Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of April 13th 2020 - power struggles, resistance, proof, words hurt, words heal, the end of the week gets better - hang in there

https://www.deviantart.com/oprisco/art/--750519060

There is lots of Aries energy this week, folks - which means action, initiative, passion, impulsivity, anger, relationship challenges, opportunities to stand up and opportunities to stand alone.

The Sun is squaring off with that January activation point now, currently the home of some powerful players - when people tell us to stay "safe" we can add "and sane" - it seems four letter "S" words are our friend now.

TUESDAY - Sun squares Pluto
WEDNESDAY - Sun squares Jupiter, Mercury conjuncts Chiron
SATURDAY - Mercury sextiles Venus, Mercury sextiles Mars

BEGINNING/MIDDLE OF THE WEEK

We start the week with the Moon moving into sober Capricorn. This can sometimes feel heavy/depressing anyway, focus us on "winter"/what we don't have, and now adds to the pressure of the Capricorn planets.

We are nurtured by stepping into our responsibilities, work, planning, limits, setting down rules. Taking care of business. Money in the bank and food in the cupboard - we are nurtured by the stuff we have earned.

The Sun (almost through his Aries journey) will square Pluto and then Jupiter. He is also squaring the activation point of January's mega Cappy pow-wow energies. At the same time Mercury is meeting up with hurting/healing Chiron.

This stuff isn't for sissies.

The solar squares are magnified pressure/power/fear.

Something is illuminated. PROOF of what the Jupiter/Pluto 2020 storyline is giving us.

(this PROOF will be different things to different people - some will see the dry "facts" we are provided with as "truth", others will see conspiracy theories actualized or dissolved and others will see the light they are holding "the positive in what is happening" spotlighted in deeper ways - there are not any right or wrong answers here - this is a process and not a test - everyone is needed and playing an important role now

Squares are tension/frustration. Aries/Capricorn is our individual action/passion/purpose vs authority/knowledge that our personal power can be stripped away from us.

Power struggles. Resistance. Tangles with authority will most likely not go our way.

Keep in mind Pluto is always death/rebirth - transformation through the 'dark night of the soul'. We evolve through loss - merging/purging. There isn't any way to hurry this stuff along or away. It just is. Pushing/manipulating as a way to hang onto something that is "dead" (ie no prana, no breath, no life-force) creates tension/frustration.

Avoid impulsive situations where you can be manipulated and check yourself before using these dark powers.

Know with these energies triggering, arguably, the biggest activation point of our lifetimes -

we need to be strong and brave because we are going to have to face the dark/our fears/any spaces that lack love.

(I have had a few emails from people asking if the astrology looks like this upside down world we are living in is a conspiracy. Life on planet Earth doesn't allow us to have all the answers. Are there illusions/power plays/manipulations here? Undoubtedly. But, keep in mind, this is still a free-will planet and a space of polarity. We can't always control what happens to us, but we do get to control how we respond. We can choose our focus. There are always going to be times when the dark/the fear (because our operating system is really only love and lack of love/fear) gets to play its hand. Just keep in mind, these are transits, ie transitory. We are forever, but these circumstances aren't. We are co-creating a totally different world - maybe what looks harsh and hard is actually the gentlest way to get us there.)

Aries squares can stimulate situations where we are forced to step up and assert ourselves.

At the same time we have Mercury (in Aries now) meeting hurting/healing Chiron.

Sharp/impulsive language can activate our deepest wounds and insecurities.

Although painful, there are words that probably need to be said/heard. Conversations that need to happen. Information that needs to be looked at.

For some people Mercury will trigger hurting/healing through a sibling/local community or transportation situation.

Still, check your language. Mercury in Aries can use his/her words as weapons. Be thoughtful (ie thinking about what you are saying and the way you are saying it).

Chiron in Aries forms a natural opposition to Libra (and this is part of the Aries/Libra polarity dance) - this would be a time when the other people in our lives, and the people we meet, who have the energetic frequencies that can easily re-wound us (trigger our early wounding/past life wounds/familial karma), will do just that.

Also, keep in mind with Chiron in Aries - no one is coming along to save us. As the Hopi would say - we are the ones we have been waiting for.

We are going to have to pull our own fat asses out of this well.

When we are the one being triggered (and we will know we are being triggered because our emotions will be out of proportion to what is being said) we can step back a little - that Mars in Aquarius - and think about why this triggering in us.

Why are we so mad/hurt about these words?

We can have compassion for ourselves. Know we are safe/loved/worthy. Know this is just what we needed to hear right now to see what we need to see/feel what we need to feel.

As we heal ourselves we heal everyone else, too.

At the same time Venus (who is now walking degrees in Gemini she will walk two more times) makes her first of three sextiles (opportunities) to Black Moon Lilith - right now at 8 degrees Aries. Maybe we are attracted to something outside the box now. Something taboo. This is a long story-line that takes us into the end of July. With Venus in Gemini, our values are changing. Again there is the need to bring everyone, and every part of ourselves, to the table this year.

By the middle of the week the Moon will make her way into Aquarius (with so much going on at the end of Cappy/beginning of Aquarius, she avoids any void and we don't get any void Moons until Friday which is unusual). We can emotionally take a step back to process what is going on.

Now we are nurtured through our groups, through the goals that bring us into connection with other people, by allowing our freak-flag to fly, by the new and unusual, through technology and Aquarian/Uranian people. We will talk about the Moon more in the dailies.

END OF THE WEEK

The end of the week looks BETTER. The Moon moves into nostalgic, emotional, intuitive and imaginative Pisces. We are nurtured through art, music, the past, our ancestors, what is behind us, stuff we can't touch, water, actual Pisces/Neptunian people, maybe nurtured through our rose-colored glasses, but sometimes we need rose-colored glasses and our masks are fogging our glasses up anyway.

Mercury (almost to the middle of Aries - she is flying, people!) sextiles both Venus (in Gemini) and Mars (in Aquarius). Our words/conversations/information are now HELPING us attract and take action on what we want.

There is flow. There are opportunities here.

Back with the big picture timelines - which I know I have been promising for-evah - and the dailies!

weekly astrology forecast | February 20th - 26th, 2023 - new moon in pisces plus unexpected news that motivates us to take action

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of July 6th - July 12, 2020 - rest, relax, have a big old blow-up (or avoid one), more things to re-consider, and we are moving forward ... maybe sideways and maybe without sugar, but moving forward

https://www.deviantart.com/sollenafotografie/art/sarah-614654703

The Eclipses are over and I would say we could rest, and this week certainly has some rest penciled into it, but notice I say penciled (ink should be used at your own discretion)

because there is that middle of the week Mars/Mercury argument thingie

and, so if I say rest, you all might be ringing me up about your family slug-fest or broken down car and reminding me I said you could "rest" and then there's also the danger of a stationary Mercury

(or is that just for me these days?!)

at the end of the week, but also maybe finally a change of direction/momentum and maybe even something to re-direct the energy of that mid-week tussle.

Let's just say we have reached the sub-chapter in our story where our protagonist, feet up at the pool, finds herself slipped sideways into a new dimension (cue the Twilight Zone music) that has long been percolating. And now, fresh from the pool and dripping chlorinated water onto her kitchen tiles, she reaches for the brew that is finally ready to drink, only to find it so strong and bitter, that no amount of sugar can mediate the taste ...

What she does next matters, of course, (starting over with a new pot is no longer an option, did I mention the electricity has gone out and besides that she's out of Folger's) but staring at the water pooling at her feet actually counts as the something she does next and so there's that. It's that kind of rest. Am I making sense? Those days at the pool are so 2019, even if we are lying by a pool.

The other point I am so poorly making is we are drinking very strong coffee so rest may be problematic at times and should be taken as we can get it.

Does that make sense?

And if you are thinking, well I've already done/been doing the resting, well, maybe you have, but that's just how tired you were/might be .... we are moving from the Age of Pisces (which rules sleep) to the Age of Aquarius (which rules lightning bolts hitting you in the head) and this 'waking up' seems to be the hardest part ...

There is alot of cardinal energy so we will feel the push to DO SOMETHING, but reacting from the discomfort (I need to be doing something) as opposed to responding to a passionate need to do a certain thing is what can muck things up.

In order for us to take right action that is sustainable (lasting change) it has to be aligned with our most passionately desired future or we are just building another house of cards. If we aren't sure what to do about the bitter coffee, we can let that pool water gather for a bit.

Keep in mind the ticking clock's alarm has ALREADY gone off. The coffee is already bitter. The kitchen is already flooded.

OK- let's unpack the week. Notice I have included the Moons for Tuesday and Wednesday, so I can work on a big-picture post about the virus.

