more summer of 2025 astrology | red flags and shark jumping all over the place plus also opportunities let's not forget those - what's meant for us might loop back with greater clarity or new terms, stay flexible

Hopefully anyone interested found this week's forecast added to the monthly HERE last weekend. I thought I would write more other stuff without making the weekly an entire post, but it hasn't been working out quite as I expected ... yet :)

Maybe ten years ago, I read that scientists were close to proving we are living in a hologram - that we are holograms. I have no idea how this "proving" thing is going. It gave me a really sick feeling. The techie geeks saying this were so damn happy and now some people say this as if they are saying, "it's Tuesday". Like it's nothing important one way or the other. We were sacred beings with souls and consciousness and now we are expected to accept that, well, "maybe, we are a hologram ...whatever." My thinking back then was something like, "I really don't want this to be true." My visceral response made me think that maybe it was. It scared the hell out of me.

The problem with science is that it starts with the thinking that life is based on a random series of events, grows through whatever works and runs like an uncaring machine. Not a horrible notion maybe (although it sounds rather horrible to me) AS A JUMPING OFF POINT for what life is, but almost certainly we could all agree it is not JUST this.

Birth charts might be said to show our Sun sign is who we actually are, and our rising sign is our avatar, the role we are playing. Maybe this is where the hologram comes in. Or our soul/our higher self is in one place, and we are its ambassador here in this place. Almost certainly AI will figure this whole thing out OR people will think that it has and that will be a whole other can of worms that gets opened ... but not today, Sam Altman.

So, what is happening while we are still real flesh and blood people living real flesh and blood lives? Let's see. It's summer, I hope everyone is enjoying it. We only get so many and want to make them count.

We might think of this summer as a kind of 'prep phase' or dress rehearsal.

Without knowing what we are prepping for. Gather what shows up that is worth keeping. How will we know what this is? We will know. Strive for graceful endings/exits. There will be more in 2025, so don't be an assh*le. Let's treat others with kindness and grace. With Saturn retrograde, full steam ahead style pushing with goals and ambitions will not work as well as working with what we already have on our plate and eliminating weaknesses, and with the South Node in Virgo - unwelcome habits.

There are multiple retrograde planets right now including one inner planet. We have one eye looking backward - multiple planets returning to Pisces for better endings/for us to fully grieve the exits/one last chance to bring our compassion and faith WITH US into the brave new world (which we are all hoping is not like the book) - and we have one eye on the road ahead. A road that isn't clear, straight or probably even BUILT AT THIS POINT.

The world as we knew it ended when Saturn met Pluto (and Mercury and the Sun) in January 2020 in Capricorn - the structures that were no longer grounded - and wait Ceres was there too to remind us of who holds the foundation (!) and then temporarily our world started up again at the end of that same year as Saturn caught up with Jupiter at 0 degrees Aquarius - AIR, which always reminds us how quickly things can shift in case we have forgotten.

Five years later we are hoping it is about time to be re-born because we know we CAN'T STAY HERE. Maybe this is why it has been so hot this summer. Life is TURNING UP THE HEAT, quickening both the blooming and the rot. I feel like I wake up in the morning and ten minutes later it is time to go to bed.

Maybe this space is too small for us now, everything and everyone on the planet crowded into a box of plastic in the palm of our hand and into our cramped and weary identity-manipulated, latent-mental-illness ready to flower if just 'ONE MORE THING happens' brains.

Cue exploding head emoji.

When you get a breather/need a breather - take one.

(people are asking me if August and September will be easier than July and I can't say they look to be, so again take breaks as needed)

People report things feeling off probably because things ARE off. Some of us have felt like this for a LONG TIME

We can all see technology is playing a huge role in this 'feeling off' thing. Our choices are being curated more and more by man-made algorithms - and because they mimic the way life actually works (via energetic frequencies where like attracts like) these algorithms work very, very well and are very, very dangerous.

Because they aren't just showing us what we want but they are actually building what we are and what we become. This is some scary sh*t.

Maybe it is my Mercury in Capricorn speaking (at 21 degrees, wiped out back in 2020), but we have to be VERY cautious.

Is AI waking up or are we going to sleep? Are robots becoming people or are people becoming robots? It can be good to forget some of what we know in our bones ... but not everything. We need to keep it together.

Collectively, with Uranus back in Gemini for the first time since the 1940's, the World War II order of things is COMING UNDONE. For almost everyone alive right now that means what we have known our whole lives. The systems/structures/assumptions we've been taught to count on are no longer reliable. This sounds scary but maybe only if we take too big a bite at once, so let's not do that. We have to know our limits with this stuff.

Our natal Gemini houses are built to shift and change. This is mutable air, so about ideas, words, pathways and networks. Once we get used to Uranus here, this energy will feel lighter and more dynamic than his heavy, grinding days in Taurus since 2011. It can be jarring and glitchy in Gemini at first, but full of possibility once it’s working and we get used to it.

He will be back in Taurus though starting in early November (he starts backing up in late August). So, the changes will change, too. Stay open and curious. Flexibility is our superpower. The answers we think we need may not even exist yet because the most important questions haven’t even been thought of. Uranus in Gemini can be jumpy, but don’t jump to conclusions. Play with ideas. Listen more closely. We will have to allow contradictions and questions to live with us for a while without trying to fix everything.

We are not done with the earth-bound lessons of Taurus ie money, food, bodies, resources, Mother Earth, but we are beginning to think differently about them now. Expect some reversals, re-evaluations, and echoes of past disruptions/chaos and even trauma asking for closure.

