On Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 7:01AM EST, the Aquarius Moon at 28 degrees catches up with the Aquarius Sun giving us this month's New Moon - our annual New Moon in Aquarius. Happening so near the Moon's North Node (at 8 degrees Pisces) makes this one a Solar Eclipse.
Something is ending/starting. Something is being eclipsed out. Something gets an electrically generated REBOOT. Fresh starts with this New Moon might involve surprises/shocks that are loud and unsettling or loud and exciting. Our response is healing very old wounds.
This Eclipse is conjunct the United States natal Moon (Sibley chart) and a chart tossed for Washington DC shows the Eclipse exact on the Ascendent of the chart. Because this is a Solar Eclipse, the Sun is obscured - the king/the leader/the ego is HIDDEN. Something is obscured, paused, or overridden before a new orientation emerges. The Eclipse opposes Trump's ascendent (his physicality, visibility, posture, how his power meets the public space) and is tightly conjunct his descendent. An Eclipse on someone's descendent could bring out something like a 'masked conflict' - hidden enemy, hidden health issue, hidden partner, etc.
Eclipses are powerful resets. The computer is turned off (Sun/power obscured) and when it starts back up again changes in its operating system take effect. It's something like that with us now. Our Aquarius house, our natal Suns, our natal Moons ...
Let's unpack the chart!
The Moon and Sun sit at 28-degrees Aquarius. The New Moon is conjunct the North Node of Fate making this an Eclipse. The New Moon squares Uranus (in Taurus) - separating (the shock comes before the new). The New Moon is answering to Aqua's ancient ruler Saturn and modern ruler Uranus. Uranus is in Taurus (squaring the Moon) and still conjunct malevolent fixed star Algol and answering to Venus, in Pisces, who is EXACTLY conjunct the North Node. This is the aspect that powers up this Eclipse/echoes the Moon/North Node. Saturn is in Aries now and conjunct Neptune and asteroid Heracles/Hercules. This is the background energy to everything right now. Saturn in Aries is answering to Mars in Aquarius who is EXACTLY conjunct Vesta. The Moon sextiles the Ceres/Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries, also separating.
The Moon/Sun at 28 degrees Aquarius and this is the Moon's final aspect in Aquarius. Once again, we have a very late New Moon, so much of the story has already happened/sits in the past (both recent past and far past). The New Moon is a lot about WHAT IS ENDING/that cosmic reset/clearing of the decks. An Eclipse in fixed air Aquarius collectively resets our relationship to hivemind, groups, collective goals, technology.
It is also designed, because Aquarius is fixed air to REMOVE OUR CERTAINTY.
The square to Uranus shows the DISRUPTION that has brought us to this point. The new/the change/the pivot comes via a SHOCK. This might be something forced upon us or it might be us that is 'making the break'. Expect breakdowns, breakups and BREAKTHROUGHS.
(Uranus with Algol can speak of changes coming through algorithms, alcohol, losing our head or someone else losing theirs, sudden ruptures, rage, shocking disclosures)
The Moon's sextile to Ceres (mothering, season of life situations), Chiron (wounds/vulnerabilities even intergenerational wounds), Eris (the outside energy) speaks of the potential healing or opportunity via our response to the Uranian disruption and even beyond our response the healing of very old maternal/outsider woundings via the disruption. The healing needs the disruption and the disruption needs the healing. Our response wants to be Airian. Airian responses and opportunities come through - 1. Acting sooner rather than later. 2. Speaking directly instead of circling. 3. Naming the wound without softening it. 4. Stop over-accommodating 5. Reclaim agency right away. Don't speak about something as happening to you, speak about your next steps. Watch your words because Mercury in Pisces is majorly debilitated and about to reverse course.
Uranus shock can feel like, “This was done TO me! or why is this happening TO me?! The Aries sextile pulls in the energy of “ok, here I am, what is my move in this?” We don't want to be aggressive or reckless, but squares do require some kind of action or pivot.
With Chiron here, it may mean admitting that something hurts without turning it into a philosophy/another victim story. With Eris here, it may mean owning our anger/getting pissed off (responsibly we have Saturn here now, too) instead of pretending we’re above it or pulling some manipulative crap. With Ceres here, it may mean, protecting and nourishing ourselves and what we value instead of managing everyone else’s reaction.
So, the square from Taurus is a SUDDEN BREAK IN COMFORT and the Aries sextile tells us to respond with clean, self-directed action. Don't waste time with, "why is this happening?" Move right into, "OK, so what do I do now?" This isn't so much about jumping in, although the Year of the Fire Horse surely will involve some speed - as it is about deciding not to ruminate.
Venus, ruler of Taurus is exalted now in Pisces and rules money, resources, relationships, women, what we VALUE/our values and is sitting with the North Node of Fate. This echoes/doubles down on the Eclipse's FATED energies - makes this partial Solar Eclipse probably as powerful as a total.
Think about the gift life is offering us here - and yes, this can come through some kind of sh*tshow - we have the North Node in Pisces (a softer, gentler, self-worth/values alignment) AND we have a North Node Solar Eclipse in cool/detached Aquarius (the future). This would be a whole other thing if everything was Aquarius or everything was Pisces.
THIS IS ABOUT RELATIONAL DESTINY SHIFTS and VALUE RE-ALIGNMENT.
Think about the tech future that is coming - we are going to need each other (regardless of our freaking political alignments) and we are going to need to know what we really need/value because comfort is going to look very different. This is something like - "I cannot be who I was before and survive comfortably". So, either we are changing who we were before, and/or we are changing what we need to feel comfortable. And probably both. We are moving into uncharted territory folks ... the Epstein files (our blinders coming off), personal life events, etc - are waking us up.