TUESDAY - Ceres stations retrograde
WEDNESDAY - Mercury squares Mars
FRIDAY - Venus sextiles Chiron
SATURDAY - Chiron stations retrograde
SUNDAY - Sun trines Neptune, Mercury stations direct

On TUESDAY - The Moon in Aquarius is free-wheeling it all day - having gone void off last night's disruptive square to Uranus. When the Moon isn't impacted by other celestial bodies it is best for the routine stuff we do all the time (so we don't have to do something all over again later), wrapping things up, resting or dreaming about what is next. It's not the time for starting things when we have specific expectations and outcomes we are hoping for. For something we want to stay hidden - the void Moon might be our bestie because she can keep a secret - at least for awhile.

Roll with the twists and turns today - not much will come of them.

Keep in mind we are coming off that powerful Full Moon Lunar Eclipse last weekend - the Moon is waning now. An all-day Void Moon could be the perfect balm for that if you can rest up/rejuvenate and not expect too much of yourself or other people

In the meantime, Ceres stations retrograde at 12 degrees Pisces. She will get all the way back to 28 degrees Aquarius when she will station direct on October 18th, return to Pisces on November 9th and start covering totally new ground on January 3, 2021.

Ceres in our natal chart alerts us to any challenges with nurturing and directs us to the kinds of experience we need to feel unconditionally loved and accepted. Our mother issues, the way we deal with painful and uncontrollable loss and separation - that's Ceres.

You might remember Ceres (Mother Nature) was at that "time-runs-out" palaver with Saturn/Pluto back in January.  Now, in Pisces - the final of the twelve signs for her 2020 retrograde - we are working through a long and generalized WINTER.

With Ceres retrograde we will go back over losses, what is outside our control, styles of nurturing, what we are nurturing. In Pisces, nurturing needs to be unconditional. Nurturing might require a sacrifice (Pisces) or a compromise (like Ceres/Pluto in the mythology). Pisces rules endings (the kind that happen over time the water wears away rocks), and things that are hidden including viruses.

Ceres stationing retrograde gives us even more we have to re-consider.

This is EXACTLY the degree range Mercury re-walked during her/his last retrograde from February 16th - March 9th, 2020 (you might remember Mercury stationed direct right on that Virgo Full Moon that really kicked up the corona-virus situation).

So, it probably should not be a surprise that the virus might reassert itself now. Hopefully Neptune (ruler of Pisces) being retrograde this time around can mitigate its effects (make it less dangerous). Remember it was Mercury and Ceres (as well as the Sun) who joined Saturn and Pluto back in January.

On WEDNESDAY - The Void Moon continues all morning and moves into Pisces at 2:13PM turning our attention to and nurturing us through our imagination, art, music, spirituality, healing, going with the flow, sleep, creativity, connection, charity, our addictions, escape, compassion, meditation, prayer.

A retrograde Mercury (6 degrees Cancer) squares Mars (in Aries). This is the ONLY exact aspect between two planets until Sunday that doesn't involve the Moon - such a strange week!

This speaks of arguments around home/family/real estate situations - your Cancer house theme. Memories that stir the pot. Angry conversations. Words that incite violence. Tension. Frustration. Ambition. Pushy communication. Rude language. We can't walk and talk at the same time. For some - car, tech, local community or sibling problems. Something could be breaking down/malfunctioning. With Mercury covering old ground, this probably won't be a brand new situation.

Keep in mind our Aries houses are LIT for the rest of the year and this will be a repeating aspect. For example - if you are a Scorpio Rising and have Mars in your 6th house of work and health for the rest of the year know that angry words/thoughts/actions can create problems in these areas. We want to be taking action, but we might need to keep a cool head.

Also know these tension points are part of the process. Our rough edges need to be rubbed against other rough edges to get smoothed out.

We need to be careful (and purposeful) with our language this week (and really for the next three weeks until we get past July 27th) or have filled the curse-jar with dollar bills whichever comes first.

Note - Mercury/Mars is a repeating aspect we last had on May 11th and will have again on July 27th with Mercury direct. If you have planets/points in your natal or progressed chart on or very near 6 degrees of the cardinal signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn you will probably feel this one the strongest!

FRIDAY - Venus (at 9 degrees Gemini) sextiles Chiron (in Aries).

Venus, chatty in Gemini, and Chiron, antsy in Aries - tells us the balm for whatever is hurting/needs healing will come through giving the situation a little more air, a lighter (Gemini) touch (Venus), kind words, new perspectives around love/money are possible now and mostly through our ability to keep things light.

Gemini/Aries works because Aries wants his independence and Gemini has other things to do anyway.

This is the third of three sextiles for Venus/Chiron - the first mid-April, the second mid-June. So issues from that time could come back around or be finishing up.

SATURDAY - Now, it's Chiron's turn and he stations retrograde at 10 degrees Aries.

So, now we have Mercury (but only for one more day), Chiron, Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto ALL retrograde.

If his retrograde motion means he is moving nearer to a planet or point in our chart whatever is hurting will intensify now - maybe we will be required to be brave, do something we don't want to do, stand up for ourselves, etc. For most people though, and especially those with planets or points that Chiron is backing off - this will be about us doing the re's here - reflecting, re-evaluating, revising - with whatever eases up a bit. We haven't had a Chiron in Aries retrograde with Mars in Aries, so this one is going to feel supercharged. We'll talk about this as we move though it, too.

SUNDAY - Mercury stations direct at 4:27AM EDT! Our Cancer house theme or collective Cancerian situation can start moving forward now - Mercury can take a couple days to get back to speed (home, family, mother, real estate, renovation, home business, family business, safety, security, history).

The Sun (in Cancer) trines Neptune (in Pisces). More energy for that home/family situation to FLOW. Our physical life-force (Sun) can work smoothly with Neptunian themes - creativity, romance, spirituality, escape, delusion, charity work, addiction, the things and people 'put away', healing, research, institutions. Maybe a creative project needs our energy and attention. Maybe we shine a great big old spotlight (Sun) on our dreams and wishes (Neptune) - yes, please.

This is usually the day every year I recommend making a vision board.

The potential downside with this energy is getting in over our head or becoming too unbounded. Trines (brakes off) can take us from zero to sixty very quickly - they are that slippery slope our grandma warned us about.

Cancer/Pisces is not such a hard task master though - whatever we are doing we can probably do it while we sleep .. or bake a cake.

A light will almost certainly be shined on the virus now, too .... and speaking of virus I have some new theories about it, and what we might expect, that I will talk about in the next 2020 overview post which will be up this week and focused exclusively on the virus and the end of the Age of Pisces.

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of February 18th - wounds get triggered, life gets even more fishy, what needs fixing, what is good enough, exaggerations and a shifting storyline begins

Mercury is uber active this week, which makes us busy and attending to lots of details, errands, talks, meetings, commerce, communication, etc. He/she is in watery Pisces which could lead to frustrations when we need fast and accurate answers and for things to move in a straight line. This could also focus our energies and conversations around Piscean themes - what is hidden or put away or done behind the scenes, secrets, research, romance, art, music, the ethereal realms, imagination, hospitals, spirituality, addiction, healing, your ancestors who have passed away.

Stay flexible and keep some time in your schedule open.

NOTE - Mercury enters the degrees she will be re-walking during her upcoming retrograde on Tuesday, so pay attention to what is in play the beginning to middle of this week because we are going to be working and re-working this chapter over the next few weeks!

The major aspects I see are:

MONDAY - Chiron into Aries (until 2027), Sun into Pisces (until April 20th), Venus conjunct Saturn
TUESDAY - Full Moon in Virgo, Mercury conjunct Neptune (Mercury starts walking the degrees of his Pisces retrograde with a conjunction to Pisces ruler Neptune!)
THURSDAY - Venus conjunct Pluto, Mercury square Jupiter

On MONDAY, we start the week with the energy of the Venus/Capricorn conjunction we talked about last week. Continue to take money/love/resources SERIOUSLY. Here is where the rubber meets the road. We find out what we really have. We might reach a limit or hear a "no". We learn to age/mature gracefully. Attractions become more practical and time-tested. Any lack of maturity or experience could hold us back. This might be a good time to find an older and more experienced mentor or a younger and less experienced muse. Less than solid relationships can end. Money/love lessons will be learned. Loneliness will suck lemons now.

Chiron will ingress into Aries until 2027. He first entered Aries back on April 17th of last year, so issues/situations from around that time could be back in play or connect to what is happening now.

I write about Chiron in Aries HERE.

