We're officially entering Eclipse season!
Timelines twist, unexpected detours emerge and fate steps in to stir the pot. Keep your feet on the ground folks and stay flexible!
MONDAY - Saturn retrograde enters Pisces
TUESDAY - Mercury enters Virgo
WEDNESDAY - Mercury squares Uranus, Jupiter trines the North Node
THURSDAY - Mars squares Jupiter
SATURDAY - Uranus stations retrograde
SUNDAY - FULL MOON TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE IN PISCES
MONDAY - Saturn, hanging out with Neptune (and Borasisi) in the very beginning of Aries - the beginning of the beginning - now returns to Pisces. 29 degrees Pisces; the end of the end. Maybe something that started since Saturn entered Aries last May either stalls, stops or turns around. "The responsibility we weren't ready for" gets held up somehow. Maybe over time it morphs/dissolves. Sometimes, conversely, the things we have been avoiding - those boogeymen in the closet - bring the reality check and need to be seen and dealt with. Pisces is the natural sign of the 12th house and from our natural perch in the 1st it is hard to see what is back there.
It holds our BLINDSPOTS.
From Aries to Pisces, we go back to GET A BETTER ENDING - remember the inner planets did that earlier this year and now it is Saturn's turn. Maybe to allow the New World that is being built to carry the least amount of cosmic baggage. Maybe because there is something we left back there that we are going to need LATER. From now, and until Saturn gets back into Aries in February 2026, we are in the "re-evaluation" period of the structure of this thing. Saturn rules authority, goals, hierarchy, fathers, careers, reputations.
With Saturn at 29 degrees Pisces and with the North Node of Fate in Pisces at the same time - endings are karmic/fated (this doesn't mean written in stone, but certain situations will likely play out in ways that are out of our hands).
For now, for all of us, there are loose ends to be tied up.
We can expect - old stories that have not quite run their course to come back around. Healings to happen. Sacrifices to be made. In general Pisces themes include the past/what has already happened, sometimes very old things we have lost track of including past life storylines as well as ancestral. We can find ourselves dealing with making smart and responsible decisions about how we manage our downtime and need to rest, our addictions/escape mechanisms, how we approach spirituality and offer compassion.
We will talk more about this in the second part of the Saturn/Neptune posts. The first one is HERE.
BOTTOM LINE - Saturn retrograde at the final degree of Pisces takes us back - spiritually, emotionally, karmically. Endings now have depth and weight. They ask something of us. We may feel like something slipped through our fingers or that we've returned to a story we thought was over. This is not punishment but designed to lighten our load in the future. We are going back to get a BETTER ENDING.
TUESDAY - Mercury enters Virgo his/her home sign. After swimming in the emotional waters of Cancer and then getting burnt out going back and forth in fiery Leo - damn the DRAMA - Mercury finally comes home to Virgo!
This is good news for Virgos and Geminis (Sun and Risings), but all of our natal Virgo houses will benefit. Just keep in mind Mercury moves right into that square with Uranus (the unexpected disruption) that the Sun/Moon were dealing with at that first Virgo New Moon!
With Mercury in Virgo, our thinking, writing and communication will be more practical and commonsense. We will be all about the details. Nothing gets by Mercury in Virgo. But lots of things get dismissed. If it's not real/not factually stated/if it doesn't work - it's outta here.
This is an excellent transit for organization, cleaning, paperwork, taking care of our health, the ins and outs of our work and daily routine, our pets. We will see all the little problems but still need to avoid nitpicking. The Leo to Virgo transit is 'creating to critiquing' and that is natural/cyclical, but with everything all of us are dealing with this year we need to be gentle with each other.
The biting criticism (that will look to us like practical advice) that is right on the tip of our tongue might need to be swallowed sometimes. Gulp.
Lists are your friend. Practical ideas, solutions and fixes can pop right into your head.
Pay attention to your language - we want to be precise now. We want to honor Mercury (trust me on this, he can cause us oodles of damage and danger when we don't). Think about what you are thinking about. Watch what you are watching. What you are reading, talking about, hearing - will matter now.
Virgo rules our digestion - what we put in will be what we get out and impact how well we can function.
Notice how you verbally get in your own way - use unnecessary negative words (like saying something "isn't bad" when you mean it is good). Notice double speak, babble, gas-lighting, lies, gossip. Avoid that "sorry" thing some people say moving through life. We aren't really sorry anyway right - so why are we saying it.
