the amazing astrology of meghan markle and Ann boleyn | and the crossroads divide us - part I

Astrology is the ancient language of archetypes (the myths that connect us by re-tracing the shared pathways of our collective unconscious, there are parts of us/our DNA that remembers, and so reacts, to these stories) and meticulously studied patterns. It is good enough as a predictive tool, but certainly not an exact science because so many things can just mean so many things!

What can be gleaned from an astrological natal chart though (birth - first breath of a person/venture/event) is TOTALLY AMAZING.

We come into the world, not as a blank slate, but with the patterns within us that have been in human beings before us.

If you are lucky enough to live in a family with accurate birth records, astrological analysis can give a voice to the complexities of your family as an organic whole, your family's place within collective society and the role each individual within your family plays in carrying on the ancestral line.

You might think your family boring, but I can guarantee you, the truth of them, each of them, is as riveting as the very best episode of Game of Thrones (yes, the one where Cersei settles all the family's outstanding business - ouch).

When I got into astrology, it was obvious the best way to learn was to study alot of charts - imagine the archetypes/look for patterns. The records in my own family, pre-Ancestry.com, was pretty sketchy, so I once spent (back in the early 90's around the time of Princess Diana's death) a crazy/obsessive amount of time studying the charts of the royal family from present day back to the time of King Henry VIII.

After hearing about Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah last week (I haven't watched it yet), I thought we'd take a look at their current transits to see what is going on, but I actually never got past their uber interesting natals, so we are going to unpack those and see how they BOTH fit, like little missing puzzle pieces, into the ancient and modern royal family charts. And, yes, we'll move onto the transits at some point, too, and see if we can glean where all this is going!

From my days absorbed with Princess Diana, I became very familiar with the chart of the infamous - and in my opinion quite maligned - Ann Boleyn (a controversial wife of King Henry VIII and mother of Queen Elizabeth I - she played an important part in English history and the creation of the Church of England - we'll cover more of this story in part II and how it connects to what is going on in the world right now).

When I opened Meghan's chart I immediately recognized Ann's.

Do the current energies make Ann's story ripe to be re-imagined through Meghan? Is Meghan Markle the reincarnation of Ann Boleyn?

Let's unpack the charts!

There are a couple ways to compare/examine multiple people's charts. We can look at their "synastry" the way their personal points and planets interact with each other (their effect on each other) and we can create a composite chart from the midpoints of their individual charts (which would reflect the energy of the relationship).

We'll start with synastry. Ann Boleyn's 23 degree Taurus 10th house Sun is conjunct Meghan's 22 degree natal Chiron (old wounding, in Meghan's case 11th house of the other and the public/the audience). Ann's life = Meghan's wound. Ann's Sun opposes Meghan's 22 degree past-life/ancestral (powerful, but sometime self-sabotaging) Neptune in the 5th house which rules both royalty and children.

This 5th house Neptune of Meghan's is exactly conjunct Ann Boleyn's 4th house Moon (mother, mothering).

Conversely, we can spin this around - Ann's Chiron is ALSO conjunct Meghan's Sun!

Ann's wound = Meghan's life-force/purpose. Ann's 4th house Pluto is exactly conjunct Meghan's Uranus. Ann's life/death transformation, which ended with her decapitation by the way (is also conjunct Harry's 10th house South Node allowing Meghan's rebellious Uranus to free him from the burdens of that social status/patriarchal story-line - this is also conjunct Meghan's Black Moon Lilith as she is tossed from the garden one more time, Black Moon Lilith also connects to Black Lives Matter and the part their children's race/color plays as this timeline shifts). This Uranus of Meghan's - the one conjunct Ann's Pluto EXACTLY and Harry's South Node/Ceres conjunction is in Megan's 5th house of children (also royalty).

Meghan has an exact Pallas/Diana/Psyche conjunction in her first house.

Ann has a  Pallas/Diana/Psyche conjunction in her 10th house - with asteroid Diana (fertility/childbirth, Goddess of the hunt/hunted) exactly on Ann Boleyn's North Node - Ann's story to be replayed, with a new twist (nothing ever repeats itself in the same way) through the line of Diana? Meghan herself being born within days of Diana's marriage to Charles.

We can imagine the Goddesses gathered at Diana's wedding rubbing their hands together, "OK girls, now we've got a PROJECT".

And, yes, for those who might be wondering, Harry (whose real name is Henry) has quite a few connections to his ancestor Henry (also called Harry by his chums) and also to his other ancestor Edward VIII who abdicated the throne for the love of an American woman. We will look at all of that in a later post.

As for Harry and Meghan's synastry, again we see her Uranus on his South Node (she's breaking him away from this old story/his tradition). Her Chiron (remember this is also Ann Boleyn's Sun) conjunct Harry's exalted 4th house Moon (showing the great care and love from his mother and also the great care and love he has for his mother) - Meghan's Chiron - her wounding - helping him to heal from his mother-wound. But does this also take him back to a 500 year old ancestral 'mother wounding'?

Meghan's Saturn is also exactly conjunct his Mercury, so she is kind of growing him up/sobering him up/giving his service-oriented Virgo Mercury a purpose, although it could become a bit much on him at times most likely. Saturn synastry aspects, especially maybe the powerful conjunction, point to karmic contracts. Like "we are going to get together and do this" this time around. Or their energetic cording requiring this be worked at during these particular transits.

Harry has a natal Diana/Eris conjunction and Meghan has that first house Diana (exact with Psyche and Pallas) and Eris on her midheaven. Meghan's public discord/feeling unwelcome connecting for Harry to his mother's feeling of being unwelcome. Their story playing out through her pregnancy/birth of Archie with asteroid Child conjunct Harry's 22 degree Virgo Sun (again the need for a Sun/Son/Child to get this thing right, but this time moving in a totally different direction!) and on the Galactic Center in Meghan's chart (which is Harry's natal Neptune placement).

(Harry's Sun is also conjunct asteroid Zeus - the solar rays eclipsing his Zeus - the king of the Gods - this eclipsing speaks of the fated destiny of Harry's role as spare to William's heir in this lifetime)

Meghan and Harry have a definite Marsy vibe. Needing someone or something to fight lest they fight with each other! But, this also gives them a great deal of passion.

Also her Mars in Cancer (12th house so almost certainly a past life connection here) exact on his DC (his partner) shows us not only their past life 'mother story' but intimates he sees her as fighting as a mother/for her children. Almost certainly with Harry's chart he grew up thinking/feeling that he needed to/or should have somehow saved his own mother.

Back in January 2020 as Saturn was approaching Pluto, as time was running out, we had a Cancer Full Moon, we talked about her HERE

This was that BIG Full Moon in Cancer with the Moon standing all alone across the sky from that powerful pile-up of planets in Capricorn - Mama Bear fighting City Hall. This was when Meghan and Harry were announcing their departure from royal life. This was with the Cappy pile-up on Queen Elizabeth's ascendant (so Moon on her descendant), Ann Boleyn's natal Neptune (5th house children), King Henry VIII's natal Uranus (5th house children), Catherine Duchess of Cambridge aka Kate Middleton's Sun/South Node (5th house children - an old story of hers wraps up suddenly here as Harry leaves with Meghan, interesting for those who know the Henry VIII history - we'll look at this in another post). The Full Moon sextiling (opportunity) Harry's natal Moon and Meghan's Ascendant. WOW.

We talked about Hekate recently - she is a triplicity Goddess - considered the wise crone (of the Persephone/maiden, Demeter/mother trio). Turned into a "witch" during patriarchal re-tellings, she is actually the Goddess of the Crossroads.

When major shifts happen in relationships, work, status or health, when we are in transition, no longer who we used to be in some significant way (like the world right now and it's not surprising the royal family, a powerful expression of patriarchy/tradition is a zeitgeist for this) - these are the times when we can be at a major crossroads with Hekate/Hecate.

She sees where we have come from, and which direction (timeline) each of the two choices will take us. I also see Hekate in our natal chart as a place where we just might go astray, and the area of our life where we are bound to develop great wisdom as a way-shower for others. The asteroid Hekate orbits in the same region as the Hygiea asteroid family, but is considered to be an unrelated interloper. My take on this is that she helps us, particularly when we are spending time with the wrong people, to find our true soul family.

Meghan was born with Hekate EXACT on her IC at 11 degrees Libra. Her roots/who she is. She is an old soul/will be a wise old woman. Harry was born with Hekate EXACT on his descendant at 11 degrees Cancer (so precisely squaring Meghan's) - his partner destined to be a Hekate. At the time of the Mama Bear Full Moon - the North Node (our collective way forward) was at 9 degrees Cancer - exactly on Harry's mother Diana's natal Sun, conjunct Harry's Hekate, squaring Meghan's Hekate AND inconjunct Duchess Catherine's (AKA Kate Middleton) 11 degree Hekate in Sagittarius. Yes, Meghan's Hekate is 11 degrees Libra, Harry's 11 degrees Cancer and Kate's 11 degrees Sagittarius. The number 11 is a powerful number - the Magician card of the tarot, a number of intuition and spiritual insight - it is a master number related to KARMA.

Hekate. A crossroads. A timeline (stream of consciousness) shifts. Maybe something from the Meghan, Harry, Kate story can be used to glean more about the forgotten (by our conscious memory/history, our subconscious remembers) story of Hekate, too.

2020's Saturn/Pluto conjunction (the same in Cappy as the days of King Henry VIII) - limits/rules/authority is transformed - death (Pluto) of tradition (Saturn - the patriarchy) AND authority (Saturn) is cemented - because this is happening in Saturn's sign - authority is made more powerful (Pluto).

