Weekly Astrology Forecast | October 4th - October 10th, 2021 - HUGE week, New Moon in Libra, Daddy's home, here is the death/transformation that was postponed, reconnections, clarity

This is a HUGE/powerful week. I think you were hoping I would say, "this is a boring week, nothing will happen, go back to bed". Am I right?! No, that's just you Catherine, you say, we are ready for this you say. Hmm. We will see. I am not sure I am ready since I know I have to fight this week (more about that in the New Moon post), but here we go!

(also someone tell me if anyone else is living these weekly forecasts in advance like I am - does this week sound like last week to you?, has this "Age of Aquarius, life at the speed of light" gotten even the astro ahead of itself?)

We have a BIG New Moon in Libra, Venus changes signs, Mars and Mercury retrograde meet the Sun and each other AND both Saturn and Pluto station direct. WHEW!

Let's take a quick look at the week ahead and expect a  BIG New Moon post tomorrow where much of the next two weeks will be unpacked.

MONDAY - Sun trines Ceres

TUESDAY - Mercury inconjuncts Neptune

WEDNESDAY - New Moon in Libra, Pluto stations direct

THURSDAY - Venus enters Sagittarius

FRIDAY - Sun conjuncts Mars, Ceres stations retrograde

SATURDAY - Sun conjuncts Mercury, Mercury conjunct Mars

SUNDAY - Saturn stations direct

MONDAY - the Sun, at 12 degrees Libra trines Ceres in Gemini. This is smooth/balanced flow in our communications with other people. Nurturing is balanced/accepted if we keep things light/intellectual/try some humor. Give other people options.

TUESDAY - this is the second Mercury/Neptune inconjunct (the one where Mercury is retrograde so we are revising/reviewing, etc) - the first was back on September 18th. Here is where we get to re-do/re-think whatever communication/information/conversation drifted off course last month. What needs to be cleared up?

WEDNESDAY - The Libra Moon meets the Libra Sun at 13 degrees giving us this month's New Moon, our annual New Moon in Libra. EXACTLY conjunct Mars - fresh starts will be turbo-charged, passionate, angry. There is alot going on with this one - we'll talk about this in a BIG post next.

Pluto, at 24 degrees Capricorn, stations direct. Squaring Eris, yes, still, this can bring up uncomfortable truths. Here is the death that was postponed or the transformation of what has died. Mars and Pluto are the co-rulers of Scorpio and Venus, ruler of Libra and this New Moon is in Scorpio - so this station happening just hours after the New Moon is mucho important.

We'll talk about this in the New Moon post, too!

THURSDAY - Venus enters Sagittarius. About 24 hours after her BIG New Moon, Venus rises from murky Scorpio into 'sky's the limit' Sagittarius.

Sagittarius Suns and Ascendants (1st house cusps) get more attractive now - both able to attract what they want/need and are easier on the eye. All of us get a visit from Venus in our Sagittarius houses (what house or houses carry Venus energy in your natal chart?) and those houses get more magnetic.

Sagittarius is the sign of the archer. If we were archers - we would gather our energy. We would pull back our bow. We would take aim. We would hold our bow "in tension". This holding position is important to landing our arrow where we intend it to go - to hit our target (of course, if we are in some kind of life and death battle with that arrow then I guess we just let it fly and hope for the best, but most situations we are facing are not quite so dire)

The same way an archer's "in tension" allows her arrow to hit her mark, our own "intentions" release our energy where we need it to go. Intentions are not wishes; they are not hopes - wanting to do something is 180 degrees from intending to do it. Set your New Moon intentions this month - they will be uber powerful.

Intention releases the potential that makes things happen.

So, we have Venus (love, women, beauty, what we value, our self esteem, money) moving into the sign of "potential".

Experience is more valuable than stuff with Sagittarius. Money (Venus) spent on experiences/travel will be well spent. Money (Venus) spent on other Sagittarius themes - higher education, legal issues, weddings, politics - will probably pay off, too, in the experiences we get back.

The search we began when Venus dove into Scorpio continues. But now instead of looking at the stuff that is underneath, the underpinnings none of us really want to look at, she looks way out into the horizon at the stuff we might one day meet up with. Sagittarius is the sign of faith. Do we have faith that better days are ahead for us? This faith stuff is risky and Sagittarians have been known to fall on their ass and even off a cliff now and then. But is there really any alternative to not trying? This is the season of faith and potential for all Venus ruled themes - love, money, women, beauty, self-esteem, our values.

How are we going to use this energy? Remember the archer. The archer stays focused and holds herself "in tension" through all the noise. We have our bow drawn and we are focused on the target, but suddenly the dog barks, the phone rings, the guy next door starts blasting Adele and you know we have to stop and listen to that.

(and sometimes this noise can last a while and sometimes life sends us noise to test our intentions and see how badly we want something or sometimes the noise could be there to delay us because there is something better for us later or other people's arrows need to line up with ours)

Because once that arrow is released, it is released. There is no grabbing it midair and straightening that baby out (unless you have some super power that I would be totally jealous to find out about).

We have to have faith enough to release the arrow anyway. Bulls-eyes can be highly over-rated. Sometimes it's the missed targets (did you know the word "sin" was originally an archery term that meant - "to miss the mark") that lead to the best adventures!

Venus is going to cross over the South Node (a portal to past lives/old common or karmic patterns), pulling people from our past (or new people with similar energy patterns to those from our past), people and situations from the past connected with our money and self-esteem into our NOW. In Sagittarius, this can bring opportunity, luck, give us hope (depending on what we are carrying in early Sagittarius) or can bring karmic endings/bills coming due/the need to let go.

Keep in mind this aspect can also slide us right into repetition. There is already a groove here which is the reason this might all feel so comfortable. Is this something/someone still a good fit or are we just too comfortable here for our own good? Mercury is retrograde in Libra's sign, so this will likely ravel/unravel itself as we move through the days and weeks ahead.

FRIDAY/SATURDAY - Sun meets Mars, Sun Meets Mercury, Mercury meets Mars - this is all happening within 15-16 degrees Libra, so will be felt strongest by people with planets points near this range (or the other cardinal signs by squares and oppositions).

Mars starts a new cycle with the Sun - this is passion/energy, new goals. In the sign of Libra, this shines a light on our relationships/our need for balance and fairness. Keep in mind Mars in Libra can bring the need for confrontation just so some steam can get blown off and now he is not only in the sign of his detriment, but he is being blown out by the Sun. Then Mercury comes in to pick up the new Mars solar story. A light is thrown on information/communication. This is the part of the Mercury retrograde cycle where we get some clarity/HERE is what this retrograde is all about. Then Mercury meets Mars. Clarity/action - just keep in mind Mercury is still retrograde, so we are still revising/reviewing, doing the "re's". It's probably not the time for big moves just yet. Mars in Libra will be squaring Pluto on October 22, so there could be some need now (in preparation) to take action to protect/preserve something we want to keep - maybe something structural, stabilizing or career related, before we get to that square.