With Chiron in Aries, changes will be faster. Rough edges will be smoothed efficiently on a chopping block. We will have to get right back up when we fall down. We will see what we need to do and then we will need to do it.

There will be less time for reflection and there won't be any time for wallowing.

Except of course during Pisces season which also starts TODAY!

Chiron in Aries will be about taking action. It could be about standing up for ourselves (and vulnerable others). We might have to fight (as we work through appropriate ways to handle anger/initiative/competition) - even when it makes us uncomfortable and leaves us with knots in our stomach, hurtful words splashing around in our heads or scraped knuckles (yes, there might be some knock down - drag outs, hopefully like me you will be fighting with wallpaper).

Keep in mind - this is a seven year transit and will play out over time. You probably won't have to fight on Monday! Also keep in mind Chiron isn't about winning. No trophies will be given out (dammit). No roses tossed at our feet (which is good, because we might slip and fall and no one will want to hear us whine about our twisted ankle).

The rewards will come through the acceptance of the thing we can't win - and this is different than giving up! - the process of  "learning to live with it", and through that energetic grace/acceptance we can heal some very old, and very deep, trigger points of pain for all of us. Yes, you heal me and I heal you and we are all together (or so said John Lennon, I think .. sort of).

Your Aries planets will be taken over by Chiron at some point, your Libra planets opposed and your Capricorn and Cancer planets squared. Those with planets and points in the early degrees of these signs will feel this energy first.

The Sun moves into Pisces today - (happy almost birthday Pisces!) the mutable water sign of mystics, empaths, musicians, dreamers, poets, artists, escape artists and addicts.

It's the final sign of the zodiac, the sign of consciousness. Although often pictured as fish (maybe a fisher-of-men Christian, Age of Pisces symbol), Pisces is better imagined as the ocean itself. A symbol of life and healing - the space where one thing flows into the next, until there is no 'next'. When we are lost at sea, there are literally limitless options as to where we can go - all directions are available to us.

(which is hell for the indecisive but invigorating when we remember we are here for the adventure

Pisces people have the ability to comprehend almost anything (the downside is the ability to easily hook into stuff that isn't real - I had noticed alot of Trump's younger staff early on had strong Neptune and Uranus energies). Certainty is a temporary state of mind for Pisces. Even the truth can get a bit stretchy. For grounding and to stay in touch with the ethereal energies that continually beckon to them - they really need to meditate daily (research shows coloring activates the same brain areas).

We are all burning Pisces fuel now, and so, especially if we find ourselves unfocused and forgetful we can use meditation to free up the space we need to remain effective and centered.

Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is the place in our natal chart where we heal, avoid, wallow, dissolve or transcend boundaries. It's unlimited territory; our ocean.

Since Neptune came home to Pisces in 2012, we have all been a little less clear about what is real. Think of meditation as a requirement for life on planet Earth now - also hydration!

EXAMPLE FOR TAURUS/Taurus Rising - Chiron is moving into your 12th house of what is hidden or put away or done behind the scenes, secrets, the ethereal realms, imagination, hospitals, spirituality, addiction, healing, your ancestors who have passed away, your spirit guides. With the Sun moving into your 11th house of the collective on the same day - your friendships, groups, causes, the internet, the public, the goals that bring you into relationship with other people, your advancement, technology - a deep, possibly unacknowledged or secret wound, is activated through other people, your groups, your connected goals. This could be about something you hide from other people or something that has been hidden from you.

TUESDAY, is a big day. First we have the Full Moon in Virgo. I will write a post and link to it here. This is our second zero degree Full Moon in two months - an ending and beginning all rolled into one. The Full Moon will trine (brakes off) a stable Mars in Taurus, so our actions taken over the next two weeks are linked to solid and lasting results.

The trickiest part of the Full Moon - which emphasizes the Pisces/Virgo axis of allowing vs micro-managing (among other things) may be the days other aspect -

Mercury (ruler of Virgo, so ruler of this Full Moon) conjunct dreamy Neptune, so probably not everything the Full Moon brings to light will be real. And due to Mercury's upcoming retrograde this aspect will be a three-peat. Mercury meeting Neptune on the exact degree he starts his back and forth retrograde journey is important so pay attention to what is happening now. Not everything will be as it seems. Think - alternative "facts".

Minds and ideas will morph over the next few weeks.

This is going to re-activate this year's major repeating transit, the Neptune/Saturn sextile (working for the dream) we have talked about before - making us aware of what we are giving up to get something solid or what solid thing/boundary is being dissolved.

EXAMPLE FOR LIBRA/Libra Rising - the Virgo Full Moon is lighting up your 12th house of what is hidden or put away or done behind the scenes, secrets, the ethereal realms, imagination, hospitals, spirituality, addiction, healing. Secrets move out of the shadows. Stuff gets dug up. Mercury in your 6th house of day-to-day activities, your routine, work, co-workers, pets and your health - could bring something here into play while the Neptune/Saturn sextile activation makes you aware of what you are giving up to get something solid or what solid thing/boundary is being dissolved. Whatever you are working through here will play out over Mercury's retrograde through the middle of April.

On THURSDAY, Mercury will square Jupiter and again with Mercury set to station retrograde, we are going to communicate/converse/think - or with Jupiter involved - over-communicate, over-converse, over-think -  our way through this situation multiple times. Conversations could be inflated. Exaggerations are likely. Enthusiasm and optimism is a good thing, just keep in mind things could appear better than they actually are. We will be working our way through this until the middle of April, so there is plenty of time for pins to get pressed into the inflated stuff. Not everything will be totally realistic now and there will be details and information we just can't see yet. We don't know what we don't know here. Don't bet the farm. Focus on the facts.

At the same time Venus meets Pluto at 21 degrees Capricorn and sextiles Mercury (in Pisces). Venusian situations - love, money, our resources, values and self-esteem - get more intense. Our need for love/money increases. This is good energy for attracting powerful people and situations that bring us into a more powerful position. Avoid manipulation now. Avoid jealousy and compulsive crap. Look deeper at what you already have and what you really want. Situations will likely conspire to force our hands with this.

Keep in mind, with Mercury bringing the opportunity and set to retrograde over this storyline a couple times over the next few weeks, patience and possibly some revisions and adjustments will be required to get to the good stuff. Stay positive and focused on what you want, which with Pluto, is likely to come through a merger (or intimacy) with other people and/or their resources.

EXAMPLE FOR ARIES/Aries Rising (and keep in mind Aries rising puts the planets in their natural houses, so this one is in play for all of us collectively) with Jupiter in your 9th house - travel, higher education, weddings, politics, legal issues, the media, publishing, foreigners, everything outside your comfort zone, exploration, your beliefs and higher thinking squaring Mercury from your 3rd house of communication, information, writing, siblings, transportation or your local neighborhood - optimistic ideas and plans are possible now. Just keep in mind Jupiter's tendency to make things appear bigger/better than they are and the fact we have a few weeks of revisions and re-thinking ahead of us. With Venus/Pluto in your 10th house of your career, your calling, your achievements, your achievement goals, dad, business, authority, responsibility sextiling (opportunity) Mercury from your 12th house of what is hidden or put away or done behind the scenes, secrets, the ethereal realms, imagination, hospitals, spirituality, addiction, healing - behind the scenes machinations/hidden information is helping you with your career/goals. This is going to play out over the next few weeks (through mid-April), so it will be a while before you know exactly where you stand here. Stick with the facts. Stay in your integrity. Avoid gossip and deception. Do your job.

Back - somewhat daily - with the Moons and back with the Full Moon in Virgo post!

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of April 15th - it's full steam ahead, big love, the cost of our big dreams, not knowing when to stop, returning to dry land, now we know, we are stardust, are we doing this together or not, painful words, coming back into balance, endings, culminations and fresh starts

https://www.deviantart.com/snjezanajosipovic/art/s-165975704

Lots of Venusian energy and it's FULL STEAM AHEAD when Mercury finally exits Pisces. Expect change and clarity this week as THREE personal planets change signs - two from water into fire and one from fire into earth - AND we have a big and unpredictable second Full Moon in Libra!

Some of the major aspects in the week ahead include -

MONDAY - Venus squares Jupiter
WEDNESDAY - Mercury enters Aries, Sun trines Galactic Center
THURSDAY - Venus squares Galactic Center
FRIDAY - Full Moon in Libra, Mercury conjunct Chiron
SATURDAY - Sun enters Taurus, Venus enters Aries

On MONDAY, Venus (in Pisces) squares Jupiter (retrograde in Sagittarius). Squares bring tension/frustration/crisis, but when our two beneficial planets are squaring each other, things can't be that bad, can they? This speaks of love, compassion and expansion, but maybe also an inability to know when to stop. It has me thinking about the cost (Venus) of going after what we want (Jupiter) - adjustments around this may be needed now. Keep in mind we still have yesterday's trine between the Sun and Jupiter in play - making us lucky and confident.

