On Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at 4:37PM EST the Moon reaches 18 degrees Capricorn, opposes the Cancer Sun and gives us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in sober-as-a-heart-attack Capricorn.
The Full Moon itself is peak energy, something comes to light or to a conclusion. In Capricorn, this is about authority, our career, our goals, our reputation, our Cappy house theme, our father/paternal line. The Full Moon is the Moon's final aspect in Capricorn, so the Moon opposes the Sun and then goes void/goes offline/needs a break.
Let's unpack the chart!
The Moon reaches 18 degrees Capricorn and opposes the Cancer Sun. The Moon widely trines Mars - separating and squares Saturn and Neptune - also separating. The Moon opposes Jupiter in Cancer - separating. The Moon sextiles the North Node in Pisces - applying, and the Sun trines. The Full Moon squares Ceres in Aries - separating. The ruler of the lunation, Saturn, is in Aries, strong at station and tightly conjunct Neptune and asteroid Borasisi.
The Moon in Cappy has already squared Saturn and Neptune in Aries.
Capricorn is sober/serious energy and the squares - bringing tension and frustration - are designed to push/pull us into emotional MATURITY via obligations and responsibilities we are not ready for. This is our reality now, but we can't expect ourselves to be perfect/have all our ducks in a row. Reality checks now might require sacrifices, might exhaust us, might require us to fight/stand up for our dreams or ideals.
The Moon has opposed Jupiter in Cancer. Some kind of over-blown or imbalanced home/family/security issue has been pulled into the open or an issue of family vs work/career, private vs public life, mom vs dad, etc.
The Moon's square to Ceres speaks of the nurturance of ourselves at odds somehow with the nurturance of our public life, our career, our goals, our reputation, our father. Ceres speaks of life's natural cycles - what we give birth to, what we nurture, what we must let go of. Situations timed to life's natural cycles are part of the Full Moon's story. Ceres in Aries is raw/primal. Can be messy and require courage. Ceres is retrograde, so this is part of a longer process, but Aries is cardinal fire, so the relationship between us and what we are nurturing is fast moving, instinctual, might be short-lived.
Being about Cancer (home, family) and Capricorn (work, responsibilities in the world, father wounds) or our own needs and the needs of other people - any imbalances here will probably show up now for us to see what is happening and to allow us to re-align what isn't working - as Saturn stations retrograde and starts to reverse course over the next days, weeks and months.
Imbalances with authority and authority figures and the way we use and misuse our own authority/responsibility can also be highlighted as well as career and reputation RESULTS.
The Capricorn Full Moon throws a light on what power can do and also on the finality of the choices we've already made.
This Moon pulls us back to the Capricorn New Moon at the end of December that we talked about HERE and the work and ambitions we set into motion then (ie New Year's resolutions) - so, how is that working for us? What has reached its peak? What is ending? What needs those re-adjustments and re-alignments as Saturn goes retrograde at the end of this week?
Both Cancer and Capricorn are concerned with issues of SECURITY. Both value TIME and are guardians of the legacy of our ancestors.

must be the Uranus in Gemini trine my Moon, along with Jupiter conjunct my Uranus -- out of nowhere, today, while playing old memories (a normal activity), I felt/realized: I am amazing!
Not the kind of reaction I believe I have ever had to these memories, and it
expanded to: I have always been, and am, amazing
