Chiron into Aries | February 18th, 2019 thru 2026 - healing the wounded masculine, our path to self-love, healing through action, our victim stories and wallowing is so last transit, no one is you and THAT is your super-power

Chiron was the first discovered (in 1977) and is the largest of the Centaurs - originally classified as asteroids and now called "minor planets". The Centaurs, like their mythical namesakes who were half-man, half-horse are wild celestial bodies. They come from the opposite side of the Sun and move toward the Sun vertically like comets do. Their orbits are erratic. Chiron, orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, is a bridge between these two great planets - he is a shamanic energy.

Last April, Chiron moved into Aries and gave us a sneak-peak of the next few years, but then stationed retrograde and once again backed into Pisces.

On February 19th, he will once ingress into Aries, this time for the long haul (through 2026). In Aries, Chiron turns away from the emotional, connecting reactions and the victim stories we grew through during his nine years in Pisces and toward the chapter of our personal regeneration.

Aries is the first sign so rules newness.

What does it take to embrace the new? It takes courage.

Chiron in Pisces has been about feeling and then surrendering the wound. Pisces is gentle energy. Water wears away rough edges over time.

With Chiron in Aries changes will be faster. Rough edges will be smoothed efficiently on a chopping block. We will have to get right back up when we fall down. We will see what we need to do and then we will need to do it.

There will be less time for reflection and there won't be any time for wallowing.

This will be about taking action.

Individual action. The kind of action that isn't always supported by other people. The kind of action we take for ourselves. This energetic is intensely impactful for the collective, too, although it could feel like we are all alone in whatever we do with this.

Our natal Aries house(s) theme(s) will be our personal field of healing.

Every situation, person, place and thing that comes through this space- if honestly met - will carry the opportunity to simultaneously gift and wound us here.

I believe, as spiritual beings, we came here with a game plan - a blueprint, a set of guidelines for our life arranged in a language of patterns and archetypes. Some of our blueprints are very specific. Most, are specific in some areas and more general in others.

Our natal astrology chart is a complicated set of specifications designed to build up an individual and run him/her. Like we would build a car or 3D print a Christmas ornament, except our "blueprints" are a map of our consciousness.

Unlike a machine, we always have the choice to become more conscious - more than our blueprints (we have free will) but without our blueprints we can't gain entrance here to life on planet Earth. They anchor us in time and space.

It may seem impossible to believe, that you, that I, that all of us, came into being with a plan/possibility for Chiron (discovered in 1977, so not even knowable when many of us were born) to move into the Aries room in our "blueprint" - the space we have always had to fight, always had to walk through that door alone, always had to initiate, be brave, be motivated - in order to get anything done, in order to be accepted - probably for lifetimes - that Chironic energy (wounded healer) was going to come into this space at this exact time in order to heal the wounds we are holding/hiding here. And all the actions we have taken up until now have prepared us for this.

There is a reason the symbol for Chiron looks like a key. Chiron acts like a portal between Saturn's reality and Uranus's awakening energies. And much about this new energy isn't understood yet.

(note the "key" is really a grouping of the letters O and K - originally called Object Kowal after discoverer Charles Kowal who then synchronistically named his find Chiron)

There are as many ways Aries in Chiron can play out as there are people on this planet.

A word salad could stretch our brain here, so let's try a few:

Healing the wounded (Chiron) masculine (Aries), healing (Chiron) from violence/war (Aries), physical (Aries) disabilities (Chiron), going (Aries) until we drop (Chiron), healing through men, male bonding, healing through self-defense, healing through self-assertion, healing through conflict, healing through courage, healing by going it alone, healing through our instincts or painful instincts, healing by pushing past a vulnerability, healing through expressing/acknowledging unexpressed anger or resentment, healing by resolving competition issues, healing through fighting/through passion, yada yada. You get the idea.

Remember our Aries house has always been the space we have had to fight/work alone/compete/push for what we want if we are going to have it.

Chiron is going to help us lighten this load.

And like the medic resetting a shoulder that has come out of its socket, here is the part where I say, "this is probably going to hurt."

Issues around self-doubt and self-worthiness will surface.

Chiron in Aries will form a natural opposition to Libra (and this is part of the Aries/Libra polarity dance) - this would be a time when the other people in our lives, and the people we meet, who have the energetic frequencies that can easily re-wound us (trigger our early wounding/past life wounds/familial karma), will do just that.

It can be painful, but this is the path to SELF- LOVE.

And yes, it will be strewn with roses and thorns.

Chironic healing doesn't mean the wounded space just disappears. Like a scar left after a deep cut, there is something about the wound we have to learn to live with. The healing comes through acceptance which shifts our energy and we become like a BEACON attracting others with similar wounds (the way a recovering alcoholic can help an alcoholic in ways no one else can).

As a collective we will learn to express anger, aggression and force in healthy, positive ways. We will be healing our sense of identity - that thing Uranus has been busy dismantling these last few years!

Uranus tilled the ground for this healing with his own eight year journey through Aries which comes to a close next month. The erratic energy exits stage left and the healing energy enters stage right.

The house is Arian - so the healing is flavored by Martian vibes (just as Uranus has been influenced by Mars these past few years). Whatever house Aries rules in our natal chart is ALWAYS going to be a house that favors action - this healing won't be any exception.

During 2019, Chiron will move from 0 degrees Aries to 5 degrees Aries by July 8th when he will station retrograde. He will get back to 1 degree Aries and then station direct on December 12th. Then we get to re-do the 1-5 degrees of Aries again for the third time (older and wiser). And this is kind of how it will go with the next few degrees every year until Chiron finishes up in Aries. In 2019, people with planets and points between 0 and 5 degrees Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn - will feel Chiron's energy strongest. Aries planets will get the conjunction, Libra the opposition and Cancer/Capricorn the squares. If you don't have any personal planets/points here, you might not feel personally impacted by Chiron's transit this year, but everyone will be impacted on a collective level.

The way things start is very important and the chart for February 19, 2019 reflects the importance of this transit - Chiron moves onto the hyper-sensitive world axis point of 0 degrees Aries. The Sun will be at 0 degrees Pisces and the Moon at 0 degrees Virgo, so this is happening on the Virgo Full Moon. Uranus will still be conjunct Mars (their exact conjunction is February 13th - a very powerful and combustible meeting). The Nodes will be squaring Uranus (this has been in play for a few months).

For the next few years as transitting planets interact with Chiron we will be dealing with certain collective (and personal) events. So, for example during Aries season, the Sun will meet Chiron and likely Mercury will meet Chiron and during Libra season, the Sun will oppose Chiron and likely Mercury will oppose Chiron. There will be squares during Cancer and Capricorn season. And times Chiron squares the Nodes. You get the idea. And with Chiron in Aries and answering to Mars we need to keep an eye on what Mars is doing. For example in May, Mars will be in Cancer and squaring Chiron. In early October 2020 - just a few weeks before the Saturn/Pluto conjunction is exact and with multiple planets in Capricorn - Mars will be in Libra opposing Chiron. In March 2020, Mars will be in Capricorn squaring Chiron.

This is the greatest opportunity we have had in 50 years to heal self-worth issues from our childhoods, from our ancestors and from our past lives.

We all have Chiron somewhere in our natal charts.

This is the Achille's heel/early wounding we try to avoid by building walls, staying busy, running away, hitting them before they can hit us, etc. With Chiron's move into Aries, two things happen to our individual charts. 1. Our Aries house gets the opportunity to heal via a visit from the wounded healer Chiron and 2. Chiron starts answering to Mars (Aries ruler) becoming more Martian - this is where the healing through action, through initiative, through courage part comes in.

By the time Chiron takes his leave for Taurus (2026) we are going to have a greater acceptance of ourselves (SELF-LOVE) and an understanding of how our uniquely individual energy is important for healing both our individual life and the entire collective.

Yes, we are that important. Every one of us.

No one is you and THAT is your super-power.

We'll talk more about this as we move through it. I will link to this (as well as other longer-term posts) on the front page of the site, for easier tracking and I'll add a "by house" section which gets more specific when I do that and post a heads-up. Note - some of this post is new and some is from an earlier post from last spring when Chiron ingressed into Aries before his retrograde.

Mars Square the Nodes, Mercury Sextile Uranus, Sun conjunct BML | a fork in the road, moving past our fears, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, liberating speech, a light on something in the shadows, innovative ideas

Fuck-Off by nick sachos

Today we have Mars (in Aries, but only for a little while longer) squaring the North and South Nodes, Mercury, at the very end of Aquarius, sextiling Uranus, at the very end of Aries and trining Pallas. We also have the Sun conjunct Black Moon Lilith (in Aquarius).

