MONDAY - Jupiter trines Saturn
TUESDAY - Mars squares Saturn, Mercury inconjunct Saturn and sextile Mars
FRIDAY - Last Quarter Moon (Gemini)
SATURDAY - Sun inconjuncts Saturn
OK, so last week's Pisces Eclipse is playing out as the Moon starts to wane.
Venus enters her shadow and starts to walk the degrees in Libra she (as us) is going to REPEAT during her upcoming (and rare) retrograde which will start in Scorpio and pull us back into Libra in a few weeks. So let's pay attention to your relationships, balance, finances, beauty, women because something happening in these areas now (and our natal Libra house theme) may not be finished. We might encounter some version of it again in a few weeks, when Venus retraces these same degrees.
AND we start the week with the first of THREE Jupiter/Saturn trines that move our 2020 BRAVE NEW WORLD story forward in 2026 and 2027. Here we go.
Let's unpack the week!
MONDAY - The Moon in Aries opposes Venus. The Moon in Aries is independent/likes her own company/asks us to honor what we want and need, while Venus in Libra reminds us that our choices exist within relationships and require some consideration of the other side/other person. With the Moon going void after the opposition (mid-afternoon EST), this isn't so much about resolving the tension but more about noticing where we have been compromising too much OR, conversely, where our insistence on having things our way has made cooperation difficult.
This is also the day the Jupiter/Saturn trine is exact. We talked about this in detail HERE. Jupiter/Saturn - and this is the first of 3 - is EXCELLENT energy to build something bigger, better and lasting just keep in mind that Saturn is retrograde, so the structure may involve rebuilding, revising or strengthening something already underway rather than simply starting from scratch. These are fire signs, so we will need action and initiative/courage, and this is Jupiter - confidence, optimism - and Saturn - patience, structure and elbow grease.
TUESDAY - Mars squares Saturn while Mercury quincunxes Saturn, cushioned slightly by Mercury sextile Mars. Tension. Frustration. A fight. Stay frosty. Think twice. Take a breath. Action meets resistance (Mars/Saturn), and communication or plans needing an awkward adjustment against a limit that won't move (Mercury/Saturn quincunx). The Mercury/Mars sextile is our saving grace. Our mind and will are still cooperating with each other even while the outer world pushes back. We can see the problem, formulate a response and take practical action but getting the result we want may require patience. The Moon in Taurus (where she is exalted) reinforces this patience theme - and helps provide it. If something isn't moving, forcing it may not be the answer. Figuring out why it's not moving probably is - and the Sun is in Virgo right now making this 'figure things out' thing much more do-able. Practical action possible just don't seek perfection - this is not the day for it.
WEDNESDAY - a day to exhale. The Moon, exalted in Taurus, trines the Sun, sextiles Mars and trines Mercury - three easy contacts in a row. This is the week's actual productive window. Whatever got stuck Tuesday has real room to move Wednesday. This all happens very early and is followed by a long void Moon so expect time to get stretchy. We can get a lot done, just don't start anything brand new that needs quick traction.
THURSDAY - The Moon in multi-tasking/"let's do it AGAIN" Gemini conjuncts disruptive Uranus (with supportive Moon trine Pluto and sextile Neptune right alongside it). We are busy, communicative, on-the-go. This is restless, quick, a little, or maybe a lot, electric. Good for insight, bad for patience. Something said or realized Thursday may feel more disruptive than expected. Plans can change. Keep this in mind. Restlessness can actually be information. Something in us may be ready for a different answer.
And this is important in such a Saturn-heavy week. Uranus can be asking whether the structure we've been trying to make work is actually still the right structure.
FRIDAY - here is our Last Quarter Moon in Gemini (Sun square waning Moon), the classic "crisis in consciousness" point in our monthly cycle. It's not a crisis in the dramatic sense, but actually the lunar phase built for editing, releasing, and deciding what from the past couple weeks actually gets carried forward. This is nicely softened by the Moon's sextile to both Saturn and Jupiter the same day, so the letting-go/editing has real support underneath it. Clarity comes in. This could relate back to Monday's Jupiter/Saturn storyline. With the Third Quarter Moon, we know that some of this week's building happens through SUBTRACTION.
SATURDAY - The Sun in Virgo wants to improve, organize, fix stuff and basically make things work better and Saturn retrograde in Aries asks whether the structures we're relying on still support the person we are becoming and things we are starting. This is some kind of a re-calibration probably felt around work, health or duty. An inconjunct is a rock-and-a-hard-place - an adjustment to both sides is needed. Something about effort versus limitation needs adjusting. This would be a small, forced correction rather than a big confrontation. A kind of bookend to Monday's Jupiter/Saturn ease - the week opens with structure supporting growth and closes with a reminder that structure still has terms.
Saturn is still Saturn after all.
If we look at how this week rolls out and ALL THE SATURN, it looks to be a week that tests whether what's being built (Monday's Jupiter/Saturn GIFT) can hold up under real pressure (Tuesday), get genuine traction (Wednesday), survive a jolt of new information (Thursday) and come out the other side edited down to what actually matters (Friday's Last Quarter).
And running underneath everything is Venus entering her shadow. While Saturn is asking, “Can this hold?”, Venus is quietly showing up with, “Is this still what you want?”
So again, pay attention to what is happening now in relationships, money, values, beauty and storylines with women, Libras and Taurus people, both Suns and risings (plus your natal Libra/Scorpio house themes). We may be seeing the beginning of a story we will revisit when Venus comes back over these same degrees during her retrograde next month.
BOTTOM LINE - the week isn't about getting everything right. We won't. It's about discovering what is worth building, what needs to be changed, and what we are going to have another chance to reconsider later.
Saturn is still Saturn, after all. But I said that already :)
xo all - please excuse typos too late to reread and I always find them :)
