On Friday, May 1st, 2026, at 1:23PM EDT the Scorpio Moon opposes the Taurus Sun giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in deep dark Scorpio.
Full Moons bring things to light, to a peak or a culmination. Scorpio is a house of MYSTERY - collectively this is the 8th house, but our natal charts will tell a more personal story.
Where is Scorpio in our natal chart and WHAT ARE WE HIDING THERE :)
(note the same applies to our natal Pluto house and with Pluto in "the wake up call" sign of Aquarius with Uranius in Gemini we will be given opportunities to work with this/think about this differently - we talked about our Plutonian generational survival spell HERE and then our natal house gives it a more personal flavor)
Unlike the 12th house whose contents we really can't see from our perch in the 1st (the stuff that is literally behind us on the zodiacal wheel) our 8th house is the stuff we DON'T WANT TO SEE. Whatever house Scorpio rules in a natal chart is the room where things get filed away rather than dealt with, usually out of some combination of shame, intensity and the Scorpionic tendency to feel like if we just keep that lid on tightly enough, the contents will be controllable.
Taurus (the Sun now) is the sign of what we hold, accumulate and REFUSE TO RELEASE. Are all my capital letters making you nuts? Am I screaming? I can't seem to stop myself :)
The opposition itself is almost poetic - what we've been holding (Taurus) is now fully illuminated in the place we don't want to look (Scorpio)!
Venus rules the Sun and Pluto rules the Moon. We talked about the weekly HERE - this lead up tells the Full Moon story better than I ever could by looking at the aspects. Just remember the Full Moon is SYMBOLIC, so yes, some things may have happened this week, but there is actually a much longer arc to this story. It's been playing out since the New Moon last fall and also, if this is touching your chart, much longer than that.
We started the week with the ruler of the Sun (Venus) and the ruler of the Moon (Pluto) making a nice smooth/brakes-off trine (the Moon was in Virgo).
Venus trine Pluto is the seductive game opener. Trines feel easy. They are smooth current. Venus and Pluto in trine can feel like power and desire moving in harmony, like we're finally getting what we want or at least feeling the pull of it cleanly or clearly. But Pluto is always extracting something even when he's being gracious. He is still the grim reaper after all - THERE IS ALWAYS A PRICE TO BE PAID. This trine may have surfaced what that Scorpio house contained - brought it closer to consciousness - under the guise of feeling good or manageable.
Venus/Nodal Square (South Node Virgo/North Node
Pisces) - then the tension arrives. The South Node in Virgo is the over-used karmic
groove of perfectionism, overwork, hyper-analysis, the sense that if we just fix enough details, we can avoid the loss/the surrender. It's the space where we just keep fixing and fixing and fixing. The North Node in
Pisces is the invitation - dissolution, trust, release, letting go, the acknowledgment that
some things are genuinely out of your hands. Venus squaring this axis means (in general - this will depend on your personal chart) relationships,
values and the things we find beautiful are caught in this tension. The
question the square poses is something like - are we perfecting our avoidance or are we willing to let go and not know the outcome? Most people, under this energy, choose the
first option without realizing they're doing it!
The we have the Venus/Saturn sextile at the Full Moon - this is where our focus moves to WHAT IS MOST VALUABLE. Saturn is a reality check/solid ground. It's the moment where what was idealized or deferred gets tested against actual structure and actual cost. "Is this real? Is this sustainable? What is this actually worth and what does it actually cost me?". These are Saturn's questions.
The answer shows up in the room whether we invited it or not. This isn't cruel Saturn, necessarily, but it is honest Saturn, and that can feel like the same thing. What are we choosing (Venus/Gemini)? What are we personally committing to (Saturn/Aries)?
Mercury/Chiron Conjunction - running alongside the Full Moon, this is the painful conversation signature. Chiron in Aries is the wound around self-assertion, the right to exist and speak and be heard. Also, maybe us wanting to do it ourselves when we can't. Mercury conjunct Chiron means the words that come out or the words/information that need to come out will touch something unhealed. This isn't necessarily a catastrophic conversation or catastrophic news, but the words tend to be the words that CAN'T BE UNSAID. Maybe with the Scorpio Full Moon there is even a kind of before-and-after quality to them. For some this will be about health news - it doesn't need to be terrible, it's just more likely to be something we have been avoiding.
