weekly astrology forecast | march 20th - 26th, 2023 - New Moon in Aries at the EQUINOX, Pluto into Aquarius, Mars finally leaves Gemini, Venus takes her power back, the future is here!

Whatever we were doing last week, and no doubt it MATTERED, well, this is another BIG week. We have multiple planets changing signs and a BIG New Moon in Aries. It's HUGE.

Let's unpack this powerful week!

SUNDAY - Mercury into Aries

MONDAY - Venus conjunct North Node, Sun sextile Pluto, Sun enters Aries

TUESDAY - New Moon in Aries (0 Aries)

WEDNESDAY - Ceres retrograde backs into Virgo

THURSDAY - Pluto enters Aquarius (first time since 1700's)

SATURDAY - Mars enters Cancer and inconjuncts Pluto

SUNDAY - Mercury conjunct Chiron

The week really gets kick-started on SUNDAY with Mercury's move into Aries - we talked about this last week, in the weekly HERE. Our words can be more impulsive/fiery. Conversations and information more sharp/blunt. We could be talking to men/Aries people.

Then on MONDAY, the Sun, at the very end of Pisces, makes an opportunistic sextile with powerful Pluto at the very end of Capricorn. Pisces/Capricorn. Making the dream real. This is flowing/quiet POWER. Won't need to be forced. Let go and let God. Forgiveness/compassion are good for the bottom line. We are feeling comfortable with the past.

Then the Sun move into Aries (5:24PM EDT).

This is just hours before the New Moon in Aries. This is rare, I can't remember this happening - we start the New Solar and Lunar Years TOGETHER - we could feel something like BLASTED FORWARD this week!

Aries is the first sign of ourselves and this new start should be about US.

Oxygen mask on your own face first, please.

This is very much NOW, NOW, NOW energy, so take action with whatever comes up this week. We will likely be doing things somewhat quickly - they don't have to be big things - and on OUR OWN TERMS.

Do you know what house Aries rules in your natal chart?

Well, time for a fresh start there.

For example if you are a Capricorn rising - this fresh start is happening in your 4th house and will be about your home, family, mothering, real estate, home business, family business, your roots. With Ceres, retrograde in Libra and opposing the New Moon - tangles regarding how you are nourished through your work/public attention or recognition, as well as partnership issues are pulled into the mix.

Collectively this New Moon - and we will talk about all this in its own post tomorrow will be about PERSONAL fresh starts. Bold new beginnings within ourselves. The opposition to Ceres might speak of a change of life situation that is ending, something outside our control or the ending/culmination within a relationship. With Ceres, this might be about how we nurture ourselves vs other people - and, for all of us, through Ceres in Libra, imbalanced partnership issues will show up to be worked with during this New Moon transit.

At the same time, lovely Venus, our most benevolent planet, strong and home in Taurus now, meets up with the North Node - our collective best way forward - TAKING HER/OUR POWER BACK.

We are attracting what we need and attractive to what we want.

Having Venus meeting the North Node - in a sign she rules - at the Spring Equinox is a very good sign. Pulls this ABUNDANT energy into the entire season! This is an excellent time for us to be looking at what/who we are attracting and why and changing the patterns of attractions, so they will be more FULFILLING in the future - situations will conspire for this to happen. Keep in mind as Venus meets the North Node, she opposes the South Node. That old complicated stuff will be easier to see for what it really is, and isn't, and will not feel so good. To get to the North Node's abundance we have to disentangle ourselves from anything past its expiration date. WE HAVE TO LET THE PAST GO! This is a Scorpion release - letting go of power. Letting go of obsessions. Letting go of manipulations.

Juno is also conjunct the North Node. Who and what are we partnered with? Look for opportunities now. She is really powered up by her girl Venus beside her. Our relationships/contracts/commitments are pulling us into the future this week. These relationships can be motivated by security/stability/money.

