weekly astrology forecast | march 7th, 2022- March 13th, 2022 - more pisces and aquarius, less capricorn, a breather between last week's changes and next week's full moon

An easier week for most as the skies give us a bit of a reprieve and we begin to integrate everything that happened last week!

(yes, for once I am not writing 'this is an intense week' - changes though with Venus and Mars changing signs last Sunday and Mercury mid week - we are moving ahead!)

WEDNESDAY - Mercury into Pisces

THURSDAY - Vesta into Aquarius

SUNDAY - Sun conjuncts Neptune

On WEDNESDAY, Mercury enters Pisces.

Mercury ingresses from Aquarius into the sign of Pisces. Mercury rules our thinking, our communication, our ideas. He/she is considered in her fall/detriment in Pisces (because she rules Pisces polarity sign of Virgo). Virgo's Mercury likes things clear and concise - she wants B to follow A and is sure things would move more efficiently if everyone would just dot their i's and cross their t's.

Pisces (ruled by Neptune and ruler of our collective 12th house) is the space where rules/boundaries are more fluid. B might follow A. But just as easily A could drift right on past B. It is the space of imagination, universal love, our dreams, spirituality, our connection to each other through the ethereal realms and our emotions, the ways we escape, the things we do last, the things we put away, addictions, delusions, hospitals, prisons, addicts, victims, saviors, martyrs.

You can see how fast-moving Mercury could be a bit out-of-whack here.

So maybe our thinking slows down a bit. Our words drift off course. We started to say this and now we are saying that. The words that were so clear and crisp in airy Aquarius, don't come as easily because maybe we start feeling their impact on the other person now. Or maybe we start feeling like one of those old anti-drug commercials but instead of eggs - it is our brain frying on the sidewalk.

Details can be fuzzy. Our thinking might be, too.

With Pisces ruler of the last house of the zodiac maybe a conversation comes to an end now.

This is wonderful energy for artists, poets, musicians, meditation, spirituality, healing. With Mercury (ruler of Gemini) in this universal space our words can cast even more powerful S-P-E-L-L-S - keep this in mind. This is not such wonderful energy for to-do lists and more practical concerns, so double check communications. Re-read important papers. Give other people a break when their language isn't as concise as you would like it to be. When we just can't decide. Mercury in Pisces takes in so much universal information from the world that it becomes hard to take a singular stance. Our thinking becomes more intuitive. Cold facts are not so cold and hard decisions go limp. Lies might be spoken and take on a life of their own. That whole "alternative facts" thing applies.

It is the time to let our mental defenses down and just feel it. Or to guard against this very thing - depending on the situation!

We don't have to understand everything or figure everything out. Pisces dissolves. Pisces feels. Pisces is a water sign and heals through wetness - blood, sweat and tears (I would avoid the blood though if possible). If we want/need to cry, and even if it turns into one of those big old ugly cries that has our eyes all scrunched up two days later and people asking us what the hell is the matter - it's time to cry. You will probably not need me to tell you this though .....

If you really need to knuckle down mentally now it could be best to give Neptune some creative time - meditate, color, paint, etc, FIRST.

On THURSDAY,  Vesta enters Aquarius

Vesta, the energy of sacred devotion and absolute focus, moves from the sign of the past - Capricorn - into the sign of the future - Aquarius. Now, we have Venus, Mars, Saturn and Vesta in Aquarius and we have Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury in Pisces. Our Aquarius and Pisces houses are locked and loaded. With Vesta in airy Aquarius maybe things feel a little less personal. The fire that we need to keep burning is maybe a more universal flame than one in our actual living-room.

