(Updated with second week on July 6th)
Let's take a look at the first few days of July and then I will come back and finish the month as we go.
This month is HUGE. If ascension (a great awakening) is actually happening this is probably when ascension is happening, if ai is coming to life (a great awakening) this is probably when ai is coming to life,
July looks like some kind of Great Awakening (remember astrology is a LANGUAGE of patterns and archetypes and this is just one set of eyes looking at them).
Spiritual? Technological? Do we scare the hell out of ourselves with this nuclear sh*t or tech sh*t and pull back from the brink?
Are the upcoming retrogrades of Saturn and Neptune that mimic the earlier retrogrades of Venus and Mercury - going back to get a better ending - designed to give us a SECOND CHANCE?
We can't know, but I do know whatever is going to happen we are not ready for it.
We have Uranus moving into Gemini for the first time since the 1940's and prepping us for next year's U.S. Uranus return (Uranus back to its original position in the U.S. birth chart) - which always seems to find the United States in the midst of TROUBLE. Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War II.
BUT we have had plenty of other wars WITHOUT Uranus in Gemini AND we have Trump now and he IS Uranus (Uranus conjunct Sun and North Node) and he IS a Gemini. No way of knowing if this is working for or against us at this point ... he certainly amplifies everything.
And we have Saturn and Neptune meeting in Aries - the sign of beginnings, the sign of action and anger and war. This is not exact to the second, but it's hard to be sure how important 'to the second' actually is. I started a series about this. The first post is HERE. Part II will be up this week.
AND we have Mars crossing the South Node on July 20th AND a Mercury retrograde in Leo (stationing in an exact sextile to the United States 10th house Saturn) that will have all of us re-thinking the way we do our Sun/shine/show up, use our EGO. Maybe what it means to be in a body at this time in earth's history. Mars had a mega retrograde in Leo and now it's Mercury's turn. This feels like a huge WAKE-UP CALL to me, too.
Let's look at the first week. The Moon is waxing, so it is a time to be taking action and getting things done. The Moon is VOID ALL DAY THURSDAY, so plan to chill out that day or do something you do 'on the regular', Not a day to start something important because with the Moon not interacting with anyone it is likely no one will be interacting with the thing we are starting either - unless that's a good thing of course.
JULY 2ND - First Quarter Moon in Libra
JULY 4TH - Venus conjuncts Uranus, Venus enters Gemini, Neptune stations retrograde
JULY 6TH - Venus sextiles Saturn, Venus sextiles Neptune (retro)
JULY 7TH - URANUS ENTERS GEMINI, Venus trines Pluto
WEDNESDAY - First Quarter Moon in Libra - Luna is in Libra squaring the Cancer Sun. Something about balance/partnerships vs home/safety. This is a CRISIS OF IMBALANCE. Libra is ALWAYS asking us to see what we have projected onto the other person or situation - to see the OTHER SIDE of things. With air and water there is usually a need to step back from an issue. Weigh the pros and cons. A mediator can help, too. Squares require action and action is needed to restore balance and harmony. These signs are all about the people closest to us, so the crisis will be close to home. We can't just go with our gut as July takes off the quarter Moon says there is a need to see and FEEL the other side of something. Civility, diplomacy, cooperation (maybe beauty, maybe women, maybe a woman, maybe a Libra) is needed.
FRIDAY - Venus conjuncts Uranus, Venus enters Gemini, Neptune stations retrograde - Venus catches up with Uranus at the end of Taurus. THIS IS A BIG DEAL because Venus has been ruling Uranus for the past few years. And here is where they meet. At the end of the road. The end of any sign is dicey, and we are talking about a space that is conjunct fixed star Algol (losing our head). Something can feel like it is slipping away - like we have to do something right now. Like we are missing out if we don't. Many mistakes are made with planets at the 29th degree because it feels like time is running out with something when actually it is already too late.
(on the other hand, and this is why we get two, hail mary success plays have happened with planets here, too - just when the game looks hopeless a hitter knocks the ball out of the park with bases loaded changing the score - and Venus in her home sign and anything-can-happen Uranus is here, the Moon will be in Scorpio squaring Pluto - this is making me think of the kiss that awakens sleeping beauty - things have come back to life before with this kind of set-up, but typically with that 29th degree things will go the way they are already going)
Venus/Uranus can bring unexpected money/a new source of income that comes in just in the nick of time or sometimes a bill we have overlooked or put off. Then Venus pops into Gemini - maybe now there are two choices or two conversations/things going on. With Venus in Gemini what we are attracted to CHANGES.