By TUESDAY, the Moon moves into Aries and meets up with the Sun. The new beginnings of our Solar and Lunar New Year are happening TOGETHER, within hours of each other. Excellent energy for new starts, fresh ambitions and increased motivation. Did I say that already?

Our Aries natal house is LIT.

Expect a BIG post.

The Sun/Moon in Aries are answering to Mars, still in Gemini at this point, so the duality of Gemini/doing two things or more than one thing at a time is pulled into this New Moon cycle. Also information, communication, sibling/community situations, transportation/tech. The good news here is with Mercury in Aries answering to Mars and Mars in Gemini answering to Mercury - Mars can get back to Aries through Mercury (words, information, doing things twice, etc). Mercury going into Aries on Sunday  BEFORE the New Lunar Year and Solar Year is really helping us. Our actions can be more precise/focused/smart. It's the next best thing to having Mars in Aries at the Aries New Moon and Spring Equinox - we will take it!

Keep in mind we get a second New Moon in Aries in April - a rare repeating New Moon in the first sign of Aries, so a second chance here. By that time, Mars (ruler of Aries) will be out of Gemini and his mutual reception with Mercury and into Cancer, the sign of his fall. I haven't looked at that New Moon yet, but just knowing Mars is in Cancer, I probably like this one better. We can start during this New Moon cycle - over the next two weeks as the Moon is waxing - and we will use the next New Moon, which will be powerful, too, for any further initiatives in this new direction. If nothing is really falling together for you this month despite your best efforts (we are coming off alot of Pisces exhaustion, drifting, maybe illness) just know that second New Moon IS COMING. There is a reason we get two of them! Also keep in mind Aries is the sign of the very wee beginning. The energy of initiation has alot of possible directions it might go at this point, so don't worry about things being all nailed down because they won't be.

Ceres leaves Libra on WEDNESDAY, pulling the mothering energy out of our relationships. She turns a more critical eye on our closest partnerships as anything here that is out of balance gets relooked at/reworked. Ceres once signed off on a complicated compromise that no less than saved the world, so can be very useful for our relationships/partnerships as she takes us from Libra (balance) to Virgo (fixing problems).

In Virgo, she (as we) is also charged with going back over the details of our work, health, pets, daily obligation and the day-to-day workings of our lives. Goddess of the harvest, Ceres is a natural fit here. Her retrograde will likely stir up situations that allow us to take another look at what we give our time/attention to. There is a natural selection process here - a separating of the wheat from the chaff. Collectively this transit could have us relooking at food/resources issues. Ceres will station direct on May 6th at 23 degrees Virgo.

Pluto enters Aquarius on THURSDAY for a sneak peek into the future (he will only be here until June 11th, June 11th is also the day Mercury comes home to Gemini, so there will be some news or information pulling us backward into Capricorn territory at that time).

Pluto (revolution, life and death) hasn't been in Aquarius since the American and French revolutions in the 1700's!

A NEW AGE IS COMING. The collective news this week will be VERY IMPORTANT.

With Aqua's ruler Saturn (ancient) swimming with the fishies in Pisces and answering to a strong Neptune in his home sign and Uranus (modern) in Taurus and answering to a strong Venus in her home sign, this will be more than interesting :)

On the one hand, fears about the future, both real and unreal - both collectively and individually will be felt. On the other hand - new ways to empower ourselves.

Pluto rules Scorpio and hasn't changed signs since 2008 - I'm looking at you here fellow Scorpio risings - BIG changes ahead for us, and for everyone's Scorpio house, since that house answers to your natal Pluto which is impacted by changes with transiting Pluto. Also keep in mind, Pluto is the modern ruler of the South Node - the stuff we are mired in that is past its expiration date/the dead stuff we are clinging to. A CURSE IS BROKEN.

Pluto starting this transit squaring the Nodes of Fate in Taurus/Scorpio will have significant financial and resource ramifications, which are already starting to materialize. This is a 20 year transit where the planet of revolution/evolution, power, death and rebirth visits the fixed air of Aquarius - hivemind, the people, freedom, the future, tech - for the first time in over 200 years. EXPECT A BIG POST by sign!