Words are powerful. They are some of the most powerful tools we have to move through life on planet Earth - WORDS create our WORLD - let's not hold ourselves back by tossing around stuff we don't mean/don't want to have/don't want to be. Virgo is about practicality, pie in the sky language won't be helpful this month.
This year's transit of Mercury in Virgo will be complicated by the South Node of Fate's position here.
We can easily get lost in the details/too much information - and keep in mind the tech that is trying to SEDUCE US THROUGH PERFECTION (when there is no such thing) and looking like it is offering us enlightenment without any actual light (!) - no God/no surrender. We are the people holding the future in our hands, yes, these old, tired things that are wrinkled from too much pool water. You were perfectly designed to be right where you are during these pivotal times and opportunities will present themselves to be of use.
BOTTOM LINE - this year’s Mercury in Virgo transit has a twist because the South Node is here, too. What we think we “know” that feels comfortable because it is familiar could keep us stuck. Let go of the need to have all the answers. Embrace what works, not what’s perfect.
WEDNESDAY - first up for Mercury is this square to Uranus and we will probably feel this right out of the gate. This could be the same unexpected information the Sun/Moon were dealing with a couple weeks ago and now we are talking/thinking about it - maybe things are getting put on paper. Or maybe this is something brand new. Uranus cannot be expected. It's not his style. News around health/work/routine/pets, your natal Virgo house theme - can be DISRUPTIVE. Uranus is going to station retrograde right here in a couple days, so there is going to be plenty of time to "re-hash" this. Mercury/Uranus can bring UNEXPECTED NEWS, unexpected information, a problem, an overlooked detail.
This is also the day Jupiter, in Cancer, trines the North Node in Pisces. Home/family/security/mothering/nationalistic themes are pulling us forward. This is vision combined with intuition. Fortune favors the bold. We are willing to grow/learn. Something falls into place/into our lap that is BENEFICIAL. Seeing this as Mercury squares Uranus - the disruptive news - tells us, the jarring change can be good news or the way through the jarring news is this Jupiter/North Node.
THURSDAY - this is really all happening at the same time - Mars squares Jupiter. So, as Jupiter is trining the North Node, Mars (our action, passion, motivation, initiative) will be squaring Jupiter. Squares to Jupiter often bring tension/frustration through what GETS TOO BIG. Good news can bring up fear, too. So can opportunities that require our stretch. Mars is still debilitated in Libra, so this is about balance and contracts and our one-on-one relationships. Maybe we are getting in our own way somehow? Maybe this is someone else that is over-doing/skipping steps? Or maybe this expansion of the energy we apply to home/family/real estate/home or family business/mothering - the Cancer expansion - is triggering relationship stress.
BOTTOM LINE - keep in mind we are dealing with TWO squares - Mercury/Uranus (jarring news) and Mars/Jupiter (overdoing) and the way forward is that Jupiter/North Node trine - the combination of wisdom and intuition that is naturally pulling things into place and lining us up with the best future.
If it feels like too much too fast - pause. Take a breath before overcommitting. Don’t let one overzealous move derail steady progress.
SATURDAY - Now, Uranus stations retrograde - changes are postponed/become an inside job. Sometimes I find when Uranus goes retro, what has changed becomes INTENSIFIED as we have to deal with the ramifications. The world has changed and now we have to ADJUST. And outer changes get edited/re-sorted. Uranus hasn't stationed retrograde in Gemini in decades. He will be back in Taurus on November 7th - so the shake-ups to our values, money, resources and self-esteem are not quite over.
BOTTOM LINE - Uranus retrograde can make our nervous system feel like it’s running a software update in the background, probably because it is. Slow down. Sleep - hopefully this will become less challenging! Let your system recalibrate.
SUNDAY - as the Moon in Pisces opposes the Virgo Sun we get the FULL MOON PISCES LUNAR ECLIPSE at 15 degrees Pisces. This will have its own post, but looks good at first glance because we know Jupiter is near the middle of Cancer and so this Full Moon will be trining beneficial/expansive Jupiter.
Notice your dreams this week and next. Write them down.
I will unpack the Eclipse in the next post and then we'll get back to the big-picture or maybe vice-versa! I hope something here is helpful.
xo all