On SUNDAY, the Sun conjuncts Neptune at 22 degrees Pisces

Having the Sun conjunct Neptune while he is in Pisces answering to Neptune is not the same as having the Sun blow out a planet (in this case Neptune) by eclipsing him. Neptune is still strong here. I think we get the best of Neptune - the transcendence, without the mind-blowing bullsh*t. Our rose-colored glasses lose their rose-colored tinting while somehow still retaining their rose-coloring abilities. Does this make sense? An enlightened Neptune gets the solar light of the Sun. Illusions burned away. Clarity. Our big idealized dream is endorsed by the Sun. Something like that. Great for making art, meditating, healing, spirituality. This aspect can be exhausting though - get some extra sleep.

the astrology of the invasion of ukraine | part II - the invasion chart moves into early march, a change of focus, war of the Goddesses

Part I is HERE

At the end of the post I will recap the invasion chart and bring it up to date, but first I wanted to talk about the role of the asteroids/Goddesses in the Ukraine/Russia story.

It's obvious to everyone who isn't living under a rock (and I do sometimes feel I am living under a rock or want to find a nice big, smooth one, but still with some wifi access, of course, to hide under for a few hours) it is obvious we are living through extraordinary and challenging times. I know our ancestors did, too, and their ancestors, also, but our current journey into the New Age, the Age of Aquarius is, I think, rather special.

One way we have to explore what is happening in the world and in our own lives is through astrology - the study of the way the planets connect to the people and events here on Earth. The way our blueprints/birthcharts, that were created into physical form through us when we drew our first breath, actually work. This isn't fortune-telling and I am no fortune-teller. Astrology is a language - it's about using patterns and archetypes to tell the story, to see what makes things tick, explore what might happen, make our lives better.

I always think if a story can't be told through the main chart - sans all the centaurs and dwarf planets it is probably the wrong story. That is still true, I think, and THAT story was told in Part I and Part II is at the bottom of this post. But, the key to unlocking the REAL meaning behind so much of what is going on in these complicated times might be found in the dwarf/minor planets. Discovered with perfect timing and synchronistically named for Goddesses, they carry the ancestral stories of our grandmothers; the dominant female DNA codes - maybe that junk DNA, the scientists are not wanting to think about. This is why so much of the world is making no sense. We are having to learn to trust something we have been taught doesn't even exist.

Since part of the fall of the patriarchy/emerging of the equality of the Age of Aquarius is about the re-discovery and appreciation of the Goddess energies - let's take this pivotal moment and tell the story through the Goddesses and see if we can learn anything new.

We are going to tell this story/see this chart through Ceres (conjunct Russia's Sun), Juno (conjunct Ukraine's ascendant), Vesta (conjunct Putin's ascendant), Black Moon Lilith (conjunct Putin's Pluto/South Node), Pallas, and, of course, the one Goddess the patriarchy allowed us to keep, our own benevolent Venus (conjunct invasion chart's ascendant).

Mother bear archetype Ceres, conjunct Russia's Sun and very prominent in Russian historical event charts, is Mother Russia here. Ceres nearly destroyed the entire world to get her daughter Persephone back from Pluto, but in the end a complicated compromise was brokered. Ceres speaks of situations outside our control, season of life issues (what has run its course/whose time has come) and can also activate complicated concessions/successful settlements. Ceres is conjunct the North Node in the invasion chart and opposing the South Node - an important part of the story/way forward.

The Moon in the invasion chart (remember the Moon was Ukraine) has a sextile to asteroid Juno. Putin was having his Juno return, with Juno returning back to his birth position at the time of the invasion and Juno is conjunct Russia's Moon (her past) - Ukraine and Russia have deep roots.

With Juno EXACT on Ukraine's ascendant we can say Ukraine is Juno. Juno was a protector of the state, especially women and ruled marriage and contracts/cooperative arrangements, but also the things we don't want to look at too closely in order to preserve a contract or maintain our power through powerful allies or situations (because remember Juno was always needing to overlook hubby Jupiter's indiscretions to maintain her own position, she was Queen of the Gods, because of her marriage to Jupiter, the King of the Gods). Probably something in this about Ukraine's relationship to the Jupiter ruled United States. In the invasion chart we have Juno sextiling (opportunity) the Moon, but the Moon squaring Jupiter, Juno's hubby, who is ruling the Moon in this chart. Still, here is another powerful Goddess who isn't afraid to fight and has been known to cut a deal.

