We close out 2023 with a POWERFUL week that includes one of the most important Full Moons of the year and in the Moon's home sign!
Look at the positive Venusian aspects bookending the week. We are blessed. We are loved. And, the Sun is trining Jupiter - are we lucky, too? I think so!
Mercury is STILL retrograde and time is stretchy. Avoid rushing, Take your time. Expect some wonk. Let's unpack the week.
MONDAY - Venus trines Neptune, Mars trines the North Node
TUESDAY - FULL MOON IN CANCER, Chiron stations direct
WEDNESDAY - Mercury squares Neptune, Mercury conjuncts Mars, Sun trines Jupiter
THURSDAY - Mars squares Neptune
FRIDAY - Venus sextile Pluto, Venus into Sagittarius
SATURDAY - Jupiter stations direct
On MONDAY - Mars trines the North Node while Venus trines Neptune
The Venus/Neptune will color the holiday week with compassion, nostalgia, LOVE. Having this aspect on Christmas is a true blessing. Things are slightly unfocused, giving everything a magical/mystical view. Boundaries dissolve. Forgive. Connect. Carry tissues.
OUR CONTENTMENT AND JOY INCREASES WHEN WE LET GO (Pisces) OF WHAT WE HAVE BEEN FIXATED ON (Scorpio).
With Mars trining the North Node at the same time, there is an opportunity here to take action toward what we want. To be more self-sustaining. Independent. True to ourselves. NEW.
The fly in the ointment on Christmas is the Gemini Moon challenged by Mars in Sag. This could make us restless, a little anxious. The Moon in Gemini is scattered and there is some kind of pull to do something bigger, but the choices aren't clear. This could also be some kind of mini-ending where we are releasing a belief or tightening up on one. The Moon's desire is to keep things light/brief and someone or some situation outside of us is coming in and pushing something bigger. The stressed Gemini Moon starts Christmas Eve and runs into early Tuesday when she goes void off another opposition, this time with Mercury - for most people, this is going to just be the background stress of having alot to do. Petty arguments maybe. Dealing with know-it-alls or thinking we do.
Settle into that Venus/Neptune vibe - relax. What's done is done. It's all as it should be.
TUESDAY - we have a big Full Moon in Cancer at 4 degrees. Home. Family. Security. Food. Tradition. The Moon is in great flow with sober and stabilizing Saturn. This is the meat and potatoes of the week folks.

WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY - Mercury meets up with Mars, so if a fight/argument has been brewing and it hasn't happened in the build-up, here is where it is most likely to happen.
With both planets in Sag, there is alot of "know-it-all/I'm right" stuff going on. The squares to Neptune can dissolve this or maybe what is dissolving is reality/boundaries and we are saying/thinking quite unbounded/ungrounded things. Mercury is retrograde, so old words will be tossed about.
This is good energy to fight a lie, just be sure you really know the "truth". Which is probably not so likely. Unless someone is actually asking us for advice, it is probably not the time to be giving it :)
With the Sun trining Jupiter - one of the best aspects in astrology and an Earth trine to boot, we will talk more about this in the Full Moon post next! - and coming off the Full Moon in the Moon's own sign - the ENERGY THIS WEEK IS HUGE. And moving in many directions at once. Doors open. The king and the king of the Gods are working together. Karmic knots are untangling and chickens are coming home to roost.
We can use this energy to be naughty or nice.
That part is up to us. Or maybe it isn't.
The week closes out with an opportunistic Venus in Scorpio sextiling Pluto, Scorp's modern ruler, on FRIDAY. This is depth that is easy to handle. Commitment. Passion. Power. Getting what we want. Mergers. Acquisitions. This can also be the smooth release of something that is 'dead'. It's time to put it in the ground, and we do.
After her positive meeting with powerful Pluto, Venus moves into fun-loving/let's party Sagittarius just in time for New Year's Eve. Sag Suns and rising become more attractive - both easier on the eye and able to attract what they want. All our Sag houses, fired up from Mars anyway, become more attractive now, too.
On SATURDAY, with Mercury and Mars and Venus all answering to the king of the Gods, Jupiter stations direct. Planets are very strong at station. Slow down. We'll talk about Jupiter's final months in Taurus in a 2024 post!
This is the last year in our lifetime where we will end the year with Pluto in Capricorn, where he has been since 2008. A way of life is ending. LONG cycles are closing out. Cappy energy has alot to do with keeping safe by acquiring/by having one voice (or following one voice). Aquarius is about finding ways - and, this is going to have ALOT to do with TECH - for all of us to have our own unique voices. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius we had the American and French revolutions.
