weekly astrology forecast for creatives | April 11th to april 17th, 2022 - a need to dial down the noise, from mountains to miracles

This year's BIG aspect perfects this week - the miraculous meeting of Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces for the first time since 1856.

Coming on the heels of last week's pressure-cooker Mars/Saturn and with daddy-Saturn squaring the Nodes of Fate this week, the fear/foreboding/reality checks are coming at us so fast and so furious, it's almost as if forces are hard at work to keep our attention over here while the miracle-making elixir is being handed out over there.

And, of course, this makes sense in a free-will system always seeking balance, but also means -

WE ARE GOING TO NEED TO DIAL DOWN THE NOISE/DISTRACTIONS THIS WEEK.

We are beyond the limits of time and space here, bending reality, going where no man/no woman has gone before (well, at least not since 1856) - let's not waste this entire week doing our taxes. Of course, taxes will be done, yada, yada, but if our focus is ONLY on the mountains/obstacles we might miss the first gentle stirrings of the MIRACULOUS NEW BEGINNING the Jupiter/Neptune is ushering in.

Although this conjunction MIGHT best be appreciated in hindsight (over the next 12 years), it will be our inspirations/dreams/optimism now that create that heavenly view from our rear-view mirror later - keep this in mind.

Allow time this week for inspiration, prayer/meditation, music, art, compassion, visioning, healing, nostalgia.

Let's unpack the week!

The BIG astrology this week includes our annual Libra Full Moon and, of course, this year's, once in our lifetime, Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces - a new story kicks off in our Pisces house with UNLIMITED POTENTIAL. There are also quite a few inconjuncts and semi-squares, so just know there will be some inconveniences. We will need to be flexible, able to adapt/adjust, see some things coming before we can actually see them coming and even then things will probably not be exactly what we are wanting.

That's OK. Life is a process and we are somehow miraculously right on schedule and exactly where we should be.

All of us. Together.

MONDAY - Saturn squares the Nodes of Fate

TUESDAY - Jupiter conjuncts Neptune, Sun sextiles Saturn

THURSDAY - Mars enters Pisces

SATURDAY - Full Moon in Libra

SUNDAY - Mercury, at 28 degrees Aries (damn he is flying!) squares Pluto in Capricorn. I am repeating last week's closing aspect in this week's posting, since it might just bleed into the beginning of the work week. Tension/frustration. Secrets come out. Arguments can come out of nowhere with this one. Information can be scary/feel like 'life and death'. This might also speak of power struggles/manipulations/merged financial stresses and complicated third party situations. Our focus narrows.

Later this same day, Mercury moves into Taurus, so our words/conversations may turn to our personal finances, resources, stability. We are thinking about and talking about what really matters/what we value/what we need. Communication, the flow of information can slow down and become about more practical things. This is fixed earth, so people can become more stubborn/less inclined to change their mind for the next few weeks.

Note - Mercury's move into Taurus quickly follows the tension of that Pluto square - this can be an abrupt change of conversation/focus. Take care of yourself, focus on what really matters, let the rest go.

MONDAY - Saturn, at 22 degrees Aquarius squares the North and South Nodes of Fate, Leo Moon trines the Aries Sun at 22 degrees

Saturn square the Nodes (more 22 degrees!) is a crossroads/decision point. Saturn squares are reality checks, best dealt with using a grown-up voice and big-girl/boy pants. We might feel stuck/limited/challenged by authority. Keep in mind, Saturn requires hard work and patience. The way through this - besides hitching our wagon to the Taurus North Node  (SOMETHING MORE SIMPLE/PRACTICAL and less complicated/obsessive/dramatic) is that Lunar Waxing Trine - being brave/confident, following our heart, standing out by standing up and stepping into our responsibilities.

The Moon's trine to the Sun is this month's Waxing Trine on our way to this week's BIG Full Moon in Libra. This is about following our heart/allowing ourselves to shine. The Sun in Aries is conjunct Pallas, here is wisdom, winning strategies, direct action. Leo/Aries is brave/firey energy. Happening at master number 22 degrees as Saturn in Aquarius squares the Nodes really powers this one up. Something independent and individualistic is falling into place - take action and focus on personal goals and ambitions. Keep in mind that Saturn square, although we likely won't be able to miss it.