Vesta was at 22 degrees Capricorn WITH God-of-War Mars when the invasion started. There is a sacred focus here/THIS is where our attention needs to be, and this week she moves into Aquarius crossing the 'new world' degree. If Ceres is Russia and Juno is Ukraine, then Vesta conjunct Putin's ascendant is Putin in the Goddess War. Her move into Aquarius on the 10th can change his focus, move his attention from the past to the future. Maybe make things more cyber, but also maybe clear his head/thinking, allowing him to take things less personally.

Another important dwarf planet connected to Putin is Black Moon Lilith. She was at 24 degrees Gemini squaring Neptune. Putin has Black Moon Lilith on his Pluto/South Node, so her energy is strong in his past

(Putin has the same nodal axis, North Node 20 degrees Aquarius, South Node 20 degrees Leo - as Catherine the Great, leader of Russia during the American Revolution days, Pluto is back there now for the first time, AND Catherine had a BML/Sun conjunction. Catherine's real name was Sophie. We have two asteroids with this name, one tightly conjunct Putin's natal Venus, ruler of his natal Sun/Saturn and the other tightly conjunct his natal Pluto. Catherine was also rumored to be promiscuous in life and disrespected for it after her death - very 'Lilith-like').

Black Moon Lilith speaks of the first "Eve" ejected from paradise for demanding equal status with Adam and then demonized. "Liliths" are often vilified as 'evil'/wrathful women who need to be exiled when what is really happening here is that the patriarchy has no intention of sharing power. This treatment feels like part of Putin's story to me/ he feels exiled. Seeing Putin as a monster in this story isn't going to help anyone.

Pallas was in Aries in the 2nd house of the invasion chart sextiling the Moon. Pallas in Aries is a strong war Goddess. Strategic. Smart. Her waning sextile to the Moon (Ukraine in the invasion chart) shows some readiness/preparation on their part. And, of course Eris is still at 23 degrees Aries. Shaking up the world. Sedna, the transformational Goddess, is sandwiched between Ceres and the North Node. She speaks of not only what we can't depend on, but counting on things being better than they turn out to be. Conjunct Ceres, I am connecting her energy to Russia here.

And, of course, our beloved Venus, having tried to save the world with her back and forth through Capricorn is on the ascendant of the chart. IS the event in a way. Venus, at 21 degrees Capricorn, having been outplayed, for the moment, by war-God Mars at master number 22 Cappy. The number 21 is a power number, too, though. In the iChing it is the hexagram of 'biting through' - what needs to happen to get to the truth/get to the 'beauty'.

When we come to the time of 'biting through' - resting content with appearances may be easier, but it is no longer enough.

We will have to see where this 'biting through' event leaves the world.

Some of the other important hexagrams we can think about - Saturn at 18 Cappy is 'corruption' - this is the chart ruler/Russia. In ancient China, ancestors angered by neglect would send sickness and misfortune. This is corruption in the iChing which is something like a curse. This is echoed by last week's journey of Venus and Mars through the underworld of Pluto. As they move into Aquarius on March 6th - we could be said to be PAST the curse/the curse has lifted (the story continues to be played out, but the underpinnings of the story are dead). The Moon at 7 degrees is 'the army' - this is Ukraine. This hexagram follows arguing and speaks of crowds of people, energies and resources gathering around a focal point of grievance - the emotions that begin as indignation become an inner reserve of strength.

Venus is also Zelenskyy (unsure of spelling) with his natal EXACT Venus/Sun. Transiting Venus will conjunct Zelenskyy's natal Sun/Venus on March 12th with Saturn EXACT on his mid-heaven and a stellium in his 9th house of foreigners - HUGE time/spotlight for him.

