Maybe one of the biggest weeks of the year and we close it out with arguably the year's biggest ECLIPSE.
Let's dive right in!
MONDAY - Venus sextiles Mars, Mercury sextiles Juno
TUESDAY - Mars opposes Chiron, Venus trines Chiron
WEDNESDAY - Mercury opposes Saturn
THURSDAY - Mercury enters Libra and opposes Neptune
FRIDAY - Mercury trines Uranus and Pluto, Venus enters Virgo
SATURDAY - Venus squares Uranus
SUNDAY - New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo (second Virgo New Moon/29th degree)
Whew! What a week - prepare to be busy with lots of communications and information. The week ends with the BIG New Moon Solar Eclipse opposing Saturn that is already popping off.
OK, here we go.
On MONDAY (maybe read Monday and Tuesday together) - Venus and Mars in fire and air, can stir up a DESIRE FOR CONNECTION. Mars is answering to Venus, so collaborations/ROMANCE can bloom and flow. This is FERTILE GROUND for working together on creative projects and to put ourselves out there socially.
And with Mercury, strong in Virgo sextiling Juno (partnerships, power relationships) in Scorpio at the same time - this is a good day for day-to-day communications to go DEEPER and really get to the heart of what matters. Note - the Venus/Mars sextile is the waning sextile that follows their opposition back in the middle of December 2024 (in Aquarius and Leo), so this might be about using what we learned in December when we had that divide. Now we have the opportunity between creativity/our heart and partnership/balance which should/could bring a more cooperative phase especially if we have been doing the work between December and now.
Your individual energies could possibly countermand some of this - but collectively speaking the day looks GOOD. Connecting, encouraging and full of POSSIBILITY.
On TUESDAY - With Mars opposing Chiron while Venus simultaneously trines him, we’re reminded that connection isn’t without its challenges. There is no free ride.
Mars may poke at old wounds (in Libra, maybe relationship wounds), especially around how we assert ourselves, BUT Venus provides the healing touch - offering opportunities for compassion, creativity, and relationships that support our connection with our heart/need for appreciation and attention. The tension here - Mars opposed Chiron - isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s the kind of friction that shows us where we hurt, while also bringing in the people and experiences that can help us heal. The way through the Mars/Chiron is the Venus/Chiron - the Leo/our Leo house. By following our heart, expressing ourselves boldly, standing tall in our creative light, and softening into the vulnerability/weakness.
EXAMPLES - someone told me I need more examples and less astro babble, so here goes :)
Let's say you avoid speaking up in a relationship because you’re afraid of rejection or of “rocking the boat.” With Mars opposite Chiron, some situation happens that stirs up that fear of conflict and it will hurt. Chiron is about very old wounds and Mars acts like a trigger. But the Venus trine Chiron energy happening at the same time encourages you to share from the heart instead of simmering or lashing out, so maybe you tell the other person, “Look, I really need to feel appreciated for what I do.” etc. By being honest (even if it makes you feel more vulnerable) and expressing it through Venus/Leo/the heart, you open the door to healing. You get 'what you need' on the table/are more authentic and also create a deeper sense of intimacy.
OR if this is playing out with a friend - a friend's comment stings, because it is about something you are already sensitive about. Mars/Chiron wants to react defensively. But leaning into Venus trine Chiron, you open up and maybe say something like, “actually, that touches on something I’ve been working through.” Instead of conflict, the moment deepens your connection with the other person, and you personally get strength through that vulnerability.
OR at work this might play out like you hesitate to say your idea within a group project because you are afraid it will be shot down. Mars/Chiron shows up with a situation that highlights this insecurity. But you take the Venus/Chiron route (Venus in proud and brave Leo) and present your idea with confidence and creativity anyway. Even if it isn’t used just exactly as is, your willingness to share can inspire others and earn respect.
You get the idea - Mars/Chiron triggers the wound, Venus can provide a way through. And the Venus/Chiron is a trine/brakes off/wants to happen, it won't take a herculean effort on our part. Speak and act from your heart. Don't be afraid to stand out even if you fear a face plant.
WEDNESDAY - here is where Mercury in Virgo finally catches up to and opposes Saturn retrograde at the end of Pisces. Old rules, old limits, old responsibilities are kind of 'standing in our way'. This is a red light. A STOP. Mercury has been flying through his/her home sign of Virgo looking for problems to fix, messes to clean up and situations to be sorted out. His opposition to Saturn now can bring DELAYS AND REALITY CHECKS. For some there could be sobering health or work news. Saturn in Pisces can remind us that not everything can be solved by logic, hard work, or a quick solution.
Mercury opposite Saturn can bring critical words, tough results, and sometimes a formal ending. With Virgo in the mix, the critique cuts deeper and the focus is more often on what’s wrong rather than what’s working. If this is hitting our chart we might feel nailed to the wall by facts, corrections, or limits.
This aspect speaks in the language of NO - it is frustrating, but undeniable.
The gift lies in the clarity Saturn brings, even moving backward through Pisces. The crucial detail stands out, the message is stripped to its essence, and distractions vanish. It may sting, but there’s relief in knowing exactly where we stand and what comes next. Saturn reminds us that time is finite. This opposition signals a deadline, an expiration, or a moment of reckoning - it’s time to answer, commit, or LET GO.
Virgo/Pisces is the polarity of what's measurable and fixable vs what's nebulous, karmic, hidden/beyond our control. We might have to accept that not every mess can be cleaned up overnight or maybe at all.