And now, 2021's Saturn/Uranus squares - the old/tradition vs the new/freedom. Chaos redistributing power. We'll continue this adventure in part II and since Hekate (pronounced Heck-a-tay) insists we not ignore Catherine/Kate's role here - we will pull her chart into this, and another Catherine /Katherine, too

(history buffs and Brits might see where this is going! yes, it goes there!).

And, of course, we'll examine Harry/Henry, Queen Elizabeth & Diana and how this story - which seems not so terribly significant in the midst of everything that is going on in the world right now - is actually CENTRAL TO IT. A zeitgeist of Saturn/Pluto and Saturn/Uranus. Also, we will look at Meghan's connections to the Queen - which are quite good actually.

xo all

Also, before we leave Goddess Hekate/Hecate, I will add that asteroid Hekate is EXACTLY conjunct Princess Diana's natal Eris and EXACTLY conjunct Queen Elizabeth's natal Neptune (in Leo/7th house and ruling her 2nd) and EXACTLY opposing her natal Jupiter (in Aqua/1st house and ruling her 10th).

The last time I wrote one small paragraph about Meghan Markle I received multiple emails telling me she's a "narcissist". So, let's think about that for a moment. Her natal asteroid Narcissus is at 21 degrees (a powerful, but self-sabotaging degree) in her 9th house (foreign situations/media) in Pisces (past-life/what is behind us). Keep in mind we are seeing Ann Boleyn's powerfully ambitious chart through Meghan and I think anyone with a packed first house in Leo including her Sun and North Node, like Meghan has - naturally attention-getting/charming/designed for the spotlight - is maybe also going to tend toward being self-absorbed. But, that's the plan with this chart! She had to want to be royalty for any of this to work/get resolved. No judgments please.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, March 18, 2021 - taking the dream seriously, taking responsibility for what we want, affirming our intuition, do something that moves you closer to what you want

The Moon is exalted in Taurus now - we are nurtured through touch and comfort. A baby born now would have both a beautiful reflection and a beautiful mother.

Past last night's squares to Saturn and Jupiter, the Moon has an easier time of it today - sextiling Neptune at 1:15AM EDT, Venus at 12:23PM EDT, trining Pluto at 12:29PM EST and finally going void off a dreamy sextile with the late degree Pisces Sun at 4:39PM EDT. She will be void until 7:37PM EDT when she moves into busy/mental Gemini.

The solar sextile is this month's Waxing Sextile (the smooth flow forward of last week's New Moon) - Taurus Moon/Pisces Sun at 28 degrees. Pisces/Taurus is the opportunity that comes from bringing the dream/ideal/illusive down to earth. We can touch it. Taste it. Own it. The pie-in-the-sky becomes reality. Or conversely that fixed earth, changed by moving water, becomes more malleable/easier to work with.

Venus (in Pisces) sextiles Pluto at 26 degrees Capricorn. More earth and water. And with the Moon answering to Venus, this one is powering up today's lunar transits, too!

What we want is turbocharged.

This is a sextile, so we won't have to force anything - desires (love, money, our values, beauty, self-esteem) become naturally deeper/more intense/more Plutonian (intimate/merged/purged) or Capricornian (structured/ambitious).

Like today's lunar aspects here is more energy directed at taking the dream seriously/taking responsibility for what we want - and we know in astrology when multiple aspects are pointing us in the same direction we are on to something!

We talked about this in the weekly HERE. Keep in mind the nature of sextiles - we take action and then things move in the direction we have started them moving. We don't have to fight/push, but we do have to DO SOMETHING.

This is also the day Mercury (at 3 degrees Pisces) meets up with smart Pallas.

Mercury is not so happy in Pisces (maybe Pallas isn't either), but together those smoky imaginings begin to form the patterns that allow things to make sense. Together, they (as we) can make smarter decisions. With Mercury in Pisces our words/communication/ideas are more instinctive/intuitive/compassionate - our brain tuned into the timeless stream of collective consciousness. So, now maybe some information comes in or a conversation/communication, that confirms to us whether or not we are on to something - are we putting the pieces of the puzzle together correctly (?) - here is the corroboration for what we are feeling. Or maybe the clearing out of a pattern.

Here is the intuition/compassionate language that can be trusted. The subconscious becoming conscious.

Here is where we are on the right track.

the Astrology of the Week Ahead | March 15th - 22nd, 2021 - healing opportunities, power plays, making things more equal, shifting gears

MONDAY - Mercury into Pisces, Venus square Juno

TUESDAY - Sun sextiles Pluto

WEDNESDAY - Sun squares Galactic Center, Mars sextiles Chiron

THURSDAY - Venus sextiles Pluto

FRIDAY - Venus squares Galactic Center

SATURDAY - Sun enters Aries (new astrological solar year, vernal equinox

SUNDAY - Venus enters Aries, Mars trines Saturn

This is a BIG impactful week as we ready ourselves for Aries/the New Year and the promises of Saturday's New Moon in Pisces begin to roll in!

We have multiple opportunistic sextiles, just enough frustrating/testing squares to get some wind beneath our wings and three of our four inner planets change signs, including Mercury, ruler of our North Node path forward. The end of the week's switch (Sun/Venus) from loosey-goosey Pisces to red-hot Aries will surely be FELT BY ALL OF US!

Someone recently told me that when I write about problems/challenges she almost always experiences whatever I write about, but when I write about opportunities they just don't happen to/for her. She thinks she is jinxed.

She isn't.

Because she is on the lookout for problems - she unconsciously searches my posts for dragons (which is why I attract so many people with strong Virgo!), for roadblocks, for reasons to delay. And, of course I write about alot of dragons.

I see them first and easiest, too (hard to miss the breathing fire in your face part).

Sextiles (opportunities) can be harder to spot. Even literally when looking at a chart - you have to train yourself to see them.

Like the more challenging aspects (squares and oppositions and often conjunctions) they usually require some kind of movement - a shift in our emotions, thinking, actions.

But instead of jumping out of the way of a moving train we need to jump on to the moving train.

And it is easier to stand there and let the train pass us by, than it would be for us to stand there, and let the train run us over. See what I mean.

So we notice the challenges (that train is heading straight for me!) more than the opportunities (that train is headed straight for the BEACH!).

This final week with the Sun in Pisces, still feels kind of  like things are 'wrapping up' to me, although the Moon is waxing. After the weekend's Equinox/New Year - it will be all systems GO though the end of the month. We should feel this build-up as we move through this powerful week, filled with subtle (because, well, Pisces) opportunities for power, healing and greater abundance.

Let's unpack the week. We'll add in the Moons with some dailies!

MONDAY - Venus at 22 degrees Pisces squares Juno at 22 degrees Sagittarius, Mercury moves into Pisces until April 3rd.

Venus (relationships, love, money, values, self-esteem) reaches her exact Piscean/Sag square to Juno (partnerships, contracts, marriage, agreements, family structures) - this could be a time when what we want clashes with a partnership/the hopes of someone else. With Mercury changing signs at the same time, maybe we need to give something a voice (gently) instead of assuming someone else knows what we want/are thinking. Maybe the sensitivity of Pisces is clashing with the bombastic tendencies of Sagittarius. Or maybe someone's Piscean excesses - addiction, escape, illusion - are causing tension/frustration for a committed relationship/partnership - draining hopes and optimism.

This is a mutable square, so we are making changes/turning corners/facing dragons in preparation of the new energies to come.

What isn't working? What needs to change? This week has multiple aspects indicating a greater need for balance and fairness, how might this apply here?

This is also the day Mercury leaves high-minded Aquarius for silky smooth Pisces. Unlike the last two years, when she/he stationed retrograde in Pisces, this year is a fast trip, which is probably good news because Mars in Gemini has been making me feel like Mercury is already retrograde! But maybe I just have too many Gemini-ruled machines ready to break down!

Mercury rules our thinking, our communication, our ideas.

He/she is considered in her fall/detriment in Pisces (because he rules Pisces polarity sign of Virgo), because Virgo's Mercury likes things clear and concise. She wants B to follow A and is sure things would move more efficiently if everyone would just dot their i's and cross their t's. Pisces (ruled by Neptune/Jupiter and ruler of our collective 12th house) is the space where rules/boundaries are more fluid. B might follow A. But just as easily A could drift right on past B.

It is the space of imagination, universal love, our dreams, spirituality, our connection to each other through the ethereal realms and our emotions, the ways we escape, the things we do last, the things we put away, addictions, delusions, hospitals, prisons, addicts, victims, saviors, martyrs. You can see how fast-moving Mercury could be a bit out-of-whack here.

So maybe our thinking slows down a bit. Our words drift off course. We started to say this and now we are saying that. The words that were so clear and crisp in airy Aquarius, don't come as easily because maybe we start feeling their impact on the other person now. Or maybe we start feeling like one of those old anti-drug commercials but instead of eggs - it is our brain frying on the sidewalk.

Details will be fuzzy. Our thinking might be, too. Also nostalgic. This is great for our imagination, but when things get too "lala" it's time to ground yourself with some earth, sit by a tree, walk barefoot outdoors, meditate, etc.

With Pisces ruling of the last house of the zodiac maybe a conversation comes to a slow/dissolving end now.

Our natal Pisces house - what house has Pisces on the cusp in your natal chart? - a space we are naturally inclined to more dreamy, Piscean ways - suddenly WAKES UP. Our attention goes there. This is wonderful energy for artists, poets, musicians, meditation, spirituality, healing. With Mercury (ruler of Gemini) in this universal space our words can cast even more powerful S-P-E-L-L-S - keep this in mind.