Geminis and Gemini rising become more ATTRACTIVE and we are all most attractive (use our Venus) through Gemini (our mind). It's a good time (through July 30th) to be talking and communicating with lots of different people about lots of different things. Venus in Gemini LOVES variety. There are more options available. There is also more duality - this is the space where our heart is saying one thing, and our brain is saying something else. Communications are more casual, livelier and more humorous. It's a good time to set aside any existing constructs about what we like and what we don't like and stay open to new experiences, new people and new situations.
Then Neptune turns around. This New World we are building, the old world that is dissolving is not a full-steam ahead kind of thing. We need a RE-VISIONING. With Neptune we spend about half the year standing knee-deep in the ocean, mesmerized by the large and colorful rocks at our feet. But most of the time when we pick up a rock for a closer look, its beauty/magic fades somewhat. The huge/fanciful rock looks rather ordinary outside the watery shimmer. We spend the other half of the year with the tide gone out. The glitter fades, but we can see clearly what we have. Most of the rocks are just normal rocks of normal coloring AND there are maybe a few beauties we have previously overlooked. This 'tide goes out' is like Neptune retrograde. Not because the colorful rocks disappear, but because we can truly see what we actually have. The illusion and uncertainty fades. HERE is what we have. HERE is where we are. This is only a bad thing if we have counting on something being more fantastical than it actually is, and, honestly with Saturn (reality) sitting with Neptune now - this magical thinking is less likely to be happening. This is a good time for all of us to see, without the rose-colored glasses, what is actually happening in the house Neptune rules in our natal chart, the house Neptune resides in our natal chart and the house Neptune is transiting (in this case, Aries). On October 22nd Neptune retrograde is going to re-enter Pisces. GOING BACK FOR A BETTER ENDING. Going back for something we missed. Neptune will station direct at 29 degrees Pisces on December 10th.
SUNDAY - Venus sextiles Saturn and Neptune (who is now retrograde/still and strong). Sextiles are OPPORTUNITIES that require some kind of action. Venus is in Gemini now so maybe there are multiple opportunities. New choices. New attractions. New money. Be out and about. Take/make the call. Neptune is retrograde so old dreams/old sacrifices can pay off here. There are new possibilities here. Messages that are light and airy can have greater significance/carry more weight than they appear to.
MONDAY, JULY 7TH - Uranus moves into Gemini for the first time since the 1940's. Venus, who has been ruling Uranus for the last few years flies into the air sign then reaches a hand back to Uranus and pulls him in, too. Uranus must like Gemini. There is just no way he doesn't. The planet of anything-can-happen in mutable air?! Venus will start pulling away from Uranus very quickly as she moves much, much faster, but for Uranus this is a trial run anyway, he will return to Taurus later this year to balance out the old books, but for now we have the sign of change, the future, chaos in mutable air. The lightning hits Franklin's kite. The bolt of electricity hits Frankenstein's head. Something is AWAKE. Maybe it's us.
What is lightning? Is it a huge release of tension?
We will talk about this in its own post. Life gets FASTER. Our attention span gets SHORTER. Here is the REVOLUTION. Here is what Pluto in Aquarius has been waiting for. Can't you just see him rubbing his hands together, "oh my, now, we've got a project".
Uranus in Gemini is the last chess piece to take the board, the last one on the bus before the bus takes off - here we go! Where are we going? We are all going to have to find out!
Some word salads of the Uranus/Gemini combo include things like - flashes of genius, anxiety, unpredictable thinking, liberation through tech, siblings acting erratically, artificial intelligence, collective thinking becomes localized, thinking outside the box, not thinking straight, saying things to shock people or push them away, ADD, ADHD, getting our signals crossed, chaos in education, chaos in local communities, aliens in your neighborhood breakthroughs and breakdowns in our thinking, breakthroughs and breakdowns in communication, breakthroughs and break downs with tech.
As soon as Venus and Uranus get into Gemini they will conjunct Sedna (and fixed star Alcyone) and start sextiling Saturn and Neptune (who are tightly conjunct asteroid Borasisi - the tech run amok) and then trine Pluto. Opportunities. Power. Transformation.
