weekly astrology forecast | october 19th to 25th, 2026 - adjusting our expectations, reclaiming our power and knowing what we can control and what is outside our control right now, the only way out is down, so down we go ...

Let's dive right in! It's a BIG week.

MONDAY - Moon conjoins Pluto squares Venus and opposes Mars

TUESDAY - Venus squares Pluto, Moon opposes Jupiter

WEDNESDAY - Sun trines North Node, Venus quincunx Neptune, Sun opposes Chiron
THURSDAY - Moon trines Mercury
FRIDAY - Sun enters Scorpio, Sun conjoins Venus, Juno re-enters Aquarius
SATURDAY - Mercury stations retrograde, Moon conjoins Saturn
SUNDAY - Venus retrogrades into Libra, Sun quincunx Neptune
MONDAY (next week) - FULL MOON in Taurus, Sun squares Pluto

Check out the bookends this week - retrograde Venus squares Pluto and six days later the Sun squares Pluto at THE SAME DEGREE and Pluto has just stationed direct on this degree (and it's 3-degrees, the number of Mars/Uranus last summer) and is strong and still. Oh my. The Full Moon falls in Taurus inside that same tangle, so, by next Monday the Sun, the Moon and Pluto are all sitting at 3 degrees of the fixed signs, a fixed T-square.

STUBBORN doesn’t begin to cover it.

This is about love, money and power - who has it, who wants it and who is still paying for it. In between the Pluto squares, the Sun hits the hinge of the Venus retrograde, Venus makes her final Venus Starpoint in Scorpio in our lifetimes (ending a 100-year cycle, I would expect some big Scorpionic style collective story in the news about a woman/women), Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio, and Venus backs out of Scorpio and moves home to Libra.

Two inner planets are going backwards, so the way through is DOWN, not forward. Nobody is going full steam ahead.

MONDAY - the Moon is in detached/intellectual Aquarius and spent the wee hours conjoined to Pluto and squaring Venus. Think of it as a dress rehearsal for tomorrow (although actual events do not always play out when the energies are most exact, so give a day or two berth to things). By daylight Luna trines Uranus and sextiles Saturn, which is good for friends, groups, breaking a pattern and doing something a little differently. Take the day. Twist it around a bit. By Monday night the Moon opposes Mars in Leo, and we get the old tug of war between belonging to the group and being the star of it. We want to be noticed, and we want to fit in. Hold onto that lightly with whoever you are dealing with.

TUESDAY - before the Sun is up, Venus squares Pluto. This is her second square of three (first was mid-September, the final one is in December). Their first square Venus was direct and Pluto was retrograde and this time they have reversed places. This is the square where Venus is retrograde, so this is not a new obsession. It is an OLD one coming back around - a jealousy, a money tangle, a closeness with terms we have not actually ever said out loud/agreed to. Pluto doesn’t care what you want. Pluto wants to know what you are still bargaining for and who you are bargaining with. We want to be honest about it. Especially with ourselves.

In the afternoon the Aquarius Moon squares Mercury in Scorpio, so we want to watch the words and the moods. We can think ourselves right into a corner/box. By Tuesday evening EDT, the Moon opposes Jupiter in Leo and everything wants to be BIGGER than it should be, so over-promising, over-spending and over-feeling are all on the menu. Keep a couple toes in the dirt. We want to see the big picture, but not lose track of the details.

WEDNESDAY - there is a lot here, so pay attention. Before dawn the Moon trines the Sun, and in the morning the Libra Sun trines the North Node in Aquarius. This is easy, clear alignment, a flash of who is on your road/your team and who isn’t. Venus inconjuncts Neptune and we see that the picture in our heads, the dream of the person or the job or the situation, does not quite fit what is in front of us. Adjusting costs a little. There is no winning side. Know this going in.