So, a few of the week's energetics become exact.

The Moon is waxing through Aries today on cruise control with no need to adjust our speed until late afternoon (5:06PM EST) when she squares sobering Saturn - patience might be needed with this one.

Mars squaring the North and South Nodes of the Moon speaks of a turning point. Squares bring tension/frustration and they can bring out the worst of both planets/points.

Here is where we decide (and with squares events transpire to force our hand) whether to stay stable and stuck and protected or allow ourselves to feel vulnerable as we reach for something more nurturing.

We are moving through the journey of Saturn (ruler of the South Node now) toward Pluto (exact in January 2020, and within a 5 degree orb in just a couple weeks). Since Pluto went into Capricorn in 2008 we have seen how the structures/authority in our lives are working and not working. We've been shown in what ways we don't feel qualified to be in charge of our own lives, the ways and whys we don't step up, the fear in us that is keeping us stuck. We've learned what matters to us the most and what we lose when we seek to control. We've lived the last 11 years in dog years. Time has sped up as Saturn evolves through his Plutonian houseguest.

We are decades older and wiser now.

Mercury will move from airy Aquarius where he has kept ideas/communications moving since January 24th into watery, emotional Pisces. He/she was in Aquarius for only 3 weeks and will be in Pisces, the sign of his detriment, until April 17th (!) - because of his upcoming retrograde. This will slow things down BIGLY. In Pisces he will hook up with Neptune multiple times - good for our imaginations, spiritual work, art, healing - not so good for decision making, paperwork, communication - things will be confusing.

So, the last thing Mercury does before leaving Aquarius is sextile (opportunity - that "click into place") Aquarius ruler Uranus. This is a curve ball we actually catch. A hare-brained scheme that might actually work. Maybe we say/hear just the right thing. Something Uranian - so cool and new and out there, and the words hit their mark. New/surprising information comes in. This is the "innovative thinking" we have been talking about all week. Research could produce sudden or surprising results. Don't be afraid to speak up. The best ideas are outside-the-box now.

That trine (brakes off) to Pallas (in cooperative Libra) tells us this "innovative thinking/speaking up" benefits our partnerships/relationships even as she opposes Uranus now.

We also have the Sun and Black Moon Lilith meeting up in Aquarius. A light is thrown on this outsider energy. We have the confidence to be rebellious/liberated. Someone will be shocking, so I guess someone else will be shocked.

If you are the one with an unscheduled announcement to make now, keep things Aquarian - calm, cool and intellectual.

Sun Sextile Jupiter, Mercury Sextile Mars | take action, make the call, take the call, write the email, get it started/going, partnership/contract revisions, a slow down (and surprise) is coming so get moving

untitled

Our imaginative and spiritual Pisces Moon meets up with Neptune (Pisces ruler) and sextiles Saturn while we sleep then she moves on to a late morning EST square to Jupiter - maybe too much of a good thing this morning or just too much!

The Moon goes void at 5:14PM EST until tomorrow morning, off a sextile to Pluto.

The Moon/Pluto longish void - although we'll sleep through much of it - speaks of intense emotions, powerful women, comfort through intimacy.

Exact this evening, but coloring this week with an increased optimism, we have Jupiter (home in Sag) sextiling (opportunity) our Aquarius Sun at 18 degrees while Mercury (in Aquarius) sextiles Mars at 25 degrees Aries.

Jupiter playing nicely with the Sun is good for increased confidence and self-promotion. The Sun isn't uber strong in Aquarius (since he rules Aquarius polarity sign of Leo, although I avoid saying he is in his detriment since I am an Aquarius Sun!), so this is a nice winter boost for our ego!

This is a new way of believing in something! This is also the time of cosmic blessings (Jupiter/Sun!) - with the Sun in Aquarius, the blessings could be more abstract (not necessarily something we can hold in our hand or hold in our hand right now) or more future-focused. It might not look exactly like we thought it would - but if we can surrender what we thought it should look like - believe in something else/something new - the blessing (via a newer, expanded timeline) can come in.

Mercury (thinking, communication) in cool and logical Aquarius playing nicely with a strong Mars in his home sign means we can speak up for ourselves - in a way that isn't too harsh. This is good energy for new ideas, fresh language, commerce.

Sextiles are opportunities and we activate them by activating the planets (via their energies that we carry) within us. If we do nothing with them, nothing is going to happen!

There are multiple opportunities here. And the Moon is waxing (growing). February is really a month divided - with most of the active energy coming in the first couple weeks. Things are about to slow down. Maybe alot, so what do you need to take action on? Do it now.

Note - I am not talking about jumping from any tall buildings. This isn't a year to bet the farm, folks. It's the long game that makes us lucky. This IS the time to show up, stand tall, make the call, take the first step or the next step.

KEEP MOVING.

Pallas (in cooperative and diplomatic Libra) reaches her exact opposition to Uranus (in Aries, but remember he is co-ruler of Aquarius and the Sun is answering to him now) at 29 degrees. This is the final degree of both signs so brings us to a culmination point/a conclusion. This is the energy of unpredictable Trump (Uranus) pulling the U.S. out of the Russian Nuclear Treaty. Rebelling against wisdom, withholding cooperation. This energy promotes growth through imbalance. Wise and strategic Pallas in Libra sees the need for diplomacy and partnership, but Uranus says - not so fast sister - what about the open fields/NEW over there?

Partnerships, contracts, agreements that need to be shaken up, will be. Don't get into a pissing contest.

Use today's sextiles - expansion through optimism, action joined with wisdom and communication and forward-thinking - to move whatever you have going on FORWARD.

New Moon in Aquarius | February 4, 2019 - the seeds go into the ground, building on that new(ish) idea/information, courage, LIBERATION, expanding beyond our territory, taking action, that rock that hit you in the head when you took one for the team is the rock your new foundation is built on

Today we have a beautiful New Moon - the Moon and Sun meeting at 15 degrees Aquarius at 4:10PM EST.

The Moon and Sun are conjunct a future-oriented and fast-moving Mercury (WORDS ARE OUR SUPER POWER NOW) and sandwiched between Neptune, strong in Pisces and Saturn, strong in Capricorn (and co-ruler of this month's lunation).

If last month's 15 degree New Moon sandwich (in Capricorn between Saturn and Pluto) was stale bologna on two slices of moldy rye, this month we have a delicious turkey club with some smoked bacon and that chipotle mayo we can never find when we are craving it. Except this month, there it is. Behind the ketchup and WTH it's not even expired!

The Saturn/Neptune sextile (the dream works when we do) is EXACT on the New Moon AND forming a comfortable and spacious cocoon around our happy little couple.

Uranus (co-ruler of Aquarius and this month's lunation) is conjunct a strong Mars in Aries and trining (brakes off) a serious Venus, freshly minted in Capricorn. And look at lucky and expansive Jupiter sextiling the Sun, Moon and Mercury AND trining Mars. Our Moon and Sun are also situated right in the middle of a Venus/Chiron square, but Chiron is trining the North Node, so there's that.

You can't see in this chart, but we also have fiery outsider energy Eris exactly conjunct brother Mars and "take no crap" Garden of Eden exile Black Moon Lilith hooked up with Mercury.

There is angry feminine energy howling at our invisible Moon here. Truth bombs. That thing no one ever wants to talk about - well someone is.

Let's unpack this baby.

Mercury is conjunct the lunation, but already past the New Moon (Sun/Moon conjunction) making me think there is an idea here, a conversation, some kind of information that we already had. It's not like it comes around again exactly, but more like it happened already, and factors in here rather importantly.

This would be a good time to sit quietly - especially around the exact time of this New Moon - and ASK FOR A THOUGHT, a confirmation, a spiritual awareness, a way forward! Thoughts are things and ideas are alive and waiting for just the right person, the person who can make them REAL, to grab hold of them.

And with Mercury conjuncting Black Moon Lilith - it could be something rather radical, something a bit risky, something that is not everyone's cup of tea. It might be liberating/revolutionary in some way. Yes, this might be the scary part.

Not everyone is going to agree/want to hear about it/think this is a good idea/come with us.

With Mercury so important here we don't want to be talking any smack today and tomorrow. No gossip. No idle chit chat. Think about what you are thinking about. Think about what you are saying. Don't say "this isn't bad" when you mean "this is good" - be intentional with your language.

Our words are SPELLS and this is powerful spell-making energy - we need to use our words respectfully.

Don't clutter your mind with a bunch of crap either or let anyone over the age of seven talk your ear off about nonsense.