And if you haven't done your New Moon intentions - there is still time - do them now, just before the Moon goes void at 11:40PM EDT.

This is maybe not such wonderful energy for to-do lists and more practical concerns. So start, double checking communications. Re-read important papers. Give other people a break when their language isn't as concise as you would like it to be. Especially when they just can't decide. Mercury in Pisces takes in so much universal information from the world that it becomes hard to take a singular stance.

Our thinking becomes more intuitive.

Cold facts are not so cold and hard decisions can go limp. Lies might be spoken and take on a life of their own. That whole "alternative facts" thing applies. It is the time to let our mental defenses down and just feel it. Or to guard against this very thing - depending on the situation!

We don't have to understand everything or figure everything out. Pisces dissolves. Pisces feels. Pisces is a water sign and heals through wetness - blood, sweat and tears (I would avoid the blood though if possible). If we want/need to cry, and even if it turns into one of those big old ugly cries that has our eyes all scrunched up two days later and people asking us what the hell is the matter - it's time to cry. You will probably not need me to tell you this though .....

If you really need to knuckle down mentally over the next couple weeks, it could be best to give Neptune his due with some creative time - meditate, color, paint, etc - first.

On TUESDAY, the Sun at 26 degrees Pisces sextiles Pluto at 26 degrees Capricorn. They met back on January 14, 2021 (this was the day Trump was impeached by the House for the second time). We were, all of us, past the death, past the point in the game we'd always died before. Results came in. A new cycle, around how we handle power, ended and began.

Now the Sun/Pluto's annual story has moved on and we reach the time of their opportunistic sextile. This is power through compassion. Through our intuition. Through forgiveness/transcendence. Osmosis. We are able to influence things from behind the scenes. The power we once had (or our ancestors did) is available to us, especially for those with placements at 26 degrees. This is subtle, but effective/impactful. This is about how we increase our power/chances for success. Sextiles with Pluto encourage mergers, intimacy, financial opportunities. Going deep and seeing what is behind the curtain.

This is Neptune/Capricorn - building the dream. OR releasing the old/tired structures standing in the way.

On WEDNESDAY, Mars at 8 degrees Gemini sextiles Chiron at 8 degrees Aries. At the same time, the Sun, powered up by yesterday's meeting with Pluto is squaring (tension/frustration) the Galactic Center (our homing signal/seat of creation).

Mars/Chiron here is about healing actions/conversations. Wounds around our ability to stand up for ourselves/take care of ourselves are healed by doing just that. Use that Gemini humor/keep things light. With Mars in Gemini there may be multiple situations/multiple ways through this or maybe we are called to choose/decide. This might not be some big thing, we will just say what we need to say and move on.

Twice a year the Sun squares the Galactic Center - once from Virgo and once from Pisces. Squares are tension/frustration - a kind of testing. Mutable signs ready us for the new season ahead. Mutable squares test that readiness as we approach the fall and spring equinoxes. These are powerful lessons around our ability to adapt/change and our ability to bring things into a greater balance/equality. Powered up from yesterday's sextile with Pluto, the Sun (as us) is now challenged to stay flexible, spring ahead/fall back into our star-selves by remembering where we came from and how there is really only one of us here.

On THURSDAY, Venus in Pisces (following the Sun) sextiles Pluto at 26 degrees Cappy. What we want becomes more intense. Our relationships/finances/values/self-esteem can be strengthed.

Capricorn is about ownership. We own it AND we own it (take responsibility for it).

Venus is Pisces is gentle/attracts. So, this isn't about going into battle to SEIZE the land. That's the old way of thinking about ownership. We attract it now by tending to it, by desiring it, by being alluring and calling it to us.

This is the real opportunity now.

And remember to own it we have to OWN IT (take responsibility for it). We have given too much power away to too many naked emperors. Worked too many farms for somebody else. Tended too many gardens whose flowers went into other people's bouquets.

Let's take some kind of action, symbolic totally works, to claim ownership of what we want this week. Then be prepared to step into our responsibility and work like hell for it.

THURSDAY - now it's Venus's turn to square the Galactic Center - we don't always get this in preparation for the Equinox, so this challenge/frustration/time of testing is a GIFT. Again this is about balance/equality. Venus, exalted in powerful Pisces, is the civilizing influence of beauty, pleasure, our innate longing for love and connection. She is the key to recovering our true humanity. The power nature of the exalted Venus (no limits) speaks of the nature of love overcoming the tension between opposites. She permits/allows union despite differences. We'll see what the Moon's aspects this day add to a more complete picture when we get closer.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY - first the Sun and then Venus, cross 0 degree Aries (the Aries point, first degree of the zodiac, first degree of everything), leaving free-floating Pisces for the fresh start of passionate, angry, "let's get going" Aries. The Sun's move into Aries begins a new astrological year. A time of balance/the powers of both day and night equally available to us. We'll talk about the New Year in a big post!

Following the Sun's annual gift of a New Year, Venus moves in to smooth our path forward. She shifts from her exaltation, to the sign of her detriment (Aries being the polarity sign of Venus ruled Libra),

but, Aries Suns and ascendants (first house Aries) become more attractive - both able to attract what they want and easier on the eye. Everyone's Aries house becomes more attractive, too.

In Aries, Venus functions best when she puts herself first. In Aries, Venus will be thinking, "what's best for me?". In Aries, Venus is a WARRIOR (and love is a battlefield ... cue Pat Benatar). Something to keep in mind as we give ourselves permission to go after what we want (always that fly in the ointment) is the impulsive nature of Aries. If Venus was always in Aries our relationships would last 15 minutes and the things we bought/valued would very quickly fall out of favor and we'd be on to the next thing. Maybe not such a good long-haul energetic, but as a transit, ie transitory, Venus in Aries can get on with the business of getting us what we want in a very effective manner.

At the same time, Mars at 10 degrees Gemini, is trining (brakes off) Saturn in Aquarius. We've been waiting for this one since Mars got into Gemini. Interesting (and important) that it happens after Gemini ruler Mercury gets into compassionate and illusive Pisces. Here is where our words, conversations, ideas, our teachings, curiosities, signed contracts, community actions are in smooth flow with the new rules/authority/the future. Excellent aspect to get something accomplished.

Back with some dailies and a big-picture New Year post!

the New Moon in Pisces 2021 | Saturday, March 13th - unconditional love, ka-ching, ka-ching, magic, harmony, divine inspiration, a karmic clearing, a new dream, set those intentions via a New Moon ritual

On Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 5:21AM EST the Pisces Moon meets the Pisces Sun giving us this month's New Moon - our annual New Moon in Pisces.

Happening conjunct Neptune (co-ruler of Pisces) and VENUS (exalted in Pisces) gives this one added oomph. Wait, not oomph. OOMPH. Is there anything that isn't possible here?! Happening at 23 degrees, yes, again, this is the FINAL 23 degree New Moon in a series that started back in October 2020.

Neptune/Pisces rules our collective 12th house where there is no separation between us and everything else. There is no time. There is no space. This is where we find God/spirit/the Universe.

The positive expressions of Piscean energy include - connection, imagination, music, art, empathy, compassion, healing, spirituality, transcendence of the physical world. The negative expressions of any energy are really the positive expressions taken to an extreme. So imagination becomes delusion/lies, empathy become martyrdom, transcendence (lack of physical connection) becomes addiction, escapism, mental illness. Pisces is the last house - it rules endings and the things we do last. Because the 12th house is behind the 1st house (our physical self) - it rules what is behind us, what is done behind our back, what we have put away, our past, the things we have forgotten, memory, our ancestors, sleep, charities, prisons, hospitals, illness.

We operate through both positive and negative expressions of every placement in our charts, but each placement and aspect was designed for a specific purpose. It is perfect for that purpose and nothing else will do. It also has less desirable side effects. Sometimes we get so caught up in the side effects, which we usually label as problems, we can't see the good stuff which comes most naturally to us.

Now let's unpack the chart and make sure we see the good stuff!

The Moon is conjunct the Sun at 23 degrees Pisces. They conjunct Pisces ruler Neptune (20 degrees) and Venus (19 degrees) exalted in Pisces. They semi-sextile, EXACT, Eris (in Aries) who is answering to Mars who is quintile the Moon/Sun and answering to Mercury (in Aquarius ands semi-sextile Pluto, so pulling in Cappy). Pisces co-ruler Jupiter (ancient) is in Aquarius and semi-sextile Venus, answering to Saturn in Aqua and Uranus in Taurus (so answering to Venus and then Neptune). We can see everyone is involved in this chart through rulership, disposition or an exact aspect! The Moon/Sun are also EXACTLY conjunct asteroid Wuhan (a proven significator for the virus) and asteroid Isis.

Having the Moon and Sun conjunct Neptune while they are answering to Neptune is not the same as having the Sun blow out a planet (in this case Neptune) by eclipsing him. Neptune is still strong here. I think we get the best of Neptune - the transcendence, without the mind-blowing bullsh*t. Our rose-colored glasses lose their rose-colored tinting while somehow still retaining their rose-coloring abilities. Does this make sense? An enlightened Neptune gets the solar light of the Sun. Illusions burned away. Clarity. Our big idealized dream is endorsed by the Sun - in the collective/physical world, look at Biden (the Sun, whose natal chart includes a stellium of 12th house planets) signing a massive stimulus bill (Neptune/Venus and also Pisces ancient ruler Jupiter in Aqua, since the benefit is to the collective) - which is an actual real thing the likes of which (in size and scope and showing what is valued now) has never happened before.