I think Uranus in Gemini will be easier than Uranus in Taurus, but there will still be challenges. The stimulation of our nervous system by artificial inputs is only going to be faster and more erratic. Our brains were not intended to carry this amount of superficial information and without deep, undistracted focus neuroscientists tell us our brains can't transfer short term experiences into long term memory - so much right now is literally being written in DISAPPEARING INK.

Note to self - read a book. Any book.

With Uranus in Gemini - THE STORY CHANGES.

One immediate collective 'change of story' was the Whitehouse's denial of even the existence of the 'Epstein files' within hours of Uranus's first entry into Gemini (this also tells us this story isn't going to go away anytime soon because Uranus is going to go back and forth over this degree). Jeffrey Epstein's birth chart is lit up like a Christmas tree. So is his death chart which I am going to relook at from my older and wiser perspective here in 2025. We will look at any connections to the U.S., Israel and Trump. My original post on Epstein and his death is HERE.

Saturn and Neptune are right on top of each other at the very beginning of Aries - the beginning of the beginning. Both are retrograde. Dissolving reality. Strengthening unreality. They almost met last week, but their meeting is just TOO BIG.

They got cold feet. We might have, too, with something.

They turned around and, so, we will be back here next February. And I don't say this to mean, "February will be when we know what is going to happen". "What is going to happen" is already happening. Yes, February will move the story along BIGLY, but we are already in the chapter and the story is moving along now, too.

Mars is about to catch up with the South Node. This is a very big deal, especially if you have anything near 17-19 degrees Virgo or the other mutable signs. 19 Pisces (getting the Mars opposition and the North Node conjunction) is Israel's natal Juno - the power we get through something/someone else and the things, that are not always pretty, that we will do to keep that power. Transiting Juno is on their natal Chiron/South Node (old wound) and opposing their Sun (identity). The North Node is exact on Gaza's natal traumatic/chaotic Uranus.

Mars is a TRIGGER and the South Node is about old karmic accumulations. This energy can be dangerous because people are walking around carrying landmines and grenades they don't know they are carrying in their pockets like useless pennies.

Collectively Mars on the South Node in Virgo is about the cutting away of perfectionist tendencies (sometimes because the stuff we are trying to not go wrong goes wrong and we have to kind of toss up our hands a bit) and the procrastination and  OVER-THINKING that is a by-product of this perfectionist crap that keeps us stuck, old anger at being a servant, old anger about needing to be perfect, health issues with old roots most likely connected to poor daily habits, job loss, pet situations.

Mercury has just stationed retrograde in Leo, pulling our focus inward and backward. Toward matters of the heart, our identity/ego, and the way we express ourselves. With Leo energy involved, we’re being asked to re-evaluate how we shine, how we speak our truth, and whether our current path reflects what really lights us up inside/how we do our SUN.

Remember last fall and winter’s Mars retrograde in Cancer and Leo? Mars brought the war (and the king) home, figuratively and literally. Issues of protection, belonging, and pride are/were stirred up. We had to defend our emotional terrain. Now, Mercury’s retrograde through Leo asks us to talk about it, to think differently about what happened. Maybe it's less about the fight now - although with multiple planets in Aries there will still be fighting - and more about understanding what the fight is really about.

This retrograde might bring back people, passions, or projects from the past. They may or may not be sticky. They can offer reminisces, re-ignition, or a better ending. There’s something about second chances here, or even third ones. This is classic Mercury retrograde territory: re-visiting, re-viewing, re-thinking. Don't be surprised if old flames or former creative callings show up again, sometimes maybe just to remind us of who we are/who we were (a good thing with our dissolving memories).

Mercury stationed in a supportive sextile to Venus, who is currently in Gemini. Venus, the planet of love, connection, and values, is answering to Mercury, strengthening Mercury retrograde’s themes of relational re-alignment and heart-centered thinking. Conversations during this transit may start light but carry unexpected depth and IMPORTANCE. A flirtation could turn serious, or a passing idea could blossom into a passion project. Stay curious, but remember, with Gemini, which can be kind of all over the place, and retrograde energy, not everything is solid yet. The information we receive now could change shape later.

Mercury retrograde in Leo also asks us to rethink bold statements, dramatic gestures, and how we perform or present ourselves. Are we showing up in a way that aligns with who we really are or are we stuck in performance mode? Are we hiding out in the audience when we need to take our role on the stage? The role that sits empty when we eat popcorn in the back row.

With Mercury retrograde in Leo this can be a time to edit the script. Re-hearse the lines. Change the costume. Or maybe re-write the entire story.

Expect the usual retrograde hiccups - tech glitches, delays, crossed wires, repeating conversations, misunderstandings, do-overs, etc. But also expect magic in the echoes and reruns. Look for it. What’s meant for us now, that was out-of-time before, might loop back around with new clarity or new terms. This retrograde runs until August 11th. We can use this time to recalibrate our voice, our message, and the way we use your light. We don’t have to dim ourselves, but we may need to refine how we shine/show up.

I hope something here is helpful. I kind of combined two posts I had previously started and not finished into this one, so it might be a bit all over the place.

At least it's up :)

did you say your natal Mercury is at 21 Cap? conjunct my natal Venus

Yes. Attracted to each other's words :D I printed your novella draft for my beach day. I could see that it was going to challenge me and I was going to need to pay attention :) Beach day got postponed, but is a sure thing this week, so looking forward to it. Will check video - thanks. 21 Cappy has a backstory of being 'next to power'. If your Venus is 21 Cappy I would wonder where your Saturn is.

Saturn at 2 Libra (mutual reception to that Venus)  Why do you ask?
