Why wait until Sunday to get caught up - let's look at the rest of the week!
WEDNESDAY - FULL MOON IN LIBRA
FRIDAY - Mercury trines Jupiter, Venus squares Pluto
SUNDAY - Sun squares Jupiter
The centerpiece of the week is the Full Moon in Libra. This centerpiece is not like your favorite charcuterie board all nicely parceled out and balanced. This is more like grandma's old Thanksgiving centerpiece we use OUT OF HABIT with the plastic flowers and where what’s been "held together" is starting to show its seams, dust is collecting in the corners and everything is just a little too crowded.
This is RELATIONSHIP TRUTH-TELLING that comes with a cardinal t-square (tension/frustration designed to start something new) focused on Jupiter in Cancer.
It's like a magnifying glass on how our relationships are impacted by our EMOTIONAL PATTERNS/home/family/security. We talked about this HERE. Sort of :)
The Full Moon/Sun in Libra and Aries is we vs me. Jupiter in Cancer pulls in history, protection and what we have EMOTIONALLY INVESTED. This Full Moon isn't just about bringing things into balance in the present moment, it's tied into what feels safe, what feels familiar and what we’ve nurtured or protected over time.
So, when Libra says - this isn't equal! Cancer responds - but look how much I've given/built/held together. The cardinal t-square creates a push/pull focused on endings (the Full Moon culmination) and beginnings (the cardinal signs!). Libra (Moon) is about fairness and reciprocity and relationship truth, Aries (Sun) is the 'I', independence. Cancer (Jupiter) is about history and security.
So maybe the deeper question that resonates this week is something like - am I choosing balance or am I protecting something that feels safe but isn't actually equal? T-squares don't let you sit still and will require action and adjustment as this Full Moon wanes over the next two weeks.
It won't just show us where the scale is tipped but also why we are holding our fingers on the scales (!) - not because we are weak. We have done it out of caring, memory and our instinct to preserve what feels valuable.
Then almost immediately, the energy opens.
Mercury trine Jupiter brings a breath of fresh air.
After the emotional clarity of the Full Moon, this trine helps us to understand what we’re seeing. Conversations can go well. News can be good/expansive/optimistic. Maybe nothing has actually shifted YET, but we have perspective now. We’re able to zoom out and not get stuck in one emotional moment. This is where meaning can click into place.
We probably don’t stay light for long.
Moon into Scorpio plus Venus square Pluto is where things get real.
If Libra showed us the imbalance, Scorpio asks is - why does it exist? This is the undercurrent of the week - attachment, fear of loss, control, jealousy, vulnerability, manipulation, secrets. Financial/relational fears. Venus/Pluto can bring intensity in relationships and finances.
Don’t act everything out. See it. Name it. Sit with it. Power struggles don’t need to be won. Usually everybody loses. They just need to be understood.
Then we shift again.
Sun square Jupiter brings a surge of confidence and possibility.
After all that depth, it can feel like - OK, I am ready to move forward. And that’s true, but keep in mind this aspect can overestimate. It’s enthusiastic, visionary, a little loud, maybe risky. Expansion is good, but direction matters. Let's choose what’s meaningful. Don't say yes to everything.
Moon into Sagittarius supports the Sun/Jupiter beautifully but can also amplify the 'over-doing it' thing for some people.
Emotionally, things feel lighter, more hopeful. We’re less tangled up in what happened and more interested in what could happen.
When the Moon gets into Capricorn by next week, she will ground the whole experience.
This is the integration point. After clarity, depth, and expansion, Capricorn asks - what are you actually going to do with this? what is practical? what makes sense? It’s not glamorous, but it’s powerful. Small, practical steps. Elbow grease. Responsibility. Boundaries that hold. Follow-through. You get the idea.
This is going to take us through the 8th and then Mars is going to get into Aries followed by Mercury and this new chapter will take off like a rocket ship. If we don't know what to do, it won't matter, because by the middle of April we will be doing it.
Whatever it is will be right in front of us.
Collectively this is a doozy of a month. Personally, too, for many people.
The Aries New Moon that follows this one will hold more fire than we've seen in over a decade. The Libra Full Moon now holds up a mirror. The Aries New Moon in two weeks will be conjunct the Chiron/Eris conjunction and reopen the wounds this Full Moon highlights. Better to look now.
Maybe it’s time to clear the centerpiece, not to lose what matters, but to finally see what truly belongs. Not everything that’s been kept needs to remain at the center anymore. We are allowed to rearrange what we have outgrown ...
Also better to get things done because the month is only going to get busier and messier. Get extra food in your house, cash in that tin in your cupboard, keep your car gassed.
I wrote about Trump, Netanyahu and Ali Khamenei (Iran's deceased leader) HERE and we will get back to that. All three born on an Eclipse - will any still be standing by the next set of Eclipses? I have been avoiding looking at this because I believe after very many years of astrological study that there is not a thing that is GOING to happen. There are patterns and embedded energies from old happenings and things that are LIKELY to happen. But nothing is for certain and with Uranus - the planet of anything-can-happen - changing signs in just a couple weeks, well, anything can happen. Until Mars gets past Saturn and we can see where we stand/what is happening, it will be hard to see where this is going.
But there are some things we can look at - like this Full Moon on the country's charts - and we will next.
xo all