Toss an exalted Venus into the mix and we add in love, money, our values, beauty, women, self-esteem. Now, again, she is conjunct the Sun, but she isn't actually going to meet up with the Sun until they are both in Aries (fire!), and she is EXALTED, so not a fading beauty here, by any stretch of the imagination.

Whatever is started now, is really only limited by Pisces co-rulership of Jupiter, and this is actually good news, too. Yes, this pulls in Saturn (new rules, authority, responsibility) and unpredictable Uranus, but I feel better seeing them here. Aqua/Taurus - air and earth. The new/idealized stuff is smarter/more practical and forward leaning than it looks with all the Piscean lalaland.

The Moon/Sun's only EXACT aspect (we'll bypass Wuhan for a bit) is a semi-sextile to Eris. Now, we've had arguably better aspects with Eris than a semi-sextile over the last few months (all these 23 degree New Moons have been talking to this 'outsider/whistleblower' energy), but here I would read this something like - Pisces’ compassion can temper Aries warlike qualities, while Aries can provide the initiative to realize Pisces visions. This also adds some much needed fire to the chart. And it's EXACT and the final 23 New Moon interacting with Eris (next month both the Moon and Eris move to 22). There is a reason she is there - making sure everyone/every part of us - gets a seat at the table - or that table gets flipped. Think about Meghan Markle with Eris conjunct her midheaven and transiting Eris squaring her Pluto on an angle (post coming about that story and her incredible connections to Ann Boleyn).

The Moon/Sun are conjunct asteroid Isis. A bit of  a challenge to me to feel/find her 'story' without filtering her through "daughter of", "wife of", mother of", so I am going to work with that. Choose to see that here. Remember what you are reading is this chart through my eyes/experience/knowledge - it can be interpreted myriad ways.

We are all daughters/sons of someone. We are all the mother of or mothering someone/something. We are all the wife of/partner of/collaborator with someone/something. It's always been interesting to me how gravestones/the final markers of our lives - will refer to us in relation to our relations. In Pisces, the final sign and ruling our connection back through time - our past lives/ancestors/familial gifts and curses - the conjunction of Isis with the Sun/Moon, speaks to me of the power of the New Moon to break the 'spell' very old, and often unspoken, family rules have over us.

We are all vulnerable to loneliness, guilt, escapism, addiction, martyrdom and manipulation, since we all have Neptune in our chart/blueprint and no one has a perfect childhood/perfect family. The fear of being outcast is painful to all of (some more than others). But if we truly believe we are meant to be, and I should think you wouldn't be reading this if you didn't believe that and truly one of 2020's primary lessons has been to figure out THAT WE MATTER - and so we can choose to believe that challenging the unconscious familial/collective system does not make us bad or need to result in our starvation within the tribal structure, then we can make efforts to retain/obtain positive relationships with family members while still preserving our own independent values and path in life. This is all, in different ways, reinforced by Eris's placement and Juno's separating square

(which we talked about HERE and happening at the New Moon could mean 'the new' might challenge a relationship/contract).

So, this Moon, closing out the New Moons of the astrological year of 2020, coming at a time when many people have been separated both physically and psychically from family/these karmic inheritances, long enough to maybe feel their way into a new connection with them and maybe see this stuff for the gift it is. Not to break ties, although sometimes, yes, ties will be broken, but to move toward something more authentic and NOW. I hope this makes sense.

The final aspect I see is a quintile to Mars (in Gemini). The ''gift/our talent/genius" (quintile, which is a 72 degree aspect) of the Moon coming through that Mars in Gemini. Taking action. Maybe multiple actions or on pairs of things. Talking. Communicating. Signing documents. Commerce. Writing. Teaching. Gathering. Our community. Our siblings. Think of Biden (what you think of him personally doesn't matter) signing the stimulus bill. Think of Meghan (what you think of her personally doesn't matter) talking/giving that interview.

Keep in mind Piscean power comes from its transcendent/connective nature. That's where the magic lies. This is the rising tide that lifts all ships. Our ancestors are holding our hands, coaxing us forward. If you don't know what to do with this, and this is Pisces, so we might NOT, just keep this in mind. The skies are dark - WE DON'T HAVE TO KNOW. God/life knows what to do with us. Your Pisces natal house is offering you a great gift and although Pisces is mostly not up to us, it can be useful to have your voice heard now (that Mars in Gemini and look at Mercury semi-sextile transformative Pluto EXACT). This is an excellent month to set your verbal/written intentions. DREAM BIG people.

NEW MOON INTENTIONS | RITUAL

This is an excellent time for energetic support to make changes with things ruled by Pisces (and your Pisces natal house theme!) including our imagination, art, music, the past, compassion, releasing our victim stories, releasing self-sabotage, healing our ancestral wounds, healing addictions, spiritual healing, sensitivity, trust, escapism, our lymphatic system, colds, our feet, toxicity, illness, viruses.

AFFIRMATION TIPS: Get into a positive frame of mind - meaning both happy and certain - a quiet and clean space where you can be alone is best. Write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud. Then let's release your attention from these things knowing that your intention is known.

You have cast your S-P-E-L-L. Know these things are already yours.

Just realized I skipped asteroid Wuhan, and let's not do that since he is exact here on the Moon/Sun. At first I was thinking, of no whoa when I saw him there, but after unpacking the Moon, I think his connection to this idealistic New Moon is a GOOD thing. Maybe more light will be shined on the virus's origin story. Maybe, over the next six months, as this New Moon grows into her fully idealized self - we will see the continued dissolve of this virus and the awakening of a more sociable period. The dream is alive in this New Moon. Let's imagine things turning out very, very well for everyone. Let's bring our powerful collective focus to that.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, March 11, 2021 - knowing who we are getting into bed with, cruising for a bruising, going with the flow, getting enough rest

The Moon is void until 9:44AM EST when she moves into Pisces and we start building toward this Saturday's New Moon.

Nurtured through art, compassion, our intuition, spirituality, connection, rest, water (the absence of this stuff more keenly felt now) a Pisces Moon is like a 12th house Moon in that she fosters deep unconscious hungers.

The Moon isn't like the Sun. Our lunar needs have preceded our solar ones. Being able to express our Moon means being able to express our survival needs/appetites without having to justify them (the reasoning abilities/self awareness of the Sun).

If you see the Moon as I do, kind of the earth mother inside us - the instinctual principal who knows how to nourish and sustain life (with lunar mis-firings showing up within us in different ways, such as 'eating disorders', looking for nurturing in all the wrong places, hanging on to things too long, etc), her time every month in the dark - the balsamic Moon that carries us through the birth canal toward the New Moon - it's as if mother has gone away. Some people are not so bothered by this and soothed during balsamic Moon days, and they are certainly more conducive to rest, etc, and some people - and this can be more about the way a particular month's journey is interacting with your natal and vary from month to month - can feel un-rooted as mother's siesta triggers very early and intimate experiences of feeling "unsafe".

Our natal Moon's sign and house are very clear indicators of what we need to feel safe.

Our Pisces Moon's only aspect today is a square to Mars (at 4 degrees Gemini) at 6:16PM EST. Forewarned is forearmed - this frustration/tension could take the form of an argument/disagreement, maybe especially within partnerships/over contracts or commitments because the only other exact aspect today is the Sun (at 21 degrees Pisces) squaring Juno in Sagittarius.

A challenge/frustration - this is all mutable energy, so maybe the terms of an agreement/partnership/marriage or maybe a situation with a woman need to change. Things are in flux. With the Sun in Pisces, boundaries/edges are fuzzy and Sag is all soothed by being 'gung ho' for something better/bigger, so this is not really the time to be signing on the dotted line or getting into bed with someone/something. Let's get past this thing first and see what we've still got. The Pisces Sun will shine a light on new hopes/expectations and through the tension of the square show us what needs to be released/what is already fading.

Practice empathy. Release control. Take responsibility for your own needs (momma's napping). Accept the other person as they are. Go with the flow. Make art. Listen to music. How else can we work with these squares? Get enough rest/escape as needed.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 - getting past a block, talking it out, turning toward the facts

The Moon is in Aquarius now - we are nurtured by the unexpected, change, the future, our groups and causes. She trines a multi-tasking Mars in Gemini at 8:22AM EST, sextiles Chiron at 4:42PM EST, squares Aqua co-ruler Uranus at 5:06PM EST and meets up with Aqua's other co-ruler, Saturn, at 7:44PM EST.

Most of the day, spurred by that Mars/Gemini trine will likely be, at least mentally, busy/active. Words, communication, ideas are connecting/forward leaning. In the late afternoon as we move through that healing sextile with Chiron and head into a more frustrating square to Uranus - things could be a bit more bumpy. Independent work will likely go more smoothly than group situations.

This is also the day Venus (at 15 degrees Pisces), following in the Sun's path from last week, squares the Nodes. The square speaks of tension/frustration. The square to the nodes - a decision point/pivot point/something we need to get past before we can continue. With the South Node in Sag/North in Gemini - this might be about a belief we need to release (and keep in mind, this is Venus standing at the crossroad here, so our relationships, money, values, self-esteem, beauty, women, our natal Libra and Taurus house themes) as we turn toward something more factual, more local, more logical.

Maybe we are breaking something big and overwhelming down into multiple more doable things/a process. Maybe we need to release a "fading hope" and ACT (remember Mars is in Gemini, too, now) on the current facts. We are not taking that trip around the world right now, but what can we do? The mountains may be calling our name, but the neighborhood park is actually OPEN.