We talked about Sedna HERE and once in a while since then. She has been back and forth into Gemini herself but is now settled in for 40 more years. It is not a coincidence that Sedna backed into malevolent fixed star Algol as "time ran out" in 2020 and we find her here now. Sedna's story connects to themes of narcissism, things appearing better than they turn out to be, loss of father/stability, the seas, drowning, transformation and gifts from the 'letting go'/loss. Her discovery chart connects to AI, dark matter, cell communication and situations, often health related, that bump us onto a higher path. The post I linked to above has much more info. Sedna's orbit is so slow that we will probably only notice her machinations as she contacts another planet and now, we have both Venus and Uranus bumping into her together.
(Zero degrees Gemini is the permanent home of fixed star Alcyone - the only one of the Pleiades stars aka the Seven Sisters to be located outside of 29 degrees Taurus. The Pleiades were important to many ancient cultures, but info online about the Pleiades is tricky to navigate and sounds a bit overly idealistic to me - maybe because so many people claim to be receiving channeled info from them and/or being from there. What we do know - the Pleiades are connected to Venus, the 1811 Cherokee prophecies, ascension channelings. Personally, I have seen 0 Gemini in crime charts and sometimes connected to vision problems, debauchery, homosexuality, a connection to violence or trauma if squared or opposed - exact with Jeffrey Dahmer's Sun, Erik Menendez mid-heaven, Frida Kahlo's Moon, etc.)
SOME THING - SOME PART OF US IS JOLTED AWAKE as Uranus moves into Gemini (note Uranus won't actually make an exact conjunction with Sedna until next spring).
Sedna is about a crisis that forces us onto a higher/more spiritual path - or is this a more technocratic path!? This is Gemini, so both things at once is possible. With Sedna the narcissistic wound is where the light gets in AND as Uranus moves into Gemini asteroid Narcissus is exact with Juno, retrograde in Scorpio! I can't make this stuff up.
This is also the day, July 7th, that Venus trines Pluto. This is good news for us. Venus in Gemini - attracting via an open mind and being versatile and keeping things light - is in a smooth flow with empowerment and transformation and groups and the future and since Uranus is following in Venus's footsteps this is a GOOD SIGN. Love, money, value situations can get more intense (in a good way) and intimate. Light is interacting with heavy and the brakes are off.
We will unpack the Uranus Gemini in its own post. NOTE - Uranus doesn't make an EXACT conjunction with Sedna until next spring. Also note - Juno/Narcissus pulls in all kinds of partnership agreements mired in EGO and a need to retain POWER. And we have that Venus/Pluto that is offering options and a light way to care for the heavy/intense things. I have to think about it. You should, too.
Bottom line with everything is our collective transition from a tribal society to a society of individuals. We are transitioning from thousands of years of society where we changed ourselves to fit in so we could survive, maybe so we could ALL survive, into a society where we are ourselves and 'attract our tribe with our vibe' or we don't and if you see this as JUST a good thing I would advise you to look around and see how this is going. Sometimes things sound better on paper. Of course, who knew this transition would come not organically, but through our choices being curated by man-made algorithms - and because they mimic the way life actually works (via energetic frequencies) these algorithms work very, very well and are very, very dangerous. They aren't just showing us what we want - they are actually building what we become. It's a nail-biter.
This is what we came here for folks, the future is here. This summer is one for the history books. We'll get some breathers and they might not last long, so enjoy them.
WEEKLY FOR THE SECOND WEEK of July - the future bangs open the door, reality checks, course corrections and a Full Moon in Cappy with fated opportunities and smooth flow
There will be a wide and brief Grand Fire Trine on Monday, July 7th between the Moon in Sag, Neptune/Saturn in Aries and Mercury in Leo.
This is stable energy, a PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE that is very intense. Whatever is set into motion is going. There is NO OFF-RAMP here - keep that in mind. Also, the Moon is Void for most of Tuesday and Sunday - not the best days to start important projects, etc - so keep that in mind, too.
