Full Moon, Super Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo | January 20-21, 2019 - the wall, patience, major endings, an unexpected change of direction, a female leaves the table, raising our vision over that wall, the final leg of that 'following our heart" thingie which might come from what feels like the other legs being kicked out from under us

Let's step back and look at the big picture - we are living under the drumbeat of Saturn (the patriarchy, the "man", the establishment, that someone/something who knows better than us and keeps us safe) walking the Green Mile toward Pluto (death/transformation).

That shaking ground is real.

Saturn is going to get all the way to 20 degrees Capricorn (this April) then station retrograde. It will be January 2020 before he finally reaches Pluto (22 degrees Capricorn). Checkmate.

But the chapter where Saturn (as us) is called to cash in his chips - has already started.

(Saturn's changes are happening in the metaphysical realm but also in the physical world. I wasn't too surprised to find THIS article just a couple weeks ago)

This is the evolution of consciousness and it sounds like a very big deal because it is a very big deal.

Not long ago we lived in a world comfortably made up of things - like protons and electrons and leather reclining chairs and now we live in a startlingly more uncomfortable world - because comfort comes from familiarity - made up of energy - that creates stuff like protons and electrons and leather reclining chairs and people and then goes back to being energy again AND this energy cannot be destroyed and most importantly - what this energy does is totally dependent on who is observing it.

We see things differently because we actually see different things.

(and I'm not talking Facebook, but yes, one billion of us on Facebook is part of this - as above so below, thoughts become things, etc)

Cue the shaking ground.

Our quantum paradigm has changed everything. The world shifted as soon as someone figured out the world didn't really work the way we thought it did and once one person knew/remembered WE ALL DID.

And we might not know we know, but just had a thought like "what the hell is really going on here? what the hell is true?".

When Kelly-Anne Conway coined the term "alternative facts" on January 22, 2017 (yes, almost exactly two years before this eclipse and yes, I am quoting Kelly-Anne Conway now, WTH people!!) - she didn't know the "truth" of what she was saying. It wasn't actually her boss, the former reality tv-show host that killed reality (again the whole as above so below thing), but it might feel like he did. Getting rid of Trump isn't going to flip us all back to one-reality though!

People are uncalibrating all over the place. No one knows what to believe anymore.

The one-reality world has gone/is going bye-bye and it will make us totally insane to try and hold onto it. It served us well for a while as a way to stay safe, but now that need for other people "to see/believe/experience things the same way we do" is chewing us up and spitting us out.

Our world being shaped by the observer means that we truly are all living in different worlds; worlds that we are co-creating as we go along.

The time when we looked for someone over us to explain it all to us is ending.

At the same time it is not our job any longer to convince anybody of anything.

We can share what we think/believe. We can be inspired by what they think/believe (or triggered if we want to stay playing a losing game, which to a greater or lesser extent we are all still playing). But if we are still searching after some kind of absolute something, some kind of pecking order of truth where one fact/belief is more important or more true than another fact/belief we are barking up a tree that was long ago chopped down to build a pedestal someone is about to fall from.

We have no clear idea of what this is all going to look like, this world without the structures and pedestals and beliefs (in government, in religion, in hierarchies), we have depended on to keep us safe (that have also been keeping us stuck) because we are co-creating this whole thing as we go along!

We have to work the process.

This eclipse (a culmination event from our journey of the last two years) - is part of that process. So, let's take a look at it.

The Sun (at 0 degrees Aquarius) opposes the Moon (at 0 degrees Leo) at 12:15AM EST on January 21st (which is Monday, but this is really late Sunday night). So close to the Nodes of the Moon this is a Lunar Eclipse so close to the Earth, this is a Super Moon Lunar Eclipse.

Full Moons are times of fullness. Stuff reaches a culmination, a peak, an ending. Eclipses eclipse things out of our life or out of our way. Lunar eclipses sometimes denote the loss of a female energy - a nurturing energy or an actual female person or animal. And like every ending, the Full Moon Lunar eclipse is also a time of beginning - and zero degrees Leo means an especially fresh, especially heart-centered start for any new beginning. Keep in mind the timing of eclipse events is tricky because eclipses work backward as well as forward. I often see events one month before or after, give or take a day or two, or one week before or after, again give or take a day or two. Lunar Eclipses give the Full Moon chart added oomph and added staying power allowing the energies to play out over 18 months instead of the usual six.