And that some things must be met with - remember the North Node/way forward is in PISCES - patience, compassion, trust in a higher power/bigger picture/those larger hands than ours that have the wheel right now. Blocks with Saturn retrograde can show us 'bad timing'. 'Not now' doesn't always mean 'not ever'. It might just mean 'not now'.
Take Saturn's gift for what it gives us this week - CLARITY about our priorities, discipline with our routine and language, and PATIENCE WITH THE PROCESS. Mercury can't beat Saturn plus our work or health (Virgo) will be better when our base/structure is secure.
THURSDAY - Mercury enters Libra and opposes Neptune.
After his/her sobering opposition to Saturn in Pisces, Mercury leaves Virgo’s detail-oriented home soil and steps into Libra’s air. A more relational, balanced, and harmony-seeking space. It’s as if we’ve been troubleshooting and perfecting (Virgo), hit the wall with Saturn’s limits and now Mercury says, "OK dudes, let’s talk it out, let’s negotiate, let’s find some middle ground."
The catch here is that Mercury is now opposing Neptune who is retrograde in Aries.
Conversations, decisions, or agreements may feel slippery. Words are hard to pin down. Neptune brings fog, confusion, wishful thinking, or projection. The facts may not line up neatly, or people may hear what they want to hear. With Neptune retrograde, this could echo old patterns of miscommunication, blurred boundaries, or false promises. This is tricky territory for truth, so just know that going in.
FRIDAY - Now, Mercury is trining Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini!
And then Venus moves into Virgo and starts answering to Mercury and he starts answering to her! WTH people! So, JUST THIS WEEK (and he/she rules the Solar Eclipse at the end of the week, so what we do with the news, information and conversations this week are MEGA-IMPORTANT) - Mercury sextiles Juno, opposes Saturn, leaves his home sign of Virgo for Libra, starts answering to Venus, opposes Neptune, trines Pluto, trines Uranus and then Venus moves into Virgo and we get a mutual reception between these two planets!!
Mercury is boosted by flowing trines to Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini which form a GRAND AIR TRINE. The “brakes are off”. Radical ideas, truth-telling, breakthroughs in thinking, and sudden flashes of insight. Pluto adds depth and intensity. Conversations can cut right to the core, revealing power dynamics or hidden truths. Uranus adds brilliance, innovation, and the courage to say the thing that breaks a stale pattern. Now keep in mind trines are smooth aspects - things fall into place and with that opposition to Neptune (and Saturn still in play) - we are going to have to NOTICE what is falling into place!
Maybe there is a conversation or decision or information that starts off foggy/confusing - people aren’t clear, the facts don’t line up, expectations are unrealistic, people can be disappointing - remember oppositions are PROJECTIONS and with Neptune we can be seeing what we want to see. But the trines tell us that if we stay with the process, empowering breakthroughs are possible, even QUICKLY. A surprising idea, a deep truth, or a radical perspective could suddenly shift the whole picture.
Neptune, forming the focal point of a Kite from that Grand Air Trine could mean the fog, lie, dream, delusion, disappointment, ideal, what's been hidden or what we have been avoiding is the impetus into greater connection/balance, empowerment, liberation and enlightenment. This is a BIG DEAL - I can't overstate this happening as the Moon is moving through Virgo, answering to Mercury and applying to the Eclipse!
SATURDAY - now Venus in Virgo is squaring Uranus in Gemini. Keep in mind Venus in Virgo is answering to Mercury in Libra. This allows Venus to get home to Libra through Virgo - so by being practical and organized and efficient AND it allows Mercury to get home to Virgo through Libra - so by being more kind, diplomatic, balanced or cooperative. And we have Uranus in Gemini answering to Mercury, so both Venus and Uranus are answering to Mercury in Libra as they square each other. Whew! That was a mouthful.
Venus's square to Uranus can rattle relationships, values, money, and resources.
Venus in Virgo wants things tidy, useful, practical, and efficient. Uranus in Gemini is like - let’s shake this sh*t up, try something new, break out of the routine. The square between them is disruptive energy and brings tension/frustration through sudden changes in relationships or finances or maybe a feeling of restlessness with “the same old way".
SUNDAY - so here is the MEGA Virgo Solar Eclipse New Moon - the SECOND CHANCE Virgo New Moon of 2025 and it comes with its own opposition to Saturn!
Remember, Mercury the ruler of Virgo opposed Saturn earlier in the week, so after all Mercury's machinations this week, here we are back where we started with this New Moon!
This will have its own BIG post. Something really wants to stop us/bring something to an END.
BOTTOM LINE - Can I bottom line this week?! It's very freaking complicated and everything is kind of happening at the same time and we are in an Eclipse portal! WTH, but here goes - the week starts with sparks of connection and creativity as Venus and Mars open doors for romance and collaboration. But by Tuesday, Mars stirs old wounds even as Venus offers healing through heart-centered courage. Midweek brings Mercury’s clash with Saturn and Neptune - reality checks AND confusion - before Friday’s Grand Air Trine cuts through with breakthroughs and clarity. The weekend shakes up love, money, or values (Venus square Uranus) and ends with a powerful Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse, demanding that we integrate Saturn’s lessons and step into a clearer new chapter defined by what was previously hidden or avoided.
I did an astrology talk on Charlie Kirk for an astro group - the astrology is amazing and pulls us back to 'time runs out 2020'. I will write that up and get that plus the Eclipse post up this week.
I hope something here is helpful. Please excuse any typos or nonsense :)