Given the Scorpio Full Moon context, this likely relates directly to whatever has been stuffed in that natal Scorpio house - it finally gets said. So, what the hell is hiding in there? And keep in mind WE ARE THE ONE WHO PUT IT THERE (although the story itself may be older than we are)!
With Pluto retrograde - the death/the transformation/the merging and purging, something here is postponed. Life becomes an inside job. We are given time, BUT we are not given the option to re-stuff the room. What the Full Moon exposed now has to be processed and seen, even if the final form of that processing won't arrive until Pluto stations direct in mid-October. That's when the reckoning resurfaces externally and the Scorpio New Moon in early November - the new beginning in whatever that natal house governs, seeded from whatever was composted during this period!
The retrograde is genuinely merciful in this framing - a kind of divine intervention that offers us a kind of "interior season" of time to go inside and work with this - it's like the space between the diagnosis and the surgery, where we can prepare, grieve,
understand and make choices with more information and a clearer understanding than we had before. This doesn't mean we just put this problem away and try to forget about it again - that isn't going to work, action/process is needed. And we have Scorpio's modern ruler in his home sign - so strong. Something here though/something about this UNWINDING won't be full steam ahead or completed until fall.
Let's take a look by house. Check your Ascendent and your Sun sign. See what fits.
WHAT ROOM ARE WE STUFFING AND WHAT ARE WE HIDING?
SCORPIO | Scorpio Rising - the stuffed room is yourself dear Scorpio
What's been hidden is who you actually are versus who
you present. The Full Moon here is intensely personal, and it lands in your body,
the face you show the world or the identity you've been managing. The
Saturn/Venus happening in tandem asks - is the version of yourself you've been
presenting actually real, and what does it cost you to maintain it?
Mercury/Chiron may bring a painful moment of self-recognition or a conversation
where someone reflects back to you what you've been unable to see. This can also be about an issue with your physical body/health and your DAILY HABITS. Scorpio's ancient ruler Mars is in your house of health and work. The
avoidance here has likely been around acknowledging your own depth,
intensity, or need for transformation. Scorpio rising often works hard to
control the impression they make, and this Full Moon strips some of that
management away. Pluto retrograde then turns that confrontation with the
authentic self into an inside job for a long interior season. By October, you are being
asked to become what you glimpsed at the Full Moon rather than continue
managing it.
LIBRA | Libra Rising - the stuffed room is your bank account, money, worth and what you own
The hidden material here is financial reality and
self-worth - what things actually cost, what you actually have, and the
relationship between your values and your bank account. Saturn/Venus exact at
this Full Moon is particularly pointed for Libras as the
quintessential financial reality check. What has been avoided might be a
debt, a spending pattern, an income truth, or - at the deeper level - the
belief about whether you deserve abundance or are secretly comfortable with
scarcity. Mercury/Chiron can mean a painful conversation about money with a
partner or family member, or an internal reckoning with a wounding story about
your own value. Pluto retrograde asks you to
spend the next several months genuinely restructuring the relationship between
what you earn, what you spend, and what you believe you deserve. The November
Scorpio New Moon becomes a genuine fresh start here, but only if the
stuffed room gets properly cleared out between now and then!
VIRGO | Virgo Rising - the stuffed room is communication, siblings, and the local world
What's been hidden here is often what has never been said
- in sibling relationships, in the immediate community and in the daily
conversations that skirt the real issues. The 3rd house Scorpio placement often
develops an extraordinary capacity for intense private thought while
keeping surface communications carefully managed. The Full Moon blows that
management open. Saturn/Venus now as a reality check may mean a
relationship with a sibling or neighbor that has needed a direct, honest
conversation for some time gets one. Mercury/Chiron is especially pointed in the 3rd
house domain because this is literally Mercury's house (and you are a Virgo so ruled by Mercury), so the painful words or the
wound-touching exchange may be unavoidable and particularly significant. What
Pluto's retrograde offers is a long interior season of processing how you
think and speak, examining the stories you tell yourself, the ways you've
used silence or intensity as communication tools and beginning to dismantle
the patterns. By the November Scorpio New Moon, there's an opportunity to begin
an entirely new chapter in how you communicate what's most true.