SUNDAY - Saturn stations direct at 6 degrees Aquarius. His retrograde "review" wraps up. He will move direct until he gets to 25 degrees Aquarius next April when he stations retrograde again and backtracks to 18 degrees.

For people with planets and points between 6 and 13 degrees Aquarius (and the other fixed signs, which will get squares and oppositions) Saturn will make his third pass (hang in there!) over those spaces during the next few weeks and months.

There are a few things that will happen now.

Saturn's direct motion can release pent up pressure in our Aquarius house allowing us to make solid moves toward our goals and ambitions (and our natal Aquarius house theme).

It could have felt, during his retrograde, that we were getting further away from our goals or where we want to be in this area of our life. Maybe obligations weighed heavily. Walls and limitations had to be faced. Corners we had previously cut were noted to be missing.

The bills came due. Maybe we learned to say, "no". Maybe we learned to say "yes" to something we had been avoiding. Saturn always gives rewards, but they are Saturnian rewards - coming after we've put in the time and hard work to build something that lasts. And yes, the thing that lasts IS the reward!

Our long range goals that have been stuck can start to move forward now.

With Saturn (father time) direct - daddy's home! - greater external structure is brought into our lives.

This can feel supportive and rewarding or like a wall/limit/roadblock depending on how we relate to Saturn natally and what we have been doing during his retrograde.

Dad's homeHave we been goofing off? Staying out late? Running up the electric bill? Worn out his favorite chair or left his tools out in the rain to rust?

Karmic books get balanced. Remember, karma isn't about punishment. It is simply cause and effect - we are just being served what we ordered. Most of us do alot of this "ordering" unconsciously.

If we don't like what we are being served - we can choose to do things differently today. Right now. This minute. The wheel keeps spinning! Multiple planets station and change signs this week and we have a New Moon - change is happening! Keep in mind Mercury is still retrograde and Saturn and Pluto are moving VERY slowly, so progress could be slow for awhile. We might continue to feel the ramifications of 'dug in' situations.

xo all - back with that New Moon post! Please excuse any typos - I can proof read three times and still find them these days ...

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of November 13th - expanding desires, getting lucky, possible confusion, fresh starts that require a total commitment, danger will robinson

s by marina kochetyga

This is a big LOVE and MONEY week with Venus meeting up with Jupiter (in Scorpio) at the beginning of the week and the BIG New Moon in Scorpio at the end of the week!

On Monday, Venus catches with Jupiter (luck, expansion) in Scorpio. I think we should be able to see them in the early morning sky, weather permitting, at about 5:30 AM EST (google for your local area).

This energy will AMPLIFY what we want.

Do we really want it? YES, we really, really do.

Venus themes (PLUS the theme of your natal Scorpio house) of love, money, our values and self-esteem will be given a boost. These two will be within orb of each other for the rest of the month. This is GOOD energy. Potentially GREAT energy!

The rest of Monday is a bit of a mixed bag.

We might wake up on the wrong side of the bed with the Moon (in Virgo) squaring Saturn. Is it Monday already? The Moon will go void (10:45 AM EST) and stay that way until she moves into "can't we all just get along" Libra at 6:26 PM EST. Our best bet - don't start anything new or send anything out into the world we want 'something to come of' during the Moon's void.

Mercury (in Sagittarius) will be squaring Neptune (in Pisces) potentially fogging up communications, information or our thinking. Not the best time to sign on the dotted line. We could be a bit unrealistic. Give the facts another go-over.

Coming at the same time as the Venus/Jupiter conjunction this square isn't a stop sign, but it is a flashing yellow light. Proceed with caution. Double check a few things.

The Venus/Jupiter luck/expansion conjunction as well as the New Moon on Friday will be all about our natal Scorpio houses. Here is a rundown by sign - if you know your ascendant sign check that, too:

ARIES - expansion/new beginnings via 'other people's money', loans, debts, inheritances, partner's income, shared resources, intimacy
TAURUS - expansion/new beginnings within your partnership, equal relationships
GEMINI - expansion/new beginnings with your health, day-to-day work, routine, pets
CANCER - expansion/new beginnings via creativity, romance, children, fun
LEO - expansion/new beginnings via home, family, domestic issues
VIRGO - expansion/new beginnings via communications, information, ideas, plans, sibling situations
LIBRA - expansion/new beginnings via your personal resources, income, values, self-esteem
SCORPIO - expansion/new beginnings via any of the above or below, you could be in the right place at the right time Scorpio - this is YOUR connection to Jupiter and YOUR New Moon!
SAGITTARIUS - expansion/new beginnings through a hidden/background desire/dream taking off, help from behind the scenes, intuition
CAPRICORN - expansion/new beginnings through groups, the internet, your public image, a new friendship
AQUARIUS - expansion/new beginnings with career, public image, relationship with authority
PISCES - expansion/new beginnings with something/someone foreign, travel, education, wedding, legal issues, politics, publishing

On TUESDAY, the Moon in Libra will sextile (opportunity) Mercury (in Sagittarius) - this is good energy to be communicating/socializing with other people. We could have some new ideas now or new, opportunistic information could come in. This is good energy for business and personal relationships and interactions. In the P.M. Mars will be conjuncting the same Libran Moon pushing us to take action or deal with other people's actions. This energy could make us (and other people)  - determined to get something started/moving, feeling brave, feeling passionate or just feeling pissed off.

On WEDNESDAY, the Moon in Libra will square Pluto, oppose Uranus and sextile Saturn before going void at 7:50PM EST. Pluto could have us pushing, maybe dealing with power struggles, control issues. Uranus could offer up a surprise, attract us toward something unusual or just deliver us restless legs (or restless something else). The opportunity today comes with Saturn - we could be making a commitment or solidifying something now. Be responsible. Do the right thing.

On THURSDAY, we have a trine (brakes off) between Neptune and Venus and the Sun and Chiron. Excellent energy to get a reboot/healing through art and meditation and time spent in nature. Brakes are removed through forgiveness, compassion and acceptance now. We'll talk about this stuff in greater detail in the dailies. This will likely relate to whatever the week's Jupiter/Venus conjunction is kicking up. The Moon will have moved into Scorpio favoring research, investigation, financial issues, intimacy issues, death, rebirth and reproduction.

Late FRIDAY into SATURDAY we have a BIG New Moon in Scorpio. I will do a post. This gives our Jupiter in Scorpio year-long theme real OOMPH and demands our total commitment to anything kicked off now. The Moon will inconjunct Uranus (in Aries) so there could be something out-of-the-blue here or maybe the inconjunct gives whatever is happening a greater impact than we expected. The Moon will be trining Chiron. There is something uncomfortable here even if we are getting what we want.