PLEASE WRITE AND SAY YOUR NEW MOON INTENTIONS - even if you are off and on with them, this month with Mercury - the magician - in futuristic Aquarius and conjunct the lunation, you want to be INTENTIONAL.

You are going to manifest something now, it might as well be something you want!

A good thing about Aquarius is that even though this is a New Moon it is not uber sensitive or sentimental. That cool, non-emotional, ability to think on our feet thing helps keep us in the driver's seat here.

The New Moon is sitting between this year's most promising repeating transit - Saturn sextile Neptune. This is where our dreams meet reality (yes, they'll be work and possibly a sacrifice of some sort required) - and look, there is the New Moon exactly where these two energies meet!

With Saturn and Neptune productively working together (and I am not sure if we have seen these two planets in their home signs working together in many, many years, maybe even hundreds of years!) a structure unwinds/dissolves - maybe we sacrifice what we really, really wanted for something else that someone we love really, really needs, maybe we are required to let something/someone go and it really, really hurts, but from these ashes something new (and somewhat radical - a change for us) gets built. Patience is required and commitment. It may not be easy, but there will be ease here ... and opportunity.

Did I say these power players are working together? Did I say it's rather unprecedented to have them doing this from their home signs? Yes, I did!

The Moon is waxing (growing) for the next two weeks - what are we going to do with this?!

And when do we see Jupiter sextiling the New Moon and trining Mars! There is hope here. There is optimism. There is a fresh start with some kick (here's where that chipotle mayo comes in). Physical action will be required from us. We initiate.

Jupiter can also provide opportunity via a widening of our lens, legal support, media/publishing attention, higher education (Saturn in Capricorn wants to see your credentials - is there something you need to earn here?), help from foreigners or through travel.

Active Mars is conjunct anything-can-happen Uranus plus of course, the New Moon is in Uranus ruled AQUARIUS - this whole thing says - do something different. Or differently. Or something liberating. Or something with technology (or astrology) or with a group or cause you believe in. We could also meet someone who is very different with a very strong will - maybe aggressive/dominating, now.

This new thing requires action. Take the initiative. Take action. Get something started.

There is a challenge with that Venus/Chiron square. It makes me think that even with Lilith and Eris playing such large and liberating roles, we are still penned in here somehow - a boundary, a contract, an investment. Maybe we are short-changed with something or our self-esteem takes a hit. Still, Venus (as us) can move past this hurting/healing (if we allow ourselves to) through that responsible Capricorn energy. And through the release - remember the South Node is here - of our old stories. Old karma. The stuff that used to keep us safe, but now is just keeping us stuck.

There is energy here to be free and liberated, but we can't just be free and liberated.

We still have Saturn/Pluto breathing down our necks. It's still winter. Ignore the cute groundhog, I want spring, too, but this winter takes us all the way into 2020. Trust me on this one.

This is our annual Aquarius New Moon and we had 18 months to release the Aquarius crap when the South Node was in Aquarius last year - eliminating our lazy detachment, deleting the distractions, releasing the alienation and our need to get lost in the crowd and hide out in the audience - if we did our work - and we are not required to do our work perfectly - we are left with a cool head, an open mind and enough emotional distance from whatever we are building to allow the magical forces in play to work for and through us!

This New Moon is releasing our chapter of the last 6 months - remember that total Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius last July and that crazy Mars retrograde in Aquarius!

New Moons and particularly the two weeks that follow them are initiatory energy.

Stuff starts.

Of course, for stuff to start, other stuff has to end.

The energy here is supporting the fresh start, so a focus on that part pushes us forward.

NEW MOON INTENTIONS

AFFIRMATION TIPS for your monthly New Moon: always make affirmations from a positive place (positive meaning both happy, light hearted and certain) - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud. Then release your attention from these things knowing that your intention is known.

Know these things are already yours.

Our Solar Return is when the Sun gets back to the same degree we drew our first breath (our birthday or very near our birthday) and the chart for that moment is very useful in looking at our year ahead. This New Moon chart is my Solar Return chart since my natal Sun is at 15 degrees Aquarius - the houses are different, of course (I have Sun, Moon, Mercury in the 8th house in this year's Solar Return - this one scared me enough to consider traveling to change it, but then I decided to suck it up and figure out how to work with it, you can run, but you can't hide Cat, plus since this is the house of death, I'm counting on that whole 9 lives thing). My Solar Return chart has the Pluto/Saturn conjunction sitting on my descendant, too, and when I first saw that, I gasped. I kicked and screamed. I threw up a little in my mouth. Then sucked it up (like literally this time, it was disgusting), because it has to be somewhere. The year ahead is going to be big and bodacious, with lots of twists and turns and surprises ahead (with one coming as early as next week) - for all of us!

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of February 4th - fresh collaborations, new friends, leaning forward, unconventional ideas and communications, wild women, a cross-roads, intuition, a push for something new

porcelain

This week we have an important New Moon and two planets changing signs!

MONDAY - New Moon in Aquarius at 15 degrees
TUESDAY - Mercury conjunct Black Moon Lilith
THURSDAY - Sun sextile Jupiter, Mars Sextile Mercury
FRIDAY/SATURDAY - Mars squares the Nodes of Fate
SATURDAY - Sun conjunct Black Moon Lilith
SUNDAY - Mercury into Pisces, Mars trine the Galactic Center

On MONDAY we have an energizing New Moon at 15 degrees Aquarius. I am going to do a big post on that and will link to it HERE. The Moon will be sextile (opportunity) expansive Jupiter and conjunct a stable Mercury in Capricorn. This is good energy for communications, especially with friends, good for commerce and group/team chit chat.

On TUESDAY, Mercury will conjunct rebellious, and not taking anyone's crap, Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (she is a  major player in the New Moon energy, too). It's a time for controversial conversations/information. The stuff not everyone is ready to hear. The Moon goes Void at 6:59PM EST until she moves into Pisces at 9:02PM EST - focusing us on Piscean themes - art, music, meditation, our imagination, healing, spirituality, the past, secrets, our self-sabotaging escape mechanisms - for the next couple days. Tuesday is the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Boar (earth pig) - think prosperity and pleasure, but also the joy of moderation.

See THURSDAY'S post HERE - I missed Thursday somehow when writing this! Sorry - mixed up my days somehow.

On FRIDAY/SATURDAY, Mars squares the North (Cancer) and South (Capricorn) Nodes of the Moon. This is tension/frustration.

Here's where the path divides in the woods. Here's where a corner needs to be turned.

Are we taking the well-worn path we have traveled before (Cappy) - the path where our security comes from something outside ourselves (from the job, the title, the corner office) - more traditional symbols or success and status or are we taking another well-worn path (Cancer) that brings us home - to ourselves, to our needs, to our roots, to greater emotional security - even if it makes us feel more vulnerable right now? Can we trust that we live in a nurturing universe that has our back even when we let our guard down? Even if we decide the rat race will have to continue with one less rat?

No blue ribbon for us. No extra slice of cheese.

There could be something here about taking care of ourselves in better ways than our usual slap-dash self-care - kiss it and toss on a band aid, work until we drop and need a mental health day. With the North Node in Cancer this year we get further now through connection, family, our tribes and communities - call your mother! - through nurturing ourselves.

Do you know the themes of your natal Cancer and Capricorn houses? That's your personal field of play.

The Moon goes Void on Thursday night at 5:14PM and moves into fiery Aries on FRIDAY morning at 9:34AM EST. The Aries Moon is going to square Venus and Saturn in Capricorn, so this could be about our needs being challenged by authority. What we want and what we have to do to get it are at a gridlock. Adjustments are required.

With the Sun moving into a conjunction on SATURDAY with liberating bad-girl Black Moon Lilith, this week's pivots could see us move toward something less conventional and more liberating and

with Mercury's move into Pisces on SUNDAY it might be time to trust our intuition (maybe let go and let God or retreat a bit and look under the covers) with whatever we have going on!

Mercury is considered in her fall/detriment in Pisces (because she/he rules Pisces polarity sign of Virgo).

Virgo's Mercury likes things clear and concise - she wants B to follow A and is sure things would move more efficiently if everyone would just dot their I's and cross their T's.

Pisces (ruled by Neptune and ruler of our collective 12th house) is the space where rules/boundaries are more fluid. B might follow A. But just as easily A could drift right on past B.

It is the space of imagination, universal love, our dreams, spirituality, our connection to each other through the ethereal realms and our emotions, the ways we escape, the things we do last, the things we put away, addictions, delusions, hospitals, prisons, addicts, victims, saviors, martyrs.

You can see how fast-moving Mercury could be a bit out-of-whack here.

