Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of March 29th, 2021 - April 4, 2021 - healing old wounds, opportunities with love and money, our way forward gets shored up, our thinking/the story changes

MONDAY - Sun conjunct Chiron, Mercury conjunct Neptune

TUESDAY - Venus sextile Saturn

WEDNESDAY - Venus sextile North Node, Sun sextile Saturn

THURSDAY - Sun sextile North Node

FRIDAY - Mercury sextile Pluto

SATURDAY - Mercury into Aries

Look at all those sextiles (opportunities) folks! Let's unpack the week!

On MONDAY, the Sun meets Chiron at 8 degrees Aries, while Mercury meets Neptune at 21 degrees Pisces

We talked about Monday HERE - note, Monday is the day this is most exact, this has been building for a while and will spend some time unwinding. You probably want to read it.

TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY - Venus, at 11 degrees Aries, sextiles (opportunity) Saturn, at 11 degrees Aquarius then moves on to sextile the North Node at 12 degrees Gemini, then following Venus's lead the Sun sextiles Saturn and then moves on to sextile the North Node.

The Venus/Saturn is OPPORTUNITY - here is where our NEW wants/love/resources become more stable/serious/in tune with the collective/in tune with the future. Yes, there are responsibilities and limits here, too, but with the sextile's smooth flow - this shouldn't be overly cumbersome and look what we are already dealing with! Aries/Aquarius sextiles are fire/air, so enabled through passionate words/language/ideas. Being independent, but acting collectively/maybe within a group. Yesterday's Mercury/Neptune is still in play, so something might be hidden or not quite as ideal as it could seem now, so keep that in mind - and our ideas/thinking/plans are subject to some changes at the end of the week as Mercury joins the Aries party, but there is something REAL here, too - something that will last/we can count on it.

As Venus is moving off her sextile to Saturn the Sun is moving into his sextile, as Venus moves off her North Node sextile, the Sun moves into his own sextile with the North Node. Here is our solar energy/our independent spirit in harmony with the group/our future as our path forward grows more solid.

Venus is not so strong in Aries and being this close to the Sun is burning her out, but the Sun is EXALTED in Aries and benefits from Venus. This period of time is a gift to us. Decide. Move forward. Commit. Firm something up. The Gemini North Node is flexible, can offer multiple ways forward - remember the Full Moon energy (in play now) HERE - starting from ourselves/our source and this giving us the ability to make any direction the right direction!

This is Venus (relationships, money, our resources, values, self-esteem, women) and the Sun (our ego, our fuel, ourselves, our father/authority) connecting with Saturn, strong in his home sign - so adding structure, longevity, stability, authority (and, yes, limits and responsibilities - we can't do/have everything) and then connecting with the North Node (our path forward). With Mercury in foggy Pisces we don't have to KNOW what we want. With Mercury in foggy intuitive Pisces we can feel what we want (it's what we've always wanted, what we all want) and Venus/Sun can give us the motivation, initiative, courage to make a move in a new direction. If something comes along - say YES.

On FRIDAY - Mercury at 26 degrees Pisces now, moves into her/his sextile with Pluto (in Cappy).

The stage is set for honest communications, so here's where the conversation deepens/intensifies. Information is power. Our compassionate words are powerful. We can be more persuasive. Money talks. If something is fading to black, here are the final smoky wisps out the door. Pisces/Cappy is the idealistic dreamer and the practical, seasoned pro working together. Building the dream. Making a sacrifice for the goal.

If the Mercury/Neptune has pulled us off course, here is where we might get a gentle reality check.

On SATURDAY - Mercury finally gets out of the Pisces soup (a sign of his detriment) and begins a new cycle in fiery Aries.

The conversation/our thinking changes/sharpens.

New plans. New ideas. Mercury in Aries is so fast, she/he can solve problems before we even know we have a problem! This is going to be a fast transit (only through April 19th), but that's all we will need for our thinking/the conversation/ideas to SHIFT.

Our language and thinking becomes more focused, clear-headed and passionate. Mercury in Aries puts our instinct into words. Our mind gets faster. Our tongue gets sharper. Words get pushy. It is easier to speak up for ourselves and ask for what we want/need.

We can also more easily pick an argument as language becomes more competitive. Mercury in Aries says, "I know what I think and THIS is what I think."

The silence that was so golden in Pisces - gets broken in Aries.

The best use of this transit would be saying what we really think - and yes, this can get us into trouble, so we won't be an ass about it - keep in mind Aries' impulses can be either self-aggrandizing and immature or sparking a needed fire, solving a problem (fire brings fresh insights), initiating a new course of study and creating a bold, 'hot-off-the-press' plan. The choice is ours.

Think - fresh start with Mercury themes - words, thinking, writing, learning, teaching, ideas, sibling issues, transportation, your local community. Also bringing fresh words and fresh thinking into your Aries house theme already smoking hot with the Sun and Venus. AND probably best of all with Mercury in Aries answering to Mars and Mars in Gemini answering to Mercury - both Mars and Mercury are empowered/stabilized.

In another week, big-daddy Saturn himself will trine the North Node and we'll be looking at the New Moon in Aries - the kickoff for a new lunar year with lots of positive energy - it's going to be BIG.

FULL MOON in Aries | October 1, 2020 - a BIG month kicks off, a light on what hurts, accepting what is, being self-centered without being an asshole, leaning into the magic, a turning point, the fuse is lit

"I'd rather be whole than good." ... C.G. Jung ...

October is bookended by two BIG Full Moons - one in Aries on October 1st and one in Taurus on October 31st. The first, conjunct Chiron (our wounded masculine, ouch), the second conjunct Uranus and Black Moon Lilith (change, chaos, female power/rejection, can you say October surprise?). And in between a HUGE New Moon in Libra.

Have I said before October is going to be a BIG month?! Maybe the biggest month of 2020.

Yes, I think I did!

The Full Moon is always a time of cosmic tension - the Moon opposes the Sun. The Moon is in Aries at 9 degrees (answering to a retrograde Mars in his home sign - initiative, passion, courage, anger, violence, independence). The Sun, opposing from 9 degrees Libra answering to Venus at the end of Leo (and look at her exactly conjunct the descendant of the Full Moon chart drawn for Washington D.C. - other people, open enemies, oh my). This is the culmination of the Aries New Moon that launched the lunar year back in April, so maybe something from that time is finishing up.

Feels like years ago, doesn't it? Time has kind of swallowed us up, so it probably was!

At the time of the Full Moon - situations peak, culminate, come to light, conclude.

Results are delivered.

And this month we have Saturn stationing direct just hours before! Whoosh - the tables turn.

Let's unpack the chart.

The Moon opposes the Sun - Aries/Libra at 9 degrees. Me vs we. How we partner. How we balance and share. Is justice just? An Aries Moon is raw/impulsive/self-centered. The energy can make us antsy and accident-prone.

The Moon is conjunct Chiron - the aspect is waning. The Moon is semi-sextile Uranus (exact) - the Sun inconjunct. Mars, ruler of Aries and so ruler of this lunation is retrograde in Aries, exactly conjunct Eris and squaring Saturn and the Capricorn pile-up, trining Venus and sextiling the North Node. I've been adding in asteroids lately if exact and the Sun is exactly conjunct asteroid Apophis (the Moon exactly opposed), so we'll take a look at that.

The Moon is conjunct wounded healer Chiron - a weakness, a fear, a vulnerability is illuminated now.

An old familial wound, the scab freshly picked and throbbing. We might need to stand up for ourselves/assert our right to be here/to fit in. Hidden vulnerabilities/wounds are made public under the Full Moon's beams (this is waning so the actual exposure has already happened, but it will play out over the course of the Full Moon - the next two weeks and also the next six months). Think about Trump's tax returns coming out and showing he makes less money/is less valuable than he claimed to (he has a natal 2nd house Chiron which rules money/resources/values, so an old familial wounding around his VALUE/his resources - fear of poverty, familial new money devalued by New York's old money society).

So, our private/personal (Mars) vulnerabilities/wounds (Chiron) are made public/come into the light (the Full Moon). This can also be about our actions/re-actions and their backlash or our own regrets. For some, this could play out as an injury/illness since Mars/Aries rules our collective first house of our physical body. With Mars retrograde this would probably be an old injury that acts back up or gets re-injured and this could have already happened and is now playing out.

Whatever this is for us, the Full Moon allows us to see this clearly and in real-time. Our insecurities, our lack of motivation/passion/courage, our physical shortcomings - the light goes HERE.

Saturn stations direct just hours before the Full Moon. Daddy's home.

A retrograde Mars (ruler of Aries and this Full Moon) is squaring Saturn - this is also waning, but only barely - this is old responsibilities, commitments. A tennis match so many of us are watching/playing between anger and depression. On the one hand Saturn is savings our asses (and reputation) from a misguided Mars impulsivity and on the other hand this is also the authoritarian strategy of divide and conquer that WANTS Mars (as us) to be out there fighting/chasing his tail. Nothing is ever just one thing. There are limits here. Controlled burning - maybe. But also fires getting stoked. This is within the collective, but also within our own home and our own HEAD.