It might be time to talk about something we have been avoiding - that thing that has turned into the elephant in the living-room. Just having the conversation, rather than letting the thing continue to balloon itself around the coffee table, could be enough. This is a square so will be challenging/not so easy. Check out the lunar times in your area. Maybe you want to avoid that Uranus square around dinner time EST, because whatever you say will seem to the other person to have come out of nowhere. On the other hand maybe that's exactly when the conversation will happen/situation arise.

Venus has some very positive aspects coming up and to be lined up for them we have to get past this. Take some, maybe uncomfortable, action - the Moon in Aqua will help us be more detached/take things less personally and her trine to Mars in Gemini is very supportive.

More good news - Mercury in Aquarius is making her third (of three) sextile to Juno at 21 degrees Sagittarius. Something partnership or contract related or related to women is wrapping up. We had this aspect back in mid-January and mid-February. It was exact yesterday. This is another 'third time's the charm' opportunity. If the conversation didn't happen yesterday, if the agreement wasn't hammered out (and no hammering would have been involved) these planets are still in sextile today. Keep in mind Juno is in Sag looking at the greener pastures/needing some hope/optimism, a bigger PLAN and trining (brakes off) the Aqua energies (the future).

So, we are at a crossroads (Venus as us) needing to have the conversation, look at the facts, use our smarts here. Venus is in Pisces, EXALTED, we are more intuitive now, compassionate, magnetic. Relationship agreements are possible now and they will have been hard-earned. If we are trying to talk to someone about 'facts' and they are in lalaland (and we could as easily be the escape artist in this scenario), it might seem we are not getting very far, but maybe we will be (and just not know it yet) and one way or the other this shouldn't be avoided.

Juno speaks of tending the relationship with optimism/faith. Mercury with 'talk of the future'. Blend this stuff all together and come up with something workable.

Know today's Venus square (which is a repeating pattern from last week's Sun when something 'came to light') says something about love, money, our values or self-esteem needs to be dealt with. Some old belief released. Some new facts/information/conversation leaned into.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Monday, March 8th, 2021 - our ambitions, goals, opportunities, making space for the new dream and new responsibilities to find us, workin' it

The Moon is in productive and ambitious Capricorn today.

She sextiles the Sun at 5:14AM EST, Neptune at 9:40AM EST and goes void off her meeting with Pluto at 7:42PM EST. Lots of opportunity today if we put on those big girl/boy pants and SHOW UP.

Her sextile with the Sun is this month's Waning Sextile - this time Cappy/Pisces. Making the dream real. Coming down to reality. From their separating position this 'making the dream real' thing is likely to entail the release/letting go of dead outcomes (realized or otherwise), ambitions, responsibilities. This 'coming down to reality' thing is likely to entail some kind of reality check.

Cappy/Pisces carries the potent MAGIC of new beginnings, but can sometimes be felt as a kind of nothingness, abandonment, lack of inspiration - because it is from the very starkness of the long Cappy winter's vulnerability that the dream of Pisces (that this year will come through the chaotic Uranus/Saturn squares) is first attracted. So, what is calling to you? If you can't hear it yet, get rid of something. Still can't hear it? Get rid of something else. Make the space for this new dream to find you and it will. You truly don't have to go looking for it.

What will this 'making space' thing look like?

It might look like taking better care of yourself. Physically/mentally. Cleaning up a mess. It might look like de-cluttering your home, studio, closets, in-boxes. It might look like releasing your attention from something that is sucking your time/energy. It might look like spending time in larger places/spaces to create a feeling of spaciousness/room to move in your psyche. It might look like meditation/prayer/writing/singing/screaming. It might look like eliminating self-sacrificing crap, raising your prices, releasing responsibilities/commitments that have ended.

This 'making space' thing isn't about being passive and doing nothing. It isn't about walking away from responsibilities/commitments because they are challenging/hard.

In 2021 we are here, alive in these moments, to participate in CHANGE.

We do this by choosing/noticing what we are paying attention to (that Gemini North Node, being squared by multiple Piscean energies right now and we might have to seriously de-plug at times) and by arranging our life in order to take RESPONSIBILITY for what is seeking to move through us NOW. We don't have to move mountains because the mountains aren't our problem/responsibility. We only have to grow through the space we are in - fabricating our new visions (they are coming! stay open! not only new dreams, but new Cappy responsibilities are calling to us!) into reality; both individually and in collaboration (and sometimes through rebellion) with other people.

This stuff isn't easy because radical change (redistribution of power) isn't easy.

For today - think about combining the power of Capricorn ie our ambitions, career, public life, responsibilities, goals, reality, authority figures with Pisces ie our dreams, imaginings, magic, music, peace, compassion, connection. Our dreams need structure. Our structures need inspiration.

We imagine what we want to become and then go about the business of becoming it.

Also contemplate the waning/unwinding nature of today's Cappy/Pisces connections.

And keep in mind the universal LOVE of Pisces.

Keep your heart open, and yes, it'll get all leaky and sentimental and Cappy doesn't like to feel vulnerable - being the sign of WINTER, let's not forget (not because Cappy is mean, but because vulnerability is not Cappy's thing or she/he won't make it through the season!). The space between Cappy's stoicism and Pisces imaginings is Aquarius - the radical change that is coming/that is here. The space after is Aries - the birth of the NEW.

Today we receive the great gift of a productive and creative/compassionate Monday - what will we do with this?

Weekly Astrology Forecast | March 8th - 15th, 2021 - going with the flow, more wake-up calls as the Sun burns away our confusion/delusions, time for a glamourous new dream, being gentle with ourselves and compassionate with each other

These Pisces days are slipping right through our fingers, aren't they?

The Sun will be in Aries next week and it feels like we were just talking Aquarius, Aquarius, Aquarius. Well, not to worry because here's a week that's all Pisces all the time! And next week Mercury will finally be out of Aquarius and into Pisces - Pisces is kind of just getting started.

This is the week Venus (in Pisces) squares the Nodes, just like the Sun did last week. Then the Sun (in Pisces) meets Neptune. Then the Pisces Moon meets the Pisces Sun. Then Venus meets Neptune, just like the Sun did this week.

We are all going to need some extra sleep/rest this week. Don't say I didn't warn ya'.

TUESDAY - Venus squares the Nodes

WEDNESDAY - Sun conjuncts Neptune

SATURDAY - New Moon in Pisces, Venus conjuncts Neptune, Mercury leaves retrograde shadow

TUESDAY - Venus at 15 degrees Pisces squares the North (Gemini) and South (Sagittarius) Nodes

Venus, following in the Sun's footsteps from last week, now squares the Nodes of Fate. Here is a crossroads/decision point/pivot point with our money, values, relationships, resources or self-esteem (Venusian themes or natal Pisces house theme).

With Venus in imaginative/illusive Pisces, boundaries dissolve. Love/money flows. What we want can't be forced/grabbed/manipulated - we, almost magically, draw it right to us or maybe it flows right on past us to someone else. There could be some kind of decision to be made here.

The North Node in factual Gemini says it is time to get real/deal with the facts

(the Sun meeting Neptune tomorrow is kind of saying the same thing and we know when we are seeing multiple aspects repeating themselves we are onto something useful).

Maybe there is something we want and we haven't wanted to even admit to ourselves we want it or maybe there is something that isn't as good as we thought it would be or isn't really real and we haven't wanted to look at it too closely. The wide angle lens may have been more flattering (and a flattering wide angle lens doesn't sound actually possible, but stay with me here), but now the macro lens needs to be applied. Is there some Venusian reality we have been avoiding? Forget the greener grass over there, which I guarantee has been nurtured with poisonous Round-Up and instead think local/small, what you can prove/do that is right in front of you. With the North Node in Gemini, the wise girl will keep asking questions instead of thinking she has all the answers.

Gemini/Pisces - DEFINE then ALLOW. And expect to take two shots to get something right or to be doing two things at once or somehow this all involving doubles/pairs.

WEDNESDAY - the Sun, at 20 degrees Pisces, conjuncts Pisces ruler Neptune

Here is where Neptune is blown out by the Sun's bright rays.

Our confusion/delusion is BURNED AWAY (some inspiration might be, too!), sometimes JUST LIKE THAT.

Where am I? And what have I been drinking/believing?

Neptune/Sun says our intuition will be very high now. The Sun cuts through the Neptunian fog like a hot knife. We might be feeling more sensitive/nostalgic/aware of what we have lost ie the old story that is fading to black, (hopefully) the Moon in smart/detached Aquarius meeting both Jupiter and Mercury today - will focus us on the future, too, because -

Neptune starts a new solar year - a new story with the Sun.

Neptune is very strong/most Neptunian in his home sign of Pisces. Here is the very beginnings of a NEW DREAM. With imaginative and poetic Neptune meeting the Sun

an inspiration/creativity/spirituality can be IGNITED.

Whether we are leaning into the burn-out or feeling that spark of the new flame, things are pretty much out of our control anyway with this aspect, so relaxing and going with the flow is best. Avoid intoxicants because life will be intoxicating enough this week. Get enough rest.

SATURDAY - the Pisces Moon meets the Pisces Sun at 23 degrees (our final 23 degrees New Moon!) while Venus meets Neptune at 20 degrees Pisces

A transcendent New Moon in Pisces - we will talk about this BIG NEW MOON in her own post.

Keep in mind Pisces is really about endings. This is the last sign/the 12th house/the final curtain. So a Pisces New Moon will always be tinged with release/nostalgia. Even as something new is floating toward us, something else is floating away. Do we need to release/forgive? Show compassion? Do we have something to offer or someone to offer it to? Where are we? Can we tell?

