Uranus, the final outer planet to change signs in 2025, moved into Gemini on Monday.
All the big players are in the game now although one is moving backward and another is about to be.
Three days before Uranus changed signs Venus caught up with Uranus for the LAST TIME in Taurus in our lifetimes. On the United States 249th birthday. The planets meeting at 29 degrees pretty much guaranteed a last-minute shake-up. Something was going to turn around. Break-up. Break down. Break through. Taurus is fixed earth and the sign of our natural second house. It rules our possessions, resources, money, values, natural skills, the planet Earth itself/the weather.
Trump's big, beautiful bill/budget passed with Venus/Uranus at 29 degrees bringing financial (Venus) change (Uranus). A change of values. The bill 'passed at last' (29th degree) with that anaretic degree URGENCY. A provision that states could not prevent AI 'progress' for 10 years was pulled from the bill at the last minute.
Venus was helping Uranus expend whatever energy he had left that needed to be RELEASED before he got into Gemini.
We have been having out-of-character storms here in New Jersey. Suffocating heat followed by torrential rains. Deafening thunder at night that shakes your stomach awake before your mind can figure out what is happening ... everyone is on their toes. We have just had the 4th of July weekend and the traffic is still crazy. It feels like the entire world is right here right now and everyone is AWAKE and still waiting for fireworks.
Venus caught up with Uranus at the 29th degree of Taurus (conjunct malevolent fixed star Algol), with Neptune/Saturn (water, grief, endings) conjunct in Aries and Uranus answering to Venus, so Venus here is making Uranus VERY strong and Uranus here is making Venus very CHAOTIC.
And with the 29th degree everything that can happen/that hasn't happened yet - happens at once. That mega-bill signed in DC with who-knows-what in it. And in central Texas, a month's worth of rain falls within hours in the middle of the night.
The Guadalupe River rises thirteen feet in fifteen minutes drowning at least 100 people and devastating the entire area.
We spent the weekend grieving, looking for updates on the 24 little girls missing from a Christian Summer Camp called Camp Mystic. There would be no fireworks. No celebrations. When astrologers call Venus "benevolent" we will keep in mind she rules little girls and was very powerful that day. Venusian energies include all kinds of drives that lead to conflict. Feminine energy isn't good and masculine energy bad. It's not so simple. The Mayans would look to Venus to help decide whether or not to wage war. If she was in her morning star phase/warrior phase ie visible during the day (like she is now), it was a good sign to them that it was the time to fight.
Ceres is probably at least a co-ruler of Taurus - the largest dwarf planet whose mythology makes her a perfect fit for a sign that rules the Earth/weather/resources. Ceres was at 12-degrees Aries and an EXACT square to the Sun in Cancer at the time of the flooding with her daughter Persephone in watery Pisces and an EXACT opposition to Mars - probably here is the real story of central Texas - but nothing is ever just one thing, nothing is ever so simple ...
This weekend reminded me of the days around 12/12/12. There had been all this talk of "ascension" within spiritual communities (as there is again) and then, two days later, there was the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre (spell broken) with the Finger of God pointing to Jupiter (the other benevolent planet) that left 20 children dead. One thing to understand with the power of degrees, the energy they carry, the planet's strength and the other player's positions - "benevolence" varies, can't/shouldn't be spoken of with too much confidence.
The energy is "great", but great isn't always good.
And things that look bad can bring good results and things that look good can bring bad results. We have all experienced this. We just can't know. The 29th degree Venus with Uranus, the conjunction with Algol and Sedna (the daughter who drowns), the North Node exact with Nessus (the precious cargo left in untrustworthy hands - what went wrong here) and back in 2012 that Finger of God's Jupiter was retrograde and debilitated in Gemini (the sign that rules children and early childhood education), the sextile planets were Saturn and Pluto - a consistently dangerous duo. The whole picture needs to be looked at. Things are not so simple as good and bad in forecasting ...
I still haven't finished the Uranus into Gemini post, but I have great hope for this seven-year transit. Uranus, the planet of change and liberation and the future, will not be in Gemini - changeable air - like he was in Taurus - fixed Earth, where he really had to shake things up to create change. In Gemini, change is a given. Our Gemini houses are made for it. There is much reason to HOPE.