What does all this mean?

This Moon is actually kind of simple - we have the Chiron wounding - which we can see in ourselves/in other people. We need to take ownership of our own crap/fear here, but not take on anyone else's crap. The Moon is really as simple and as complicated as that. It takes COURAGE (Aries) to take responsibility for our own issues. It also takes courage to not take on other people's issues. We want to be self-centered now, and self-centered meaning exactly that - centered in ourselves.

With Saturn/Pluto squaring it will be our old paternal/maternal power struggles that we are re-enacting with partners/with life. Maybe we notice this, maybe we don't. Either way we can choose to not engage with the energies at the level of 'blame' (and this includes blaming ourselves because these are very deeply buried patterns - that once kept us alive - that we are recreating) or we can go 'all in' with this stuff and dig ourselves an even bigger hole. Blame other people, blame our parents, the government, yada-yada. Or we can go 'all in' and take on the ownership of this wound as if we are the wound! So, let's not do that either. Let's not double-down on this stuff.

If we are going to be truly ourselves - better whole than good (as Jung would say), other people may not be so happy about it. This isn't about being a selfish asshole, but we are going to have to get angry sometimes. Maybe even very angry. And we are going to have to find ways to work with these feelings that aren't destructive. And, that don't allow this personal and collective tension and stress to dump directly into our nervous system and impact our health or force impulsive choices.

Jupiter has been holed up all year in Cappy, Saturn's house. It's like having Santa Claus living with Scrooge and instead of making toys at the North Pole he's busy doing his taxes ... for a year. But right now - and this becomes exact next week - he has a beneficial sextile to ancient ruler Neptune and since this aspect is applying, it is stronger than the waning aspects we have already talked about.

Neptune brings compassion/a higher purpose/connection to our past/our ancestors/our unconscious memories that we carry in our DNA of all the good things we have ever done or wanted to do. Jupiter brings the luck that comes from confidence. Now sextiles require some action - and this will be our Cappy house and our Pisces house - we talked about this/and felt this yesterday through our Pisces Moon aspecting Saturn and Pluto. Making the dream real. Stabilizing the confusion. Responsibilities forcing us out of our lethargy. Magic. Lining up with divinity. The reality police WAKE US UP. This brings opportunities, so don't hit the snooze button. We are either replaying old karma or moving into our destiny.

The New World requires we be living an authentic life. It's the only requirement really. If we think someone else has to change or they have to do something for us to be happy - we have set our ladder against the wrong wall. We have to move that damn ladder! This month will go much easier if we are trusting God/life/the Universe. We have to trust the process. Keep in mind Chiron's healing comes through acceptance of the wound. Meeting life where it is. Here's my damn ladder. Let's stay centered in our breath.

Full Moons are culminations and with Saturn stationing direct we are at a TURNING POINT. Pray. Meditate. And don't be afraid to confront what hurts - an Aries Moon is brave/independent. We want to be standing in our own shoes now.

(and just as I write this I remember this morning's dream where I was in college and trying to navigate steep stairs, which were more like the bars on a kid's jungle gym and wearing de-stabilizing spikey heels - me in high heels!? - and it was getting late and I had to be somewhere else/maybe home (?), but at the same time had very important information to deliver and kept running into the people who needed it - woke up later than I have in years and feeling refreshed, but lost in the pressure of the dream)

This is a wonderful and bittersweet Full Moon to get out and walk in, so let's do that! We can see Mars easily, too, now, retrograde he is at his closest position to the Earth.

xo all - (back with an October post and we'll look at the mid-month and covid)

I just realized I never got to asteroid Apophis and now that I've looked into him, I can see why! He is exactly conjunct the Sun and opposing the Full Moon, so let's look at his mythology and see if he can add anything to our celestial weather forecasting.

Apophis - and we are reaching back to ancient Eqyptian mythology here - also known as Apep was a Great Serpent and enemy of the Sun God Ra. He attacked Ra's great ship every night in an attempt to kill Ra and prevent the sunrise. He is associated with chaos, storms, darkness, death. And in modern days, he is also associated with terrorism.

Because Apophis was thought to have always existed - he swam in the dark waters of undifferentiated chaos (to quote ancient.eu here) before creation started. Creation - duality/order - angered Apophis, I guess being used to a disorderly, but unified whole. After creation there were opposites - day and night, light and dark, good and bad, female and male. He thought if he could swallow the Sun (light being the first sign of divine "order") he could return the world to the 'unity' of darkness/chaos.

Interesting (North Node in Gemini stay curious!) that he would be exactly conjunct the Sun and oppose the Moon at the Aries Full Moon as we proceed through this last chapter of 2020, which ends with Jupiter meeting Saturn on the winter solstice at 0 degrees Aquarius (the New World, in the sign of equality and also chaos). We'll talk more about this in the October posts!

the meaning of the astrology of the new moon in aries | April 1, 2022 - an important and imperfect beginning motivated by what hurts, time to start

On Friday, April 1, 2022, at 2:24AM EDT the Aries Moon meets the Aries Sun giving us this month's New Moon; our annual New Moon in Aries - kicking off the lunar year.

We think of Aries as the warrior/competitor, but Aries energy isn't really about winning or losing (maybe don't tell this to an Aries Sun sign, because Aries WANTS to win) - Aries is really about having the COURAGE to start that race/face the battle in the first place. Aries supports jumping in and taking action. He doesn't promise us that we will come out a winner or even come out alive (yes, he's ruled by Mars and he's totally bad-ass), but he does promise us we will have evolved from the experience. And that's what we're here for. We didn't come for the outcome, the outcome has already been decided. We all win in the end. We came for the experience. Aries knows this.

A New Moon in Aries gives us energy, confidence, initiative, courage. It's a time to step up and be ourselves. A flame is lit (cardinal fire).     IT'S TIME TO START!

Let's unpack the chart.

The New Moon is just coming off her meeting with Mercury and sextile to Vesta. So, in the lead-up to Friday's New Moon some information comes in/a conversation happens/maybe a decision is made (this could show up as an argument, but it doesn't have to, words can also be painful with Chiron nearby). This is happening in fiery Aries, so it will likely be short and to the point/could happen quickly.

This will be the START of a continuing conversation or idea and is creating an opportunity in our Aquarius house thru Vesta as we dedicate ourselves to words/choices/plans and follow-up with actions that reflect our true values/what is sacred to us. Vesta speaks of something that needs a steady focus/can keep us up at night (sometimes Vesta pulls in a home situation and actually with this Aries Moon being about physical self/maybe especially our head - Vesta/Mercury/Chiron/Mars we probably want to be a little extra careful around the house - for example watch out for - food poisoning, accidents, painful arguments, viruses, etc). The Vestal Virgins in ancient Rome were the priestesses of Goddess Vesta and charged with maintaining the sacred fire that was never allowed to go out. They were also 'virgins' meaning un-owned by men and since this sextile is Aries/Aquarius, both freedom-loving/individualistic signs, there might be something here that creates freedom through responsibility or speaks of our need to be 'un-owned' somehow. This might also speak of the opportunity coming through a group situation or, again, our responsibility to a group even as the Aries New Moon's primary focus is on ourselves.

With Vesta here, this New Moon feels like a chance to walk our talk with something. We say this something-or-other really, really matters to us and here is a chance to prove, via our New Moon actions/starts/situations, that it actually does. What we give our time and attention to IS what matters to us. So what are we giving our time and attention to?

The New Moon's first aspect after meeting the Sun is a conjunction to wounded healer Chiron.

A health situation or a vulnerability/weakness, maybe an embarrassment, is triggered. This could be a very old fear around being able to take care of ourselves or be ourselves. With the Sun here, whatever this is will be VISIBLE. We might feel like we haven't succeeded or we blew it, that maybe we weren't brave enough or fast enough or new enough. We might be saying the words no one wants to hear or be the one hearing them. We might be dealing with a health problem.

The challenge here, and an Aries New Moon, believe me, IS UP FOR A CHALLENGE - and we all have access to this - is to allow the loss/setback/wound/fear to MOTIVATE us.

Yes, we are starting from kind of an uncomfortable place/not at our strongest at this New Moon, BUT maybe that is our super-power here. The wound being, quite literally right now, the place where the light comes in (to paraphrase Rumi).

The ruler of this Aries New Moon is Mars. He is making his way though Aquarius, not his favorite sign, but high off his days in Capricorn, he is still pretty high functioning here - smart, logical, focused on the future. Mars is applying to his conjunction to Saturn/Juno. He will meet Saturn on April 5th and Juno on the 10th.

