Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | June 28th, 2021 - July 4th, 2021 - the pressure cooker, fireworks, limits and obligations, explosive change, healing ancestral woundings by needing to shine/do what we love/feel appreciated

MONDAY - Mars sextiles the North Node, Venus inconjuncts Jupiter (retrograde)

TUESDAY - Mars trines Juno

THURSDAY - Mars opposes Saturn (retrograde)

FRIDAY - Mars trines Chiron

SATURDAY - Mars squares Uranus

SUNDAY - Sun squares Chiron

This is a HUGE week that includes a T-Square with Mars/Saturn to change-agent Uranus - we spoke about this early July period previously, something is going to BLOW!

We kick off July with Mars (always a trigger) activating this year's BIG repeating aspect - the Saturn/Uranus square by squaring first Saturn and then Uranus - bringing the tension/frustration of the collective old vs new - what needs to change?! - directly into our livingroom! There is pressure here to deal with what we don't really want to deal with.

Mars is also re-invigorating this year's other BIG aspect (Saturn/Chiron sextile) with a healing Grand Fire Trine with Chiron and the South Node - the opportunity to heal by releasing old (even past-life/familial) beliefs/patterns of behavior. This is subtle, encouraged by our need for love/appreciation/attention, and is also a very BIG deal.

Bottom line - this week is all about Mars. He is in Leo these days - red hot/ON FIRE. Antsy. Impulsive. Passionate. Generous. Wanting APPRECIATION. Wanting ATTENTION.

MONDAY - Mars first move is an opportunistic sextile with the North Node - actions/conversations that move our story forward. Our efforts/words will flow smoothly in a NEW direction. Pay attention to what you hear/see - signals/synchronicities are likely. At the same time Mars is trining the South Node, so our efforts/movements AWAY from whatever we are just not loving anymore/our heart is just not into, will go smoothly, too. Our actions/efforts click something into or out -of place.

The fly in the ointment today is Venus's inconjunct to South Node ruler Jupiter. Maybe Venus in Leo theatrics seems a little frivolous to Jupiter in Pisces. Her (as us) wanting this and that and the other thing (attention, all that glitters, fun, some risk, romance). Jupiter is kind of hanging up the works here, so we can get a bigger-picture view. Is this the highest way to go? Is this what we really want? Venus is going to meet Mars next week in heartful Leo, so we just might get it and better be sure! Venus in Leo can be a drama mama and Pisces is above all that and needs to chill. On the flipside of this we have Pisces sacrifice/martyrdom stuff interfering with Leo's fun and games. The inconjunct is an aspect requiring some give and take and, of course, today's smoother aspects with Mars speak of the way through the Venus/Jupiter kerfuffle - what is smoothly falling into or out-of place? What is our next right move?

TUESDAY -  The Mars/Juno trine today is good for action within partnerships/contracts. Juno is retrograde (in Sagittarius), so this is part of the re-vision process. With Mars in fiery Leo our actions/efforts are coming from a place of greater joy/generosity/passion. Juno in Sag is all for this! It is easy for Sag and Leo to get on the same page. Adventure/fun, brave efforts TOGETHER - this is just what Mars needs - a partner in crime! - as he (our actions/efforts) heads into the pressure-cooker - we've got this thing!

WEDNESDAY - PRESSURE. The harder we push, the more resistance we are facing now, but the pressure to act (doubled with the building Mars/Uranus) increases. We might be blocked/receive a "no". With Saturn there is always a responsibility/reality check - maybe here to the group or to the future - that must be acknowledged. Keep in mind an opposition is like a Full Moon - it can bring something to a completion or to a result.

With the square to Uranus applying, anything even slightly a tight fit is going to feel like one of those spiky dog collars right about now!

FRIDAY - Now Mars (our actions/our passions) is trining wounded healer Chiron. Our efforts, driven by our need to stand out/shine/create/love what we are doing - are healing very old/ancestral woundings around our ability to stand up for ourselves/take care of ourselves/be ourselves.

SATURDAY - BOOM. Here's the break-up, breakdown, breakthrough. Uranus demands change and doesn't care if he drops us at the goal post, the 10 yard line or on our ass in the middle of the street. If you really, really want to do something new/different/liberating and it will disrupt very important things just make sure it is not something that just popped into your head because that square to Saturn is going to make this change sticky/long lasting. On the other hand, and yes, there are always two, that's why we have both of them - if this is a change we have been thinking about and been back and forth over during this long Mercury retrograde/Eclipse season then this week's frustrations/events will conspire - and this is already happening - to push us to take action.

SUNDAY - the week ends on a touchy note with a light shining on a vulnerability/sore spot. With the Sun in Cancer maybe that change we were so intent on making has de-stabilized our security. Home/family could trigger painful situations. Although squares are challenging/frustrating/don't feel good, they can be just the push we need. If you are in the U.S. and have a 4th of July event with family just keep in mind there might be some bruised egos served along with the potato salad. Luckily the Moon will be in comfy Taurus sextiling that same Cancer Sun which will help smooth the tensions.

xo all - back with some dailies where we'll add in the Moon and make more sense of this!

Note - the reality check/obligation is coming through your Aquarius house, the change through your Taurus house, the action through your Leo house, the healing from your Aries house - don't hesitate to email me to see how this applies for you. For example if you are a Scorpio rising (this won't apply to every Scorp rising, it depends on your degree, but let's say you are near the middle like me) - the reality check/obligation/limit/pressure is coming through home and family, the change/explosion through a partner/other people, the action through your career/public life/need to shine and the healing through work/health/day-to-day/pets.

the astrology of the Full Moon in Capricorn | June 24th, 2021 - making firm decisions, reality checks, hitting a dead end that provokes a change, moving on, imbalances with authority, re-prioritizing, healing very old wounds, beneficial changes

On June 24th, 2021 at 2:39PM EDT, the Capricorn Moon opposes the Cancer Sun at 3 degrees giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in Capricorn.

There is always a challenge between the polarity signs in play at the time of any Full Moon because we have the Moon opposite the Sun. This is Cancer vs Capricorn.

Family vs work. The security that comes from nurturing ourselves, nurturing others or being nurtured vs the security that comes from having work in the world and money coming in. Our nest at home vs our place in the world. Summer vs. winter. Preparing for birth vs preparing for death "winter is coming". Childhood vs old age. Vulnerability vs self-sufficiency. Mom vs dad. Imbalances here might become more visible to allow us to realign what isn't working.

Also imbalances with authority and authority figures and the way we use and mis-use our own authority.

The Capricorn Full Moon throws a light on what power can do and also on the finality of choices we've already made.

Full Moons bring situations to light, to a peak, a result, a conclusion. Happening in serious Capricorn - think high-noon if your entire lifetime was reduced to 24 hours - with Cappy ruler Saturn, retrograde and squaring Uranus and sextiling Chiron - BOTH this year's BIG repeating aspects gives this one added oomph.

Maybe something that began at the Cappy New Moon in mid-January 2021 has reached a result/conclusion. With strict Capricorn maybe these are the results of hard work, hardly working or working hard at the wrong things. If we have been slacking off or putting our energies into the wrong things or into things that are just not meant to happen right now this will become clear to us

(the square to Uranus will make it easier to bounce off in an entirely new direction and get some traction fairly quickly - this is likely something already on our radar).

If we have been working hard - the results will be clear now, too.

Coming immediately after the Summer Solstice - the Sun standing still for 3 days - and following Mercury's retrograde station speaks of BIG/SERIOUS DECISIONS between the old and the new. Saturn, ruler of Cappy and ruler of this lunation, likes practical/firm decisions and if we have been back and forth on something (and this waffling has made perfect sense because this is not so clear cut even though now is the time to make the clear cut) NOW here is the energy to make a stand/choice. Maybe an old commitment needs to end or responsibilities reassessed. Saturn is the energy of "no" (the firm decision ending the "maybe" and the firm decision being both the decision and the decision to not look back), so this Full Moon might be more about what we are ending than about a strong attraction/draw toward something NEW - although life has pulled strings for ALL OF US to make the new seem even more attractive than it actually is to get us MOVING!

