Full Moon in Taurus | maximum value, a light on that empty corner, feeling under-appreciated, the smother mother, a season for everything, cue Doris Day

Q by geonebieridze

We kick off November with today's Full Moon in comfort-loving Taurus. Issues surrounding Taurus themes - our income, purchases, possessions, our values (conduct/conscience) and self-esteem are highlighted. Something here is wrapping up, coming to light or reaching its maximum value.

The Sun and Moon are squaring Ceres (in Leo). The Moon will be sextiling (opportunity) Neptune (retrograde in Pisces). The Sun will be trining (brakes off) Neptune. At the same time Venus (in Libra and the ruler of Taurus and this Full Moon) will be opposing Uranus (in Aries). And Uranus will be trining (brakes off) Saturn.

This could all be about one thing for us or play out in multiple situations. If you have planets or points around 11 degrees of the fixed signs - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius - you will probably feel today's energy strongest.

The square to Ceres shows tension around any lack (or perceived lack) of comfort, shelter, security, nourishment or support. A light is thrown on what we don't have here. With Ceres in ego-driven (and love-hungry) Leo we could feel a need to be acknowledged or noticed for the ways we are providing any of these things to someone else. Again we will notice what we don't have - the ways what we do goes unappreciated.

If we look deeper (it is Scorpio season and the Sun is in Scorpio!) we could find something magnified out of proportion. The drive to feed any unmet needs could be fierce, but what are we really trying to fill here? Issues around mother, motherhood, food, security could be in play.

With a light thrown on any potential for loss now (again real or perceived) we could be afraid to loosen our grasp on anything we "own". The Ceres archetype is about cycles of birth, growth and death (read the mythology if you are not familiar with her story) - there is a time and a season for everything. But Taurus likes everything to remain just as it is. This Full Moon could be about us trying to hold on to a cycle that is ending ....

Today's positive aspects with watery Neptune tells us that anything running through our hands now is meant to go

Its release will free up our hands for more solid holdings.

Venus, the ruler of today's Full Moon, is opposite Uranus, so whatever is happening could be a total surprise or even a total reversal. Uranus will offer alternatives that we hadn't previously considered or been attracted to - the trine to Saturn tells us they could require a bit of time and patience and maybe some elbow grease, but they are there.

If we can release the Taurean hunger for what we think we want or need to keep we might just end up with something much better in the long run.

Whatever will be will be here. Cue Doris Day.

Hold on very loosely. A certain level of detachment will be helpful now. The more that Taurus bull digs in his heels, the greater the hole in the ground for us to deal with later. Stay malleable.

In some ways all of us are dealing with painful limits (Saturn square Chiron, exact this week and within orb for most of the rest of 2017). There is a need to figure out what we really value now and give our focus - time, attention and resources - to that. Working with what we have. Making the most of what we have.

With Saturn coming home to Capricorn in just a few weeks AND with the North Node in Leo - we need to balance the diverse themes of "winter is coming" (preparing for winter) WITH following our heart/joy. The space where these things intersect is our sweet spot. No one said this was going to be easy though.

Today's Moon in "let's get comfortable" Taurus is a time to get clear on what we really need and to appreciate what we already have.

I hope you have been getting outside and walking in it. xo all

Sun Trine Neptune, Venus Sextile Saturn, Inconjunct Chiron and Opposite Uranus | issues of stability, seeing the bigger picture, vision-boarding, compassion, feelings of not enough, avoiding manipulation, trust

Secret Garden by teruus

Today, we have the Sun (in Scorpio) trine Neptune (in Pisces) at 17 degrees. Venus (in Libra) sextile Saturn (in Sagittarius) and inconjunct Chiron (in Pisces) at 24 degrees. These are some of the energies that will carry us toward tomorrow's Full Moon in Taurus.

Let's look at today's three aspects.

There are opportunities now (Venus sextile Saturn) to stabilize a financial situation. Think quality over quantity. Long term investing is favored. Disciplined spending and savings pays off. This is good energy to pay down/off debt or to start a savings plan. Relationships launched now could be long-lasting, security-focused or between a younger/older person. Think mentor. People will be looking for a commitment.

