Part I is HERE
On Wednesday, June 25th, 2025, at 6:31AM EST the Cancer Moon meets up with the Cancer Sun giving us this month's New Moon - our annual New Moon in lunar ruled Cancer.
Cancer rules home, family, our roots, mother, mothering, our ancestry, real estate, country, patriotism, home businesses, family businesses, the root of the matter - our emotional security - and, of course, the theme of your personal natal chart's Cancer house - this is where we get the NEW BEGINNING.
The New Moon is an excellent time for fresh starts and new projects. Old behaviors and beliefs can be replaced by more caring and nurturing actions and attitudes. Cancer is a cardinal sign, ushers in a season and wants to/needs to START.
Let's dive right in and unpack the chart.
The skies are dark. The Moon moves over Jupiter and catches up with the Sun at 4 degrees Cancer. The New Moon is tightly conjunct Jupiter and separating. We have the two Yods we talked about in Part I. The New Moon is sextile Mars in Virgo (EXACT) and inconjunct Pluto in Aquarius - separating. The New Moon is squaring Neptune and Saturn - separating.
First, the Moon is conjunct Jupiter. THIS IS GOOD NEWS. Our most benevolent planet in a sign he really SHINES is a BIG POSITIVE for New Moon events. Doors open. Lucky situations come our way as this Moon plays out over the next two weeks.
The Moon, Sun, Jupiter's tight conjunction sextiles Mars in Virgo and this sextile forms the base for a Finger of God with Pluto in Aquarius as the focus.
The sextile to Mars in mutable earth Virgo speaks of making practical changes that are focused on making something better, fixing something, making things more organized and practical, more detail oriented, being more helpful and healthful. Sextiles are opportunistic when we take action, and this is Mars - so take action. Practical action.
The focus point of the Finger of God - coming via an awkward and rock-and-hard-place inconjunct - (and Pluto is retrograde, so old scenarios are playing a part here) pulls in power and empowerment. Life and death style intensity (even when no actual lives are in harm's way). Group situations. Intellect. Detachment. Permanent change and even destruction.
So, there is some kind of double-edged sword with Pluto where maybe our actions/what is starting makes something better or more empowered and maybe it KILLS IT. Or both. Or maybe it is our fear of death/endings that pushes New Moon events and us to take needed action.
Or something like that, but likely much less dire.
We need to somehow combine the Moon/Sun/Jupiter bold fresh start WITH the practical action of Mars in Virgo to get the best of that Pluto in Aquarius and avoid the worst of it.
Yods/Fingers of God aside - there are these waning squares to Saturn and Neptune that won't be ignored.
Saturn says what is starting might take some time/patience. Require maturity and effort. Might require us to step into our authority or deal with outside authority. With this square separating New Moon events could bring, likely over the next two weeks, BENEFITS for old work, old responsibilities, old dedication.
Neptune tells us we will need to take breaks as necessary/could be in some way depleted. We might be required to make a sacrifice - give up X to have Y, etc. And we might have to give up X just trusting that Y or maybe Z is coming along. With this square separating New Moon events could bring BENEFITS for old sacrifices, even (with Neptune) rewards for past life good deeds or ancestral good deeds or ancestral sacrifices. With Neptune and Jupiter both in play - WE GOTTA BELIEVE. Have faith. Stretch ourselves a bit. Look for open doors, fixes and ways around problems.
The Moon sextiles a retrograde Vesta in Scorpio. New Moon issues can be focused on old situations that have kept us up at night. Old secrets. Old intensities and passions. Old life and death situations. Old merged money, inheritance, taxes, insurance, etc. Again, this is a sextile, so the opportunity comes through action.
With the New Moon on lucky Jupiter maybe just assume you are lucky for the next couple weeks and see how that goes. What would you do if you knew you had a four-leaf clover in your pocket, a horseshoe over your door, a ladybug on your shoulder and a dreamcatcher above your bed?
Proceed accordingly.
After the Moon meets the Sun, she will - sextile Mars, sextile Venus (in her home sign of Taurus) and then the Moon will make her last aspect which is a sextile to Uranus (opportunity to change or the opportunity comes through change). A positive closing aspect is another GOOD SIGN for New Moon events. The Moon will make all these moves over the next couple days and then they play out over the next two weeks and six months.
The Sun (because remember they are together now but the Moon moves much faster) takes a bit longer and sometimes never makes the exact aspects.
The Sun sextiles Mars on JUNE 26TH - take action
The Sun sextile Venus doesn't come through Cancer/Taurus because Venus will move on.
The Sun sextiles Uranus on JULY 23RD, and that sextile comes with the Sun in Leo and Uranus in Gemini and not within this New Moon cycle.
I wish the Sun was making the same aspects as the Moon, but we will take what we can get/not look a gift horse too closely in the mouth if you see what I mean.
A New Moon with Jupiter in a sextile to Mars doesn't come along every day and even though this one has some baggage that comes along with it - we are strong. Our suitcases are lighter now than they have ever been (thank you airline restrictions).
We are all due for some LUCK and something better.
This is a powerful energy to focus our intentions and make affirmations around general Cancer themes: mothers, motherhood, self-care, nurturing, home, family, real estate, home business, family business, food, breast health, stomach and digestive health, gut health, security ... AND around our Cancer natal/progressed house themes.
AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a positive frame of mind, work in an uncluttered space - always make affirmations from a positive place (positive meaning both happy and certain) - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud - then release your attention from them knowing your intention is known.
Know these things are already yours.

This Moon is exact on my natal Moon with Mars exact on my natal Uranus. What I have seen in the run-up is the need for me MULTIPLE TIMES in the last couple days to warn people publicly about food spoilage/poisoning (a store manager we have known for years where milk is continually bad 10 days before the sell by date and relatives over jarred food gifts that were moldy). No one wants to say anything/hurt anyone's feelings, so I have to step up and do it or I think I do and then I do. I am a Scorp rising with these planets in my natal 8th and 10th houses, so I will report on what transpires ... hopefully something better than food poisoning :)