Let's unpack the chart!

The Moon is at 3 degrees Capricorn. The Sun at 3 degrees Cancer. They are opposing. The Moon is sextiling beneficial Jupiter (retrograde) at 2 degrees Pisces and bi-quintile Mars (in Leo). Cappy ruler Saturn is retrograde and squaring Uranus (waning), sextiling Chiron - EXACT - and trining the North Node.

The Cancer/Cappy polarity is about home/inner life vs work/life in the world. The Moon's sextile (opportunity) to beneficial Jupiter speaks of good news/luck/faith. Whatever is happening is somehow to our BENEFIT. Her biquintile - a gift meeting another gift - to fiery Mars in Leo, a kind of synergy that is greater than just the sum of its parts. I also see biquintiles prominent at times we are off-loading old reactions from past losses/not doing what we did before or maybe something happening that allows the cord connected to the loss to be cut, so that with future events we will not be dealing with these unconscious reactions/responses that no longer benefit us.

With retrograde Saturn's sextile to Chiron EXACT at the Full Moon this decision/ending/result triggers a very old and painful story about our identity/ability to take care of ourselves/stand up for ourselves. Sextiles are opportunities - this one is Aquarius/Aries, so independent/individualistic. This is our most beneficial repeating aspect of 2021. Healing of childhood/past-life/ancestral TRAUMA. Saturn is trining the North Node. This is Aquarius/Gemini. BIG decisions/ideas/conversations/plans. There is something here with its roots in the past AND something geared to a BETTER FUTURE.

We are re-assessing our priorities/commitments/work in the world. Figuring out, all over again, what is worth our resources, time, efforts. Drawing our line in the sand. We are working through this kind of 'mental-pressure' for a powerful new direction. By next spring, when master number 22 gets a powerful reactivation - we will have a much better idea where all this is going because we will kind of BE THERE (and, yes, THERE will keep changing, this is the Age of Aquarius, folks, get used to it). There is no amount of money/effort that can get us back what has been irretrievably lost. Focusing on the past or getting lost in daydreams of the future is just another way to escape (notice Neptune, God of escape, is no where to be found in this lunation).

Saturn/Capricorn is reality. Here is what it is. Here is where we are. What are we going to do?

Full Moons are very potent energy and this one is ALL BUSINESS.

Make sure you get out and walk in it!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, June 23, 2021 - the luckiest day of the year thing this time with its roots in the past, healing old losses, renewed optimism, faith, examining what we want and why we want it, cutting cords

The Moon is in high-flying Sagittarius now. We are nourished/nurtured through our beliefs, education, religion, the big picture, what is foreign to us, mentors, wisdom, ADVENTURE.

She sextiles a retrograde Saturn at 5:25AM EDT, opposes Mercury at 10:50AM EDT and finally goes void at 10:08PM EDT off a square with Neptune. She is void until Thursday morning when she sobers up in serious Capricorn. So, a bit of a mixed-bag emotionally with the possibility of some crossed wires mid-morning.

The good news - this is the day the Sun trines a retrograde Jupiter. This is a thrice a year aspect, sometimes called by astrologers "the luckiest day of the year". I'm not sure about that, but certainly with Jupiter so magical (even retrograde) in Pisces, there is real connection/spiritual support here. With the Sun in home, family and security focused Cancer we could be feeling a real contentment in these areas (also our natal Cancer house theme) as well as greater confidence, optimism and faith.

This is also the day, always the fly in the ointment, Venus, nearing the end of her travels through Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. This is exact in the evening, but has been building all week. How this plays out for us will have alot to do with our natal placements and energies, but this could be something about our resources vs their resources, mom vs dad, child vs parent, home (inner life) vs work (outer life). Power struggles are possible. Oppositions are like Full Moons so they can bring results/endings/sometimes loss. Feelings of jealousy could get stirred up. Maybe we are wanting what we can't have. Maybe we are wanting more power. Merging and/or purging are sometimes needed advice for Plutonian struggles.

With beneficial Venus's next aspect a biquintile (one gift interacting with another gift/double quintile) to beneficial Jupiter who is trining the Sun - no doubt the Sun/Jupiter will help us through the Venus/Pluto. Maybe the biquintile's "double gift" is a chance to "un-do" (that retrograde Jupiter) an old and almost-magnetic reaction based on a past loss (can be past life/ancestral, too, with Pisces). See an example below. We all have something like this going on.

Certainly Venus is asking us to examine what we want and why we want it.

xo all

Here's an example. Many people have something like this going on/playing out : a young man we'll call Bob has an ancestor, who may or may not have been Bob in a prior life, it really doesn't matter because either way he carries this story in his DNA/karma - whose head was unjustly cut-off by a mad king (in this case King Henry VIII). In this lifetime, right on time within this man's chart's connection to that life's chopping block, Bob had his own head cut off by another mad king - his larger-than-life boss. Losing this job 'felt' like Bob's actual head was cut off and this is even how he described it. This happened in the fall of 2019.

Now we are, all of us,  living at a level past where we always died before, and after much reconstructing of his life and much letting go, Bob, having come full circle, sort-of, finds himself back in the same position again, this time under the employ of another mad king (named Elon Musk, I am not kidding

with his head on a sort-of 'forever' chopping block BUT with an opportunity right now to leave the circus for something maybe less circus-y. Maybe this week's energies will conspire to bring situations/events that require/ask him to examine what he wants and why he wants it and maybe he'll decide another dance with the mad king is what he wants, magnetized by familiarity chaos/Uranus has a strong power over us or maybe this time he'll be the one to use the ax.

King Henry VIII, by the way, had a 22 degree Cappy Uranus - a degree wiped out by January 2020's Saturn/Pluto conjunction, also home to Bob's 21 degree Cappy Moon.

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of June 21st - June 28th, 2021 - blessings and tenderness, some jealousy/power plays mid-week, clarity and forward movement, the fog/lethargy begins to lift, BIG goal-oriented Full Moon

I'm late to the charts with this one and what a week!

Two planets change signs, three change direction including inner planet Mercury who stations direct and we have a BIG Full Moon in Capricorn, plus our favorite repeating aspect of the year - the Saturn/Chiron sextile. We also have the amazing Sun/Jupiter trine the same week as the amazing Venus/Neptune trine - what magic is this?!

Whatever we have been waiting for - well, this week we have it.  Movement. Clarity (total? no, but enough, there will be ENOUGH). The paperwork. The facts. A decision. With Mercury direct and Neptune retrograde the fog will start to lift. Venus (our relationships, money, resources, self-esteem) is a major player, so her themes, as well as home/family and career/public life, will dominate.

SUNDAY - Sun into Cancer, Jupiter stations retrograde

MONDAY - Venus trines Neptune - GRAND WATER TRINE

TUESDAY - Mercury stations direct

WEDNESDAY - Sun trines Jupiter, Venus opposes Pluto

THURSDAY - Full Moon in Capricorn, Saturn sextiles Chiron

FRIDAY - Neptune stations retrograde

SUNDAY - Venus into Leo

SUNDAY - Sun into Cancer, Jupiter stations retrograde

The Sun crosses the Aries point of 0 degrees Cancer, ushering in a new season focused on home, family, what we need to feel safe/secure, mothering, our past/childhood, patriotism. Happening as Jupiter stations retrograde in fellow water sign Pisces (the Sun and Jupiter will form an opportunistic trine on Wednesday that is in play all week) makes Jupiter's backward journey a big part of our Summer Solstice season (winter down-under).

