Part I is HERE.
On Saturday, April 25th, Uranus leaves Taurus and moves into Gemini until 2033. We had a quick preview of this transit last July (the above post was written at that time) when Uranus entered Gemini only to backtrack into Taurus during his retrograde some weeks later.
Mutable signs - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces - are going to love this stuff. It's made just for them (there are some caveats with this, of course, and slippery slopes as with anything). Cardinal signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn - will be starting multiple things at once and will need to finish them. Maybe not finish them always but not leave too many cords dangling for the rest of us to trip over. Fixed signs - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius - will need to be flexible enough not to SNAP. Fixed signs are holding the world, that appears to be coming apart at the seams, together (that's their job) so their bending instead of snapping is a good idea and benefits all of us :)
Some word salads of the Uranus/Gemini combo include things like - glitches in the matrix, msgs that arrive before we are ready to hear them, being understood/misunderstood at lightning speed, flashes of genius, curiosity on overload, misinformation and insight both spreading like wildfire, neighbors becoming strangers and strangers becoming neighbors, attention as currency, saying things we don't really know, anxiety, excitement, unpredictable thinking, liberation through tech, tech drives the car, siblings acting erratically, artificial intelligence, collective thinking becomes localized, thinking outside the box, not thinking straight, multiple browsers open, saying things to shock people or push them away, ADD, ADHD, getting our signals crossed, chaos in education, chaos in local communities, aliens in your neighborhood, changes with schools, breakthroughs and breakdowns in our thinking, breakthroughs and breakdowns in communication, breakthroughs and breakdowns with tech.
It is interesting to me that when Uranus made his sneak-peek preview jump from Taurus into Gemini last July he did so hand-in-hand with Venus and Uranus/Venus repeat this same move this week, so we will unpack that a bit. Uranus MUST like Gemini. Probably quite a bit. Just having him here will be like giving Mercury/Hermes an unlimited supply of CAFFEINE.
In myth, Venus was "the gift" that came from Uranus's castration by Saturn, so I think we can see her here, as well as the sextile (opportunity) they both make to Saturn in Aries, as well as Neptune and Pluto in Aquarius, as a positive sign.
As Uranus moves into Gemini - the lightning hits Franklin's kite. The bolt of electricity hits Frankenstein's head. Something is AWAKE. Maybe it's us. Maybe it's something else. What is lightning anyway? Is it a huge release of tension? How do I not know this? I think it might be but refuse to google this morning! Sometimes I think it is better to decide to just not know. I am not kidding :)
Instead, we will pull something in here from a post I wrote in February 2024-
"Astrologically speaking, Uranus is connected to electricity and strikes of lightning, both literal and figurative, and was at 24 Gemini in his discovery chart - and if you have read any of my 'Saturday Night Mystery' posts you will recognize this degree as one of mayhem (in my opinion, also conjunct my 23 Gemini part of fortune, more mayhem).
Benjamin Franklin, famous for many things including the discovery of electricity via his connection of the similarities between lightning and static electricity with his kite and key, has a natal Uranus, at 6 degrees Leo EXACT on the United States North Node. Franklin was almost certainly an astrologer and his astrological birth chart eerily echoes the United States chart (the Sibly Declaration of Independence chart).
When Uranus was discovered in 1781, Franklin was in Paris to secure the Franco-American Alliance - an agreement with France to furnish critically needed military aid and loans to the thirteen American colonies during the American Revolution. Franklin returned to the United States in 1785 with the American Revolution (1775-1783) two years behind him, and, maybe, at least in part by having carried the lightning bolt of freedom/chaos with him, the French Revolution just two years away.
I am not saying Benjamin Franklin (Mercury in Aquarius) was a human lightning rod ... but I'm not saying he wasn't either (kite and key = inviting lightning into a controlled experiment/what flies high and what opens a door, diplomat = connecting networks, very Mercury/Aquarius and present at the hinge moment of Uranus’ discovery).
Actually, there was a guy who was nicknamed "the human lightning rod" and any doubt we have that Uranus, an outer planet, is the higher octave (universal expression) of the personal planet Mercury, and that Uranus/Aquarius are connected to electricity and LIGHTNING STRIKES (liquid Mercury conducts electricity and I think connects Mercury to electricity, too, words are powerful and meaningful) is erased when we look at the chart of park ranger Roy Sullivan.
Roy was struck by lightning seven confirmed times, maybe eight. He was born in 1912 in Virginia with Mercury and Uranus EXACTLY conjunct at 0 degrees Aquarius and in a tight trine to Mars (the trigger) in Gemini (the multiplier) on his Ascendant (his physical self).
After Roy's third or fourth lightning strike, people started avoiding him, he developed a strong fear of death (who could blame him and you could imagine what was going on inside poor Roy's head with this chart - he also had Neptune in his 3rd house) - and began to carry a can of water with him whenever he left the house. His wife, in a totally unrelated incident, was also struck by lightning while hanging laundry on their backyard clothesline. Roy died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound with transiting Chiron (wounding) on his Mars/Ascendant opposing transiting Jupiter/Uranus in a tight conjunction and applying to his natal Jupiter (the amplifier). It was all too much for poor Roy ... it won't be for us. But we'll have to be smart about things. We will have to figure out how to contain this stuff."
Lightning also makes me think of Jupiter and his lightning bolts and we will talk about him in the next post.
With Uranus in Gemini, collective life gets FASTER. Our attention span gets SHORTER. Are we losing the thread or becoming the thread? It is hard to know. The hivemind meets the individual mind. The future is pulled into the present moment. Questions become more important than answers. Here is the REVOLUTION. Here is what Pluto in Aquarius (Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius, so Pluto is answering to him) has been waiting for. Can't you just see Pluto rubbing his hands together, "oh my, NOW we've got a project!". Do we want Pluto to have a project?! Oh my.
