weekly astrology forecast | November 6th to 12th, 2023 - a busy week, the conversation changes, what we want changes, reality checks hit, breakthroughs and breakdowns, don't start a fire unless you want to burn the whole place down

This is a BIG and busy week - with two planets changing signs and running into Saturnian challenges ie reality checks, as soon as they do, there is likely to be restrictions, limits, time pressures, as the conversation changes as well as what we want. 

We also have this month's powerful, and dicey, Mars/Uranus clash to finish off the week with a chaotic BANG. 

The good news - important trines (brakes off) to start the week we will want to take advantage of - some good productive Moons, and Venus, after her summer of discontent, FINALLY comes home to Libra. 

Let's unpack the week!

MONDAY - Venus trine Pluto, Mercury trine Neptune and inconjunct North Node

WEDNESDAY - Venus enters Libra and inconjuncts Saturn, Mercury sextile Pluto, Sun inconjunct Chiron

FRIDAY - Mercury enters Sagittarius and squares Saturn

SATURDAY - Mars opposite Uranus

On MONDAY - with Pluto at the end of Cappy and Saturn at the beginning of Pisces, most planets changing signs will be interacting with BOTH of them as they do. This is in play right out of the gate as Venus, at the end of Virgo, trines Pluto at the end of Capricorn. 

This is especially powerful energy for ending things, cutting something out or committing to something smoothly/easily. Any personal planet's contact with Pluto, even smooth contacts, can make things feel INTENSE, like life and death, and both Venus and Mercury are interacting with Pluto this week. Buckle up. Venus/Pluto can be obsessive, but also empowering. Merged money and intimate situations can come up. Desires can be extreme. 

At the same time, Mercury is trining Neptune and inconjunct the North Node. Good for our imagination, intuitive knowing, spirituality, compassion, music, escape, but the inconjunct to the North Node warns against confusion/delusion with this one. 

On WEDNESDAY - Venus comes home to Libra until December 4th. 

After being cramped up in tidy Virgo, she can breathe again and there is room for other people. Venus in Libra is about love and partnership, collaboration and compromise. Venus in Libra is about balance.

This makes Libra Suns and Risings, who are already naturally attractive, even more so - both physically attractive and more able to attract what they want/need. Everyone's Libra house gets more attractive, too.

We will be attracted to what we find 'beautiful'. We will be attracted to what we find 'just'. We will be attracted to what we find 'peaceful'. And these are the qualities people will find attractive in us and our work in the world. These are the qualities we'll want to bring to the table (and yes, flowers, that would be a good thing to bring to the table now, too) to attract whatever we are wanting to attract now.

With Venus in Libra the potential for people pleasing increases, too, so balance is the key now. Making life too much about the other person is Libra's shadow side. It's easier, or I should say, lazier, to just give in to something to have "harmony" than to work out the win-wins. We need to honor ourselves as well as the other person. In Libra, there is power in groups and alliances - but the emphasis (for now) is on the shared human experience of connection rather than on what might emerge later. It's not the time for thinking about how it will all play out, what we are getting or giving. It's just the time for the experience. We come into real harmony when we can see each other clearly. We don't have to always agree with each other. This is a lesson I learned from Trump. Sometimes it is easy to forget this. 

As soon as Venus gets into Libra, she moves into an inconjunct with Saturn. So, maybe there is something we can't have. A disconnect between making something beautiful and REALITY or being in harmony with someone else and REALITY or balance and, you guessed it, REALITY. 

Or maybe extra responsibilities or work or commitments are added to our plate and that thing we thought we wanted becomes a little less shiny. Venus/Saturn can make us feel what we are missing. Old. Not so shiny ourselves. Inconjuncts are aspects of discontent, so there is likely some kind of adjustment needed here and the knowledge that nothing will be exactly perfect. 

At the same time, now, it's Mercury's turn to interact with powerful Pluto. 

Mercury, at the end of Scorpio, sextiles Pluto, at the end of Capricorn. Secrets can come out. Important information. We might be mercilessly candid with ourselves and other people. Whatever this is, there is an OPPORTUNITY here. Maybe a door must close before another door can open. 

On FRIDAY - Mercury - the ruler of our minds, thinking, communication, the process and physical means of getting things from point A to point B, our local environment, our siblings - comes up from the depths of Scorpio and moves into the "sky's-the-limit" space of Sagittarius.

The scope of information available to us broadens. All the little details we have been immersed in during Mercury's transit through Scorpio fade from view a bit. It's like we have applied a wide angle lens to our camera. There is more to see (know) but less to specifically look at.

Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter) is optimistic energy.

So those big bodacious ideas will carry us further now. People will be thinking and talking BIG. Making BIG plans. Using BIG persuasive, language. It's a good time to sell your "whatever it is", but also a good time to be sold a bill of goods. Keep in mind that words and information could mislead us as our focus moves away from those pesky details and onto the larger landscape.

And now, like Venus before him/her, Mercury's change of signs moves him right into a square with Saturn. Here is a REALITY CHECK. A roadblock. A clash with authority. A limit. A "no". Things that can't be said. Challenging news or information. Squares bring tension and frustration that require action. Squares to Saturn require we take responsibility/accountability for (Mercury) our plans, words, work, thoughts. Saturn is walking degrees he has walked before, so maybe here is when some words we already said/heard come back to bite.

On SATURDAY - Mars in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. This could bring a big, fiery ENDING/result.

This is the week's BIG transit and could be felt earlier in the build-up. 

BREAKTHROUGHS. BREAK-UPS. BREAKDOWNS. Expect the unexpected. Collectively we are talking about Scorpio themes - merged money, life and death situations, intimacy, psychology, your natal Scorpio house theme - SHAKEN UP. 

Don't start a fire unless you want to burn the whole place down, maybe yourself included. Scorpio is fixed water - endings are permanent, so keep this in mind. No dark alleys. Step away from confrontations which can get out of hand. 

This is all part of the build-up to next week's fiery New Moon in Scorpio opposing Uranus which will pull us into the future ... ready or not.

There are productive ways to use this powerful energy. MAKE STRATEGIC/DEEP CHANGES. Best case - we have to be fast on our feet and reacting, via action and not anger, to things that are outside our control. Best case - we are taking LIBERATING ACTION. The Moon will be finishing up in Libra, going off on a square to Pluto - so power struggles within relationships could set this off. Forewarned is forearmed. 

There is a lit fuse on a keg of dynamite, know this going into the week. 

If we have no choice, but to deal with the dynamite - ie the fuse is already lit - what can we do? Can being responsible/accountable or maybe compassionate - ie doing our Saturn in Pisces - put out this fire? Or knowing there is a lit keg of dynamite, can we use the blast in a strategic way? Is there something that needs to be destroyed? Even symbolic action is useful in 'de-fusing' tense situations this week. Decluttering/demolition comes to mind.   

The Moon will be in Scorpio by the time this aspect is exact and trining Saturn, so feet on the ground.