Jupiter stations retrograde at 3 degrees Pisces. An area of expansion/growth might temporarily stall. Our faith might be tested. Maybe we have missed an opportunity and need to move backward, or even sideways, to line up with it properly later. An especially good time (through September 14th) for Sagittarius rising folks to re-invent themselves. For all of us to re-imagine/re-work the house ruled by Jupiter in our natal chart.

Keep in mind, Jupiterian delays are always blessings in disguise.

MONDAY - Venus, at 23 degrees Cancer, trines Neptune

This is a very beautiful/tender/mystical energy. Good for art/music. Excellent for family healing/forgiveness/unity. Unconditional love. An added bonus - the Moon will be in Scorpio (evening EDT) making the Cancer/Pisces trine a Cancer/Pisces/Scorpio Grand Water Trine. Scorpio adds in intimacy/depth, pulls in power dynamics/secrets. Can help sooth the building intensity of the Venus/Pluto. On the other hand we might fall hard and fast for something!

TUESDAY - Mercury stations direct at 16 degrees Gemini

Whatever has been held up/delayed since May 29th will now start moving forward. We have been back and forth over the information/details, talking this OVER for long enough. HERE are the answers. HERE are the facts. We know enough to choose. We know enough to plan. The personal planets are all moving forward for the next couple months - something in our life will start moving forward now, too. This knowing/certainty thing will really grow legs once Neptune stations retrograde at the end of the week and even more fully once Mercury gets past his square to Neptune on July 7th!

WEDNESDAY - Sun, at 3 degrees Cancer, trines Jupiter retrograde in Pisces - Venus, at 26 degrees Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn

Now, the Sun trines our newly retrograde Jupiter. Here is optimism. Faith. GOOD LUCK. Collectively this will be about home/family, but personally will apply to your natal Cancer house theme - the future looks better/bigger/brighter.

At the same time, the fly in the ointment here - Venus is opposing powerful Pluto.

This can bring intense emotions/manipulations/power plays within relationships/families/real estate or family/home business situations/with mom. We might feel jealous/possessive. Stuff we have pushed down/wanted to forget, can rise up. Fear. Resentments. Blocks around our self-worth, relationship imbalances. For some, this will be part of the Full Moon's story about home/inner life vs career/work in the world. Plutonian oppositions can mean something gets removed.

We might discover what we really want because we won't want to lose it! So, we have Jupiter giving us a great big YES and Venus/Pluto giving us something to push against/make it real if we are willing to go deep/get real with whatever comes up.

THURSDAY - Full Moon at 3 degrees Capricorn with a retrograde Saturn, at 12 degrees Aquarius sextiles Chiron in Aries

This is a stabilizing/chickens home to roost/BENEFICIAL Full Moon coupled with our best repeating aspect of the year, the healing/mastering Saturn sextile Chiron - expect a BIG POST.  With Saturn retrograde and ruling this lunation - this one will have its roots in the past AND require some adjustments as we move along over the next couple weeks.

FRIDAY - Neptune stations retrograde at 23 degrees Pisces

Maybe think of Neptune retrograde like this - we spend about half the year standing knee-deep in the ocean, mesmerized by the large and colorful rocks at our feet. But, most of the time when we pick up a rock for a closer look, its beauty/magic fades somewhat. The huge/fanciful rock looks rather ordinary outside the watery shimmer. We spend the other half of the year with the tide gone out. The glitter fades, but we can see clearly what we have. Most of the rocks are just normal rocks of normal coloring AND there are maybe a few beauties we have previously overlooked. This 'tide goes out' is like Neptune retrograde. Not because the colorful rocks disappear, but because we can truly see what we actually have.

The illusion/uncertainty fades.

HERE is what we have. HERE is where we are. This is only a bad thing if we have counting on something being more fantastical than it actually is.

We put our rose-colored glasses in the drawer. Some kind of reality check is possible/likely. Dreams we have outgrown/don't line up with anymore will begin to dissolve. The grip of addictions/escape tendencies can lessen (or increase for a bit depending on our natal chart, but this is always a good time to deal with them in a different way). This is a particularly good time for Pisces rising people to reinvent themselves (gain stability/reality check), Pisces Suns to be more practical/taken seriously and for all of us to see, without the rose-colored glasses, what is actually happening in the house Neptune rules in our natal chart. Neptune will be retrograde until December 2nd.

SUNDAY - Venus enters Leo

Venus (love, money, values) had been somewhat comfy, although quite restrained, in Cancer for the last few weeks. She prioritized security over all else and this kept her safe, but also a wee bit bored. Cancer rules the Moon and a Venus/Moon natal opposition is considered the Madonna/Whore complex in a man's chart - so Venus has probably felt like she was living with her mother-in-law!

With her move into Leo she gets to spread her wings a little (maybe a lot, maybe a whole lot and we do, too!). She leaves her mother-in-law's safe little house with the shuttered windows, central air conditioning, and alarm system where her mother-in-law was paying the rent. What more could Venus want, Cancer asks as Venus heads for the door?

"Quite a bit MORE", Venus answers.

She moves into a noisy apartment on the other side of town with curtain-less windows, a fan that wakes the neighbors when their fan isn't waking her, a deadbolt that doesn't quite latch properly and the rent only gets paid if she pays it. Standing on her own two feet (and what lovely feet they are - this is Venus we are talking about!), Venus is more confident. She is also more competitive. She has to be to make it on her own (cue Mary Tyler Moore tossing that damn hat).

We will be, too.

So, what does this mean to us? First, our Leo house, hosting the lovely Venus, becomes more attractive. Leo Suns and rising signs are more naturally attractive (ie easy on the eye and able to attract). We attract what we want and need (Venus) through Leo - so by standing out, standing up, being passionate, taking the world by storm - you get the idea.

We could, of course, go overboard with all of this. Leo (ruled by the Sun) doesn't really like others blocking their light. Competition can get ugly. We could become downright diva-like. Being in love with being in love fits here, too. Wanting to be adored will make being ignored harder to handle.

Venus in Leo is not so into compromise. She is into fun (she meets all her new neighbors and is invited to all the best parties) and romance (there is surely some renewed passion without her mother-in-law in the next room) and creativity (she has a new apartment to decorate!) and passion.

Our passion/confidence will be what attracts others to us and what we are attracted to in others now.

Venus will be in Leo until July 21st.

Back with some dailies and the BIG Full Moon post!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, June 18th, 2021 - in sync, creativity, fun social engagements, passionate enthusiasm

The Moon moves into Libra today. We are nourished/nurtured by our social activities, relationships, balance, justice, peace. Now the Moon is answering to beneficial Venus in Cancer (the Moon's sign and pulling home, family and security happily into the mix) creating a nice mutual reception and strengthening both the Moon and Venus for the next couple days.

Her only aspect today is an opportunistic sextile to Mars (in Leo) at 12:32PM EDT.

Our actions smoothly/easily lining things up to get us what we want. This is a creative/fun-loving vibe. Passion. Enthusiasm. Good for connecting with other people, negotiating, moving forward with collaborative projects. Having a good time. Get out and about.

Next week's Full Moon in reality-based Capricorn will close out this spring's Eclipse spin-cycle (are we wet/dry/wrinkle free?), Mercury will move forward (decisions will be made, momentum will shift forward), the Saturn/Uranus square will unwind a little bit, things will slow down enough that we can catch our breath.

