a grand fixed cross on easter, the predictable vs the unpredictable, disrupting the soil before the planting

Because of the holiday, I wasn't going to write about this again today, but then I thought maybe the holiday is exactly why I should.

This is an important day of this "crunch" period, I wrote about in the last post, as the Moon in Aquarius moves into a square with the Sun in Taurus. The Waning/Last Quarter Square of this lunar cycle which has been focused on "imbalances".

We are building toward next weekend's New Moon in Taurus and before we can finish up that Full Moon in Libra/imbalances and get to the New fertile Moon in Taurus we NEED this square. Tension between Taurus/the predictable and Aquarius/the unpredictable.

There is no way to know what happens when we mess with Taurus/fixed Earth/resources/values/money. And that is what is happening. The CHANGE that was coming is here. Think about your garden - NEW GROWTH always requires the disruption of the soil or even fresh earth.

These changes are bigger than we are.

What we do know - the North Node is in Pisces, so bigger hands than ours have the wheel. We are rolling with the changes. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and Uranus is in Taurus and answering to Venus. Venus is sitting with the North Node and Saturn - these changes, over the long haul, ARE THE BEST PATH FORWARD.

We want to be WORKING WITH THESE ENERGIES CONSCIOUSLY.

We can be empowered by challenges. We can FACE OUR FEARS, and, we can survive or we can be resurrected. Much is out of our hands, but we can choose our response.

We can use the Sun in Taurus (plus the Venus/Saturn) to set our boundaries, determine to appreciate what we already have, grow what we value. We can use Mars in Leo to follow our heart, stoke our natural spotlight, be generous. We can use Pluto/Luna in Aquarius to exercise the proper use of our power, not giving it away or destroying/manipulating with it. We can use Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio to accept ourselves deeply - understand we are entitled to life, intimacy and attachment.

Happening as the Mars/Pluto final face-off is building will likely make this Last Quarter Square a bigger deal than it would be otherwise. We end up with a T-Square to the Sun, and if we factor in Black Moon Lilith, and we certainly will - a Fixed Grand Cross where we are pulled in multiple directions at once.

These crosses have a 'trapped' quality to them.

So, the Sun is just getting the feel of hunkering down in Taurus. Wants stability/to keep what we already have. The Moon in Aquarius comes in asking what we are giving up having this "safety", says stuck doesn't mean safe. Pluto with the Moon, and this is an awkward Aqua Moon to start with, adds an intense "life and death" feel and power struggle (and keep in mind if you are the one with the "power" the more you exert it, the more pushback you will get, the more air you are giving to the Mars fire) and then fiery Mars in Leo, not able to 'grin and bear' this whole tightrope walk lights the whole thing up.

A fight/argument or impulsive action can come out of nowhere with this line-up.

With Mercury in Aries - words (and things like vehicles, so take your time) are weapons AND they also pull stale/stagnant situations forward. Mercury has just had his/her own dance from Pisces to Aries to Pisces to Aries and won't want to be silenced (of course this is where we get to use/practice what we have LEARNED). If this is a fight, it won't be a brand new one.

With Pluto involved the fear of death/FEAR OF BEING CONTROLLED/losing what we have can destroy whatever self-control we have going on. Mars in Leo wants attention/appreciation TO BE SEEN.

This is a powder keg because what we have been trying to stuff/control WILL NOT BE.

I don't think feelings should be stuffed here, but keep in mind an Aquarius Moon's feelings are not rooted in actual emotion, but something more like what we 'think' emotion is. Our thinking mind gets involved here and we are in this lunar cycle of what "isn't fair and balanced" and things can get wonky and seem more one-sided than they actually are.

The 4th leg of this thing is Black Moon Lilith in deep Scorpio. She is answering to modern ruler Pluto and ancient ruler Mars. In Scorpio, I would say, yes, we can be dealing with a dangerous woman/also dangerous to herself. BML here pulls in the energy of being uncomfortable with a need for intimacy and attachment and a need to STAY ALIVE (something we are all entitled to wanting and having). This intensity is not so comfortable for the Aqua Moon (although Pluto is sitting with the Moon, so who knows, but this is probably just going to make everything more intense), so even being around people who are passionately connected/attached can be painful and triggering. There is alot of painful 'outsider' energy here with both Black Moon Lilith and the Aqua Moon/Pluto involved that can lead to jealousy, possessiveness and manipulation and even in seeing this when it isn't really there.

The key to BML's wound is always self-acceptance. Scorpio is also highly tuned to what is happening underneath and so is BML (the wound womb), so we will all be HIGHLY SENSITIVE to our environment, and, then the Aqua Moon can either help us detach or just make everything messier by thinking what we are thinking is what we are feeling or what someone else is.

I don't know if I am making alot of sense here. We can see what is going on in the world and what is going on outside us is happening inside us, too. A Fixed Grand Cross on Easter Sunday with Pluto involved (death and rebirth) and the Venus/Saturn/North Node "miracle" trifecta in Pisces - is some of the most amazing astrology I have ever seen and I wanted to unpack it a bit more.

The Grand Fixed Cross is in play for a few days, but the Moon is only involved on Easter night.

The Moon can act as a trigger like Mars, so I would exercise a bit of caution and common sense all day. At around 9:00 EDT, Luna moves into Aquarius, sextiles Neptune, opposes Mars and then squares the Sun in the matter of about an hour. Whether trouble has already found us or something flares up quickly once the Moon gets involved and then releases or whether this floats right on by us depends on our chart and how we INTENTIONALLLY interact with the energies. Whether the impending Mars/Pluto - exact on the 26th but activated Easter Sunday and then again on the 23rd - leads to something less mendable remains to be seen.

Either way, forewarned is forearmed.

Some fights need to happen, but, obviously most do not, and this line-up can inflict alot of damage and some of this is in play for pretty much the rest of the month.

Again, we want to be consciously working with this energy. We have all been back and forth and back and forth and truly are more ready and capable than we think we are for whatever is going to show up over the rest of this month.

Prayer is uber powerful. As is rest and sleep. Keep in mind always the North Node in Pisces - have faith. Bigger hands than ours have the wheel.

Happy Easter everyone.

xo all - Cat :)

Keep in mind this time period as Mars makes his final opposition to Pluto with the Sun squaring Pluto is part of the 'rebuilding' process of the January 2020 Pluto, Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Ceres conjunction. Part of our collective resurrection into a new world - Age of Aquarius, that we will clearly see when the North Node gets into Aquarius next summer and will be well 'cemented' in by the spring of 2028 when the North Node leaves. We are going to cover alot of ground between now and then.
