Ok guys, so another BIG week for us.
We begin this week with a Balsamic Moon (what is most commonly called a Waning Crescent). This is the 3 1/2 days each month before the New Moon when the Moon, which moves much faster than the Sun, sort of disappears. We might want to do something like this, too, especially if we have had the pedal to the metal lately.
(if you track your natal chart through your secondary progressions, the Balsamic Moon phase is a THREE 1/2 YEAR period when you might find yourself lacking momentum and grinding your gears)
Monthly, for all of us, the Balsamic Moon phase is a good time to rest, focus within. Kind of dial things back a bit if we can. Luna isn't really supported here, so if you find yourslf losing your focus, don't worry this, too, shall pass!
We have a longish void Moon on Monday before the Moon gets into Aries at 9:09PM EDT. Once she gets into Aries she is on track for her meeting with the Sun. The Moon already met the Sun in Aries last month, so this year we have a very rare SECOND New Moon in Aries. The last one on the very first degree of Aries - on the Spring Equinox - and this one at the very last degree.
(if you have this feeling like you are running out of time and must do this thing - whatever this thing is - NOW, well, this is the reason - the last degree of a sign is kind of when we toss that three-pointer up at the buzzer and hope for a miracle, which is possible by the way since the Moon meets up with Jupiter just hours before the New Moon ... )
So, the Moon moves into Aries on Monday night (EDT). She immediately sextiles Mars. Mars is Aries ruler and the Moon is answering to him here. Mars is in Gemini, answering to Mercury who has slowed way down and is about to back up.
So, something is about to slow down and back up for us, too.
Let's start with MONDAY night EDT - the Moon meets up with Neptune in Pisces - we are dreaming/escaping, maybe fantasizing. Then she goes void, so maybe we are releasing something, letting something kind of drift away. Maybe we are drifting off course. That's ok (easy on any drugs/alcohol though). We don't want to make any big decisions or start anything new from this 'void moon' territory, but if we feel the need to rest we certainly should. This is Monday afternoon and early evening.
Then the Moon enters Aries around 9:09PM EDT - heading toward her meeting with the Sun in a couple days - and immediately sextiles Pluto. This is good for our focus, and getting in touch with deep desires/truth, but things can get intense quickly. Aries/Aquarius are both liberating energies. Need freedom. It will be challenging if we are trying to tie someone down here, but we might need to assert ourselves with something/someone. Group situations/tech can be empowering.
By TUESDAY, the Moon in Aries will sextile Venus in the late morning and square Mars in the early evening - again this is all EDT. The sextile to Venus in Gemini looks like we are busy/running around. Lots of communications and ideas. We are taking action. The square to Mars can bring tension/frustration. Maybe an argument. Ideas can clash. Challenging home and family situations. On WEDNESDAY, the Moon meets up with Jupiter at 1:26PM - we should be feeling more optimistic/hopeful. Something is expanding.
Then early, early THURSDAY, which will be Wednesday night for many people, the Moon meets up with the Sun at 29 degrees Aries. We have our SECOND New Moon, this one a powerful Solar Eclipse.
EXPECT A BIG POST!
Then the Moon moves into Taurus, the sign of her exaltation, and immediately squares Pluto. She sextiles Saturn a few hours later. The square to Pluto is kind of coloring the New Moon energy - because the Moon knows she is heading into this square - and we do, too/will feel this, too. A kind of urgency/intensity/life and death feel to SOMETHING.
Our new chapter, this New Moon - which is really a SECOND CHANCE - hits this snag. Right away.
Power struggles. Finance/resource issues. Personally this will depend on what is activated in our chart and the houses involved. We will talk more about this in the New Moon post. The Moon's following up sextile to Saturn, is helpful though, as is the Moon's proximity to Juputer. We will talk about this, too.
By FRIDAY, the Moon is sextiling Mars - this is comfortable energy, although if you are in the EDT zone you will likely sleep through this. At 4:05AM EDT, the Moon meets up with Mercury, then thirty minutes later Mercury stations retrograde. In Taurus, Mercury's retrograde - which will be its own post, too - is about really practical things. We are circling back because we missed something and it matters. We will be re-doing, re-evaluating, re-miniscing.
(on Saturday, the Moon is kind of repeating last Saturday's energy, so there might be something connecting the two dates)
By SUNDAY, Mercury, who is moving backward now, so we are all covering some kind of old ground here, is sextiling - an opportunistic aspect - with Mars in Cancer. Something about this BACKTRACKING is good for home/family. There is an opportunity here. Maybe through an old resource, or changing our thinking about money/finances/what we value. Talking/thinking about something we have talked/thought about before is good. Say it again.

TUESDAY - Pallas sextile Ceres - Ceres is retrograde in Virgo and Pallas is in home/family focused Cancer, so we are improving/fixing something here. Revising how we are nourishing something/someone/ourselves. This is another second chance energy this week - what needs fixing?
THURSDAY - New Moon Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees Aries (this is the second New Moon in Aries we have been talking about - the first was at the very beginning of the sign and now we have this one at the very end), Sun then enters Taurus and squares Pluto, oh my
FRIDAY - Mercury stations retrograde at 15 degrees Taurus
SUNDAY - Mercury sextiles Mars

Heads up on Monday the Pisces Moon goes void off her meeting with ruler Neptune at 2:57PM EDT until 9:04PM EDT. You know the drill with that.
