Part I is HERE.
OK, so I know everyone reading this is smart. No one needs me to make a list like this, but since I am thinking this through for me, I might as well post it :)
Keep in mind that none of this is to avoid action because the best thing we can do is NOT AVOID IT. If we think to ourselves, I need to go to the store and get XYZ or I need to call Sue - the best thing to do is to get up and go do that/not add to our headspace with something to do later. Everything is going to be in the immediate sign of Aries and we will need to work with this stuff.
To back up a moment - we are going to have an unprecedented number of planets in Aries this month. Never in our lifetime have we had this kind of line-up. And Aries is where everything begins, and it doesn’t begin gently.
It’s the first spark, the first breath, the moment something decides to exist and Aries moves BEFORE it has a full plan.
There’s instinct here. Urgency. A kind of raw, unfiltered life force that doesn’t wait for permission or perfect conditions. It’s cardinal fire - initiating, directional, forward-moving and fast. Aries is not here to maintain or refine something. It's here to START. To break inertia. To push past hesitation. To act in the space where certainty hasn’t fully formed yet. This is why we have been talking about how we are going to have to start before we are ready to start.
At its best, Aries is courage. Our willingness to move without guarantees. Our ability to trust our body’s knowing before the mind catches up (Mercury is going to join the Aries party, so actually our mind is going to catch up!). Aries rules the first house and in our natal charts our first house is the first couple years of our lives because this is some of the bravest we are ever going to have to be. Everything we do is something new and everything is something we can't yet do and we still have to do it.
But as we age that same energy, when ungrounded, becomes reactivity. Acting just to discharge pressure rather than moving with intention. Aries has no patience. It doesn’t naturally look back. It learns through action and sometimes, especially now with Saturn in Aries, too - through the consequences of that action.
This is why anchoring ourselves matters so much now.
Because Aries energy will move either way - right direction/wrong direction it doesn't matter so much to Mars as long as it is a NEW DIRECTION. But it matters to us, so let's think about how to deal with this.
We don’t need anything elaborate right now. Aries is the FIRST SIGN. This kind of energy responds best to simple, repeatable anchors and actions. What helps most is anything that brings us out of speed and back into OUR body, OUR choices and OUR direction. I will begin. I will choose. I will move.
Name our direction (daily and not vaguely) - this isn't about a full plan, but we need to get clear on "this is what matters today". When everything is speeding up, our brain grabs at everything equally. Knowing our values/priorities/what matters most (Venus in Taurus!) cuts through that crap. We want to be asking ourselves - what actually moves my life forward today? NOT - what feels urgent?
Move our body enough to discharge the pressure - this isn’t about exercise/fitness - it’s about regulation. Walking, stretching, lifting, dancing even cleaning counts. Fast energy builds in our body. If it doesn’t move out, it turns into anxiety or anger or impulsive decisions. If you are prone to headaches (Aries rules the head) do the things you do to prevent them. Think - circulate, don’t accumulate. Clutter will not be our friend. Move stuff around in your house to CLEAR A PATH.
Create the space to make small pauses before decisions - especially the fast, emotional ones. Take a breath. Take a walk to the other room. Say "let me come back to that" or "let me get back to you". If it's real it will still be real later, if we are about to make a panic move it won't be.
Limit how much we're taking in - this is so HUGE. More information/input does not always equal more clarity. We don’t need more perspectives - we just need the space to hear our own. Be intentional about what you consume and when. Get offline often. Get outdoors. Eat well. Hydrate. Sleep.
Do one thing slowly on purpose - make a meal, fold laundry, take a shower without rushing it. This sounds small, but it retrains our system to not equate speed with safety. When we slow our roll it reminds our body - YOU ARE NOT BEING CHASED.
(Unless you actually are being chased, then run. Fast.)
Check our body before we call something "intuition"/limit sugar intake because it fogs everything up - this might be the most important thing. Is this grounded and clear or tight/urgent/loud? Intuition is steady and sticky. Fear is fast and fleeting.
End the day by closing loops and tying off loose ends (especially mentally) - what mattered today, what didn’t, what’s still open. Otherwise, our system carries unfinished energy into sleep and we wake up already behind. The momentum is going to be there either way, and we want to keep it clean instead of chaotic.
There are a dozen more things and all of us will be having different experiences of this and I want to keep this general. Just know it's happening. Just know the guy next to you has no idea what is going on and is probably stressed/pissed and maybe ready to blow. Once Mars enters Aries in a couple days it will be game on. There are opportunities here and we will all have access to more courage and ENERGY.
Collectively speaking I believe degrees and dates carry energy and two years ago - exact to the date of this year's Mars/Saturn meeting on April 19th - Jupiter met Uranus.
I wrote about that HERE.
April 19th and the surrounding days are historically HOT - the start of the American Revolution (shot heard round the world), the Warsaw ghetto uprising, the Columbine shootings, the Oklahoma City Bombing and the Waco siege. the first studied use of LSD, 420 has some obscure connection to marijuana, the date of Mandela's famous "I am prepared to die" speech during his trial and Hitler's birthday...
And this year, that date is activated again. April 19th. Mars meets Saturn. Action meets consequence. Force meets resistance. Momentum meets reality.
This is not about inevitability. But astrology is the study of patterns (and archetypes). Moments where conviction intensifies and beliefs harden into action. Days when pressure seeks release - one way or another. This combination doesn’t create events on its own, but it describes a field where what has been building (Mars) demands form (Saturn).
So, the point here is not to fear the date. It’s to respect it. To understand that this is a moment where energy concentrates and where how we hold that energy matters. Because Mars will act and Saturn will define the outcome. And whatever is set in motion here both collectively and personally tends to carry weight beyond the moment itself - keep this in mind and take this month seriously. Big girl/boy pants on.
xo all