Mid-morning the Moon slips into Pisces and trines Venus in Scorpio at lunchtime. Again, this is EDT. That is a soft, doable look at our feelings about love and worth. It is tender and also probably by this time in the story - a little tired. By evening the Moon squares Uranus and the nerves come on, and that is the same evening the Sun opposes Chiron at 28-degrees Aries. The Sun is in a triangle with the Node and Chiron, so the gift and the wound are on the same degree, pointing at each other. Libra asks what is FAIR, what keeps the peace. Chiron in Aries says what did I have to become to survive, and whose needs got dropped in the name of harmony? Don’t be afraid to look at this because it's not going to be a one-and-done. We want to be open to new perspectives but not ignore what our feelings/intuition is trying to tell us.

THURSDAY - not every day has to have something in it. The Moon is in Pisces all day with nothing to do until late at night, when she trines Mercury in Scorpio just before he turns around. That is a gift. Rest, soak, nap, make something, daydream. If you have something to say to someone, this is the night to say it, because after Saturday everything said gets re-viewed and maybe even re-versed. Pisces Moon in a Neptune week can also be a slippery slope, so watch the escape hatches. One glass becomes two or three and one Netflix episode a marathon.

FRIDAY - early in the morning the Sun moves into Scorpio. The Moon leaves Pisces for Aries in the afternoon and then the evening kind of hits us. The Aries Moon conjoins Neptune and the day goes foggy and a little impulsive, and a couple of hours later she sextiles Pluto.

At the end of the night the Sun meets a retrograde Venus at 0 degrees 45 minutes of Scorpio. This is Venus’s inferior conjunction, the MIDDLE of the whole cycle and her FINAL Venus Starpoint in Scorpio in our lifetime. Venus slips into the Sun’s light, disappears, and comes out the other side as a morning star.

Everything we have been revisiting since early October - the old love, the financial entanglement, what we think we are worth, hits its hinge point THIS WEEK. We are looking under the covers, under the hood, and at the balance in the checkbook. Juno goes back into Aquarius too and asks a quiet question - what kind of commitment honors both the bond and the freedom?

SATURDAY - Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio. With Venus already turned, we get a double review of what we love and what we say about it. Mercury at a station is hard to steer, and in Scorpio he runs under the surface. Watch for the unsent message. The sentence that comes out sideways. The fact that surfaces at the least convenient moment. Read the message twice. Send it once, or don’t send it at all. Double-check appointments and travel plans while you are at it. NOTE Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is very powerful and also prone to the usual retrograde wonkiness. And now the stakes are higher. Tend to your language with maturity and intelligence. There can be ramifications for what you are agreeing to/with and committing to and what you curse now. And, yes, NOTE the word 'curse' because calling someone a motherf*cker with Mercury retrograde in Scorpio can tap into an ancient hex and create even more trouble for them ... and you as it re-verses course. Words are powerful. As powerful as they have ever been. Use them well.

In Scorpio, Mercury wants to/needs to investigate. He wants to get to the bottom of things. He wants the REAL answer, not the polite answer/the easy answer/the answer that allows everyone to go home and pretend nothing happened. So we may re-visit conversations, re-consider agreements, discover missing information, or find ourselves thinking about something we thought we were finished with. This is what this time is for. Just realize we can get obsessed and if we do - it might be more about 'why am I obsessing about this thing' than about the obsession/thing itself. Be smart about it.

Early in the morning the Moon sextiles Uranus and then she conjuncts Saturn in Aries by mid-morning. That is a reality check with some backbone. It's good for facing what has to be handled and handling it. In the evening Luna trines Mars in Leo and the day closes with a fire trine, loud and proud and brave. Follow your heart. The re-looks and re-visions are coming anyway, so give them something to work with :)

SUNDAY - the Moon trines Jupiter in the morning, which brings confidence and optimism and a big warm yes. Venus backs out of Scorpio and into her home sign of Libra. YAY. She went into the dark and comes back to balance, beauty and relationship, carrying what she learned down there. We do, too. This is a softening. Terms can be re-negotiated, and an agreement can be re-written. The Sun inconjuncts Neptune the same day, echoing Venus’s inconjuncts on Wednesday, only this time it touches identity and purpose, not just love and values/resources. It’s a good day to see through a story you have been telling about yourself or somebody else. Remember when we talked about October back in September we said things will be re-peating and get more sticky as we go. Keep this in mind.