So maybe our thinking slows down a bit. Our words drift off course. We started to say this and now we are saying that. The words that were so clear and crisp in airy Aquarius, don't come as easily because maybe we start feeling their impact on the other person now. Or maybe we start feeling like one of those old anti-drug commercials but instead of eggs - it is our brain frying on the sidewalk.

Details will be fuzzy. Our thinking might be, too.

With Pisces ruler of the last house of the zodiac maybe a conversation comes to an end now. Our natal Pisces house - what house has Pisces on the cusp in your natal chart? - a space we are naturally inclined to more dreamy, Piscean ways - suddenly WAKES UP. Our attention goes there.

Mercury is going to go retrograde here - so you can see we have a challenging Mercury retrograde ahead for us in March and into April!

Also on SUNDAY, Mars, after his square to the Nodes just a couple days before is going to trine (brakes off) the Galactic Center (seat of creation in our Milky Way Galaxy) - whatever path we are taking Mars wants us to get moving on it right NOW.

We'll feel the push toward something new and creative!

And look at all the female ball-busting Black Moon Lilith energy this week - I wonder how this will play out in the collective? Buy some popcorn!

Venus into Capricorn | balance the checkbook, attracting what we've earned, honoring commitments, love and money get sticky, get to work girls

water and wine

Venus (love, money, women, values, self-esteem, beauty) moves into Capricorn today. This follows her square to Chiron - so whatever is hurting here - the fix is Saturnian (ruler of Capricorn). Take it seriously. Do what you have to do. Clean the bathroom. Yada, yada.

Capricorn is the sign of structure and discipline. In Capricorn season (winter) these are the qualities that kept our ancestors alive. When Venus visits this space of the heavens these are the qualities that help us attract what we want and need.

Capricorn Suns and Risings get more attractive now (more able to attract what they want and easier on the eye). Our Capricorn houses (natal) become more attractive, too.

Enjoy this energy dear Cappys - you have most decidedly earned it. Invest in yourself now!

This is the time to get serious with Venus ruled themes.

There is beauty in a balanced checkbook. Make a budget (even if it means we give ourselves a cash allowance each week and stop spending when it's gone). Check our insurance policies - do we need more insurance? Do we need all this insurance? Can we find our insurance policies if we need them? Do we have the right paperwork in our car?

Where are we investing our resources - time, esteem, money? What are we getting back? Are we putting a whole lot of time into one thing, but all our revenue is coming from this other thing?

Sometimes this is ok, but maybe it's not. It's time to check in with ourselves.

Venus in Capricorn is an excellent time for organizing our finances so we can attract more money that sticks.

I used to be a Bank Manager and noticed that how a person attracted/earned their money usually correlated to how sticky that money was.

And I once wasted a ridiculous amount of money on something I hadn't done enough research on because the money had come to me too easily; a way my self-esteem, at that time, wasn't connected to.

Venus in Capricorn allows us to recognize we attract what we earn

(ie if we've attracted it, we HAVE earned it),

so we get to KEEP it.

We really only have to earn everything by the sweat of our brow if we believe we do, although with Venus in Capricorn there will be sweat!

Tradition will become a focus - the way something has always been done. This doesn't mean we have to continue doing things the way we've always done them, but these things will come to our attention now.

We get more serious about love, too. If something isn't going anywhere, this can be the transit we cut it loose. Our focus returns to what is real. We attract stability and longer lasting success/love/money by finishing what we start and honoring our commitments.

Venus will be in Capricorn until March 1st - it's time to get to work.

Changing up the blog - please hang in there if things are wonky and keep changing!

Mars Square Pluto | tension, jealousy, anger, courage and nerves of steel, no wiggle room, manipulation, power struggles, hair-triggers, ruthlessness, the passion we are repressing can get turned back on us, the power to make permanent changes, focusing our will, expressing anger, working with power, clearing the decks, kicking a bad habit

Today, Mars (passion, anger, initiative, impulsiveness) in Aries squares Pluto (in Capricorn) at 21 degrees.

Squares denote tension/crisis/frustration and we are only 1 degree from 22 degrees Capricorn where Pluto and Saturn will meet in January 2020.

This energy will carry into Saturday when our Moon (in Capricorn) will join Pluto and square Mars. The Cappy Moon will also help stabilize things and ground us in reality.

Mars is powerful in his home sign and Pluto is, well Pluto is Pluto. Expect intense competition and unbridled ambition. Manipulations. Obsessions. Jealousy. Your power could be challenged or you could be the one doing the calling out.

Mercury is in smart and cool-headed Aquarius. Use that.

Keep a focus on what you are trying to accomplish and how important whatever is happening actually is. Do you really need to win here? The fight about the parking space will not be a fight about a parking place, but about every other time someone has taken something you thought you should have. Keep this in mind. The other person will be feeling the same energy, too, so things can get out of control quickly.

If you are "waked" this is the time to think about why this situation is "triggering" you. If we are repressing anger/passion/strong urges - here's where the lid comes off and this stuff will get played out through other people.

If your kid is tossing a crazy fit - think about what you are repressing!

There is real power here.

Squares denote tension and crisis and create change. Plutonian changes are permanent. The ground has been scorched and there is no going back. Very deep issues can be challenged and put to bed. The bed won't be covered in rose petals, but at least the struggle with this one will be over.

Mars and Pluto met up back at the end of April 2018 - so whatever is happening could relate back to whatever kicked off then. We could be mad (Mars) at the truth (Pluto). We could be battling (Mars) for power/control (Pluto).

So, if the tension is a minor thing (the parking lot space as an example) - take a breath, channel some higher ground, use that cool headed Aquarius magic you have access to, to live to fight another day. Pluto does rule death, folks. And being squashed by an irate driver doesn't sound like how we want to spend the first Friday of February, right?

On the other hand maybe we really DO need to win/stand up for ourselves here - and for many this could be a work/career situation - if this is the case, we will probably not be able to just dis-engage.

We don't want to be ruthless or under-handed, but we might have to stand up for ourselves - in a calm, cool, intelligent Aquarian kind of way!

We have access to courage (Mars/Aries) and nerves of steel (Mercury/Aquarius) now.

We might be working with themes of -

Where do I need to stand up for myself? How can I focus my will? How do I express anger? How do I work with power? When is my anger out of proportion to the situation?

Avoid unnecessary run ins with the boss/authority because THEY WILL WIN. If you are the boss/authority avoid making other people feel threatened because YOU WILL LOSE in the long run. And we are playing a long game here. Keep this in mind.

Anger can be a “negative” emotion,  when perverted into rage or violence or when it is repressed, so that it squeezes out sideways in passive-aggressive responses and actions.

But anger is passion, too.

We can't get angry if we don't care.

Passion is the energy of creation - passion makes the world. Anger is a similar energy alerting us to the need to remake our world when our creation has gone wrong. Let's try to stay conscious.

And get some physical exercise. Mars needs to move.

What a day for the Trump administration to announce withdrawal from a 1987 nuclear arms (Pluto) control treaty with Russia ...

this is great energy for permanent change - breaking a bad habit especially something self-harming like smoking, cutting loose from something that is strangling us, clearing the decks for next week's New Moon in Aquarius

Mars Trine Jupiter, Ceres Into Sagittarius | just START, the braver we are the luckier we get, life is helping us get out of the things that no longer make sense, moving from grief to hopefulness, support for caregivers and nurturers, time to find a way through

Today we have Mars (in Aries) trining Jupiter (in Sag) at 16 degrees. Mars - our passion, initiative, how we go about getting what we want - in fiery Aries (his home sign) is the ultimate energy to START. Trining (brakes off) our lucky and abundant Jupiter - another powerhouse in his home sign - tells us it is the time to get something GOING.

Be brave!

The waxing Libra Moon (the Moon moved into Libra last night at 11:02PM EST) and the Aquarius Sun are trining, too. This is great energy for collaboration, cooperative ventures, taking action within a group or in a public setting. Promotion. BOLD communication.

Whatever it is - do you know the themes of your natal Sagittarius and Aries houses? It's a GO.

Mars will give us the courage to try and the trines will allow the right energies to fall into place smoothly.

There is no beating our head against the wall with this one.

The only fly in today's ointment is the Moon squaring Saturn late in the evening. This could have us butting heads with authority/limits/time or forecast tension between our partners/partnerships and our goals/career.

Another positive today, and this one is long-lasting, is Ceres (who is set to play a big role in January 2020's meeting of Saturn/Pluto - energies in play now) is coming up from the depths of the Plutonian realm of Scorpio and flying into the blue skies of Sagittarius.