On SATURDAY and SUNDAY, we have a potentially violent square between Mars (in Libra) and Pluto (in Capricorn). This could also have a connection to the New Moon. This is about power struggles and possible confrontations.

Keep a cool head. Avoid dangerous situations. This isn't such great energy for the collective. Hopefully we are able to avoid damage here.

With Mars in Libra this could be about a partner/ally/enemy situation involving (Pluto) financial, death, divorce, reproduction, karma, transformation, sex, other people's resources in a Capricorn setting - something that rocks our 'structure', established authority, etc.

This is very ambitious energy. People will be looking to get ahead and come out on top. The word "ruthless" about sums it up. If this is connected to the expansion of that thing we really, really want - I don't want to think about what we will do to get it!

Stay honest. Keep things above board.

This energy CAN be used to move a mighty big mountain. If we can do it without making any enemies, they will not prove so easy to dispense with later, so much the better.

recent excitements by kerem seker
The Moon conjuncts the Sun tonight at 8 degrees in balanced and beautiful Libra!

This closes out a very long and challenging Eclipse cycle.

This is a nice fresh start - particularly for our relationships. After weeks of drama and months of backtracking we finally have a New Moon with a bit less baggage.

With both the Sun and Moon conjunct Jupiter now - there is optimism and no small amount of 'expansion potential' attached to this one.

This would be a great time to study something new or to publish something. It would be a great time to travel somewhere or connect with someone new at a distance.

It would be a great time to get married (don't just grab some random guy and head to Vegas, of course, because you will probably be stuck with him for a long time).

It's an excellent time to take something, especially something that puts us in relationship with others, to the next level.

If you have been waiting for an "all systems go" you can stop waiting!

(and remember, if it felt like someone just yelled "ready or not here I come" and you aren't ready when I said this - you just need to take a step in a direction you want to go, you don't have to run off and join the circus this weekend)

Mars is in Capricorn and it is good to have him back on solid ground, even if he is not the most happy camper at a New Moon in Libra. He wants faster and bigger decisions than Libra likes to make, since Libra takes into consideration both sides and other people. His energy will be helpful now if an important or quick decision is needed.

Decisions can be challenging during Libra season. That doesn't mean we get to take a pass and not make them though (if we can comfortably wait until Mercury is out of shadow, we can go ahead and wait a week, but there is probably nothing to be gained by waiting). We can use this energy or it can use us. We can use the Sun and Moon in Libra to weigh decisions and take other people into consideration emotionally and we can use Mars in Capricorn to choose what is best for us and move forward decisively. Or the energy can use us - we can feel like we must do something but be unable to decide what to do. If that happens we can still use that North Node Virgo to do what is right in front of us.

After months of Saturn square Neptune putting up road blocks, this Moon has a nice sextile to Saturn promising advancement and recognition for hard work and stability and longevity for projects/relationships started now.

After all the self improvement projects we waded through in Virgo, Libra is the time we bring other people into the mix. We compromise. We negotiate. We collaborate. We make alliances. We make commitments.

With the Sun and Moon squaring a studious and ambitious Capricornian Mars there is some work ahead, a need to be responsible and a need to dress the part.

There could be something now about justice or about being judged or maybe we need to pass a final judgement on something we have been back and forth with or maybe a judgement needs to be released.

The downside - there is always the potential with Jupiter so close-by to go over-board; to think something is bigger or better than it is. Keep this in mind. If something happens that brings the word 'over' into your head or to your ears or draws it from your own lips then pay attention.

(for example if you start thinking you mustn't over-promise, or over-do it, or over-spend, or over-commit - you probably shouldn't - dial it back a bit)

Also don't start something just to start some thing, if you know what I mean. You'll just end up not finishing and feel like you missed out or screwed up.

Today, we have this need for a fresh start that will give us more balance (more beauty, more love - think Venus ruled Libra here) in some area of our life and it is interacting with other people's fresh starts, too.

This Moon opens up all kinds of new opportunities involving  partners - both romantic and business, agents, clients, specialists and competitors - think "equals" over the next couple weeks. Who/what do we want to partner with?

It is also excellent re-balancing energy. What house holds 6-10 degrees Libra in our natal chart? This is our annual opportunity to restore balance, peace and harmony here. Also keep in mind that to stay in balance with something new coming in, something already in might have to go. Hasta la vista baby.

Libra's ruler Venus (in Scorpio) will trine (brakes off) a retrograde Neptune in Pisces. Maybe some dream really can come true.

Now a New Moon is only a first step, a step taken in the dark, but there is real potential here for something to grow from this one over the next six months, so don't miss it. Set your intentions (within the next 2 days) and take some new action (within the next 2 weeks).

Libra is ruled by Venus. She is the ethereal force of love, attraction, kindred spirits, beauty and our aesthetic sensitivity.

(the opposite of aesthetic is anesthetic - there's a reason all our senses spring to life in autumn and spring - she also rules Taurus!)

She brings things and us into relationship.

(it was during the Libra Sun that our ancestors, finished with Virgo's harvest, settled back into their homes and local communities - back into balance with each other)

Venus attracts. The stuff we are attracted to are vital clues to our job here on planet Earth.

Libra rules marriage, negotiations, teamwork, harmony, sociability and diplomacy. It is an excellent time to have the best energetic support for new beginnings in these areas. Since the New Moon is late tonight and I like to wait a couple days to see what comes up for me to work with and give the Moon a little time to grow - I am going to do this on Sunday night.

MONTHLY AFFIRMATION TIPS:
Get grounded - we have moved from an earth sign into air so this is important - always make affirmations from a  positive place (positive meaning certain).

It is a good idea, since the New Moon is literally a blank sheet, to work in a clean, uncluttered space and maybe right after a bath or shower. Definitely when you are alone.

We are planting seeds in the dark here - think about the ultimate seed in the dark planting - making a baby. What would you do then? Do that (yes, maybe even that, Venus is in Scorpio it can't hurt - ha!)

I find affirmations are most effective if I speak less on New Moon days so my words will hold more weight when I need them to. I usually burn a white candle to help me focus and thin the veils between me and me. It also helps to channel ancestral energy a bit since I am always thinking as I move my story forward, their story moves forward with me.

Write your affirmations down by hand in cursive, we want the letters all connecting and flowing together. Speak the words out loud.

I used to write my affirmations on strips of paper and put them into a bowl of rice so I could mix them around every now and then with my fingers if things got stagnant. Last year I decided to burn them. I have written them on rocks and buried them.

This month, I'm doing something I did a few weeks ago to line up with a specific thing that happened pretty effortlessly afterward -

I'm going to write my affirmations

(astrologer Jan Spiller recommends writing 10, but I have found myself stretching to do that or writing the same things every month which feels silly, so I have worked my way down to 3 which feels like a powerful number to me)

on my chalkboard while burning a white candle - when the candle burns out, all by itself - don't burn your house down - I erase the words first and then clean the blackboard with water.

