Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn | July 16, 2019 - karmic chickens coming home to roost, secrets exposed, releasing grief, releasing old and deep fears, who's got the power, a good job can't hug you back, the death of the McMansion

On Tuesday, July 16th the Capricorn Moon opposes the Cancer Sun at 24 degrees giving us this month's Full Moon - happening conjunct the Moon's Nodes (Capricorn/Cancer) gives us a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (partial).

Full Moons bring energy to a "peak"; to a culmination, maybe to an ending. Eclipses eclipse something out. We get a cosmic reset, much like a computer being turned off and back on and the program that uploads at restart is a little bit (or quite a lot) different than the one we ran on before.

Eclipses change us, and we, (vibrating differently), change our circumstances by attracting or repelling what our new self lines up with.

If you have planets or points on or near 24 degrees Capricorn/Cancer the area of your life impacted will look very, very different over the next six months (or the area of life ruled by the ruler of that sign/point).

With the Moon conjunct Pluto (and widely conjunct the South Node and Saturn) and the Lunar Eclipse energy amplifying something that's already amplified AND setting up the big January 2020 energies and Eclipses - this is BIG. We had an Eclipse conjunct this degree in mid-July 2000. Some people will see similar themes activated now.

Let's unpack the chart.

Mars is past his square to Uranus, but the square is still active. So here is the potential for fast change. He is approaching his trine to Jupiter, so things can get bigger/more expansive quickly. Whatever this is it pushes us into new territory. Venus (in Cancer) is exactly opposing Saturn (in Capricorn). This is important. Remember we had Mercury and Mars do this and now it is Venus's turn as she moves through Cancer and begins to oppose the karmic pile-up in Capricorn of the South Node, Saturn and Pluto. Eris is exactly square the Sun and the Moon (!), so this is disruptive. The North Node is trine Neptune and Venus is approaching her own trine to Neptune.

The ONLY air in the chart - no wonder we can't think straight or make a decision - is Pallas in Libra. Yes, Pallas is STILL in Libra! Relationship patterns. Relationship strategies. With Pallas squaring the Moon/Sun something needs to CHANGE. Squares to the nodes speak of a skipped step. We can't go any further without this ADJUSTMENT. In Libra, even wise-warrior Pallas can get indecisive and with Pallas exactly squaring a retrograde Saturn at the time of the Eclipse - relationship commitments from the past are likely part of the Eclipse story.

The Full Moon conjunct Pluto could bring secrets into the open; the truth to light.

Pluto is retrograde - something from the past needs to end/die. We either transform/clean up the mess or the tower falls. And I am not saying "or" as if we have a say in the matter. We probably don't. If the base is rotted the structure collapses. Capricorn endings could just as easily be the end of a limit/restraint/rule/commitment/authority. An earth sign - the ending could be a physical thing although the greatness of its impact might only be felt in hindsight.

The theme of our natal Capricorn house - the theme that is in play through at least the beginning of 2020 in our life gets a major reshuffling. Pluto is ultimate energy - absolute light (honesty), absolute darkness. Power. Control. Loss of power. Loss of control.

With the Moon conjunct Pluto situations might feel like life and death. Sometimes because they are. But most likely because a part of us is dying. Outgrown Capricornian identities are being shed. Rules. Limits. Bye-bye. Moon/Pluto and then that square to Eris may speak of powerful feelings/situations around women.

With Venus exactly opposing Saturn - what we want/love/value comes with a hefty price tag. Commitments. Responsibilities. We talked about this last week. The fast change (Mars/Uranus) coming at a cost. She is almost close enough to the Sun to be blown out (combust), but I think an exact opposition to Capricorn's ruler at the time of an Eclipse keeps her in the game. With Venus about to trine Neptune and conjunct the North Node and with Saturn trining Neptune - we have magical, spiritual assistance here to make this whole thing work out. We just have to let go of the old dead thing. We have to clean up the mess. We have to polish off that old commitment.

If we are stepping into a new commitment/responsibility now - it won't be easy. That Saturn opposition to what we want means work.

(many wealthy, successful people have challenging Venus/Saturn aspects in their natal charts - Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Oprah - facing powerful old-school opposition/the way things have always been done - it's worked for them, it can work for us, too)

The trines to Neptune and aspects to the North Node (plus 2019's Neptune sextile Saturn - we won't have this one forever!) speak of powerful forces moving us in a new direction because the stuff behind us - the ground that used to be beneath our feet - isn't even there anymore! We are counting on structures and abiding by rules that don't even exist. Those timelines are finished.

Neptune forces development of deeper values through sacrifices and a sense of loss/grief. Sometimes with Neptune things can mysteriously vanish (like my first post!) and the more we shut out any recognition of our spiritual gifts the more we become overly concerned with protecting all that we own as exclusively ours - the more screwed up everything gets and the more scared we feel as things dissolve. What is really happening is our unlimited energy is trapped.

So, HERE, this eclipse is where the trap door gets opened.

We won't likely be dropped onto a bed of feathers because then we would never get up and the point of everything is to KEEP GOING. It's unlikely to be a bed of nails either. Keep in mind those intense Moon/Pluto emotions that stimulate our body to feel every cataclysm/death we (including our past lives and the ancestral DNA that we carry) have ever suffered.

It will all be OK in the end.

Eclipse events are fated - whatever impact we have before or after is probably out of our hands now. The facts must be dealt with. This stuff will play out over the next 6 months.

At its core this is a Cancer/Capricorn Full Moon with the North Node in home and family focused Cancer - see my Nodes posts HERE for more on that. The old structures that are no longer "home" MUST change.

Where I live in Central New Jersey they build these mega-houses we call McMansions. Big house. Little bitty piece of land. Back when my mom lived with us, the year leading up to her death, the nurse who visited us told me how she often went into these houses and they were mostly empty. Which sounded sad, but almost made sense to me, because what the hell do you do with all those rooms and those mega-entryways and sky-high ceilings (not to mention the upkeep costs interfering with someone's ability to buy furniture). The McMansion - is a perfect representation of the kind of shallow, Capricorny thing that is ending. We all have a McMansion somewhere in our life ... the shallow, empty space that is self-destructing as we move toward a more authentic space.

The problem is it might not feel like a shallow empty thing - it might feel like the thing that is holding us up. It isn't. The completion/ending is inevitable. This sense of doom and gloom that is out of proportion to the situation is us being triggered by our history (or our past lives/ancestor's history that we carry).

If it feels like the sky is falling, take a walk outside.

It is probably still up there.

We are actually stepping into a more powerful position as we work through these power struggles through the end of 2019. We are working our piece of the puzzle that moves the collective into the New Age. There is no way we can get this wrong.

To sum it all up - this is a major ending/culmination/beginning WITH some Plutonian deep truth dug up and brought into the light. We see the man behind the curtain or maybe why we do what we do because we are the man behind the curtain. Relationship power dynamics will play a part as well as our Cappy/Cancer house themes or the collective themes of our life in the world, being hard-headed vs home/family, being soft-hearted. We move toward something more authentic and VALUABLE.

Note this intense and possibly destructive Eclipse is followed a couple days later by some soothing, forward-leaning Venus aspects. So whatever ends/changes it is likely our attention quickly moves to what's next.

Weekly and Full Moon Eclipse Posts are coming ... Today's Astrology Forecast 7/15/2019

https://www.deviantart.com/friday-forever/art/to-disappear-297873231

The Weekly and Eclipse post I wrote on Sunday has vanished - so funny/#notfunny it included the word "vanish".

Note to self - nix the word vanish and toss in the words "lottery winner" during the re-write.

I will get it reposted today. It's HUGE.

In the meantime here is our weekly heads up list and a forecast for MONDAY.

TUESDAY - Lunar Eclipse Full Moon conjunct Pluto, Venus opposes Saturn
THURSDAY - Venus trines Neptune and conjuncts North Node
FRIDAY - Mercury retrograde moves back into Cancer
SATURDAY - Mercury (retrograde) conjuncts the Sun
SUNDAY - Venus opposes Pluto

On MONDAY the Moon is moving through sober Capricorn on her way to oppose the Cancer Sun and conjunct the South Node (and Pluto!) early tomorrow evening EDT and bring us the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn.

Her only aspect is a liberating and future-leaning trine to Uranus (in Taurus). Change is good. The Moon in Capricorn means we are nurtured by being goal-focused, having our crap together and making PROGRESS, so keep moving. Knowing an intense Eclipse with Pluto is coming would make this a good day for purging, de-cluttering, clearing space and getting more emotionally settled.

xo all - back after shipping and banging my head onto my desk a few times with the NEW POST.

Today's Astrology Forecast | July 13, 2019 - the gold nuggets we missed the first time, an adventure, a need to look under the hood, plan a healthy escape tonight, all day void Moon tomorrow so get some rest before the Eclipse

https://www.deviantart.com/anyaanti/art/Last-flight-672116526

The Moon in Sagittarius will trine Mars at 9:30AM EDT, conjunct Sag ruler Jupiter (retrograde) at 4:10PM EDT and go void at 9:30PM EDT off a square Neptune (retrograde). She will then be Void until Sunday evening (7:04PM EDT when she moves into serious Capricorn).