Then between July 1st and July 3rd, Mars will be reactivating the Saturn/Uranus square and the Saturn/Chiron trine - so our Leo house/our ego (12-13 degrees) will be pulled into BOTH of 2021's important aspects. Mars often acts as a trigger and pulls collective aspects into our personal lives or maybe more appropriately said, pulls our lives onto the new timelines through these aspect portals via personal events and situations, so for some people the first couple days of July might have an important impact on the rest of their year.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 - nourished through the nitty gritty, another look at that thing that keeps us up at night, coming home to ourselves

The Moon is in practical Virgo now. We are nourished/nurtured by practical attention to details, taking care of our health/our pets, work, quality over quantity, being of service. She opposed Jupiter at 2:59AM EDT and goes on to trine Uranus at 11:07PM EDT. Good early energy for organizing, working on 'the dream'. Jupiter is within a couple days of his retro station and Virgo ruler Mercury is retrograde until next week, so we might be updating/re-vising something with its roots in the past.

The Sun at 25 degrees Gemini squares intuitive Pallas in Pisces. This is the nitty gritty vs the fantasy. If we have been lazing about and something requires our attention/efforts this aspect will bring tension, but also the push to get something going here. There is a fine line between following an ideal and losing touch with our immediate reality. On the other hand, if we have been running all over the place with a million details/errands, this square can bring us back to our purpose/center/higher self - what really matters here/why are we doing all this? Maybe we need to step outside our official role and be guided by the larger story.

Vesta, at 17 degrees Virgo, is squared by Mercury (retrograde in Gemini) and sextiled by Venus (in Cancer). In the iChing, hexagram 17 is called 'following'. It asks, "how are things flowing and how can we move with them? where are we being nudged and guided?'.

The square to Mercury is the second of three (the first was back on May 8th and third will be on July 8th). Mercury is going back over the information/contracts/communication and Vesta is focused in on what is most important here. Her square, similar to the Sun/Pallas, but on a more practical, day-to-day level - pulls us back to center/what is keeping us up at night/what is worth staying up for. Vesta in Virgo is the best energy for fixing, but she might get overly invested in something unfixable/not worth all this time and attention. So, Mercury moves through here again, asking us to take another look at this. What are the facts here? What needs to be talked about again? What information needs to be re-viewed?

At the same time Venus in home/family/security focused Cancer moves into a smooth sextile with Vesta offering us a way through the square. Sextiles are soft aspects, so we need to be paying attention to feel this one. Vesta is about purity/sacred devotion and this is amped up in the similar energies of Virgo. Venus in Cancer wants what feels like home. Home is a more valuable space. Family is a resource. How does this need for a 'safe place to fall' benefit our Vesta (that thing that keeps us up at night/fire we don't want to let go out)? As adults we make our choice and then we pursue that choice then hopefully we can stop and make ourselves at home with what we have attained. There is alot of retrograde energy right now and a confusing Neptune squaring the Sun - choices are challenging. It's just so freakin' hard to know. This sextile speaks of the opportunity that comes from incorporating Cancerian values - home, family, self-care, security - into whatever we are focused on fixing.

Today's astrology Forecast | Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 - creative conversations, making it fun, what our heart wants, just how shiny are we

The Moon is in Leo now - we are nourished/nurtured by creative projects, children, romance, risk, recreation, attention. She sextiled a retrograde Mercury at 12:57AM EDT and goes void at 1:27PM EDT off a sextile with the Sun. She will be void until 11:02PM EDT when she moves into Virgo.

Sextiles are smooth connections/opportunities. This is fire and air so dramatic/passionate/creative conversations/thinking is favored.

The Moon's contact with a retrograde Mercury might speak of a conversation/information that moves a creative project forward/helps us to shine. With Mercury retrograde, this could be something old with a new twist/something we are re-viewing or re-peating. If a choice is required today, choose the 'fun' (maybe slightly risky) option and don't be afraid to stand out/speak up/say or choose something that garners attention.

Luna's follow-up meeting with the Sun is this month's Waxing Sextile at 24 degrees - Leo/Gemini. Here is the space in our New Moon journey (and keep in mind the New Moon was the Solar Eclipse in Gemini) where we need to bring a little fun/creative courage/charisma into the mix.

Keep in mind Mercury is still retrograde for another week and with the Moon in Leo answering to the Sun in Gemini answering to Mercury retrograde - we are still re-vising, re-considering, re-thinking. Today's contact with a lunar Leo asks us to think about what our heart wants/how we want to shine.

Once the Moon gets into Virgo late tonight (and for the next couple days) we will again have both the Moon and the Sun answering to that retrograde Mercury, so it may be doubly important to stay on top of important details, double check emails before hitting 'send', etc. Life becomes more practical. We will feel better if things are organized, if we are taking care of ourselves and the day-to-day details.

Weekly Astrology Forecast | Week of June 14th - June 20th, 2021 - the past vs the future, building a new world, challenging changes, break-throughs/break-ups/breaking free, summer calls us home, Santa Claus takes his vaca

A tricky week with multiple challenges. Forewarned is forearmed. The second of three Saturn/Uranus squares will color the week - we talked about the first one and the series in detail HERE. The Eclipse energies are still in play. In another week Mercury will be direct and we will have a solid Cappy Full Moon, so by the 24th we will know what we are doing.

Hang in there.

Tuesday has some nice lunar aspects in the a.m. followed by a long void Moon. Friday and Saturday have some nice lunar aspects, too (Moon in Libra then, so with a focus on our relationships, being social and balanced). The rest of the week plays out something like this -

MONDAY - Saturn square Uranus, Mars inconjunct Jupiter, Venus inconjunct Juno

THURSDAY - Sun inconjunct Pluto, First Quarter Moon

SUNDAY - Sun into Cancer/Summer Solstice, Jupiter stations retrograde

MONDAY - a retrograde Saturn at 13 degrees Aquarius squares Uranus, Mars at 2 degrees Leo inconjuncts Jupiter at 2 degrees Pisces, Venus at 14 degrees Cancer is inconjunct Juno in Sagittarius

Saturn/Uranus is THE repeating transit of 2021. It is in play all year. They reached their first exact square on February 17, 2021 - we talked about that HERE. Now, we have the second square with Saturn retrograde. The third square is on Christmas Eve!

With Saturn retrograde maybe something around rules/responsibilities/freedom needs to be re-negotiated. Maybe we have to take another look at what we are building/what we are committing to. Saturn/Uranus are about power struggles over what FORM something should take.

With Uranus square a retrograde Saturn, old responsibilities/work/limits/rules can make us feel restricted/antsy. We might want to bust loose or something might be busting loose that feels threatening to our security. Breakthroughs. Break-ups. And breakdowns are possible.

Saturnian aspects are kind of like tests.

They trigger our natal Saturnian energies. The sign in which Saturn is nataly placed says alot about the way we deal with Saturn issues and the defenses we erect/mobilize to become the individuals we are and help us fulfill our purpose (Saturn does this by differentiating us from what we are not, what we can't be/can't have). Saturn helps us through limits, boundaries/material reality to BE our Sun/more solar. His work is both personal and collective. Uranus is an outer planet - his work is not personal. We can be having a personal Uranus transit, but the transit is designed to move forward the group energy. What happens to us individually is of little consequence to Uranus. Think of the way Uranian Prometheus gave fire to man - every man, not one particular man. Because Uranus is collective and rules change/chaos/the future we can't know what will happen with Uranus contacts. People never had fire before, so couldn't know what to expect with Prometheus's gift. We can't know what will happen with our own Uranian gifts either. That's why this year, with its multiple powerful Uranian squares, is impossible to predict. If we try to figure out what will happen/change, we will almost certainly unconsciously overlook/avoid the thing that IS going to happen/change because Uranian changes us through WHAT WE DON'T KNOW YET.

Make sense?