With this Full Moon, the Sun and Moon (and North and South Nodes) are squaring Uranus - the planet of fast change, chaos, the future. With the Moon in Leo, the Sun (ruler of Leo) rules the Eclipse and with the Sun in Aquarius (answering to Uranus and Saturn) that T-Square to Uranus is even more powerful. Saturn is strong and home in Capricorn and exactly squaring Mars, strong and home in Aries. Venus and Jupiter (strong in Sagittarius) are conjunct (exact next week) and sextiling Saturn and trining Mars - they are our golden ticket here. And of course, because the golden ticket always comes with a bit of a "buyer beware" (that fly in the ointment thing) the chocolate bar it is wrapped around good for cavities and sugar headaches, I guess - the good stuff is squaring dreamy Neptune. Most of Pluto's stuff is pretty wide, but he is conjunct Mercury - this is the deep truth, unearthing/merging/purging/financial/death stuff we have been talking about this week.

This is alot to unpack and my head is still clogged with a head cold/sinusy/flu thing, but we will give it a go.

Saturn/Mars speaks of the need for patience. Something is slowing us down - maybe the rules are not permitting something or the document isn't signed correctly. Whatever we are trying to get moving is stopped or slowed. No point going all cray-cray about it. Cooler heads will prevail, so be one of those. With Mars/Saturn both strong in their home signs - any battle - crisis/tension - will be won by Saturn (yes, he's on a death march, but he ain't dead/transformed just yet). Saturn wins here. The rules are enforced. The document must be notarized. Pushing only gets us a sore back. You get the idea. Time is on our side.

That square to Uranus speak of pressure/chaos - fast change, something unexpected. I know this seems like the opposite of "time is on our side", but really it isn't. The T-square is moving us into a possible change of direction. In March, Uranus is going to square this eclipse Sun, so something happening now will connect to that time period.

The Venus/Jupiter conjunction that trines (brakes off) and sextiles (opportunity) Mars and Saturn is our golden ticket/escape clause here. In Sagittarius luck is on our side here. That sextile to karmic Saturn from the mountaintops of Sag makes me think we win by seeing our situation from a loftier perch. From a wider/higher perspective. We know why what is happening is happening.

Maybe the real opportunity (sextile to stable Saturn) luck/expansion (Jupiter) and attraction (Venus) comes from a fast change (Uranus) in our perspective/beliefs. Or some other Sagittarian thingie done quickly - a fast trip, an out-of-the-blue instruction, a conversation with a foreigner, a visit to a church, a wedding (a quickie wedding? I don't know!), something optimistic and stretchy!

Keep in mind our benefics are both squaring Neptune - remember the Jupiter/Neptune square in play for most of 2019 - making for excellent manifestation potential, Neptune adds magic, but also the potential for things to appear better than they actually are/delusional. Avoid excessive anything. Don't overspend. Don't over invest any part of yourself in anything too pie in the sky.

If this eclipse is hitting your chart you are already feeling it or about to be and it is BIG.

The bottom line though is that this is the last of the Leo eclipses - following our heart, taking the center stage of our own life, creating something we can be proud of, taking care of the children/our inner child, the tender romance, the theme of our Leo house. Something here is being impacted. Mars/Saturn usually indicates hard work (maybe also cruelty, so be careful with your personal safety now, too), but also that our actions (Mars) can amount to something real (Saturn).

xo all

I would say don't forget to get out and walk in it, but eclipses are powerful, so I will leave that up to you - do make some space for it (maybe appease/barter with the 'eclipse something out' part) by giving something away.

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | the rest of the week as we build toward the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse - letting go, looking at our roots and the ties that bind, this is how power structures crumble, secrets, power plays, what is being unearthed, more merging and purging, back to August 2017

Jelly fishes by ankazhuravleva

This is a really HUGE week and I do everyone a dis-service by writing about it in a daily/piece-meal kind of way, so I'll push my clogged head to look a bit further this morning.

All week we've had our Capricorn Sun moving toward the South Node (exact on Thursday, but events don't always transpire when energies are exact, so this is in play all week - major endings, major decisions, forces that have previously stabilized us exiting stage left) and then when the Sun finally, finally gets the hell out of Capricorn and takes his first breathe of Aquarian air he (as we) gets hit with the Full Moon Solar eclipse (on Monday EST) squaring Uranus. Wham. Bam. No thank you ma'am.

Let's start with WEDNESDAY - the Moon is in comfort seeking Taurus doing her best to provide us with some kind of grounding. We have to meet her halfway here by taking the time to breathe through whatever we have going on. Get out in nature. Eat some roots vegetables. Take a bath. You know the drill. Before her Void at 1:34PM EST - get things done early today, folks - she will trine Pluto and then the Sun, so something can fall into place here - steady and solid, not fast though since Taurus is fixed earth, PROGRESS.