TUESDAY - Jupiter, at 23 degrees Pisces conjuncts Neptune, the Sun, at 23 degrees Aries sextiles Saturn

The modern and ancient rulers of Pisces meet for the first time since 1856 in the sign to start a new 12 year and 166 year cycle (yes, your dreams/inspirations now will be impacting your grandchildren!). Neptune dissolves boundaries and Jupiter expands whatever it touches, so this is UNLIMITED POTENTIAL. Magic. A mystical start. Healing. Having faith in our dreams. Reaching beyond our material circumstances. Jupiter brings luck, good fortune, expansion, optimism, confidence and GROWTH. Neptune is the power of our imagination, our intuition, our collective consciousness. The natural ruler of our 12th house/last house, Neptune is about everything that is behind us. What we can't see, what we've already done including our ancestral/past life inheritance, for reward or challenge. Things can also get all blown out of proportion with this aspect - anything that seems too good to be true or totally insurmountable would apply here. Keep an eye on what is expanding for addictive/escapist/overly idealistic clap-trap. Expect a BIG post

On the same day, the Sun moves into an opportunistic/creative, future-focused sextile to serious Saturn, also at 23 degrees (the degree of all those New Moons last year interacting with Eris in Aries). Bringing fire/air and stability/sobriety, this is the perfect follow-up aspect to the Jupiter/Neptune and happens within hours! A little bit of effort/fire goes a long way with this aspect - take action and things will fall in line. This speaks of a new goal, new course of action supported through structure/limits/authority/maybe groups. Saturn requests a serious attitude, some elbow grease and patience. Aries/Aqua speaks of individuality/independence - the new/the future.

THURSDAY - Mars enters Pisces  - at 11:05PM EDT, Mars joins the Pisces party. Mars hasn't been in Pisces in two years and should help energize our dreamy Pisces house!

With all this Pisces we are going to need to rest when we can rest. Mars is kind of drifty in Pisces so we need to watch for self-sabotaging actions - drifting off purpose, losing our boundaries, escaping with another glass of wine or another Netflix marathon, taking action based on what we are seeing through our rose-colored glasses. We will muster whatever reserves we have to stay on top of things AND we are going to prioritize rest and escape somehow, too. Mars in Pisces is a good time to put energy into old things/what we have previously overlooked/not seen.

Keep in mind we are NOT going to be able to just push things through/do business as usual because Mars in Pisces can't push. It will be like pushing jello up a hill - nice for the guy behind us who isn't pushing and gets a delicious strawberry dessert tossed at him that he didn't have to work for - but not so nice for us; the ones doing all that PUSHING. On the other hand Mars in Pisces is excellent energy to go within, to meditate, to make art, to heal, to work with our intuition, to work with our dreams - this is the energy of the spiritual warrior, and if worked properly ie intuitively and creatively, having this active energy joining Venus and Jupiter and Neptune in miraculous Pisces is a wonderful gift for all of us at this time.

SATURDAY - Full Moon in Libra at 26 degrees

An important Full Moon focused on our relationships, fairness, balance, peace. T-Squaring Pluto in Cappy and Eris in Aries - speaks of intensity/tension/situations that feel like 'life and death', powerful endings. Secrets/what has been repressed/unconscious can come out to be SEEN. The good news with this one, Libra's ruler Venus exalted in Pisces and sextiling Mercury/Uranus. Expect the unexpected. Expect a BIG post!

Hope something here is helpful - back with the Jupiter/Neptune post that I have been procrastinating the hell out of  - which sort of makes sense now that think of it, plus I have a natal Jupiter/Neptune trine impacted now, really fighting the tides to sit down and write :)

today's astrology forecast | Friday, April 8th, 2022 - fresh words, new ideas and brave conversations help seal the deal, expanding on that new thing, nurtured by home and family

Quietude VI

The Moon is home in Cancer now - we are nurtured/nourished by home, family, real estate, mom and apple pie. Her only aspect comes at 2:27PM EDT when she sextiles (opportunity) Uranus in Taurus - change is good.

