MONDAY - Mars into Capricorn
TUESDAY - Sun squares Saturn
THURSDAY - Venus trines Chiron and inconjuncts Jupiter
FRIDAY - Sun inconjunct Uranus, SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON
SATURDAY - Mercury squares the North Node, Sun squares Neptune
SUNDAY - Venus squares Saturn, Jupiter squares Chiron, Sun enters Capricorn
I AM LATE and have been so busy with work I feel like I have been gone a month :)
We can see from the aspect/transit list there is a lot happening this week and we can also see we have some of last week playing out again, but with different characters!
This week asks us to commit with maturity as we tolerate uncertainty. Sagittarius energy wants growth, truth and movement, BUT Saturn, Neptune, Uranus PLUS the Nodes keep interrupting with reminders that vision without structure collapses and structure without vision/meaning suffocates. By Sunday’s Solstice when the Sun moves into Capricorn, the tone shifts from seeking answers to building something real.
Cappy can be as nostalgic as Cancer and the holidays are coming, so we will all be feeling this one which is built of all the holidays that have preceded this one. Keep this in mind.
We have been dealing/healing with an ongoing Water Trine and Grand Water Trine. Saturn/Neptune in Pisces dissolving what we can no longer carry. Jupiter in Cancer connecting us to our emotional body/our home/our roots/our past. And then planets have been stepping into Scorpio and making the Water Trine a Grand Water Trine.
Digging up what has been buried/what is at the roots of all this stuff. If you are tired - this is why!
The water signs have been showing us the EMOTIONAL COST OF CARRYING THE STORY we are carrying. We are at the edge of the end of the world now folks, so what's it going to be? What is coming with us - and can we even get there if it does - and what isn't.
This is the last week of Sag season - let's not focus too much on what has gone wrong in the past. Let's keep our focus on what might still GO RIGHT.
Let's unpack the week!
MONDAY - Mars makes the first move and heads into Capricorn. Mars LOVES sober Cappy where his energy/ambition/leadership qualities can really shine. Mars is exalted here, and wherever our natal Mars is an exalted Mars now is helping him/us be more STRATEGIC, DISCIPLINED AND EFFECTIVE. Our actions should be more focused and purposeful. If you are serious - and you better be about something - show it.
TUESDAY - the Sun in Sag squares Saturn in Pisces. We talked about this last week with Mercury. There is a REALITY CHECK here. A limit. Saturn (the reality) is not so strong in Pisces, so even with the square here, things aren't really being made all that solid. Still, this can look something like - a "no", faith being tested by responsibility/boundaries, tension/frustration with reality/authority. This can be discouraging if resisted or clarifying if accepted. Saturn in Pisces asks whether our Sag vision/wisdom has spiritual integrity or just enthusiasm. Commitments/deadlines can feel heavier but also leave us knowing where we stand.
THURSDAY - Venus inconjuncts Jupiter and trines Chiron. The inconjunct to Jupiter retrograde in home/family/water/roots speaks of emotional re-calibration. Venus/Chiron can be about choosing authenticity over approval. If everybody likes us, then does anybody really know us? The inconjunct to Jupiter speaks of overdoing, over-giving, over-taking.
FRIDAY - this one will have its own post - A BIG NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS on the Galactic Center and inconjunct Jupiter. This one looks something like - we start (yes), because we only get three fire New Moons a year and we aren't going to miss one (!) BUT we stay adaptable. Expect a big post.
SATURDAY - Mercury reaches last week's crossroads, so WHAT HAVE WE DECIDED? Old conversations and stories clash with future directions. Tension/frustration. And with the Sun squaring Neptune - another repeat aspect from last week with a new character this week - there can be fog, mixed signals. Second guessing. Addictions/escapist tendencies want our attention. We can get sick. Things can get rained/snowed out. Neptune squares are EXHAUSTING, and this is our solar fire/energy being squared now. This is a KARMIC CROSSROADS like last week - listen for what is dissolving or not being said rather than what is loud ...
SUNDAY - Venus squares Saturn as Jupiter squares Chiron and the Sun enters Capricorn. OK, Venus/Saturn brings a relationship/financial/values REALITY CHECK. Yes, more reality checks - the season might look more Scrooge than Santa - but the Sun's change of signs indicates better days ahead. Better = more mature, solid, stable, goal-oriented, you get the idea. Relationships may feel tested by time, distance, or responsibility. Desire (Venus) runs into consequence (Saturn) and then the Jupiter/Chiron tries to hold things in check, makes it uncomfortable if we overdo something. Sometimes Venus/Saturn inspires situations that can make us feel old or alone. Always with Saturn WHAT IS SOLID WILL ENDURE AND WHAT IS HOLLOW WILL STRAIN US - keep this in mind. Jupiter/Chiron says that growth (or again that over-doing, over-pleasing, over-expecting, over-wanting) exposes old wounds. Sometimes very old wounds. Healing requires humility as the Sun goes into Cappy and not Sagittarius bravado.
Sag to Cappy takes us from, "what do I believe" to "what am I responsible for now?". The Winter Solstice - Sun into Cappy - is the longest night of the year and an energetic HINGE.
So, this week isn’t about having everything figured out. It won't be. It’s about showing up anyway, adjusting when necessary, and committing to what’s sustainable.
