Full Moon in Libra | April 6th, 2023 - a change of heart, new ways of finding peace, RELATIONSHIP EYE-OPENERS and conclusions, RESOLVING VERY OLD BATTLES with ourselves through other people, learning to live and love in an unstable time

On Thursday, April 6th, 2023, at 12:34 AM EDT, the Libra Moon opposes the Aries Sun giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in the sign of Libra.

Full Moons are always a time of PEAK energy. There is a culmination, a completion. Something comes TO LIGHT. In general during a Libra Moon we might notice the ways our life/relationships have moved out of balance. Who/what we are attracted to now. Who/what we are withdrawing from or is withdrawing from us.

Back in 2019 we had TWO Full Moons in Libra - one at the Spring Equinox and then another one four weeks later. Two Full Moons in the same sign in the same year is unusual.

Coming in the relationship focused sign of Libra with the "we vs me" polarity of the Libra/Aries axis - something here was really wanting our attention. From our older/wiser/"what the flying frig is going on here" vantage point three years later - we can see it was uber important that we got really, really clear on who (and what) we wanted to be with on this next leg of our journey.

Because on the one hand, we were going to be stuck in the house with them ... for weeks/months in 2020 and 2021. And on the other hand, we were moving toward the kind of challenges that would be best met hand-in-freshly-washed-hand with the right person/people. By that second Full Moon we knew who had our back. We knew who we were on the same page with.

We can't say we weren't warned.

Now, I am looking back at this because this year we have TWO New Moons in Libra's polarity sign of Aries - one two weeks ago, also at the Spring Equinox, and the next one, a Solar Eclipse, our first Solar Eclipse in Aries in decades, two weeks from now.

We can't say we aren't warned this time either. This Moon/what is happening now is our warning.

The Full Moon now, sandwiched between the TWO New Moons in Aries  - that are really trying to get our attention - is very important. What you have going on in your life right now matters. The people/the projects you are partnered with matter. The things that are in balance/the things that are out of balance. There is a kind of warning here/a celestial HEADS UP. In a few months the South Node is going to move into Libra and we will be talking about releasing the old ways we do partnership. Outdated ideas about what it means to be in balance. Outdated ideas about beauty. Maybe even outdated ideas about justice and fairness.

For now, our balance seeking/beauty loving Libra Moon opposes not only the Sun - 16 degrees Libra/Aries - but also a pile-up of energy in Aries including Chiron who is tightly conjunct the Sun, as well as Jupiter, Eris and Vesta. The Sun is sandwiched between Chiron and Jupiter (and asteroid Arachne). The Full Moon is inconjunct Uranus. The Full Moon is squaring Pallas. Venus, the ruler of this lunation as the ruler of Libra, is sextiling Neptune and Pallas and trining Ceres.

And a challenging chart gets complicated when you factor in, because nothing happens independently of anything else/in a vacuum - the Sun is applying to his annual conjunction to Jupiter, Mercury will soon station retrograde, and, in fact, will start covering his retrograde degrees within just a couple days, Venus is about to leave her home sign of Taurus, move into Gemini and start answering to Mercury, this is the last Full Moon BEFORE eclipse season and the NEXT Libra New Moon will be a Lunar Eclipse - when we factor in the BIG picture, we can see an even greater significance here.

This Moon's opposition to that powerful stellium in Aries is asking us - what are we defensive about? What are we blaming other people for?

What are we projecting onto other people? What are other people projecting onto us?

With the Sun sandwiched between Chiron and Jupiter we are likely to find ourselves vacillating between hope/optimism and our old wounds/vulnerabilities/triggers anyway, then the Moon opposes in her fullness and illuminates the whole thing, allowing us to not only feel it, she always allows us to feel it, but to SEE IT, too.

So, what are you seeing? hearing? feeling?

With the Sun also tightly conjunct asteroid Arachne, there could be something here about us 'weaving a web' or maybe enmeshed/entangled situations or even whatever we are doing on the internet (which was originally called the web back in the www world wide web days, although isn't so much anymore, I guess).

The Full Moon is inconjunct Uranus. This speaks of our need to get comfortable with the uncomfortable - something that has been in play for years and is emphasized here. If we are waiting for X before we do Y, we might ask ourselves what we are going to do if X doesn't get here.

