Sorry to have been awol with the weekly!
After last week's covid (again), computer crash and unbreathable air, I couldn't drag myself over here and decided to give myself permission - since it was the last week of school here after all - to cut class.
The week's astrology really kicks off today (hopefully you enjoyed Tuesday's Venus square Jupiter) anyway, so I thought I better knuckle down NOW.
And we've got Mercury squaring Saturn for some extra knuckles.
The Moon is in Taurus today - the sign of her exaltation. We are nourished/nurtured by more traditionally nurturing things - a warm bed, a soft touch, good food, security, time spent in nature, time spent with what/who we value/love, all the good stuff money can buy and all the good stuff it can't. The shadow of the Taurus Moon is what happens when we don't get what we want/don't have what we feel we need to be safe.
She meets Uranus at 4:54AM EST (will likely wake some of us up early), sextiles Neptune at 5:18PM EST for a dreamy/drifting, creative, healing, spiritual afternoon and early evening evening (good for art, music, prayer, seeing a movie, being near water, chatting up the ancestors) and then goes void at 9:36PM EST off a smooth trine to powerful Pluto. Luna is only void about 10 minutes when she heads into busy, communicative Gemini and starts getting ready for this weekend's New Moon (next post).
This is also the day Mercury, at 7 degrees Gemini, squares Saturn - about to station retrograde - in Pisces.
With Mercury/Saturn we might hear/say a "no". Our thinking/conversations/activities could be somehow limited or restricted. Deadlines loom. We are forced to focus/check in with reality or the reality police are knocking at our door. Squares force change/action through tension and frustration. We have to decide/commit/take something SERIOUSLY.
Mercury in Gemini wants to keep things light and easy and SURFACE, but Saturn forces our big-girl/boy pants ON. We have to work before we can play. There is PRESSURE. For some, this aspect can be depressing.
This will be pulled into tomorrow as the Moon in Gemini will be making this same square. The Moon will then meet up with Mercury - communication, ideas, siblings, local community stuff, tech/transportation stuff - and then make an opportunistic sextile to Venus in Leo, following up on Saturday with a sextile to Mars. This is all before the Moon meets up with the Sun on Sunday for this month's New Moon.
So, this square to Saturn - limit/reality check - is NEEDED. Can't be avoided/skipped.
Gets us to the New Moon's fresh start.
Saturn is going to station retrograde here in just a couple days, so we will be going back over, over the next few months, what we are dealing with now - our commitments, responsibilities, realities, limits, endings, things we have been ignoring, etc.
Mercury, over the next few days, will be repeating what the Gemini Moon will do tomorrow and Saturday, so will sextile Venus and Mars in Leo, too. BRINGING UP OPPORTUNITIES - the sextiles - after the tense/frustrating square. So, after we hear/say "no", face the limit/responsibility, ending, commit or quit, deal with the REALITY CHECK, pay-to-play, there are fresh opportunities, through what we do with the tension/frustration, and this is Saturn, so will always involve being responsible and GROWING UP.

The opportunities are going to come through the planets in Leo, so what house does Leo rule in your natal chart and what is the theme of that house? What house is 10 degrees Leo and 16 degrees Leo? This is where Venus and Mars will be when Mercury sextiles them from Gemini bringing information, ideas, communication, etc.
The opportunity coming through Leo will mean following our heart, using our talent/our Sun, being proud/confident/brave. The Leo planets, including smart Pallas, are also trining Chiron in Aries, so there is healing here, too, as we face up to a fear/vulnerability.
I think when we unpack the New Moon in the next post this will all become clearer and easier to integrate.
Even with the pressure of the Mercury/Saturn square - which we might feel more tomorrow - the Moon looks very nice today and will help. There will be opportunities to feel good, too. Take them.