LEO | Leo Rising - the stuffed room is the home, the family, the foundation
This is one of the more tender placements for this Full Moon. The 4th house is our roots, our family of origin, the home environment, the private interior life, the psychological foundation everything else is built on. Scorpio here means that the family system itself has contained things that weren't spoken, dealt with, or resolved, and the person with this placement has often inherited those unspoken things without a clear map for how to handle them. The Full Moon illuminates what's in the foundation and foundations matter because everything sits on top of them! Saturn/Venus now can be a reality check about home (literally housing, living situation, a parent's health or needs) or about the emotional cost of maintaining the family story as it's currently being told. Mercury/Chiron may bring a conversation with a parent or family member that touches old wounds directly. Pluto retrograde gives you the interior season to do genuine ancestral and psychological work - this might be excellent timing for journaling, good therapy, genealogical investigation, for sitting with what your family actually was rather than what you needed it to be. A good time also to work on your physical home/foundation.
CANCER | Cancer Rising - the stuffed room is creativity, pleasure, children and self-expression
Scorpio in the 5th is one of the more paradoxical placements because the house of joy, play, and creative spontaneity are ruled by the sign of depth, intensity and control. What often gets stuffed here is genuine creative desire and the vulnerability of self-expression/our inner child, our romantic or playful nature - the work that's been controlled rather than released, the creative project held back because it's too revealing, the capacity for pleasure that's been policed because it feels too exposed and vulnerable. The Full Moon asks, what have you been keeping in the creative drawer? What about your children/your creations/your romances have you not wanted to look at? Saturn/Venus now as a reality check may involve a creative project that needs honest assessment - is it actually ready, is it actually good, is the standard you're holding it to serving the work or preventing it from existing? Mercury/Chiron can bring painful feedback or a conversation about a creative risk you've been afraid to take. For those with children, this can also touch unspoken dynamics in the parent/child relationship. Pluto's retrograde offers a long season of creative interior work where you can be letting the hidden material become the actual art.
GEMINI | Gemini Rising - the stuffed room is work, health, and daily routine
The 6th house Scorpio stuffing room is often filled with work-related intensity that's never been addressed directly - power dynamics in the workplace, the health issue that's been quietly ignored, the daily routine that's become a coping mechanism rather than a genuine structure for living. Saturn/Venus now at this Full Moon can highlight a work relationship or situation that needs a reality check, so maybe a colleague dynamic, a contract or a job arrangement that has been quietly unsustainable. Mercury/Chiron in this context might point to a workplace conversation that touches on worth, recognition or the wound around being of service. The difference between genuine contribution and compulsive overwork. Given the South Node in Virgo's presence in the backdrop of this whole lunation, 6th house Scorpio carries particular karmic weight here. Virgo and the 6th are deeply linked, and the overwork/perfectionism/avoidance pattern through service is exactly what the North Node in Pisces is asking to be surrendered. Pluto retrograde in this domain offers a deep interior reckoning with the health and work patterns over the next six months, the ones that have been controlling your life rather than supporting it.
TAURUS | Taurus Rising - the stuffed room is partnership and open relationships
The 7th house is the house of the other person/other people. It holds marriage,
committed partnership, significant one-on-one relationships including open
adversaries. Scorpio here means the partnership container has held things
that weren't dealt with openly. Things like power dynamics, unspoken needs, desires or
resentments that circulate below the surface of the relationship's official/public story. This is classic Scorpio territory, and the Full Moon here can be
genuinely confrontational within a partnership. Saturn/Venus now is a stark
relationship reality check, so what is the actual architecture of this
relationship, what is it actually costing both people, is it built on
something real or on a version of events that has been mutually maintained, but at a steep price?