MONDAY, JULY 7TH - The week starts off with a bang. Uranus enters Gemini (see above and this will have its own post), Venus trines Pluto - Uranus into Gemini for the next seven years will require us to KEEP AN OPEN MIND and be fast on our feet. Our thinking, our ideas will change. We will want to be curious and willing to LEARN/teach/communicate in new ways. Surprising information will come in. Changes with tech, transportation, siblings, education and our local community are likely to shake things up. We could be more mentally restless, excited or anxious. We will surely be WOKEN UP (don't let this scare you since we've all been half-dead since 2020) as Uranus interacts with our Gemini placements and our very early degree Virgo, Sag and Pisces placements. And as he interacts with the Aqua and Aries planets our air and fire placements will be waking up, too!
This is nothing less than a collective timeline shift/reset.
Note - Uranus will station retrograde on September 6th and return to Taurus on November 7th to finish up the changes he has influenced over the last few years. He will station direct conjunct Algol in February 2026 and be back in Gemini on April 25th, 2026.
Venus trining Pluto at the same time speaks of POWERFUL ATTRACTIONS and developments that are intense and potentially empowering that fall right into our lap. The Moon is in sober Capricorn building toward Thursday's Full Moon. She will square Saturn and Neptune and oppose Jupiter for REALITY CHECKS. There is the potential for a lot to be happening early this week, and we will want to keep our wits about us.
Keep in mind a reality check is showing us where we actually are, and it is uncomfortable when it doesn't line up with where we think we are or where we want to be.
It doesn't HAVE to be uncomfortable, but when it is we get this moment of clarity to see the meaning behind the challenges - "oh this is what is really happening" "this is who he/she really is", "this is where this really stands", "this is who is really running the show", "this is who I am now or what I actually have", etc, and we get the chance, if we don't like what we are seeing, feeling, experiencing, to make changes. Usually in the moment of the reality check the changes we need to make are made clear to us.
THURSDAY, JULY 10TH - Full Moon in Capricorn - this will have its own post. Cappy is about our responsibilities and goals and obligations. Full Moons are peak periods, illuminating and sometimes ending. Rewards can come in for old work as well as results/culminations for things we have avoided. The Moon will trine the South Node in Virgo - easily enabling us to do what has been working and the Sun will trine the North Node enabling a smooth transition to something more restful and future-focused. We want to be taken care of whatever needs to be taken care of, so we are ready for WHAT IS COMING. And, yes, we don't really know what that is :) (Grand Trine approaching with all these outer planetary changes) but we probably do know what needs to be WRAPPED UP to create space for something new to find us.
FRIDAY, JULY 11TH - Sun trines North Node - the Sun in Cancer trines the North Node in Pisces. A focus on home, family, security issues creates an EASE with our best path forward. Trines are smooth flow and remove the brakes and the energy of the Full Moon will move things forward quickly. The Moon is in intelligent and airy Aquarius and making oodles of positive aspects before meeting Pluto in the evening EST making things more intense. Juno stations direct - this is also the day Juno stations direct at 16 degrees Scorpio. Her deep dive backward into our most intimate relationships and the people/situations that empower us is over and we are moving on. Juno has been retrograde since late April and will be back in optimistic/wise Sagittarius on October 1st, so between now and then the contracts, commitments, whatever has been exposed since April will be what we are taking action on/working through/moving on from or committing to.
SUNDAY, JULY 13TH - Saturn stations retrograde - Saturn is very strong this week, so our responsibilities and obligations and REALITY should be front and center. With Saturn in Aries we have likely had to take on new responsibilities or make new commitments that we have not felt ready for. We now begin a time of review and re-do with our goals, reputation, career, use of authority, themes within our natal Aries house, our duties and responsibilities. Saturn retrograde can come in like a breather or be a time when things/people/situations we have previously depended on will not be there for us. Saturn's retrograde will take us back into Pisces on September 1st (to get that better ending) and then station direct on November 27th at 25 degrees Pisces. We will be back where we are now next February, but in a bigger and more permanent way. Life is just a dress rehearsal now folks. Oh my.
Back with some other separate posts and the Full Moon in Capricorn.
Mars meets the South Node and Saturn meets Neptune (almost ... with both moving backward) and Mercury stations retrograde in fiery Leo NEXT WEEK, so buckle up. And, yes, I know the buckle has been ripped out of the car, that's OK, buckles are so last century anyway.
It is sheer momentum holding us in place now ...