Life has been trying to help us get out of the things that no longer make sense. We are creatures that are literally created from a craving for what is familiar. It is hard to let go.

We are like, "sure I can get rid of things/beliefs/situations/people .. oh wait, THAT?, no, I don't want to get rid of THAT!"

Ceres out of the underworld will help.

It is not about forgetting - our loss/lack of control - but now able to get to a loftier perch we can see the big picture or maybe a glimpse of those bluer skies available to us in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Ceres out of Scorpio and into more optimistic Sag is good news for caretakers and nurturers.

Ceres will be in Sagittarius (including her retrograde) until the middle of November. This is good news for our Ceres storylines - lack of control especially involving losses, cycle of life changes, nurturing, loss of beloved pets and loved ones. We can feel better.  The first step is wanting to feel better. We can have faith that things are falling into place even in the times they look like they are just falling apart. Bigger hands than ours have got this thing.

Jupiter is the sign of faith and we have the great gift this year of Jupiter in his home sign. Faith truly can move mountains.

Mercury is finally in a friendly air sign. Ceres is out of Scorpio. Mars is playing nicely with Jupiter and Mars won't be in Aries for long folks, we better get MOVING.

Saturn is moving into a sextile with Neptune next week

(remember in 2016 when we only had Saturn/Neptune squares that seemed to erode what was genuine/all hope of things just being normal and ordinary, we couldn't tell what was real - well in 2019, we are getting the opportunistic sextiles - the spaces where reality and our dreams can come together! the disillusionment and surreality of the past leading us to some solid understandings).

Yes, there are challenges ahead. There are always challenges.

But, things are looking up today. We can be, too. Lift your head. Have courage. Find a way through.

Mercury into Aquarius thru February 10th | the conversation changes, our thinking shifts, seeing situations from a less emotional perch, don't look backward you aren't going that way

Mercury (our thinking, information, communication) FINALLY gets into an air sign today with his/her move into detached and future-focused Aquarius.

Yes, it's fixed air, so people are not always flexible, but at least we've got some air!

One less planet in cardinal Capricorn and, now, without the South Node in Aquarius - detachment can be our friend. We step back. We view our situation from an observer position.

Does what we are saying/signing/thinking/writing MAKE SENSE?!

Some people think Aquarius represents independence (Aries), but more accurately Aquarius represents individuality. Think about it. There is an independent spirit here, yes, but since Aquarius rules the 11th house of groups, it shows people bound together by a cause. So, in Aquarius we find a better way to work together so it benefits everyone or else we go our own way.

These are the only two outcomes for Aquarius. Aquarius is the space in your chart where it's never going to work to follow the crowd just for the sake of fitting in, you will always have to do things differently. Our rough, uncomfortable rebel edges are there for a reason.

So, three things happen when Mercury changes signs.

Mercury changes (the conversation changes, our thinking changes, we are more innovative, we can detach emotionally from our thoughts, there is more air in this room so maybe we can breathe easier). The house Mercury exits changes (Cappy house slows/relaxes a tiny bit). The house Mercury enters changes (Aquarius house - roused by the Sun just a couple days ago - gets busy).

Poor Mercury has been through hell these last few months - and now I am going to write a disclaimer before I go any further because my natal Mercury has been dealing with transitting Pluto (can we deal with Pluto? I think maybe not, Pluto simply deals with us and we survive it ... or we don't) - exact now for the third time within the last two years, with two passes to go - I am far from thinking straight. Plutonic transformations are incredibly painful and challenging. When Pluto combines with another planet, he hides that planet's influence from us. That paradigm becomes a blind spot. Mercury is tricky (and he is the trickster, so eternally tricky) for me to clearly see my way to these days, so keep that in mind when I write about him/her. On the other hand I could be seeing things clearer. I am zeroed in here (on the stuff I can no longer see) like a laser beam. It's difficult to explain. Perhaps like breathing we can only get truly focused on this stuff when we are drowning.

OK - back to our collective Mercury energy.

In just the last few months he has had to walk through Scorpio - the spaces Venus, retrograde in Scorpio, had dropped her landmines, then flew up into Sagittarius - where Mercury, the ruler of Sag's polarity sign Gemini, is debilitated. And in Sagittarius, she had to meet up with Jupiter and do their annual forest vs the trees thing, but this year Jupiter, in his home sign was uber strong, so the trees got lost. Then she went retrograde squaring dreamy/foggy Neptune, not fun for Mercury who just wants facts and details and to keep moving forward. How do we make decisions? How do we make plans? How do we know what the hell is going on? Then Mercury finally gets out of Sag and into Capricorn and immediately runs right into Saturn. A limit. A wall. A "no". A delay. And then he had to deal with the Eclipse cycle and square the planets in cardinal signs like Chiron and Mars and Uranus and then last week she had to meet up with Pluto.

Airy Aquarius will be better.

This isn't going to last long though - only until February 10th - because next stop is Pisces (this is our brain on drugs) and he is going to get all the way to the very end of Pisces and then station retrograde, the day before Uranus gets back into Taurus and Mars will be in Taurus, too. Unless you are over 84 years old and maybe not even then, we have not had Uranus and Mars both in Taurus at the same time. And Mercury will be retrograde ... in Pisces. March is going to be cray-cray.

For now though, we have all the energies moving ahead. We have multiple planets in their home signs. And now we have Mercury very happy to finally get into an air sign where he can be himself!

We can see the information we need to see from a more detached space. Say what needs to be said. Hear what we couldn't hear before when maybe the words triggered us too much emotionally. We get more logical. Also more innovative. The facts will be presented in a more cold and clear fashion, but at least we know they are facts.

Mercury in Aquarius is about clear-headed, dispassionate thinking focused on the future. Its clarity comes from the space that is generated from detachment. We mentally step back a little bit and the pictures in our head get a little clearer, our words a little more sharp. She can also focus us on what "the crowd" is doing. Not only so Aquarius can join in (if she wants to), but also so she, as we, can think about what the crowd hasn't thought about yet!

Aquarius is fixed air, so people will still dig into their positions, but we will all be subject to flashes of pure genius.

Aquarius rules the collective. It's time to get out and talk to people. Aquarius wants most of all to advance, so HERE WE GO.

Venus Conjunct Jupiter, Mercury Conjunct South Node | now would be the time to ask yourself - do you feel lucky? - a leap of faith, attraction on steroids, optimism is magnetic, defining words, conversation from the past, saying it/hearing it again, a line in the sand, an ending, a powerful good-bye

Our heart-centered and fun-loving Leo Moon makes nice with Jupiter (11:29 AM EST) before going void off another trine to Uranus at 8:19PM EST - a good night to do something different; something liberating. She will move into organized Virgo tonight (10:22PM EST) focusing us on Virgo themes for the next couple days - our work, day-to-day activities, paperwork, planning, pets, cleaning, editing, the dotting our i's and crossing our t's stuff, you get the idea.

TODAY is all about Venus (love, money, values, beauty, women, resources, self-esteem) and Jupiter (expansion, optimism, the kind of luck that comes from feeling lucky) meeting at 16 degrees Sagittarius.

You gotta ask yourself - do you feel lucky?

To get lucky in Sagittarius - and this transit has added oomph because this is happening in Jupiter's home sign - we need to be optimistic.

We need to be reaching for something outside our comfort zone.

This isn't about more of the same old same old. Venus in Sag has one eye on the distant horizon anyway. She has faith in it. That green grass over there. No, way over there - she wants some of that.

The other BIG news now is we have Mercury (communication, news, information) meeting the South Node (ending, finalizing, the past) in serious Capricorn.

This could be connected to the Venus/Jupiter attraction/expansion or something else and keep in mind just because these aspects are exact today we might not experience this today.

Mercury/South Node speaks of information from the past or carried by someone from our past (or something/someone familiar).

There could be information that finalizes something/lays something to rest. That was then. This is now.

Something (conversation/information/official paperwork) clarifies where we stand.

There is a line in the sand, an ending, a powerful good-bye.

Both of today's powerful conjunctions were in play during the Eclipse. And time is extra tricky around eclipses - so this might have already happened.

Today's Leo Moon's trine to Jupiter hasn't already happened though and that is magnanimous and "lucky" all on its own.

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | the week of January 21st - from obstacles to optimism this week, breakthroughs and breakdowns, our energy supply is exhausted - really avoid those vampires now - a limit is reached, the more we want the more we can get, BIG love, words from the past, a conclusion, an ending, unexpected news, our actions make us lucky and yes, we can get there from here, but it won't be by traveling in a straight line

Ouuu by Dzagna

This is another BIG week.
Today we have the exact square between fast moving, impulsive and youthful Mars (in his home sign of Aries, so strong and brave) and "the wall" Saturn (in his home sign of Cappy, so strong and solid and able to outlast Mars) - we talked about this in the Eclipse post - scroll down to Saturn/Mars.

