weekly astrology forecast | November 18th to November 24th, 2024 - healing words, time to unclench tired fists and jaws, following our heart and our passion, 2025 a year loaded with fits and starts in some ways begins this week

Let's unpack the week.

MONDAY - Mercury opposes Jupiter, Sun trines Neptune

TUESDAY - Mercury trines Chiron, PLUTO ENTER AQUARIUS

THURSDAY - Sun sextiles Pluto, Sun enters Sagittarius

FRIDAY - Venus sextiles Saturn, Third Quarter Moon (Virgo)

SATURDAY - Mars trines North Node

Look what the Sun is doing this week - trining Neptune and sextiling Pluto. You might remember the Full Moon was sextiling Neptune and trining Pluto. This is about smooth flow with power, merged money, intimacy when we take action - when we are practical, grown-up, patient. This is about creative opportunities when we intensely focus, when we look under the covers/the hood to move our dream forward. We can create improved mental health, relaxation, forgiveness.

Our Scorpio house and our ego benefits from Neptune - going with the flow, getting into water, doing imaginative work, letting knots untangle and hands unclench. It BENEFITS FROM A BREAK AND REST and can even make us sick if we don't take one.

Mercury trines Chiron this week for healing words and conversations. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable.

Don't be afraid to talk about what hurts.

Venus sextiles a direct Saturn and we get a nice Cappy/Pisces sextile. My favorite - MAKING THE DREAM REAL combination. Keep in mind we are in the waning part of the Moon's cycle, so this could be more about what we are eliminating than what we are starting/adding. Saturn is going to sit at 12 degrees Pisces for pretty much the rest of the year, but his station direct last Friday sets him on course to enter Aries next year. This is a big deal. The NEW/the start is coming. Saturn, not a fire guy, but waterlogged after more than two years in Pisces, can almost taste it which means we can, too.

The week closes out with Mars in fiery Leo in a smooth trine with the North Node of Fate in Aries. For now, the future is loud, proud and masculine. Following your heart, being brave and attending to appropriate needs for appreciation/attention pulls us into a more self-sustaining, independent, courageous future.

The North Node will not be in Aries for much longer folks. And, once these fire trines with fate are gone, they will not be back for many years. Yes, Mars is set to go retrograde, so there will be re-looks and re-visions with whatever we have going on now. Who cares?! Follow your heart and your passion anyway. Give the re-looks and re-visions something to work with!

MONDAY - The Moon comes home to Cancer. For the next couple days, we are nurtured and nourished by home, family, mom, country and apple pie. We could feel more emotional/maybe more needy. It will feel good to be HOME.

The Moon's only aspect today is an opposition to a sober Venus in Capricorn. This could bring our attention to an emotional 'home vs work' situation or maybe this is about an emotional/moody or vulnerable person vs a colder, analytical person. Whatever the situation we will all want to feel SAFE and secure. Keep this in mind with whoever you are dealing with.

This is also the day the Sun in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces and Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Jupiter, retrograde in Gemini. Mercury and Jupiter are in each other's signs, so can get back to their home space through each other. This is helpful. This is about facts vs beliefs. Expanding our thinking/plans and looking at the details. Jupiter oppositions are not trouble unless we take something too far/make something TOO BIG. If we can keep our feet on the ground or at least a few toes in the dirt this opposition can help us.

At the same time the Sun is closing out his annual trip through the dark waters of Scorpio. Have we looked under the covers, under the hood, at the balance in our checkbook? Yes, we have. The Sun moves into a smooth trine with Neptune in Pisces and says LET THIS SH*T GO. The Sun in fixed water Scorpio can get STUCK - even on dead issues. Trines with Pisces are good for dissolving sticky residues - via a lessening focus, compassion, creativity, universal love, forgiving, forgetting. letting go. TAKING A REST. Trines to Neptune can be slippery slopes for our escape mechanisms, addictions and boundary issues. One drink can lead to three, one meme to two hours on your phone, hidden things spread - keep this in mind. Take your Vitamin C. Wash your hands.

TUESDAY - the Cancer Moon trines Saturn and sextiles Uranus. Good for dealing with authority and stepping into our own. Good for doing something new/else. This is also the day Mercury trines Chiron - WORDS ARE HEALING. And Pluto moves into Aquarius, yes again, and yes, for a couple decades this time. No return trips back into Cappy for us in this lifetime. THE PREVIEW IS OVER.

And since how something starts is how something goes - having a nurturing and STRONG Cancer Moon trining Saturn (stability) and sextiling Uranus (change) - the ruling planets of Aquarius as Pluto enters Aquarius is surely a good sign.

Pluto's move into Aquarius is the FIRST of all the planetary changes that are coming over the next few months SO THE FUTURE STARTS NOW! The first chess piece takes the board. Just keep in mind, before any of the other big changes we have two inner/personal planets - Mercury and then Mars - going retrograde.

It is definitely not full steam ahead.

WEDNESDAY - the Moon finishes up in Cancer with a nice water trine to the Scorpio Sun. There is something here about safely immersing ourselves in something deep/intimate. The shadow stuff is not so uncomfortable this time through. This is happening in the morning EST and then the Moon goes void for a couple hours before heading into Leo where she will immediately oppose Pluto - so much for comfort with the shadows! and meets up with Mars. This might bring a power struggle. We will want to be noticed/feel appreciated. Mars is trining the North Node, exact in a couple days, but strongly in play right now - follow your heart, your passions, your inner child/actual children, your romantic impulses, your creativity.

THURSDAY - the Sun makes his closing aspect in Scorpio through an opportunistic sextile to Scorpio's ancient ruler Pluto and then flies into the greener grasses/bluer skies of Sagittarius. The Scorpio Sun sextiles Pluto in Aquarius. This is quiet authority, power that is not resisted. With Scorpio/Pluto maybe something is READY TO DIE and we just have to let go. The transformation doesn't have to hurt - we can move right into this. The Sun's follow-up move into Sag tells us whatever we are releasing here IS FREEING US UP. The Moon in Leo is sextiling Jupiter, retrograde in Gemini. Confidence. Charisma. Optimism. Sextiles require effort, but nothing too extreme. DO SOMETHING WITH THIS DAY!

FRIDAY - The Moon is in Virgo now and makes her third quarter square to the Sun in Sagittarius. The Virgo Moon wants us to get organized and get to work and cross our t's and dot our i's and the Sag Sun says - ok, but look at THESE BLUE SKIES AND THIS GREEN GRASS OVER HERE! So, this is some tension/frustration - need to take action - between the DETAILS/facts and the enthusiastic ideal. The details are kind of popping our bubbles, but this needs to come up and be dealt with. This is also the day Venus in Cappy sextiles Saturn and Venus is answering to Saturn, so this is especially helpful and probably the way through the third quarter Moon. This adds structure and focus to what we want/to our dreams. There could be some kind of sacrifice needed with Neptune and the sextile will make this easier to deal with. Take care of the details. Make it better. Then let go of what you can't control knowing you have done your best.

xo all

Let's start looking at 2025 next. I just noticed that the energy of July 4, 2026 that I have written briefly about here and there (especially in connection to Vance) is happening right on the 250th anniversary of the United States! WTH. But let's not get that far ahead of ourselves. Let's look at 2025 first :)