The trine (brakes off) between our adventurous Sagittarius Moon and Mars (in Leo) speaks of enthusiastic action, fun with children (or our inner child), stepping outside our comfort zone - taking a risk. Then she hooks up with Jupiter (retrograde in Sag) - maybe a previous opportunity - some potential gold we never mined - is back on our radar.

The Moon in Sag can make us more optimistic this time around, but since this lunar day will end with a square to confusing Neptune we might only be able to take this thing so far before that Neptunian tension/frustration kicks in tonight - we are tired, things too dreamy and impractical, our intuition less sharp, the facts get fuzzy, we are overly sensitive - our enthusiasm dissolves. Seek a healthy escape from reality tonight.

Tonight/tomorrow we stop pushing. We are letting things flow. Expect time to be stretchy.

We also have Venus (in caring for what we value) Cancer semi-squaring Sedna. We talked about Sedna during the Full Moon in May. Semi-squares are like baby squares - they might represent an intuition about a future square (tension/frustration) - like a little warning. Sedna is where we get into trouble when we can't see something is too good to be true. When we don't want to look under the hood. The square to Venus in Cancer makes me think of a  purchase for our home (maybe something we are considering now) that might not work out the way we are expecting. Maybe we order something on super-sale and think we are getting a bargain, but then it doesn't do what we need it to do.

There are millions of ways this energy could play out.

Sedna is in Taurus, so answering to Venus and Venus is in Cancer so answering to the Moon - all the lunar stuff we just talked about.

So, some potential future tension may factor in to today's events. Take this as a little heads up to be prepared - this isn't a stop sign, but a flashing light off in the distance we are able to sort of/kind of see. We might end up there and we might not.

What we are investing our time/attention/resources/money into now should be given a second look (Mercury, and just about everything else is retrograde so things are getting a second look anyway) if it seems too good to be true/too EASY.

Note - the Moon will be Void on Sunday until she moves into Capricorn at 7:04PM EDT and we start to build toward Tuesday's Lunar Eclipse Full Moon! So rest on Sunday because Sunday night we are back in the saddle folks!

Today's Astrology Forecast | July 11th, 2019 - a whole lot of water, shake ups and break-ups, keep a cool head but keep your head out of the sand, bold independent action is healing, fast change that gets attention, we've been here before

https://www.deviantart.com/fly10/art/Underwater-fairy-438797513

The big news today is we have Mars (in Leo) squaring Uranus (in Taurus).

Fuses can be short. Impulsive actions are possible. This is EXACTLY the kind of energetic you want if you need to make a bold move that shakes things up. Do you need to shake things up?

Uranus is about break-throughs and break-downs and break-ups that push us into the future. With Mars in Leo seeking attention and wanting what it wants (hopefully heart-filled desires and not just a gamble/thrill/applause) and keeping in mind Mercury is retrograde and we are between two powerful kick-ass eclipses - the most powerful still to come - volatile situations will require extra caution.

The Moon in Scorpio (answering to Pluto now, co-ruler of Mars) is going to sextile Saturn, trine Neptune, trine the Sun and go void at 8:28PM EDT off a sextile to Pluto - all harmonious aspects!

With the Cancer Sun (plus North Node!) trining the Scorpio Moon and trining a retrograde Neptune in Pisces - we have a Grand Water Trine forming for a few hours this afternoon (around noon EDT through 3:30 PM). If you have planets or points around 17-19 degrees of the water signs you will best be able to take advantage of this. Flow. Less resistance. Mostly this is good. The Moon is waxing - this is about growth. No boundaries. You take your creative vision to the bank - ka' ching.

The fly in the ointment with the Grand Water Trine is a potential tendency here to feel an exaggerated need for dependency/mothering or we psychologically isolate ourselves from the harsher aspects of reality (we spoke about this in the weekly and yesterday - about the need for caution, but also the need not to stick our head in the sand and pretend nothing is happening - the water will drown us now).

This is alot of WATER. And alot of water is very powerful. How big do you want/need this thing to be?

The best news - the Grand Water Trine is forming a Kite aspect with Saturn/South Node (in Capricorn - always this year pulling us back to that Capricorn house and our natal Capricorn house theme). They are opposing the Sun/North Node and sextiling the Moon and Neptune. Three trines, two sextiles and one opposition. So, yes, now we have sober Saturn stabilizing/limiting the whole thing. But also making it REAL. Making us less likely to drift into lalaland with all this water. We have focus. And yes, it also brings up responsibilities/commitments/limits and with the South Node here and Saturn retrograde, they likely have a connection to the past.

We've been here before.

If we take something on now - it will bring fast change and the need to live up to responsibilities/make a commitment/work with certain rules. It will also shift us (especially on the inside) in magical ways and could be very positive.

Mars MUST get past this square to Uranus. It's fast. It's jolting. Then we move on. And just before he squares Uranus he trines Chiron - so healing through bold, independent action is possible now and leads to greater liberation.

It's tricky energy (but familiar and the water in our body knows this).

We have unconscious (all that water) help now as we connect with our past, our ancestors, the angels, God - and even Saturn throws us a lifesaver. The resistance is helpful.

Compassion is needed. Forgiveness is needed. The Moon is in Scorpio sextiling Pluto - we are diving deep.

Today's Lunar Forecast | tension, power struggles, the dead won't stay buried, the cat's out of the bag, going deep, all's well that ends well, watch for synchronicities, a light is thrown on our best path forward, stepping into the light

https://www.deviantart.com/anyaanti/art/Pandora-s-box-466251807

The Moon dives into Scorpio at 5:29AM EDT - we are nurtured through Scorpian themes for the next couple days - intensity, intimacy, power, the resources we've merged with other people, other people's values, other people's money, our spouse's income, loans, debts, taxes, inheritance, sex, reproduction, death/rebirth, third party situations.

She will square Mercury and then Mars after lunch before opposing Uranus at 4:20PM EDT.

We are dealing with fixed aspects now, so we could all be more stubborn and entrenched in our position. Tension. Stress. Deep conversations. Arguments. Power struggles. It will be easy to feel pushed, push back and get into a tussle. With that Uranus opposition, the crap we have been repressing, could explode rather spectacularly at any time.

(keep in mind today's energy will feel alot like tomorrow's Mars/Uranus and Sunday's Sun/Pluto - so the whole week is pretty volatile - we will need to balance keeping a cool head (good idea) with burying our head in the sand - not so good)

Finally the Moon will trine Venus at 9:28PM EDT, so it looks like whatever is shaken and stirred today will lead to greater balance, love, beauty, self-esteem or maybe we shift toward home/family to lick our wounds.

We also have the Cancer Sun meeting the North Node at 17 degrees. We talked about this in the weekly, but let's repeat it here:

A light (Sun) is thrown on our best path forward (North Node).

It could be a bright spotlight we can't miss or maybe it's a tiny flicker that catches our eye and pulls us over to investigate a new direction.

We might receive some confirmation we are on the right path now. Or a gentle shove in a direction we hadn't before considered.

This could be in response to all the lunar/emotional challenges today - us stepping up and stating "this is where I am going."

There is also a wide trine from the Moon to Neptune today that echoes and supports our Neptunian assistance later this week and really all year. Meditate. Go for a walk. Paint. Listen to music. Dance. Show compassion. Take the higher ground. Our past/ancestors/God has our back here.

We are in-between eclipses with Mercury retrograde uncertainty is likely.

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of July 8th - changing our mind, changing our direction, passionate words, breakdowns and breakthroughs, ego drama, preventing accidents and impulsive moves, following the path home, report card time, daddy issues, a battle of wills

https://www.deviantart.com/anyaanti/art/My-universe-686056504

This is a HUGE week. AND we are in-between eclipses in the eclipse spin cycle, so anything can happen - BIG changes ahead folks, brace for impact!

SUNDAY - Mercury stations retrograde
MONDAY - Mercury retrograde conjuncts Mars, Chiron stations retrograde, Venus squares Chiron and sextiles Uranus
TUESDAY - Sun opposes Saturn
WEDNESDAY - Sun conjuncts the North Node
THURSDAY - Mars squares Uranus, Sun trines Neptune
SUNDAY - Sun opposes Pluto

We have Mercury and Chiron both stationing retrograde. With the Sun opposing both Saturn and Pluto some situation reaches THE END OF THE LINE and with the Sun conjunct the North Node - here is our future - a more authentic future that feels like it makes us more vulnerable, but is actually the only, truly safe path - CALLING US HOME.

Mars - in loud and proud and ego-driven Leo - squaring an "anything-can-happen" Uranus tells us if we have been thinking about a BIG change (following our heart) - HERE is the courageous energy to make it happen, on the other hand - HERE is also the impulsive energy to burn a bridge, damage our reputation or make a very careless (possibly hot-headed) and costly mistake.

There are multiple aspects this week, advising us to keep our EGO IN CHECK.

We might have to eat some humble pie this week - let's hope it's key lime.

Fuses will be SHORT.