(today is the day Juno makes her own square to the Nodes of Fate - a decision point/crossroad regarding a contract, relationship. Will we stay mired in the collective obsessive drama, the secrets, the death or turn a page toward something that is more solid and simple - something that is growing and that gives both parties, this is happening in Aquarius keep in mind, room to BREATHE)

In a few days, Mars will meet Saturn at 22 degrees Aquarius - this is where Jupiter stationed direct back on October 18th, and at the master number of 22. In terms of our New Moon story, this can bring a delay, road block, no, ending, reality check, report card. Seeing this coming NOW is something we can keep in mind. Here is where, most likely, our progress is blocked.

Now, this is not a reason to avoid starting - we want to move through the process of whatever we are doing. But this IS a reason to take things seriously, to have patience, to think LONG-TERM. We want to be aware of this and NOT jump impulsively into something foolish, because the Aries New Moon can feel like we MUST DO IT NOW. And maybe we must do something now, but we don't have to do everything all at once or move too fast. There is alot of Pisces energy, we should be able to intuitively feel what we need to do, if we slow down a bit and breathe.

People ask me, with situations like these, "can't I just wait until after April 5th to start and avoid the Saturn conjunction altogether?". But, it doesn't work like this. Whatever we start in this New Moon 30 day cycle (and because this is the beginning of our new lunar year, this really applies to the next 12 months) will hit this early Saturnian wall. And this is really about our inner authority/sense of AGENCY - which we heal by stepping into - Chiron! - but often will be projected outside of ourselves and show up as real-world limits, etc. Meetings with Saturn are report card time/can also bring rewards we have EARNED.

This isn't something we need to fear, we just have to keep in mind we will be held accountable for what we are doing/starting.

At the same time they are meeting each other, Mars and Saturn are squaring the Nodes of Fate, which is a karmic cross-roads. Mars and Saturn together here is a VERY RARE THING. There are opportunities now, maybe with our back against the wall, maybe by taking baby steps, to dis-entangle ourselves from something that is no longer life-affirming. Keep in mind, Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio and that South Node, so whatever we are needing to turn away from will probably be quite active now. The North Node - our best path forward - in Taurus is ruled by Venus, and, as Mars is meeting Saturn and squaring the Nodes, Venus is FINALLY entering her exalted/beloved sign of Pisces just in time for our 'April miracles' - we are tilling the ground within us to receive GREAT things, even if we aren't sure what those things are yet! We will talk about our 'April miracles' in the next post!

We've talked about the Scorpio South Node/Taurus North Node many times, including HERE. This New Moon cycle is asking us to make a MOVE/CHOICE, because remember the next New Moon is an eclipse (also the Full Moon in two weeks), so what we do NOW and how we respond/react to what is happening, is pulled, with us, into the Eclipse spin cycle.

We don't want to pull in some big complicated mess that requires 37 things to go right in order to work. We want to be turning toward something NEW, stabilizing, practical.

After Mars gets past Saturn and his squares to the Nodes, he is going to meet up with Juno. Juno has already met Saturn - we sealed the deal, came to a liberating understanding - and, so, now here is where we are taking action with this. Then Mars will make some adjusting aspects, but no big aspects until he gets into Pisces. Mars is less effective in Pisces, so we want to be doing what we can do now.

The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon, which I rarely write, but often take into consideration, is about a "Triangle of Flying Geese". This is very Aries/Aquarius and speaks of having the courage to TRUST OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER. It also speaks of something 'taking off' and this 'taking off' moving all of us in a new direction. So, although this is an Aries New Moon which is very much about ME (meaning you/each of us!) - the moves we make, the starts we take, the energies we allow to go to waste - impact all of us in very real ways.

Look to the house Mars rules in your natal chart (Aries on the cusp) for the place to START. If you want to know what area of life this is, shoot me an email with your birth-date, place and time and I will let you know.

In short, this Moon is about taking action/starting what YOU want AND realizing this isn't going to be perfect or totally comfortable and you are going to have to deal with some LIMITS or unusual situations, and that's OK, you need to start/move forward ANYWAY. Just keep going. This won't be perfect and never will be. That's life.

New Moon Affirmations

This New Moon is an excellent time for energetic support to make changes with things ruled by Aries (and your natal/progressed Aries house themes) - the head (headaches, acne, eyes, brain), the overall physical self, exploration, initiative, courage, leadership, strength, stubbornness, impulsiveness, temper tantrums, anger, stress from inaction/worry - what do we need more of in our lives, what are we needing to release.

AFFIRMATION TIPS: get into a calm, centered frame of mind - always make affirmations from a  positive space (meaning certain)  - write your affirmations down by hand in script, speak them out loud. With a fire New Moon maybe write your affirmations on strips of paper and burn them - now release your attention from these things knowing that your intention is known.

Know these things are already yours

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of December 14th - December 20th, 2020 - HUGE shifts this week!! time to look up

I feel like the white rabbit in Alice's wonderland, "I'm late. I'm late".

MONDAY - New Moon Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, Venus sextile Jupiter, Mercury conjunct South Node

TUESDAY - Venus sextile Saturn, Venus into Sagittarius, Chiron stations direct

THURSDAY - Saturn into Aquarius

FRIDAY - Juno into Sagittarius

SATURDAY -  Jupiter into Aquarius, Mercury conjunct the Sun, Venus trine Chiron

SUNDAY - Mercury into Capricorn

A HUGE - and optimistic - New Moon Solar Eclipse this week plus no squares, no oppositions, four planets changing signs and one stationing direct - what forward-leaning magical NEW VISION is this as we head toward Jupiter and Saturn's historic meeting on the Winter Solstice (the 21st) as Mars makes his final square to powerful Pluto?! It ain't all popsicles and puppies, but there is A GIFT FOR ALL OF US in here somewhere. And I'd bet we have earned it.

MONDAY - BIG New Moon Solar Eclipse at 23 degrees Sagittarius - post HERE

TUESDAY - Venus sextiles Saturn - at the very end of Scorpio/Capricorn - then moves into Sagittarius. So, over the last month Venus has traveled all the way to the end of Scorpio and Saturn (since December 2017) has traveled all the way to the end of Cappy. Venus, in her detriment, moving through a sign that opposes one of her own and Saturn, king of the heap, strong and steady in his home territory.

Now, they move into an opportunistic sextile - something, maybe financial/relationship/resources - concluding/moving into a new chapter on a positive note. The bottom line getting firmed up. A reward for our hard work/perseverance? Here is where a financial situation can be stabilized, maybe through old resources. Or this might speak of a relationship situation or financial situation or life/death situation - whatever we've been through 'hell' with that has confirmed in us how strong we are because WE ARE STILL HERE.

Venus moves quickly into Sagittarius. Sagittarius Suns and Ascendants (1st house cusps) get more attractive now - both able to attract what they want/need and easier on the eye. And all of us get a visit from Venus in our Sagittarius houses (what house or houses carry Venus energy in your natal chart?) and those houses get more magnetic.

Sagittarius is the sign of the archer. If we were archers - we would gather our energy. We would pull back our bow. We would take aim. We would hold our bow "in tension".

This holding position is important to landing our arrow where we intend it to go - to hit our target.

(of course, if we are in some kind of life and death battle with that arrow then I guess we just let it fly and hope for the best, but most situations we are facing are not quite so dire)

The same way an archer's "in tension" allows her arrow to hit her mark, our own "intentions" release our energy where we need it to go. Intentions are not wishes; they are not hopes - wanting to do something is 180 degrees from intending to do it. Intention releases the potential that makes things happen.

So, we have Venus (love, women, beauty, what we value, our self esteem, money) moving into the sign of "potential".

The search we began when Venus dove into Scorpio continues. But now instead of looking at the stuff that is underneath, the underpinnings none of us really want to look at, she looks way out into the horizon at the stuff we might one day meet up with.

Sagittarius is the sign of hope, optimism and faith (also bullsh*t and bombast, so check yourself before you wreck yourself can apply here, too).

Do we have faith that better days are ahead for us? Things can be different AND better.

This is also the day wounded healer Chiron stations direct. We are moving on from what hurts. Remember Chiron in Aries healing requires action/independence/bravery. We are still covering old ground, but we aren't just sitting here/wallowing/waiting. Progress will start to be made. Chiron is in Aries for a few more years so we are still dealing with very old (even familial DNA/past lives) personal insecurities, lack of independence, lack of motivation, etc, but Chiron's direct station as Venus sextiles Saturn and moves into Sag is all very supportive of the New Moon's promise that THINGS WILL GET BETTER.

On THURSDAY - Saturn exits stage left, his home sign of Capricorn, and enters stage right, his "ancient" home sign, of Aquarius (Uranus - what the hell have you done with the place?).

Saturn (limits, structure, authority) will be in Aquarius (the future, groups, humanitarianism, tech) until March 7, 2023. The last time Saturn was in Aquarius was 1991-1994 - what was happening in your life then? I had some crazy big responsibilities and powerful beginnings followed by HUGE endings.