Some people store them until the corresponding Full Moon (in this case during Aries season) and burn them then. Do what feels right.

I don't think it's terribly important what we do with our writings as long as we are not pulling them out and checking on them all the time. Setting intentions is like baking a cake - checking on how things are going just slows things down.

We are not handing a honey do list to the universe! We are lining up with the universal energies of creation here.

And I wouldn't be sharing them with other people, which also feels like it dilutes the process or pulls them into our story. I was writing them on my blog for a few months, as examples for people, and that definitely wasn't helpful.

Then - and this is the important part - release your attention from your words knowing your intention is known.

Know these things are already yours. xo all

the meaning of the astrology of the New Moon in Aries | March 21, 2023 - ain't no turning back now ....

If you are here, alive on this planet right now, and I assume you are if you are reading this, although some days I wonder about all of us :) well, we are IN IT.

Things are LIT as the kids say. Or does everyone say this now? I need to keep up.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1:22PM EDT the Aries Moon meets up with the Aries Sun at 0 degrees launching a new lunar month and year. This is impulsive, fiery energy.

Years ago I heard an astrologer say that for Aries, life is something like, "Ready. FIRE! Aim.".  And, yes, this is what we need to be cautious of here, BUT not so cautious that we don't make a move, take a risk/the call/a chance.

Aries says speak up, do something, it's GO TIME, ready or not.

Let's unpack the chart!

The New Moon meets the Sun at 0 degrees Aries. The Moon opposes a retrograde Ceres in Libra EXACT. The Moon sextiles Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon is inconjunct Saturn in Pisces. The Moon squares Mars - ruler of Aries and ruler of this lunation. Mars is conjunct asteroid Chaos EXACT. Mars squares Ceres. Mars trines Saturn (applying) and squares Neptune (separating). Venus is conjunct the North Node in Taurus and also conjunct Juno EXACT. Jupiter is inconjunct Uranus EXACT.

The Moon meets the Sun at 0 degrees Aries. We are starting from the very beginning with something. 0 degrees Aries is called an Aries point - first degree of a cardinal sign. Our collective attention is together, so often this means big things are happening in the world. An Aries point New Moon pretty much assures collective events will be important.

As with all New Moons, the skies are dark. The seed goes into the ground. The sperm goes into the egg. The start is in the dark. We can't see what is happening/where this is going. In fiery Aries, starts can be fast, impulsive, passionate. Things can come up quickly and we are going to WANT TO RESPOND. What are you feeling fired up about? Head in that direction. With the Sun and Moon together our life force/energy and our emotions are on the same page. Our conscious and unconscious in the same space/portal. Conjunct planets initiate new beginnings. In Aries, it is no less than our very IDENTITY that is impacted - we are BECOMING SOMEONE NEW.

The New Moon opposes Ceres retrograde in Libra. This is our needs/wants vs those of our partners.

Since this is exact here we are definitely needing to deal with this with whatever is starting. Oppositions can bring endings/culminations. For something to start, something else needs to end. This might speak of a relationship ending or the need to correct some kind of imbalance in our life. With Ceres here, this could be about a nurturing or caregiver situation, child/parent for example, and something NEW comes along that requires us to rethink/re-examine/re-prioritize the care we are putting into someone/something, so we can put more care into this NEW thing or ourselves.

Since Ceres rules the seasons of our life and things outside our control, this might be about a "change of life" situation that closes one door, our foot in the door will only get crushed - it's closing -  and then the New Moon opens another.

(I know about this crushed thing from experience. I was in Florida for a few days last week. I will tell you guys all about it in a later post. I was getting dropped off at the airport and I went to stop the car door from closing, I think, wth I was doing is kind of unclear at this point, but I was standing outside the car with my hand on the door.  I managed to totally close the door on my thumb. The door was closed flush with the car and my thumb was in the door. Crushed. I had to open the door with my other hand and I was thinking OMG I just broke/crushed my thumb, MY RIGHT THUMB, and my trip is canceled. But, luckily for me, and my right thumb, they must make these car doors with more cushioning these days because it wasn't broken. It was flattened, then swollen, cut up and throbbing, of course and  I had to sneak some contraband ice - although it's a solid not a liquid anyway, or that was what I was going to say if caught - onto the plane and then proceeded to ice it for about a steady 24 hours. It's still a little wonky and swollen, but doesn't hurt and will be ok - my life flashed before my eyes though .... maybe I have a strong right thumb from holding cans of propane to braze, like I think, or maybe, as hubs says, I had my hand in exactly the best spot, if there is a best spot for such thing, where the door curves, to prevent total demolition. Either way that was number 1 of about 100 surprising things from my trip, I will tell you guys about :)

The New Moon's sextile (creative opportunity) to Pluto catches Saturn, ruler of Pluto right now, at the mid-point. With Saturn freshly minted in Pisces and in this awkwardness with the New Moon, the materialization of solid things will not be a straight line. But, since he rules that sextile I am thinking some roadblocks/limits will end up being a 'blessing in disguise' kind of thing. Note this aspect is separating/has somehow already happened.

Venus and Juno are tightly conjunct and have just passed over the North Node and opposed the South Node.

THIS is the future. Right here. Right NOW. The one we have attracted by focusing on what we TRULY VALUE (or not). By being slow and steady (or not). By seeking moderation and quality (or not). By leaning into something more simple and stable (or not). By having mutual respect and dignity within our relationships (or not).

Keep in mind conjunctions start new chapters which, of course, unfold from the preceding chapter. Note Juno is retrograde and about to back into Virgo when she will be all about fixing the relationship stuff that isn't working (or ultimately forgetting/releasing what isn't fixable as she opposes Saturn at some point not too far from now).

Venus/Juno are opposing the South Node. Oppositions are endings and the opposition to the South Node is kind of echoing Ceres opposition to the New Moon. Something needs to be released here to free us up.

Scorpian "somethings" can be about complicated entanglements, third party situations, debt, compulsions, manipulations - a loss of power in some area of life might be expected/need to happen in order for us to focus on the new seeds in the ground, which, keep in mind, we can't really even see yet with these dark skies, so might not even seem worth it at this point. The stars say otherwise.

Mars has recently started covering new degrees in Gemini, the sign he has been back-and-forth in since August. This is important to notice. Also he is in a mutual reception - for a VERY BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME THAT INCLUDES THIS NEW MOON ACTIVATION - with Mercury in Aries. This is good news. Mars - as us - is covering new ground and can get to Aries (back to himself) through Mercury. Mercurian pathways include our thinking, ideas, conversations, information, tech, siblings, transportation. This is a better position than Mars, as us, was in even a week ago, so keep that in mind, We aren't pulling the Mars crap we have been dealing with FOR MONTHS into this New Moon fresh start.