Mercury/Chiron almost certainly means a significant conversation with a
partner. A conversation that involves the wound of self-assertion, perhaps finally
saying what the 7th house Scorpio person has been managing instead of expressing. Pluto retrograde gives both people in the dynamic a long interior
season, but it also means the transformation of the relationship begins now and surfaces fully in October. The November Scorpio New Moon can
be a genuine beginning, either of the relationship's next chapter, or of your life
after it.
ARIES | Aries Rising - the stuffed room is shared resources, intimacy, inheritance and transformation
(note - this is also the COLLECTIVE influence)
The 8th house is Scorpio's natural house, which means this Full Moon in the natal 8th hits in the room Scorpio was made for and the stuffing that happens here tends to go very deep. The 8th house contains other people's money and shared financial entanglements, sexual and psychological intimacy, inheritance (literal and psychological), and the whole realm of death, endings and transformation. What gets hidden in 8th house Scorpio is often the truth about entanglement. What is actually owed to whom, what the real terms of the intimate exchange are, what's been inherited from family or from past relationships that hasn't been examined. Saturn/Venus now can mean a serious reckoning with shared finances, so taxes (particularly appropriate maybe, given the Pluto retrograde timing), debts, inheritances or the financial terms of a relationship that have been vague or left unaddressed. Mercury/Chiron in this domain can be extraordinarily deep and might involve a conversation about power, intimacy or psychological history that touches core wounding. Pluto's retrograde in its own territory is particularly important. The transformation that begins at the Full Moon goes underground for deep, invisible work until fall.
The 9th house is where we hold our worldview, our faith,
our meaning-making systems, and our relationship to truth at the largest scale
- religion, philosophy, law, foreign cultures, higher education. Scorpio here
means the belief system has been held with intensity, and possibly with more
rigidity or hidden investment than we acknowledge. What gets stuffed is
often the crisis of faith that hasn't been admitted, or maybe the doubts about
the worldview that's been publicly committed to, the legal or philosophical situation that hasn't been dealt with above board, the spiritual path that's
been used for control rather than genuine expansion. Saturn/Venus now as a reality
check here can touch a legal matter, a publishing or academic situation, or a
relationship with a teacher, mentor, or institution that has needed honest
assessment. Mercury/Chiron may bring a conversation that challenges a deeply
held belief, one that is wounding precisely because the belief has been
load-bearing. Pluto's retrograde offers the interior season to genuinely
reconstruct your philosophical foundation rather than just paper over the cracks.
AQUARIUS | Aquarius Rising - the stuffed room is career, public reputation, goals
The 10th house is the most visible point in the chart. It's the Midheaven, the public role, the career, how one is known in the world. Scorpio here is why Aquarians are natural enigmas! Scorpio here tells us there is likely a significant gap between the public presentation and what's actually happening below the surface. Your career contains hidden power dynamics, your public reputation is maintained with more effort and control than is apparent or maybe there's something about the professional life that simply hasn't been dealt with openly. The Full Moon in the 10th tends to illuminate things in a way that others can see them. Saturn/Venus now as a reality check is pointed toward the career's actual viability and actual cost, so is this professional path sustainable, what has it actually cost in personal terms and is the version of success being pursued genuinely desired or inherited from external expectation? Mercury/Chiron can mean public or professional feedback that touches old wounds around authority, recognition, or the right to be seen. Pluto retrograde here begins an interior dismantling of your professional identity - the public reckoning comes in October, but the inner work of knowing who you actually are outside the role begins now.
CAPRICORN | Cappy Rising - the stuffed room is community, friendship and collective belonging
The 11th house contains our social networks, our
friendships, our sense of belonging to groups and communities and our hopes
for the future. Scorpio here means the experience of belonging has been
intense, potentially controlling, and underneath the social surface there are
dynamics that haven't been addressed directly. Maybe loyalties that have been
tested and not spoken about, friendships with significant power undercurrents or a group or community situation where something has been simmering below the surface. The Full Moon can illuminate a friendship or community dynamic
that has needed honest attention. Saturn/Venus as a reality check now often
touches the actual terms of a friendship or group affiliation. What is
this relationship actually built on, is the reciprocity genuine and maybe what has
been performed for belonging that doesn't actually fit who you are?