Pluto in Aquarius is about power to the people, but a divided people are not very powerful. People are complex. Situations are complex. Life is complex. There are liberal people who are deeply religious. There are conservative people who are deeply compassionate. When 'everything is political' then nothing is RELATIONAL. We turn our neighbors into symbols.
Last week we had some evidence of our power when we do actually come together/align - when that weird lost dog commercial aired during the Super Bowl that informed us 10 million pets are reported lost every year. 10 million pets? This sounds impossible to me and who is this being reported to? I lost my cat once and called my sister to come help me look for her.
Anyway, the commercial goes on to say that every day a pet is found using this 'mass surveillance' feature on Ring Cameras. Of course, the words 'mass surveillance' were not part of the buy-in, but people are not as stupid as the genius who thought this commercial was a good idea. So, 365 pets a year are found out of 10 million? And, um, most of them would probably be found anyway by their owners taking a walk down the street.
People on both sides of the political aisle were like - what is my Ring camera doing??
I don't have a ring camera - my ring camera is kind of my dog who barks at EVERYTHING, but amidst the COLLECTIVE outrage, Ring immediately dropped their controversial surveillance partner. If we'd started arguing about conservatives killing puppies and liberals hating farmers and made that the story this wouldn't have happened. We have to keep this in mind. We have to be SMART.
Saturn sits with Neptune and Hercules - he is debilitated in Aries, but Saturn is still Saturn and the ancient ruler of Aquarius. Saturn here has a kind of 'we must do something' energy and then we must keep on doing it' :), he is authority looking to assert himself through new action. But conjunct Neptune things can be vague/blurry/tiring/hard to pin down. Then Hercules can pull in something about impossible labors framed as 'destiny'. We will talk more about all this later in the week as the Saturn/Neptune conjunction perfects. Keep in mind that while Saturn is in Aries for the next couple years, we will have to do things before we are ready to do them. This doesn't mean taking some crazy action during Eclipse season unless we have to.
Mars, ruler of Saturn now, is in Aquarius and conjunct Vesta. This is smart/disciplined effort. Pulls in the fire we need to keep lit/the stuff that is keeping us up at night. I think Vesta is probably massively underrated in charts. Vesta is the Goddess of hearth and home. Her sacred flame in the temple of Vesta was kept alive 24/7 by the Vestal Virgins (Virgin - meaning woman who wasn't owned by a man) to warm the city and provide a space of peace and stability.
Our actions now want to be focused on what is MOST IMPORTANT and WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT will find us.
For now, keep in mind - eclipses in Aquarius remove certainty and also mental rigidity. It destabilizes the stories we thought were rock solid. The Epstein file AWAKENING applies here big time. The world that Pisces built was never what we thought it was and the new Aquarius world is coming. This week holds important clues about what this is going to look like for us both personally and collectively.
Mars in Aquarius, conjunct Vesta, shows where our sacred flame is. Vesta is the hearth. The fire tended 24/7. The flame that keeps the city warm. Our actions now need to focus on what is most important. Have I said that already? I think I did. This is not about what is loud or reactive. This is about what is essential. Save the drama for your mama. And actually, Ceres sits with Chiron - take care of your mama.
Something is being eclipsed so something more authentic can take its place. You don't have to know your chart for this Eclipse. If nothing big is happening - watch the space that feels uncomfortable. Watch the space where you cannot pretend anymore because life will no longer allow you to shrink to belong and no longer allow you to avoid. This is where the reset is happening. Know that whatever is happening in your life is your little important piece of the pie to evolve. Major healing is happening. You are healing yourself, your past lives and your ancestors. You are healing the future as this New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius - the North Node hasn't even moved into Aquarius yet! - pulls the future into the present for healing.
A brand new, brave new world is coming. The Piscean dreams/illusions/bubbles are popping.
Back with more about this week ... keep in mind Mercury is about to go retrograde and walking degrees he will walk two more times, so expect we will be doing some things and making some decisions and saying and hearing some words AGAIN later. This is the first pass.

I thought, since I am a bit late getting this up - I would toss in one EXAMPLE of this New Moon. This is for Aries Rising or anyone with 28-degrees Aquarius in their 11th house. Maybe you are someone who has always identified as the strong, independent one in your friend group. Maybe the visionary. Maybe the initiator. The one who doesn’t need much. But over time, maybe your finances or some sense of stability (2nd house Uranus in Taurus) has been quietly destabilized. Maybe income feels inconsistent. Maybe your self-worth has been tied too tightly to something that has changed. Then something, maybe small or maybe not so small, but either way SHOCKING happens inside the group - a comment, an exclusion, a realization that your contributions aren’t valued the way you thought. And with the Eclipse, it hits deeper than expected. Because underneath it all, there’s an old identity wound (Chiron in the 1st) that is very old, very deep, that plays on repeat - “I have to be strong to belong.” or “If I show need, I lose position.” Maybe not exactly these things, but you can get the idea. The eclipse in the 11th exposes this pattern. So instead of confronting everyone or blowing things up, you do something subtler (Venus/North Node in the 12th) - you pull back. You stop over-doing or competing. You allow yourself to rest - and something could even happen that requires you to do this. You begin to value your inner peace more than group validation. To the world maybe it looks like distance, but internally it’s a reset of identity and belonging. “I don’t have to be strong to earn my place.” And this reset of identity will be a very big thing for an Aries rising person and its ramifications will impact everything ...
