WEDNESDAY - Mercury sextile Jupiter, Vesta enters Aries

THURSDAY - Sun conjunct Mercury

SATURDAY - Mars conjunct Chiron, NEW MOON IN TAURUS conjunct Ceres

SUNDAY - Venus sextile Chiron, Mercury enters Gemini and conjuncts Uranus

OK, let's jump right in and unpack the week!

This week looks like a bridge between what hurts, what nourishes and what suddenly changes. There is movement. Openings. Adjustments. A kind of rewiring happening through very ordinary moments and conversations.

WEDNESDAY - we start the week with Mercury, at the end of Taurus now (he/she can taste his home stomping ground of Gemini, so we might be feeling anticipation for something now, too!). He sextiles Jupiter, and the Moon is going to make this same move this week reinforcing this - this aspect is HELPFUL.

Information/ideas flow. Words are optimistic. Good news can come in. Keep in mind sextiles are soft aspects and require some efforting on our part.

Vesta moves into Aries as Mars in Aries is applying to his conjunction to Chiron.

ACTION IS HEALING. Vesta here is redirecting devotion and focus toward independence, initiative and self-definition. Maybe we become more protective of our time and energy. The sacred flame moves from keeping the peace to protecting the self. There can be less willingness to scatter our energy into obligations that no longer feel alive. Vesta is going to station retrograde in Aries in August, so this will be an especially LONG transit.

THURSDAY - the Sun catches up with Mercury. Here is a spotlight on words, a conversation, an idea. Something becomes visible. A decision crystallizes. We hear something important or say something that cannot be unsaid. Because this conjunction happens in Taurus, there is emphasis on practical reality/things that make sense/cents - our money, resources, security, the body, food, values, ownership and what is actually sustainable. Taurus is fixed Earth - it wants to know what can last.

SATURDAY - is the heart of the week - this month's NEW MOON, our annual New Moon in Taurus. The Moon is exactly conjunct Ceres (Mother Earth, certainly at least a co-ruler of Taurus in my eyes). Mars is exactly conjunct Chiron. Are we acting from a wounded space or a healed one? Or is the action we are taking healing a very old wound? Yes, I think that's it. Ceres pulls in season of life issues, the Earth, nourishment, food, mothering/nurturing. The New Moon in Taurus with Ceres is FERTILE earth, but also fixed earth. We are dealing with realities that cannot simply be rushed away with optimism or force. Something needs tending. Something needs patience. Something needs to root. Keep in mind the Mars/Chiron - healing is coming through action and honesty, not avoidance. People may react defensively or impulsively because something hurts - keep this in mnd, too. The Moon herself is at an awkward angle to both Venus and Mars, so there will be alot of ADJUSTING with this one. THE NEW MOON WILL HAVE ITS OWN POST NEXT.

The New Moon's final aspect is a conjunction with Mercury just before Mercury finally gets home to GEMINI. Luna (sitting with the Sun and Ceres) whispers her intention to fleet-footed, but also trickster Mercury, then Mercury leaps the gate into Gemini and broadcasts it to Uranus. Uh oh. Stay flexible.

SUNDAY - new beginnings seeded in Taurus may be immediately TURNED SIDEWAYS. Mercury/Uranus in Gemini - which we haven't had since the 1940's - can look like surprising announcements, technological disruptions, sudden decisions, shocking conversations, breakthroughs, breakups, breakdowns, nervous overstimulation/anxiety/excitement, transportation or communication issues, sibling/cousin or local community surprises, unexpected invitations or exits - the future arriving faster than expected. Things evolve quickly. Information changes things. A conversation changes things. A realization changes things. At the same time Venus in Gemini is sextiling Chiron so there are OPTIONS. Stay curious. The wound/the vulnerability is best approached lightly now. The pain doesn't always have to be a big deal. Beauty and love and women are healing.

At the end of the week, when Mercury enters Gemini and immediately collides with Uranus, it’s like finally arriving home after a long trip. We have been mentally unpacking, ready to settle in and move at our own speed again - only to discover a complete wildcard/wildcat sitting in our living room.

We thought we were returning to something known. Instead, the future is sitting on the couch waiting to introduce itself.

Back with that New Moon post next!