The Sun (in caring Cancer) is trining Neptune (in peaceful, compassionate Neptune) at the same time - can we choose the path of the peaceful warrior? Can we bring compassion to this situation? Neptune is helping us all week - our dreams, our guides, our imagination, our ancestors.

With Mars squaring Uranus and the Sun trining Neptune maybe something/someone could threaten some action and then the situation could dissolve or maybe they (or we) might back down. But there is so much other energy around endings and beginnings, and we are in the eclipse spin cycle, it is impossible to get clear on what will happen this week!

Let's unpack the aspects/transits and take a look at some possibilities.

On SUNDAY - Mercury stations retrograde at 6 degrees Leo. She/he will move back into Cancer on July 19th, station direct on July 31st at 23 degrees Cancer and then get back to 6 degrees Leo on August 18th (squaring Uranus!) and begin covering new ground. Until then we are doing the "re's" with our early Leo, late Cancer natal house themes. With Mercury retrograding in a fire sign we are re-thinking, revising, reviewing our actions, our passions, what our heart wants, what makes us proud, maybe a collective Leo theme like a creative project, children, romance, recreation.

We are moving toward some of the biggest decisions of our life, but we aren't quite there YET. A retrograde Mercury pretty much eliminates our ability to be certain. Between now and the end of July prepare for delays, mechanical glitches, misunderstandings PLUS conversations, situations and people from the past to re-surface.

We are RE-THINKING SOMETHING.

The Moon is in Virgo today so answering to Mercury and we have this month's Waxing Sextile between the Virgo Moon and the Cancer Sun, so there is an opportunity here to improve/fix/re-examine that Cancer situation - home, family, mother, mothering, family business, home business, renovation, relocation.

MONDAY is a VERY BIG DAY.

We have Chiron stationing retrograde. So, now we have Mercury, Chiron, Saturn. Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto ALL retrograde. If we were a book, this would be a review chapter for a complicated storyline, that requires the reader get a re-fresher before proceeding while at the same time introducing new characters and immensely important new plot-lines! Whah!

Chiron (in Aries) is going back over all the hurts/healing since January.

He squares Venus (in Cancer). Our Venus themes of love, money, our values, beauty, self-esteem (and women), already emotionally felt in Cancer (wanting to feel safe) might make us feel more vulnerable now. Difficult home/family issues are stirred up. Situations can transpire to show us any lack of balance, love, beauty, money or resources in our life. Hurts will connect back to very old spaces and other times we didn't feel safe - maybe woundings through our maternal history.

At the same time something is hurting, Venus (ruler of Taurus) is sextiling (opportunity) Uranus in Taurus.

So, NEW avenues are opening up for money, resources, self-esteem, changes to our values (or our natal Taurus house theme). What do we really want? New attractions are possible now. Change is good.

A retrograde Mercury is meeting fiery Mars.

Words can be used as weapons, and will likely have their roots in old situations. Choose your battles carefully. Our language is confident (hopefully not boastful). We are thinking/re-thinking on our feet now. Fast decisions are possible. Our words and actions are working together, but with Mercury retrograde we might make a move without really thinking it through.

We could change the way we are doing something. We could change our mind about a decision. We are re-thinking our actions.

We need to choose our words carefully and we need those words to be assertive!

I said this is a BIG day, right? I think this day will wrap-up OK thanks to Venus/Uranus, but it will take some frustrations and challenges to get us to OK. We've got this thing, don't worry!

On TUESDAY, we have a big annual aspect. Once a year the Sun and Saturn line up in exact opposition and hand us a report card.

We could hear a "no", we could say "no", hit a limit, have to deal with some kind of burden. A light shines on WHY we are being blocked and what obligations remain. We are being pushed in a difficult direction.

Saturn/Sun can also limit self-expression or bring father/authority issues. The opposition comes from something outside ourselves (appears to) - the action of another person or a situation it seems we cannot control.

At the same time we can see the way our own actions/thoughts have set ourselves up here.

This energy might not feel good. Saturn can be depressing because it is quite literally like a weight pressing down on us.

I am not going to write again about the need to 'step into our responsibility', work hard, do the right thing, yada yada. We know this. And we are just as likely to get off course by stepping into someone else's responsibility, working too hard or neglecting the other muses. Saturn isn't everything and he doesn't run every show as much as he'd like to (although for today he kind of does).

We are all so busy that generally speaking our highest ideal is not to have to do anything. We work so we can take time off from working. We do it today to be free tomorrow. Something is very wrong here, but for today I am too tired (and stiff-necked - ugh) to think too long about this. Of course, with a natal Sun/Saturn conjunction I do not often encounter Saturnian limits outside myself - I am much more likely to encounter a person/situation ready to hand off their own overloaded bag to me and/or to spend my time figuring out new ways to overburden/limit/commit myself.

We can honor our commitments. We can finish what we started. We can take responsibility for the situation we find ourselves in without judgement.

And yes, this could be a good situation, too - it's report card time!

We can resolve to move forward in a more responsible manner in whatever area of life we feel this pressure. And remember that 'in a more responsible manner' will have different meanings for different people.

On WEDNESDAY, the Sun meets up with the North Node (our collective way forward) in Cancer.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so think about where the Moon sits in your natal chart and what house is ruled by Cancer. That's your sweet spot.

On THURSDAY, Mars (in Leo) squares Uranus (in Taurus).

This is tension/frustration making us more accident-prone, easier to anger and liable to take impulsive action. We are pushing for something to happen or re-acting to something that is happening.

This feels like an earthquake.

If we have been wanting to make a disruptive change, THIS is the energy to do that.

But, if we are feeling the need to make some impulsive move we have never thought about before - we might want to sit with it/think it through before we do something we might regret later. Uranus pushes for change and liberation, but won't be around to clean up the mess when we fall on our ass.

With Mars in Leo - our pride can be easily wounded now and coupled with Mercury retrograde's meeting with fiery Mars on Monday - if we are in a situation where we are taking alot of crap this could be the week we just lose it.

We want to keep a cool head, but our head shouldn't need to be buried in the sand to do that. Note to self- get a fan.

We might have to take assertive action (Mars) to be seen/respected (Leo) - just be sure you are coming from a heart-centered and not an ego-centered space.

There are two trines to help us through this. Mars is trining a recently retrograde Chiron, and the Sun is trining Neptune. With Chiron in Aries - we act self-sufficiently/stand up for ourselves in a healthy way - we heal through independent action, through courage. With the Sun (in Cancer) trining Neptune - we act with compassion, we pray for answers, we meditate for a peaceful solution. We bring our highest self to the situation - ask your guides/angels/ancestors for help!

On SUNDAY, the Sun opposes Pluto. The Sun is in Cancer, but the Sun is the ruler of Leo and our ego. So here again we have a power struggle to shine our light/to be seen. Maybe something dealing with that home/family situation. Maybe career related.

Pluto's job here is to clear the way for our solar energy (inner radiance) to emerge without letting our short-sighted ego try to run the whole show, so it could bring us a battle of wills. Powerful authorities and uncompromising situations that put us in our place. A crisis of our self-esteem. Changes might be forced upon us now. This is really a self-destructive aspect, because we are projecting our shadow onto someone else, but we might not be able to see this!

This aspect can also bring tremendous focus and extreme experiences. Secrets can be exposed.

Remember this week is leading us to a big Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn next week conjunct Pluto.

Hang on loosely everyone!

Back with the dailies and we will flesh this complicated week out as we move along and add in the Moons! Get some extra rest this week - I think we will need it.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer | July 2, 2019 - new opportunities for home and family, putting down roots, growing where we are planted, moving toward something more authentic, a new focus, a magical escape, the fly in the ointment is the unfinished business that can't be ignored, the dust won't settle until 2020

On Tuesday, July 2nd at 9:31AM EDT the Cancer Moon meets the Cancer Sun giving us this month's New Moon - happening conjunct the Moon's North Node makes this a New Moon Solar Eclipse.

Let's unpack the chart!

The aspects are mostly wide - sextile to Uranus, squares to Chiron and Pallas, a trine to Neptune, an opposition to Saturn and then there is an almost exact sextile to Vesta (in Taurus). We also have (you can't see it in this chart because the South Node isn't shown) a retrograde Saturn sitting on the South Node and opposing the North Node!

This is the first total solar eclipse since the Great American Eclipse of August 2017 - the Moon blocks the Sun and the flow of energy to planet Earth is interrupted - focusing our attention on that point. We get a cosmic reset, much like a computer being turned off and back on and the program that uploads at restart is a little bit (or quite a lot) different than the one we ran on before.

Eclipses change us, and we, (vibrating differently), change our circumstances by attracting or repelling what our new self lines up with.

Eclipse events don't often happen on the actual date of the Eclipse. One tricky thing with eclipse energy I have found from personal experience as well as other people's charts is they often work backward. The thing the eclipse is "eclipsing out" or "bringing to light" can happen days or weeks before the physical Sun is overtaken by the Moon. Often almost exactly one week or one month before (or after). Then they play out over several months.