Maybe our energy reaches its limit. These times are exhausting many people. People who are used to standing on solid ground need to expend a whole lot of energy to maintain their balance when the ground is shaking.

Mars runs into Saturn early in the day (EST) so it could be we run right into an obstacle.

Mars/Saturn is heavy. It can be depressing. It can even be cruel. Hang in there. If something really doesn't need to be done today (and maybe it actually never needs to be done at all) this would be the time to cross it off your list. Saturn rules time and (even though it's another construct that isn't as firm as we think it is and won't always be needed here) won't see it wasted.

Take some action somewhere though. When Mars can't move at all he gets mad. Work up a sweat. Just know your limits. Don't go beating your head against a wall. The wall will win. And you will be stuck with a killer headache and a hole the size of a basketball (yes, I've noticed that big head you have - me, too).

On Friday, Mars is going to trine Jupiter - things will ease up and UP. Is it hard to believe in just a couple days we will be feeling lucky? It is for me!

Maybe the struggle early in the week will pay off later in the week.

At the very least some optimism will return.

Tomorrow is a big day. Venus is going to conjunct Jupiter (love grows, money grows) so there are blue skies right over there. Believe it.

The more we want, the more we want, but also the more we can get.

And Mercury is going to conjunct the South Node. There could be a message from the past or a concluding situation with a sibling/Mercury theme. Paperwork could be finalized. Good-byes are permanent with this one.

On Wednesday, Mercury is going to square Uranus - unexpected news/information. Plans move in a new direction. Stuff goes off-course.

You can see this week is up and down with the possibilities for major breakthroughs and breakdowns and for those breakdowns/breakthroughs we have experienced over the last month some opportunities for movement and process.

The Moon is in Leo today - there's fun to be had somewhere ...

Mercury conjunct Pluto, Venus trine Mars, the Sun square Uranus sextiles Chiron | the power of information, secrets are revealed, deep conversations, solutions, decisions, words come up and out, psychic communications, announcements, lucrative ideas, our actions getting us what we want, change hurts and heals, wanting to BOLT

Lots of aspects today as we build toward the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on Sunday/Monday. I wrote about it HERE

We have Mercury conjunct Pluto at 21 degrees Capricorn (right on my natal Mercury and I have been working with Mercury/Pluto for a couple years. I am going to write tonight about how all this is playing out ... this morning I am going to acupuncture to have some needles stuck in my head which sounds about right, too).

Venus (in Sag) trines Mars (in Aries) at 11 degrees. The Sun (still in Cappy for a couple more days) squares Uranus (!), sextiles Chiron AND we have our monthly waxing inconjunct between the Sun and the Moon - this time from Capricorn and Gemini. The Moon goes void at 8:32PM EST (off a sextile to Uranus - do something different tonight) and then comes home to family/real estate/mother focused Cancer at 10:44PM EST for the weekend.

Other than the Moon - everything here is in play during the upcoming Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.

Did I already say I wrote about it HERE?

With the Moon (in Gemini) answering to Mercury, deep in Pluto territory the stage is set for honest communications. We get to the bottom of things. Conversations (usually light and chatty during Gemini Moon days) go deep - and maybe dark. Information is dug up. It may not all be things we want to know. Although on some level we are seeking any painful revelations. Discussions can be intimate. Good for research. Secrets are unearthed. Words (Mercury) are powerful (Pluto). Power struggles, communications with powerful people or where our own powerful underpinnings are awakened are possible. Shadow issues and what we do in the dark (sex, death, taxes, reproduction) are talked about. It's good energy to verbalize what we are carrying inside. Keep in mind the Sun is squaring Uranus, so we are all one step from bolting/running away from something and our words are powerful now.

Mercury in Cappy - picture the serious reporter with the pencil behind his ear and his fingertips on the typewriter getting the important story out because he is doing his job - who meets up with Pluto today giving Pluto (transformation/death) a voice.

Words will really deliver a punch now. Maybe even a knock-out blow. Keep this in mind.

Venus and Mars are playing nice - so our actions (Mars) can get us what we want (Venus). Our masculine and feminine energies are working smoothly together. Flames are fanned. With Venus in big-thinking Sagittarius and approaching her conjunction with Jupiter next week - there is an ability to see the bigger picture with whatever is going on and especially with love/money issues. These two energies together in the signs they are in have a definite "GO" feel to it.

The Sun squaring Uranus is a need for freedom/liberation/trying something new. Plans change, so expect the unexpected. Disruptions. Chaos. Anything can happen. The Sun's sextile to Chiron at the same time speaks of an opportunity for healing (remember Chironic wounds are healed through acceptance of what we have to learn to live with) coming through whatever gets stirred up here. We are healed through the change/disruption. If you need a mental health break you will really need to take it now.

The waxing inconjunct is a rock and a hard place between Capricorn and Gemini - maybe those answers/plot twists Mercury is digging up leave us with no where to hide anymore .....

Full Moon, Super Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo | January 20-21, 2019 - the wall, patience, major endings, an unexpected change of direction, a female leaves the table, raising our vision over that wall, the final leg of that 'following our heart" thingie which might come from what feels like the other legs being kicked out from under us

Let's step back and look at the big picture - we are living under the drumbeat of Saturn (the patriarchy, the "man", the establishment, that someone/something who knows better than us and keeps us safe) walking the Green Mile toward Pluto (death/transformation).

That shaking ground is real.

Saturn is going to get all the way to 20 degrees Capricorn (this April) then station retrograde. It will be January 2020 before he finally reaches Pluto (22 degrees Capricorn). Checkmate.

But the chapter where Saturn (as us) is called to cash in his chips - has already started.

(Saturn's changes are happening in the metaphysical realm but also in the physical world. I wasn't too surprised to find THIS article just a couple weeks ago)

This is the evolution of consciousness and it sounds like a very big deal because it is a very big deal.

Not long ago we lived in a world comfortably made up of things - like protons and electrons and leather reclining chairs and now we live in a startlingly more uncomfortable world - because comfort comes from familiarity - made up of energy - that creates stuff like protons and electrons and leather reclining chairs and people and then goes back to being energy again AND this energy cannot be destroyed and most importantly - what this energy does is totally dependent on who is observing it.

We see things differently because we actually see different things.

(and I'm not talking Facebook, but yes, one billion of us on Facebook is part of this - as above so below, thoughts become things, etc)

Cue the shaking ground.

Our quantum paradigm has changed everything. The world shifted as soon as someone figured out the world didn't really work the way we thought it did and once one person knew/remembered WE ALL DID.

And we might not know we know, but just had a thought like "what the hell is really going on here? what the hell is true?".

When Kelly-Anne Conway coined the term "alternative facts" on January 22, 2017 (yes, almost exactly two years before this eclipse and yes, I am quoting Kelly-Anne Conway now, WTH people!!) - she didn't know the "truth" of what she was saying. It wasn't actually her boss, the former reality tv-show host that killed reality (again the whole as above so below thing), but it might feel like he did. Getting rid of Trump isn't going to flip us all back to one-reality though!

People are uncalibrating all over the place. No one knows what to believe anymore.

The one-reality world has gone/is going bye-bye and it will make us totally insane to try and hold onto it. It served us well for a while as a way to stay safe, but now that need for other people "to see/believe/experience things the same way we do" is chewing us up and spitting us out.

Our world being shaped by the observer means that we truly are all living in different worlds; worlds that we are co-creating as we go along.

The time when we looked for someone over us to explain it all to us is ending.

At the same time it is not our job any longer to convince anybody of anything.

We can share what we think/believe. We can be inspired by what they think/believe (or triggered if we want to stay playing a losing game, which to a greater or lesser extent we are all still playing). But if we are still searching after some kind of absolute something, some kind of pecking order of truth where one fact/belief is more important or more true than another fact/belief we are barking up a tree that was long ago chopped down to build a pedestal someone is about to fall from.

We have no clear idea of what this is all going to look like, this world without the structures and pedestals and beliefs (in government, in religion, in hierarchies), we have depended on to keep us safe (that have also been keeping us stuck) because we are co-creating this whole thing as we go along!

We have to work the process.

This eclipse (a culmination event from our journey of the last two years) - is part of that process. So, let's take a look at it.