Now, something isn't necessarily going to happen today, because this is a long transit through FIXED signs. By next spring we will be through with these squares and know where we stand. We will look at our charts and our Aquarius and Taurus house themes and our natal Saturn and Uranus placement and rulerships and understand what happened. For now though, even when we think we know we probably don't know. Uranus is breaking up our fixed Aqua energies through Taurus - our money, values, resources, self-esteem. Uranus is conjunct Ceres, so pulling in mothering situations, change of life issues, things we can't control, our ability to negotiate/cut a deal/sometimes settle for what we can get.

If you have planets or points near 13 degrees of the fixed signs you will probably feel this one strongest. Keep in mind Saturn is retrograde, so this is the one where we are re-committing, re-structuring, re-building, re-doing. This might connect back to mid-February. This is the past vs the future. What has changed? What needs to? These squares are showing us these rules we live by in order to be taken care of also keep us stuck. The comforts we embrace at the expense of other people are no longer comfortable either. Revolution AND responsibility THAT is the Age of Aquarius. One without the other won't work. This is a process. We don't have to have all the answers right now. We are preparing for something without quite knowing what it is.

This is also the day, and this one will be more applicable to TODAY - Mars inconjuncts Jupiter. This is Jupiter's last aspect before he stations retrograde (remember his time in Pisces was just a sneak peek of late this year/next year, he still has work to do in Aquarius). Mars is freshly minted in Leo. The Leo/Pisces inconjunct might be something about needing to sacrifice/forgive (?) - in order to succeed or maybe we need to trim some physical excesses/ego in order to turn our attention to something higher/more connecting. Or maybe our watery Pisces dreamworld needs some real-world fiery action. There is ego and illusion here, sounds tricky. Inconjuncts are give and take and nothing is perfect in the end, but can be workable. Sort of. Sometimes.

Venus is also inconjunct a retrograde Juno. Maybe our partnership/contract is out of sort with a home/family situation. Cancer/Sagittarius 'rocks and hard places' are about security/ownership and freedom/expansion. Cancer wants expansion, too, but needs that home base whereas Sag is more oriented to a larger audience. Venus in Cancer can also be a little needy and Juno in Sag isn't really up for filling that kind of role. This is kind of repeating the Saturn/Uranus (Aqua/Taurus), so pulls the energy into TODAY, too.

Everyone is going to need to take a breath today! And the Moon is in Leo squaring Uranus and opposing Saturn - good grief!!

THURSDAY - the Sun at 26 degrees Gemini inconjuncts Pluto at 26 degrees Capricorn, the Moon, at 27 degrees Virgo squares the Sun

So, now the Sun hits his own 'rock and a hard place' with powerful Pluto and then the Virgo Moon squares the Sun. The Sun in Gemini wants to flit about here and there and Pluto in sober Cappy is kind of grounding him in a more limiting/structural reality - HERE is the work, the responsibilities/the goals. Pluto requires a merging (commitment) or purging (release). The Gemini/Cappy inconjunct might also speak of our words/ideas not getting any traction. Avoid gossip/chit-chat/careless over-sharing. Pluto is the truth that mostly we can't handle, so maybe the less said the more people will strain to hear us.

Then the Moon, from practical/focused Virgo squares the multi-tasking Gemini Sun. If we are running all over the place it's time to focus, take one thing at a time. Virgo is the best fixer, so what needs fixing? This is a square, so the fix won't be comfortable, but something about settling down/focusing on the reality/facts will help. Mercury, the ruler of both Virgo and Gemini, is retrograde, so what have we missed? This is about small steps/decisions in a practical direction.

SUNDAY - Jupiter stations retrograde at 3 degrees Pisces - expansion slows, Santa is taking his vaca. This happens on the Summer Solstice/Sun into Cancer. We will talk about this in its own post!

In the meantime, know this week might be challenging/frustrating. That's OK. All these things are handle-able and we are the ones with precisely the right hands for the job. Inconjuncts are about letting go of tucked corners and sheets we can bounce a quarter on (what is that all about? who does this?) and everything coming together in a tidy little way. Compromise will be needed and things can still be messy. Messy isn't always a bad thing. Tight sheets are highly over-rated and cramp our toes.

Back with some dailies!

Mars into Leo | June 11th, 2021 - leading from our heart, taking a risk - part I

At 9:34AM EDT on June 11th, Mars finally leaves watery Cancer (does it feel like Mars has been in Cancer forever or is it just me?!) for fiery Leo. Mars is our masculine action, initiative, passion, anger. Leo is our masculine enthusiasm, heart, ego, pride, creativity, generosity, risk, courage. We can see how Mars can be much more comfortable, ie Mars-y, here than he could be in emotional, but guarded Cancer.

Mars will be in Leo until July 29th.

It's not even mid-June and our Leo houses are WAKING UP!

If you are a Leo Sun (or other fixed sign - Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio) this transit is going to wake you up. If you are an Aries rising or a Scorpio rising (your chart is ruled by Mars) this transit is going to wake you up. Everyone's natal Leo house is waking up!

Now, because Leo is ruled by the Sun, who is still in Gemini answering to a retrograde Mercury - this going backward to go forward thing still applies.

Leo is the sign of the lion - the king of the jungle. One of the best ways to understand the king of the jungle is to understand the little lions we keep in our homes - those creatures called cats. Everyone who "owns" a cat knows what a misnomer this word is when applied to the feline species. Cats can't be "owned". We know it and they know it. It is perfectly natural for them to convey an attitude of comfortable superiority.

This energy, this "presence" is what Leo is all about.

Everyone has Leo somewhere in their natal chart - a space we are meant to feel "comfortably superior". Ruled by the Sun, this is an area of life (in addition to our Sun sign) we are meant to SHINE. With Mars here for the next few weeks, we are all about to get a whole lot more shiny.

The next few weeks is a great time to take action with something we are passionate about. If we need courage, if we need confidence, if we need attention - this transit will provide the fiery push to take the action we need to take. Coming on the heels of a BIG NEW MOON, Mars transit of Leo is even more powerful.

Sometimes when we ask what our heart really wants we do not like the answer we get because we know it will force us to disconnect from something else - maybe something we used to love or maybe something that made/makes us feel safe or maybe something that is comfortable. Or because Leo's instinct is primal we start overthinking (Leo's polarity sign of Aquarius's shadow) all the ways this 'desire' isn't going to work.

We might use our minds (and remember Mars is answering to Mercury right now) and words to start creating problem "cords" and entanglements from 'what our heart wants' to all kinds of crap we don't want to happen.

Let's not do that.

Looking for dragons doesn't protect us from dragons - it actually creates the dragons!

We don't have to get too far ahead of ourselves - we don't have to know HOW we are going to do it. We just have to get clear on WHAT we want/need and take some kind of action. Life can use whatever action we take to get us where we need to go.

Much has changed since the end of 2012 - we have lost the the energetic gatekeepers that kept things from happening too quickly - they have folded up shop and left the building! We don't need them, but we still think we do. We really can get there (wherever there is) from HERE.

Looking ahead we know with Mars in Leo he is going to inconjunct Jupiter (Leo/Pisces are inconjunct), sextile the North Node (Leo/Gemini are sextile), oppose Saturn (Leo/Aquarius are opposites), trine Chiron (Leo/Aries are trine), inconjunct Pluto (Leo/Capricorn are inconjunct) and when he gets to the very end of Leo at the end of July he will oppose Jupiter who will be retrograde and back in Aquarius. The Sun (Leo is ruled by the Sun) won't be in Leo until July 22nd, so they won't meet and Mars will spend much of his time in Leo answering to Mercury (retrograde until June 22nd, but strong in his home sign). So, we can see our actions (Mars) will work us through the Mercury retrograde story and might involve Mercurian energies - words, conversations, ideas, contracts, paperwork, local situations, tech, transportation, siblings, etc.

