weekly astrology forecast | november 2nd to november 8th, 2026 - seeing the story differently isn't the same as being finished with it

I thought this would have to wait until tomorrow, but I'll use the extra hour to take a look at the week ahead since there are not alot of aspects.

WEDNESDAY - Venus sextiles Jupiter, Mercury conjuncts the Sun

SATURDAY - Mercury inconjunct Saturn

MONDAY - BIG FEELINGS, BIG EXPECTATIONS. The Moon is in Leo. She squares a retrograde Mercury in the early hours, then meets up with Mars and Jupiter and sextiles Venus retrograde. It's a big, generous, slightly overreaching day. Confidence is high, enthusiasm is contagious and everything might seem just a little more possible than it actually is. But that Mercury square in the small hours suggests words or plans may outrun the facts - keep this in mind. Enjoy the enthusiasm, but stay frosty/clear headed.

TUESDAY (ELECTION DAY) – EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. The polls open on the East Coast with a Void-of-Course Moon - is there any other kind on Election Day lately?! The Moon's square to Uranus is a mutable square, with a retrograde Mercury ruling the Moon and hanging out in the background. Expect jittery nerves, technological glitches, unexpected developments and plenty of twists and turns. Virgo wants things orderly and predictable and Uranus has other ideas (Uranus is always Trump in political situations, so there's that, too). With Mercury retrograde, I wouldn't be surprised if something previously thought settled needs another look. Mercury rules the Moon today/the people in mundane charts and is moving BACKWARD.

WEDNESDAY - THE HINGE DAY OF THE WEEK. The Moon sextiles the Sun and then Mercury overnight, making for a sorting-and-clarifying morning. Then comes the Sun/Mercury inferior conjunction (the cazimi we talked about HERE) at around 12 degrees Scorpio, the midpoint of the retrograde. This is a reset and seed point - something that has been resurfacing since Mercury turned retrograde may now be seen in a different light. Scorpio suggests something buried, withheld, overlooked or not yet fully understood. This isn't necessarily the final answer, but it can be an important moment of recognition. Sometimes we have to go back into the story to understand what was really happening. PAY ATTENTION to news, conversations, etc now. This is very tight on my Scorpio ascendent, and I am looking for health answers, fingers crossed for this one.

This is also the day Venus Retrograde, at about 24 degrees Libra (her home sign), sextiles Jupiter in Leo. This is a lovely counterpoint to the week's more complicated astrology. There is a revisited warmth here that feels like - reconciliations, old pleasures, someone returning or a reminder of something we once valued. Venus is still retrograde, so this may be less about something brand new and more about rediscovering something worth having/keeping/expanding. Abundance isn't always about acquiring something else, sometimes it's about recognizing what we already have.

With Mercury and the Sun meeting in Scorpio on the same day, there is an interesting opportunity for head and heart to find common ground. Just don't expect fireworks or take fireworks to be the be all/end all. This chapter isn't over yet. Venus still has to TURN AROUND.

THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY – DISSOLVE, CATALYZE, CONSTRAIN. The Moon moves into Libra and opposes Neptune then trines Pluto and Uranus within a couple of hours. This briefly completes a Grand Air Trine (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini), which can open up conversations, ideas and alternative ways of looking at things. The opposition to Neptune may initially blur the picture, but the subsequent trines to Pluto and Uranus can help us find a different perspective.

There is an opportunity to connect some dots here.

Then comes the Moon opposite Saturn in the early hours of Friday. That's a sobering reality check following the air-trine blue sky. Saturn brings us back to the practicalities, reminding us that an interesting idea and a workable plan are two different things.

SATURDAY - TIME TO RECALIBRATE. Mercury Retrograde, at around 8 degrees Scorpio, is inconjunct Saturn Retrograde in Aries. Both signs are Mars-ruled, so the two share a ruler/engine even though they can't quite see each other. There's an additional tension between looking backward to understand what happened and feeling pressured to move forward and take action. Quincunxes/inconjuncts are rocks-and-hard-places that say we need to ADJUST. Things aren't just the way we want them to be.

This is Mercury coming off his conversation with the Sun and running into this awkwardness with Saturn/reality, so it's a day for recalibrating a plan rather than launching one. There is almost surely a gap between what we now understand and what we're actually prepared/going to do about it. That's OK. Trust the timing. Authority/rules/limits can be annoying :) We may need to change how we approach something before we can move forward.

Meanwhile, the Moon moves through Libra, first sextiling Mars, then meeting Venus tetrograde and finally sextiling Jupiter. This is a much warmer, more sociable lunar sequence with opportunities for connection, generosity and a little enjoyment. Venus is particularly well-placed in Libra, and her reunion with the Moon is a pleasant change of pace!

The mood shifts again late Saturday night when Luna enters Scorpio and squares Pluto in Aquarius. The emotional temperature rises, and something that seemed relatively straightforward may reveal a deeper layer.

SUNDAY - BACK INTO THE STORY. The Scorpio Moon meets Mercury retrograde in the morning, SO THE MOON IS DOING WHAT THE SUN DID ON WEDNESDAY bringing us back to the week's central theme - looking beneath the surface/the cazimi look under the covers. Maybe here is where we are feeling it. Scorpio is not particularly interested in superficial answers. Something may be said, remembered or recognized that helps us understand what has been unfolding.

Keep in mind - we are still in the middle of the Mercury retrograde story. The cazimi may have offered a new perspective, but the process of working through what it means is not finished and will not be finished this week. We will start the following week with a New Moon in Scorpio, but the big story is most likely mid-month.

I keep promising the politics and now my feet are to the fire :) Back with that and then we are going to have to start looking at Mars in Leo with Jupiter and that South Node ... and actually since all that (exact mid-month) is happening on Trump and Vance's Ascendents we can tie that into the politics, too.

I hope something here is helpful.