We show love through taking care of our responsibilities and honoring our obligations. Excellent energy for business dealings. Excellent energy for women to work with and step into authority now.

Today's inconjunct to Chiron will point out something we "just have to live with" about our Venus situation. Maybe we don't have that committed relationship we want or the funds to do the thing we want to do. We could be feeling the ways we are not good enough, not liked enough or not attractive enough (maybe physically or maybe able to get what we want).

Remember Venus rules love, money, our values, women and our self-esteem.

Something hurts, but that sextile to Saturn tells us the opportunities come through time and wisdom and doing the responsible thing with our resources. There is a bigger picture we can be 'efforting' toward instead of bemoaning what we don't have (and I am not making light of what we don't have because the lack is real).

There is also an opposition between Venus and Uranus reaching perfection tomorrow signaling an unexpected event or need for change. Let's be gentle with each other.

We will talk about this more with the Full Moon post.

Which brings us to today's third aspect the Sun trining Neptune encouraging dreams, mergers, imagination, trusting our intuition, compassion and creativity.

This is excellent vision-boarding energy.

This aspect allows us to drift back from whatever situation we are dealing with (the Venus issue!).

It won't add clarity. Neptune doesn't clarify. But it can help us merge with the energies in a new way. To feel our way through.

Prayer works. Meditation works. The situation will turn out much better without our manipulations. Trust this.

xo all - back with the Full Moon post!

Saturn Square Chiron | restrictions, being made aware of our weaknesses, duty, guilt, obligations, NO, feeling stuck, wounding conversations, healing conversations, deep thinking, a karmic wrap-up

Deep, thoughts .. by Kenrocks

Today, we have Saturn (in his final two months in Sagittarius) squaring Chiron (in Pisces). This is their third and final square, since last December, in these two signs.

Check THURSDAY in the weekly HERE.

Saturn requires us to put in the hours and do the hard work. There are no short-cuts. I guarantee that as a reader of this blog, this is not a challenging concept for you.

If it was you wouldn't have read more than one post, because I am very Saturnian (Saturn natally one degree from my Aquarius Sun in my 3rd house of communication) and you would have been turned off and think I am "too negative" (which I can be, of course). You likely have some strong Saturn/Capricorn/10th house yourself with some hardy Virgo and/or Plutonian energy tossed in for good measure!

Now Chiron is not as well understood as Saturn.

He is a much more recent discovery and astrologers are still working him out. It would appear, based on the mythology, and what astrological researchers can see from studying hundreds/thousands of charts - that the space he occupies in our natal chart contains an un-healable wound. It is more of a "learn to live with it" kind of thing.

You can imagine with Saturn (work, time, limits, father) squaring the wounded healer (Chiron) multiple times this year - there would be a story, or various stories, of accepting some limit or restriction or being forced to deal with something we don't want to deal with.

With Saturn/Chiron this could be about a vulnerability passed down to us through our father's lineage.

Now, this time - maybe 3rd time is the charm - we have the gift of Mercury (in Scorpio) trining Chiron during his square to Saturn. There is a way out/back door here.

Mercury in Scorpio could require intensive research or puzzling through the problem. It could be about deep honesty - talking about whatever this is with another person or writing about it. This is not going to work unless we go deep (Scorpio) with our mind (Mercury).

If we are on the receiving end of a conversation like this, and someone is being vulnerable to us, it is important to hold a space for the other person's words. Don't judge. Let the person know you are listening. You don't have to have all or even any of the answers. There is a reason they are talking to you though. What are you hearing?

At the same time Mercury is inconjunct Uranus. Can anything be anything other than complicated this year! Ugh!

So the communication/information/language or the response to it could be unexpected and catch us off guard.

The Moon is in easy-to-anger Aries.

If we are tempted toward saying something hurtful - STOP - go after something easier to replace than a friend/job, etc - tear up the junk mail, break some sticks, take a LONG, sweaty walk.