Cancer New Moons - and this one is powered up by the Solar Eclipse - are about collective Cancer themes (so, this theme is applicable to all of us both individually and collectively and then the theme of our personal natal Cancer house will come into play, too).

Cancer rules home, family, our roots, mother, mothering, our ancestry, real estate, country, patriotism, home businesses, family businesses, the root of the matter - our emotional security - this is where we get the new beginning - the Eclipse energy makes this more potent!

With the Moon eclipsing the Sun, and opposing a retrograde Saturn conjunct the South Node(!) there is stuff from the past that still needs to be dealt with. A limit. A rule. Unfinished business. Maybe a commitment needs to end or a responsibility needs to be stepped into.

An ending/outcome - and this won't be a total surprise we already know this is coming - is going to play a big role in the (more intense) Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on July 16th.

And the two things - the more gentle beginning and the harsher ending/reality check - will be connected even if we can't see the connection (although we probably will) - even if they look like two totally unrelated things. Releasing something in one area - and yes, it can be pulled away from us - creates a more extreme focus for that Cancer house. For some people this could be about work/life balance issues, career changes, family issues, family history issues, the shifting of parenting roles or relocation/renovation issues. Also keep in mind both Pluto and Saturn, the bigwigs bringing us the ending are retrograde, so will be back at 24 degrees Capricorn (the degree of the "ending" eclipse in the middle of July) - in the fall with Saturn and in 2020 with Pluto. This transformation is BIG.

Eclipses (similar to a super charged full moon) will eclipse something out or bring something to light or alternately cover it up and then the New Moon seeding will activate the promise of any slow moving transit currently present in our life.

So we have the Solar Eclipse of July 2nd at 10 degrees Cancer - we are growing where we are planted, putting down new roots, creating a space that feels like "home", new beginnings with family/with our flock, becoming more authentic by not being afraid to be "vulnerable" - when she has outgrown her shell, the crab either gets NAKED, while she grows a new one or she DIES, and there is plenty of energy in the collective that supports "dying", so do you really want to live or not? - by being more compassionate toward others, by seeing vulnerability as a strength and not a weakness, by becoming more secure at our very base (and this includes financial security) through our own efforts. Maybe a man/masculine energy leaves.

Then we have the Lunar Eclipse of July 16th at 24 degrees Capricorn - I am not going too deeply into this one, but it DOES impact the Eclipse we have this week. Something from the past dies. We either transform/clean up the mess or the tower falls. And I am not saying "or" as if we have a say in the matter. We probably don't. If the base is rotted the structure collapses. A job could end. A business could end. The theme of your natal Capricorn house - the theme that is in play through at least the beginning of 2020 in your life gets a major reshuffling. We are releasing the need for control, nationalism (there are no national solutions anymore there are only global solutions), releasing the hold those old hero stories have on us, releasing the old rules, the responsibilities/debts that have us stuck, releasing fear of lack, letting go of dependence AND independence, stop being a whiny baby, stop being a clingy mother, releasing our worship of work and public pats on the back (let's start by getting rid of these stupid like buttons that are training us like mice in a maze). The structures/leaders we have relied on or hoped for will fail us. Maybe a woman/feminine energy leaves.

Both of these Eclipses happen the day before Venus changes signs. We could have a change of heart. A financial change. Money changes hands. Our values shift. Our self-esteem gets re-booted rooted in a more authentic and self-sustaining reality. What we see as beautiful changes. What we are attracted to shifts.

Mars will change signs within two days of each Eclipse also - so our actions change, what we do to get what we want shifts, the way we express passion/anger, what we are angry/passionate about - big shifts.

These Eclipses truly are game-changers!

This week's Eclipse takes us back to summer/fall 2001 when major Cancer/Capricorn themes were in play in your life, too. What did you have going on then? You can likely see patterns and themes connected to what you have going on now.

The New Moon in Cancer is always powerful because the Moon rules Cancer.

Factor in the North Node and we get a powerful and emotional new beginning aligned with our path forward. Saturn on the South Node will not let us forget about the past - that responsibility we still have to deal with, but there is something new here now.

The sextile (opportunity) to Vesta in Taurus will give us an instinctive ability to focus on what is most important/sacred and something NEW TO FOCUS ON! Taurus themes - our money, relationships, resources (including the planet), our values - will play a role and with Taurus ruler Venus moving into Cancer the day after the eclipse it will all pull us back into that Cancer primal need to be safe, to be nurtured, to be mothered and to mother (ourselves and others).

The trine (brakes off) to mystical, magical Neptune speaks of cosmic blessings - prayer and meditation can help activate these energies - there can be an "ease" here, aid from behind the scenes, from our ancestors, from our past, an escape hatch if we need it.

SETTING AFFIRMATIONS

This is a powerful energy to focus our intentions and make affirmations on Cancer stuff : mothers, motherhood, self-care, nurturing, home, family, real estate, home business, family business, food, breast health, stomach and digestive health, gut health, SECURITY ...

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a positive frame of mind - always make affirmations from a positive place (positive meaning both happy and certain) - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud - then release your attention from them knowing that your intention is known.

Know these things are already yours.

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of July 1st - 2019's wild card month kicks off, a change of course, delays, wanting what makes us feel safe, a new focus, powerful endings, bold action, intense and uncomfortable pressure

https://www.deviantart.com/oprisco/art/--678496310

MONDAY - Mars into Leo
TUESDAY - Solar Eclipse (total) New Moon in Cancer (10 degrees)
WEDNESDAY - Venus into Cancer
THURSDAY - Saturn conjuncts the South Node
SUNDAY - Mercury stations retrograde
MONDAY - Mars conjunct Mercury (retrograde)

This is a huge CHANGE week with all three of our personal planets changing signs or directions and a total Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Cancer PLUS Saturn on the South Node - so powerful changes, beginnings and endings. The powerful changes that have been building for some time move into the next phase.

On MONDAY - Mars finally leaves emotional Cancer for fiery Leo. Last week, Mercury entered Leo and our words/thinking/ideas got bolder. Now, Mars follows and pulls our actions and what we have to do to get what we want into new territory.

If you are a Leo Sun (or other fixed sign - Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio) this transit is going to wake you up. If you are an Aries rising or a Scorpio rising (your chart is ruled by Mars) this is going to wake you up. Everyone's natal Leo house is waking up BIG TIME!

We will all feel this one.

The great thing about Mars in Leo is that it not only provides that Martian kick off at the starting line, it also provides the Leo ability to stick with it once we get it started!

Leo is the sign of the lion - the king of the jungle. One of the best ways to understand the king of the jungle is to understand the little lions we keep in our homes - those creatures called cats.

Everyone who "owns" a cat knows what a misnomer this word is when applied to the feline species. Cats can't be "owned". We know it and they know it. It is perfectly natural for them to convey an attitude of comfortable superiority.

This energy, this "presence" is what Leo is all about.

Everyone has Leo somewhere in their natal chart - a space we are meant to feel "comfortably superior". Ruled by the Sun, this is an area of life (in addition to our Sun sign) we are meant to SHINE. We are all about to get a whole lot more shiny.

This is a great time to take action with something we are passionate about. Leo energy will not be ignored and doesn't like to wait, so if something needs to happen now - tomorrow's Eclipse will almost certainly force our hand with this.

If we need courage, if we need confidence, if we need attention - this transit will provide the fiery push to take the action we need to take. Mars will be in Leo until August 18th.

On TUESDAY - the Cancer Moon meets the Cancer Sun widely conjunct the Cancer North Node giving us a Total Solar Eclipse in Cancer (10 degrees). This is the first total solar eclipse since the "Great American Eclipse" of August 2017 and this is a New Moon - so bringing new opportunities and fresh beginnings and at the same time eclipsing something "out" of our life or out of our way.

HERE is the post about the eclipse.

On WEDNESDAY - Venus (love, money, values, resources, self-esteem, women, beauty) moves into Cancer until July 27th.

Cancer Suns and Cancer risings become more attractive - both able to attract what they want and easier on the eye. All of our Cancer houses become more attractive, too.

Venus themes will be emotionally tended to. We will require more emotional connection to feel safe and secure.

We will want (or feel the lack of) whatever feels like nurturing to us.

Home becomes a more valuable space. Family is a resource.

Our empathy increases along with our hurt feelings when we don't get what feels like "mom and apple-pie".

What we want (Venus) is to feel safe (Cancer).

The active feminine energy (Venus) connects with the responsive feminine energy (Moon). What we need (Cancer) meets what we want (Venus).

The fly in the ointment with Venus in Cancer is the kind of smothering/mothering that suffocates or we overindulge ourselves in some unhealthy way or we have an unrealistic expectation of someone else filling some childhood need. Watch for emotions that are "over-the-top" compared with what is actually happening. What are we storing that is triggering these emotions?

On THURSDAY - Saturn conjuncts the South Node at 15 degrees Capricorn. Saturn is retrograde, so this is a repeating aspect we first experienced back on April 30th. This is a MAJOR ENDING or turning point, but with Saturn retrograde this is happening slowly (we will be back here at the end of September). The clock is ticking down. This is also a time when results can come in from the work we did (or didn't do) in the past.

