I am late. Let's dive right in and unpack the week!
MONDAY - Mercury opposes Pallas and sextiles Jupiter, Jupiter trines Pallas
TUESDAY - Sun enters Libra/Equinox
FRIDAY - Sun opposes Neptune retro
SATURDAY - ARIES FULL MOON, Sun trines Pluto
SUNDAY - Mars squares Chiron, Mars enters Leo
MONDAY - Sun trines Uranus
MONDAY - See post HERE. Mercury opposes Pallas and sextiles Jupiter. Mercury is trying to be polite/cooperative and Pallas wants to WIN (or what I should really say here is she wants to find the strategy that will produce the desired outcome). Peace or objective? The way through whatever this is, is Jupiter who gives us some kind of chance to do BOTH. Mercury through the sextile and Pallas the trine. Jupiter pushes us to expand/be generous/optimistic. To remember our PURPOSE. he is in Leo where we need to be brave/use our heart. Whatever Pallas's strategy is in Aries - to start, to take action, to be first - works well with Jupiter/Leo, so something is falling into place. Mercury/the polite words/the peace-making requires a bit more effort but also gets the OPPORTUNITY. Have faith/stretch yourself. This can also speak of good news/news we can use. Information that is purposeful and likely optimistic.
TUESDAY - Sun enters Libra (8:05 pm EDT). The Autumn Equinox is the point where the soul stops asserting the self, let's call that the 'the Aries project', and starts learning it through the mirror of the other. Light and dark are equal today, and from here the dark gains ground. This ingress asks what we've been building in order to be seen and what only reveals itself in relationship. Libra is the season concerned with those pesky other people, cooperation, balance and the question of how we exist alongside someone else. This is the time of harvest and Libra is the sign of Lady Justice/the scales. We get what we have worked for/attracted - what balances things out.
FRIDAY - the Sun opposes Neptune retro. This is the week's PRESSURE POINT. The Sun in Libra runs into Neptune. That can make the very thing we're trying to bring into balance difficult to see clearly. What do I want? What does the other person want? What am I imagining, hoping for or projecting onto the situation? Sun/Neptune can dissolve certainty. The opposition can bring a DISSOLVING ENDING. And Neptune is in Aries, the first sign, dissolving our edges just at the moment we try to form them. With the Sun in Libra, the question becomes how much of the self we can afford to dissolve in relationship before we disappear (!) and how much we're still defending against being dissolved at all. SATURDAY - Sun trines Pluto Retro, ARIES FULL MOON at 3-degrees Aries - The Sun's follow-up trine to Pluto gives us something much more solid to work with. What was vague can become consequential. We may see where the real power lies in a situation, what has changed beneath the surface or what can no longer be maintained simply because we have been maintaining it. Pluto retrograde gives our conscious will easy access to the underworld. Nothing has to be forced open - trines are smooth flow - and the retrograde keeps the material private. What was handed to the group, or maybe to some collective ideal, comes back for re-claiming. This is also the day of the ARIES FULL MOON - which will have its own post - again, we are in the energy of - NOW THAT YOU SEE IT WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT. The Full Moon activates the air trine, turning an idea into a decision, a realization into an action or a possibility into a change. I think I like that Uranus is involved. This isn't necessarily about forcing something to happen. It can be about recognizing that something has already happened - and allowing our response to catch up. But I haven't unpacked this yet, so we will see what we see in the next post :) NOTE - we get the Aries Full Moon with Mars at the very end of Cancer and squaring Chiron! THE FULL MOON WILL HAVE ITS OWN POST.
SUNDAY - Mars squares Chiron (retro in Aries) and enters Leo
Mars in Cancer squares Chiron with both stressed out at the 29th degree where things feel like 'it's now or never'. Hail Mary style plays are infamous here. Sometimes they even work. And keep in mind Mars often triggers early, maybe a couple days early, so we might be feeling this around Friday.
This is the final Mars in Cancer/Chiron in Aries square in our lifetime. Pain from the past. Our wounded child. When Chiron is activated, THERE IS NO SAFE SPACE. And with Chiron retrograde and Mars squaring from Cancer ie memory/home/roots/BELONGING - the instinct to protect ourselves is running directly into the old wound around whether we were protected!
And because Mars is the planet making the contact, Chiron isn't asking for endless reflection. Mars demands a RESPONSE.
We don't/can't heal this by going back and making the old place safe. We heal by becoming someone who can act on our own behalf. The wound may have taught us something like - "If I stand out, I will be punished. If I assert myself, I will become the problem. If I am different, I will be excluded." We have to deal with this. And then slam-bam Mars immediately enters Leo. And Mars in Leo asks - what if being visible is not the problem?
Chiron - you were hurt here.
Cancer - a long time ago.
Mars - respond.
Aries - claim the right to act.
Leo - claim the right to be yourself.
Jupiter - now ask what you want to create with that freedom (Jupiter now answering to Mars via the Sun in Libra answering to Venus in Scorpio)

What becomes possible when we stop spending so much energy managing our own disappearance?
Then Mars entering Leo says - PUT SOME LIFE BEHIND IT! Leo is personal, expressive, creative and visible. Mars here wants to do something with what we've discovered. It can bring more courage to act from the heart, but also more sensitivity around pride, recognition and being seen. Mars in Leo is about heart-centered action (royal action/we go after what we want) - the things we do that get us appreciation and attention and there is something about this 'way of action' that is wanting to be RE-INVENTED early next year because Mars is going to go retrograde in Virgo and then get back into Leo then. For now, though we are still walking new /fresh degrees that will NOT be repeating. Leo is the sign of royalty. When Mars retrogrades in Leo in 2027, kings go back to their roots. Kings go home. Kings turn around. Our Leo house AND our natal Sun placement is where we carry our own crown. The Sun/king doesn't go retrograde. The Sun/king doesn't get to turn around. Mars retrograde in Leo is the closest thing we ever get to a solar re-do/solar retrograde. It's my career house so stresses me out, but Mars/Leo retrogrades can be very useful. For now - Mars in Leo will move things forward that might have gotten mired down in emotion or memory with Mars in Cancer.
MONDAY - Sun trines Uranus retrograde - this completes the Grand Air Trine that we will unpack in the Aries Full Moon post. A mental shift brings relief, BUT the reframe only becomes available once we've been through the Neptunian dissolving and the Plutonian digging.
This suggests that once we allow ourselves to respond differently, something opens up that wasn't available before.
