Olive Bites at Art Star Asbury Park July 2015

This past weekend's craft show has left me totally exhausted - maybe I really do need to be drinking all this wine! Ack!

I met so many wonderful people at this show. I had Kella and Chris's vintage camper "Lucy" - Suburban Camping Company with me and it brought so much joy to so many people (rent her here for parties, camping, overnight guests) plus people were very kind and excited about my work ... and the weather and city of Asbury Park (where my mother grew up) was looking especially amazing.

Back later this week with the upcoming forecast.

Oh my gosh Cat, you are such a genius I swear. I LOVE your display, you totally hit it out of the park woman. I'm so glad you had such a great time, and what fun to have that trailer! Seriously?! Genius. :)

omg. You are totally making me rethink my display. I have a 1962 Shasta trailer that would be perfect for this sort of set up even with an EZUP tent in front. And no hotel bill? Sweet. (I wish I could post a pic here - maybe link to flickr with this one. Let's see - https://www.flickr.com/photos/lynnbowes/sets/72157627008004256 )

Ack! It got so much attention I felt a little sorry for the sellers around me! Thanks so much Janell. Your Shasta is gorgeous Lynn! You should absolutely use it - so, let me get this straight- we are talking airplane, motorcycle, vintage trailer - is there any mode of transport you haven't owned - do you have a submarine somewhere .... your EZ up would totally work. I was worried about that canopy the 2nd day with the winds and I just brought my 2 backyard umbrellas. My EZ up is an EZ down at the moment. xo

You should never feel sorry for being the center of attention! I love vintage campers, sadly it will never be our life...lol. Hubs is to much of a city mouse, he requires plumbing. But it makes my heart swoon all the same.

I hear you Angie, my husband would go a little nuts in such a small space. He might be ok if it sat on 5 acres with a HUGE garage though. Everyone had to go in it and so many people had wonderful stories about a family camper or days camping or just wanted to ditch it all and hit the road. Life's so crazy we are all craving something simpler I think! xo

Oooooooo . . . submarine.
If only I didn't dislike open water so much.

This really is a sweet display and what an attention-getter for you. Never feel sorry for the other sellers. They have the same opportunities to flash and attract buyers as you do. Amiright?

hmmm ... I never thought of flashing the buyers Lynn ... that might send them running in the other direction though, maybe next time if my crowds get to be too much I'll try that to thin them out a bit :)

I guess that's a completely different kind of show.
But let me know how it goes.

We've been watching some of these tiny home shows lately, and some people are moving into floating houses (some are actual boats) which is another awesome idea, so fun to dream. :)

Shoot, I think google ate my comment AGAIN!

What a truly inspired idea Cat. I remember when you featured the company you got the trailer from for back yard camping.

I am glad you did well.

It worked out for them, too Kathy since it had a For Rent sign on it! I keep hearing about those tiny house shows Janell - I have to find them. Etsy just featured someone who works out of a shipping container - no mention of how she regulates the temp though.