I wanted to pop this up, because we really do want to be taking action from this more prominent/less risk-averse position than the security-conscious position we were dealing with in Cancer starting now. Think like a king, Lead with our hearts.

In Part II - we'll look at the ways this transit fits in with the larger storyline of the 2020's hero's journey morphing into heroine's journey (and this isn't a male/female thing, although it is a masculine/feminine thing - think about the ways Harry Potter, the films are finally available on HBO and I've been binging them again, is more heroine than he is swash-buckling hero - using beginner's mind/vulnerability, inter-relatedness/inter-dependence, magic/faith, not in it for personal gain, etc). As the disappeared Goddess energies re-emerge into our consciousness CHANGING EVERYTHING, we'll look at how Mars in Leo fits in with this.

The meaning of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini | June 10th, 2021 - fated cosmic reset, starting something not totally brand new, clarity followed by faith, our gifts merge with other people's gifts, changing our mind

On Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at 6:53AM EDT the Gemini Moon meets the Gemini Sun giving us this month's New Moon - our annual New Moon in Gemini, happening conjunct the Moon's Nodes gives us our last Eclipse of this Eclipse season - a Solar Eclipse in Gemini.

Eclipses are cosmic course corrections. Things get eclipsed out or out of our way. Like a computer being rebooted after a change to its operating system - we get a re-set. So, although this is a New Moon - the time in the dark when things are starting that we can't always see are starting - the Moon eclipsing out the Sun, brings an ending, too. This is an Annular Eclipse (the ring of fire), so not a total but because of the time of its prenumbral phase its affects can last for up to 5 years!

Ruled by Mercury and ruler of our collective 3rd house, Gemini rules our growth through the exchange of information, through contact with our immediate environment, through language. Gemini reigns over: the flow of information, technology, communication, our mental processes, conversations, stories, our local community, commerce, our neighbors, our siblings, our transportation.

Let's unpack the chart!

The Moon meets the Sun at 20 degrees Gemini. Within hours both will meet Mercury (the ruler of Gemini and so ruler of this lunation). Mercury is retrograde (but protected in his/her own sign), cazimi/in the heart of the Sun. This meeting with the Sun is her/his inferior conjunction - the time during a Mercury retrograde cycle when something is ILLUMINATED/something lost is found/something hidden is revealed/helpful information can come in. Keep in mind this revealing is happening right after the Moon eclipses the Sun. So, the Sun gets his reset (in a sense) and then passes this new information/timeline to Mercury.

The Sun/Moon conjunction with the Mercury/Sun conjunction is a double dose of new beginnings with our heart and our head working together and in the dualistic sign of Gemini where 1=2 anyway, PLUS , so near to the Moon's nodes this one is a powerful/fated Solar Eclipse giving it even more oomph and staying power!

Mercury, the Moon and the Sun square Neptune/Pallas conjunct in Pisces (applying/waxing). The three trine Saturn (waning). They oppose Juno (waning). Since this is an event chart, too, we can look to see what the other players are doing. Uranus is conjunct Ceres EXACT, in Taurus and answering to an out-of-bounds Venus. The Moon/Sun/Mercury are biquintile Pluto.

Mercury is retrograde in his home sign of airy/mental Gemini (Venus was retrograde in Gemini last summer, same degrees, and Mars will go retrograde in Gemini in October 2022, same degrees - this is all part of the same story. Our Gemini houses are really getting redone!).

With Mercury, we are re-thinking, re-vising, re-viewing.

He/she (as us) has trined a retrograde Saturn - maybe there were discussions with authority, maybe old responsibilities have strengthened our present situation, maybe our choices have narrowed (in a good way). Saturn is retrograde also, so we are re-structuring, re-looking at our commitments, our responsibilities/the new rules.

We are past that trine to Saturn. We are also past that opposition to Juno - that partnership/contract issue. This is small vs big. Close vs foreign. Facts vs beliefs. Your Gemini house vs your Sag house themes - there could be a million ways this might be playing out. Relationship justice might be a theme here. This is still in play, but waning.

Mercury meets the Sun - HERE is what our retrograde story has been about. We are at the halfway point now. HERE is something we know. We don't know everything, but we do know THIS now. Maybe we have made a decision/a choice. We are not certain, but our thinking is of the moment. We are in sync with celestial timing. Then moving backward, Mercury slides behind the Sun and he is squaring illusive Neptune - so after some earlier clarity we aren't sure AGAIN, we have to go with our intuition/go on faith - NOT BURN ANY BRIDGES JUST YET.

With that Neptune square (which sometimes brings dissolving endings) it will be hard to know what is real. Confusion. Rose-colored glasses. Things can be disappointing/not as they appear. People can over-promise and under-deliver. Anything that looks too good to be true, is too good to be true. If there is something here we don't want to look at too closely THAT is exactly the thing that will sabotage us/trip us up later. If possible, it might be best to delay big decisions until after Mercury is direct and maybe even until after Mercury's third and final square to Neptune in early July. Keep those doors/windows open - hack 'em, jack 'em, whatever it takes. Mars is at the very end of Cancer - so something might have us feeling desperate, like we have to do something and here is something. On the other hand, and this is why we have at least two, sometimes these 'moon shot' style Hail Mary plays - can work, or at least get something unstuck/change its trajectory.

And keep in mind, Eclipse events (and they might have come a month ago because this stuff works backward, too) are FATED, timelines are merging. The stuff that's leaving is leaving. The stuff that is coming at us is coming at us. If choose we must, then choose we must. That 29 degree Mars may be just the kick in the ass we need because we can FEEL something needs to happen here/we have to DO something!

We have wise warrior Pallas conjunct Neptune. She is working intuitively in Pisces, seeing the patterns, connecting the dots. With Mercury retrograde, we can't really think our way through this one (although we should be applying logic/facts and lessons from the past) -but we can pray/meditate/value our intuition here. There is an almost dreamy strategy in here somewhere that we have to TRUST. Life knows better than we do how to get us the best results.

Uranus is conjunct Ceres EXACT. Another conjunction, another new storyline. In Taurus, a sign Ceres could be said to rule. This one could bring a quick change with a mothering situation. A change of life issue/situation that hits suddenly. Or maybe what we have been growing/tending to in Taurus morphs on us. Maybe this is the SHOCK of new life/something new that must be tended. Ceres is going to quickly square Saturn, so there could be some responsibilities/rules that quickly apply to whatever this NEW is. Saturn is retrograde, so this part - the rules/limits/reality check/hard work - won't be a total surprise.

The bottom line with this New Moon in Gemini - something is eclipsed out, this has likely already happened since we had the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse first. Something NEW is starting. The new will somehow not be totally new because Mercury is retrograde. We get a glimpse of reality NOW (maybe have to make a choice knowing it may not be our final decision) then we are back in the weeds for at least another 12 days, maybe until we get past that final Mercury/Neptune square in early July.

Either way by the middle of July we know what we are doing and we are doing it. Our time in the weeds - IS A TEST OF FAITH. Take action with what shows up. Mars is about to move into brave/dignified Leo - this will help.

Venus is out-of-bounds and she ran this race last summer when we were resetting our values. Now, it's our thinking that is getting the do-over.

Whatever is started now (think seed in the ground) has a biquintile to Pluto - this is a GIFT. With Pluto in Cappy this could be about a career/public life matter, a dealing with authority, other people's money, loans, inheritances, taxes, intimacy, reproduction, truth. Pluto is retrograde, so again this has its roots in the past. Biquintiles merge our gifts with other people's gifts. Here is where 1+1=3, maybe 300!

I hope something here is helpful. We have had these confusing Neptune squares with our Gemini New Moons for the last few years - we are being asked to choose without having all the facts. That's how it is. Maybe our knowing would screw things up - maybe we would say, no way, I don't want THIS! When this would actually be the very thing that gets us to THAT (the thing we do want). Any contact with Neptune brings in help from behind closed doors/our past/our ancestors.