This is also the day Mercury, at 25 degrees Aries sextiles Mars and Juno (who have their exact conjunction on Saturday). Mercury in Aries speaks of passionate, maybe courageous language/fresh conversations/new news regarding relationships/contracts. The sextile is opportunistic so the conversations/information is moving things FORWARD/encouraging productive action.

At the same time Jupiter in Pisces, on his way to his historic meeting with Neptune next week, is sextiling the North Node and trining the South Node. It will be easy/comfortable to stay stuck in the same old drama/obsessive intensities/third party situations, but much more OPPORTUNISTIC - that sextile to the North Node of our best path forward - to choose something NEW, more simple, solid, practical and stabilizing. Either way Jupiter gets lucky through stretching outside our comfort zone/faith/optimism. The North Node is in Taurus. What makes the most sense/cents here?

The fly in our ointment today is Vesta's square with Uranus in Taurus from 13 degrees Aquarius. This is tension/frustration, something that may unexpectedly disrupt our focus/what is keeping us up at night and bring our attention to something else - maybe a financial/relationship/resource situation. With the Cancer Moon making a smooth sextile to Uranus, we might benefit from more attention to the home/family/our personal self-care/our emotional well-being/the here-and-now rather than the future/the group/the impersonal big picture. Whatever this is, something NEW is brought to our attention/maybe added to our plate.

Hope something here is helpful today!

Back with the Jupiter/Neptune post this weekend!

today's astrology forecast | Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 - stay flexible, communicate, split one big or complicated thing into two smaller things, here's more choices

The Moon is in versatile/communicative Gemini now. We are nourished/nurtured through conversation, information, having lots of irons in the fire/balls in the air. We might be focused on writing/reading/learning, children's school issues, sibling/local community/transportation situations.

The Moon is uber busy today, we probably will be, too. She sextiles the Sun at 8:31AM EDT, sextiles Mercury at 5:56PM EDT, trines Saturn at 8:25PM EDT, squares Jupiter at 8:41M EDT, squares Neptune at 10:53PM EDT and finally goes void at 11:14PM EDT off a trine to Mars.

Whew! Not sure if I've seen this many lunar aspects in a day before - how appropriate for multi-tasking Gemini.

The sextile to the Sun is this month's waxing sextiles - Aries/Gemini at 16 degrees. This is an excellent energetic portal - we take the Aries vibrancy/ambition/courage/need for action and, through that Gemini Moon get an opportunity to bring our New Moon story forward.

The best use of today's opportunistic sextile - communicate, ask questions, keep your mind open, try new ideas, split one thing into two separate things, give people/yourself more choices, add humor/lighten things up.

We will all need some mental stimulation. The rest of the day's energies will all fall in line around this. Notice how the Moon steps into the Mars/Saturn challenges and through the versatile energies of Gemini - pulls in some fresh choices/words/ideas, lightens things up. Stay flexible.

The squares in the P.M. (EDT) might make us prone to making a mountain out of a molehill/taking on too much or just drifting off course - here is where you give yourself a break. That final trine to Mars, Aries ruler and so ruler of this lunation, is a very good sign what we started under this Gemini Moon will have some wind at its back, maybe particularly Aquarian fueled situations - friends, groups, goals, tech, and anything where we are stepping into our individuality/responsibility.

Notice on Wednesday night (check your time zone), when the Moon in Gemini squares Jupiter and then Neptune - how you are feeling, what might feel stuck/clogged, if something feels overwhelming - because, this is where next week, Jupiter is going to meet Neptune and a tidal wave is going to move through all of us. We could get a cosmic heads up, maybe via tension/frustration, that gives us some information about that.

Note - the weekly forecast is in the April monthly part I HERE

Today's astrology forecast | Monday, April 4th, 2022 - do we want to fight or do we want to succeed, thanking the stars in the sky and the ones in california

On Monday, the Moon is in Taurus, the sign of her exaltation. We are nourished/nurtured by what is simple/soothing/comfortable - a warm bed, a soft touch, good food, security, time spent in nature, time spent with what/who we value/love, all the good stuff money can buy and all the good stuff money can't.

