MONDAY - Mercury enters Cancer
TUESDAY - Sun sextiles Saturn, Mars square Juno
WEDNESDAY - Mercury trines the North Node and then squares Neptune
THURSDAY - Mercury inconjunct Pluto
FRIDAY - Juno stations retrograde
MONDAY - the week begins with Mercury entering Cancer, so we start feeling what people are saying and our words become more emotional to them. Mercury in Cancer thinks with his/her heart. Memories can speak loudly as the past is pulled into present conversations and thinking. With Mercury in Cancer words come from the gut and are taken personally. They can be soothing or they can be painful. We will start talking about what we need and everyone else will be, too. We are less interested in gathering information and more interested in determining what something means to us. Because Mercury is going to station retrograde in Cancer at the end of June, themes arriving now are likely to return for review, revision and deeper understanding throughout the summer. Pay attention to the conversations, family matters, emotional realizations and intuitive nudges starting this week. We are probably not finished with them. Mercury will be in Cancer until early August.
With Mercury in Cancer we will need to step back now and then and ask ourselves - "am I feeling the actual situation or am I feeling my thinking about the situation?".
This is also the day when Mars in Taurus squares Juno, who is about to turn around in Aquarius. This looks like a relationship or contract disagreement. One person wants stability/security/to hold onto what they have and the other wants freedom/progress. Pallas in Aries is making a sextile to Juno at the same time, so maybe more independent action or courage is the way through. Juno is right where she will be at the end of the week when she stations retrograde, so it could be whatever happens here with the Mars square TENSION is part of her retrograde power-restructuring.
TUESDAY - the Gemini Sun sextiles Saturn in Aries. This is grounding energy. Gemini loves possibilities and Saturn wants commitment. Amid changing storylines and shifting information, Saturn helps us identify what is actually REAL/viable. The best use of this transit is to choose one thing, stick with it and do it well. Small and disciplined actions can move situations surprisingly far now. Practical planning can bring rewards. Keep in mind the sextile is a soft aspect that requires some effort on our part to get it going/activated.
WEDNESDAY - first, Mercury trines the North Node in Pisces. Helpful messages, meaningful conversations, intuitive insights and seemingly fated connections can arrive. Dreams can be more vivid. There is a sense that certain words matter. Information may appear exactly when we need it, so PAY ATTENTION. Then Mercury squares Neptune - who rules the North Node - so this might complicate things. Facts blur. Assumptions multiply. Signals become mixed. What felt obvious in the morning may seem less certain by evening. Mercury in Cancer already filters information through emotion, and Neptune can make it difficult to distinguish intuition from projection, wisdom from wishful thinking or truth from the story we want to be true. Keep this in mind.
Let's listen carefully this week AND let's also verify what we hear.
THURSDAY - Mercury inconjuncts Pluto in Aquarius. An adjustment is needed. A conversation may expose an uncomfortable truth or maybe a realization challenges a belief we've become attached to. Pluto asks us to look deeper, while Mercury in Cancer wants to protect what it needs to feel emotionally safe. The result can be a needed recalibration. So maybe the story changes because we learn something new. Or maybe the story changes because we're finally willing to see what was there all along. Either way we are likely to have to adjust to something.
FRIDAY - Juno stations retrograde in Aquarius. Juno is about commitment, agreements, partnerships, the promises we make to one another and the power we hold through our association with power and what we will do to keep hold of it. In Aquarius, maybe questions arise around freedom, individuality, equality and authenticity within relationships. We may revisit old agreements and ask whether they are still needed and working. Where have we been compromising too much? Where have we detached too much? What kinds of partnerships can honor both connection and independence? This retrograde invites reflection rather than immediate action and keep in mind we have Pluto backtracking in early Aquarius, too - we have talked about the Juno/Pluto piece of this year HERE and HERE.
Overall, this week feels less like a week of answers and more like a week of noticing.
Keep in mind the Moon is waning, so something may be winding down and the Full Moon story we talked about HERE is playing out to the tune of the truth being 'an inside job' and one last stab at healing our Aries masculine wounding.
Mercury's move into Cancer this week is a big deal and asks us to pay attention to the FEELINGS BENEATH THE WORDS. Conversations can revolve around home and family and security. Saturn offers stability. Neptune introduces uncertainty. Pluto reveals what is hidden. Juno begins a review of our commitments. With Mercury going to station retrograde and be in Cancer until early August, we know that not every story needs to be solved immediately.
Not every conversation needs to happen this week.
Some stories/some words will need to be felt first ...
xo all