On SUNDAY - MERCURY STATIONS RETROGRADE. He/she stations in Leo and will move back into Cancer. We are rethinking our Leo house theme, rethinking what our heart wants, reworking our relationship to a child/children or to a creative project - expect delays, mechanical glitches, over reactions when things go wrong. People and situations from the past can re-appear. Maybe something from the past needs a second look. Read the fine print. Double check the email before hitting "send". Rushing ahead while Mercury is moving backward can trip us up, but there are powerful forces moving things forward now, so this transit will be extra tricky.

On MONDAY - (this is Monday the 8th, we are looking a little further ahead because this one is important and already in play anyway) Mars will meet up with Mercury (retrograde).

Here's where we are re-thinking our actions.

This whole thing will square Uranus so we need to be careful with impulsive decisions. BIG disruptions and battles can start with this energy, so proceed with caution. Add to this the fact we are in-between Eclipses AND this meeting is happening in fiery and ego-centered Leo makes this energy even more INTENSE. Patience and self control will be needed and in short supply. Arguments. Temper tantrums.

These planets hang close together until the middle July - this will increase our energy and focus, keep our mind and actions on the same page, but also increase the intensity and pressure. Keep in mind we need to be thinking/re-thinking things through, and yes, Mercury is retrograde, so this is challenging - think before acting - keep a cool head. We need to pick our battles carefully or we will be fighting over everything. Mars/Mercury will be trining (brakes off) Chiron so important (very deep and very old) hurting/healing is happening this month.

Be compassionate. Know that people who are over-reacting are people who are hurting. This is good energy to stand up for people (like children) who can't stand up for themselves.

July is challenging and a WILD CARD month.

The North Node in Cancer/South Node in Capricorn - the stuff that is climaxing when Saturn meets Pluto in January 2020 (Jupiter will be in Capricorn, too, by that time!) is IN PLAY big time.

The stuff we didn't do last summer, more likely the stuff we needed to let go of/change that we didn't take care of (when Mars was retrograde) will be kicking us in the ass.

If you read this blog, please read the eclipse post HERE.

This isn't about anyone else telling you what to do. You decide what you do. But knowing which way the wind is blowing and what tools may be available to you can be helpful ....

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of June 24th - too much of a good thing, disappearing love and money, hitting a limit, dropping an anchor, take care of your health, a need to adjust, speaking from our hearts and wanting an audience, change is good

SUNDAY - Venus opposes Jupiter and inconjuncts Saturn
MONDAY - Venus squares Neptune
TUESDAY - 3rd Quarter Moon Aries (Moon square Sun)
WEDNESDAY - Mercury enters Leo
THURSDAY - Sun squares Chiron and sextiles Uranus, Venus inconjuncts Pluto

On SUNDAY - and this will impact the first couple days of the work-week, we have Venus (in "I want a little of this and a little of that" Gemini) opposing "I want it all" Jupiter and inconjuncting - that rock a hard place - Saturn. With Saturn and Jupiter both retrograde this is an old situation we are working with. We could be facing some kind of temptation to take something too far and it is not compatible with the rules/boundaries. This would not be a good time to buy something if we can't afford it for example. There is some kind of reality check here (Saturn) that could keep us from over-doing the Venus/Jupiter, which is a wonderful aspect of love and abundance, but could take things too far. There is some kind of limit/anchor that slows down the hope/opportunity.

EXAMPLE FOR Scorpio/Scorpio Rising - Venus is in your 8th house of other people's resources, other people's values, intimacy, other people's money, spouse's income, loans, debts, taxes, inheritance, death, rebirth, sex, reproduction. Jupiter is in your 2nd house and Saturn in your 3rd. Venus/Jupiter could create a tendency to spend too much money, expect too much of a payout from something or give too much in an intimate relationship or take too much from someone else. Saturn in your 3rd house of communication is giving you a "no", a limit, a deadline, a contractual obligation - something that turns Venus in Gemini's temptation to choose into something that is outside your control. A reality check. This will not be an entirely new situation. I know a Scorpio rising whose tax return was never received by the IRS (he mailed a paper return) and now has lost his health insurance subsidy (and so his health insurance) due to a missed deadline. This is a kind of 2nd/3rd/8th house mash-up.

On MONDAY, Venus (in Gemini) will square Neptune at home in Pisces. Venus rules our money, love, relationships, values, resources and self-esteem. With Venus in Gemini challenged by dreamy, foggy Neptune things could be CONFUSING. Watch your benjamins.

What looks at first like a smorgasbord of fancy lunch options (that Venus/Jupiter!) could turn out to be a choice between a baloney sandwich that's been pulled out from the couch cushions and a ham sandwich that's been rolled around on the sidewalk. Just how hungry are we exactly?

DOUBLE CHECK everything. That too good to be true thing could just drift away.

What are the actual facts around what you WANT? What do you really know? Who/what do you really trust?

Keep assumptions to a minimum. We could come to regret the things we jump into, so take your time. Boundaries are blurry. Answers only bring more questions. Avoid alcohol and drugs under this aspect - the effects will be magnified.

By TUESDAY we are dealing with the Moon (in Aries) squaring the Sun (in Cancer). Aries is teaching us to stand on our own two feet (stop smothering me Cancer, you wimp!) and Cancer is teaching us to gather people closer to us for our mutual security and protection (stop being so selfish Aries, you asshole!).

We need some kind of balance between independence/courage and cooperation/caring now.

Maybe between home - that home/family/home business/family business/real estate/relocation/renovation/mother/vulnerability thing, I keep going on and on about - and independent (or new/brave) ACTION. Maybe we need to appear strong, but a weakness/vulnerability is out in the open, too. This is tension/crisis - the need to adjust.

On WEDNESDAY - Mercury (communications, information, our mental processes, siblings, local community, commerce, transportation) says hasta-la-vista to watery Cancer and moves into fiery LEO (until his/her upcoming retrograde brings us back to Cancer - don't toss those tissues just yet people!).

Leo is the space we carry what 'makes us special'.

With Mercury (communication, intellect) here it will be easier to put our 'special' into words and to connect with the ideas and conversations that will push forward whatever we are most passionate about.

We will want our words to be heard and appreciated now. So will other people. Even the most reticent among us will want an audience. Our thinking/ideas (Mercury) can catch fire now (Leo).

Speaking from our hearts will connect us to other people's hearts. Encouraging words will matter.

This is very powerful energy. Leo is our superpower and should be used wisely. People will hear us with their heart and well as their head.

This gives the potential for hearts to expand as well as to be broken into little, tiny pieces. Keep this in mind.

Leo is a fixed fire sign, so words can burn now and words can dig us even more rigidly into our positions.

With Leo there is great opportunity for win-win and also for 'nobody wins'.

The energy right now is excellent for teaching us how we express what we are passionate about. It's very supportive of 'top of the mountain' heart-filled type of proclamations and proposals. Do people listen to us? Does what we say matter? We will care about this kind of stuff now.

Keep in mind with Mercury going to go retrograde over whatever we have going on now - we are going to be re-vising re-viewing, re-working this Leo situation - what our heart wants, what makes us special, what we are proud of, the situation with children and creative projects in July.

The Moon in Aries is running into trouble today so give yourself and everyone else a break. Good for independent work.

On THURSDAY, the Sun will square Chiron and sextile Uranus as Venus inconjuncts Pluto. This looks dicey. Venus/Pluto looks like an adjustment is needed around our money and their money, an intimacy issue, sex, bigger financial issues - bend, so we don't break. The Sun square Chiron speaks of tension/crisis - something painful - maybe around that home/family/mother, etc situation or maybe family/independence issues whatever this is - and the pain will trigger fears and insecurity - the solution is that Uranus sextile - a light is shined on something different, something unexpected and forward leaning - lean THAT way.

This is a very up and down week. Health issues should be attended to promptly.

We don't have the day-long void Moons like last week - thank goodness and some of last week's power struggles are starting to unwind (although keep in mind they are eclipse trigger points, so we aren't done with them).

Next week we move into eclipse season.

For now the Moon is waning - release, let things go, finish stuff up.

xo all

Note - last week we had that Mars/Pluto/Saturn (potential war) opposition and then when Neptune stationed retrograde and changed directions (escape, live to fight another day), Trump - who is probably more than a little bit psychic (and not fully tethered to any mental dock) - and whose natal  Neptune squares Mercury (his thinking) - changed his mind - he also changed his mind about a major ICE initiative. This seems to bode well for the July eclipses since last week's Mars/Mercury activity was a kind of preview and trigger point. The story isn't over, but maybe we can ESCAPE THE PAST (this energy is connected to 9/11) and do things differently this time. This applies to our personal situations, too - is there an escape hatch/clause/cushier landing than we expected, in here somewhere?

I think rather than do the dailies this week  I am going to work on some bigger, longer-term posts - let's see if we can put some puzzle pieces together if we step back a bit - including a post for July and finally get that Saturn/Pluto stuff up. Stay tuned!