Mars is in a complicated position though and he rules this New Moon.

He is still out-of-bounds/not playing by the Sun's rules. This might sound like a good thing if you are feeling somewhat rebellious, but it usually isn't. He forms a T-Square with the New Moon/Sun, although out of sign and it will never perfect, so it's aggravating and we can't get past it, because it's not really even there. We might in some way, and this isn't always a bad thing, feel pushed into both the fiery fresh start in Aries and the Libran ending/conclusion. His smooth and stabilizing trine to Saturn does perfect and will reach perfection (exactness) on March 30th. This is our actions harmonizing with the rules/authority/structure, or our dreams, and will be Cancer/Pisces so maybe more emotionally and intuitively stabilizing than rock solid, but that's ok. It will feel good.

Mars is also EXACTLY conjunct asteroid Chaos.

Yes, I know, so, that doesn't sound good and is kind of re-emphasizing Mars being out of bound and the fact Pluto is about to go into Aquarius and start answering to chaotic Uranus. Chaos would likely indicate a period of doubt, overwhelm and confusion. This New Moon event catalyzing chaos isn't really surprising with everything going on in the world right now.

For us, personally, anytime we have an Aries New Moon, because Aries is the first sign and doesn't know what it doesn't know - we are going to have to deal with some chaos. We are going to need to be brave, and Aries IS brave, so there we go. We might want to turn around and go backward, but with so many planets about to change signs within just a couple days there is no way this is going to work - except maybe the Ceres/Libra relationship/nurturing/change of life thing - and even that we may have to just throw up our hands at some point.

There is no point looking backward because there is nothing back there for us anymore. This will likely be brought home to us over the next month.

Mars sits at 28 degrees Gemini during the New Moon which is the home of fixed star Polaris. Polaris is also called the North Star (if you were standing at the North Pole it would be directly over your head) and is located at the tip of the tail of the small bear and has been used as a navigational star for centuries. This is probably the star we were wishing upon as children, so I like to think it carries the energy of millions of childhood wishes (one of the reasons I named my lockets, Polarity).

Let's think of it like that ...

To bottom line this New Moon in Aries - we get the energy for a fiery, bold, brave NEW START likely focused on ourselves. We are at the very, very beginning of something. We can't see where this going and things will be subject to change. Chaos is likely. We don't know what we don't know, so we need to stay flexible. If we are still exhausted from all the Pisces we have been dealing with, I know I am, well, we don't have to run a marathon here and all this Aries is designed to WAKE US UP - ie motivate us/aggravate us/spur us to action anyway.

The price of admission, yes, there is a cover charge to open this new door, is the ending of an imbalanced nurturing situation or relationship that needs to culminate or be scaled back to allow this New Moon energy the fertile ground it needs to flourish (Ceres back into Virgo will help us fix it or forget it).

Keep in mind - there is an unusual and potent second New Moon in Aries - which is an Eclipse - in about a month, so there are some 'second chance' vibes in play, although the world is going to be a very different place by then, being that Pluto will have changed signs for the first time since 2008 and Mars, ruler of this lunation, will have moved on, too.

What are you going to do proactively with this energy?

Start with your affirmations. They will help you get clear about what you want/what you need to do. I'm thinking somewhere around 4PM EDT on the 22nd as the Moon applies to her conjunction with Jupiter and sextile to Mars. The morning of the 23rd is good, too.

If we chart the course of the Moon in Aries we will see the Moon meets the Sun, then Mercury, then Chiron, then Jupiter, then goes void off a sextile to Mars (remember that square we start with to Mars is out-of-sign), so as we move through the New Moon cycle we move into that creative opportunity/sextile with Mars.

Since the Sun and Moon are together we can chart this New Moon through the Sun, too. The Moon does everything within a couple days and then the Sun : meets the Moon on March 21st (New Moon), the Sun won't catch up with Mercury because Mercury is FLYING (we will be, too), meets Chiron on April 5th (light on a wound/vulnerability), meets Jupiter on APRIL 11th (Venus will also be trining Pluto this day, mark your calendars, this is about luck, faith, love, power), the Sun won't sextile Mars because Mars will also have moved on. So the solar story from this New Moon ends with that conjunction with Jupiter. Sun/Jupiter is hopeful, lucky, expansive energy.

So we have a good closing aspect for the Moon and a good closing aspect for the Sun - this is always a good sign and, I think, a good place for me to stop :)

New Moon Affirmations

This New Moon is an excellent time for energetic support to make changes with things ruled by Aries (and your natal/progressed Aries house themes) - the head (headaches, acne, eyes, brain), the overall physical self, exploration, initiative, courage, leadership, strength, stubbornness, impulsiveness, temper tantrums, anger, stress from inaction/worry - what do we need more of in our lives, what are we needing to release.

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a calm, centered frame of mind - always make affirmations from a  positive space (meaning both certain and upbeat) - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud. With a fire New Moon maybe write your affirmations on strips of paper and burn them. Now release your attention from these things knowing that your intention is known

Know these things are already yours

Back with the Pluto into Aquarius world changes post I have been procrastinating .. oh my

New Moon in Libra - a grand cross call to action this month

Sullivan is rocking his Libra mommy's world right now
I have been AWOL planning and throwing a baby shower (yes, I threw the shower and not the actual baby) and hosting family in from Oregon!

Anyone who reads astrologer Susan Miller knows she has been predicting a bumpy October for most people.

This is not your typical New Moon because it is going to not only activate the Uranus/Pluto square but form what is called a Grand Cross.

This Grand Cross is where the action amps up big time and it plays out with the New Moon and Sun together in Libra on one corner of the Cross - Uranus opposite in the sign of Aries on another point of the Cross - Pluto squaring up in Capricorn on the third point of the Cross - and Jupiter in Cancer sitting the fourth point of the Cross.

Grand Cross configurations want something to change, move forward, rev up, and with New Moon energy behind the cross we are in for a real call to action

(we can see this all being played out in Washington right now with healthcare and Etsy with Chad's announcement this week and in our own lives).

If it feels like some kind of stability is ending for you, remember that stability is not the experience we are here for (we still want to be grounded though). The ego seeks to keep us safe (that's the ego's main job after all) which doesn't sound like a bad thing until you think of the toddler who would never take her first step if the ego had its way. On the one side of the coin, there is no inherent safety now for any of us (there never has been, the danger was just hidden from our view before) - on the other hand, nothing real can be threatened, so anything that looks like it is being threatened isn't real anyway.

Pluto (Capricorn, the authority) seeks power, Uranus (Aries, the warrior) seeks freedom - both are stubborn, tenacious cardinal signs that stand their ground and make things happen. When Pluto moved into Capricorn in 2008, our financial system crashed - when Uranus entered Aries in 2010, and then moved to within a few degrees of its square to Pluto revolutionary movements began to spread throughout the world.