Now, let's go back and recap the invasion chart and then bring the chart up to date and see what we learn. To recap:

At the time of the invasion Capricorn was rising over Ukraine. The ruler of Capricorn (the aggressor here) is Saturn, so we read this chart as Saturn is Russia. Saturn is about authority, the father, boundaries, rules. Saturn was in Aquarius in the 1st house. As the ancient ruler of Aquarius, he is strong here, and there was, at the time of the invasion, a bundle of planets in Capricorn and Aquarius answering to him. He is squared by Uranus - rebellion, individuals - and squared by the mid-heaven - the world, reputation. So, Russia is troubled by revolutionaries and the world at large, but he is strong in the chart. Not without his problems though with those squares.

The 7th house (opposite the ruler/ascendant) is Cancer, so the ruler of Ukraine is the Moon.

The Moon is about emotions, the mother, home, family, in mundane charts like these the Moon rules 'the people'. Both Saturn and the Moon are about the past, so we know already whatever is happening has very old roots. The Moon was in Sagittarius in the 10th house. The 10th house, Saturn's natural house is not a good place for the Moon. But Sagittarius pulls in fiery emotions, optimism, hope, faith, an ability to bond with foreigners, adjust to changing circumstances, the Moon's need for space if the Moon feels smothered. In Sagittarius the Moon is answering to Jupiter, strong in Pisces, his own ancient rulership. Jupiter pulls in Piscean help - ancestral help, prayers, compassion and Jupertarian help - foreign aid, hope, faith, etc.

The chart looked better for Saturn (Russia). The 'end of the matter' landed in Taurus which rules land/resources/money and answers to Venus, who was in Capricorn answering to Saturn. More 'Saturn wins' kind of energy. But what does winning mean in this nightmare? And Venus has already left Capricorn, so Saturn/Russia has already lost some advantage here. By April 5th, Venus will be in Pisces and answering to Jupiter (Ukraine). But that feels like a long time away for the people of Ukraine ...

Move the chart ahead to Sunday, March 6th - Venus and Mars join together - remember it was Mars getting past Venus on February 24th and tackling that uber HOT 22 degrees Capricorn ALONE (the degree Saturn met Pluto AND Ceres and Mercury and the Sun in January 2020 on the day China called the WHO and reported the virus had jumped countries, ie the definition of a pandemic, ie "houston we have a problem") that triggered this whole thing - at the very END OF CAPRICORN (end of Saturn) and they move into Aquarius TOGETHER. Then Venus moves PAST MARS, because she is faster than Mars and only ended up behind him in the first place because of her recent retrograde, as she was trying to save the world. Yes, again.

As they move into Aquarius, they cross over 0 degrees Aquarius TOGETHER, now this is the OTHER HOT degree from our world-changing 2020, this time from the end of 2020/winter solstice when Jupiter met Saturn and "the world started up again" (whatever our personal thoughts about the vaccines are, collectively we can think "vaccine" here). So, that 0 degrees Aquarius is now infused with this kind of imperfect and controversial "new world" energy, and Mars has NOT been here since that degree was activated. This week, Venus will be ahead of Mars (only by seconds, but that's all it took for Mars to do his job, maybe that's all it will take for Venus - when Venus pulls ahead of Mars is our first real chance for peaceful negotiations, prayers for an early end to this nightmare).

Keep in mind this degree was activated by JUPITER and SATURN and those are the planets ruling Ukraine and Russia in the invasion chart.

Maybe this week, as Venus pulls ahead and both Mars and Venus move into the sign of the future we will have some real energy focused on SOMETHING NEW. Cooler heads can prevail. Smarter. Future-focused. Yes, Mars in Aqua will likely pull in cyber warfare tactics, but Venus will get to everything before he does, which should make him less damaging/make whatever is happening somehow more helpful (keeping in mind energies seek balance and karma and are not so concerned with right and wrong). Venus wants to bring peace, cooperation, balance. And she rules the 4th house/end of the matter in the invasion chart, so we know this is how this ends, we just don't know when or what has to happen before we get there.