WEEKLY FOR THE THIRD WEEK of July, July 14th to July 20th, 2025 - Mercury stations retrograde, Saturn and Neptune back into each other, Mars hits the South Node - lots of old stuff coming to a head, ego hits and opportunities to re-trace our steps, re-think our hearts
JULY 17TH - Last Quarter Moon in Aries, SATURN CONJUNCT NEPTUNE (almost)
JULY 18TH - MERCURY STATIONS RETROGRADE, Mercury retro sextiles Venus
JULY 19TH - Sun squares Chiron
JULY 20TH - Mars conjuncts the South Node
THURSDAY, July 17th - the Moon in Aries squares the Sun in Cancer giving us this lunar month's Final Quarter Square before next week's New Moon in fiery Leo. The Moon in Cancer is blunt, ambitious, impatient. The Sun in Cancer is sensitive and aware of what needs protecting. This is a mother/son tension vibe. Someone wants what's best for us and someone wants to GO - and, yes, both these someones can be us. We might have to assert our rights/stand up for ourselves or someone else, but let's not be a jerk about it and conversely if someone else is doing this to us, let's not be a self-protective baby. Squares are intended to move energy via tension/frustration. Just keep going.
This is also the day Saturn and Neptune meet - not to the exact second like they will next February, but this is as close as they have been in decades. And they are at the very beginning of Aries, the beginning of the beginning. They are both retrograde, so we are revising this whole - dissolving of REALITY thing. This isn't quite exact, but I would suspect we will be feeling it. Something BIG is happening this week.
FRIDAY, JULY 18TH - Mercury stations retrograde and sextiles Venus. The hold-up/delay re-thinking either leads us to a Venusian opportunity or is BECAUSE OF ONE. Happening with Mercury in Leo, puts some creative projects, the things we do to shine/stand out, the way we carry our 'royal' energy ie any sense of entitlement that is keeping us stuck or the freedoms we have traded in for safety/comfortable servitude, actions with romance, risk and children RIPE FOR REVISIONS. This can also be about a person or opportunity from the past that is pulled into the present. With Mercury retrograde in Leo for the next couple weeks we will be re-thinking, re-viewing the way we do our sun. Big questions like "are we doing what we came here to do?" will be on the table. With Mercury in Leo answering to the Sun and the Sun about to be home in Leo, most of this retrograde looks pretty strong/positive. there will be a lot we can do with it.
In general, Mercury retrograde periods - this one lasts until August 10th - are times to slow down/to look within. Anything started with "re" becomes the most effective use of our time. Re-thinking, re-evaluating, re-flecting, re-peating, re-unions, re-novations, etc.
They are re-curring opportunities to shift out of old mental patterns. We are often asked to pull back from the world and face our shadow self in some way. When we’ve exhausted the possibilities for what we can gain by projecting our shadow self onto the external events and people in our lives, we are ready to face them within our own mind (and, in this case, since we both start and end up in Leo, in our own heart).
On a practical level we see things that were concealed when Mercury was in direct motion. Maybe because we were going too fast to notice them or maybe we took a wrong turn two miles back and need to change direction. Maybe other things have to move into different spaces, so we can line up with them LATER. These retrograde periods are always useful/always needed even when we appear to incur delays, re-dos and roadblocks.
SATURDAY, July 19th - the Sun squares Chiron in Aries. Very old wounds/vulnerabilities come to light. With the Sun in home/family/mother-oriented Cancer - familial triggers are likely. The Moon will be in Taurus squaring Mercury (retrograde in Leo), so old words will be FLYING. Keep a cool head. The Moon is making a nice trine to Mars in Virgo, so practical/healthy action is best. Walk it off.
SUNDAY, July 20th - Mars catches up with the South Node in Virgo. This could be all part of yesterday's stuff, so might not be so easily walked off. Old criticisms are unhelpful. Old fixes will not work. It's time to look at how perfectionism, criticism and trying to control everything can be keeping us stuck. Health habits can need updating. Mistakes can bite us in the ass. Something here, maybe an old HABIT, is ripe for release/no longer working. This is MARS - and keep in mind Mars events can trigger early, so this may have already happened earlier in the week if something was going to BLOW - the past is very TRIGGERING. Anger, impulsivity is not our friend. The Moon, exalted in Taurus, is sextiling the Sun in Cancer - there is the opportunity here to FEEL THIS IN A HEALTHIER WAY, handle this better - take a breath, count your blessings, bring your best self to testing situations. Some bridges need to be burned, but some just need to be VALUED - if you are the one doing the blowing up know what this is going to cost you. Also know nodal aspects are FATED. Some trains won't be stopped ...