Personally right now we may be reacting to something new happening or steering our ship into new waters ourselves (always better to grab the wheel - not to try and turn the boat around but to best avoid the rocky shore).

The New Moon gives us a full 2 weeks to make something happen or deal with what happens and it really culminates 6 months from now with the Libra full moon.

We also have mercury about to go retrograde so it's a good time to follow this new moon to its completion this month and wrap stuff up before the 21st. For most people, even though this is a new moon, it might be better to hold off and start new things in November when the new moon isn't followed by a retrograde (especially if you are a fixed sign person - I'm talking to you: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius).

I'll get back to all of this tomorrow (our new moon affirmation stuff as we makers journey through Libra and some stuff on Etsy's announcement), but just wanted to post this now.

Happy Thursday all - baby shower pics are coming! xo

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of September 26th - making connections, getting lucky, Mars into Capricorn, Pluto goes direct and New Moon in Libra!

soft the skin by witchie miranda

On MONDAY -we kick off the week with the Sun conjunct benevolent Jupiter in benevolent Libra. Astrologer Susan Miller called yesterday and today "the luckiest days of the year". And it is unquestionably an optimistic pairing, especially in Libra, offering us luck and expansion, within our natal Libra houses, and within our relationships.

This is an excellent time to make connections with other people - it's likely to be who we know and not what we know that opens doors now (and, with Jupiter in Libra, through October 10, 2017). This energy will move us into the New Moon in Libra on Saturday which is more good news for fresh beginnings to be lucky and fortunate.

The only real downside to Jupiter, especially when connecting with the Sun's spotlight, is to be cautious of anything that feelings too "over the top" since Jupiter, although larger than all the other planets combined, is also made entirely of gases - it's hard to know if there is solid ground underneath all the hoopla.

We want to avoid over-reaching, over-estimating, over-doing, over-indulging, over-dramatizing, over-confidence and over-spending. This doesn't mean we can't do these things without the 'over', of course - it is the luckiest time of the year according to some astrologers - just be wise and keep one foot on the ground!

Venus (ruler of Libra) is in Scorpio so intense and a bit moody. Jupiter and the Sun conjunct in Libra shines a light of us evaluating our relationships, tweaking things a little or a lot. A 12 year Jupiter cycle ends or changes. Partnerships adjust this week.

Also on MONDAY, Pluto, after five months retrograde, stations direct at 14 degrees Capricorn. We now have the next seven months to push forward with stuff in our Capricorn houses and with the stuff that Pluto rules - other people's money ie loans, debt, inheritance, spouse's income, joint finances, bankruptcy, insurance, taxes, alimony, child support, investments, commissions, our will, royalties, reproduction, sex, surgery, death, birth and re-birth.

With Pluto moving direct - the truth of a situation could be revealed or the truth about an authority figure. Take health issues that crop up now seriously.

Again this week (exact yesterday), we have Eris (angry feminine, angry underdog, revenge, discord, rivalry, goddess of war) conjunct Uranus (the unexpected, rebellion, genius) for the 2nd of 3 times (since her discovery is 2005).

Eris could be a planet, but instead of naming Ceres and Eris planets, astronomers decided to demote Pluto (Eris is larger than Pluto) and call all three of them 'dwarf planets' (and we now have two more - Haumea and Makemake).

It's interesting that after Ceres (mother, nurturing) was dissed for 200 years by not making the official classification of planet, we discovered Eris; the angry underdog.

The story of Eris always reminds me a bit of Angelina Jolie's vengeful fairy Maleficent, so it seems appropriate she would make an unexpected, rebellious (and probably pissed off) move with this energy. There are always archetypal things in the collective world when the outer planets make connections (the bigger things now are terrorism, anger at police shootings, Hillary Clinton's story). And there are spaces in our individual lives that this energy works through (this is happening in the last third of our Aries house).

Eris seduces us wherever we carry the energy of that girl who didn't get invited to the prom, the wounded underdog or where we need to win at any and all costs

(and yes, this is the stuff we heal the wound and the world by seeing, feeling and releasing - we'll talk about this again).

As astrologer Steven Forrest writes:

Would I fight to protect myself or those whom I love? Of course. You probably would too.

But would I poison the water in order to keep the price of gasoline down?

Would I live in a big house if it meant that someone else had to live in a packing crate?

And while we are at it, let’s add some urgency to that last point. Say that the person living in the packing crate held three more playing cards: hopelessness, hatred, and a gun.

Monday looks like more of a mixed bag to me than the luckiest day of the year, but certainly an optimistic focus will head us in an optimistic direction! This energy is totally helped along by the Moon in Leo - creativity, romance, children, getting lucky, games, sports and fun.

On TUESDAY, the Moon is void during work hours. This is great energy to get a lot of work done, but not so great to launch something unless you want 'nothing to come of it' (since the Moon is not making any aspects to any planets). The Moon moves into Virgo Tuesday night.

Mars finally leaves Sagittarius - do I hear a Hallelujah! and moves into Capricorn - a space he is uber focused and effective. Check your natal if you don't know your Capricorn house - with Pluto's direct station and Mars transit - it is waking up big time now. In addition to whatever your Capricorn house deals with we will be more focused on ambition, responsibility and dealing with authority figures and our own authority. Just like that mountain goat (Capricorn) we will be climbing that mountain! Much progress can happen here.

It won't be all smooth sailing, Mars is the God of war after all and challenges to authority will be more heated and passionate now. And he is 'out of bounds' until the end of October, so not playing by the rules. Still, I'm already feeling some renewed determination, maybe you are, too!

WEDNESDAY'S Virgo Moon will have us dealing with paperwork, organization, pets, health issues. Some information could be revealed now. Something is not going to happen. This doesn't mean it's not ever going to happen, but it's not going to happen with whoever we thought it would happen with - this will make sense to some people.

THURSDAY is another all day Void Moon - you know the drill.

All week, the Moon is waning and we are releasing. The Moon is balsamic - here is a post I wrote a couple years back about working with that energy.

On FRIDAY, we have the New Moon in Libra (Friday night) - I will do a post on this later in the week - Jupiter is tight with this Moon making it even bigger and better. After that it is all systems GO - especially if it involves love, other people, art, women, our values or our money. We can wait another week if we want Mercury out of his shadow period. Of course, if something needs to launch now - just avoid the void Moons if you need "something to come of" whatever you are beginning and realize you are launching in the Moon's balsamic phase (quieter, less energy).

The Jupiter/Sun conjunction plus Pluto direct and Mars transit through the sign.

Check your Sun and Rising Signs - if you know the house placements (Libra and Capricorn in your natal chart) even BETTER:

(please excuse any typos - too pooped to reread right now - BIG XO EVERYONE!)