The Moon's aspects are all over the place, so emotionally we could be, too.

With Mars perfecting his conjunction with Saturn TODAY, disagreements/entanglements/"no's" could seem to come out of nowhere. We've been talking about this energy for over a week. It's already in play, but exact now.

Do we want to fight - maybe win/maybe lose - or do we want to SUCCEED?

There is a difference between winning and being successful. And Mars beating Saturn in Aquarius, well, I'm not going to say, "this is impossible", well, yes, maybe I am, it's not going to happen. THE COOL HEAD SUCCEEDS. The one who can work WITH authority/rules and not against them succeeds. The fast, the passionate, the impulsive, the angry, the first, even the RIGHT (because 'right' is a subjective/personal thing almost always) - isn't who gets the brass ring.

The brass ring goes to whoever is already holding it.

Take responsibility for your actions, don't pass any bucks, because yes, we will be held accountable if we are not wearing our big girl pants or for prior times we left them at home in the laundry.

Be prepared. Get there early. The Moon will sextile Neptune at some point, but don't get all Pisces lazy. We have to do what we have to do now. I know I sound like a Nike commercial, but Nike was the daughter of Pallas (likely the wise co-ruler of Aquarius where all this is going down) and the Goddess of VICTORY.

If we are - Mars in Aquarius - fighting for a group/cause/liberation - we need to work within the rules of engagement. We can use the Moon/Neptune to make dreams/visions more practical or more compassionate. In a couple days the Moon will be in Gemini and more choices will present themselves. There is a way to stay true to yourself/your beliefs and not fail. Find it. When Mars meets Saturn, the important thing for Mars is to live to fight another day.

The humbling, the wound, yes, the narcissistic wound, which we all think someone else has and we don't (WE ALL DO), is where the light gets in, keep this in mind.

So, please don't screw this week up, OK

(and if we've already lived this and we've screwed this up, then we will face the consequences of that screwing up by standing on our feet, by doing better next time - this is a long game we are playing people, the battle is not the war).

We saw how this can all go down at last week's Oscars. Like every movie we've ever been to - we got a PREVIEW.

We had a teachable moment/a life lesson. Let's use it to our benefit. NO snide comments. Snide comments have started wars folks. NO passive aggressive eye rolls designed (even unconsciously) to light someone else's fire. NO, running off half-cocked, and destroying IN AN INSTANT what we have been building for a very long time.

Just do the work/do your job/take responsibility for your prior actions. This is Aquarius - DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY.

Keep in mind, Mars and Saturn are together - we are all really wanting the same thing anyway.

We also have Venus (in Aquarius) trining (brakes off) Black Moon Lilith today.

This might be a way through the Mars/Saturn, but feels dangerous to me, too, because BML, especially at the end of Gemini, is tricky stuff. But, since Venus rules the North Node (our best path forward) let's unpack this trine a little.

Venus is in Aquarius, has been in a Saturn sign/under his thumb since NOVEMBER, and is heading into Pisces, the sign of her exaltation, and joining Jupiter and Neptune in just DAYS. In Aquarius, Venus is attracting/is attracted to - the future, the new, the unusual. BML in Gemini is all about controversial female energy expressed through new choices/multiple outlets at the same time. These energies create an open portal/smooth trine. Fighting 'the man' - Mars/Saturn - isn't going to work. But Venus/BML pulls in unconventional allies, smart women, an ability to access energy that can keep things light/friendly/humorous (Gemini), that can take the edge off things/dial things down to a productive level. Allow new choices. Allow unusual things to be attractive. Since both Venus and BML are nearing the ends of their respective signs - there can be a kind of 'hail mary' play, THAT WORKS.

Think about Chris Rock post-slap.

Right back to business, but also keeping things light "well, this is the best night of television ever".

Such rich astrology to be part of people.

Thank the stars - the ones in the sky and the ones in California - for that.
