TUESDAY - First Quarter Moon

FRIDAY - Sun conjunct North Node, Mars square Uranus
SATURDAY - Mercury retro conjunct Venus
We are between the Aquarius eclipse last week (collective, ideological, future-oriented with that Venus/North Node and Mars/Vesta - what do we really value? taking action with this) and next week's Virgo eclipse (practical, health, work, systems, consequences).
AND we have the Sun shining a light on a fated path ahead, destined changes of minds/information/plans, the energy for volatile disruptions/accidents and possible financial upsets SO STAY AWAKE. This is not the time to do something stupid with your money/what you value.
The energy looks destabilizing, but not necessarily destructive unless we react impulsively or this is the only way life has to CHANGE SOMETHING that must change. NO DARK ALLEYS. Don't egg on dicey situations unless you are prepared to end up with it on your face. Mars/Uranus don't play. SLOW DOWN.
Themes could include narratives unraveling, emotional truths surfacing, old grief rising, tension spiking briefly and, in the end, something being corrected quietly. And with that Virgo Eclipse on the horizon for next week - take work, health and pet situations seriously.
And, yes, with Eclipse energy in play (our twice a year cycles of time out of time) timing is next to impossible to predict and may have already happened. Again, stay frosty. Take action as needed with what is valuable.
Let's unpack the week!
TUESDAY - The Moon in Gemini squares the Sun in Pisces - this is this month's opening square (tension/frustration) after last week's New Moon in Aquarius and next week's Full Moon in Virgo. This is a mutable square with Gemini ruler Mercury ABOUT TO TURN AROUND, so a tricky one.
First Quarter Square Moons require action. In Gemini the action is most likely mental - conversations, decisions, news, competing narratives/storylines, nervous tension, plans, appointments. Gemini is immediate - what needs to be done/said. Something here needs to change/turn a corner.
Gemini energy scatters and multiplies perspectives and this is the Moon we are talking about which rules our emotions, so emotionally, this can feel something like, "I see too many angles or have too much information. I don’t know what is true or what to do with this information." There are many ways this can play out - tension between our facts and intuition is another one.
And because this is in the eclipse corridor, information this week isn’t random. It’s catalytic. Something said now pushes the story forward. Just keep in mind this is adjustment energy, NOT resolution yet.
THUIRSDAY - Mercury stations retrograde at 22-degrees Pisces. A powerful degree in a powerful sign. EXPECT A BIG POST.
This is the heart of the week. Mercury doesn’t like being in Pisces anyway - he is debilitated in the sign opposite the sign he/she rules. Pisces dissolves logic, blurs edges, brings intuition over fact. And when Mercury stations/stop to change direction, the energy concentrates.
Stationing at the powerful 22 degrees Pisces we might feel foggy but emotionally loaded, old memories could be resurfacing, secrets are remembered rather than discovered or this is about something even older than our lived memory. This can be about something that was "understood but never spoken" coming back. As with all Mercury retrogrades expect second thoughts and delays.
Retrograde in Pisces is not “new data.” It’s more like - "what did we feel but dismiss?". The timing - between two powerful eclipses and in the sign of the North Node of Fate suggests this review matters.
FRIDAY - the Sun catches up with the North Node and Mars squares Uranus (!!)
This adds FATE to the fog.
When the Sun meets the North Node, there’s a sense of STEPPING INTO A KARMIC MOMENT. There is an illumination on the path ahead and we are pulled forward - ready or not. This is Pisces, so spiritual, emotional and likely surrender-based (out of our control). Maybe here is where we are accepting something we don't want to accept. Softening into something instead of fighting it - Mars/Uranus will want to fight and is happening at the same time, so some things will be worth fighting for - just be careful. Limits are dissolving. With the next Eclipse in Virgo, this could be health related for some.
At the same time DANGER WILL ROBINSON - Mars is squaring Uranus. This is the volatile piece. No dark alleys. No candy from strangers. Drive safely. Measure twice before you cut. Algol is having his last hurrahs here and has a long reputation for intensity, extremity and "losing our head".
Mars square Uranus is impulsive reactions. Sudden disruptions. In Aquarius we could be looking at technological or electrical incidents. Anger/arguments erupting unexpectedly. BREAKING POINTS VIA BREAK-UPS, BREAKDOWNS AND BREAKTHROUGHS. With the Sun/North Node at the same time - much of this will be fated.
In Aquarius/Taurus, this tension is (collectively speaking, because this will be colored for you personally by your own chart) is ideological vs. material stuff. Fixed opinions. Financial instability. Stubborn clashes. Sudden value shifts. This is the “don’t push too hard” aspect of the week.
SO DON'T PUSH TOO HARD. And because Mercury is stationing retrograde, reactions may be based on misinterpretation or emotional overload.
SATURDAY - This is very tender. Mercury retrograde in Pisces (memory) plus Venus (love, value, attachment, resources). This can be old love resurfacing. Grief returning for integration. Revisiting relationship dynamics. Forgiveness themes. Nostalgia.
In Pisces, this is always apt to be more dissolving than dramatic. Maybe this is about forgiveness/compassion, seeing now what something actually meant. Remember Mercury is retrograde, so this is re-flection, not about forward movement. And because Venus is involved, this is about what we care about.
To recap - this isn’t a week of clear answers. This is more about realizing control is thinner than we thought. Seeing where we were idealizing and facing what we’ve avoided emotionally. Understanding something/someone differently. You get the idea.
Because it’s Pisces-heavy, this week is less about events and more about perception shifting. And because it sits between eclipses, the real consequences show up at the Virgo eclipse.
