echo of small things by karezoid |
"It all matters. That someone turns out the lamp, picks up the windblown wrapper, says hello to the invalid, pays at the unattended lot, listens to the repeated tale, folds the abandoned laundry, plays the game fairly, tells the story honestly, acknowledges help, gives credit, says good night, resists temptation, wipes the counter, waits at the yellow, makes the bed, tips the maid, remembers the illness, congratulates the victor, accepts the consequences, takes a stand, steps up, offers a hand, goes first, goes last, chooses the small portion, teaches the child, tends to the dying, comforts the grieving, removes the splinter, wipes the tear, directs the lost, touches the lonely, is the whole thing. What is most beautiful is least acknowledged. What is worth dying for is barely noticed."
.... Laurie McBride | We Are Called To Rise
The BIG idea can provide the enthusiasm that gets us thinking/moving/dreaming and the small things (and steps) will move us forward. (back up your computer this weekend always a good idea before or after Mercury changes signs). xo all

Do good, be kind... it's so true, often goes unnoticed. But I think in the end, we get remembered for being that kind of person. Maybe it's not for personal gain, but I think it's for peace from within though. Makes us feel good to care for others. ♥ Waiting for that salesy stuff to start flowing... though I did jot some blog post ideas down last night.
Supposed to be calm and sunny here for a few days, hooray!
Have a nice weekend Cat!

"Our Sag house wakes up now and with Saturn here we will be made to walk our talk. The stuff Saturn has been sitting on since September gets some movement."
This is so on point, Cat! Thank you for your insightful analysis. I know I've felt this energy in a very real way since September.
I came out of my Saturn return in 2nd house Scorpio not only with confidence in my self worth (and Saturn certainly made me face a lot of my personal demons to get there) but also with a clear sense of my purpose on this planet. I know without a doubt that I'm meant to serve others and do so with love (12th house Virgo Sun & Mercury).
The word that's been on my mind since Saturn's official ingress into Sagittarius is 'Revival'. And, by that, I mean the restoration of strength and vitality.
I have my Moon, Mars, Uranus, and Neptune in Sadg natally. This Saturn in Sadg energy has me wanting to bring my sense of purpose out into the world and live it in a practical, fulfilling way.
While I'm not ready to quit my day job, I have decided to volunteer at a hospice center. I know it won't be comfortable or easy, but that's not really the point :)
Like your eloquently written post says, its the small steps that matter.
I don't think you could be any more point on with this. Saturn return in Scorpio/2nd house - yes, that would be life changing. The highest space Scorpio carries is the Phoenix rising - revival. So, you handled that very, very well. "Bring my sense of purpose out into the world and live it in a practical, fulfilling way". YES. Saturn will really ground all that Sag energy over the next two years - making the things you are building practical and strong. Jupiter in Virgo this year for a Virgo Sun is expansion through taking care of the details and yes, service to others. Hospice volunteering (total Neptune in Pisces) sounds like the perfect space for you now. Just watch your boundaries with that 12th house Sun ... it seems like 12th house suns have to let go of some dying circumstances and then the dust settles and they begin again. House of wisdom. And Virgo literally is the hunger for personal transformation - Virgo must grow. Such an eloquent comment- thank you for sharing it! xo
well, you have that old soul thing going on Janell "makes us feel good to care for others" - if only everyone could get that, we could really move this ship in a new direction! xo and you have a nice weekend, too!
Whoa. Two good posts right above me, Cat. Yours and hcrenwick's. Those two posts really brought some things to light for me and the best line is this - " I know it won't be comfortable or easy, but that's not really the point :) "
I think I get it now, that I should be of service to others somehow and that big 'somehow' is where I'm unsure. At least I'm open and I believe I'm ready if my sloth like laziness doesn't make me just hole up this winter. Finding that right fit is the challenge.
I know isn't that good " ... not really the point" - I keep forgetting we're not here for easy and comfortable, such a tricky planet - ha! Don't make the somehow "big" in your head, Virgo isn't big. Leo's big and Virgo is AFTER Leo. We've had BIG, now we need real, which is small things like that quote by McBride. I'm listening to Harry Potter on Audible this week, our lives are no less magical ... and challenging - if we're awake. Which you are. The only reason we are here is God/Life/The Universe (pick your comfort zone) knew the universe would benefit and expand by us being here. We find the flock (Libra north node - we've either done it by now, already had it or they are part of step 2) then Virgo North node (now) we find what we are called to do that serves others - this part literally just started - then step 3 is Leo (starts 2017) - the north node aspects run backwards - we go BIG with it or bring light to it, something like that - then we'll move into Cancer and nurturing ourselves somehow, but now we're in Virgo one step at a time - we can't think too far ahead because the thinking will change what happens xo
