the astrology of the disappearance of nancy guthrie | part IV - the suspect and the symbolism

I hoped this would be mostly solved by now although that original chart offered no fast solutions. Happening on the Full Moon in Leo should have left the suspects with nowhere to hide, but Eclipses and all that third house chatter ran cover for them.

I am sure the authorities know much more than we think they do. They likely have a very good idea of what happened and have delayed certain things so as not to endanger Nancy and in order to solidify their case. There have been energetic opportunities for breakthroughs and even solutions, but Saturn - the police/authorities/FBI - tied into foggy Neptune and having changed signs in the midst of all this, going from the frying pan and into the fire is not helping.

The charts were confusing enough already.

Let's go back to the beginning. That 'last seen' chart. This is the chart for when Nancy's garage door opens, and we are told she is dropped off by her son-in-law. The person to last see a victim is pretty much always a SUSPECT. This does not mean they, in this case "he", necessarily did anything wrong, but it's the place law enforcement starts, so we will, too.

I just want everyone to keep in mind that astrology (although it can be quite literal) is symbolic and based on the study of archetypes and patterns - it CANNOT tell us that someone is guilty of a crime.

It just can't. Not for certain. And in this case, we have a person in the spotlight anyway (family member), so it will not be possible to separate "who did this" from "who is in the spotlight". We can expect his chart to be activated. I was going to just stay away from this. But after looking at his chart and his synastry with Nancy I thought we would take a look - we just have to keep in mind the whole 'can't separate spotlight from guilt' here, ok?

We don't have the birth time of Nancy or her son-in-law and there isn't enough info online to rectify either one (determine birth time) with any surety of accuracy. But there is a technique in astrology where we bring the Sun to the ascendent/rising degree of the chart. If you study astrology and are tired of looking at your own chart - make yourself a solar chart, revise your birth time and bring your Sun to the ascendent. You will find it amazingly represents your birth natal/says the same thing in different ways. It's a very useful and accurate tool.

One thing we see right away when comparing the solar charts of Nancy and her son-in-law (and this is not impacted by time of birth anyway) is that Nancy's 11-degree Chiron (wound/vulnerability) in Leo is exactly conjunct her son-in-law's natal Venus. Almost to the second.

And we had a 13-degree Leo Full Moon happening pretty much exactly as Nancy was being attacked. I wrote about that Moon HERE about a week before Nancy's abduction. Its theme was 'meeting the limits we have denied existed'. The Sun sat with Atlantis - over-reach/arrogance. The Moon - and remember all the charts we looked at for Nancy with that Aquarius pile-up had these energies sitting there, too - Hybris/more arrogance, Icarus/the SON who flies too close to the SUN and falls to his death, Amycus/who drags his prey to their death. This was not an easy Full Moon. And everything that is conjunct that Full Moon is tightly conjunct Nancy's Chiron (wound, vulnerability) and her son-in-law's Venus (women, relationships, money, what we want). The symbolism is striking.

Let's think about this exact Chiron/Venus relationship in Leo because it will have big upsides and big downsides.

The Venus person (SIL) activates the Chiron person’s (MIL’s) wound around - love, worth, attention, being chosen, being special, possibly creative self-expression. Because it’s in Leo, the Chiron wound may involve - not feeling adored or prioritized, feeling overlooked in youth. shame around self-expression, difficulty receiving appreciation, complicated dynamics around pride. Now, how this plays out depends enormously on maturity. At its best the SIL may naturally appreciate, compliment, or validate the MIL. He may treat her warmly, theatrically or generously. He can unintentionally heal something in her about being seen and valued. She may feel lit up by him - proud of him, charmed by him. This is best case and I am sure there were times that felt like this.

Now the Venus person (the SIL) is not neutral - he is getting something, too.

With Venus touches someone's Chiron, the Venus person (SIL) can feel magnetized, significant, impactful, emotionally relevant (and remember there is almost no water in either chart!) and important in the other’s life/you need what I bring you/I am valuable here - remember this is what the SIL will feel when things are good between them. There is often a subtle sense of something like, "I matter to you in a deep way". That can feel intoxicating. On the downside with Venus what starts as warmth can end up like score keeping.

Especially if resources are involved. Because Venus is not just affection it is also about money/resources, giving and receiving.

And when SIL's Venus sits on MIL's Chiron and she is giving hm money this becomes very literal. He embodies - what she gives to/what she invests in and because it hits her Chiron it will be easy for this giving (or withholding) to activate very old wounds in her about being used, feeling unappreciated, feeling unseen for what she sacrifices. In Leo especially, this can feel like, "I give generously but do I feel adored? Does anyone see what I do? Am I valued, or just useful?". She experiences their exchanges through a VERY OLD SCAR.

When this stuff sours, she will feel drained and he will feel judged.