Uranus in Gemini is the last one on the bus before the bus takes off (within an unprecedented short period of time we have had all three outer planets move into new signs - all fire and air, all masculine, all in alignment with each other). So, here we go! Where are we going? Well, we can't really know ... the gift here is that collective intelligence/genius becomes accessible. We sort of think with each other in real time. Collaboration becomes intuitive. The shadow to watch out for is loss of original thought. Echo chambers. The individual voice dissolving into groupthink or algorithmic influence. The slippery slopes of modern life are about to get a whole lot slipperier. The grounds are shaking, but those shaking grounds are PUSHING MORE PEOPLE TO WAKE UP. Is this what ascension was always going to look like?
We can all see this stuff is already happening and has happened VERY QUICKLY. Our old lives are receding so fast in the rearview mirror it is hard to be sure they were ever even really there ...
Jupiter in Cancer is expanding our nostalgic emotions, maybe once he gets into Leo it will be easier for us to see the 'gold' in this new land. Everything behind us wasn't wonderful. Everything in front of us isn't troubling. Life changes and stays the same all at once - let's try to keep this in mind if we start to spiral into some kind of dystopian thinking. Trump, the Gemini Sun, born with a tight Uranus/Sun/North Node of Fate - a master 'disruptor/taker' with a Venus problem - being at the pseudo-helm of this thing right now makes perfect sense to me.
The first good news we get is that Uranus - the planet of the shaking and quaking - leaves the fixed Earth sign of Taurus FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES. Good-bye Uranus! Uranus did not want to be in Taurus and surely Venus did not want to have him here. Our Taurus houses will grow more stable. We talked about that transit HERE - back in 2019 which feels like a lifetime ago.
Gracious host that Venus always is she shows Uranus the door, and walks him outside, so let's take a look at this change of scenery by sign/house. There are surely a gazillion posts and videos out there about Uranus moving into Gemini, and I know I have written a few, so we'll focus on the Venus/Uranus personal piece of this and see what we can see.
Mythically, this is the moment where Aphrodite/Venus, born from the rupture/castration of Uranus, meets that originating force again. This is not about reopening the wound (although, yes, old wounds can be reopened for some), but instead a time to recognize what has been created from it. What we value now is a result of past breaks, past separations, past awakenings. And at 29-degrees, that recognition becomes undeniable.
This is what this has been worth. This is what this has cost me. This is what I actually value now. Some last-minute shenanigans may or may not work, but something might feel URGENT.
ARIES | Aries Rising - Uranus/Venus 2nd to 3rd House - and this is the collective transit so applies to all of us to some degree
Venus conjunct Uranus at the final degree of Taurus delivers a jolt of recognition around money, value, self-worth and what you’ve been holding onto. This can come through sudden expenses, unexpected income shifts or a realization about what you actually want versus what you’ve been sustaining out of habit or security. Clarity arrives too loudly to ignore. Something you’ve been living with materially or emotionally reveals its true cost or value (this has been happening since around 2018, so something here is finishing up now - maybe with a bang). As Venus and Uranus move into Gemini together, the experience doesn’t stay in your body/bank account - it moves into your mind and out of your mouth. What was felt becomes something you need to communicate. New information arrives quickly. Conversations accelerate. You may feel compelled to speak suddenly or differently. Gemini multiplies and rules duality, so this might be about multiple conversations or competing narratives/storylines. You might see both what you thought something was worth and what it actually is at the same time (this will be happening until around 2033).
TAURUS | Taurus Rising - Uranus/Venus 1st to 2nd House
Venus conjunct Uranus brings a personal awakening - changes in identity, appearance or how you present yourself. You may feel suddenly different or ready to break from old versions of yourself (this has been happening since around 2018). As they enter Gemini, this shift moves into values and resources. You begin making new choices around money, possessions and your self-worth. What changed in you, now reshapes what you attract and how you sustain yourself (this will be happening until around 2033).
GEMINI | Gemini Rising - Uranus/Venus 12th to 1st House
Venus conjunct Uranus activates the unconscious - sudden insights, endings or emotional releases may arise from beneath the surface/from the past/from behind your back. Something hidden becomes known to you (this has been happening since around 2018). As they move into Gemini, this internal awakening becomes embodied. You begin expressing yourself differently. New ideas about who you are come forward. Your voice, identity and presence shift in noticeable ways (this will be happening until around 2033).
CANCER | Cancer Rising - Uranus/Venus 11th to 12th House
Venus conjunct Uranus brings surprises through friends, groups or collective spaces. Alliances shift and your sense of belonging evolves (this has been happening since around 2018). As they enter Gemini, this external change turns inward. You begin processing what these shifts mean on a deeper/older/more spiritual level. Private thoughts, dreams and unconscious patterns become more active. Quiet realizations and internal dialogue reshape your next chapter. Unexpected periods of downtime/time alone will show up (this will be happening until around 2033).
LEO | Leo Rising - Uranus/Venus 10th to 11th House
Venus conjunct Uranus disrupts career, status or life direction. A sudden opportunity, change or realization alters your public path (this has been happening since around 2018). As they move into Gemini, this change extends into your networks and future vision. New communities, friendships and collaborations/group goals emerge. VIRGO | Virgo Rising - Uranus/Venus 9th to 10th House

I think Venus is here to show us the shock is not separate from the gift. It's actually the moment the gift becomes visible. Something might break, shift or fall away, but if we look at this as not so much of a disruption of what we have/had but as a REVELATION of what we value and what is finally ready to change we will be way ahead with this thing. Uranus in Taurus has disrupted all kinds of fixed patterns. On a more practical note, Uranus with Venus can indicate a change of fortune for many people.