There could be something that feels like failure here. We might be acutely aware of our past mistakes/shortcuts and the time we have wasted (which we didn't). We could be dealing with issues around emotional blackmail/guilt. Talk about what hurts. Write it down.

We are moving into a brand new age and truly we need to be not as emotionally connected to our past as we once were. We can't be and do what we need to do. Can you feel the truth of that?

I saw a documentary about a man who woke up on a subway with no memory. Eventually his family found him, but he didn't remember them and they didn't recognize him. He talked differently. He walked differently. He liked different clothes and movies and a different flavor of ice cream. This makes sense, right. All the experiences that impacted who he was were erased. He was/got to be a totally different person.

This isn't exactly what is happening to us as a collective as we move into a new world, but in some ways it is. We are evolving.

The sweet spot in a less emotional attachment to our past is the wide-open space that is being created to make new memories. Self-limiting beliefs about who we are and what we can do are being erased. We can work from our roots. It is actually freeing us up.

This might be a hard couple days for some people. Be gentle with ourselves and others. We really are all in this together.

(remember that long Void Moon starting at lunch time EDT)

Venus Sextile the North Node, Samhain| happy celtic new year, HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ancestral assistance, relationship from the past resurfaces, opportunities with women, cooperative efforts move us forward, agreements are reached

Sully, the mad scientist, at Saturday's Halloween party - not the photobooth camper -  this one might become a book mobile though!

Today is actually the first day of the Celtic New Year/first day of winter and was presided over by the Goddess Samhain. The ancients believed the veil between the worlds was thinnest now and certainly today's Moon in unbounded Pisces helps that along.

This is a good time to say a prayer for our ancestors well-being and also to ask them for their help. Our relationship with them works both ways. There was a scene in the Spielberg movie 'Amistad' where the brave Mende tribesman Sengbe Pieh stood in the crowded bowels of the slave ship and appealed to his ancestors for assistance, "I am the only reason you were ever born", he cried out. There is some truth to this. Not only in a physical sense of carrying a bloodline, but more importantly in the spiritual sense of "continuing their story".

The birth of my nephew, whose birth chart (natal chart from the moment he drew his first breath - in his case calculated by my brother down to the millisecond so he could give me the correct time) is such an exact representation of his parents' story at the time of his birth has convinced me our chart is not only a road-map for our personal journey (our spiritual contract) and a complete embodiment of that actual moment in time for us to carry for the collective, but also a perfect accounting of our parents' story through that moment the baton is passed and we pick up whatever bits and pieces we have agreed to work with. Of course, the same happened at their birth and their parents' birth and so on and so on back through time.

So complicated as to be unbelievable that all these pieces could fit so nicely together ... and yet they do.

The Pisces Moon encourages creative work and connecting with other people until the Moon goes void at 5:08PM EDT. It moves into Aries at 11:43PM EDT. A Void Moon during the trick or treating hours makes me think of people wandering around lost in the dark, so keep your children close. The Moon's last aspect before the void is a square to Saturn creating inflexibility and a need to follow the rules. This is NOT a good time to use drugs or overindulge in anything. Stay grounded. Keep your wits about you.

Today we also have Venus (strong in her home sign of Libra) sextiling the North Node (in Leo) at 21 degrees. Sextiles represent opportunities and Venus rules love, money, women, our values and self-esteem. At the same time she is, of course, trining (brakes off) the South Node (in Aquarius).

Whatever/whoever (a romance, woman, friendship, group, ideal) leaves now is meant to go. It should go smoothly. With Venus it could be a value or something we believe about ourselves/our situation that has outlived its usefulness.

Stay open to the opportunities that come up.

Maybe something or someone from the past resurfaces now. Maybe this is about carrying something we used to love with us as we journey forward - we are reminded somehow of what we need to keep.

There could be opportunities through women or through working with Venusian themes.

Cooperative efforts within relationships - both personal and business - create future opportunities. Agreements are reached. Relationships started now have a feeling of being fated.

Whatever this is for us, the energy is smooth and pleasant.

Enjoy the day. xo all
