On June 3, 2023 at 11:43PM EDT, the Sagittarius Moon opposes the Gemini Sun at 13 degrees giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in Sagittarius.
Sagittarius is a fun-loving sign that rules travel, freedom, adventure, legal stuff, higher education, good luck, faith, religion, prayer, optimism, problem solving, truth seekers, boldly going where no man has gone before, the quest -
it also rules carelessness, taking shortcuts, thinking we are right, making assumptions, throwing pink paint on problems and hoping they will go away, overconfidence, impatience and superficial fluff.
Sagittarius is a mutable sign. The mutable signs prepare us for the change into the next season. We put on the sweater. We put away the sweater. We adjust.
Mutable signs are service signs and Sagittarius is in service through the exploration of Truth - this could be legal truth or political truth but its most especially spiritual truth - its highest purpose is enlightenment and expanding what is known. The lower level energies rule religious wars, legal battles and political bullshit.
Full Moons brings things to light, to a conclusion or point of fullness.
Let's unpack the chart!
The Moon, at 13 degrees Sagittarius, opposes the Sun in Gemini. She trines Pallas in Leo (EXACT) and conjuncts the Great Attractor (14 Sagittarius). She makes applying trines to Black Moon Lilith in Leo and Chiron in Aries - so we get a Grand Fire Trine if we push the aspects a bit. The Moon trines Mars and squares Saturn - both wide and separating. She opposes Juno. Jupiter, the ruler of the Full Moon as ruler of Sagittarius is conjunct the North Node of Fate.
The Moon's trine to Pallas and Black Moon Lilith in Leo speaks of smooth flow with our creative/romantic impulses or ability to LEAD, even those impulses/abilities that were squashed based on childhood woundings of shame around us wanting/needing things - like attention - that we were perfectly entitled to be needing/wanting. Where have we suppressed (made invisible) the ways we need to SHINE? Here, the trine is helpful, we gain access to CREATIVE STRATEGIES, courage, old anger, our heart-filled desires. Our brain and heart can work together - this can pull in the energy of us 'wanting to make a mark'.
The Moon's trine to Chiron speaks of Full Moon events being HEALING. Whatever is concluding/culminating now - wherever the Jupiter/NN is carrying us - there is the energy here to to heal very old/very deep woundings, likely around our ability to be ourselves or take care of ourselves. With Juno sextiling Chiron as she opposes the Full Moon, our partnerships/contracts, the spaces in our lives where we bend over backward to keep the favor of the king/the power could bring some conflict, AND, that conflict will create opportunity for greater healing. Keep in mind, the Moon in Sagittarius is wise, confident, has faith - this is the energy we are moving forward with. The trine to Chiron in Aries speaks of us having the courage to not freak out when things are empty/uncertain. To know (Sagittarius) it is from this empty space that all the new goodies are created. Things happen in their own time.
The Moon's trine to Mars and square to Saturn are BEHIND US. It's been the reality check and our subsequent need to take action that has brought us to this Full Moon.
Jupiter, rules the Full Moon, from his freshly minted perch in Taurus. Jupiter is tightly conjunct the North Node of Fate which tells us with CERTAINTY there is something good in the future. A more simple way to feel/be abundant. A more practical course. Growth. Stability.
The Moon is also tightly conjunct the Great Attractor. The Great Attractor is a supercluster that includes our Milky Way Galaxy, and, oh, about 100,000 other galaxies. It has totally unimaginable gravitational forces. It takes our past, shuffles things around a bit and makes it appear to be our future. It bends time. It bends light. Up is down and down is up. We can't tell if our ideas are genius or madness. It is hard to know what is real.
My advice for Great Attractor as well as North Node activations and we have both going on at once now - is something like, FOCUS, on what is really calling to you now and deal with the problems later. Have faith that whatever this is has motivated you FOR A REASON. Don't overthink it. The Great Attractor kind of shoots out a bunch of frequencies/timelines at us. Once we PICK something, via our ATTENTION AND INTENTION/hold it in-tension (like the archer), we are hooked into this new frequency. This doesn't mean everything is going to work out perfectly, but it does mean things are GOING TO GET INTERESTING. When this NEW energy is unleashed it has to move toward what is MOST ALIVE. We have to release our idea of how things SHOULD BE, to ready ourselves, and move toward, what is coming. Note this isn't something we are going to sit around waiting for, there will be need for us to take action.
Mercury finally catches up with Uranus this weekend, too.
Genius ideas will find their way to the people who are most likely to put them to good use ... stay open. Expect the unexpected. Trust the endings now are designed to free us up for something BIGGER AND BETTER. The best goodies are always found in Sagittarius - have faith.