We start this transit with limits/rules (Saturn) with groups/our freedoms (Aquarius), chaos/disruption (Aquarius) as our new reality/structure (Saturn), but it is going to be about much more than this as we move through it. We are on the Age of Aquarius timeline now. Anything is possible as long as we have never done it before.

Looking backward, trying to do "it" the way we did "it" before (think: what Saturn collectively rules here - our careers, work in the world, government, business, structure, time, your Cappy house theme) IS NOT GOING TO WORK. Business as usual is over. Remember what we talked about in THIS post about this time of UNKNOWING. We are going to need a beginner's mind to navigate these new waters. The future will not look like the past. We are going to have to balance Saturn's need for structure, limits, supportive routines, etc with Aquarius/Uranus's need for innovation, freedom and spontaneity as we turn toward each other instead of looking for someone above us to care for us/control us.

We will talk about this in a BIG Jupiter/Saturn post!

On FRIDAY - Following right behind Venus, Juno moves into Sagittarius.

Our relationships/commitments/contracts should begin to feel less intense/less heavy than they did with Juno back in Scorpio. We pull ourselves out from under the microscope and apply a wide angle lens to the situation. Maybe our ideas about commitment expand/become more hopeful or idealistic. For some people, relationship justice/legal situations can be happening. Relationships/commitments that are started now are going to need to allow for some freedom/exploration for both parties or things are going to get very uncomfortable. There might be more judgement with Juno here or maybe our expectations with partners/commitments are just too high. There could be promises made that prove very hard to keep. Including her retrograde, Juno will be in Sagittarius until November 2021, so this will be a LONG transit. Good news for some relationships that will benefit from this type of energy, but if you are in a legal situation within a relationship/contract  (or in something where you are being overly optimistic/too hopeful) that story-line could take some time to play itself out.

On SATURDAY - Jupiter moves into Aquarius, Mercury meets, and then passes, the Sun (kicking off a new cycle and concluding the old one) and Venus trines Chiron.

Venus (at 4 degrees Sag) trines a newly direct Chiron (in Aries). Can we believe Chiron is only at 4 degrees Aries after all this time?! We release the little hurts as we look toward a more hopeful future. We can more easily move through our weaknesses/vulnerabilities as we open ourselves to broader/foreign experiences. Or maybe our weaknesses/vulnerabilities (freak flag) actually opens the door to something more expansive. Love (Venus) heals (Chiron). Peace (Venus) heals (Chiron). Beauty (Venus) heals (Chiron). Women (Venus) are healing (Chiron). What supports our new vision is healing.

Mercury catches up with the Sun at 28 degrees Sagittarius. Here is TRUTH/what we need to know to move forward. Information comes in. Clarity. PAY ATTENTION.

The BIG news, Jupiter leaves Capricorn for the airier energies of Aquarius kicking off a new chapter. That pile-up of Cappy energies is NO MORE. Now, Saturn is in Aqua, too, of course and Saturn is strong here, but Jupiter is better equipped to deal with Aquarius air than Capricorn earth. This is where we are challenged to change as we open ourselves up to progress/the future. Jupiter will be in Aquarius until the end of 2021, except for a brief couple months in Pisces (his ancient home sign where he can really get his groove on) from May until July.

We are going to really dive into this in the Jupiter/Saturn - "time starts back up" - post for the Solstice! The chart is cray-cray!

On SUNDAY - Mercury gets serious/goal-oriented and heads into realistic Capricorn. So he/she got the big idea/the truth/the expansive news from the Sun (in Sag) and now he takes this information into sober Cappy to see what he/she can realistically DO WITH IT.

We didn't think Cappy energies were just going to ride off into the sunset with Saturn and Jupiter did we? We haven't even reached Capricorn season yet!

Capricorn is a serious sign. It rules the dead of winter and that indomitable mountain goat who just puts one foot in front of the other until he reaches the summit.

With Mercury (thoughts, communication, ideas) moving into Capricorn, our words will want to be taken seriously. Communications will be fact-checked. Sentences will be properly punctuated and spell checkers will be applied. Ideas will be more traditional, at least for awhile. Words that are focused and precise will be most effective now.

This isn't Mercury's favorite place to hang out - he prefers words be fast and flexible and Capricorn is the opposite of this. Words are solid and sturdy here. Flowery language isn't welcome. We mean what we say and we say what we mean. When we take our words and ideas seriously other people will, too. It's just what we need for grounding with all the fire and air and perfect timing as always!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Saturday, July 11, 2020 - food fight!, me time, emotional frustration, feeling insecure, clearing the air, make up sex, Chiron stations retrograde

https://www.deviantart.com/matmoon/art/fanny-3-130992515

The waning Moon moved into "let's GO" and "ME first" Aries at 1:06AM EDT.

Today will feel quite different than the last two days.

In Aries, she (as us) is nurtured through initiative, action, passion, anger, men. We will be feeling how things affect us personally and although a focus on ourselves is the natural flow of things with the Moon in Aries, we might need to avoid being too selfish or too impulsive or just too easily annoyed off over the next couple days.

She squares a retrograde Mercury at 12:09PM EDT, meets up with Chiron at 5:03PM EDT and then ruler Mars at 5:16PM EDT and finally sextiles sweet Venus at 9:21PM EDT.

With Mercury in his final pass through home and family oriented Cancer - the Merc/Moon square has me thinking FOOD FIGHT! Which might sound like fun for about a red hot minute until we think of the mess we will have to clean up!

Mercury in Cancer wants to talk about what he needs and the Moon in Aries wants what she wants. Emotional tension and insecurities are likely. Maybe our safety/security feels threatened. Maybe we feel we need to stand up for our roots/home/family. We had Mercury square Mars on Monday, so maybe an argument from earlier in the week continues this weekend ... of course, that square never really unwinds until August, so I hope not!

By dinnertime the Moon meets up with Chiron, who stationed retrograde three hours earlier - we talked about that in the weekly HERE. Our wounded masculine needs time to go back over the last few months and re-coup! Courage. Anger. Initiative. Standing up for ourselves. Taking care of ourselves. More re-assessing/re-structuring.

If we have planets or points he is backing away from - things will lighten up. If we have something he will move over multiple times - well, let's just say this is gonna hurt. Whether the hurt is like a bandage that's been applied incorrectly and yanks off part of the scab or like surgery without anesthesia depends on what Chiron in Aries has been asking of us these past few months and what we have been doing with the energy.

Either way, with that fiery Moon meeting Chiron and then Mars in the early evening - our wounds/our wants will be challenging to ignore. Independent action/activity is favored.

The good news comes later in the evening when a smooth and easy sextile to Venus (in communicative Gemini). Maybe the energies earlier in the day have cleared the air or maybe Gemini's light breeze just cools things down a notch.

Either way Saturday night looks way better for social action/relationships/doing things together.

So, it might be most peaceful for everyone to have some Saturday alone time and come back together later in the evening. Of course, if something must be thrashed out during the day, life will find a way and we might not be able to avoid it ... maybe the make-up later will be all the sweeter ....

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of February 3, 2020 - paying attention, our thinking changes, time to listen, real deal opportunities, an ending, good news, paying attention, did I say that already, yes I did and I see you are paying attention!

https://www.deviantart.com/elifkarakoc/art/Little-White-Lie-III-103023006

MONDAY - Mercury into Pisces, Venus sextile Saturn
WEDNESDAY - Venus square Galactic Center, Mercury sextile Uranus
FRIDAY - Venus into Aries, Ceres squares Uranus
SATURDAY - Mercury trine North Node
SUNDAY - Full Moon in Leo, Venus conjunct Chiron

Another powerful week with multiple inner planets changing signs - this will impact us personally as well as collectively - and a big Full Moon,

plus something to keep in mind - Mercury starts walking the degrees he/she will walk back and forth over during her upcoming retrograde - so the news and conversations, the stuff that is playing out NOW (for some Mercury will highlight sibling, local community, transportation, computer/communication situations) will be an indicator of what we will be dealing with for many weeks.

This week is the first pass, and sometimes the first pass only looks important in hindsight. With most of this retrograde happening in illusive Pisces, our best play may be to stay flexible, connected and compassionate. Know everything isn't as it appears to be, but trust that "Pisces magic" has our back now.

Also, we have three indicators this week of important messages coming through so WE NEED TO BE PAYING ATTENTION.

Whenever I am looking at a chart and especially a natal chart and I see something once, well it may or may not mean anything important. If I see it twice, I take note and if it shows up three times (multiple aspects indicating something similar) then I know I am seeing something important.

On MONDAY - Venus sextiles Saturn - this is in play through the beginning of the week. There could be a real deal opportunity here - something solid and lasting. Good for dealing with authority, making a commitment, stepping into our own authority, working with a mentor/someone older, etc. This is an opportunistic connection between our Cappy house and our Pisces house. Keep in mind Venus - ruler of money, love, our values and self-esteem - is EXALTED in Pisces.

