So, here we are in between two powerful Eclipses (cosmic course corrections) with Mercury retrograde in Taurus, having stationed retrograde pretty precisely where the Sun will be at next week's big Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Scorpio and where Jupiter is going to station retrograde in early September (when we go back to mine for the gold we missed the first time through with whatever we are re-tracing our steps with now/whatever we are re-thinking).
The middle degrees of the fixed signs are LIT.
The Eclipse spin cycle is fated.
Events/energies conspire to change our minds, our course, the very way we move in this world. We are being reset with new programming like a computer being rebooted.
This week is very powerful and filled with opportunities!
And keep in mind, Mercury is retrograde in Taurus answering to Venus in Gemini. We are back to the repeating energies and doing two things at once we had with Mars in Gemini for months. Also the ACTIVE MIND making unusual connections. Except now, we have this coming through different planets in mutual reception (we had this for awhile with Mars in Gemini, too) with each other, so this seeing-double, doing things twice, etc - is happening, but, depending on how well we use the "re-invention energy of all this" could bring greater benefits/lessons. It's a little closed Taurus/Gemini loop - what are the themes of these houses in your natal chart and what houses do Venus and Mercury occupy? On May 1st, when Mercury meets the Sun, we will get to SEE what this retrograde period is all about for us.
In the meantime, let's unpack this week.
MONDAY - Sun and Vesta and North Node conjunction
TUESDAY - Sun sextile Saturn, Venus sextile Chiron
THURSDAY - Mars square Chiron, First Quarter Moon Leo
SATURDAY - Mars sextile Uranus
So, on MONDAY - and isn't this interesting!! - whatever we have going on now, whatever we are trying to light/keep lit, whatever is keeping us up at night is VERY IMPORTANT, there is an opportunity here for our future - the Sun and Vesta and the North Node all meet at 3-4 degrees Taurus.
Commit. Commit. Commit. Whatever our attention is focused on now LIKE A LASER BEAM is our way forward. This is Taurus, so should not be overly complicated, will likely bring stability, self-esteem, possibly money. Here is a light on our best and most abundant future.
On TUESDAY, that same Sun who has just met up with Vesta (our sacred devotion) and the North Node (our best, most abundant and stabilizing way forward) now sextiles Saturn. This tells us whatever we have going on will need some time and patience, but will be BUILT TO LAST. This might involve friends, groups, tech, the internet, our Aquarius natal house.
At the same time the Cancer Moon is sextiling the Taurus Sun. This is this month's waxing sextile. More opportunistic energy. Pulls in home, family, mothering, home/family business, what feels comforting. We are moving forward. Remember the Sun in Taurus provides stability and comfort - we don't need to rush - and Mercury is retrograde, so rushing isn't a good idea anyway - but we do need to keep moving. If we want to feel better, more comfortable, more stable - we are going to need to take action. This isn't something that will just fall into our lap, and this is Taurus, so what makes the most sense/cents?
Venus is sextiling Chiron. Venus is in Gemini and answering to a retrograde Mercury, so there is something about THE PAST here. Opportunities for healing very old wounds in almost casual ways. This isn't about some deep healing conversation. Maybe something is said in passing or some information comes to us THAT IS HELPFUL. With Chiron involved, maybe HEALTHFUL.
On THURSDAY, Mars squares Chiron - Cancer/Aries at 17 degrees. WE ARE TRIGGERED. This is the week's big challenge. Vulnerabilities and insecurities will trigger our urge to fight. Fighting with Mars in Cancer squeezes out all awkwardly as old childhood/family wounds are triggered. Do you really want to fight the same old tired fight?
The way through this?
Mars is applying to Saturday's sextile to Uranus.
DETACH.
Don't take things personally. Change your perspective.
Keep in mind the Mars/Chiron square is cardinal energy/wants to start something new. Wants to handle things in a new way and that Uranian sextile is also supportive of this. Let's not retreat into our shell with our feelings hurt. Detach and move on. We aren't a child anymore.
This is also the day the Moon in Leo, the Sun's sign, squares the Sun at 7 degrees Taurus. This is a disruption to our Taurus focus, but a needed one. Maybe we need to come up for air and have some fun. Maybe we need to take some kind of risk /do something that gets attention. Maybe we need to take pride in where we are/how far we have come. There can be a need for some drama. Happening at the same time as the Mars/Chiron brings us into tricky territory. Follow your heart with this one.
On SATURDAY, Mars sextile to Uranus is exact now. This is Cancer/Taurus at 18 degrees. New actions. Restlessness. A need for freedom/liberation. WE ARE MOVING FORWARD.