This is also the day (EST), Venus meets Neptune in Pisces - although she's a little too close to the Sun for complete comfort, so a little burned out, (maybe didn't sleep well the night before, so not her most beautiful/charming self in such harsh light, but Venus in Pisces, even with these new-day crinkles and wrinkles and morning breath is still EXALTED) - this is a beautiful aspect to make a soulful connection. A timely release of something we once valued/loved. A fresh opportunity to value our creativity, our spirituality, our ancestral inheritance, the idealized feminine, our MAGIC. That dream is looking pretty freakin' attractive and so are we. Happening at the Pisces New Moon gives this one added OOMPH and extra staying power.

Keep in mind, Venus still has to meet the Sun, so some of the glamour here will get burned off when they meet in Aries later in the month - that's OK, we will be ready/and desirous of that cardinal fire when it gets here!

With Uranus (the future/the chaos) in Venus-ruled Taurus, at the end of the day it will be what we personally and collectively value (think about why the #metoo movement and Black Lives Matter movement and this burgeoning reworking of 'male purpose' that needs a catchy name, had to erupt when they did) that determines how the power gets redistributed (what the chaos is actually doing) over the next few years.

back with some big-picture stuff and New Moon post this week

painting by the talented Carol Bennett

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, March 5th, 2021 - the desire for something better, a wake-up call, old lessons/adventures coming in handy now, a time to choose, a time to finish what we started

The Moon moves through Sagittarius today - we are nurtured by optimism/hope, adventure, foreign situations/people, wisdom, religion, politics, ethics, that greener grass over there. She makes an opportunistic sextile to Saturn (authority, work, groups, the future) at 8:56AM EST and then goes on to square the Pisces planets - Venus at 10:58AM EST and finally the Sun at 8:30PM EST.

The square to the Sun is this month's Last Quarter Square - the Moon's final challenge with the Sun before next week's New Moon. This month - Sagittarius/Pisces.

At the same time the Sun is squaring the North and South Nodes and the Sag Moon is conjunct her South Node and so opposing her North.

We are at some kind of significant crossroads here.

With that Sag/Pisces square, our hopes could be fading a bit. We might feel tired/drained. Here is where Sag's natural yearning for more/better creates a BIG PICTURE wake-up call. Is there a delusion/fantasy/lie/doubt that needs to be released?

This is frustration/tension - a push to question what is true.

At the same time the Sun's square to the Nodes as the Moon conjuncts/opposes tells us some kind of block must be resolved before we move forward. The Moon is waning, something wants to get finished. And this thing we are finishing/taking care of/releasing is attached to an older/longer story we probably don't even remember. Childhood. Ancestral. The past is alive and sitting in our livingroom demanding our attention. These mutable squares will produce anxiety until we get past them with a decision.

The Moon is on the South Node and Sagittarius can be the wise sage, so what have we already learned that we can use now (that Gemini North Node) in maybe a smaller way. Focus on what is winding down/finishing. Next week's New Moon in Pisces is the start of a NEW DREAM and our final 23 degree New Moon. Mars is going to start trining the Aquarius planets, Venus is exalted and will be sextiling them, there are lots of positive aspects in March, so let's gently (this is Pisces season!) release what is no longer serving us - the fantasy, the doubt, the lie, the confusion, the past - and start to get this puppy back on the rails .....

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, March 3, 2021 - heartfelt changes, opening up, the pace quickens, pushed into the future, love and money can be found in unexpected places

The Moon is in Scorpio now - we are nurtured through going deep and feeling that we can handle what we find there, merging/purging, backdoor dealings, negotiations, merged finances/resources. She is a busy girl in Scorpio - trining Venus at 3:38AM EST, opposing Uranus at 4:21AM EST, squaring Saturn at 5:04AM EST, trining the Sun at 1:52AM EST, squaring Mercury at 7:01PM EST and finally squaring Jupiter at 8:21PM EST - you get the feeling a Scorpio's life must be pretty complicated these days, eh?

This is also the day Mars leaves grounded Taurus for communicative/busy Gemini - so it feels like a good day to get out of a rut. Mars will be in Gemini until April 23rd. This is an energetic time we could find ourselves focused on multiple things at once, choices, communication, writing, learning, teaching, sales, sibling interactions, pairs of things/situations, our local community, transportation/tech issues, our Gemini natal house themes. With Mars here we should feel more initiative/passion in these areas, but also probably more anger/angst. If we can avoid the 'argument' landmine built into this transit and realize alot of what is said and done might not stick around too long, we can get alot of immediate stuff accomplished with Mars here.

The Moon's trine to the Pisces Sun is our Monthly Waning Trine - Scorpio/Pisces. This are kind of flowing forward. The stuff we find in the deep Scorpio waters becomes easier to deal with when shared through Pisces connectivity. This is quietly potent. Trines remove any resistance, so we slip right into the deep waters. People can grow closer/slip apart. Finances merge or old resources/belongings slip away unneeded. Something within us can open. We can give in/give up, relax.

The rest of the lunar aspects are a mixed bag, mostly Aqua squares, so tension/frustration, pivot points within Aqua themes (or even with Uranian/Aquarian people) - either our natal Aquarius house theme or our groups/friendships, technology, the future. Things may not go as expected.

The good news - besides the waning trine - we also have Venus sextiling Uranus exact now. This will help with the changes (Aqua challenges) as what we want/desire is also shifting.

We talked about this in the weekly HERE.

Love and money can be found in unexpected places now.

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | March 1st - March 7th, 2021 - third chances, unexpected benefits, waking up to the facts, a turning point, new movement, the pace quickens

OK, what a week - we are really leaning into the future now. Let's dive right in!

TUESDAY - Mercury trine North Node

WEDNESDAY - Venus sextile Uranus, Mars into Gemini

THURSDAY - Mercury conjunct Jupiter (3rd time!)

FRIDAY - Sun squares North Node, Last Quarter Moon in Sagittarius

SUNDAY - Pallas into Pisces

TUESDAY - Mercury (words, communication, ideas, children, education, local community, transportation, siblings, tech) at 15 degrees Aquarius trines the North Node (way forward) in Gemini.

A GREEN LIGHT is flashing somewhere in your life.

This is the first of Mercury's two repeating aspects this week. A conversation/idea/information pulls things forward. An arrow at the words - this is the best choice. Well, it's maybe not that exacting, but something is a good idea here. And we will know it is a good idea because it is the idea we are having. It is what is happening NOW. A positive/forward leaning announcement. Good news. A beneficial conversation/contract. Say it again. Listen.

FORWARD movement.

WEDNESDAY - Venus at 7 degrees Pisces sextiles Uranus in Aries, Mars exits Taurus for Gemini

Venus (our love, money, resources, values, self-esteem, women, beauty) in watery Pisces, where she is EXALTED makes an opportunistic sextile to change-maker Uranus (in Taurus, so answering to Venus). We can very easily release control/let down our boundaries and open ourselves to something new/unusual.

What we perceive as beautiful is changing. What we love is changing. The way we view and make and hold onto our money and resources is changing. Our values are changing. What we need to feel safe/secure is changing.

Pisces changes are gentle. Uranian changes not so much. But beneficial Venus (through her rulership of Taurus) has been cushioning the blows for us since 2019

(yes, this is what cushioning looks like, go figure, I expected something, well something a little more cushiony actually),

but she isn't always in the soft environment she is now. So now, the change actually is cushiony.

In Pisces, change happens slowly. Our attachment to what is no longer needed kind of drifts away. "Oh did I want that? I can't remember anymore". Our acceptance of something new and unusual or something futuristic/liberating is much smoother/easier to absorb in boundary-less Pisces. Good energy for trying a new look, a new way to make money, meeting someone new (and different). And keep in mind, Venus is EXALTED in Pisces, I know I said that already, but really can't say it enough - so at her most attractive.

This is also the day fiery Mars leaves Taurus, where he (as we) has been kind of grinding his heels, and been in a kind of warrior mode protecting what we value. Now, he moves into energetic/frenetic mental Gemini. Mars in Gemini will have us running here and there. We can walk and chew gum at the same time now. More than one move is possible/more than one direction at once. This is the energy that loves multi-tasking. Keep in mind, too many balls in the air (especially during Pisces season), can be an exciting thing, until they are all in a pile at our feet. If everything is equally important than nothing is really important. Skills to prioritize and stay on track will come in handy. Mars will be happier in Gemini than in Taurus because he needs to move - and so do we now.

With Mercury (Mars in Gemini is answering to him/her) covering old ground until he comes out of his retrograde shadow on March 13th - alot of our energy could be spent on old situations for awhile. So, maybe we can say/do it differently this time.

Watch for flashes of temper and tricky situations to come and go quickly.

What is that old expression - don't get too worked up about the weather because it's about to change. With a mutable Sun, Mars and Venus, well, that's a good way to look at life right now. Stay flexible. Things are in flux. Mars will be in Gemini until April 3rd.

THURSDAY - Mercury at 17 degrees Aquarius meets Jupiter

Mercury (our thinking, ideas, communication, local community, education, children, transportation, tech) meets Jupiter (expansion, luck, wisdom) in Aquarius (the future, tech, groups, causes, individuality).

This isn't our first rodeo.

We lived this aspect back on January 11th, 2021 when something expanded -

here is what I wrote back then, this was the week we were talking about 'the change that was worth the trouble'  - "GOOD NEWS. Lucky conversations/ideas. Being in the right place at the right time. Saying just the right thing. Whatever is going on now brings the opportunity to heal very old and very deep wounds. Chiron sextiles are one of the major stories of 2021 and having this one happening as Mercury and Jupiter launch a new/hopeful story is a good thing".