By Sunday night EDT the Aries Moon opposes Venus just as she settles back into Libra, so it’s me versus we. Both sides get a say. Then the Moon moves into Taurus, and the stage is set for the New Moon. Peace is good, but peace at any cost is not.

Long Void Moon today, so take time to relax/regroup. Don't start important projects you need things to 'come of'. Time can get stretchy.

THE FOLLOWING MONDAY (the 26th) - FULL MOON in Taurus, and it happens just after midnight, so technically it is late Sunday night. This will have its own post. The Moon opposes the Scorpio Sun and squares Pluto in the same breath, and the Sun squares Pluto at the same degree that Venus squared him six days ago. What Venus raised as FEELING, the Sun raises as WILL. Taurus is about what we own, what we value and what keeps us safe. Scorpio is about what owns us. Keep this in mind. And the Moon’s ruler, Venus, is retrograde in Libra, so we are weighing all of it a second time. Who has the power? Who is trying to keep it? Who is afraid of losing it? Whatever we admitted in private on Tuesday gets tested in the real world. Pluto squares aren’t about winning. They are about not handing your power to somebody else. Take it back. Let the old promises go. By Monday night the Moon squares Mars in Leo. Tempers and pride can flare, so expect people to want to be appreciated. Taurus does not like being pushed and Mars in Leo does not like being ignored. Nobody wants to back down ...

There is a lot going on this week and it might be easy to miss the Neptune aspects - so let's not. Venus inconjunct Neptune on Wednesday. The Moon conjunct Neptune on Friday. The Sun inconjunct Neptune on Sunday. Venus's inconjuncts asks us to ADJUST OUR EXPECTATIONS about love, worth, money or a relationship. The Moon/Neptune conjunction brings that sensitivity into our emotional experience, while the solar inconjunct asks us to adjust our understanding of ourselves and what we are trying to accomplish.

In other words, the dream may need adjusting, and so may the person we imagined ourselves to be while pursuing it!

All in all, this week looks to be about RECLAMATION.

The POWER we gave to a lover, a number or an old story/old commitment/old promise is available to take back, and with Venus and Mercury both retrograde the taking back is slow and quiet work. An inside job. Don’t force it. Go down, look, then come back up. This is what we came for folks. This is why we are here.

(note that 'reclamation' does not always mean walking away, it can mean staying, but under different terms. Sometimes it means letting go or maybe this week it means telling ourselves the truth)

WE CANNOT CREATE A MORE SECURE FUTURE BY CLINGING TO SOMETHING THAT IS ALREADY FALLING APART. This week's story began with Venus square Pluto and ends with the Full Moon square Pluto with the Sun square Pluto reinforcing the same theme. We are building toward that fixed T-Square Full Moon all week.

We are being asked to look at what we value, what we fear losing and where power has become tangled up with our sense of security.

We won't have all the answers - we will have something with that Venus Starpoint - Venus and Mercury are retrograde, after all. But we can begin to see the difference between what we truly need and what we are holding onto because change feels scarier than these Halloween hologram projectors people are putting in their windows (what kind of society needs to scare our children this badly, wtf is wrong with us? those people crawling backwards upside-down projections - omg).

Let's allow the truth to come up (we won't have any choice anyway). Let the old story be questioned. And don't confuse the discomfort of change with proof that change is wrong.

xo all

J.D. Vance's chart is on fire right now with the Sun/Venus on his natal Pluto, the last New Moon tight on his Moon, Uranus on his North Node of Fate, Mercury stationing on his Mars/IC, the South Node on his ascendent, North on his DC, transiting Mars on his 12th house Sun and Jupiter exact on his 12th house Venus the ruler of his career/public reputation - what is he doing behind-the-scenes?? Behind-someone's back? I have put off looking at the politics for soooo long and need to get back there. That post is started, just need to finish it.