If we have taken the time to sort out the various knots, disappointments and annoyances of the last few weeks - this is the energy (coupled with the Sun's trine) that can deliver the rewards.

On WEDNESDAY, Mercury finally leaves Pisces after TWO MONTHS and enter fiery Aries. The fog lifts.

With Mercury in Aries our language and thinking becomes more focused, clear-headed and passionate. We don't want to talk about/think about everything (Pisces) we just want to talk about this one specific thing (Aries). We get clarity.

Mercury (ideas, thinking, language) in Aries puts our instinct into words.

Our mind gets faster. Our tongue gets sharper. Words get pushy. It is easier to speak up for ourselves and ask for what we want/need. We can also more easily pick an argument as language becomes more competitive. Mercury in Aries says, "I know what I think and this is what I think."

One of the best uses of this energy, and Mercury will be in Aries until May 6th, would be exactly this - saying what we really think - and yes, this can get us into trouble, so let's not be fools about it - keep in mind Aries impulses can be either self-aggrandizing and immature or passionate and sparking a needed fire. Other best uses include - solving a problem (fire burns off the old gunk and brings fresh insights), initiating a new course of study/learning/teaching or starting a bold, new plan.

Think: fresh start with Mercury themes - words, thinking, writing, learning, teaching, ideas, sibling issues, transportation, your local community. Also bringing fresh words and ideas into your Aries natal house.

Whatever we do with this energy it FINALLY (coupled with Venus's exit from Pisces on Saturday) gets us out of the Pisces water this week. This has been a long journey, but now we know.

At the same time the Sun, still in Aries, but only for a couple more days will trine (brakes off) the Galactic Center. What do we want to manifest? Here is the energetic to change our vibration. Our Sun (as us) is reclaiming our true identity as part of source energy. There could be more reassurance now we are on the smoothest path.

To get the most from this week's transits we need to stop attaching ourselves to our obstacles!

(We are part of a spiral galaxy known as the Milky Way. It is 100,000 light years across and includes over 200 billion stars including our closest star, the Sun. All the stars we see in the sky are part of the Milky Way Galaxy. At the center of our Milky War Galaxy is a super-massive black hole - the Galactic Center. This is the place where time and space were created so you and I would have a place to learn and grow and work and play. This isn't the black hole photographed last week, but google that pic anyway if you haven't seen it yet)

On THURSDAY, Venus (in Pisces) squares the Galactic Center. Venus as a trigger planet tends to bring opportunities to see clearly what we really value, to feel love or any lack of love and the ability to see the beauty in the situation. Squaring source/God/what we are made of - might bring a situation/opportunity for us to feel what is out of alignment with the star-stuff we truly are.

On FRIDAY, we get the SECOND Full Moon in Libra. This Moon brings us back into balance. After this month we won't be having a Full Moon followed by a New Moon, the whole out-of-time thing we have had going on this year - we will finally start having a New Moon followed by a Full Moon!

Like the last Full Moon (at the very beginning of Libra), this one also, coming at the very end of Libra, will be focused on our relationships. What have we learned in the last month? We are getting another look at the spaces we are being overly dependent/independent. And this Moon is ruled by Libra's ruler Venus - who is squaring the Galactic Center and Jupiter! The Sun (opposing the Moon at the end of Aries) will be conjunct anything-can-happen Uranus AND Mercury will be conjunct hurting/healing Chiron.

Expect a BIG post!

On SATURDAY, Venus enters fiery Aries.

Aries Suns and Aries Ascendants become more attractive - both easier on the eye and able to attract what they want. All our natal Aries houses become more attractive, too. Attracting both what we want (Venus) and what we line up with energetically - as the house itself gets woken up by attractive and loving Venus.

In Aries, Venus functions best when she puts herself first.

In Aries, Venus will be thinking, "what's best for me?".

In Aries, Venus is a WARRIOR (and love is a battlefield ... cue Pat Benatar).

Something to keep in mind as we give ourselves permission to go after what we want (always that fly in the ointment) is the impulsive nature of Aries. If Venus was always in Aries our relationships would last 15 minutes and the things we bought/valued would very quickly fall out of favor and we'd be on to the next thing. Maybe not such a good long-haul energetic, but as a transit, ie transitory, Venus in Aries can get on with the business of getting us what we want in a very effective manner.

On the same day the Sun moves from 'Action Jackson' Aries into "stop and smell the roses" Taurus where he starts answering to VENUS and will begin to shine a light on all things Taurus and energize our Taurus houses until May 20th.

This doesn't mean life slows down - especially with Mercury charging off the starting line, but we will feel much better if we make the time to enjoy those slower moments, care for ourselves (and others, but especially ourselves) in loving and practical ways and appreciate what we already have.

If Taurus is stubborn, it's only because it rules really important stuff - the kind of things that have to be nurtured and preserved and seen through to the end.

Taurus is the nuts and bolts of life. She rules our second house of everything important money can buy and everything important money can't. She rules food and nourishment. She rules the sensual touch that feels like love. She rules our resources - our money, the planet. She rules our self-esteem and values.

Ruled by balanced and beautiful Venus our lives could get maybe more imbalanced until they topple over or we are forced to remove something from the more loaded side or add something to the weaker one.

Taurus is the space in your natal chart that naturally encloses what we are here to nurture, preserve and grow. It may be a space we have a bit less passion and ambition because we most naturally feel the need to sustain what takes root here. A bird in the hand thing usually applies to the theme of whatever space Taurus occupies in our natal chart. The energy is cautious because the thing we are holding/carrying here is precious.

It can also become the fear-based space where good things go to die - and then we carry around a bunch of dead stuff like a crate of rotted vegetables and wonder why we are so tired all the time ... and smell like brussel sprouts. So, there's that, too. Sorry Taurus, you know I love you!

(and keep in mind who else is in early Taurus ready for his first conjunction with the Sun here in decades - that fast-change maker, ass-kicker Uranus - we'll talk about that more NEXT WEEK)

This is a big week with lots of twists and turns. The big news is that second (a very unusual happening) Full Moon in Libra

AND we finally swim out of the Pisces energy. Things start to dry out.

I love Pisces and am extremely grateful for the old and ancient personal, family, and ancestral karma this energy carries for us with the purpose of helping us clear the residue of those old traumas and wounds, but two months is enough! It feels good once we clear it, but it can feel like major overwhelm and constant trigger points until we do.

We should feel much relief with that this week. If we were doing the rose-colored glasses thing or didn't know what to do/think - that should ease up now, too. Mercury and Venus in Aries will make it pretty clear what we need to do.

weekly astrology forecast | march 18th - 24th, 2024 - spring equinox! a Mercury retrograde preview week, dissolving agreements, powered and empowered, reality checks, opportunities to attract something better and relationship pivot points

astrology forecast for the week of march 21st - March 27th, 2022 | hope, faith and gunpowder, explosive changes ahead

There are two prevalent themes this week,

one is optimistic/hopeful (likely won't all pan out, but we'll follow the breadcrumbs at this point anyway) - we lean in, toward something BIGGER focused on new growth/the future as we release any tangled obsession with something that is overly complicated/dead.

The other theme is about breaking free from what has grown stagnant/too rooted via unexpected disruptions, outbursts, accidents. And we can see how these two themes are working together.

We want to be RESPONDING AND NOT REACTING to frustrating situations this week.

Change is necessary, but can be upsetting/uncomfortable.

We only have a few more weeks of miracle-making/spiritual-healing Pisces energy

(we have not had this much celestial magic in our lifetimes folks as the Pisces heavy hitters approach their own "world starts up again" pow-wow in mid April

and now, with the Sun in Aries and Mercury by the end of this week, it will be easier to actually do something with it.

We'll talk more about this in the next post when we look ahead to April.

For now, let's unpack the week:

MONDAY - Mercury conjuncts Jupiter, Mars sextiles Chiron

TUESDAY - Mars squares Uranus

WEDNESDAY - Mercury conjuncts Neptune, Mercury sextiles North Node

SATURDAY - Mercury sextiles Pluto

SUNDAY - Mercury into Aries

MONDAY - Mercury, at 18 degrees Pisces meets up with Jupiter, while Mars, at 11 degrees Aquarius, sextiles Chiron in Aries, TUESDAY - Mars, at 12 degrees Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus.