Then Mercury met Jupiter a second time on Valentine's Day when Mercury was retrograde

(at 13 degrees Aquarius, here is where things may have retracted a bit or we might have been looking under the hood/going back over something, we had more information - things maybe weren't as good/or as bad as they seemed back in January).  Their third meeting is today.

In the United States we had Trump getting impeached at the first pass last month (Pelosi announcing intention), then his acquittal at the second pass this month and now on the final pass, he is speaking at CPAC (annual Conservative Political Action Conference), so back on the center stage. Does it matter? It might. I noticed on Election Day 2024, transiting Jupiter is exactly conjunct his North Node. I. Kid. You. Not. There is alot of ground to be covered between now and then though. We have to trust this ride we are on, there's no comfortable exit and I suspect our ticket is not refundable.

Anyhoo, let's pull this story back to OURSELVES.

Because Mercury meeting expansive Jupiter again - is a second THIRD chance for all of us, too.

Third time's the charm, baby. Think BIG. Think FUTURE.

This is good news/confidence boosting words - maybe something that has been in play/on our mind since mid-January(?) - well here is the confirmation, more grounded in reality now, about this OPPORTUNITY and the REAL START of this Mercury/Jupiter in Aquarius story.

FRIDAY - the Sun at 15 degrees Pisces squares the North Node in Gemini and South Node in Sag, Last Quarter Moon 15 degrees Sagittarius

Well, the week can't be all puppies and cotton candy.

Here's a block/crisis/reality check that must be dealt with before we can move forward.

The North Node is in factual (but local, think - small), communicative and flexible Gemini, this, and your natal Gemini house theme, is your way forward. The Sun, in imaginative, spiritual and connecting/compassionate Pisces is our fuel to get there. Now, we are at some kind of choice point/turning point. Are we looking with our 2020 (!) hindsight or with our rose-colored glasses? Are we going with the facts or still escaping into lala-land? Are we making the call, having the conversation, using our words or are we going back to sleep/Netflix? This might not be so cut and dried because with Neptune squaring the Nodes, the facts are slippery, but are we moving toward the future? Or the past?

With TWO important aspects to the Nodes this week - it might be a good time to re-read THIS.

At the same time the Sun has reached an important decision point, the Moon is having her own crisis. She reaches her monthly last quarter square. This is the Moon in Sagittarius square the Sun in Pisces. This feels a bit like 'hope fading', but maybe a desire for more/better makes us question what is unrealistic/fantastical.

THIS IS REPEATING the Sun's square really. Time to wake up from the delusion/paranoia and look at the big picture AND the nitty-gritty facts.

SUNDAY - Pallas leaves Aquarius for Pisces

More Pisces!

With Pallas in the watery/intuitive realm of Pisces - we get smarter using our imagination, meditation, prayer, our dreams, music, our proximity to someone else's wisdom - yes, osmosis, I'm talking tactical/useful osmosis. Inspiration. Intuition. We always have access, but now we can make some calculated use of it. Our Pisces natal house, normally a kind of free-floating place is now home to our wise warrior energy. Write down your dreams. Get some extra sleep/into the water/escape as needed. We need to be able to go with the flow/release our grip on the solid/here and now. Pallas will station retrograde in Pisces (27 degrees) in July and not direct until November (9 degrees) so will be in Pisces for the rest of the year.

The fly in the ointment, and there's always a fly (even in the winter) and always some ointment (even as the store shelves clear) - Pallas's vision in Pisces can be a little too fuzzy. Objects can be closer than they appear. We might see patterns that don't exist. Connect unconnected dots. Pisces rules things that spread like viruses and we now have our wise warrior woman here until 2022 (a good thing I think, but we'll just remember the whole thing about connecting unconnected dots) plus our Pisces house (we had Mercury and Ceres playing tag team here in 2020) smartens up.

Again, this is kind of reinforcing yesterday's WAKE UP/SMARTEN UP aspects and giving them a longer playing field.

xo all

please excuse any typos, each time I re-read I find another one, and it's too late for coffee ... also make sure you are getting enough rest/sleep now - we might all be more tired than usual as the Moon wanes toward the final New Moon of the astrological year (the final 23 degree New Moon!) on March 12th ...

Full Moon in Virgo | February 27, 2021 - divine justice, fix it or forget it, adjustments to our responsibilities, KNOWING we don't heal by ourselves or only ourselves

On Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 3:17AM EST, the Virgo Moon opposed the Pisces Sun at 8 degrees giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in Virgo.

Full Moons bring things to light, to peak energy, to a result, sometimes to a conclusion.

The Moon and Sun oppose from 8 degrees Virgo/Pisces. They exactly square asteroid Nemesis, who forms the focus of a mutable t-square. The Moon conjuncts (exact) asteroid Aphidas, trines Uranus (separating) and inconjuncts Chiron (in Aries). The Sun conjuncts (separating) beneficial Venus. Mercury, the ruler of Virgo and so the ruler of this lunation, has recently stationed direct, but is still covering old ground in Aquarius.

Is there such a thing as old ground in Aquarius, well, yes, yes there is actually!

He/she (Mercury is a little hard to pin down in this respect) is strong enough in Aqua and conjunct beneficial Jupiter (applying for the THIRD TIME - third time's the charm?). In Aquarius, Mercury is answering to Saturn and Uranus, so they could be said to rule this new Moon by disposition. Saturn is in Aquarius, too, exactly conjunct asteroid Hybris. Uranus is in Taurus, trining the Moon, squaring Saturn and conjunct asteroid Koronis (another tested stand-in for the virus, applying). Mars is exactly conjunct asteroid Sedna (in Taurus) and they are squaring (separating) Pluto - the last man standing in Cappy. Uranus in Taurus is answering to Venus, exalted in Pisces and answering to Neptune in his own sign. Whew!

Take a breath. Grab a cup of something. Let's unpack this baby.

Virgo is all about doing the right thing or doing the thing right. Virgo naturally rules our day to day activities, our work, our health. In Virgo we gain dignity and self respect from being good at something that is useful to other people (those who think Virgos are fussy or nitpicky, and they can be sometimes, are totally missing the point and also forgetting we all have Virgo in our charts).

The shadow for Virgo is the trap of perfectionism, criticism and "control" (Virgo's careful attention to detail and caring taken to a detrimental extreme) - something we learn in Virgo's polarity (opposite) sign of Pisces to release. In our hero's journey through the zodiac, there appears to be a whole lot of steps (and signs) between Virgo and Pisces, but being two sides of the same coin the distance is not so very far at all. The real vs the ideal/fantasy. What we can fix/heal vs what we just need to release/let go and let God.

A Full Moon in Virgo leaves no where for those pesky problems to hide. As the Sun is occulted, the Moon is showing us, through a Virgo lunar lens what the Sun is actually seeing in Pisces. A rare gift since Pisces is so illusive. Have we been looking through rose-colored glasses? Avoiding? Escaping? Sacrificing too much? Are there health/work issues we need to fix/heal/release? Chiron's aspects here (and Chiron might one day be said to rule Virgo) speak of our ability to see the way our very old woundings have contributed to where we now find ourselves. With Virgo/Pisces this could be something about seeing clearly our responses to reality and this being made plainly clear to us with whatever it takes - a late notice, clothes that don't fit, high blood pressure, work stresses. We might need to fix/edit or we might need to wave a white flag of surrender. It's a time to put down burdens that are no longer ours to carry OR stop avoiding/escaping from the service/work.

The Full Moon is just off that smooth trine to Uranus - change pushing us forward. Then she squares the Nodes - a choice - but the Moon is Full, so this shouldn't be a hard choice, at least not in the sense of knowing what to do. We do know what to do. Mercury is walking these Aqua degrees for the THIRD time. Whatever is unfinished - maybe because of this draining/reality tweaking Neptune square to the Nodes of Fate, good God when will this end?! - we need to be done with this thinking/overthinking. We probably need to focus on what is most productive. The nitty gritty. This is Virgo - what makes the most sense? Mercury is going to meet Jupiter - opportunity/luck/expansion - ONE FINAL TIME in the week ahead - third time's the charm folks - use it or lose it!

We will talk about this more in the weekly.

The Asteroids are particularly interesting this month. Asteroid Nemesis is EXACTLY squaring the Moon/Sun from 8 degrees Sagittarius (somehow I printed this chart without her, but she's there!). In modern language usage nemesis speaks of an enemy/competitor and surely someone/something is playing that role now here, but the mythology of Goddess Nemesis is a bit different. She was said to be the Goddess of something like due enactment (karma) ensuring no one received too much of a good thing, that the goodies were more evenly disbursed and she was particularly focused on punishing acts of hubris. I also see her speaking of the way we feel the need to meet some rule in order to be "of service" or consider ourselves valuable/valued.

Nemesis brings us to asteroid Hybris (hubris) - Goddess of foolish pride/arrogance. She speaks of being called to account for stepping beyond the boundaries of the gods. But much is changing and this is a complex idea right now. So many people are afraid of their own power and fear being called narcissistic/selfish. We have been so conditioned to follow authority/to love/honor/obey. She is conjunct Saturn, so might we be doing reverse-hubris? Are we taking false humility too far both personally and collectively? Or do we really just need to be less of an asshole.

Another asteroid prominent at this Full Moon is asteroid Aphidas - a centaur, we talked about in a missing children post HERE. Killed by a thrown sword (after the centaurs drunken rampages at the wedding of Pirithous and Hippodamia) and known for his death while asleep, likely drunk and unlikely innocent - he is thought to possibly speak of 'not being spared' since he was no threat at the time he was killed. I also think he might speak of a part of us that is asleep to what we have previously done when the payment for that doing comes due. If you get what I mean. The Asteroids certainly provide a clearer picture, and somehow muddy the water at the same time, go figure.