Before Mars and Venus join hands and jump into Aquarius, Mercury (in Aquarius) is going to square the Nodes of Fate. Mercury in the invasion chart was squaring Uranus and sextiling Chiron, so bringing challenging, (#unexpected,#not totally unexpected) news, that was both traumatic and at the same time also healing some very old wounds. Mercury in Aquarius is exactly squaring the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio. Mercury rules the 5th house (which can be kind of reckless) and the 8th house (death, transformation) of the invasion chart, so words/information are going to be crucial/tense/frustrating.

Some kind of corner must be turned before Mars and Venus move from earth into air (Cappy to Aqua). Let's pray this leans into Taurus, the North Node and chart's 4th house of family, home and country prioritizing that and not stay stuck in that Scorpio 10th house of reputation, competition, the cold-headed/cold-hearted terms of winner-take-all capitalistic 'success'.

On March 9th, Mercury moves into Pisces, the 2nd house (money, resources, self-esteem) of the invasion chart, so those dwindling resources as the result of the invasion will be more strongly felt. Talked about. Taken into consideration. Conversations/negotiations can drift off course. But maybe words can become more compassionate. Boundaries loosen.

On March 10th, Vesta is going to move into Aquarius - the future will be more strongly valued than the past now. What lies ahead of us/the new world (she crosses 0 degrees Aqua here, too) is keeping us up at night, becomes our sacred focus instead of worry about the old world/old goals. Remember Putin IS Vesta in the Goddess chart, so his focus can change now.

On March 12th, Zelenskyy's chart is getting lots of attention - transiting Venus on his Sun/Venus, followed by transiting Mars with Saturn on his mid-heaven (recognition, effectiveness) AND Saturn on Putin's North Node (destiny).  Big week here as this stuff builds, hits and unwinds.

We will have to see what the week ahead brings. The weekly for all of us is HERE

Back with Part II of the U.S. Pluto return chart this week.

venus moves into aquarius and mutual reception with uranus - change is good

On Sunday, both Venus and Mars will ingress into Aquarius. Then they meet on MONDAY.

After that meeting, Venus picks up her pace, starts pulling ahead of Mars.

(maybe next week is when peace talks/reconciliations can happen in Ukraine or if we get past this with no progress, maybe it will be after Venus gets past Uranus on the 22nd - we will likely have some kind of mid-month crisis before peace if that is the case - or when she meets Saturn at the end of March. There are multiple opportunities in March, some better than others. I am going to look at the charts this weekend for Russia/Ukraine, but benevolent Venus catching up with and then getting ahead of warrior Mars on Monday/Tuesday SHOULD HELP).

Venus has been in Capricorn, due to her long retrograde, since NOVEMBER, so we will surely personally feel this shift from earth into air. For some situations, things can lighten. A little more breathing room comes in. A higher perspective is available. Cappy is intense and goal-oriented and Aqua can toss some of this off.

For people with fixed planets/points, things can start to feel MORE intense/tighten up/the pressure building as Venus and Mars move into the sign that puts them on their direct path to their clashes with Uranus - ruler of Aquarius - and meetings with Saturn - ancient ruler of Aquarius.

Venus and Mars (like Mercury has done and is doing) pull the Saturn/Uranus square back into play through them. The old vs the new.

The squares with Uranus comes first - Venus on the 19th and Mars on the 22nd. Change can't be avoided, but impulsivity maybe should be.

Let's look at Venus.

As she moves through Aquarius she will make contact with not only any planets/points we have in Aquarius (here is where Saturn comes in at the end of March), but also the planets/points we have in Leo (by opposition), in Scorpio and Taurus (by square - here is where Uranus in Taurus comes in at the middle of March and here is where the Nodes of Fate come in around the time of Saturn) and other planets, too, through degree (by sextile, etc).

This is where knowing our natal chart can come in handy.

As a collective influence, for all of us, Venus moves out of Capricorn (the rules) and into Aquarius (the space we let go of the rules).