There could be BIG news now (it might be a bit or quite a bit overblown, so keep this in mind) - hopeful, optimistic. The impossible can look quite possible ... and this is the sign of miracles, so maybe it is. Life doesn't dangle these carrots to make us crazy (or hungry), but to wake us up to what is possible. Excellent energy for prayer/meditation. There are opportunities for healing via our actions/passion/initiative/men/groups. Maybe the news/information/conversation itself is healing. Maybe this, rather than the accuracy of the information, which is hard to say at this point, IS the point. What does it mean if we really, really want something to be true? With the Mars/Chiron our old vulnerabilities/embarrassments are now empowering us. We CAN be ourselves, take care of ourselves, start something new - whatever this is.

Now, as Mars is sextiling (opportunity) wounded healer Chiron, Mars is also applying to his square to disruptive Uranus (and with Mars in Aquarius he is answering to Uranus which is probably just powering this whole thing up), so it could be through tension/frustration we get the LIBERATION/CHANGE that creates the opportunity to heal these very old wounds, strengthen ourselves and over time share these strengths with other people because we understand these particular kinds of struggles ourselves.

Expect breakthroughs, breakdowns, break-ups. Disruption. Impulsivity. Sudden anger. The challenge comes through our Taurus house, so collectively this will be about resources, money and values (and our natal Taurus house theme).

This is explosive energy, although not something that comes completely out of the blue because we've had the Sun and Mercury through here and Venus just within the last few days. This is accident prone energy, so slow down. Think, before you say/do something you might regret later. On the other hand, since Mars is the last inner planet to work a square with Uranus until summer, if something in our Taurus house needs to break free, it probably will. Hold on loosely, change is necessary, but could leave us rattled and we could take things too far if we act TOO impulsively, so try to keep a cool head.

This is Mars/Uranus closing square that will be unwinding until they meet and start a new cycle in August. So, there will likely be a connection now to something we have going on BIG TIME near August 1st when Mars meets Uranus AND the North Node (fate/the future). Space for the NEW is being created.

To use this volatile energy in its most potent/positive form - do something differently. Be brave and INNOVATIVE!

(Mars/Uranus is likely to bring something explosive #unexpected,#nottotallyunexpected to the Ukraine/Russia situation since it was Mars across the HOT 22 Cappy that launched that)

We don't want to be resisting change just because we do not know how to respond to it. The backdrop of the big Pisces energies is silently guiding us through the emotional/mental uncomfortableness, through the Uranus disorder/crisis to a place that is more simple, clear and real.

On WEDNESDAY, Mercury, at 23 degrees, meets up with Neptune and sextiles the North Node in Taurus.

This might speak of acceptance with the change/disruption. We are going to need to go with the flow here. the currents are moving us in the direction we need to go, we can trust this. Our intuition will be high now. We have an open channel to both our ancestors and our smoothest path forward - which is their path, too. They are alive through us just as we are alive through them. Pisces is reciprocal energy, think of the number eight lying on its side; the symbol of infinity. Words/messages are powerful now, and pointing us in an opportunistic direction, but Pisces energy can also be subtle. We are feeling what people are saying more than hearing what words are coming out of their mouths.

GO WITH THE FLOW.

By the end of the week, on SATURDAY (keep in mind dates are not exact for aspects other than lunar), Mercury has now reached 28 degrees and is sextiling powerful Pluto.

Words are powerful/persuasive. We are looking under the hood/the covers. Hidden resources/opportunities can float up to the surface here. This aspect has some 'dark magic' connotations, so don't try to manipulate data/information/the conversation/other people now.

This is Pisces/Cappy energy - good for making the dream real.

Putting some solid legs under something illusive. Good for dealing with authority and stepping into our own in a compassionate manner. Good for healing curses. Making powerful vision boards. Setting intentions. This 28 degrees Pisces is where the Sun sextiled Pluto last week and where Venus will meet Jupiter at the end of April while sextiling Pluto - which could be the best aspect of 2022 and will close out a volatile month with a GIFT. So, what seeds do we want to plant now with our words/imagination? Since this is Pluto (ruler of Scorpio and death/rebirth), and Mercury is at the very end of the very last sign -  thinking about/talking about/writing about what we want to release (because it is dead, not good for us), transformed, merged in a very intimate way or what we are pregnant with (kind of the pre-birth energy of something) is very powerful now.

On SUNDAY, Mercury joins the Sun in fiery Aries. Our language and thinking becomes more focused, clear-headed, courageous and passionate. We don't want to talk about/think about everything (Pisces) we just want to talk about this one, probably 'new' thing (Aries). There might be as much arguing as talking.

The silence that was so golden in Pisces gets broken in Aries. Think: fresh start with Mercury themes - words, thinking, writing, learning, teaching, ideas, sibling issues, transportation, local community. Also bringing fresh words and fresh thinking into our natal Aries house theme and the house that holds our natal Aries. While in Aries over the next few weeks, Mercury will meet Chiron, meet the Sun, sextile the Aqua planets - Saturn and Mars and square Pluto. Mercury will be in Aries until April 10th.

Keep the faith everyone, BIG, likely chaotic, change in the world this week, but know Venus and Jupiter are meeting on the North Node at the end of April providing a loving/expansive portal into the best possible timeline. We have already started lining ourselves up with this - we'll talk more about it in the next post.

xo all - back with a look at April and we'll take another look at Ukraine/Russia.

Full Moon in Libra and the Spring Equinox | March 20, 2019 - moving our relationships into the future, stand-offs, taking a good hard look in the mirror, balance is the new black, shifting values, kicking off a New Solar Year when we have both time and luck on our side

On Wednesday, March 20th, just hours after the Sun moves into Aries bringing the Spring Equinox and kicking off a New Solar Year - the Libra Moon meets the Aries Sun at 0 degrees bringing the rare FIRST OF TWO Full Moons in relationship-focused Libra this year.

Full Moons bring things to light, to a peak/culmination and to an END.

But with the powerful Spring Equinox happening on the same day and with the Moon at the very beginning degree of the sign (this is the 3rd Super Moon we've had in a row) there is also a BIG NEW BEGINNING now as we shift toward something that brings greater BALANCE/peace/justice/cooperation into our lives - this will play out over the next couple weeks (Full Moon) AND continue to play out over the next year as we live out the Solar New Year chart (transiting planets/points interacting with the Spring Equinox chart).

With unpredictable Uranus triggering life/death Pluto and the North Node of Fate as a retrograde Mercury conjuncts Neptune square Jupiter. And Mars opposes Venus. PLUS the Full Moon/Vernal Equinox energy. There is volatility here and we can see this playing out in the world and in our own lives.

Let's unpack the Full Moon.

The Sun and Moon are opposing each other from the "me vs we" signs of Aries and Libra. Challenges within our relationships are possible now.

The Sun and Moon are inconjunct "fast-change" Uranus in our Taurus house. So change comes from that area of our chart - collectively we are talking about Taurus themes - money, values, resources, self-esteem AND the change plays out through our Libra house - collectively through relationships/partnerships/agreements. Whatever this is for us it will require we make an adjustment.

Chiron - at 1 degree Aries - is conjunct the Sun and opposing the Full Moon. Maybe whatever is 'coming to light' or to a culmination/conclusion now is somehow painful. It could be a weakness/vulnerability is exposed in the Full Moon's bright light. Maybe whatever "me vs we" dynamic we have playing out now leaves us standing/feeling alone. Any distance between us and a partner/partnership could be more keenly felt now. Imbalances will tend to topple over. With Chiron in warrior Aries we are going to need to be brave. With Chiron in Aries there are time we will have to stand on our two feet over the next few years. For some people this will be one of those times. A contact to Chiron is another opportunity to work through wounds that are very old and very deep!

Mars (in Taurus) is trining Pluto and Saturn (in Capricorn). Practical action moves things forward now. This is stabilizing and adds strength and permanence. Change is supportive - even if it doesn't feel like that in the moment. Mars is sextiling (opportunity) the North Node of Fate. We can get there from here. Life can use whatever action we take to get us where we are needed. Actions taken at the time of this Full Moon receive celestial assistance. Keep in mind the long game we are playing now. This action doesn't have to be some big bold thing.

Venus (love, beauty, our resources, values, partnerships) is squaring Mars and these planets rule the Full Moon (Venus/Libra, Mars/Aries), so this square speaks of tension/frustration - conflict between our masculine and feminine energies that could play out within ourselves (what we want vs what we have to do to get what we want, our ability to be ourselves, to be liberated) or between us and those pesky other people in our lives.

All kinds of important relationships and agreements/contracts with other people could be stressful now.