GEMINI NEW MOON AFFIRMATIONS

This is a great time for affirmations for Gemini themes - your Gemini natal house theme, movement, flexibility, wit, communication, logic, social graces and ease, siblings, local issues, teaching/learning, mental anxiety, areas of life where you are seeing double or doing two things at once, our nervous system, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and our lungs.

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a good frame of mind and into a clear/clean/quiet space - always make affirmations from a  positive place (meaning both happy and certain) - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud - then release your attention from them knowing that your intention is known.

Know what you seek is seeking you (Rumi).

Know these things are already yours.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 - following our arrow, a new idea/conversation that is not totally new, something gets firmed up, one step at a time

The Moon is in Gemini today. We are nourished/nurtured through conversation, information, having lots of irons in the fire/balls in the air. We might be focused on writing/reading/learning, children's school issues, sibling/local community/transportation situations. Before the Gemini Moon makes her annual meeting with the Sun - tomorrow's New Moon Solar Eclipse - she will meet the North Node and then trine (brakes off) a retrograde Saturn, in fellow air-sign Aquarius, at 5:43PM EDT.

The meeting with the North Node speaks of a conversation/idea/information that points us in a fresh direction. With the Moon opposing the South Node maybe an outdated belief is discarded.

The follow-up trine to sober Saturn could limit our options - in a good way if we have had trouble deciding. The conversation (and with both Saturn and Mercury retrograde this won't be a new conversation) matures/gets serious. Gemini likes her fast moves, but Saturn always plays the long game. Aquarius brings the logic/intellect, the group, the goals that bring us into connection with other people.

Or maybe we need to finish something up before tomorrow's New Moon, some paperwork maybe? Some dealing with authority? What is that about?

For today, keep an eye/ear on the North Node. HERE is the way forward. A blinking arrow that might be easy to miss amidst all the other lights/signs/action (Gemini is BUSY I've said that, right?!) - did you see it back on May 31st when the Sun met the North Node - do you feel it now?

The tricky part of this, and Gemini, ruled by trickster Mercury, can be quite tricky, is we are building to tomorrow's Eclipse square dreamy/illusive Neptune. Things are influx. Uncertain. And a retrograde Mercury - the ruler of the North Node, the Moon, the Eclipse - tells us we have to go back before we can move ahead. What are we re-thinking, re-viewing, re-evaluating? Gemini is the sign with lots of moving parts - maybe there is a missing piece/detail somewhere behind us we have lost/missed/failed to notice and need to find before we can move on ....

Today's Astrology Forecast | Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 - the run up to Thursday's big reality check eclipse (powerful endings, starting/re-starting something) and a sneak peek at the week ahead

Sorry I didn't get a weekly up this weekend - the weather here (plus that Neptune!) was just too good to avoid a little escape - plus I've been feeling wiped out.

No worries, the Solar Eclipse New Moon post next will pretty much cover everything anyway!

For today, the exalted Taurus Moon begins with an early/early (late) sextile to Neptune at 12:46AM EDT, then trines powerful Pluto (retrograde) at 7:10AM EDT and finally goes void off a sextile to an out-of-bounds Mars at 11:06AM EDT. She is void until 2:47PM EDT when she moves into busy and communicative Gemini and squares bigger-is-better/let's-make-a-mountain-out-of-a-molehill Jupiter at 6:47PM EDT.

(keep in mind the Taurus Moon - and Uranus! - are answering to a VERY out-of-bounds Venus in Cancer, the Moon/Venus mutual reception can help tone Venus down, bring her back to herself, but once the Moon gets into Gemini, all bets are off and relationship challenges/disagreements could escalate as the energies move out of balance)

So, the Moon finishes up in Taurus - her favorite sign other than Cancer - with all good aspects. That sextile to Mars should help us take the edge off any uncomfortable antsiness with Mars at the very last degree of Cancer pushing us to hurry up and make something happen (always a bit of a dangerous way to go about doing things!).

Give yourself a little break during the void/attend to routine work and prepare to be even busier tonight and during the Moon's time in Gemini over the next couple days. Our attention shifts and scatters. Diverse communication and information comes in. Her square to Jupiter tonight could make something seem bigger (maybe better) than it actually is - keep this in mind.

Take a breath. Clear your head. We are still in the Eclipse spin cycle!

THURSDAY is the BIG Solar Eclipse New Moon in Gemini as a retrograde Mercury meets the Sun, BIG post next! Then Mars moves into Leo (YAY!) on FRIDAY waking up our Leo houses for the next six weeks - apply your energy THERE for best results. On SATURDAY Venus will square Chiron (great night to see Venus in the sky!) bringing our attention to challenging relationship, money and self-esteem issues that trigger old wounds. On SUNDAY, the Sun squares Neptune (reality check, delusion, a need for rest) and Venus sextiles Uranus - a tricky day we will unpack as we get a little closer, but at first glance following the Venus/Chiron this could be about trust issues. Us, trusting ourselves or other people. With the Sun/Neptune we might be being misled (or misleading ourselves). Most likely one partner/situation is needing more freedom/a new expression. That Venus sextile to Uranus following the square to Chiron tells us CHANGE is the way through this one. This will factor into the New Moon, so we will talk about it then, too!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Saturday, June 5th, 2021 - if the sh*t's going to hit the fan this will probably be the day, power plays, sharks in the water - swim at your own risk, get it done early, chill out tonight

The Moon continues her monthly journey through Aries. She sextiles a retrograde Mercury at 11:56AM EDT, squares a retrograde Pluto at 6:37PM EDT and goes void off a square to Mars ten minutes later. She will be void until 1:46AM when she moves into Taurus.

This is the problem day of the week when any sh*t that is going to hit the fan is most likely to hit the fan (note to self- unplug the fan and get those air conditioners in). Not everyone's chart will be impacted equally.

Mercury, at 23 degrees Gemini reaches his exact square to Neptune in Pisces. Mars, at 26 degrees Cancer, opposes Pluto in Capricorn. Mercury and Pluto are both retrograde. The Moon squares both Mars and Pluto. This just sounds like a mess.

Mercury/Neptune is the Gemini/Pisces we have been talking about. This is a repeating aspect from May 22nd (today is two of three). This is the Mercury retrograde meeting so we are doing the re's - re-view, re-vision, re-peat, etc. We are going back over the facts/what is real/what is not so real. Or we are pulling our head out of the details and giving ourselves a little break. Either is uncomfortable, brings tension/frustration. Squares to Neptune are draining/confusing. Check the fine print. Say it again. Be certain you are being understood (and you might still be misunderstood). Mercury rules transportation, so double check your directions/tires. This is an ongoing aspect we will continue to be dealing with for at least a couple more weeks. The facts/information/conversation is still in flux - keep this in mind. Do we even believe the things we think? Ask questions (Gemini is questions) but don't expect accurate answers ... just yet. Pencil in June 10th for some of that.

The Mars/Pluto is Cancer/Capricorn. This one is faster. One and done. Mars/Pluto is a war aspect, and no joke. Oppositions with Pluto often bring power struggles, manipulations, obsessions, confrontations. This might show up as home/private life vs career/authority/public life. Keep in mind, Mars in Cancer can get pretty passive-aggressive and Pluto in Cappy will just slap that stuff down. We want to be responding and not reacting now. We want to avoid dangerous situations. With the Moon in Aries we can all get a little selfish/self-focused and the Moon is squaring both Mars AND Pluto a couple hours after they square each other. Tonight everyone is going to need to chill out.