Now the SIL has his own Chiron, too. It's in Aries (conjunct his Mars/Jupiter making this wound a very big deal for him) and he is having his Chiron return. Chiron in Aries is almost always about autonomy and self-sufficiency, and it's tied into his Mars/Jupiter amplifying the whole masculine (maybe angry) side of this. This wound could manifest as feeling inadequate as a provider, a hypersensitivity to perceived weakness, defensiveness when competence is questioned and then he could overcompensate with bravado. He is a Sun Gemini which isn't a very solid solar structure - can sometimes be like two people. Then he has Juno exactly conjunct his Sun. Juno is about our relationship to power/what we will do to keep that power. They sextile his natal Chiron, so his Chiron return is impacting these energies, too.

Nancy has no water and SIL's chart has only Saturn in Cancer (2nd house in solar chart). There will not be a lot of empathy between them if things go bad. The SIL's Saturn in Cancer is not soft water. This is structural/defensive/ancestral. And in the second house - this is identity through security. Saturn in Cancer speaks of early responsibility around family. Strict maternal conditioning. Fear of scarcity. And a COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP WITH MOTHER FIGURES. Then put this Saturn, who is debilitated in Cancer since Saturn rules the polarity sign of Capricorn, into his 2nd house of money/self-worth/what is mine/material stability and he could easily equate money with emotional survival, money with safety and see maternal provision/resources as foundational structure.

He might have formed early expectation of family resources as collective and saw material support as stabilizing. Threats to this, especially coming at his Chiron return and the way he is tied into Nancy via her own Chiron could feel life-threatening to him and then look at her Chiron in her 7th house of others/the mirroring. He also has his natal Uranus opposing his natal Chiron and his natal Moon/Part of Fortune opposing the Jupiter/Mars - all in Libra. A traumatic act involving his wife's mother and tied into his masculinity/security fits the chart rather tidily.

Astrology charts are symbolic, but sometimes quite literal.

Remember in all the events charts the Sun sat tightly in between Venus and Mars in Aquarius. Venus and Mars were always the significators for the victim and the perpetrator. I once did a chart with an Aquarius Moon that was showing us - because Aquarius is eccentric and unusual - "not the real mother". In this chart the Aquarius Sun can be saying "not the real sun/not the real son". Always positioned between victim and perpetrator it might be saying "the not-real son" connects them together. And, then we have the follow-up Eclipse, in play at this Full Moon, that hides the Sun/Son! So, has he paid/promised to pay someone to do this - because the 3rd house so loaded in the crime chart rules commerce/exchanges and third parties and the SIL connects to Nancy's wound via money already. Or could he have inadvertently said something that set this into motion. I have said before that the chart could indicate the kidnapping idea comes after whatever happens at the house/in the neighborhood. Maybe the perpetrator or perpetrators have gone there with an even more devious job.

Anyway, there are many more connections between these two including his Ceres (more mother energy/the grieving mother) strong in Taurus at the tight midpoint of Nancy's Moon/Jupiter (big mother) and Uranus/Saturn (sudden ending). Notice in Nancy's solar chart how her Uranus/Saturn falls in 4th (Uranus - trauma, sudden change) and Saturn in the 3rd (Saturn - endings, transport, commercial deal, local community, sibling). The solar charts when combined with the event charts paint a very clear picture, but we have to keep in mind IT IS A PICTURE WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

We can't know.

There is other interesting symbolism. It's Eclipse season and there is AGAIN (like the Kirk assassination) a connection to an attention-diverting mystery, a story that releases a great collective grief, maybe another murder for hire/patsy story but we will have to see what plays out here. Definitely another connection to Algol/off with their heads/turn men to stone like the previous Eclipse.

The crime happened on February first. which is, Ground Hog Day. But long before Punxutawney Phil became famous, February 1st was celebrated as Imbolc.

A Celtic holiday that honors the goddess Brigid (a triplicity archetype like Hekate – maiden, mother, crone - Nancy's natal Hekate conjunct her Chiron). Yes, a beautiful celt Goddess was replaced by a ... rodent. Can you believe it? Yes, I bet you can. Imbolc is the half-way point between winter and summer and celebrates the LEAVING OF THE CRONE/GRANDMOTHER aka winter and approaching time of the maiden (daughter/spring).

(it’s been interesting to me that Nancy is rarely mentioned as a grandmother and always as a mother. I realize this is because of that Leo Moon – mother of royalty/fame and Full Moon in Leo on February 1st that keeps our eyes here - but it’s still interesting. If I were the police, I would be calling her a ‘missing grandmother’ every chance I had, not every dangerous guy loves his mother, but most loved their grandmas ...)

We have an Eclipse on March 3rd at 12 degrees Virgo, so right in between Nancy's 13-degree Virgo South Node of Fate and her SIL's 11-degree Virgo natal PERSEPHONE. Persephone was the daughter kidnapped by Pluto and taken to the underworld as the mother grieved and the world dried up. Pluto in the events charts is in an exact trine to Nancy's natal Persephone (with Uranus applying to a conjunction). And the Sun at the next Eclipse will be conjunct SIL's natal Pholus - small events that have big ramifications/buck stops here energies conjunct his natal Black Moon Lilith (shame wound) and Nancy's North Node of Fate (destiny).

I could go on all day about the symbolism but need to pack orders I made during yesterday's blizzard.

If you have water elements in your chart - be GRATEFUL folks.