Projections are ricocheted back to us at the Libra Full Moon anyway and with the rulers of the lunation squaring off, this will likely play out through tension/frustration, even crisis.

Alot of the stuff we thought was "them" will turn out to be "us". And alot of stuff "they" are thinking is "us", will turn out to be "them". Chiron in Aries tells us our healing now is dependent on how much of this we are willing to own.

(meaning not owning what isn't ours - brush that stuff off - BUT taking responsibility for the energy we are bringing into the situation - the way our relationships mirror us will be easier to see now in the Moon's bright light)

Passive aggression. Sexual frustration. Conflicts between getting what we want and being able to get along/live in peace. Frustration as we assertively go after love or money. We want this. They want that. Part of us wants this. Part of us wants that.

Our wants and needs within our relationships are being re-defined now. We can see where we are taking more than we are giving or vice versa.

Some relationships will end now.

New partnerships can also begin - they might be volatile at times, but could be long lasting and prosperous/expansive.

(of course with Mercury retrograde some endings will not be quite so permanent when Mercury stations direct and some new relationships could dissolve then, too)

Remember Venus is running the show here and she is in Aquarius. Going backward, doing things the same old way, squeezing ourselves (or trying to squeeze someone else) into a tight little box isn't going to cut it anymore.

What is really happening is our relationships (which are living creations) are struggling to catch up to the changes within us!

Jupiter (home in Sagittarius) is sextiling Venus, so here is our way through the Mars/Venus conflict. The theme of our Sagittarius house and/or our collective Sagittarius themes is our safe passage through these minefields - optimism, seeing the big picture, staying flexible, embracing whatever is foreign to us, learning something new, teaching something old, getting sage advice from an elder, expanding into new territory, traveling, publishing, media, the legal system. This is the road to greater FREEDOM.

A retrograde Mercury is conjunct Neptune at the time of the Full Moon/Vernal Equinox chart -this will be exact at the end of the week. So this is building at the time of the Full Moon. This connects us back to a message we received around February 19th. We need to re-member it now. We need to re-vise this. We are re-building, re-inventing, re-thinking this thing.

Keep in mind this is a zero degree Full Moon - we don't know what we don't know. By mid-April when Mercury is walking new degrees and we have the SECOND Libra Full Moon at the very end of Libra we will be much more certain with anything that is up in the air now (it's rare enough to have two Full Moons in the same sign in a year, even more rare to have one at the very beginning of a sign and the next at the very end).

We are still in the process of figuring this stuff out.We are trying to make things work. Maybe we are afraid to make a decision we could regret later. Maybe we are afraid to let go of this thing/situation/person before we have all our other ducks in a row

(note - our ducks will never be in a row for more than 30 seconds, which is a good reason to truly, truly appreciate things when they are and also a good reason to not sit around waiting for everything to get all lined up, because one of our ducklings will wander into the street, fall through a storm grate in the road and the next thing we know we are trying to coax our life back into balance with crackers and mommy duck calls - quack!).

THIS IS A PROCESS.

Maybe we can't decide right now because right now isn't the time to decide.

This Full Moon is in Libra, the sign of the scales - we are weighing things out. We get ANOTHER Libra Full Moon in a month and THEN we will know what we are doing because we will be doing it.

With Mercury in Pisces backing into Neptune we are listening to our inner voice. The guidance of our ancestors, our past lives, our intuition, our inner knowing. We are finding the spiritual perspective during these big endings.

With Venus (ruler of this Full Moon and remember Mars in Taurus is answering to her right now, too) in a sextile to expansive, lucky Jupiter - MORE is being offered to us than we could ever even imagine!

We are standing around with our hands full of what we wanted/needed YESTERDAY and can't figure out how to reach for what we want/need NOW.

Life is helping us work through all of this with these repeating transits!

There is nothing to worry about.

The big energetic shifts have already happened.

The aftershocks are, well, shocking, but we can handle them.

Moves made now can be extremely effective. So make one.

xo all

(symbolic moves work, too)

Change/need for adjustment and challenge is coming from your Taurus house - what house does Taurus rule in your natal chart? What is the theme of that house?

The change will play out in your Libra house - what house does Libra rule in your natal chart? What is the theme of that house?

The opportunity/ease will come through your Sagittarius house - what house does Sagittarius rule in your natal chart? What is the theme of that house?

I haven't had a chance to get to this for all the signs like I had hoped. If you want to know what houses/themes all this is impacting for you just leave a comment or email me and I will check for you (you will need to know your birth date, time and place). We ALL have the collective themes going on that I wrote about in this post, too. Collectively this Full Moon is all playing out through our relationships.

Be sure to get out and walk in the Full Moon!

Astrology Forecast for Monday, September 24th - Full Moon in Aries, a painful ending or culmination, a vulnerability coming to light, conversations around touchy subjects, a zeitgeist, taking action on our long term goals or something that stabilizes, rock solid commitments, new beginnings that are RIGHT IN OUR FACE

Bright Full Moon by Claire Solo

"I'd rather be whole than good." ... C.G. Jung

MONDAY - Full Moon at 1 degree Aries
TUESDAY - Sun squares Saturn
WEDNESDAY - Chiron backs into Pisces, Mars conjuncts the South Node
THURSDAY - Sun trines Mars
FRIDAY - Pluto stations direct

I write the weeklies on Sunday and again this Sunday, my time is not my own, so I will have to do dailies!

This week is going to be big and busy. Let's take a look at Monday.

The Moon is VOID ALL DAY on MONDAY until her move into Aries at 7:04PM EDT (so not the day to start anything new) opposing the Sun, freshly housed in Libra, and giving us this year's Full Moon in Aries.

The Full Moon is always a time of tension - it's a time of Sun opposite Moon. Oppositions are pretty much just what they sound like. There is a reason police departments and emergency rooms are uber busy during Full Moons!

This month we've got the Sun in Libra at 1 degree (ruled by Venus - peace, women, balance, fairness, love, cooperation) and the Moon in the opposite sign of Aries at 1 degree (ruled by Mars - war, young men, initiative, passion, courage, anger, violence, independence).

This is the culmination of the Aries New Moon that launched the lunar year back in April, maybe something from that time is finishing up. Feels like years ago, doesn't it? I am aging in dog years now, how about you?

At the Full Moon things peak, culminate or come to light. Results are delivered. Stuff finishes up.

Conjunct wounded healer Chiron, it is possible that a weakness or vulnerability is illuminated now. Something here is outside of our control. Endings are probably going to hurt. The Moon squares both Vesta and Saturn (both in serious Capricorn). The whole thing is forming a T-Square with Saturn/Vesta as the focus. Saturn is authority and structure - walls and rules. Vesta speaks of devotion and in Capricorn; a devotion to tradition; keeping things the way they have always been, keeping the flame alive. A responsibility/commitment/limit is highlighted.

The Sun is cozied up to Mercury so a spotlight (Sun) could be directed onto a conversation or message or idea. The opposition to the Moon in fiery Aries tells us something here is too demanding or creates contention or is simply unfair. Or maybe our head is at odds with our emotions (instincts). Imbalances within relationships could be highlighted. Self-interest could be highlighted - this is the Aries Moon after all! With both the Sun and Mercury squaring Saturn - there could be limits around communication - what can be said, what information comes out. Maybe answers are not to our liking. Maybe the numbers don't add up.

The Moon is sextile (opportunity) Mars - ruler of the Moon since he rules Aries! - telling us we will be able to move through this if we take take action on (that Saturn!) our long terms goals/goals that increase our security over time. This is a time for solid commitments - for things that are built to last. Remember Mars is moving toward his final conjunction with the South Node - we are all clearing the decks and making way for something NEW!

EXAMPLE for Aries/Aries Rising - and remember Aries rising is the collective energy since it puts the signs in their natural houses (meaning this example is in play for all of us collectively - although you may have stronger themes at play with your natal house themes). With the Moon sitting with Chiron painful endings are possible now. Some could be things we have initiated, others could be forced upon us. The T-Square speaks of changes within our career/what we have publicly devoted ourselves to (Saturn/Vesta), our partnerships (Libra Sun) and ourselves/our brand (Aries Moon). Sun/Mercury indicates powerful conversations around touchy subjects. Mars is pushing for action on our goals that increase out long-term security - we are playing the long game, remember! Know that commitments/contracts/partnerships initiated now and built on solid ground are going to be around for awhile. Actions now have far reaching consequences. Fortune favors the brave at this Full Moon. We will need to work through our fear/vulnerability with whatever it is we are trying to do now!

So, the above is the general layout of this Full Moon for all of us because these are the collective houses.