Beautiful Venus drops her briefcase full of "shoulds". She takes her hair out of its tightly constructed bun and shakes her head. She kicks off her too-tight, office-ready pumps. She wears whatever she wants to wear now. She can do whatever she wants to do now. There is no one to impress in this new space. There is no one to answer to (except there kind of is, and here is where astrology is helpful because we know she will meet up with daddy Saturn at the end of the month).

Now subconsciously we all feel this - a kind of relief as Venus disentangles us a bit from what is required of us to be 'acceptable'. Maybe we start to notice (attract) things we would have otherwise missed. The strange and unusual will catch our eye now. We will be attracted to things/situations/solutions/people that are different. Ruled by unpredictable Uranus, Aquarius is the space that is hard to forecast. When we step outside the rules (Uranus is outside Saturn's boundaries) our outcomes become less predictable, too.

And, this isn't just an average year with Venus leaving Capricorn after a few WEEKS for Aquarius. This year Venus has been in Capricorn for MONTHS.

She has been through Pluto (death/rebirth) THREE times. She brought us Omicron to take out Delta (omicron announced as Venus reached 22 degrees Cappy "time runs out" for the first time), she has calmed Mars down (he sneaked past her on the 24th as he, Mars himself, crossed "time runs out" and  Russia moved into Ukraine).

I would suspect she, as 'we', is tired, not always a bad thing - a world-weariness born of both success and loss. She has been humbled, but has also proved herself. I doubt she is taking any sh*t.

Between now and until she gets past that tense/frustrating square to Uranus mid-month (change/the future) there will be this building PRESSURE TO CHANGE. The things that cannot stay as they were - Venus in Cappy has just died and been reborn three times people! - just CANNOT stay as they were.

And you will know if you are still carrying this 'dead' thing/situation.

You will feel the weight of its lifelessness.

This doesn't mean we have to make some impulsive break (sometimes it does), but something has to change. In Aquarius we can step back a little bit, SEE the situation more clearly. Apply logic/intelligence. With Mars, by Venus's side, it will be easier to take SMART/NEW ACTION. Also, to burn a bridge we might not want to burn, so be careful. But not so careful that dead thing/situation gets dragged into our meeting with Saturn at the end of March because by then things are getting shored up, better to make the change BEFORE that cement gets poured. You can see where I am going with this.

The square to Uranus mid-month is challenging.

Venus/Uranus detaches us from what we once thought was valuable/beautiful/what we once loved.

This might not sound like a good thing, but HERE is a good thing - Venus in Aquarius is answering to Uranus and Uranus is in Taurus answering to Venus. This mutual reception means both planets have access to their own energetic signature.

The change isn't as upsetting as a typical Venus/Uranus might be. Doesn't need to land us on our ass. The change - which Uranus MUST EVOKE in us - brings Venus back to HERSELF/Taurus where she is VERY STRONG. The change brings new value - new resources/money/relationships/love. The change brings new beauty. Now, in Taurus which is fixed earth, the good stuff grows over time, but we can KNOW the change is bringing us good stuff over time.

When these energetic portals open (a Venus/Uranus square is a portal) TIMELINES SHIFT.

Sometimes we are standing at a portal with many available timelines and sometimes we have painted ourselves into a corner (or maybe fate is very insistent we get on with something) with only one way forward - and sometimes this way 'forward', is yes, side-ways or backwards. This one in Aqua is most assuredly forward/new, though.

Life knows what it's doing.

Anyway, I am going to get to the Russia/Putin/Ukraine charts this weekend, but wanted to toss this up.

Fixed people and placements - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius placements - are back in the sauce. This isn't a bad thing. It's just different.

When the world needs change desperately the fixed folks are called into action because here is where change can create SEISMIC shifts (cardinal people are always starting which is a kind of change and mutable people are always changing, which is, well ...change). It's the fixed energies, the people and places and situations that hold everything together that are standing at that timeline that's been painted into a corner.