Venus is sextiling Neptune. We haven't had Neptune at 25 degrees Pisces since the middle of the 1800's. This is new to us in this lifetime. Since Neptune is all about the past and what is behind us, we have almost certainly awakened a story from that time - both collectively and personally. Something here - Taurus/Pisces - about making the dream real, also conversely about reality being diluted. Venus in Taurus is all about what we already have. She isn't counting her chickens before they've hatched because she has the actual chickens. In a smooth flow with dreamy Neptune, who is, yes, factoring in those unhatched chickens - we can get the best of both worlds where we blend practicality and earthiness with our imagination/art/music/past life or ancestral story/spirituality/healing. If this was a harsh aspect we could lose what we have to these same kind of imaginings, but the sextile is an opportunistic aspect - we just have to keep in mind the practical earthiness of Taurus. We have to know what we value. We have to know how many chickens we have and get real with ourselves about how many chickens we actually need.

Venus is also sextiling Pallas while the Moon is squaring Pallas. Venus's sextile is unwinding/was exact a few days ago and spoke of appreciating the quiet/gentle moments at home or with family. The Moon's square is more jagged. Speaks of tension/frustration. But, remember, Pallas is in Cancer, so answering to the Moon - and the Moon is in Libra answering to Venus who is sextiling, so the tension/frustration may be what is creating the opportunity to have those quiet/gentle moments. Just keep in mind the Moon's square requires uncomfortable action, especially with family/home/mother/home business/family business situations.

The Moon in Libra wants balance/beauty. Libra can bend over backward to meet other people's needs TO A POINT. Because Libra is all about balance and peace and harmony, this energy EXPECTS others to reciprocate, and so is, consciously and unconsciously, always keeping score. Libra uses its basic nature, which is to be cooperative, to TEST PEOPLE OUT. "Are they going to be fair with me?", we ask from our Libra house/Libra planets. Libra is very sensitive to being manipulated (and is actually where we start learning how to do this, because remember this is the sign that precedes Scorpio) and Libra is an air sign, so will pull back emotionally and think about it. So, Cancer, which is a very emotional energy, being Luna's sign - which is why it needs to pull back into its shell quite often to regroup, much the way Libra pulls into its head - can sense Libra's DISTANCE and gets irked by it. Tension with Libra's observing from a distance Cancer's very real pain might come into play now as well as the flip side of Cancer's neediness/childishness irking Libra's airiness and need for balance. The sextile from Venus will aid the Moon's square, but, again, there is something here that requires some sort of action. This can also be about our relationship/or whatever we have partnered with now at odds with home/family. Keep in mind both signs here - Libra and Cancer - are seeking love - so what/who needs more of yours? And, how can you give more to yourself?

Libra Full Moons are usually about our closest relationships.

Things peak/end/come to light.

The balance shifts.

The worm turns.

With our Full Moon outmanned by that pile-up in Aries, being nice/polite, doing Libra - will only be so effective. The Sun/Chiron is requiring us to deal with very old wounds, triggers, ENEMIES. Nice isn't enough here. We have to be brave, too.

The fact that Mercury - in Taurus for a good long time, so answering to the Moon's ruler Venus (who is about to be in Gemini and so in mutual reception with him/her) - is about to trine the North Node is a pretty good indication that events this Full Moon cycle ushers in - brings to light/peaks/closes out play an important role in our FUTURE.

With a Full Moon in Libra opposing Chiron in Aries as Jupiter approaches the Sun and Mercury approaches the North Node this is a VERY IMPORTANT TIME.

I am going to do a collective post next.

I noticed the grand jury indicted Trump on a void Moon and his arraignment also happened on a void Moon (when it is said that 'nothing comes of it' and Trump was born on a Full Moon) and he has Jupiter - the most benevolent/luckiest planet - on the very top of his chart on the next election day, so it's going to be interesting. We will also take a look at King Charles coronation on the Eclipse - what will be eclipsed out there? If there is any doubt royalty represents 'Gods on earth' this will erase it (and royalty isn't just royalty and we'll talk about that, too). It is so interesting to me the coronation happens during this brief window with Pluto in Aquarius. We will also get back to that. Pluto in Aquarius which almost immediately triggered a collective conversation around our fear of death (Pluto) by technology (Aquarius) and replaced the conversation around our fear of death (Pluto) by the government (Capricorn). Don't worry, Pluto will be back in Capricorn and the government will start scaring the sh*t out of us again soon enough ....

Pluto in Aquarius is no joke though and we will get back to it.

As always, this Scorpio rising's 10th house Virgo hopes something here is helpful. I almost always encourage walking in the Full Moon (yes, to this one) and encourage creating some space - give something away/clear something out. I always drop a bag of items at the goodwill. Full Moons always show us what we are holding onto (sometimes and maybe quite often it is our breath) and with this one carrying us right into Eclipse season we will want to be paying attention. EXHALE.