This is excellent energy to release a bad habit that is keeping you stuck/making you too critical or judgmental, work that isn't working, health habits that don't promote health.
WEEKLY FOR THE 4TH WEEK OF JULY - JULY 21ST - JULY 27TH, 2025 - drama, relationship and financial tension comes to a head, the Sun comes home to Leo and gives us a BIG New Moon to REINVENT ourselves
JULY 21ST - Venus squares the Nodes of Fate
JULY 22ND- Sun into Leo
JULY 23RD - Venus squares Mars
JULY 24TH - NEW MOON IN LEO
JULY 25TH- Sun opposes Pluto
MONDAY - Venus in Gemini and answering to our newly retrograde Mercury squares the Nodes of Fate. Relationship tension and frustration can come to a head. Words of assistance, even well-meaning, may come off as criticism and land awkwardly now. Squares are tension/frustration, and the friction comes from our desire to improve something/make something better or healthier and what the situation or person actually needs (the North Node in Pisces) - someone to listen to them, compassion, space to breathe and let something unfold naturally. Prayers and meditation are helpful. 'Less said' probably is, too. It's a time to allow conversations to meander. The South Node in Virgo is an INVITATION and with Mars here, the invitation can come through anger, irritation, etc. to LEARN THE ART OF NOT FIXING EVERYTHING. Venus in Gemini square the Nodes can also pull in a green light or a time when a choice/decision needs to be made. Squares to Venus complicates relationships and finances and the Nodes pull in fateful/lasting consequences. Use your intuition and don't overthink things.
The Moon goes void at 3:52PM EDT until tomorrow. Chill out.
TUESDAY - the Sun comes home to Leo! The world BRIGHTENS. In Leo, we focus on what our heart wants, children (and our inner child), romance, fun, creative projects - we (and everyone else) want attention. Your Leo house (and the house of your natal Sun) is the space you are meant to SHINE. Prepare to get very shiny. Summer is OFFICIAL.
Over the last few years, we have gotten used to the Sun opposing Pluto in Capricorn from Cancer and then coming home to Leo. From here on out, we have the Sun coming home to Leo and then getting the opposition to Pluto (see Friday, it will start to apply now).
WEDNESDAY - Venus in Gemini squares Mars in Virgo - squares are tension and frustration and require action. Venus in Gemini (air) is social, flirty, versatile and wants to keep things light - this is how we attract what we want. Mars in Virgo (earth) is precise, practical, attentive to details/problems/flaws, wants to be of service/fix things and can be critical - this is how we go after what we want. We can see these energies are at odds with each other and both are answering to Mercury who is retrograde! Old situations/old words can be activated. Fun vs practicality. Social stuff vs work. Girls vs boys, etc.
Gemini/Virgo squares can bring challenges that ask us to kind of refine our message - and Mercury is retrograde, so this could involve something from the past - without micromanaging or criticizing and without scattering our words/energies or taking things too lightly. This is kind of expanding on Monday's energies so can all be part of the same thing.
At its core Mars/Venus squares are what we do to get what we want vs what we want/are attracting so require adjustments with the actions we are taking and our values/what we want. Situations conspire to press us to take action to fix areas where this stuff is at odds. We can't get XYZ so what are we going to do about it? Change action, change what we want, etc. Think of Venus are flirting her way through Gemini and she runs into a practical Mars who tells her 'this isn't going anywhere, makes no sense', or Mars plodding his way through Virgo micromanaging everything and along comes this flirty Venus who tells him, 'you are a bore. you need to lighten up'. This is all happening within us but will often be projected onto situations and people outside us so we can work with it.
The Moon goes void at 8:42PM EDT until tomorrow - chill out!
THURSDAY - BIG NEW MOON IN LEO - will have its own post! It will be a BIG one!
FRIDAY - the Sun opposes Pluto. This is part of the New Moon story and will play out now and over the next couple weeks. In its highest expression, this aspect calls for courage (Leo), emotional honesty, and a willingness to confront our own shadows (Pluto). Oppositions bring endings and this one can come through a power struggle. Pluto can make situations feel especially intense and like 'life and death' (sometimes they are and often there is a before and after quality to events). Pluto can also pull in compulsion, manipulation, intimacy and big money issues. I would expect drama and ego clashes!