There is the opportunity, with the high ground, for real 'truth' here - this is kind of a 'gut check' aspect and with Mars/Neptune bringing the fog - this can be a way to maneuver. It's time to kind of under-think it. Pluto is retrograde, so this is old stuff, too. Situations will not be about what they look like they are about - old triggers can be activated. Other times we felt we had no control/faced hard endings or losses of power. So, how do we handle this now? Can we reach for a better/higher response? This aspect, amplified by the lunar squares to the brave Aries Moon - can give us courage/strength (also amp up any destructive/impulsive tendencies that have been tapped down) - we might need to keep a cool head.

Time spent in water will be good for the 'keep a cool head thing', just know there are sharks in these waters. Swim at your own risk.

Mercury/Neptune can help diffuse tense situations - try humor/keeping it light.

Things cool down late tonight (EDT) once the Moon gets into Taurus - the sign of her exaltation.

In the meantime, just do your best to manage these energies knowing what we have to work with. Drive safely. Take care with fire/knives/heavy machinery. It's Saturday. Get some exercise. Then late this afternoon/tonight, avoid confrontations, just chill out.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, June 4th, 2021 - walking our talk, brave baby steps, being up for what comes up

The Moon is in warrior/worrier Aries now. We are nourished/nurtured by time alone or spent with men, passion, anger, courage, moving our body, taking action. She will sextile a retrograde Saturn at 4:23PM EDT and then the Sun at 6:37PM EDT. Mars and Saturn are a powerful combination - good for stepping into responsibilities, group dynamics, dealing with authority, taking action on our goals, motivation and ambition.

(In April 2022, Mars and Saturn will meet at 22 degrees Aquarius, with Jupiter at 22 degrees Pisces and the Nodes at 22 degrees Taurus and Scorpio - the ramifications of that 'wiped out' 22 degrees Cappy from January 2020 - the king is dead/falling patriarchy/the ends justifying the means no longer - reverberating change across the zodiac- we will talk about that in a big picture post).

The Moon's sextile to the Sun is this month's Waning Sextile. Aries/Gemini at 14 degrees.

This is about walking our talk. Taking the first brave steps. Action with words. Being a good neighbor. With sextiles (unlike squares/oppositions/inconjuncts that can push our back against the wall and force action) situations are smooth/fall into place BUT we have to take some action/speak up or the opportunities they can initiate just flow on by us. If we only get things done through the pressure of squares life will seem to be harder than it actually is!

Keep in mind Aries is the first sign and gets antsy without something to do - so give the Moon something to do. The Gemini Sun wants to go here and there and talk to her and him - Aries is up for that, too.

Say YES to opportunities/what comes up today. DO something.

xo all

Heads up Mars (ruler of Aries) is headed toward his opposition with powerful Pluto - exact tomorrow, but in play now (and the Moon will be squaring both of them as we move through Saturday). Mercury's exact square to Neptune is tomorrow, too, so the day is rather treacherous. We talked about that HERE and I will get tomorrow's post up tonight with more. STAY FROSTY - avoid those dark alleys. Drive safely.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, June 3, 2021 - say it once more with authority, rewards and recognition for old work, feeling capable, lucky in love and money, the eclipse spin cycle continues

This week is very important - we are at the mid-point of Eclipse season - in the Eclipse spin cycle, as personal and collective timelines shift. So, I will report the aspects, but it is not really possible to see where things are heading in Eclipse season! Fate has a card or two to play. And the ruler of the North Node, our best way forward, (Mercury) is retrograde!

What is going on in your life?

The Moon is in Pisces - we are nourished/nurtured through spirituality, our imagination, art, music, escape, surrender, forgiveness, compassion, water, stepping beyond discernment/discrimination/judgement.

She will meet Neptune, square a retrograde Mercury and trine Mars, all before 7:10AM EDT, when she goes void off a trine to a retrograde Pluto. She will be void until 1:59PM EDT when she moves into Aries (encouraging us to get moving on new projects, maybe making us antsy with any hold-ups). From Aries, she will square Venus (in Cancer now) at 5:08PM EDT.

(interesting the Moon met Pisces ancient ruler Jupiter yesterday exactly square to the opening degree of this season's Eclipse window and today meets Pisces modern ruler Neptune at the closing degree of the Eclipse window - bringing us a little mini-Eclipse energetic in the middle of this week)

Add to today's lunar machinations all the goodies we talked about in the weekly HERE (Venus trine Jupiter and Sun trine Saturn) plus we have the Sun squaring Vesta, 13 degrees Gemini/Virgo as a retrograde Saturn inconjuncts Vesta from Aquarius and a retrograde Mercury in Gemini squares Pallas (Pisces/23 degrees).

The Sun is trining Saturn (brakes off) as Saturn is inconjunct (rock and a hard place) Vesta (the thing that is keeping us awake at night).

The Sun/Saturn speaks of information/ideas getting solidified. Discussions with authority/father, conversations around our goals should proceed smoothly. There could be rewards for old work. We are stepping into responsibilities/feeling able. Taking our life seriously. Our words strengthen our resolve.

At the same time Saturn is back in this inconjunct with Vesta (our sacred focus) in critical, but disciplined Virgo. This is a repeating aspect from March 20th (the spring equinox - this was the day first the Sun and then Venus moved into Aries and we kicked off the New Year). Collectively this looks like something about the new rules/responsibilities/group dynamics are not jelling with our Virgo day-to-day commitments/health/work. Keep in mind, as we try to work both sides of this, Aquarius is fixed air, highly mental and resourceful in intuiting hidden meanings and sometimes jumping to conclusions which Virgo is naturally hesitant to do. Virgo is mutable earth with a strong need to be very specific although despite Virgo's careful/cautious ability to be definitive, Virgo is, of course, not always right. And equally, despite Aqua's intelligence and ability to detach into the bigger picture, Aqua is not always right either (although they will think they are!). We very much NEED both points of view here - Saturn's re-thinking/re-structuring of what he is up to in Aquarius (old commitments, responsibilities, etc) and Vesta's laser focus on what is most important. Some give and take needed. Nobody totally wins, but nobody needs to totally lose either.

At the same time Saturn is inconjunct Vesta, the Sun is squaring Vesta. So, although Saturn and the Sun are in good aspect with each other - that smooth air trine Aquarius/Gemini - Vesta is odd man out.

Maybe that 'thing that is keeping us up at night' needs to cede some focus for other ideas/conversations/whatever is being restructured/our connection to the future. What else needs our attention? Or maybe the Vesta 'problem' is the thing that, back against the wall, allows the Saturn/Sun to do its work. Smooth trines are easy to miss - combine them with a frustrating square and an inconjunct and the smooth trine (the way through, the only open window) is probably not so miss-able.

To toss another monkey wrench into the mix (what's a mix without some monkeys after all), we also have a retrograde Mercury squaring Pallas. This is more of the Gemini/Pisces we have been dealing with and pulls in that uber-activated 23rd degree, so important late last year and earlier this year with so many New Moons. Whatever Mercury has us re-considering, re-viewing, re-vising is not in alignment with Pallas in Pisces' intuitive wisdom. This is a repeating aspect from May 20th, so getting another look. Where do we need more facts/details and less lalaland? Or where do we need more imagination/dreaming and less details? This square to Pallas in illusive/confusing Pisces can drain our mental energy/scatter our attention.

Today's better aspects (and there are plenty!) will certainly help. Sun/Saturn is very focusing, just keep in mind both Mercury and Saturn are retrograde, so this might be more about finishing up old work and commitments. Also keep in mind that void Moon until mid-afternoon EDT.

And, saving the best for last - the best news today is benevolent Venus's trine to benevolent Jupiter at 1 degrees Cancer/Pisces. This is lovely/loving. Beautiful. Compassionate. Expansive. Lucky. Feels like home. Reach out. Connect. I hope we can all feel this one!