The dream is real. The love is real. The money is real.

Look for the open door.

On the same day Mercury leaves airy Aquarius for watery Pisces - now the Sun is all alone in Aquarius - boy that was fast, wasn't it! Mercury, ruler of Pisces polarity sign of Virgo is in her/his detriment in Pisces.

At the same time Mercury is moving into Pisces, the Moon is moving into Gemini (ruled by Mercury) and this means Mercury and the Moon are squaring each other as they shift.

Our thinking changes. Dots get connected. Our intuition strengthens.

But at the same time our boundaries are down.

This makes me think of the corona-virus so we may get news of this spreading (with Mercury, ruler of health via Virgo going back and forth through "no boundaries" Pisces, over the next couple months we could see more of this spreading) - BUT remember what we talked about during the eclipses and what happened then being a foreshadowing of our next six months - stuff seeming very alarming, very fast and then petering out, so we will have to see. Mercury rules Gemini as well as Virgo and ideas and information can spread with Mercury in Pisces, too, not just germs!

Keep in mind Virgo's Mercury likes things clear and concise - she wants B to follow A and is sure things would move more efficiently if everyone would just dot their i's and cross their t's. Pisces (ruled by Neptune and ruler of our collective 12th house) is the space where rules/boundaries are more fluid. B might follow A. But just as easily A could drift right on past B.

It is the space of imagination, universal love, our dreams, spirituality, our connection to each other through the ethereal realms and our emotions, the ways we escape, the things we do last, the things we put away, addictions, delusions, hospitals, prisons, addicts, victims, saviors, martyrs.

You can see how fast-moving Mercury could be a bit out-of-whack here.

So maybe our thinking slows down a bit. Our words drift off course. We started to say this and then we are saying that. The words that were so clear and crisp in airy Aquarius, don't come as easily because maybe we start feeling their impact on the other person now. Or maybe we start feeling like one of those old anti-drug commercials but instead of eggs - it is our brain frying on the sidewalk.

Details might be fuzzy. Our thinking might be, too.

With Pisces ruler of the last house of the zodiac maybe a conversation comes to an end now. Our natal Pisces house - what house has Pisces on the cusp in your natal chart? - a space we are naturally inclined to more dreamy, Piscean ways - suddenly WAKES UP.

Our attention goes there.

This is wonderful energy for artists, poets, musicians, meditation, spirituality, healing. With Mercury (ruler of Gemini) in this universal space our words can cast even more powerful S-P-E-L-L-S - keep this in mind.

As our cognitive thinking slows down, our intuition speeds up. With Mercury in Pisces - it's time to LISTEN.

Due to her upcoming retrograde Mercury will be in Pisces until April 11th.

With the Moon in Gemini early this week we will be busy. Errands. Things to do. Decisions to be made. New choices/new information.

On WEDNESDAY - Mercury, who has had a couple days to get his feet wet in Pisces by now, will sextile (opportunity) Uranus in Taurus. We could get unexpected (good) news. Conversations will be forward/future leaning. We are thinking outside the box. Having flashes of genius. Wake up calls and unexpected solutions/understanding are possible now. Good surprises are possible.

At the same time, Venus, at the very end of Pisces, is squaring the Galactic Center (black hole at the center of our Galaxy,. seat of creation) - we will have to see/feel how this plays out for us, but I would suspect, coming at the same time as the Mercury/Uranus - we could be dealing with something that puts our back against the wall to give us something to push against if we are needing to move in a new direction.

It's time, and fast approaching PAST time, to be focusing on what we have gained rather than what we have lost.

The Moon is in Cancer now - moving our focus to home, family, real estate, home business, family business, mother - and making nice with Mercury in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus.

On THURSDAY - we have a fast moving emotional water trine. Then the Moon moves into opposition with the Capricorn planets, so there could also be a 'no' with something today or on Friday. Maybe a roadblock or an ending.

On FRIDAY - Venus moves from Pisces (where she has been exalted) into Aries, where she is considered in her detriment (since she rules Aries polarity sign of Libra). Now we have two of our three inner planets in their detriment.

Aries Suns and ascendants (first house Aries) become more attractive - both able to attract what they want and easier on the eye. Everyone's Aries house becomes more attractive, too.

In Aries, Venus functions best when she puts herself first. With Venus in Aries, we will need to take into consideration "what's best for me?".

We attract what we want by going after it! By being brave. By having a beginner's mind. Through men and masculine energy.

In Aries, Venus is a WARRIOR (and love might be a battlefield ... cue Pat Benatar).

Something to keep in mind as we give ourselves permission to go after what we want (always that fly in the ointment) is the impulsive nature of Aries. If Venus was always in Aries our relationships would last 15 minutes and the things we bought/valued would very quickly fall out of favor and we'd be on to the next thing. Maybe not such a good long-haul energetic, but as a transit, ie transitory, Venus in Aries can get on with the business of getting us what we want in a very effective manner. Just keep in mind some of what Venus in Aries accumulates will not be so long-lasting.

Venus will be in Aries until March 4th.

Ceres (in Aquarius) squares Uranus (in Taurus). It can be hard to fit in/hard to feel boxed in. A Ceres situation - cycle of life, nurturing, etc or something having to do with our Aquarius natal house theme - could get a shake-up. For the collective this could be some kind of planetary wake up call.

On SATURDAY - Mercury trines the North Node (in Cancer). Here is news/information/a conversation that points us toward our future - a more authentic future. PAY ATTENTION. This is building all week and at play in Sunday's Full Moon. Keep your ears and eyes open for a message/messenger. With Mercury in Pisces, this could be intuitive information. We can understand and glide forward easily. No pushing will be needed.

On SUNDAY, we have Venus conjunct Chiron (loving ourselves wounds, warts and all) as the Aquarius Sun opposes the Leo Moon at 20 degrees giving us this month's Full Moon in Leo.

We'll talk about this one in its own post later in the week!

*****

As always keep in mind the bigger picture - Saturn is past Pluto. We are past the death. And past the place in the game where we always died before. Permanent endings. No going back.

Some early Cappy placements still have this to play out as Mars crosses the South Node over the next couple weeks

and we all will be triggered as Mars hits Pluto and the degree of last month's Pluto/Saturn conjunction in March.

In the meantime this is a big information week - SO PAY ATTENTION.

xo all - will get up the monthly after the Full Moon post!

the astrology of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra | March 25th, 2024 - the woman-partner-mother stands alone, a chapter ends, changing our relationship rulebook, RESOLVING VERY OLD BATTLES WITH OURSELVES THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE

April's Astrology Forecast for Creatives | THE MONTH AHEAD - motivation returns, green lights, fence sitting/preparation ends, decide, start, move your ass, take a risk, prepare for some challenges/twists later in the month

The first couple weeks of April we have some excellent MOMENTUM and motivation - no more fence sitting/gestating - it's GO TIME.

Decisions must be made now. Things need to move. PUT TOGETHER AN ACTION PLAN. As we approach mid-month the energy is EXTREMELY OPPORTUNISTIC, and trust me, you do not want to miss this. If you have something to start, something you need to do/want to do - you had best be starting/doing it. This good fortune won't be around forever.

The future belongs to the brave this month!

If you are starting a business/launching a new product, doing home renovations, etc (like I am, all of it) - the period from April 10th - 15th looks very promising (depending on what your chart ruler is doing will give you the best date - I will write a post specifically geared to this where we will add in the Moon and drill things down). If you are not ready for a full launch (try to be!), you will want to register a domain name/announce your intention/break ground in some way to get this energy into your project's DNA. This can also be something old (relationship, project, etc) done in a new way. LIFE IS LOOKING UP.

By the third week of the month we start maybe slowing a bit, taking stock of what we have/where we are, then we might start hitting the challenging squares, Uranus shake-ups and power struggles. Pluto will be standing dangerously still. The energy shifts, opportunities tighten up/require more effort. Our Taurus security is shaken not stirred. The collective news might be INTENSE. There is a need to overcome a CHALLENGE.

By the end of this month the retrogrades will begin and next month Eclipse season will roll in, so the first couple weeks of April are a MAJOR GREEN LIGHT - especially the energy near the New Moon in Aries. It's time to initiate something new, and small is BIG with the North Node in Gemini.

If you have been feeling unmotivated/tired - that will end! I promise!

Heads up - there is a major karmic story (a new one) going to start playing out here in the United States this month (and likely many other places) that we will talk about in the 2021-2022 big-picture posts and through the royalty/patriarchy series which is all the same astro-amazing stuff! We can't not change folks - it's written in the stars.