New Moon in Taurus - May 4th, 2019 | coming back to Earth, keeping it simple, practical action, the seeds go into the ground, keeping the fire burning, the success of this new beginning depends on how we finish what is ending

At 6:46PM EDT on May 4th, the Taurus Moon meets the Taurus Sun at 14 degrees giving us this month's New Moon.

The New Moon is a time when the skies are dark. It is the time of beginning. The seed goes into the ground. The sperm goes into the egg. The idea goes onto the paper. The nail into the wood.

I am liking this chart alot because it looks rather uncomplicated which is just the way Taurus likes it! And the Moon is exalted in Taurus and this is happening within just a couple days of Beltane.

The Sun and Moon are applying to a trine to our Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn (if we stretch our standards just a wee tiny bit) and applying to an opportunistic sextile with Neptune in Pisces and semi-sextiling Vesta. Mars is opposing Jupiter.

Keep in mind the Moon (feminine energy) does in about two days what it takes the Sun (masculine energy) a month to do.

So the Moon will move on to exactly trine Saturn and Pluto and exactly sextile Neptune within hours of the New Moon and the Sun within days. This is why New Moon energy plays out quickly and also over a few days to a couple weeks.

The ruler of this lunation is Venus (ruler of Taurus) - she is in warrior mode in the middle of Aries, sandwiched between Vesta and Eris. She has moved on a bit from her opposition to a retrograde Pallas, but this is still within orb. She is trining Jupiter and beginning to square Saturn, Pluto and the Nodes of Fate (following in Mercury's footsteps through Aries).

Let's unpack this.

The Taurus New Moon trining Saturn/Pluto is stable, ambitious energy.

With both Saturn and Pluto retrograde right now - there is something from the past that factors into this Moon's new beginning or maybe the new beginning very quickly follows an ending.

If something has recently ended for us (or is about to, Pluto retrograde could be delaying an ending for now) this could be good news. Something still needs to be wrapped up though. The stability of whatever we are starting depends on whatever is finishing up getting a proper ending.

Taurus New Moons bring slow and steady progress to whatever is started now.

This NEW BEGINNING would be about the theme of our natal Taurus house or the collective Taurus themes of our money/earnings, our resources/what we own/ecology/the Earth, what we value and our self esteem. Taurus is our first Earth sign and rules what we have and our experience of what we have via our five senses.

After all the delays in March and all the endless shifts of April - we can now finally begin to move forward with practical and down to earth action! All the New Moon's aspects are supportive.

There isn't some big splashy thing here, but honestly in Taurus, that is a good thing. This is just the way Taurus functions best.

The New Moon is sextiling Neptune in Pisces (the Sun will get to the exact sextile on May 8th) - this is excellent energy for BUILDING A DREAM. This adds imagination, idealism, healing and aid from our muses, angels and ancestors. It also again speaks of support through what is ending or what has gone before. An excellent time to meditate, pray for guidance. And Neptune is at 18 degrees Pisces now - a space he hasn't occupied since the mid 1800's! This is brand new energy for ALL OF US.

The New Moon's most exact aspect is a semi-sextile to Vesta. This tells us the New Moon beginning is intended to usher in an opportunity for the growth of something we will hold sacred. Something that will carry the energies of respect and independence. It offers us an instinctive ability to FOCUS on what is most important.

The opposition from Jupiter to Mars is not always such a great aspect (overconfidence/greed), but I think here it will pack just the needed punch of confidence. It can add enthusiasm, optimism, fire, passion, quick thinking, fast lessons and some options. Mars in Gemini (a great multi-tasker, but who maybe tends a bit toward being all over the place) opposing a strong Jupiter - again retrograde, so bringing us some hidden treasures or lost faith - can help us break up stagnant thinking patterns and beliefs that are keeping us stuck making this -

an especially potent New Moon for improving self-esteem through action

(also for beginning something that will line our wallets or increase our resources over time). I like Mars/Jupiter for helping us to get more excited about the new life than we are missing/clinging to the old one.

Venus (the New Moon ruler), at first glance, looks a bit squashed here, but after taking a second look at the company she is keeping - it feels almost like she is being protected. Not that Venus in take-no-prisoners Aries is exactly in need of protection, but she is in her detriment here (since she rules Aries polarity sign of Libra), so it looks like maybe the girls have her back. Even the opposition to Pallas (retrograde in Libra) is unwinding, so could speak of the wisdom and strategic assistance gained through partnership/other people. We have, in a sense, moved past a relationship issue. V

Venus is applying to a square to the Nodes/Saturn/Pluto, so relationship situations are not perfect. The past is still playing a big role in what is happening now. It may not be all ironed out as smoothly as we would like it to be, but the situation is workable. Think cooperation. Diplomacy. Balance. This also applies to our money and resources. Slow and steady.

Although the Moon (and Sun) are not in aspect with Uranus, just having Uranus in Taurus is changing Taurus. Old habits may still be dying hard, but they can die fast now.

Fast change is Uranus's specialty.

Keep in mind this is still a Taurus New Moon. Taurus doesn't like to rush. She likes comfort and ease and stopping to smell the roses. This isn't about being lazy. This is about our ability to savor. And to put down roots.

These years may be challenging, but KNOW we came here and are alive at this time for these experiences - we carry (each of us our own little piece of the puzzle) the energy needed now.

The New Moon in Taurus always makes me think about stewardship - the responsible care we take of ourselves, our families, our businesses, our planet - this one feels like an excellent time to do some restful things and just be actually. Venusian Taurus always desires peace, so bringing some symbol of peace into our life right now would be very powerful, too.

With Uranus impacting Taurus just by being there, maybe what we thought was stable won't be quite so stable - but keep in mind - what we thought was impossible will not be quite so impossible either!

Two days after this New Moon, Mercury is going to move into Taurus, too (until mid-May).

Everything and everyone is going to start making alot more sense/cents!

NEW MOON INTENTIONS

This New Moon in Taurus is an excellent time to begin a grounding practice, make affirmations and set intentions about Taurean ruled themes (also the theme of your natal Taurus house): money, resources, contentment with what we already have, patience, self-worth, releasing stubbornness, nutrition, nature, self-care, health issues regarding our neck, throat and voice in the world - this would be a great time to start a singing practice or take a class, simply committing to singing loud and strong every time you are in the car can begin to carry your voice to new spaces and places!

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a happy, contented frame of mind HUG A TREE (she needs us) - always make affirmations from a  positive place, and both definitions of positive apply here - happy and certain. Write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud - then release your attention from these things knowing that your intention is known.

Know these things are already yours.

Also remember affirmations are action -  they set the energy in motion and by working with the right things at the time of the New Moon we are literally creating the affirmation within the energy that is needed to bring them to life.