For example, hubs, an Aquarius fellow, started a new job this week. He had a business for 20 years and since the pandemic has now had a longish gap, so hasn't had a job in a very long time. It's been hard. The new job and giving up the life he made without it. Not bad, he says, but hard. These are the kinds of changes I would expect to see. Hard, but not bad. Themed around our Venusian and Mars situations and bringing gifts that are more visible as time goes on. We'll talk more about Mars in the weekly.

March is a BIG month. April is BIGGER.

Back with the charts for Russia/Putin/Ukraine this weekend and then the week ahead.

new moon in pisces | march 2, 2022 - a lucky and liberating beginning, real changes to the order of things, reality checks, karmic endings, the new dream, watering our own roots

What a chart! Look at all the planets/energies TOGETHER (no wonder life on planet Earth is so intense!) - all the inner/personal planets are in conjunctions, connected tightly with other planets/energies and three are EXACT TODAY.

Have I seen this before? NO. Conjunctions bring results and also start new cycles, so although today is a New Moon monthly cycle (Moon/Sun) it ALSO kicks off other new cycles - a Mars/Pluto cycle, a Venus/Pluto cycle, a Mercury/Saturn cycle and we have a Sun/Jupiter new cycle starting on Saturday and Venus/Mars on Sunday! What magic is this, folks?!

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022 - the Pisces Moon meets the Pisces Sun at 12 degrees giving us this month's New Moon, the final New Moon of our astrological year - our annual New Moon in Pisces.

Pisces is a mutable sign. The mutable signs prepare us for the change into the next season and this Moon really has her work cut out for her! New Moons are the time to set new intentions and working with Pisces themes (and the theme of your Pisces natal house) NOW allow the natural energies to flow with us.

All beginnings are endings, too, and since Pisces collectively rules our 12th house of endings, Pisces new beginnings sometimes have more to do with the ending. Maybe something needs to be forgiven/dissolved/discarded/fully grieved. And something wants to START. Think seeds into the ground. A new chapter.

Time to dream BIG!

As the Moon naturally waxes (grows) over the next two weeks, and over the next 6 months until the Pisces Full Moon, so does whatever our intentions have set into motion - thoughts becoming things/our words energetically lining us up with what we are seeking, which is, of course, as Rumi said, "seeking us right back".

Besides the monthly lunar energy of "new beginnings" this particular Moon has its own relationship with the other players in the heavens based on its position. That is where the real juice of any particular New Moon can be found.

Now let's unpack the chart!

The Moon is conjunct the Sun at 12 degrees Pisces. The Moon/Sun conjuncts Jupiter (who is conjunct asteroid Nessus) - this aspect is applying and STRONG. Jupiter is the ancient ruler of Pisces making this aspect even stronger/more Piscean. Pisces modern ruler Neptune is also in Pisces - so Pisces is where the buck stops for this one. The New Moon is sextile (opportunity) Uranus in Taurus.

At the same Mercury is conjunct Saturn EXACT and we can see that powerful EXACT lineup in powerful Capricorn - Mars, Venus, Pluto and asteroid Amycus. Uranus is squaring Juno and Juno is sextiling Chiron.

The sextile to Uranus speaks of liberating opportunities through change. The future is reaching back to meet us.

The conjunction to Jupiter speaks of expansion, hope, luck. What makes Jupiter lucky? Well, believing we are lucky for one thing. Optimism. Confidence. Believing in something bigger than ourselves. Having faith. Taking something further. Going out on a limb. Jupiter tells us we can't be playing small with whatever we are starting here. We need to be playing a bigger game to get the most from this energy. We need to RISE to the occasion.

The fly in the ointment with Jupiter, and this is amplified in Pisces, is taking things too far, thinking things are too good/too big. What's the difference between 'big' and 'too big' - well, that's the part we need to figure out! Delusions, exaggerations are possible, so we need to keep one foot on the ground now. Asteroid Nessus on Jupiter might also bring a warning of relying on or trusting untrustworthy people/situations.