FIRST WEEK - lean forward, get things moving, make decisions/solid plans, communication is key, relationships and money should be looking up, finish whatever you can that is going to be in your way of any New Moon fresh start at the end of the week

END OF FIRST WEEK AND SECOND WEEK - green light GO, GO, GO

THIRD WEEK - get grounded/practical/comfortable, things might slow a bit as we move into fixed earth, but they are also looking more solid, stock up

FOURTH WEEK - lighten your schedule, expect the unexpected and some challenges

And, please remember, this is COLLECTIVE, lists dates when aspects are most exact (they can be felt when applying/waning, too) and doesn't factor in the Moon. If you are a Cancer rising or more of a 'lunar person', the Moon's aspects will come into play in a more major way and we'll talk about them in some dailies as we move through the month - this post replaces the weekly and I am taking a blog break from the dailies this week, but will be back with an important ARIES NEW MOON post to kick off the lunar year!

For now - let's unpack the month -

APRIL 3RD - MERCURY ENTERS ARIES | crosses the Aries point, starts mutual reception with Mars in Gemini

Mercury finally gets out of the Pisces soup (a sign of his detriment) and begins a new cycle in fiery Aries.

Mercury in Aries says, "I know what I think and THIS is what I think." The silence that was so golden in Pisces gets broken in Aries.

This is a fresh start/new year with Mercury themes - words, thinking, writing, learning, teaching, ideas, sibling issues, transportation, your local community. Also bringing fresh words and fresh thinking into our Aries house theme already smoking hot with the Sun and Venus.

AND best of all with Mercury in Aries answering to Mars and Mars in Gemini answering to Mercury - both Mars and Mercury are empowered/stabilized. We can walk our talk, walk and chew gum at the same time, make better decisions, HAVE MORE MOTIVATION, get things moving.

APRIL 4TH - LAST QUARTER MOON | 14 degrees, Capricorn/Aries

The waning Moon at 14 degrees Capricorn (the sign of her detriment as ruler of Cappy's polarity sign of Cancer, but answering to Saturn strong in his home sign of Aquarius) squares an exalted Sun in Aries. This month's waning square - Cappy/Aries - hard to say who gets the home court advantage with this one.

This is tension/frustration between rules/limits/authority and independence/the new/what is starting. When is control too much control? Are stronger rules really needed or is initiative/courage/a boundless kind of newness the way forward? We are moving ahead, but now maybe patience is needed.

The Moon (Cappy/authority) is waning and weak here. But answering to a strong Saturn in his home sign. The Sun (self/ego/independence) is exalted in Aries - STRONG. It could be time to circumvent the rules or authority a bit/take a risk (notice I am not saying - take  a break). If life during Aries season isn't a daring adventure or nothing at all (to quote the amazing Helen Keller) - then what the hell is it? Or maybe the reverse is true for you. You might need to take a breath, apply some wisdom/experience to the situation. Maybe something that looked promising, now looks like a whole lot of work or is getting old fast and you have to ask yourself if you are still wanting/willing to do it. In a few days Cappy's ruler Saturn is going to trine the North Node

Also keep in mind the Moon is waning, so, if some elbow grease needs to be applied to something that NEEDS FINISHING before next week's New Moon MAKE SURE IT IS. This can't be skipped. Independent work is certainly favored though.

APRIL 6TH - VENUS SEXTILES MARS | 19, degrees, Aries, Gemini

Here is what we want meeting up with the actions we need to take to get it. Set plans into motion. Send the email. Make the call. The girls and the boys are playing nicely. Venus is applying to her sextile to Jupiter, too, so, think - expansion/luck/optimism. Get those plans rolling!

APRIL 9TH - SATURN TRINES NORTH NODE (sextiles South Node) | 12 degrees, Aqua/Gemini, MARS SQUARES NEPTUNE | 21 degrees, Gemini/Pisces, MERCURY CONJUNCTS CHIRON | 9 degrees Aries

Maybe the facts/details are foggy. Maybe people don't get what we are saying or we aren't hearing things correctly. Maybe we are squared off with an ancestral story-line. We could be tired/need a rest. Even our best intended actions might drift off course. Men might be unreliable or lying or feel weak. Or maybe we are acting like a martyr.

The way through the Mars/Neptune is the Saturn/North Node trine. The trine is arguably the best aspect in astrology. Things fall into place. This is Aquarius/Gemini. Saturn/Mercury. Both strong now with Saturn in one of his home signs and Mercury in mutual reception with Mars, so gaining access to Gemini, his home sign.

Stability/structure is the new black. Grown up words and conversations. Commitments to group goals. Stepping back and seeing the big picture/detaching from the emotions of the story a bit can help. Logical thinking. Logical/scientific language. Flashes of genius are possible now. Life can use whatever responsible or group/future oriented action we take now to move us along our best path/new timeline. Keep in mind as Saturn trines the North Node, he sextiles the South Node - this is the beliefs/hopes/greener pastures we need to release. Actions we take toward this will be smooth, too (will require some effort though - this is air, so probably through conversations, words, contracts, etc) - because remember the Moon is waning/winding down a story now, so as we move in one direction, another path/timeline begins to fray/come untangled.

Mercury/Chiron means words are wounding/healing. It is probably time to speak up about what is hurting. Writing/research is cathartic.

APRIL 10TH - MERCURY SEXTILES THE NORTH NODE | 11 degrees, Aries/Gemini, MERCURY SEXTILES SATURN | 12 degrees, Aries, Aquarius, VENUS SEXTILES JUPITER | 25 degrees, Aries/Aquarius

Now, we are past (barely, but I'm counting it!) the Mars/Neptune square and look at these aspects! The Moon is in independent Aries - her only aspect a conjunction to wounded healer Chiron - repeating yesterday's Mercury/Chiron, so we are still dealing with whatever this is emotionally.

There are MULTIPLE opportunistic sextiles. Air/fire. WHAT A DAY. And keep in mind this has been in play for a couple days and tomorrow's New Moon will carry the potency of this for weeks/even months/even the entire year. This isn't just about April 10th. Our words/actions are moving us smoothly into the future. Our money/love GROWS. The Jupiter sextile pulls in progress with legal/foreign issues.

Mercury is in Aries now, words and conversations are fast/blunt/to the point. Whatever we are talking about/thinking about TAKES US FURTHER, SO TALK ABOUT IT/think about it. The right words find their way to the right lips, eyes and ears. Words are powerful/adult/used responsibly, building us a newer/stronger world. Rules, limits, authority is supportive. At the same time Mercury is trining the South Node - old conversations can be put to bed. Mercury in Aries might just burn that sh*t down, but this time things are easier/smoother - no need for a match. Chiron/Moon in Aries. The fire is somehow healing. Keep in mind the North Node - way forward - is still Gemini, so keep words light/airy. Expect to be seeing/hearing double. If we are committing to something now we are actually going to have to do it. Maybe twice, so keep that in mind. Venus/Jupiter - there are financial opportunities here; the kind of luck that comes with some risk. Here is the smooth and easy expansion of something new. Jupiter is answering to Saturn, so there will still be work and limits, but they are more STRETCHY now.

APRIL 11TH - NEW MOON IN ARIES | 22 degrees conjunct Ceres, VENUS SQUARES PLUTO | 26 degrees, Aries, Capricorn

The lunar year begins! EXPECT A BIG NEW MOON POST.

Actually, multiple posts because we will be talking about that 26 degrees Pluto - we haven't been here since the days of the American Revolution and before that the time of King Henry VIII and we'll be talking about that alot in April, too. The United States Pluto return will seem just moments away by the end of the month (something else in the collective news by then) and then, Pluto will station, retrograde, again, the death/transformation is postponed, so we can get it right this time!

Also today, Venus, nearing the end of her days in Aries, squares Pluto in Cappy. Tension/frustration between this new thing we are loving/creating/our independence/our physical self and the fear of what we could lose/maybe are losing. How much do we want this? Maybe our heart breaks open. Maybe here is a breakthrough moment around our ability to love ourselves.

Venus/Pluto an urge to 'feel the fear and do it anyway'. She kicks off the dead wood, connecting us to a more authentic "me and we".

Keep in mind, that fly in the ointment with what is started now is that Venus/Pluto - we want to avoid manipulations, obsession, jealousy, power struggles (the negative side of Venus/Pluto which is the love and passion mixed with the fear and taken too far), and, instead, use the powerful square energy of their friction to get that New Moon fire started!

APRIL 12TH JUNO STATIONS RETROGRADE | 24 degrees Sagittarius

Juno entered Sagittarius back on December 20, 2020, just days before the world 'started back up again' as Jupiter met Saturn. A very BIG player in 2020 (our relationships, partnerships, commitments), Juno was finally getting some blue skies and greener pastures. Our relationships were LOOKING UP/more optimistic and expansive. Or maybe we met a new mentor/teacher/embraced something or someone foreign. The challenges here would be if one partner was/is escaping or resistant to change/inflexible. She (as us) has gone (and some of this was through the square to Vesta in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces - THE PROBLEM we have been avoiding or over-focusing on, the need to fix it or forget it or forgive it or maybe all three) all the way to 24 degrees Sag. She is going to get all the way back to 8 degrees Sagittarius before stationing direct again on August 2nd and she won't get back to 24 degrees until around Halloween and start covering new ground, so this is and will be a very long relationship story-line. From now until early August is the part we will get the re-do's. Our relationships also become more of an inside job. We notice what we are mirroring and the way our partnerships are mirroring us. Notice this is conjunct the Galactic Center (our homing signal/seat of creation) and opposing Mars, so disagreements and challenges are built right into the process. If one partner is pushing to do something the other partner doesn't want to do or efforts are too aggressive or one-sided this will be felt now. Is compromise possible?