After a long back and forth through Gemini since last August, Mars finally moves into Cancer on SATURDAY. What have you learned during this time? What has changed? The good news - Mars change of sign opens up new opportunities to tackle problems in fresh ways and move forward. We want to be embracing this change of energy and let it guide us toward new solutions.

Mars, himself (action, initiative, anger, passion) though, is not quite so comfortable in Lunar-ruled Cancer, answering to the moody/changeable Moon. He is considered in his fall.

This is because Mars can't be all Martian - fired up and passionate and out in the world testing his courage, running onto the battlefield thinking only of himself and how good it will feel to swing that sword - when he has these pesky emotional Cancerian things to contend with.

Things like feelings (it's harder to take the instinctive action he needs to take when he has to feel his way through what he is doing instead of just doing it). And home and family and security (harder to be putting himself first when he has a family depending on him and harder for the Mars warrior to fight most effectively when he needs to stay alive to come home at the end of the day). This stuff can make Mars like a pot of hot water ready to boil over at any minute. Like the too-young father who wants to be out bar-hopping with his buds - he is trapped.

Collectively we will be more security and safety conscious for the next couple months.

Our actions are more likely to be based on our emotions. We could be more focused on home and family, real estate, a renovation project, a home or family business. We could be taking action to be more protective of whatever we have going on within these themes. Individually, our natal Cancer houses will experience more initiative, action, passion and anger. Where is Cancer in your natal chart? Wherever it is, Mars is not the usual way we deal with the things ruled by this house (unless of course, you have Mars there natally).

As Mars enters Cancer he moves right into an inconjunct - rock and a hard place - with freshly and temporarily minted Pluto in Aquarius. Five signs apart, Cancer and Aquarius are not so comfortable together (says the Aqua Sun person with the Cancer Moon). The best way to explain this is Aquarius is the 8th house from Cancer - the house of death, threatening the family, home, mom, country and apple pie. This will be UNCOMFORTABLE. Water. Air. Cancer is intuitive while Aquarius is perceptive. There is not much in common here, can pull in challenges between the home/family and the group/causes/friends/the future, challenging us to find ways to reconcile the two.

Mars in Cancer will get home/family situations fired up through action, arguments, masculine energy. EXCELLENT energy for spring cleaning and home repair/projects. We can take advantage of Mars in Cancer to declutter, refresh and revitalize our living spaces. Mars will be in Cancer until he enters Leo on May 20th.

We finish up the week with Mercury meeting up with Chiron in Aries on SUNDAY. Mercury is out of her/his mutual reception with Mars by now. We are talking about (thinking about) our vulnerabilities/what hurts/maybe an illness. WORDS ARE HEALING. Speaking up and sharing news and information can be a source of healing. When we acknowledge our own struggles and shortcomings, it allows us to approach others with greater empathy and compassion bringing everyone closer together. Mercury/Chiron's annual meeting is a powerful time to communicate openly and authentically with those around us. Keep in mind with Mercury in Aries, words may be fiery and blunt.

So, pay attention to what you have going on this week as Pluto will be back here at the end of the year when the future really clicks into place. By the third week of May, a major fixed t-square between Pluto and the Nodes via Eclipses will be unwinding and Jupiter will have moved into stable Taurus, signaling a slowdown in cosmic energies. Until then, we will want to pace ourselves a bit. Balance action with intelligence/caution. The fresh Aries energy will be invigorating AND we also want to be mindful of impulsiveness and think about the consequences of our actions and words.

New Moon post will be up tomorrow and another post on Pluto's entry into Aquarius (by sign) later in the week. Exciting cosmic shifts are happening folks and we are the people blessed and #lucky, #unlucky enough to get to live through these energies and experience them/be transformed by them! :)