Mercury/Chiron can bring a conversation with a friend that gets to something
real and painful. Pluto's retrograde offers a long interior season of
understanding what genuine community means to you and beginning to release
the group dynamics that have been maintained through intensity rather than
authentic connection.
SAGITTARIUS | Sag Rising - the stuffed room is the unconscious, solitude and your hidden self
The 12th house is already the house of things hidden,
unconscious, and self-undoing and Scorpio placed here creates a kind of
double-concealment, so the most hidden material is hidden in the most hidden
place in the chart. Sags always have their secrets! The stuffing room here isn't even always visible to the
person themselves it operates below conscious awareness, in dreams, in
patterns that seem to come from nowhere, in the self-sabotage that appears just
before a breakthrough. The Full Moon in the 12th is a rare and powerful
illumination of genuinely unconscious material, so something surfaces that the
person didn't know they were carrying. Saturn/Venus as a reality check now can
touch secret relationships or situations, institutional confinements or the
hidden cost of the interior life that hasn't been brought into the light.
Mercury/Chiron in this domain often points to what needs to be said to
oneself rather than to another, maybe this is the interior conversation that's been
avoided. This can also be about a health matter or a mental health matter or addiction. Pluto's retrograde here is extraordinarily potent. The
transformation begins in the most interior possible space, invisible to the
outside world. By October, what has been composted in the
12th begins to move toward the 1st, toward actual embodiment and expression of
what was transformed in the dark.
Keep in mind this will have varying degrees of potency in your life based on the degree and your natal and progressed chart. The Moon is applying to an exalted Jupiter in Cancer (wide) indicating things will get better or bigger depending on what we do now. Also keep in mind we get a Full Moon in Scorpio EVERY YEAR around this time, and some will impact us more than others.
To recap - something that was filed away rather than faced has now been
illuminated. The week's transits priced it, named it and put it in a painful
conversation. Pluto's retrograde now offers the interior season, not to
re-stuff it, but to genuinely transform it before life asks for/shows us the
results in October and the new chapter begins in November.
The question each house is asking, in its own way, is actually the same question. What have we been controlling instead of releasing? What have we been managing instead of healing? What have we been avoiding that is now coming to light?
It becomes impossible to keep it in the dark anymore.
To sum it up - the truth rises to the surface now … and Pluto gives us time to learn how to live with it.
xo all
Note - I will do a current events post soon and pull things up to date but can see quickly the Sun is exact on Melania Trump's Saturn at this Full Moon and conjunct her Sun, so something coming out about her. The Full Moon's Sun is also exact on Epstein's natal Jupiter (!) - so definitely this story is highlighted here and not going away. So, Melania's Saturn is Epstein's Jupiter! Crazy. In Trump's chart this is the midpoint of his natal Nessus/Narcissist conjunction .... and the Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is A BRILLIANT ASSEMBLY OF OFFICIALS AT AN OFFICIAL EMBASSY BALL - I mean I can't make this stuff up folks! WTH.

Thank you for this wonderful Full Moon overview!
As you prepare the current-events post you mentioned, I hope you'll take time to consider (if you aren't already aware) the word of attorney Bradley Edwards. He has stated for years that in 2009, while investigating Epstein matters, he contacted then-citizen Donald Trump, who stated in a video interview during Trump's first term following one of the related court cases:
"The only thing that I can say about President Trump is that he is the only person who, in 2009 when I served a lot of subpoenas on a lot of people, or at least gave notice to some pretty connected people, that I want to talk to them, is the only person who picked up the phone and said, let’s just talk. I’ll give you as much time as you want. I’ll tell you what you need to know, and was very helpful, in the information that he gave, and gave no indication whatsoever that he was involved in anything untoward whatsoever, but had good information. That checked out and that helped us and we didn’t have to take a deposition of him in 2009."
The reporter then asked, "Do you have any information on James Patterson’s claims that Trump had Epstein kicked out of Mar-a-Lago?"
Edwards answered, "I definitely have heard that. I definitely have heard that and I don’t know if it was Trump himself as opposed to a manager…"
This is the kind of information most media outlets have buried because it doesn't fit their preferred narrative. But you seem to be a person of fairness and goodwill, so I thought you would want to have access to the information.