APRIL 13TH - SUN SEXTILES MARS | 24 degrees, Aries/Gemini

This is a boost of INITIATIVE/fire power. A light on our strengths. This is fire and air - our words are like rocket fuel/ideas catch fire. Here is the Sun (as us/our ego) in an opportunistic aspect with the Sun's ruler now - Mars, who, through mutual reception with Mercury is able to be more Mars-y/function almost like he would in his home sign! Mercury in Gemini pulls in the conversations, contracts, commerce, the words/ideas, maybe our siblings, local community, transportation/tech.

APRIL 14TH - VENUS INTO TAURUS  | her home sign

Venus is now out of her detriment in Aries and off that square to Pluto and into her home sign of Taurus. Whew! Venus loves (and rules) Taurus. After her weeks in Aries trying to be a lover and a fighter, she is quite content to settle into herself again.

Taurus suns and rising signs get more attractive (both physically attractive and more able to attract). Venus is Taurus will help us appreciate the finer things in life, what we already have and what is right in front of us. Taurus is a fixed sign, so things happen slowly. It can take some time for a person who is used to (because remember we are hardwired to crave what is familiar) seeing beauty in a lush green lawn, for example, to appreciate the magnificence of a dandelion. If you can't see the beauty in what you already have - look again.

(did you know the word dandelion comes from the Latin "lion's tooth" - dandelions are some of the honey bees earliest food, are reproductive superstars - an energy sorely needed now and have centuries of usages in food, drink and medicine)

The power and real beauty of Venus in Taurus is a deep seeded belief that everything we need is available to us. Either we have it, or we can attract it if we believe we are worth it. Venus will be in Taurus until May 8th.

APRIL 15TH - SUN SEXTILES JUPITER | 25 degrees, Aries/Aquarius

An opportunity comes to light. This is Aries/Aqua. Initiative/passion/something new is EXPANDING. Making things better/more stable/more lasting. Luck that requires courage/some risk. Confidence. Keep in mind tomorrow's follow-up aspect -

APRIL 16TH - SUN SQUARES PLUTO | 26 degrees, Aries/Capricorn

So, the Sun takes the expansion/hope/opportunity from Jupiter in Aquarius and now moves into tension/frustration with Pluto in Cappy - power struggles, authority, limits, REALITY. Pluto is always about a death/fear. Maybe we are under pressure to do something, stand up, be ourselves. Look ahead to tomorrow and we see that Mercury is repeating the Sun's transits of the last two days and now we have Mars trining Jupiter. This week ends with the Sun meeting Mercury at the very, very end of Aries and then plunging into Taurus together.

For now, the Sun square Pluto is power struggles. Fear of death/destruction/loss. It might feel like our ability to be ourselves/even to live is somehow threatened. This doesn't mean this will actually be the case, but this can be what challenges faced now will feel like. This is Aries/Cappy - the new vs the old. We have to be brave. We might have to fight (maybe not) and we could lose anyway (something will be gained though). We could be manipulated. This is us vs the man/power. Or maybe we are the power trying to control someone else. Either way be careful. Keep in mind, this will likely be felt strongest by people with planets/points near 26 degrees of the cardinal signs.

APRIL 17TH - MARS TRINES JUPITER | 26 degrees, Gemini/Aquarius, MERCURY SEXTILES JUPITER | 26 degrees, Aries/Aquarius, MERCURY SQUARES PLUTO | 26 degrees, Aries/Capricorn

Look at this day?! Do you have anything at 26 degrees?! I hope so! Mars trines Jupiter - our energy/enthusiasm/action expands. Makes us brave. Makes us lucky. Our words are our fortune. Make the call. Send the email. SAY YES.

Just keep in mind that Mercury square to Pluto possibility for power struggles/obsessive thinking, going too dark/the very real need to be walking our talk now. We will be talking about the 26th degree Pluto and its karmic possibilities -  in a big-picture post. We are dealing with old fear/powerlessness and now (past the point we always died before) transforming it/getting our power back. We are able to shift the energy across multiple timelines and for different lifetimes - yes, we are healing the ancestral woundings around power that we carry.

APRIL 18TH - SUN CONJUNCTS MERCURY | 29 degrees Aries

Now, Mercury meets the Sun. This is excellent energy for communication. Our words are focused/fast. There could be a result now/a culmination/maybe an ending. Here is important information. A new idea. A voice to passion. A declaration. This is a good time for AFFIRMATIONS. This is the very, very end of Aries - a "hail mary play" degree. We start at the end/the very last moment. NOW WE KNOW. Then they (our heart/our brain) tumble together into the fertile fields of Taurus.

Keep in mind, this is the mid-point of the Mercury/Sun cycle that started back on February 8, 2021. Kind of their 'full moon' moment, before their cycle starts waning.

APRIL 19TH - MERCURY INTO TAURUS, SUN INTO TAURUS

The Sun and Mercury move into Taurus TOGETHER. From cardinal fire to fixed earth. Our value appreciates. Our thinking and our willpower/force combined/in agreement. It's time to be practical, settle down, plant the seeds, take care of our resources/balance the books. We want things to make sense/cents. Our focus turns to practical things. The pace slows. The roses are noticed - will there be roses by mid-April? My dogwood trees are three weeks late this year. It's back to basics.  Taurus gets results through self-sufficiency, by bringing ideas and concepts 'down to earth', by being sensible. Also by valuing what we already HAVE.

This is not the time to enact complicated plans unless we want to make ourselves (and everyone else) crazy. Better to drill down to the fundamentals now. The month will start to change on us in a couple days, so don't get too comfortable, but find a comfort/a sweet spot/a soft shoulder. Mash the potatoes. Eat the pie.

Rushing through ideas, conversations and decisions won't work well now. Take the time to think things through and get it right - life will encourage/force this process, so fighting it is futile anyway. If a person or situation is pushing us to make a decision we are not ready to make, events will conspire to give us more time. If we can't decide - we should wait. If we are the one doing the pushing we will be frustrated during this transit. Mercury likes to move lightning fast, but Taurus likes to stop and smell the roses. The fly in the ointment with Mercury in Taurus is its fixed nature. One of the reasons for the information slowing down is that everyone becomes entrenched in their position and digs in. Compromise becomes a four letter word and there aren't alot of choices. The answer is either yes or no, there is no maybe with Taurus. Our resolve is strengthened though.

Keep in mind, this takes Mercury out of his/her mutual reception with Mars, so his access to his home sign of Gemini ends now. All good things must come to an end. We don't get to age three without knowing this. Mars is about to make his own move anyway.

APRIL 20TH - FIRST QUARTER MOON | 0 degrees Leo, Leo/Taurus, VESTA STATIONS DIRECT | 6 degrees Virgo

This is an important First Quarter Moon - not only because it's the first real problem of our New Moon in Aries story, but because the Moon is opposing 0 Aquarius, where Jupiter and Saturn met back in December and restarted a more equal, socially responsible, science minded (and yes, more detached) new world.

The Moon in Leo (as us) needs ATTENTION, love, children, our inner child, the center-stage, some heart-felt JOY. The Sun in Taurus is more practical, wants to be comfortable, wants to hold onto what we have. Maybe this is tension/frustration between our need to have fun and our need to be comfortable/not rock the boat/stick with what we know. This is fixed fire vs fixed earth. The earth can put the fire out, but is that what we really want?

Vesta moved into Virgo back on October 22, 2020. She came in like a freight train on a trine to Black Moon Lilith. She (as we) got all the way to 21 degrees when she stationed retrograde back on January 19, 2021. Now, we are moving forward - either having fixed the problems/or working on them - or using the Pisces oppositions we have had to release any unnecessary attention from that Virgo situation -  forgetting/forgiving the problem. This is one final pass through Virgo to tie up loose ends - to do the actual doing. We know what we need to do/focus on to keep the necessary fires burning.

APRIL 22ND - VENUS CONJUNCTS URANUS | 10 degrees Taurus

Uranus is all about change, something Venus-ruled Taurus resists. Resisting change can be a good thing, because not all change is good (no matter what the t-shirts tell us) BUT it can also be bad - lead to rust, depression, stagnant water that is unfit to drink. Our Taurus natal house, the place we are naturally inclined to 'leave well enough alone' has been anything BUT stable these last couple years.