We also each have our natal layout that could be more precise. Where are your natal Aries, Libra and Capricorn houses - what are those house themes? Let's look at one sign (sorry I didn't have the time to think about/write about all twelve).

EXAMPLE for Scorpio/Scorpio Rising - this Full Moon is happening in your 6th house (Aries house) of your day-to-day activities, your routine, work, co-workers, pets and your health. The Moon sitting with Chiron here speaks of the possibility of a painful ending or a vulnerability/pain coming to light. You will likely feel unprepared for whatever is happening. Uncomfortable conversations (Capricorn house) are possible around those 6th house themes, something you have devoted yourself to and/or issues from the past (Libra house - maybe something you haven't wanted to look at, a healing issue, an addiction, a secret). Do what needs to be done Scorpio. But keep in mind this isn't the time for any mountain leaping. As a friend said to me recently - when you don't know what is "right" to do - do what is sensible. Your modern ruler, Pluto, is moving direct at the end of this week, your energy/power is set to return - hang in there!

With the Full Moon happening at the Aries point (1 degree Aries) there is a collective story playing out - a zeitgeist - for this moment that matters. Pay attention to the national news, the world news and your local news. With the Aries Full Moon - we are working the Aries/Libra polarity. Us vs other people. How we partner. How we balance and share. Is justice just? Since Aries is ruled by Mars and Libra is ruled by Venus - this could be a masculine vs feminine story ....

This is a fiery Full Moon - keyed in to endings, yes, but also to the Sun's Libra ingress and POWERFUL NEW BEGINNINGS - get out and walk in it.

With so many planets in the early degrees it is good energy for fresh starts and to get stuff out into the world - just watch the long Void Moons, we have three this week!

Full Moon in Libra | April 6th, 2023 - a change of heart, new ways of finding peace, RELATIONSHIP EYE-OPENERS and conclusions, RESOLVING VERY OLD BATTLES with ourselves through other people, learning to live and love in an unstable time

The astrology of the covid vaccinations | part II - the USA shots begin as Mars meets the USA natal Chiron on an eclipse!

Part l is HERE

So, now let's take a look at the USA's charts. We will look at the chart for the first USA vac and then see how it connects with the USA natal.

The USA public vaccinations begin as transiting Mars hits the USA natal Chiron, transiting Chiron squares the U.S. natal Jupiter (U.S. chart ruler) on a Solar Eclipse! Whah!

Let's unpack the charts!

The top chart is for the first USA vaccination - at 9:05AM in Brooklyn, New York - this was the date of the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius (a new quest) - I wrote about it HERE. We can see the chart has a Capricorn rising which makes Saturn, at 29 degrees Capricorn, the chart ruler for the vaccination event itself. Now, Saturn rules Capricorn which is a good thing although the 29th degree itself is considered an anaretic degree - accidentally weak/exhausted at the end of a sign - it often speaks of a desperate situation/a 'Hail Mary' play.

Moving right into the second chart - the first chart is pretty much all there in the Eclipse post - mostly a good Eclipse forecast (but Eclipses are tricky times to predict) with the exception of that dissolving/sometimes disappointing square to Neptune from the Eclipse Moon and Sun. Not a small thing in the vac chart since we are talking about a virus (Neptunian condition).

The first thing we see in that second chart - now here we are comparing the USA birth chart to the chart when that first vaccination is happening -  is we have Mars  EXACTLY conjunct the USA natal Chiron (wounded healer).

The transiting North Node is conjunct the USA natal Mars - the future/fate. Mars on the U.S. natal Chiron speaks of action toward healing very deep/old woundings - remember the "event" that stoked this whole fire (the mid-January meeting of Saturn and Pluto at 22 degrees Cappy) happened on the U.S. natal asteroid Narcissus which is squaring the Mars/Chiron.

Healings related to our collective narcissism, through Trump/through covid. As well as the learning, which may come now and over time, that there will be some things we are probably going to need to just learn to live with. 20 degrees Aries is also the degree of Biden's natal Sedna - she is going to play a BIG role in part III of this series as we decipher this stuff without all the astro talk. So, we have Mars meeting the USA's Chiron and Biden's Sedna at the time of the Eclipse/vaccination kick off. Biden's chart is about to be impacting the U.S. chart the way Trump's has been for the past four years, so this is important.

Transiting Sedna is conjunct the USA natal Wuhan/Pandora conjunction on fixed star Algol (known as the most malevolent star). She is trining those Cappy planets - Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn and squaring the USA Moon (the people, not all of whom trust/want the vaccine).

Transiting asteroids Pandora and Wuhan (two significators or tested stand-ins for the virus/pandemic) straddle the USA mid-heaven with transiting Narcissus opposing transiting Chiron. So, all the players are interacting, which is probably a good thing, but the interactions are complicated.

Transiting Venus - ruler of the USA's natal 6th house of health - is in the 12th house sextiling the USA natal Pluto, so there is alot we can't see here/can't measure/can't know. But we can see that chart ruler Saturn's very next aspect is an opportunistic sextile to Venus - this is good news since he rules the chart and she rules the USA natal 6th house (health). It does indicate this is going to take some time, but also that the opportunity to Venus - that 6th house- comes through Saturn, still in Cappy at this point, but at that anaretic degree (although a sign he rules), so we might say exhausted and tossing a 'Hail Mary' play. We could look at this as a weak government (that anaretic Saturn) imposing its authority on the people's daily lives/health (that 6th house), too. Nothing is set into stone and both the USA and UK vac programs started during a volatile Eclipse season, so this is all very karmic (meaning the result of a cause already set into motion) and unpredictable.

Both charts - and this is still in play now - have that dissipating square to Neptune.

Which also makes it hard and we might say not possible to know for certain what results to expect. And both the UK and the USA have major challenges to their natal charts in the months and years ahead.

Keep in mind that every history book we have ever read was lived by people who DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. They had to just give things their best shot (no pun intended). And that, that 'living on'/doing the best they could do without knowing the outcome, is what PRODUCED the right outcome. Knowing the outcome ahead of time would have just screwed it all up.

We don't have a crystal ball, but astrology can be put to good use. The North Node - our guiding star - is in Gemini. The questions are more important than the answers. And sometimes with the North Node in Gemini our biggest screw-ups come because we ask the wrong questions.

I have become more and more interested in the asteroids/dwarf planets in the last couple years.

It is believed in astrological study, celestial bodies are discovered when we are ready to work with/know their energies and then synchronistically named. I have come to see them/their stories (told through their myths, by researching their placement in historical charts and by what is going on in the collective at the time they are discovered) as fragments of culture, held within our DNA - maybe a physical representation of that so-called junk DNA - so above, so below - or that 95% of the universe that is dark matter.

It is mega-important to note Chiron is active and activated in both charts - the wounded healer whose orbit takes him between Saturn and Uranus (Chiron in our natal chart shows the wounds that have a history longer than our lifetime). Saturn and Uranus are the co-rulers - Saturn/ancient, Uranus/modern, of the sign of Aquarius, whose age we are in/moving into.

Keep in mind, and this is VERY IMPORTANT that 2021 is going to be DEFINED by Saturn and Uranus's three-peating squares to each other AND Saturns three-peating sextiles to Chiron. This is not a coincidence.

Chiron travels - and his orbit is quite wonky - to the outer planet of Uranus (think - our higher hive mind, the memory of the ancestral traumas we carry that our lower mind has forgotten, outsider/alien territory/futuristic, non-dualistic energies) and then comes back into the fold and literally penetrates Saturn's orbit - which is our REALITY.

You can read the story of Chiron HERE

Astrologers have come to associate Chiron with very old woundings (multi-generational) that cannot be healed - we work with what is given to us/make the best of it that we can. A great example is a recovered/recovering alcoholic who becomes a counselor for other recovering alcoholics. Or maybe a better example is a closet drinker who effectively counsels recovering alcoholics - the healer who can heal others, but not herself. At our best we interrupt the wounding/let the light in. At our worst we continue/worsen the cycle. It's not so much about healing the wound as in learning to live with it in the highest possible way. And hopefully stop the continuation of the wounding into the next generation. On the one hand, when we are born we are literally created through our past lives into someone who lines up with this problem and on the other hand (and this is probably all the same hand) we are handed this problem ancestrally with our job being to 'figure this sh*t out'.

Chiron's own wound was healed through compassion/sacrifice when he gave up his own life to save Prometheus. Chiron was a great healer though, long before his own un-healable injury and considered the father of the Greek's medical art. I have seen his transits bring healing. And, of course, his story - the un-healable part - involved being pierced/shot with an arrow that has been laced with poison. And since we are talking about vaccinations, we will keep this in mind, too.

