We are in the Eclipse spin cycle - in between two powerful Eclipses ... and this is a busy week, so let's jump right in!
MONDAY - Venus, at 6 degrees Virgo, sextiles Vesta in Cancer as Jupiter, retrograde at 12 degrees Taurus opposes Ceres in Scorpio
Venus/Vesta focuses our attention on our daily habits, health, work, pets, home and family. Whatever has been keeping us up at night - that home/family/mother situation - benefits from our attention to the details, being more practical and maybe taking a closer look at what we want and what we already have.
Jupiter/Ceres speaks of a financial or intimate culmination. Ceres is in Pluto's realm in Scorpio. Nurturing can be intense/controlling. Sometimes oppositions to Ceres require us to accept a loss/work out a complicated compromise. Jupiter, retrograde in Taurus, speaks of the old gold that can be mined when we do.
TUESDAY - Juno moves into Virgo, so this is where WORK ON OUR IMBALANCED RELATIONSHIPS/fixing what isn't working can really pay off. This will be a LONG transit, so obviously we need it!
On January 12th, 2024, Juno is going to station retrograde at 21 degrees Virgo (that powerful/next to power number we've been talking about) and will station direct at 6 degrees Virgo on April 21st. Juno will not leave Virgo for Libra until August 9, 2024, so we have the next nine months to FIX THIS STUFF.
Juno, the wife of Jupiter/Zeus, is the archetype that speaks of powerful dynamics within committed relationships. When we 'commit' to someone/something, there is a shift in the balance of power. She represents marriage and contractual alliances. She also speaks of the power we get through our connection to the real power - Juno became queen through her marriage to the king - and what we will do to hang onto that power.
Juno in Virgo will be a one-foot-in-front-of-the-other PROCESS as we work through the ins and out of things. The emphasis with an earth sign like Virgo is on wholeness - not making decisions and taking actions that fragment us. What is real/practical? Can we work on this/fix what can be fixed, take small steps forward without the perfectionist/critical Virgo crap gumming up the works? We are going to find out!
Keep in mind, Juno in Virgo will be answering to Mercury, so what he/she is doing and the sign Mercury is in will impact how we work with this, too. We will talk about this as we move through it.
WEDNESDAY to SATURDAY - the Sun and then Mercury meet the South Node and then each other as they move into a square with powerful Pluto
This is bringing to light and into the news and our conversations imbalanced relationships with power. These could be about passive aggressive behavior, people-pleasing tendencies, outdated relationship agreements and contracts that are not fair. The square, which brings power struggles and tension/frustration, will push us to take action to turn a corner on the situation.
Look at what is happening in the world and ask yourself how this is playing out in your own life?
Squares with Pluto can trigger fears about losing what we have. Intensity. Avoid manipulating, trying to control others. Plutonian squares can stir up compulsions, jealousy, old secrets, old fears. Keep a cool head. For some people this square will bring, before/after, life/death permanent changes.
SUNDAY - Mercury then dives into Scorpio. We go deeper/more intimate. We are looking under the hood and the covers. His quick trine to a retrograde Saturn brings helpful limits/authority/structure into the conversation and news. Words are powerful/will commit us to what we are saying so think before you speak. Trines to Saturn are times when we get ahead more easily and things move more smoothly when we play by the rules.
As the planet of communication (Mercury) ingresses into the sign of power, transformation and secrets (Scorpio) until November 10th - the conversation changes.
This is excellent energy for deep (Scorpio) investigation/research (Mercury). Instead of learning/thinking/communicating about a little of this and a little of that, now is the time to go "all in" with a subject we are passionate about. Our mind can focus. Multi-tasking will be harder because our intellect will want to sit with one thing for longer than we usually do.
We will be getting to the bottom of things and will not be satisfied with Libra's (Mercury's last stop) conversational civilities. We'll want to know, and think/talk about, what is really happening. It won't always be comfortable.
The hard truths won't be blurted out spontaneously - we will have to dig for them. Decide first if you really want to know what is hiding underneath because Plutonian authenticity is not only transformational - it is permanent. There is no going back to "not knowing". Mysteries can be solved. The truth could come out. Secrets can be languaged and spoken out loud.
Difficult conversations will create deeper levels of intimacy now. If you are dating someone and you have sex (also Scorpio ruled) with them you can never go back to not having sex with them even if you never have sex with them again. The intimacy is still there. It will be like this with our words now.
And once we know the information - we own it. It's our move (with Scorpio the move might be internal). It changes who we are and we ignore who we are at our own peril.
Careless language (disrespect for ourselves and others) and our careless treatment of other people's words (and their reaction to ours) will be karmic. Keep this in mind.
There could be battles for mental supremacy and mind games during this transit.
People prone to manipulation could be extremely effective (or someone will finally see right to the bottom of what we are doing - maybe that someone will be ourselves). This is a time to take a good, long look at what we are really seeking when we are trying to make a situation/person behave in a way that pleases us. Think about it. There are gold nuggets to be mined now. Even tiny specks can be used to create great fortunes. Scorpio rules our inheritance.
The fly in the ointment here is that we might think we are mining for gold when we are really just obsessing on the same old same old. Scorpio rules obsession and compulsion and our minds could easily go there now. Notice it. Don't judge it. Think about - "what does it mean that I keep thinking about this?". Scorpio rules death, too. It's not only what we dig up, but what we put into the ground that matters now.
Maybe some words/language/story needs to be put to rest. The trine to Saturn will help with that, too. Mercury will be in Scorpio until November 10th.
SUNDAY is also the day, Venus in Virgo trines a retrograde Jupiter in Taurus.
It is always good news when our two most beneficial planets are in a smooth alignment! Collectively this will be about financial benefits/old gold that we can attract through a solid, practical, step by step approach. Personally, and this is happening at 12 degrees, this will be a positive flow between our Virgo and Taurus houses. Jupiter is retrograde, so the benefits come from something in the past. These are earth signs so are about material benefits we can hold in our hand/take to the bank.