Words are not just words. If done properly, in the right frame of mind and heart-felt, they line us up energetically with the thing we are seeking. Always.

The stuff we start now will benefit us later in the year. With Taurus, this is pretty much guaranteed, providing we keep things SIMPLE, finish whatever needs to be finished and keep moving FORWARD.

Look to May 8th when the Sun reaches his exact sextile to Neptune to see what this new dream brings to light and take creative action.

There is nothing fast about a Taurus New Moon, so no big flashy moves are necessary. Make your plans. Get things moving. We are playing a long game.

Full Moon in Libra | April 6th, 2023 - a change of heart, new ways of finding peace, RELATIONSHIP EYE-OPENERS and conclusions, RESOLVING VERY OLD BATTLES with ourselves through other people, learning to live and love in an unstable time

Second Full Moon in Libra | April 19, 2019 - another chance to bring our relationships into balance, words or information that hurts, what are we overdoing, what needs to be finished, what beliefs are holding us back, who and what are we partnered with? who and what has our back? dogs aren't really eating other dogs

On Friday morning at 7:11AM EDT we have the second Full Moon in Libra at 29 degrees - Moon at 29 degrees Libra, Sun at 29 degrees Aries - our monthly Moon/Sun opposition.

We had the first Full Moon back on March 20th (Spring Equinox) at 0 degrees Libra/Aries. Two Full Moons in the same sign in the same year is VERY unusual. Coming in the relationship focused sign of Libra and the "we vs me" polarity of the Libra/Aries axis - something here is really wanting our attention! Maybe with such a focus right now on having to do this thing ourselves - it is more important than ever that we get really, really clear on who (and what) we are on this journey with!

We have had a Full Moon followed by a New Moon since the January eclipses (reflecting this whole ass-backwards, cart before the horse thing we have had going on all year) - we will finally start having a New Moon followed by a Full Moon in May!

A post on the FIRST Libra Full Moon is HERE - that might be helpful to reread and think about how those themes have moved forward in our life in the last 30 days.

Full Moons bring things to light, to a peak/culmination and to an END.

Let's unpack the chart.

We can see we have a fast-moving pile up in Aries right now, demanding we prioritize ourselves. Libra brings the focus to the way this plays out within our relationships.

The Sun is approaching his exact conjunction to the "fast-change" Uranus in Taurus. So, we might see Full Moon events play out when this conjunction is exact NEXT WEEK (around Tuesday), maybe giving us an Easter weekend break from whatever "new reality" this second Moon and Uranus are determined to bring to light!

The Sun/Moon are squaring the Pluto/Saturn conjunction - Pluto and Saturn will both be going retrograde over the next week or so, so this is going to ease up a bit before they come back together in the fall and take us into 2020's super conjunction. What you can't see from this chart is that right now, exactly in between powerful Pluto and powerful Saturn is the powerful South Node of the Moon (endings, release, past karma - collective and individual). We haven't had this kind of energetic in 500 years!

We have a retrograde Jupiter trining the Sun and sextiling the Moon.

It could be Full Moon events come through this space of our chart (Sagittarius house) or through a Jupiter-type person (could be a Sag person or someone who is a BIG thinker/talker/explorer) or situation where we - or a partner - are most likely OVER-DOING or exaggerating something or believing in something that needs a wake-up, shake-up call.

The squares to the Nodes indicate tension/frustration around an OLD responsibility. Something we have already taken on/committed to - and we can't move forward until this is completed/lived up to.

This could also (since the Moon is focused on partnerships) be playing out through someone else in our life - happening to a partner, etc and impacting us - or impacting the partnership itself. Relationships are mirrors.

The full glow of the Moon will spotlight the ways something is out of balance or the way greater Libra diplomacy/cooperation/beauty is needed or not needed. Diplomacy/cooperation could be hard to come by (the Sun in Aries wants what he wants and he's got some help right now, look at all the Aries planets and Venus, ruler of this Full Moon, will be there, too, within hours).

Maybe we get to see who/what really has our back.

Things could feel very out of balance or out of control.

Mercury will conjunct hurting/healing Chiron this same day, so there might be some painful words heard or expressed now. Conversations/information that hurts. Conversations/information that heals. Sibling situations can also trigger old sore spots.

Maybe whatever relationship dynamics we had playing out back on March 20th (the first Libra Full Moon) are TALKED OUT now. Or new information comes out now. Mercury is freshly minted in Aries - we need a new conversation, a new story, a new way in - not to rehash the same old, same old.

The Full Moon in Libra can bring clarity.

We get a second chance to bring something into balance. With everything happening in cardinal signs there is a fresh start built into any ending now.

The Sun is coming off this week's trine to the Galactic Center - so there is fresh information here, a new timeline has crossed into our own and here we are poised at the brink of every conceivable possibility.

Something is still hanging over our head though - something still not finished. A prior commitment maybe or some responsibility not stepped into/lived up to. Something to think about, but not dwell on because things are going to start speeding up now.

We came for the journey. For the experience. Our arrival at our destination was assured as soon as we left home. This isn't a race. No one is keeping score.

Keep in mind always this year that North Node in Cancer. We have to somehow prioritize nurturing. Taking care of ourself. Being kind/compassionate to ourselves and to each other. We have to somehow stay open and vulnerable. If we let ourselves become brittle or jaded or hiding out to stay safe or buying into this "every man for himself" mode of thinking that got us into this mess in the first place, the stakes will just keep getting higher and higher.

The stuff that is really keeping us safe isn't the stuff that looks like it is keeping us safe.

Which reminds me of a day in hub's shop when one of his customers, a young laid-back kind of guy not some crusty curmudgeon, probably watching too much Walking Dead or playing too many video games, was telling us about his business problems and how this was a dog eat dog world, and hubs and the other men present, I believe caught up in some kind of testosterone group hug, without any actual hugging, of course - boy germs and all, were all nodding and agreeing with him and going on and on about survival of the fittest.

And I was like, "Wait a minute, this isn't a dog eat dog world. This isn't even a dog eat squirrel world. This isn't a survival of the fittest world. This may be a non-survival of the very least fit (the one gazelle the lion is able to actually catch), but there is a whole lot of surviving going on."

This was followed by a lot of dead air. Then shuffling feet. Then good-byes.

I always did know how to clear a room.

It is NOT a dog eat dog world, but at this Full Moon compromise could be hard to find. We will want what we want and if we have to fight to get it we will. Someone is likely to be pissed off or disappointed in us - oh well. The last Full Moon and this Full Moon have given us a MONTH LONG ending/culmination. We know by now who has our back. We know by now who are on the same page we are. But ultimately this is a solo journey. Our life (and care) is in our own hands.

Too much certainty assures we are shown the very things that will make us question ourselves. Maybe because when nothing is certain, anything is possible, right? I think so, too.

Enjoy the Full Moon. Be sure to get outside and walk in it.