The Sun (at 0 degrees Aquarius) opposes the Moon (at 0 degrees Leo) at 12:15AM EST on January 21st (which is Monday, but this is really late Sunday night). So close to the Nodes of the Moon this is a Lunar Eclipse so close to the Earth, this is a Super Moon Lunar Eclipse.

Full Moons are times of fullness. Stuff reaches a culmination, a peak, an ending. Eclipses eclipse things out of our life or out of our way. Lunar eclipses sometimes denote the loss of a female energy - a nurturing energy or an actual female person or animal. And like every ending, the Full Moon Lunar eclipse is also a time of beginning - and zero degrees Leo means an especially fresh, especially heart-centered start for any new beginning. Keep in mind the timing of eclipse events is tricky because eclipses work backward as well as forward. I often see events one month before or after, give or take a day or two, or one week before or after, again give or take a day or two. Lunar Eclipses give the Full Moon chart added oomph and added staying power allowing the energies to play out over 18 months instead of the usual six.

With this Full Moon, the Sun and Moon (and North and South Nodes) are squaring Uranus - the planet of fast change, chaos, the future. With the Moon in Leo, the Sun (ruler of Leo) rules the Eclipse and with the Sun in Aquarius (answering to Uranus and Saturn) that T-Square to Uranus is even more powerful. Saturn is strong and home in Capricorn and exactly squaring Mars, strong and home in Aries. Venus and Jupiter (strong in Sagittarius) are conjunct (exact next week) and sextiling Saturn and trining Mars - they are our golden ticket here. And of course, because the golden ticket always comes with a bit of a "buyer beware" (that fly in the ointment thing) the chocolate bar it is wrapped around good for cavities and sugar headaches, I guess - the good stuff is squaring dreamy Neptune. Most of Pluto's stuff is pretty wide, but he is conjunct Mercury - this is the deep truth, unearthing/merging/purging/financial/death stuff we have been talking about this week.

This is alot to unpack and my head is still clogged with a head cold/sinusy/flu thing, but we will give it a go.

Saturn/Mars speaks of the need for patience. Something is slowing us down - maybe the rules are not permitting something or the document isn't signed correctly. Whatever we are trying to get moving is stopped or slowed. No point going all cray-cray about it. Cooler heads will prevail, so be one of those. With Mars/Saturn both strong in their home signs - any battle - crisis/tension - will be won by Saturn (yes, he's on a death march, but he ain't dead/transformed just yet). Saturn wins here. The rules are enforced. The document must be notarized. Pushing only gets us a sore back. You get the idea. Time is on our side.

That square to Uranus speak of pressure/chaos - fast change, something unexpected. I know this seems like the opposite of "time is on our side", but really it isn't. The T-square is moving us into a possible change of direction. In March, Uranus is going to square this eclipse Sun, so something happening now will connect to that time period.

The Venus/Jupiter conjunction that trines (brakes off) and sextiles (opportunity) Mars and Saturn is our golden ticket/escape clause here. In Sagittarius luck is on our side here. That sextile to karmic Saturn from the mountaintops of Sag makes me think we win by seeing our situation from a loftier perch. From a wider/higher perspective. We know why what is happening is happening.

Maybe the real opportunity (sextile to stable Saturn) luck/expansion (Jupiter) and attraction (Venus) comes from a fast change (Uranus) in our perspective/beliefs. Or some other Sagittarian thingie done quickly - a fast trip, an out-of-the-blue instruction, a conversation with a foreigner, a visit to a church, a wedding (a quickie wedding? I don't know!), something optimistic and stretchy!

Keep in mind our benefics are both squaring Neptune - remember the Jupiter/Neptune square in play for most of 2019 - making for excellent manifestation potential, Neptune adds magic, but also the potential for things to appear better than they actually are/delusional. Avoid excessive anything. Don't overspend. Don't over invest any part of yourself in anything too pie in the sky.

If this eclipse is hitting your chart you are already feeling it or about to be and it is BIG.

The bottom line though is that this is the last of the Leo eclipses - following our heart, taking the center stage of our own life, creating something we can be proud of, taking care of the children/our inner child, the tender romance, the theme of our Leo house. Something here is being impacted. Mars/Saturn usually indicates hard work (maybe also cruelty, so be careful with your personal safety now, too), but also that our actions (Mars) can amount to something real (Saturn).

I would say don't forget to get out and walk in it, but eclipses are powerful, so I will leave that up to you - do make some space for it (maybe appease/barter with the 'eclipse something out' part) by giving something away.

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | the rest of the week as we build toward the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse - letting go, looking at our roots and the ties that bind, this is how power structures crumble, secrets, power plays, what is being unearthed, more merging and purging, back to August 2017

Jelly fishes by ankazhuravleva

This is a really HUGE week and I do everyone a dis-service by writing about it in a daily/piece-meal kind of way, so I'll push my clogged head to look a bit further this morning.

All week we've had our Capricorn Sun moving toward the South Node (exact on Thursday, but events don't always transpire when energies are exact, so this is in play all week - major endings, major decisions, forces that have previously stabilized us exiting stage left) and then when the Sun finally, finally gets the hell out of Capricorn and takes his first breathe of Aquarian air he (as we) gets hit with the Full Moon Solar eclipse (on Monday EST) squaring Uranus. Wham. Bam. No thank you ma'am.

Let's start with WEDNESDAY - the Moon is in comfort seeking Taurus doing her best to provide us with some kind of grounding. We have to meet her halfway here by taking the time to breathe through whatever we have going on. Get out in nature. Eat some roots vegetables. Take a bath. You know the drill. Before her Void at 1:34PM EST - get things done early today, folks - she will trine Pluto and then the Sun, so something can fall into place here - steady and solid, not fast though since Taurus is fixed earth, PROGRESS.

Having the Moon in Taurus the last couple days has been a HUGE help to us.

Her trine (brakes off) this afternoon from her perch in Taurus to the sober Sun in Cappy will grant us the ability to make some progress - especially after any obstacles of the last couple days - keep in mind Taurus is all about our existing resources (time, money, valuables, beauty, self-esteem). We are working with what we own here. Whatever we have going on is building on the solid structures we already have, the trine assures that even in the most shaky situations, there is solid ground to be found here.

By THURSDAY - the Moon will be in busy, communicative Gemini for the next couple days - in Gemini she is going to oppose Venus (in Sag), sextile Mars (in Aries), square Neptune (in Pisces) oppose Jupiter (in Sag) and sextile Uranus (in Aries). You can see how by just following the Moons you can know so much about everyday and week! And you can also see how your Taurus planets - which had all smooth aspects when the Moon was there - are having an easier time of it than your Gemini planets right now, where things are more up and down. This also indicates that until the Moon goes Void on Friday night at 8:32PM EST and then slips into family/home centered Cancer at 10:44PM EST Friday night - things could be very up and down (emotionally) for us, too.

The Sun will conjunct the South Node at 26 degrees Capricorn - this is one of the reasons our leaders and governments (all Capricorn ruled systems) are breaking down! And the reasons the structures in our lives - something we counted on - is shifting now. The Sun is also under all kinds of other stress, too. Now, that Cappy South Node also rules limits and boundaries, walls and rules. When the structure goes (didn't you want to topple the patriarchy?!), so do the roots of the structure. These things, in the world, and in our own lives, these ties to the past are illuminated now. Not everything is being tossed on the trash-bin, but it might feel like it is. Our bodies are well-trained to crave what is familiar so these transits don't always feel so good. We are seeing/experiencing what needs to go and depending on what it is we feel we are losing (it's obviously easier to lose your favorite tattered chair than a job you hate but that has stabilized your income or God forbid an actual person) and our own native tendencies toward collection and maintaining things the way they have always been and greed (yes, there is greed here tangled up in our Cappy roots) - this will be as painful and complicated as it needs to be.

And we are still in the energy of that karmic South Node Solar Eclipse from January 5th and headed toward an even bigger one - which may have already played out for you, but still likely has some twists and turns ahead with its Uranus square!

Hang in there the Sun is set to move into humanitarian-fueled Aquarius in just a couple days, and keep in mind, this entire time period is a pre-cursor to the BIG energies of 2020, after which BIG (and more lasting) shifts into the Aquarian energies are coming!

On FRIDAY the energies are all over the place. Mercury meets Pluto so some information is dug up. There are power plays. Secrets. Conversations/communications/words are powerful and matter. Life and death conversations. Wills. Money talks. You can imagine how all of this is going to play out in the collective news!