Having the Moon in Taurus the last couple days has been a HUGE help to us.

Her trine (brakes off) this afternoon from her perch in Taurus to the sober Sun in Cappy will grant us the ability to make some progress - especially after any obstacles of the last couple days - keep in mind Taurus is all about our existing resources (time, money, valuables, beauty, self-esteem). We are working with what we own here. Whatever we have going on is building on the solid structures we already have, the trine assures that even in the most shaky situations, there is solid ground to be found here.

By THURSDAY - the Moon will be in busy, communicative Gemini for the next couple days - in Gemini she is going to oppose Venus (in Sag), sextile Mars (in Aries), square Neptune (in Pisces) oppose Jupiter (in Sag) and sextile Uranus (in Aries). You can see how by just following the Moons you can know so much about everyday and week! And you can also see how your Taurus planets - which had all smooth aspects when the Moon was there - are having an easier time of it than your Gemini planets right now, where things are more up and down. This also indicates that until the Moon goes Void on Friday night at 8:32PM EST and then slips into family/home centered Cancer at 10:44PM EST Friday night - things could be very up and down (emotionally) for us, too.

The Sun will conjunct the South Node at 26 degrees Capricorn - this is one of the reasons our leaders and governments (all Capricorn ruled systems) are breaking down! And the reasons the structures in our lives - something we counted on - is shifting now. The Sun is also under all kinds of other stress, too. Now, that Cappy South Node also rules limits and boundaries, walls and rules. When the structure goes (didn't you want to topple the patriarchy?!), so do the roots of the structure. These things, in the world, and in our own lives, these ties to the past are illuminated now. Not everything is being tossed on the trash-bin, but it might feel like it is. Our bodies are well-trained to crave what is familiar so these transits don't always feel so good. We are seeing/experiencing what needs to go and depending on what it is we feel we are losing (it's obviously easier to lose your favorite tattered chair than a job you hate but that has stabilized your income or God forbid an actual person) and our own native tendencies toward collection and maintaining things the way they have always been and greed (yes, there is greed here tangled up in our Cappy roots) - this will be as painful and complicated as it needs to be.

And we are still in the energy of that karmic South Node Solar Eclipse from January 5th and headed toward an even bigger one - which may have already played out for you, but still likely has some twists and turns ahead with its Uranus square!

Hang in there the Sun is set to move into humanitarian-fueled Aquarius in just a couple days, and keep in mind, this entire time period is a pre-cursor to the BIG energies of 2020, after which BIG (and more lasting) shifts into the Aquarian energies are coming!

On FRIDAY the energies are all over the place. Mercury meets Pluto so some information is dug up. There are power plays. Secrets. Conversations/communications/words are powerful and matter. Life and death conversations. Wills. Money talks. You can imagine how all of this is going to play out in the collective news!

And we have Venus (our feminine energy wanting, wanting, wanting in the sky is the limit Sagittarius) finally making nice with our pushy and aggressive Mars in Aries (masculine energy). Maybe this is where Nancy - with her eyes on a sky without walls - and Donald with his Mars/Ascendant always needing someone to "fight" can come to some kind of agreement - let's hope before the Eclipse! Of course the Sun will be squaring Neptune so some things will be happening behind the curtains folks.

All of which sounds good for relationships seeking a deeper level of intimacy.

I will still do some dailies this week, but wanted to get something a little more "big picture" up.

And keep in mind we are building toward a big LUNAR ECLIPSE - the FINAL Leo/Aquarius eclipse and remember this cycle started with the Great American Eclipse back in August 2017 (!) that hit Trump's chart BIGLY (!), so we are headed back there.

What was going on in your life in August 2017?

HERE and HERE are the posts on that if you want a reminder.

An exalted Moon and the Sun squares Pallas | wonderful lunar aspects today and we try a new tactic with that authority/responsibility/limit thingie

Bonnie and Clyde 6 by Natalia Ciobanu

The Moon is in Taurus today and she makes multiple good aspects. In Taurus she turns our attention to what we need to feel comforted. Our income, resources, our values and self-esteem, the important things money can buy and the important things it can't, are highlighted. It's a good time to take the time. In Taurus, she will trine Saturn, sextile Neptune, trine Mercury and Pluto then finally our Capricorn Sun. All good aspects today.

She will be in Taurus only until tomorrow afternoon (1:34PM EST) when she goes void (until 8PM EST) off that lovely trine to the Sun. After the Void she moves into busy and communicative Gemini, so if you need some space to catch your breath before then - do that now. There are some great aspects today that greatly increase our chances for success you won't want to miss though.