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of June 17th - overwhelm, hopefully something other than a fight to the death, in the thick of it, making the dream more solid, a sacrifice, not a time to believe everything we see and hear, an intense week with stuff lightening up around Thursday

https://olivebites.blogspot.com/2019/05/the-full-moon-in-scorpio-may-18th-2019_17.html

Some major aspects for this intense week ahead are:

MONDAY - Full Moon in Sagittarius
TUESDAY - Neptune sextile Saturn, Mercury conjunct Mars
WEDNESDAY - Mercury and Mars oppose Pluto (!)
THURSDAY - Mercury enters retrograde shadow
FRIDAY - Summer Solstice, Neptune stations retrograde
SUNDAY - Venus opposes Jupiter

On MONDAY we have a fiery Full Moon in Sagittarius as Jupiter (ruler of the lunation) squares Neptune. I wrote about it HERE. We could feel mentally overwhelmed. Dreams expand. Promises could be exaggerated. Stay optimistic, but don't bet the farm. Something is reaching/has reached a culmination/conclusion, but not the final, final conclusion.

The Moon will move into serious Capricorn at 12:13PM EDT turning our attention to work, career, authority issues, our responsibilities, our life in the world, our goals and ambitions. We feel nurtured by having our sh*t together. With the Moon in Capricorn (the sign of winter) we can feel more acutely what we don't have.

On TUESDAY, Mercury catches up with Mars (in Cancer) and we have the second (of three) Neptune/Saturn sextiles this year - the first was at the end of January, the last will be in November.

With Mercury/Mars together - words can be forceful, conversations can feel like competitions, information can incite our passions and anger. News stirs action. Fresh ideas are possible. In Cancer, this adds sensitivity and gives everything a greater emotional kick. Cancer is ruled by the Moon which will be in Capricorn when Mercury and Mars meet, adding a tone of seriousness to events and situations.

Neptune will sextile Saturn - the second of three sextiles - this time with Saturn retrograde. Our dreams meet the work and determination to make them real. Dreams are made real. Neptune/Saturn sometimes requires a sacrifice. We give up this to get that. We give up the high stress job for less stressful, but probably lower paying employment - so we have more time with our family, to write that book we need to write, etc.

On WEDNESDAY, we have Mars and Mercury (conjunct in Cancer) opposing Pluto (retrograde in Capricorn). The Moon (Mars and Mercury are answering to her now) is VOID. That Cancerian situation we are dealing with - either involving the theme of your natal Cancer house or the collective themes of home, family, home business, family business, mother, mothering, real estate, renovation is opposite the grim reaper. Maybe the bills come due. Maybe our tunnel vision/compulsion - we have been focused on this thing over here and that thing over there now hits us in the face -  requires adjustment. There could be power struggles. The tension/crisis comes from outside of us (appears to). Like last week we need to be thinking about what we are thinking about - our thoughts could be obsessive, manipulative, jealous. Dial it back. So close to the Nodes of Fate - karmic situations are playing out.

Mars/Pluto is a BATTLEFIELD. Even a fight to the death. Toss in Mercury, Cancer and a VOID Capricorn Moon and things get even more dicey.

Let "this won't amount to anything" (our void Moon words of wisdom) be our mantra TODAY as things get heated. Keep a cool head. Neptune is squaring Jupiter - the reality of the situation is not exactly what we think it is. Stuff is being overblown. Other stuff is being hidden. We might not be able to avoid altercations, but we can act with integrity. Our natal Moon and its aspects will be a determining factor as to how we handle this week's crap. Keep in mind I am writing about things for the day when they are exact - we could get this Mars/Pluto earlier. Pluto is retrograde, so it won't be a brand new situation.

(Trump just had a birthday and his solar return chart, which impacts both him and the United States since he is the leader of the United States - includes the Mars/Saturn opposition - a war aspect - and he has Uranus, the planet of doing your own thing/the unexpected, in his first house of himself - a similar vibe to his natal Uranus/Sun conjunction, so that gets amplified now. We have this Iran situation, where almost certainly with the current astrology - everything is not quite as it appears, and the drums of war surely being beaten by Pompeo and Bolton as we head into eclipse season. Let's pray, Trump's "do his own thing" Uranus, keeps us from getting too entangled in this mess. Ugh!

The same thing we see playing out in the collective is playing out in our lives somewhere, too - the drumbeats for a battle - probably over something not totally real or at least exaggerated. We have the benefit of astrology - let's use it - let's find a better way than a fight to the death.)

On THURSDAY, the crazy energy should start to mellow out a bit. Mercury starts walking degrees he/she will walk two more times with her upcoming retrograde, so pay attention to what is going on because we are starting a long story. We should get a preview now of what will be slowing down/require a retrograde re-do. The Moon (remember the Cancer planets are answering to her) will move into Aquarius. The mood will lighten. Things will become more forward leaning and speed up. Keep in mind, the Aquarius Moon will square Uranus, so expect the unexpected.

FRIDAY is another BIG day with both the Summer Solstice (the chart impacts the season) and Neptune stationing retrograde, so we can revise/review this year's DREAM. Keep in mind the power of a planet at station - imagine your finger moving through a candle's flame and then your finger stops (ouch!). Everything is flavored by Neptune now. We are moving backward and forward at the same time. It is hard to know what is real. There is also powerful magic here. Pray, meditate, listen to music. Ask for answers. Your ancestors, and every good decision you've ever made in every life you've ever lived - is lined up to assist you through these times. Ask for help. We have another all-day Void Moon.

On SUNDAY, Venus (in Gemini) will oppose a retrograde Jupiter (in Sag). This transit can bring a certain lack of willpower and laziness. Plan for a lazy Sunday. Put the credit cards AWAY. Enjoy yourself, but not too much! Relationships/money/resource situations are INFLATED now. Good news is possible. Optimism is possible. Much ado about nothing is possible. A situation with a woman could go over the top!

Heads up that Venus will be where Mars/Mercury are now at the time of the eclipses in a couple weeks pulling our relationships/money/resources/self-esteem into the crazy. If there are any steps you can take now to stabilize anything with that, take them.

What a week - stay safe people. Stay in your magic!

During last month's Full Moon in Scorpio, post HERE - we talked about asteroid Sedna and what I saw as her connection to a devastating story in the news about the murder of a mother to steal her unborn child. Then the Sun met Mercury (this aspect was applying in the Full Moon chart) and the story was back in the news with the CNN headline that the baby, a little boy, was still alive. On Friday with Mars - which rules young men and co-ruled that Scorpio Full Moon, along with Pluto - in exact opposition to Saturn and opposing Pluto - endings/death - the little baby boy, whose mother had been so ruthlessly stolen from him, passed away .. such a sad and tragic story.

Full Moon in Sagittarius | a closer look at what we believe, big plans, our faith is tested, who/what can we trust, not everything is quite as it appears, details are blurry, results not quite final, an expansion of a dream or the exaggeration of a promise

Early Monday morning EDT - the Sagittarius Moon will oppose the Gemini Sun (25 degrees) giving us this month's Full Moon.

Full Moons bring things to a culmination or a conclusion. This month things are not so certain. Details can be blurry. Promises exaggerated. Results not quite so final.

The Moon is widely squaring Jupiter (Jupiter rules this Full Moon as the ruler of Sagittarius) and widely squaring Neptune, but more importantly they are exactly squaring each other (for the second time this year due to Jupiter's retrograde) - the first square was back on January 13th, so something from that time - the expansion of a dream/an exaggerated belief or promise - is being re-viewed/re-looked at.

We are five months from the first Neptune/Jupiter square surely we have learned something we can trust by now?!

Neptune is always dissolving something - we don't want it to be our common sense/cents.

This aspect, the Jupiter/Neptune square, became exact (for the second time) on SUNDAY, then we have the Full Moon on MONDAY and then on TUESDAY, our other big repeating aspect of 2019 - the Neptune/Saturn sextile becomes exact. So, at the time of the Full Moon we are building toward that.

We had the first Saturn/Neptune sextile on January 28th - so we are also being brought back to that date this week, too.

Neptune (our imaginations/dreams/art/spirit/healing) is working WITH Saturn in 2019 - not like in 2016 and into 2017 when they were squaring each other! Instead of our dreams (Neptune) being trashed by reality (Saturn) or our foundations/goals (Saturn) drifting away (Neptune) something we've kind of gotten used to in the last couple years - now our dreams can be supported/grounded (sextile) in reality. Keep in mind Saturn stuff builds over time - so patience may be required here. Saturn/Neptune aspects often involve a sacrifice - we have to willingly give up this, to get that.

Now, we have to keep in mind the square to Neptune/Jupiter that is exact now. Something probably isn't quite true here/isn't as big/great as it seems.

It is likely the peak/conclusion happening at the time of this month's Full Moon isn't quite as peak/final as it seems.

A closer look is needed. We don't want to overlook any important details. We don't want to be relying on any big promises that won't be delivered. There is a test of faith here - what do we believe in?