The USA natal Chiron is at 20 degrees Aries.

If we see this as our nation's wounding - natally, so likely of the unhealable variety - what does that tell us about the nature of the wound? Signs are divided into decans and 20 degrees Aries is the very end of Aries decan two. According to astrologer Marina at Dark Star Astrology (you can read the post HERE) "this decan is where Aries gets regal, for here we have the King, Princess, Dragon, etc. These people follow no leaders and work best as their own boss or taking command over others." Astrologer Austin Coppock calls Aries decan 2, "the Crown", and says, "applied magically, this decan has tremendous power. It is the power to generate the world of your choosing and to be its sovereign. It is the key to creating realities that do not obey the laws of the collective reality field in which they exist.” Interesting his use of the word "crown" since corona also means crown and "key" since Chiron is known as the key (and its symbol looks like a key), but of course we are always seeing what we are looking for :)

What also caught my eye with these charts was dwarf planet Sedna and I think here is the real story of what is happening.

We will talk about her in part III.

Less astro babble in this last one and we'll look at what this could all mean and some thoughts on where this might go ...

weekly astrology forecast | March 28th - April 3rd, 2022 - financial and relationship reality checks, changes needed before we can move forward, health news, a brave new lunar year

A BIG, busy week with all the inner planets active. Multiple Chiron aspects, so on a practical level, likely lots of health stuff/doctor's visits coming up for people.

We start the week with a Balsamic Moon - time to tie up loose ends, rest when we can, conserve our energy (we will need it next week!). The New Moon on Friday will be pushing us to START, but with Saturn straight ahead of us next week, it will be best to proceed with a bit of caution. Yes, we want to be initiating/taking action/setting goals/making plans, but we also need to see that REALITY CHECK dead straight ahead.

And, speaking of reality checks we have one this week, too, in terms of what we can afford.

Can we afford to buy this/pay this? Can we afford not to? Can we afford to stay in this relationship/group? Can we afford to leave?

With Venus meeting Saturn on Monday, these things are already in play.

MONDAY - Venus conjuncts Saturn and Juno, Neptune sextiles North Node

WEDNESDAY - Venus squares North Node

FRIDAY - New Moon in Aries, Sun conjunct Chiron

SATURDAY - Mercury conjunct Chiron, Sun conjunct Mercury

On MONDAY - Venus, at 21 degrees Aquarius meets Juno and Saturn while Neptune, at 23 degrees Pisces sextiles the North Node in Taurus and trines the South Node

The Venus/Juno/Saturn speaks of relationship commitments. Signing on the dotted line. Formalizing things. This isn't about losing ourselves here because in Aquarius, one plus one definitely makes two. This also speaks of the limits/rules we have to abide by to be part of a group situation. Is a bad deal better than no deal? Well, that's up to us (and this may not be a bad deal). This transit is good for a Venusian person to find a mentor, a Saturnian person to find a muse. For May/December relationships although this could be more about friendship or our goals than romance, although romances will be serious stuff.

(Juno was Ukraine in our Goddess Wars and Saturn was Russia in the invasion chart and here comes Venus - peace/balance/cooperation - prayers they can detach from their egos and iron something out with this)

Venus has been on the road to Saturn for months and, was answering to Saturn for months in Capricorn. We can't say we weren't warned! Financial road blocks/stop signs/reality checks. Saturn can show us where we don't have enough. Bring up old, ancestral survival fears. We might be feeling lonely within detached relationships or group situations or maybe like we have to earn love. This is a time for balancing what we need and what we have or what we need and what we want. Sometimes Venus/Saturn contacts can just makes us feel old or show us where we need to set firm boundaries/limits. Are we making too many compromises to stay safe, driven by fear of what we want to avoid, and not by what we actually want? What happens with this conjunction is going to depend on what we have changed/worked through with our financial situation and/or relationships since November when Venus first went into Capricorn and started answering to Saturn. If, we have made adjustments, necessary changes and/or figured out what we can live with, this conjunction now doesn't have to be a challenging thing. Venus and Saturn are old friends, can make this one work. If this does show up as a big thing (bill that can't be paid, sacrificial relationship, etc), that square to the Nodes tomorrow, tells us we have to make a CHANGE.

At the same time Neptune sextiling/trining the Nodes speaks of an easy release/drifting away from what is no longer needed or a slippery slide into the past/our current stuck-ness. Watch for too much nostalgia, incapacitating compassion/sacrifice, old addictions, compulsions, obsessions that sneak back in because they are just too damn familiar. To use the North Node sextile we have to be more conscious - this is an opportunistic move toward something more healthy, stable, NEW. Keep in mind Venus RULES the North Node, so this is probably all part of the same thing as the Venus/Juno/Saturn. Lean into Taurus - the NEW small/slow growth, gratitude, patience, making things more beautiful/comfortable/simple. The earth signs are telling us to be practical AND Neptune in Pisces pulls in our dreams, our ancestral benefits/gifts.

On WEDNESDAY - Venus, at 23 degrees Aquarius, squares the Nodes of Fate

Tension/frustration - a need to change/adjust. A crossroad/decision point. Relationship, financial, self-esteem, values issues - we are confronted by what isn't working/where the numbers don't add up. This is all part of yesterday's Venus/Saturn reality check. With the South Node in Scorpio we want to be releasing power struggles, debt, complicated third party situations. Something needs to change before we can move forward into something more simple, sustaining. Where is the NEW growth? Maybe here is where a change is FORCED and we are reacting. Something needs to change before we can get past this. Often it is our mindset. Maybe it is a situation/relationship. Squares motivate action - what are we going to do about this? Keep in mind, Venus RULES the North Node, so the square's tension is lessened as we move toward that Taurus house/theme.

On FRIDAY - the Moon meets the Sun, giving us this month's New Moon; our annual New Moon in Aries kicking off a new lunar year. The Sun/Moon meet Chiron.

Here is a new start, time to be brave. There is alot of exhausting/illusive energy out there, and we really need this New Moon to FOCUS us in on one new thing. This new start may come on the heels of some painful news, but will also bring healing as we take action. Keep in mind, this is Aries, so we are probably needing to take initiative here/do it ourselves. Note - the ruler of this Moon, Mars, is on a collision course with Saturn next week, so we will need to be practical, whatever is starting will need patience/hard work and we can run things into a ditch or a brick wall if we rush into something too fast and too hard. That Saturn up ahead can also speak of following rules, limits, pulling in an older person/expert. We are starting a new journey and Aries pushes the gas pedal, but we can see that policeman in the distance with his flashing lights and ticket book. Forewarned is forearmed. The Aries New Moon launches the New Lunar Year, so we can see we have some hurting, some healing, some starts and stops ahead of us. AND I am sure there will be much more to see when we unpack this chart. This will have its own BIG post later in the week and there is a bit more about it in the monthly HERE. See April 1st.

On SATURDAY - Mercury, at 12 degrees Aries meets up with Chiron while the Sun, at 13 degrees Aries meets Mercury

Words/conversation/information is sharp, pointed, maybe PAINFUL. We could be embarrassed/made to feel vulnerable. Health news comes in and we know what to do with it. This can be a good time to speak up about what hurts. The pain doesn't disappear when we give it a voice because Chironic wounds are old/ancestral and are not 'poof' gone, BUT dealing with them/sometimes learning to live with them and forgiving ourselves can help heal very old situations (we are doing nothing less than healing the wounded masculine here - there is a reason Chiron spends more time in Aries than any other sign). The good news with Aries is whatever this is, even with the spotlight on the situation, the world/life can move on quickly. Health situations can get fast answers. At the same time, and this is likely all part of the same thing, the Sun meets up with Mercury. So Mercury meets Chiron and then is illuminated by the Sun/blown out. This is information/a conversation coming to light, takes us back to late January, so something from then is culminating now. Pay attention, although with Chiron this isn't something we are likely to miss .... healing very old wounds is what this April is made for. Chin up, we've got this thing.

We can see this week looks somewhat challenging and most of the aspects are repeating the same themes. Luckily the Moons look pretty good until we get to a Pluto square on Saturday (power struggle, hard choice, difficult ending). We still have alot of Pisces - will need extra sleep, ways to relax, but this additional fire/Aries will keep us from dreaming our days away/feeling the collective pain too strongly and also fire us up to DO something with those dreams/pull our energy back to ourselves. There is alot of Aquarius energy, too, now, so a focus on the future, group situations, a need to take care of our nervous system and the multiple planets in Aries will help us initiate/be sharp/give us more energy, but also make everyone more easy to anger and more likely to act impulsively - so stay frosty.

Channel the Aqua chill as needed.
