weekly astrology forecast | february 17th to 23rd, 2025 - relationship long chapter starts, big promises, resistance to change, keeping the faith, walking our talk, MARS STATIONS DIRECT - the war has come home, whatever is important is whatever is happening

I just couldn't get myself to finish off Part II of the Valentine's post. I love Catherine and William - their astro is amazing and I will get to them at some point, but Taylor and Travis, I just don't have the enthusiasm for looking :) If someone really wants to see it, leave a comment and I will pop back to it at some point.

This week we have three planetary bodies changing signs and one - MARS!  - finally changing direction.

Note - Mars won't actually move off 17 degrees Cancer for about three weeks, so we will have to see how much this change of direction impacts things.

17 Cancer is Trump's natal REQUIEM and Musk's natal REQUIEM (Vance's natal Memoria), so I suspect the funerals/endings of governmental programs, etc, will continue - and could be literally saving Trump's life/giving this REQUIEM/Mars energy something to do

The Democratic party, established January 8, 1828, has a 17 degree Capricorn Sun - so Mars is opposing the Democrat's Sun, an open challenge, and in a tight conjunction - ie reality check - to the Democrat's Saturn (authority). The South Node currently on the Democrats Moon is a time of deep introspection, but Mars station on their IC/Saturn should give them some agency, also anger. I guess we will see what they do with it.

In the meantime, Trump, Musk and Vance all need to be incredibly careful of their personal safety for the next few weeks. Most especially Trump.

(17 degrees is important in Germany's 1949 natal chart, too, with multiple planets at 17 degrees. Mars station/squat here is in a square - tension/frustration - with Germany's Moon (the people), sextile - creative opportunity - with their natal Mars in Taurus (slow and steady action in their 4th house of home/roots) and semi-sextile - friction/can't see each other - Germany's natal Mercury (news, information, transportation). Important stuff with collective ramifications happening in Germany.)

Let's unpack the week!

MONDAY - Sun square Juno

TUESDAY - Sun enters Pisces

WEDNESDDAY - Juno enters Sagittarius

THURSDAY - Mercury square Jupiter, Third Quarter Moon

SUNDAY - Mercury trine Mars, Ceres enters Pisces, MARS STATIONS DIRECT

MONDAY to WEDNESDAY - we have the Sun squaring Juno at the very end of Aquarius and Scorpio. Then they quickly both change signs. Aquarian groups/tech/forward-leaning goals are not in line with a partnership agreement/marriage. This is detachment and intellect - Aquarius - vs deep entrenchment/intimacy/merging - Scorpio. On Monday, the Moon in Libra will be trining the Aquarius Sun, so this is the way through this tension/frustration. Diplomacy. Cooperation, Kindness. Keep things a bit detached/friendly. Don't get overly emotional. Keep things balanced and give a partner some space.

At some point on Monday the Moon will move into Scorpio and square Pluto making everyone more emotional/intense. Power struggles are possible. Things can feel more life and death than they actually are and people will be holding onto every grievance and thing that has ever happened to them - just keep this in mind.

Then the Sun moves into Pisces and needs a break, so we will, too. Pisces is a mutable sign and is about the transition from fixed air - everyone dug into their position/everyone knowing it all - and cardinal fire - the new spark. Exhale. Release what you can't control - knowing the North Node is in Pisces and bigger hands have the wheel (!). Let things flow into and out of view a bit. Pray. Meditate. Make art and music. Dance.

The Sun will be in Pisces during next month's MEGA-PISCES stellium, so something bigger than usual is being set up here.

Stay flexible. Be more compassionate - people really don't have to agree with us.

Juno into Sagittarius is good news for relationships that have been eviscerated in Scorpio. Here is some blue sky and green grass. Relationships, marriages and our relationship to power become more optimistic and idealistic. Although with Juno in Sag, some will be looking for JUSTICE. The open road, and view of those blue skies, will be important for relationships started now. No one will want to be penned in.

Due to her upcoming retrograde, Juno is only going to get to 1 degree Sag (!), when, on March 19th, she is going to station retrograde.

This is peak March Madness/Eclipse season, so this brief - coming up for air - within our relationships (Juno also is one of the rulers of women, especially partnered women) is going to then pull us back into the depths of Scorpio.

More reviews of how we merge, get intimate, partner for power, etc. JUNO (as us) WILL BE BACK WHERE WE ARE NOW ON OCTOBER 1ST. So, keep in mind this is another long chapter.

THURSDAY - Mercury, at 11 degrees Pisces, moves into a square with Jupiter retrograde, at 11 degrees Gemini. This is powered up by their mutual reception. There could be BIG NEWS or a big opportunity - note, it could be inflated/not totally real. Something from the past comes back around for another look. Mercury is floating along in Pisces and Jupiter from busy and communicative Gemini says - hey, don't forget about this! "This" can even be more than one "this". The caveat here with Mercury in limitless Pisces and Jupiter's propensity for over-doing - we might say too much/over-promise/be wearing rose-colored glasses. Some promises can be EMPTY. With Mercury in Pisces sometimes the important words are those that are not spoken. Use your intuition. The square of Mercury/Jupiter in Pisces/Gemini is about big changes that are uncomfortable/fast. There can be alot of resistance to changing things now even if those changes can be beneficial in the long run.

This is also the day of this lunar cycle's Third Quarter Square with the Moon in Sagittarius squaring the Sun in Pisces. Sag/Pisces squares can be a kind of crisis of faith. Maybe what we believe is dissolving/fading. Can we just let this space sit empty for a bit rather than rushing to fill it with something else we need to believe in/want to be true? Have faith. Know that with Pisces sometimes a sacrifice is needed. Is there something we need to release/give up before next week's New Moon in Pisces?

SUNDAY - Mercury now reaches 17 degrees Pisces and trines - brakes off - our retrograde Mars in Cancer. This is early in the day EST (Mars station direct comes in the evening). Mars final aspect retrograde is this trine. Words and actions are working together. Words and conversations bring movement. Movement brings SMOOTH FLOW forward. With Mars retrograde this will have its feet in the past.

Ceres enters Pisces. Since Pisces is the last sign this is making me think about Ceres letting go of her daughter Persephone. Change of life situations that show us what is NO LONGER OURS. Of course, this 'letting go thing' is easier said than done because we are talking about something we have nurtured/nourished/maybe birthed. This is about releasing our grip or maybe just our expectations. Ceres will be in Pisces until May 16th, when she will enter Aries where she will retrograde. So, during MARCH MADNESS Ceres is going to be involved in the Pisces stellium that is no less than changing the world. What am I talking about? Well, this is Pisces, so I can't really know what I am talking about. I am just glad the North Node (best way forward) is in there, too!

Now, Mars, after what has felt like forever (December 2024 feels like 100 years ago) - stations DIRECT.

What has been held up will start to MOVE FORWARD. Situations can turn around. Things that were going one way can suddenly start going another way. Fires that have been left smoldering will need to be put out. Some things that have been back-burnered will move front and center (don't ignore them!). This has been the retrograde tasked with BRINGING THE WAR HOME and with Mars settled into the same spot for the next three weeks we will see more of what this means.

Of note this week is that both Juno and Ceres change signs. Since Juno is prominent in Ukraine's chart and Ceres is prominent in Russia's, we will take a look at that in the next post when we go back to the Goddess Wars we talked about a couple years ago.