And we have Venus (our feminine energy wanting, wanting, wanting in the sky is the limit Sagittarius) finally making nice with our pushy and aggressive Mars in Aries (masculine energy). Maybe this is where Nancy - with her eyes on a sky without walls - and Donald with his Mars/Ascendant always needing someone to "fight" can come to some kind of agreement - let's hope before the Eclipse! Of course the Sun will be squaring Neptune so some things will be happening behind the curtains folks.

All of which sounds good for relationships seeking a deeper level of intimacy.

I will still do some dailies this week, but wanted to get something a little more "big picture" up.

And keep in mind we are building toward a big LUNAR ECLIPSE - the FINAL Leo/Aquarius eclipse and remember this cycle started with the Great American Eclipse back in August 2017 (!) that hit Trump's chart BIGLY (!), so we are headed back there.

What was going on in your life in August 2017?

HERE and HERE are the posts on that if you want a reminder.

An exalted Moon and the Sun squares Pallas | wonderful lunar aspects today and we try a new tactic with that authority/responsibility/limit thingie

Bonnie and Clyde 6 by Natalia Ciobanu

The Moon is in Taurus today and she makes multiple good aspects. In Taurus she turns our attention to what we need to feel comforted. Our income, resources, our values and self-esteem, the important things money can buy and the important things it can't, are highlighted. It's a good time to take the time. In Taurus, she will trine Saturn, sextile Neptune, trine Mercury and Pluto then finally our Capricorn Sun. All good aspects today.

She will be in Taurus only until tomorrow afternoon (1:34PM EST) when she goes void (until 8PM EST) off that lovely trine to the Sun. After the Void she moves into busy and communicative Gemini, so if you need some space to catch your breath before then - do that now. There are some great aspects today that greatly increase our chances for success you won't want to miss though.

Keep in mind she is waxing (growing) toward Monday's Full Moon Lunar Eclipse which is going to square Uranus, so outcomes with whatever we have going on/growing now will tend toward the "unpredictable".

Liberation would be an appropriate goal when we see Uranus coming!

The challenge today is a square between our Sun, nearing the end of Capricorn, and Pallas (Athena) in Libra at 25 degrees. Squares are stress/tension. This feels somewhat similar to yesterday's Aries/Capricorn battle since Pallas is our warrior Goddess energy. In Libra though, and being the extremely clever feminine energy she is, she (as we) will likely try a different tactic.

Maybe something along the diplomatic lines of "more flies with honey". That stubborn Cappy Sun (the rules, the limit, authority, the line in the sand) still feels rather unmoved toward compromise and Pallas, smart as she is, isn't quite the beguiler as, say Venus.

Still we strategize. We seek toward collaboration.

The win-win Pallas seeks in Libra probably isn't going to work out today though and keeping the peace at any cost is surely a lose-lose.

We can do better. Maybe just not right now.

(although the Moon's trine to Saturn in the early afternoon is helpful and could prove me wrong - the Moon IS answering to Venus after all and the Sun to Saturn!)

Take the time to enjoy that Taurus Moon - she is exalted and fleeting. Get out in nature. Take a hot bath. Get/give a massage. Eat a warm meal with foods grown from the ground.

Mercury sextile Neptune, 1st Quarter Square Moon - courage vs clout, the rules, the way we've only done it, going for what you want and are passionate about, visionary language, ideas are in the air and can be picked like apples, thoughts become things, the eclipse spin cycle

pillow-fight-by-sliwka

I was sick again yesterday (damn you unending sinus thingie), so we'll have to muddle through the week without the weeklies.

Some aspects are:

SUNDAY - Jupiter square Neptune, Mercury conjunct Saturn
MONDAY - Mercury sextile Neptune
THURSDAY - Sun conjunct South Node and opposing North Node
FRIDAY - Mercury conjunct Pluto, Venus trines Mars, Sun squares Uranus
SUNDAY - Sun into Aquarius, Venus squares Neptune

We are in between eclipses now. The Lunar Eclipse on January 21st is one of the biggest of the year and finishes up the Leo/Aquarius cycle. This is a Super Full Moon with the Moon closest to the Earth. The Sun will be sitting with the South Node, Pluto and Mercury and squaring Uranus (this eclipse is  another major "cheese stands alone" moment for Trump ie Uranus - who shut down the government on December 21st, exactly one month earlier. Eclipse events often happen almost exactly one month to the day before or after the actual event). Mars will be squaring Saturn. Things are volatile.

On MONDAY the Moon is void until 1:31PM EST this afternoon when she moves into Taurus - the sign of her exaltation.

Today's Mercury sextile Neptune is subtle. This is good energy for storytelling - for using our imagination. Good for visionary ideas and language. We might wake remembering our dreams. Ideas are AVAILABLE for the right person - the person who can make them REAL - to pick them like apples in an autumn orchard. This is good for learning (Mercury) through osmosis (Neptune), so would be a good time to hang out with the smartest person you know. Compassionate (Neptune) language (Mercury) is helpful (sextile). Siblings may be illusive or confusing. But Mercury in Capricorn is giving a Neptunian dream a structure to work with. Again this whole thing is subtle, but available. Talk to other people. The opportunity comes as one thought/conversation/idea drifts into another. People with planets/points near 14 degrees Capricorn or Pisces will feel its influence most.

While we slept the Aries Moon squared the Capricorn Sun at 23 degrees - the First Quarter Square; our monthly call to action. We'll likely feel its influence greatest until the Moon moves into Taurus at 1:31PM EST.

(or we could be feeling the Void Moon's call to rest!)

This is the young man with his fresh approach stonewalled with "this is the way we've always done it" or these are the rules. Young vs. old. Inexperienced vs tried and true. Courage vs clout. Anger/passion vs self-control. The young masculine energy fights with his father. The thing standing in our way is the thing that has always been standing in our way. Squares are tension/stress and so they make us uncomfortable. It is this very discomfort though that pushes us through.

We are past Mercury's meeting with Saturn - some things have already been decided.

Although Mercury is meeting Pluto at the end of the week, so who knows, time to push for what we want/are passionate about I think!

Aries/Capricorn is actually a love fest that only looks like a boxing tournament. After the fight is over - Aries bloodied and battered and Capricorn with tie askew and pockets picked clean - they always hit the pub for a beer.

And I guess that's where the Mercury/Neptune can come in .....

The Moon's move into comfy/cozy Taurus this afternoon should feel good!

the Sun conjunct Pluto | will-power, the truth comes to light, the ability to influence our outcomes, let go and let God, the urge to purge, the urge to merge

parallels by Natalia Ciobanu

The Moon is void today from 9:25AM EST until midnight. This is not the day to start anything brand new or push anything into the world we need "something to come of".

The Moon magic from yesterday continues as she goes void off a sextile (opportunity) to the Sun, followed by a sextile to powerful Pluto.

The Sun meets Pluto at 20 degrees Capricorn. This has been happening annually in January since Pluto moved into Capricorn in 2008. Pluto starts a new cycle.

So, we have the Moon in Pisces - answering to a powerful Neptune, home in Pisces - sextiling Pluto and the Sun conjuncting Pluto. This is powerful energy. Self expression. Personal authority. Will-power. This transit can increase our ability to influence our outcomes. It can also feel heavy. We can come on too strong and rock the boat. On the other hand, someone is going to come on strong - it's OK to be that someone sometimes! Just be standing in your own truth, so you are still standing when the boat quakes. And if you are not still standing, know this is exactly the energy that allows us to get up again.

The Sun/Pluto shines a light on what is buried including complex relationship issues.

The truth comes to light. Our will (the Sun) unites with deep power (Pluto) or, if we are projecting this instead of owning it,  we meet this power outside ourselves in the form of a potential slap-down/manipulation. The lunar sextile lets us know there is opportunity from the actions we take with whatever comes to light now. It's not the time to hide from what is happening.

If something upsetting is going on - keep in mind, Pluto rules death and rebirth - and as the Sun moves off Pluto -

WE START A BRAND NEW CYCLE.

That sextile to the Moon in Pisces is saying - let go and let God. Make art. Listen to good music. Meditate. Pray. Start a spiritual practice. Rest. Heal.

This is excellent energy for purging, for eliminating the dead wood. Clear out your inbox. De-clutter. Eliminate manipulations/obsessions/compulsions. Just stop. Turn your attention to what you want and not what you don't want. Great energy for deep research. There is great energetic support right now for a clean up and fresh start.

I double dog dare you (yes, here is a manipulation to get things started!) to watch an episode or two of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and not be inspired to get rid of something.

Note the stuff that is happening in your own life and in the collective is a precursor to the huge 2020 energies (and the government in the U.S. is shut down and 800,000 people are out of work). There is a little bit of wiggle room here ... for now. What needs to be wiggled?