Once a year, Venus (ruler of Taurus) comes along and meets up with Uranus - the one changing up her carefully orchestrated world. They first met in May 2019 at 3 degrees Taurus - here is where the changes with what we have/want/love/our values/our money started rocking and rolling, and they will meet every year until 2026 (at 29 degrees Taurus - they actually meet in BOTH July 2025 and April 2026 at 29 degrees, so our Taurus house will be totally changed by then!).

Their meetings accelerate change - things conspire to show us what we really value/love now, new ways to make/use/hold money, new beauty, new self-esteem. Venus in Taurus is slow, but Uranus change is fast, can happen in an instant, but isn't really something we couldn't see coming. They last met on March 8, 2020 - so likely what we wanted then has changed significantly from what we want now. If you have natal or progressed planets/points between 7-13 degrees Taurus, you will likely feel this conjunction the strongest. In general and collectively speaking, this is about changes with our values, money, resources and self-esteem. Your Taurus house themes will paint a more personal picture.

Venus's next aspect is a square to Saturn - reality check/limits - in a few days, so keep this in mind.

APRIL 23RD - MARS ENTERS CANCER

Mars is considered in his fall in Cancer. This is because Mars can't be all Martian - fired up and passionate and out in the world testing his courage, running onto the battlefield thinking only of himself and how good it will feel to swing that sword - when he has these pesky emotional Cancerian things to contend with.

Things like feelings (it's harder to take the instinctive action he needs to take when he has to feel his way through what he is doing instead of just doing it). And home and family and security (harder to be putting himself first when he has a family depending on him and harder to fight most effectively when he needs to stay alive to come home at the end of the day). This stuff can make Mars like a pot of hot water ready to boil over at any minute. Like the too-young father who wants to be out bar-hopping with his buds - he can feel trapped.
On the flip side, Mars becomes more nurturing in Cancer. There's less chance of tossing the baby out with the bathwater now - because we love the baby (just look at those dimples)! Mars in Cancer is the daddy-bear protecting his cubs/any small growth that is easily trampled. Don't cross him.

Collectively we will be more security and safety conscious. Maybe more patriotic/clansy, but, certainly more home and family oriented. Our actions driven by our emotions (need for safety) or centered around home, family, mom, home business, family business, real estate, renovation, our natal and progressed Cancer house themes. Our natal Cancer houses will experience more initiative, action, passion and ANGER (remember this is Mars we are taking about, not the Easter Bunny). Where is Cancer in your natal chart? Wherever it is, Mars is not the usual way you deal with the things ruled by this house (unless of course, you have Mars there natally), so watch for defensiveness/moodiness/maybe an unusual antsiness around these themes. Mars will be in Cancer until June 2nd.

APRIL 24TH - MERCURY CONJUNCTS URANUS | 10 degrees

Now, Mercury, following in Venus's footsteps, meets up with Uranus at that same 10 degrees. New/unexpected information maybe regarding money, our resources, what we value, that Taurus house theme. Stuck ideas and conversations will come unstuck, ruts will be jumped. Plans will change. There is the potential for shocking news. Also flashes of genius. Rebellious ideas. Maybe we find out something is more valuable/or less than we thought it was. Changes with our income are possible. Here is where the truth comes out - ready or not.

APRIL 25TH - VENUS SQUARES SATURN | 12 degrees, Taurus/Aquarius, MERCURY SQUARES SATURN | 12 degrees, Taurus/Aquarius, MERCURY CONJUNCTS VENUS | 13 degrees, Taurus

Venus and Mercury square Saturn TOGETHER. This has been building during the Uranus conjunctions. There are limits, responsibilities, reality checks. Freedom isn't free. Karmic endings. Our responsibilities, maybe especially to the future/the group/collective goals will not be avoided. With Venus and Mercury together it's probably time to say what we want. We might just get it after all (but there will be limits, rules, responsibilities).

This smash-up is pulling us toward tomorrow's BIG Full Moon.

APRIL 26TH - FULL MOON IN SCORPIO | 7 degrees

This one has a 'Danger Will Robinson' feel to me. A Full Moon in Scorpio, answering to Pluto (standing strong and still and in a space he hasn't occupied since the American Revolution!) and opposite change-maker Uranus, trining a passive-aggressive Mars in Cancer. We are going to want to be careful here. Yes, we are facing our fears, this part can't be avoided, and we shouldn't try, but don't need to be an idiot about it.

We will talk all about this in a BIG FULL MOON POST.

APRIL 29TH | MERCURY SEXTILES NEPTUNE | 22 degrees, Taurus/Pisces

Mercury has been uber busy in the last few days. AND he is stuck in the fixed earth of Taurus through all this. He met up with Uranus (surprising news), squared Saturn (reality check, limits) and then met up with Venus (good news, ka-ching maybe), now he moves into a smooth sextile with Neptune. This feels like a ping pong match.

Mercury/Neptune is a subtle influence, but considering all Mercury (as us) has been dealing with and Pluto standing still, this is likely to have more oomph. Good for visionary ideas and language. Imagination. Healing Prayer. Meditation. We might wake remembering our dreams. Our ancestors/past lives/ghosts are whispering to us. Ideas are AVAILABLE for the right person - the person who can make them REAL - to pick them like apples in an autumn orchard. This is good for learning something practical (Mercury) through osmosis (Neptune), so would be a good time to hang out with the smartest person you know. Compassionate (Neptune) language (Mercury) is helpful (sextile). Siblings may be illusive or confusing. But Mercury in Taurus is giving a Neptunian dream a structure to work with/build upon. Again this whole thing is subtle, but available. Talk to other people. The opportunity comes as one thought/conversation/idea drifts into another. People with planets/points near 22 degrees Taurus or Pisces will feel its influence most.

APRIL 30TH - SUN CONJUNCTS URANUS | 10 degrees, Taurus

The Sun meets Uranus - starts a new solar story. When a planet conjuncts another planet it's like a guest comes in from out of town and takes over. Maybe they put their feet on the coffee table, toss their coat on our favorite chair and polish off that bottle of wine we'd been saving. Maybe they clean the kitchen and cook us dinner. Either way, they are hard to miss.

Uranus is the planet of genius and rebellion and 'anything can happen' - charged with shifting us from point A to point B via the fastest possible route. Uranus jolts the fixed earth Taurus Sun with some unpredictable electricity. Something can come from out of nowhere - all the i's are not dotted and t's are not crossed now. Anything even slightly restrictive might feel like a dog collar - yes, the kind with the metal links that look like a medieval torture device. Wherever you think something is headed, expect something else. This is collective and personal shifting sands. Life changes. Again, this will probably be more dramatic for people with planets/points nearest 10 degrees of Taurus or the other fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius through squares and oppositions), but we will all be feeling this.

APRIL 27TH - PLUTO STATIONS RETROGRADE | 26 degrees Capricorn (and 48 minutes, so within spitting distance of the U.S. natal 27 degree Pluto)

Pluto has been standing still, preparing for today's station and let's just say he is, well, armed and  .. dangerous. I'd say no dark alleys for any of us, but we know that already. If you are quarantined, I will add - no dark hallways. Like seriously. Turn the light on, I fell last year and broke my foot.

Pluto retrogrades are times we do deep inner work. Fear that is ripe for release will come up to be looked at/worked through/sometimes just survived. This year, we are working an energy that hasn't been worked since the American Revolution and before that the days of King Henry VIII - it's like we are all that woman who discovered another room behind her bathroom mirror. Very old power dynamics are shifting.

Fear can arise through uncomfortable or intense situations. Deep insights are possible while Pluto is retrograde. Worn out controls, rules and power systems are getting re-looked at, as well as the way we merge our resources (including our bodies and our money) with other people. Here is where we clean up the mess (sometimes an ancient/karmic one) as the external death/transformation process is postponed.

With Pluto stationing, the Sun on Uranus and Venus/Mercury squaring Saturn - we will keep in mind our 2021 maxim about chaos redistributing power. The end of the month looks pretty intense, so you'll want to set yourself up for a lighter load here. Don't over-schedule. Take care of yourself. Stock up on supplies just in case. Taurus season can bring food/weather/earth issues.

BUT, PLEASE don't spend the first half of the month worrying about the second half.

Just be prepared in a practical way. If something is scheduled for the end of the month and you can move it up then consider moving it up. If you can't, then it is what it is and will play out the way it needs to. Uranus stuff can't really be predicted and Saturn/Pluto mostly can't be avoided, so there is only so much we can do.

The really lasting change always comes through the squares/challenges anyway and for anyone with very stuck situations they might be just what the doctor ordered!

And Saturn's trine to the North Node is in play pretty much all month - ultimately our forward movement is stabilizing. Stepping into our responsibility and the goals that bring us into connection with other people is moving us forward.

NOW, PLEASE get going while the getting is GOOD!

xo all