Mars and Mercury are conjunct (they will meet exactly on Tuesday and then together oppose Pluto on Wednesday - another powerful week!) and they have both eked their way past that Saturn opposition at the time of this Full Moon. So they are together (our thinking and our passions, our words and our deeds), nestled within a treacherous opposition to Saturn and Pluto.

This feels like some powerful opposition (from authority/the outer world/the rules/the way things have always been done) to our personal (Mars/Mercury) decisions and actions regarding that Cancerian house situation or that home, family, home business, family business, mother, relocation, renovation thing.

The Full Moon will make everything feel bigger, and possibly more overwhelming, than it is (and it could actually be pretty big).

On the plus side, we have the North Node (in Cancer) on our side. It won't be comfortable, but it can provide the forward momentum to push us into (or force our hand with) the new and untested stuff that feels more nurturing, more authentic, more like the mom and apple pie - we didn't even know we needed.

This Full Moon is testing our faith. Maybe taking a measure of what we are willing to give up in order to build something more AUTHENTIC (where we feel ownership of the experience); something that works independently of the failing patriarchy.

Jupiter/Neptune is EXPANDING the space for dreaming, imagining, connecting, remembering. Neptune/Saturn is stabilizing this expanded space.

Jupiter, ruler of this Full Moon, is in his home sign of Sagittarius - we aren't going to have a Full Moon in Sagittarius with Jupiter for another 12 years! Even as Neptune/Jupiter and Neptune/Saturn warn us to watch out for anything too shiny, too good to be true, TOO BIG - Jupiter says hey I won't be back here for TWELVE YEARS! This is a Full Moon, peak energy, USE IT OR LOSE IT, bub.

Maybe we can't tell what's real and what's not real anymore because that isn't the question we should be asking. If nothing is really real, then nothing is really not real ie impossible either. Maybe this is a good thing (we can see it could be in the future, but maybe it is an actual good thing RIGHT NOW) and we are looking at this whole "shifting reality" thing ass-backward.

Having said that we would still like some solid footing somewhere.

With illusory Neptune very strong this week (a strong Neptune is always dissolving something) and stationing retrograde on the 21st - this would not be the best time to make a big, important decision. Mars is still opposite Saturn and approaching Pluto (along with Mercury) - avoid arguments, power struggles, saying things you might regret, avoid bridge burning if possible - retrogrades are not a time for bridge burning because we are walking paths we aren't done with yet. We will be back here again and it would be nice if there was a freakin' bridge here.

When Neptune stations retrograde on Friday, the Sun will move into Cancer, ushering in the Summer Solstice. This is going to be an excellent time to meditate, pray, connect with our intuition/ancestors for powerful guidance.

Until then we have a challenging week ahead and my "live to fight another day" advice continues.

Avoid direct confrontations if possible. Avoid deceptive pie-in-the-sky promises. Don't over-promise. No dark alleys. No candy from strangers. Let the storms blow over. Pressures can feel intense.

We have a game-changer solar eclipse in two weeks that is being SET UP NOW (last week and this week) and we need to be in the best position we can be in for that. Keep an eye on that Cancer North Node - prioritize self care. MOTHER YOURSELF.

Home and work are still stress points (and our natal Cancer/Capricorn house themes).

To sum up this Full Moon - Sagittarius opposing Gemini - tension between what we believe and what we think, tension between what is foreign and what is local, tension between the big-picture and the immediate details. With Neptune squaring the Moon's ruler Jupiter - everything will not be quite as it seems. Something is just TOO MUCH. Our actions/passion (Mars) is opposed by powerful forces. The Moon is conjunct the Galactic Center - seat of creation.  Even with all the potential for bullshit and deception - I still can't stop thinking about the possibilities ....

back with the weekly on Monday, buckle up

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of June 10th - wanting to move into the new, but something from the past isn't finished with us yet, reality bites, living to fight another day, offering compassion, the way forward becomes clearer, a week of coming attractions so pay attention

MONDAY - Sun opposite Jupiter
TUESDAY- Mars conjuncts the North Node
THURSDAY - Mars opposes Saturn and trines Neptune
FRIDAY - Mercury conjuncts the North Node
SATURDAY - Mercury opposes Saturn and trines Neptune
SUNDAY- Jupiter squares Neptune

This is a very intense week (next week is, too).

Both Mars and Mercury are meeting the North Node and opposing the South Node/Saturn while trining Neptune. The Sun will oppose Jupiter early in the week and then the week ends with Jupiter squaring Neptune.

This is a 'fate train' week folks and we already bought our tickets!

Whatever we have playing out with that Cancer situation we have been talking about - our natal Cancer house theme, home, family, mother, mothering, home business, family business, real estate, renovation - is pushing us into our FUTURE.

Conversations, communications, our actions will have us leaning into that and a more authentic way of moving through the world - it might feel at first more vulnerable and less safe (maybe because of what we have to let go of to make this thing work), but it is actually the only truly safe thing. We are coming home. Literally. Figuratively. To ourselves.

Some of this week's transits will have us wanting to jump into something NEW while other transits will SLOW us down (maybe stop us in our tracks) to either ensure we are doing things right or because we have been avoiding letting go of something that has to go and now this thing is biting us in the ass. The pressure is building.

Mars/Mercury oppositions to Saturn indicate a re-balancing of karma, an ending via actions/news - focused on our Capricorn house theme, career, work in the world, father, interactions with authority, our goals. If we have been holding onto stuff here that needs to go this time period is going to be more difficult. We are going to hit challenges and roadblocks. Reality bites.

This is all foreshadowing next month's eclipses and the big 2020 energies. Pay attention to the issues that are arising now because we aren't done with them. Points are being activated that later transits will STIMULATE. We are going to have to breathe through this.

On MONDAY - the Gemini Sun will oppose Jupiter (retrograde in Sagittarius). The Sun will bring something Jupiter has unearthed either INTO THE LIGHT or toward a culmination now.

This could bring a positive, enthusiastic result. Previously, unconsidered options could come into view. Opportunities.

We decide to grow and so we do. This sounds like magic because life IS magic.

Jupiter tends to be beneficial, but is actually expansive, so watch for excess. Maybe we are ambitious, but our ambitions have no where to go, so we are going to have to talk/communicate our way toward something with a bigger potential. You have to be in the game, to win the game. Conversely, maybe we are too pushy/greedy or dealing with some kind of excessive behavior in a public way. Avoid preachiness. Watch your boundaries. Stay in your own shoes.

The Sun is barely moving past his square to Neptune, so we could be kind of "blindly optimistic" now or maybe our faith is being restored. We are coming out of the fog. Everything is how we choose to look at it. Gemini is all about choices. If you don't like what you are seeing/hearing/thinking, look again.

What else do you see?

The Moon is making her 1st quarter square Virgo/Gemini - it's a time to make corrections, fix what can be fixed, look at the details, the wording.

On TUESDAY, Mars (our actions, initiative, passion, anger) meets the North Node (our collective way forward, our future) in Cancer. We are in the right place at the right time. Our actions/passions are pulling us forward. Last year at this time, almost to the day we had the opposite - Mars conjunct the South Node (what we were releasing). This is one of many reasons we can see last year's results are not an indicator of this year's POSSIBILITIES.

On THURSDAY, Mars is going to oppose Saturn and trine Neptune. Mars will never win a battle with Saturn, especially this year with Mars in his detriment in Cancer and Saturn strong at home in Capricorn.

The Mars/Saturn opposition (two malefic planets) is a violent signature. It can show up as bullying, anger, frustration and conflict - so stay safe.

Our actions hit a wall.

Sometimes there is an ending. Maybe someone leaves. Rules. Boundaries. Authority issues. Avoided reality will bite us in the ass now. If anything CAN stand in the way of our forward movement - it will.

The trine to imaginative and compassionate Neptune (your Pisces house theme, too) is the way through this roadblock. Prayer, meditation, creativity, fantasy, escape (live to fight another day?), our dreams, insights, intuition, inspiration. We won't be able to control everything that is happening - there are connections to our past and things done behind closed doors. We are going to have to take the actions we can and release our grubby hands from what we can't control. The course of action that avoids a bad situation could be the best course. Offer compassion - be kind.

On FRIDAY, Mercury is doing what Mars did on Tuesday. Here is the news, information, conversation that moves things forward.  We are communicating our destiny. Talking about where we are going. We could hear just the right words now. Here is our North Star - "move in this direction" something is going to say now. No dwelling on the past.

Then on SATURDAY, Mercury is doing what Mars did on Thursday. We meet some kind of verbal/contractual limit (Mercury could also have us dealing with sibling issues, local community issues, transportation/equipment issues). We say or hear a "no". Again there is a trine to Neptune pointing the way through all of this. News might upset our plans and need our attention.

On SUNDAY, Jupiter squares Neptune. This takes us back to mid-January. Hope springs eternal. Something here probably isn't totally realistic, but that doesn't mean there isn't an opportunity in here somewhere if we can get past the fluffernutter. Maybe this is growth for that Neptunian path this week's challenges are pointing us toward. So, now we really can't miss it. What an aspect for Father's Day.

It's a BIG week and sets up other big weeks, so pay attention. Here are our coming attractions. Our actions and words are driving us forward even as we meet roadblocks and minefields that will have to be maneuvered.