Keep in mind she is waxing (growing) toward Monday's Full Moon Lunar Eclipse which is going to square Uranus, so outcomes with whatever we have going on/growing now will tend toward the "unpredictable".

Liberation would be an appropriate goal when we see Uranus coming!

The challenge today is a square between our Sun, nearing the end of Capricorn, and Pallas (Athena) in Libra at 25 degrees. Squares are stress/tension. This feels somewhat similar to yesterday's Aries/Capricorn battle since Pallas is our warrior Goddess energy. In Libra though, and being the extremely clever feminine energy she is, she (as we) will likely try a different tactic.

Maybe something along the diplomatic lines of "more flies with honey". That stubborn Cappy Sun (the rules, the limit, authority, the line in the sand) still feels rather unmoved toward compromise and Pallas, smart as she is, isn't quite the beguiler as, say Venus.

Still we strategize. We seek toward collaboration.

The win-win Pallas seeks in Libra probably isn't going to work out today though and keeping the peace at any cost is surely a lose-lose.

We can do better. Maybe just not right now.

(although the Moon's trine to Saturn in the early afternoon is helpful and could prove me wrong - the Moon IS answering to Venus after all and the Sun to Saturn!)

Take the time to enjoy that Taurus Moon - she is exalted and fleeting. Get out in nature. Take a hot bath. Get/give a massage. Eat a warm meal with foods grown from the ground.

Mercury sextile Neptune, 1st Quarter Square Moon - courage vs clout, the rules, the way we've only done it, going for what you want and are passionate about, visionary language, ideas are in the air and can be picked like apples, thoughts become things, the eclipse spin cycle

pillow-fight-by-sliwka

I was sick again yesterday (damn you unending sinus thingie), so we'll have to muddle through the week without the weeklies.

Some aspects are:

SUNDAY - Jupiter square Neptune, Mercury conjunct Saturn
MONDAY - Mercury sextile Neptune
THURSDAY - Sun conjunct South Node and opposing North Node
FRIDAY - Mercury conjunct Pluto, Venus trines Mars, Sun squares Uranus
SUNDAY - Sun into Aquarius, Venus squares Neptune

We are in between eclipses now. The Lunar Eclipse on January 21st is one of the biggest of the year and finishes up the Leo/Aquarius cycle. This is a Super Full Moon with the Moon closest to the Earth. The Sun will be sitting with the South Node, Pluto and Mercury and squaring Uranus (this eclipse is  another major "cheese stands alone" moment for Trump ie Uranus - who shut down the government on December 21st, exactly one month earlier. Eclipse events often happen almost exactly one month to the day before or after the actual event). Mars will be squaring Saturn. Things are volatile.

On MONDAY the Moon is void until 1:31PM EST this afternoon when she moves into Taurus - the sign of her exaltation.

Today's Mercury sextile Neptune is subtle. This is good energy for storytelling - for using our imagination. Good for visionary ideas and language. We might wake remembering our dreams. Ideas are AVAILABLE for the right person - the person who can make them REAL - to pick them like apples in an autumn orchard. This is good for learning (Mercury) through osmosis (Neptune), so would be a good time to hang out with the smartest person you know. Compassionate (Neptune) language (Mercury) is helpful (sextile). Siblings may be illusive or confusing. But Mercury in Capricorn is giving a Neptunian dream a structure to work with. Again this whole thing is subtle, but available. Talk to other people. The opportunity comes as one thought/conversation/idea drifts into another. People with planets/points near 14 degrees Capricorn or Pisces will feel its influence most.

While we slept the Aries Moon squared the Capricorn Sun at 23 degrees - the First Quarter Square; our monthly call to action. We'll likely feel its influence greatest until the Moon moves into Taurus at 1:31PM EST.

(or we could be feeling the Void Moon's call to rest!)

This is the young man with his fresh approach stonewalled with "this is the way we've always done it" or these are the rules. Young vs. old. Inexperienced vs tried and true. Courage vs clout. Anger/passion vs self-control. The young masculine energy fights with his father. The thing standing in our way is the thing that has always been standing in our way. Squares are tension/stress and so they make us uncomfortable. It is this very discomfort though that pushes us through.

We are past Mercury's meeting with Saturn - some things have already been decided.

Although Mercury is meeting Pluto at the end of the week, so who knows, time to push for what we want/are passionate about I think!

Aries/Capricorn is actually a love fest that only looks like a boxing tournament. After the fight is over - Aries bloodied and battered and Capricorn with tie askew and pockets picked clean - they always hit the pub for a beer.

And I guess that's where the Mercury/Neptune can come in .....

The Moon's move into comfy/cozy Taurus this afternoon should feel good!