The Full Moon in Virgo at its simplest, and its next aspect square to the Nodes bears this out, is about - defining the reality of the situation (here is what is illuminated) and asking ourselves if we can realistically improve/help to heal this situation and if the answer is yes, and it very well may be, especially if we have been working with and adjusting to the changes/disruptions - and then do whatever it is that needs to be done. And, if the answer is no, we can't fix this/heal this. And, let me say it this way - we can't REALISTICALLY fix this/heal this (this is a realistic Moon, put the rose-colored glasses in the drawer for this one) - then releasing this burden - what we can't have/can't fix/can't change - let go and let God. Either way an adjustment is needed to our responsibilities/burdens (the Saturn inconjunct in this chart) and the adjustment will bring greater freedom or needed change. What we don't need - the Mercury third time through Aquarius - is more overthinking/detachment/worry that keeps us stuck.  And with Mercury, ruler of this lunation, set to make one final play with expansive, optimistic and lucky Jupiter next week - some THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM good luck/good news with this one.

Today's astrology Forecast for Creatives | Thursday, February 25, 2021 - energized by our imagination and intuition, making the dream real, gentle change

The Moon in Leo (girls just wanna have fun!) finishes up her oppositions with this month's Aquarius stellium - opposing Mercury at 4:45AM EST and then Jupiter at 11:40AM EST. We can enjoy the fun-loving and creative Leo Moon, but our responsibilities to the collective/group and to the future that beckons/pulls us forward won't be pushed aside.

There are two BIG astro events today - Venus makes her move into Pisces - the sign of her EXALTATION (early AM EST) and our Pisces Sun sextiles (opportunity) chaotic Uranus in Taurus.

We talked at length about Venus in Pisces HERE

The Sun's sextile to Uranus is hot off the back of yesterday's exact and potent Mars/Pluto trine. What cosmic magic is this?! And I very much love any positive aspect between something in Pisces - and the Sun is a pretty big and powerful SOMETHING - and an earth sign. Making the dream real. Magic makes its way down to earth and lands at our feet. With Uranus answering to benefic Venus, freshly minted in the sign of her exaltation, and with a waxing Moon in Leo, this aspect is even better.

Keep in mind Uranus is about change/the future/being ourselves (the chaos is really us not wanting to change/let go and letting go is kind of Pisces deal - she can help with this). Pisces is about going with the flow - we can't force whatever this is. We just want to be doing our Pisces - using our intuition, compassion, connection, imagination, creativity, meditation, prayer, forgiving/giving (plus our Pisces natal house theme).

A soft light is thrown on our future. We can more easily let go of what is leaving. If our hands need to be freed up for something else they are needing to hold onto later, here is where the release can be more gentle. It slides right out of our hands.

With Uranus in Taurus (our money, resources, values, self-esteem, plus our Taurus natal house theme) interacting with the softness of Piscean water - change is good/easy. We can do this. An opportunity in earth likely requires some kind of movement on our part (and Pisces some openness) - and BOOM we have Mars (action) in Taurus, too (practical action), plus he is interacting with powerful Pluto, to handle this part.

Action/initiative/passion is empowering.

Keep in mind water (Pisces) and earth (Taurus) can make bricks but also mudslides. Pisces is the slippery slope, your mother (and accountant and astrologer) warned you about. Spending $10 turns into $100. One sip into the whole bottle. A kiss into a fast trip to Vegas (although I guess this isn't happening so much anymore).

We can lay down for ten minutes and wake up five hours later. Creativity flourishes - we don't want to sleep our way through this one.

Unless you are very, very tired and sometimes we are and in this case, and if you do, remember your DREAMS, write them down, because your muses/angels will find/need some way to reach you!

Today's Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Wednesday, February 24, 2021 - taking action, taking control, even with all the challenges right now something falls into place when we do

The Moon is void until 7:3AM EST when she moves into fun-loving, generous and egoic Leo. Here is where we are nurtured by standing out, being creative, getting attention, romance, children, recreation. With all the Aquarius and Taurus energy challenging Leo right now, our Leo Moon can't be her gregarious self. She will square Uranus at 8:49PM EST and oppose Saturn at 9:52PM EST. She will continue the oppositions and squares into Friday morning when she goes void off a square with Mars at 6:32AM EST.

So, the Moon is having these Leo/Aquarius challenges - how we stand out/how we enjoy or create, etc vs collective/group needs. We want to have fun/follow our heart, but we have these restrictions/responsibilities. She also is having Taurus squares pulling our actions/change and our money, resources, values and self-esteem into the mix. There are lots of ways this can show up. This is your natal/progressed Leo,  Aquarius and Taurus house themes at play (and yes, the play may not be so much fun).

Before the Moon makes any of these aspects she will inconjunct our Pisces Sun. This happened while we slept last night EST, and influences the day.

Our monthly waxing inconjunct. This time - Leo/Pisces. Inconjuncts are rocks and hard places. They don't fit. Pisces soft touch/compassion can be an entrance into Leo's generosity and certainly Leo would never get close enough to be vulnerable without Pisces, but mostly these guys' attributes are kind of at cross-purposes. This might show up now as a need to be appreciated for something we have been sacrificing for. Being part of our monthly lunar story we know this is important as we build toward this week's Full Moon. We need to be flexible. Work both sides of the personal/universal themes here.

The good news today, and the way through the lunar challenges, is the Mars/Pluto trine (brakes off) at 6 degrees Taurus/Capricorn. This is powerful. Keep in mind Mars is the lower octave of Pluto making this particularly potent. Pluto pulls our martian action, initiative, anger, aggression down into the darkness and makes us stronger. Aligns us with our unconscious motivations. Our actions align with our obsessions - and this sounds like trouble and it can be, but not this time. This time it is needed. WHAT DO YOU FEEL COMPELLED TO DO? And why do we really want to do this/hold onto this? The resistance fades (trines should be smooth/easy) as we understand what was once hidden.

We get it now.

This is an earth trine, so we still need to be practical/do the work, but things will fall into place when we do. When we step into our power/take control of what we can control. This particular Mars/Pluto story actually kicked off back in late March 2020. NOW we have reached the point where we have more control/a deeper understanding of Mars/Pluto's part in the 2020's (the decade not the year) restructuring of our life ....

This is ambitious/courageous energy.

On a more basic level (because everything is happening on multiple levels) this can be about taking action with a Plutonian theme - merged money, other people's money/resources, taxes, insurance, inheritances, sex, reproduction, what needs to be purged, life/death or a Cappy theme - our career and work in the world. For example, my hub's business closed last year. It's been a long process to figure out it won't be re-opening. The loose ends are tangling us/strangling us more than the actual lost business at this point, so any action we can take now to tidy up these ends (for example I am closing the business bank account today and moving the money into our personal account) is a good idea. Productive. Powerful. Moves things forward. This doesn't have to be some big thing, but the thing that looks like a small thing won't really be a small thing, if that makes sense.

More in the weekly on the trine HERE.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Monday, February 22, 2021 - feeling all the feels and going with the flow today

The Moon is comfy/cozy in her home sign of Cancer now. We are nurtured through things that are most conventionally nurturing - home, family, safety, comfort. Mom and apple pie. The next couple days, while the Moon is in Cancer, we might find ourselves a little more emotional/moody as we take stock of our feelings. We might feel a bit nostalgic/more conservatively inclined.

(with all the significators for the virus interacting with the United States natal chart this week, it is no surprise the United States, a Cancer country, is reaching - feels/notices/absorbs - an emotional milestone now)

Lunar people (born at night, strong Moon, strong Cancer, etc), who might be more attuned to viewing through the lunar lens, due to the Moon's position in their birth chart - can focus on the cyclical/changeable nature of reality and this might seem the dominant characteristic of life. Security, natural cycles, the warmth of another human being's touch, food and a safe space can be more important than any abstract quest for meaning (a more solar life) because life truly must be coped with day-to-day. Lunar people are especially gifted at keeping their feet on the ground and dealing with changing events and people in a sensible and compassionate manner. Taken to an extreme, or overly stressed, we can sometimes get stuck 'in our Moon' and it is harder for us to look beyond our personal/or immediate circumstances.

As we move toward a Full Moon moment (like we are this week)/things coming to a fruition, we can be assured there is a past/a system of cycles that led us to this moment. There was a hidden beginning (the New Moon) when the seed was planted under the dark skies. There were times of development/challenges as she waxed (grew). And we can know there is a future (where rot sets in and she wanes) past the Full Moon where something reaches its inevitable end. The Moon in our chart, and her placement, house of rulership, aspects, etc - speaks of our past lives, our maternal heritage, our emotional temperature.

Today, the Moon trines the Pisces Sun (trines are smooth flows and happen between signs of the same element) at 6:46AM EST.

Cancer/Pisces is an easy flow of emotions/sentiment, but things can get pretty wet. The family is integrated into the larger whole. Our lens widens. Compassion/intuition the final ingredients in our two-week New Moon in Aquarius story-line.

The Moon moves on this afternoon to square Chiron (ouch) and sextile (opportunity) Uranus. Keep in mind, that painful square to Chiron (in Aries) is part of the process. Let's welcome it. Maybe let's think - "oh my, that hurt, so why does that hurt?". The Moon in Cancer (symbolized by the sea crab) can like her protective shell (she carries her home with her remember), sometimes a little too much.

Today's final lunar aspect is a productive sextile to Uranus in Taurus (1:08PM EST) and speaks of opportunities through change/the new. Something unexpected. The Moon is waxing. We are growing/moving forward.

Repeat after me - I can change. I can change. I can change.