Luckily for us, and this isn't usually what we would call a 'lucky' aspect, we have Mercury's annual powwow with Saturn going on RIGHT NOW.

Foot to the ground needed? Well here is that nail through our sneaker (I hope you are wearing some old shoes for this one).

After Mercury's back and forth through Cappy, here he is with daddy Saturn, ready to 'seal the deal'. This is a REALITY CHECK. Limit. Responsibility. Commitment. Maybe we have to say "no" or hear a "no". News can be challenging. Saturn conjunctions can bring endings/results - we talked about how Pisces New Moons can be more about the 'ending' and this is kind of doubling down on this. So, maybe this is speaking of something that has gotten too big or elusive/escapist and at this Mercury/Saturn there is a need to face reality/trim it back.

Or maybe we are taking on a new responsibility/making a commitment we are ready for. In this case, the Jupertarian New Moon can really bring in luck/expansion.

Juno has just sextiled Chiron - a healing through giving our relationships/contracts a little more space and now she squares Uranus EXACT. This speaks of a curve ball tossed into our relationships/contracts. The Moon's sextile to Uranus will help integrate changes, show us the opportunity here.

FOR EXAMPLE - let's say you are a SCORPIO RISING with a 5th house Pisces - the NEW is coming into your house of creativity, self-expression, children, romance, fun. The change, that will likely connect to this new beginning is coming through your 7th house - other people, a partner. The reality check is coming to your 4th house of home and family, this is likely connected in some way to the changes with/through a partner, open enemy or contract, but may not be. Or let's say you are a VIRGO RISING with a 7th house Pisces - the NEW is coming into your house of partners, partnerships, contract - something here is starting. The change, that will likely connect to this new beginning is coming through your 9th house - growth, expansion, stepping outside your comfort zone, foreign people/situations, travel, education, legal issues, religion. The reality check is coming to your 6th house of your daily routine/obligations, your health, your work. This is likely all connected, but sometimes speaks of different things.

The lineup in Capricorn is bringing intensity to our relationships and finances and our careers. Maybe our attention to authority, father figures, world events. Our actions are sober/serious/goal oriented. With Venus/Mars on Pluto, and Pluto not only being Pluto, but also ruling the South Node now (what we are releasing) there is the opportunity through this New Moon energy to UNLOAD very old ancestral/past life/childhood karmic baggage regarding the way we value ourselves and other people. The way we do relationships/mirror. The way we work with resources and money. The way we show up in the world.

At the same time this Cappy stellium is bringing real changes to the order of things collectively and personally. This is all part of our progress into the Age of Aquarius/the unraveling of the Age of Pisces.

Avoid intoxicants because life will be intoxicating enough this week. Get enough rest. Our nighttime dreams can be intense, too. A Pisces New Moon will often be tinged with release/nostalgia.

The Moon's most  important and tight aspect is that conjunction to expansive Jupiter. Something is wanting to GROW. Someone is going to get lucky. And with Pisces, this can all work backwards too. Change we set into motion now impacts our past, past lives and previous generations.

Can we water our own roots with a little Jupiter/Neptune magic? Damn right, we can!

NEW MOON INTENTIONS

This is an excellent time for energetic support to make changes with things ruled by Pisces (and our Pisces natal house theme!) including our imagination, art, music, the past, compassion, releasing our victim stories, releasing self-sabotage, healing our ancestral wounds, healing addictions, spiritual healing, spirituality, meditation, sensitivity, trust, escapism, our lymphatic system, colds, our feet, toxicity.

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a positive frame of mind - meaning both happy and certain - a quiet, clean space where you can be alone - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud - then let's release our attention from these things knowing that your intention is known.

Know these things are already yours.

xo all

For the first time in a long time, I am not going to set any intentions this month. Time to shut up for me I think. I am just going to do my normal clean my space/not use too many words the day of the New Moon/burn a white candle and just ask life/my higher self/my ancestors/God to guide my journey this cycle. It's my Jupiter return, too, so we'll see where all this goes ....