Back with the dailies as we muddle our way through this one! Keep in mind that helpful trine to Neptune - inspiration, intuition, compassion, avoidance (living to fight another day).

NEW MOON IN GEMINI | Monday, June 3, 2019 - new options, new stories, changing our mind, more than one way forward, seeing double, time to notice what we are noticing, diplomatic strategies, defending our choices, pleading our case, a fresh insight that requires our courage and initiative grabs our attention and won't let go

On Monday at 6:01AM EDT the Gemini Moon meets the Gemini Sun at 12 degrees giving us this month's New Moon in, you probably guessed it, Gemini.

Strangely enough for a sign that is all about making connections, this New Moon isn't really making any!

Gemini is all about the movement of information and ideas. Gemini is about choices and multiple anythings. Commerce. Exchange. There will be more than one thing to talk about now, more than one thing to do, more than one way forward. With no other planets making any tight aspects this Moon is all Gemini all of the time.

Things started now could move forward very quickly, although maybe not in a totally straight line.

Change can't be stopped folks!

Information (and remember there is a quantity over quality thing happening now - use discretion, check things out) will be coming at us from all sources. We won't be bored for the next month that is certain. If you need a mental health break now and then - take it.

Ruled by Mercury and ruler of our 3rd house, Gemini rules our growth through the exchange of information, through contact with our immediate environment, through language. Gemini reigns over: the flow of information, technology, communication, our mental processes, conversations, stories, lies, our local community, our neighbors, our siblings, our transportation.

Gemini is the first air sign of the astrological year - a sign of the mind, the archetype of the "teacher" - the storyteller. If you are a Gemini Sun sign this is basically the way you process life. As soon as you learn something, and you are naturally curious and learn alot of "somethings" - you simply must pass it on. Gemini has more to do with questions than answers. She has been mentally exploring and noticing stuff her entire life.

Gemini is perspective. What we notice becomes what we think about, what we talk about, what we act on.

What we notice becomes who we are.

It's a good time to notice what we are noticing. Of course, we would probably have to stop for a moment to do this and we won't be able to - because we will be so busy!

Let's unpack the chart.

The Sun/Moon are widely squaring imaginative and illusive Neptune, so we have to continue to double check information. Situations could be foggy and choices prone to disappearing. They are also widely opposing Jupiter - both of these aspects are building and will be exact next week, so let's look at them.

The Sun will exactly square Neptune on June 9th - this could make us tired/sap our energy, maybe secrets come into the light then. The Sun will oppose Jupiter on June 10th, this could be too much of a good thing (or something like greed), but can also bring us bounty and good luck. With the Sun squaring Neptune at the same time we'll have a magical (and tricky) t-square to talk about as we get closer.

The most exact aspects in play right now are a trine to Pallas (in Libra) and a semi-square to Vesta (in Aries).

The trine to Pallas in Libra (brakes off) speaks of diplomatic strategies and goodwill that will factor smoothly into our New Moon beginning. Compromises/seeking balance within our relationships. Communications and ideas will take other people/partnerships into consideration. Maybe people are talking about what they want/need.

The semi-square to Vesta in Aries (start or warning of a potential crisis/tension) speaks of the New Moon's beginning challenging (Aries semi-square) what we hold sacred (Vesta). With Mars (Aries ruler) in Cancer - maybe we will have to DEFEND what we are doing/saying/thinking. This could actually be a good thing because it will force us to dig more deeply (Gemini can be kind of superficial and there is a building square to Neptune) into our ideas/choices. Should we still be dedicating our time/attention to this? Do we still believe in that? Do we actually know what we are talking about?

Mercury (ruler of Gemini and this New Moon) is sextiling Vesta. This is  gentle, but opportunistic. Here is a nudge in the new direction, some way through the choices. Here is what is most important to us. Focus on this. With Vesta in Aries it could require courage/initiative. It could be a new idea that grabs our attention and won't let go.

Keep in mind New Moons are times in the dark. We can't see where we are going with this yet. Gemini is mutable air - things are in flux.

Mercury is comfy, cozy in her home sign at the time of this New Moon, but is quickly (within hours) going to leave Gemini for sensitive Cancer. So we move quickly from our intellect/head into our emotions/heart.

We will be feeling what people are saying. Our own words will be impacting other people emotionally, too. Feeling vulnerable will quickly be part of this New Moon's beginning.

Mercury will move on to square Chiron (in Aries), so it is likely some words/thoughts could be painful. Whatever this is it won't likely be bandaged up by us (or someone else) saying just the right thing - with Chiron the pain is the healing. Thinking about - "why do these words hurt? what is familiar about this?" and then maybe having a good old cry - yes, one of those big, old ugly ones that make everything a fuzzy, black, mascara-y blur - might just be more healing than trying to fix whatever has just been re-wounded with some Betadine. This wound is too old and too deep for that.

We are probably still a couple days away from the waterworks though.

For now, set your intentions!

And get what you can get done NOW - mid-June looks especially gnarly with Mars opposing the Cappy line-up (prepping everything for 2020), Mercury will meet Mars three times during her/his upcoming retrograde and THIS WEEK is one month before the first summer eclipse - events often happen one month before the eclipse dates, so this New Moon in Gemini's new chapter is uber important.

GEMINI NEW MOON AFFIRMATIONS

This is a great time for affirmations for Gemini themes - movement, flexibility, wit, communication, logic, social graces and ease, siblings, local issues, teaching/learning, mental anxiety, areas of life where you are seeing double or doing two things at once, our nervous system, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and our lungs.

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a good frame of mind - always make affirmations from a  positive place (meaning both happy and certain) - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud - then release your attention from them knowing that your intention is known.

Know what you seek is seeking you (Rumi).

Know these things are already yours.

I have my sister in town and took a day trip on Sunday and didn't get to the weekly. I will try to get to it over the next couple days or we will run this motha' with the dailies this week!

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of May 27, 2019 - inaccurate information, fuzzy thinking, rose-colored glasses, avoid over-promising, our minds expand, not a good time for important decisions, better energies by the end of the week when we are commiting to what we want

A late posting this week due to the holiday here! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

WEDNESDAY - Mercury squares Neptune
THURSDAY - Mercury opposes Jupiter, Juno conjunct the North Node
FRIDAY - Venus trines Saturn,
SATURDAY - Venus trines the South Node
SUNDAY - Venus trines Pluto

On WEDNESDAY, Mercury (flying through Gemini) is going to square imaginative and illusive Neptune (in Pisces). This could feel a bit like that LONG Mercury retrograde through Pisces in March - was March two months or two years ago? Conversations could be confusing.

It can be hard to separate fact from fiction. Information can be inaccurate.

Our thinking will be fuzzy and so will the details.

Things could sound better than they actually are. Little white lies could lead to major problems. Avoid them. Check your language. Stick to the facts. Embellishments are not our friend now. Boundaries will be thin - it will be hard to separate our thinking from the guy standing next to us. People who tend to drain us anyway could be especially exhausting now.

Pay attention when driving. No drinking. No drugs. Our minds are already altered.

The Moon will be in courageous Aries urging us to take a risk. Just don't bet the farm on any half-baked idea we can't tell is half-baked because our thermometer is broken.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE FACTS before making any kind of public or important statement/decision. Most likely you won't, so wait a few days.

The energy is excellent for creative writing, meditation, music, art and healing words.

With Mercury set to oppose Jupiter on

THURSDAY keep in mind things can seem better or bigger than they actually are now. Mercury is out of bounds and has taken our logical mind with him/her. That's ok though.

It is a time of positive thinking and optimistic language (just don't veer into the little-white-lie category or over-promise). Over confidence can cause problems but the extra jolt of confidence this transit provides most people can be a good thing.

Again this would not be the best time to make an important decision. We have a New Moon in Gemini coming next week - let's wait until we get into that energy.

Excellent energy for planning a trip, course of study, opening our mind to new ideas. With Juno connecting with the North Node our future is somehow being tied to our committed long term relationships - which brings us to

FRIDAY, when Venus gets practical with a trine to stable Saturn.

Here is our reality check for this week's confusion.

Here is where we are committing to what we want.

Love, money, our resources, value and self-esteem - it's all good. This is Saturn. Play by the rules. Exercise patience and self-discipline. Excellent energy for dealing with authority figures and stepping into our own authority. The stuff that needs to move forward to stabilize a situation is.

On SUNDAY, Venus will trine Pluto - adding passion/power/transformation to what we are committing to. If something is done, it's done. Stick a fork in it. We are merging our money, love, values, resources - going deeper.

So through mid-week is a little confusing - things might seem better than they actually are, we might not be able to trust what we are hearing/reading/saying  - the end of the week is more stabilizing and forward-leaning especially in regard to our natal Taurus house theme and the general Taurus themes of our money, our resources, beauty, self-esteem and values.

Back with the dailies!

Heads up the Moon will be void until 2:32PM EDT on Tuesday and the Moon is void almost all day Thursday (goes void at 11:08AM EDT until the next day).