The Moon is void EST for most of Saturday, so chill out and relax! Expect time to get STRETCHY.
WEEKLY FOR THE 5TH WEEK OF JULY - JULY 28TH - JULY 31ST (will finish the week up in the August forecast) - Mercury Cazimi!
JULY 28TH - Venus sextiles Chiron
JULY 30TH - Chiron stations retrograde, Venus enters Cancer
JULY 31ST - Sun conjuncts Mercury retro
MONDAY - Venus in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries - we are touching on what hurts via light/casual or quick conversations. Understandings and healings are possible. We can attract and be attracted to people via their weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Sextiles create opportunities when effort is applied, so this is a connection between your Gemini and Aries houses AND your natal Venus and natal Chiron. Connections can be brief, but healing. Humor is healing. This is also good for healings between siblings and within local communities, just remember this isn't about some deep conversation - keep words and activities light.
WEDNESDAY - Chiron stations retrograde asking us to reflect, review, and revisit a very old/very deep wound or vulnerability. This can also be about the need to go back over a HEALTH SITUATION. This will be Chiron's final retrograde station in fiery Aries. By next summer Chiron will be in Taurus (he will retrograde back into Aries, but we won't have the intense station). If you have planets/points near 27 degrees of a fire sign - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius - you will likely feel this station most intently. We have been working with Chiron in Aries since 2019 - see a post about this HERE.
Retrogrades are always inside jobs. Energy re-tracts. Chiron's annual retrograde brings us, once again, face-to-face with a soul-level wounding that never fully disappears/heals but becomes a source of wisdom and strength when we tend to it consciously/learn to live with it.
In Aries this is about our identity, our physical vitality and health, our right to exist unapologetically and the collective healing work of the wounded masculine. This can bring up feelings of BURNOUT, LACK OF COURAGE, fears of inadequacy or faltering sense of purpose. Motivation can stall - which gives us a chance to re-think what we are doing (Mercury retrograde in Leo almost at his/her midpoint now). With Chiron retrograde here - and this can be true of people with this natal Chiron placement - independence can feel burdensome instead of empowering. The retrograde re-flection is a time to kind of soften into the uncertainty. Our courage will need to come, not through dominance, but through inner strength and self-acceptance.
THURSDAY - now Mercury retrograde catches up with the Sun at 9 degrees Leo. Here is some kind of CLARITY about what this Mercury retrograde has been about for us - the reason for any delays/setbacks, reunions, re-views, etc. The meeting of the Sun and Mercury always happens at the midpoint of every Mercury retrograde cycle. Something is illuminated/comes to light/is able to be seen more CLEARLY. This can be a moment to speak what we know (and also to realize other people will be doing this, too). Happening in Leo - I would expect some drama.
Venus enters Cancer. Cancer Suns and Risings become more attractive - both able to attract what they want and easier on the eye. All of our Cancer houses become more attractive, too. Venus themes will be emotionally tended to. We will require more emotional connection to feel safe and secure. We will want (or feel the lack of) whatever feels like nurturing to us. Home becomes a more valuable space. Family is a resource. Our empathy increases along with our hurt feelings when we don't get what feels like "mom and apple-pie".
What we want (Venus) is to feel safe (Cancer).
Cancer is both the mother and the baby. So, we get what we want/need by being cared for and by caring for others now. Ruled by the Moon, who changes signs every two and a half days, Cancer can be moody. Our emotions around what we want are subject to lunar whims now, but the actual thing we want can become more solid. The active feminine energy (Venus) connects with the responsive feminine energy (Moon). Venus rules love, money, women, beauty, harmony, balance, relationship, our values - everything money can buy and everything it can't.
The fly in the ointment with Venus in Cancer is the kind of smothering/mothering that suffocates, or we overindulge ourselves in some unhealthy way or we have an unrealistic expectation of someone else filling some childhood need. So, watch for emotions that are "over-the-top" compared with what is actually happening, particularly within partnerships/relationships, financial situations and dealings with women.
As Venus gets into Cancer she walks right into a square - tension/frustration - with Saturn and Neptune both retrograde in Aries (the 'dissolving of reality, solidifying of unreality' new world building energy of 2025 and 2026). This is exact on FRIDAY, but building all week. Old home/family conflicts. Relationship stresses. Pots will be stirred! We will talk about this in the August post next.
xo all - back with August's forecast next!
