Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | May 17th - May 23, 2020 - things get busier but lighten up, careful with big decisions or risky purchases, new moon offers fresh ideas and perspectives plus re-connecting and re-building opportunities

https://www.deviantart.com/eulalievarenne/art/XVIII-376321204

SUNDAY - Sun trines Jupiter
WEDNESDAY - Venus squares Neptune
THURSDAY - Sun into Gemini
FRIDAY - New Moon in Gemini, Sun trines Saturn, Mercury conjuncts Venus and squares Neptune

The Sun moves into Gemini and life get busier. It should feel less heavy and lighter though as we get into more and more air and less and less earth. There are multiple Neptunian contacts this week - so expect facts to become even more slippery (excellent for inspiration, imagination, healing and connecting with the past).

This would NOT be the best week to make a big decision, but there are opportunities through small and flexible steps, maybe one step forward and two back, to start something that lasts!

SUNDAY - we talked about the Sun's (Taurus) trine to Jupiter (retrograde in Cappy at 27 degrees) on the Sunday daily and last week's weekly.

Here is a light shined on expansion/growth. With Jupiter retrograde maybe rewards for past work or opportunities from the past that come back around.

This continues a chapter the Sun/Jupiter started back on December 27, 2019 when they last met - we were in-between Eclipses then - and this story concludes on January 28, 2021 when they meet again and start a new chapter. No Jupiter/Sun meetings (conjunctions) at all in 2020 and that is very rare and tells us alot about this year!

So, the story they started at the end of last year, moves forward now. Trines remove the brakes/obstacles and this trine is with our Taurus house. So what house does Capricorn rule in your natal chart? What house does Taurus rules? What are the themes of these houses? These houses are always working together, but now they have some real power behind them and are super-charged!

Here's MONDAY since I probably won't pop in with the dailies until Tuesday -  the Moon's only aspect  on Monday (in Aries - so nurtured through independent or physical action, initiative, passion, men) is an opportunistic sextile to Mercury - home in Gemini now - at 1:14PM EST. This is great energy for fresh communications/conversations/sales/meetings/commerce. Good for sibling, local community and transportation situations. Good for mental activities. Independent work.

Tomorrow there is likely to be added pressure/tension, so make the most of this day. We'll talk about Tuesday in the lunar dailies.

WEDNESDAY - here is where a retrograde Venus makes her second square to illusive Neptune.

Be careful now. Things are not quite what they appear to be. This is NOT the time to make any big decisions/to be deciding between two things or making an important financial decision/spending a large sum of money. Sort through the facts. Think things through. It won't be easy to do this with foggy Neptune in the mix, but something almost surely looks better than it actually is or has something that is hidden and less appealing that we can't see right now.

We had this aspect back on May 3rd, so we could be re-vising, re-viewing something from that time period. It will be too easy to ignore the facts and undermine ourselves with this energy, so slow down. Take care to not just be saying what people want to hear or hearing what we want them to be saying. Read between the lines. This aspect is in play all month, but very strong today.

THURSDAY - the Sun moves from earthy and stable Taurus into airy and fluid Gemini.

Gemini energy talks. It listens. It questions. It perceives what isn't said at all. In short, it doesn't miss a trick. With so much to see and so much to do and so much to communicate - there is not a moment to waste on any of those roses we were smelling last month/week/yesterday. Things will not be quite so black and white as they were in Taurus. It's a time to be curious. Ask questions. Change our mind. Try different things. We've been going deep and now we want to go wide.

Since Gemini rules information we will have alot coming at us over the next few weeks. Not all of it will be true. Gemini (the twins) is the sign of duality - of black and white, of feminine and masculine, of truth and lies. Nothing will be totally one way or the other or quite what is seems now. We will be faced with dilemmas and changing viewpoints.

In the end contradictory thoughts and things can come together with this energy, but it takes work, an open mind and the ability to stay flexible.

We all have ideas about how things are supposed to look and work that we've carried since childhood (and from our ancestors/past lives). We have these beliefs and then we, subconsciously, look around for the things that support these beliefs and that's what we notice. Then our beliefs gets reconfirmed and strengthened. Even though these beliefs are no truer than someone else's beliefs that reflect the very opposite thing!

(this would be a good time to post on Facebook what we are doing and not what we are believing - let's give everyone a break and declare a moratorium on passive-aggressive and "know-it-all" memes and post about our lives again)

With the Sun in Gemini and all of us burning Gemini fuel - we can give ourselves permission to embrace a more wide open receptive state. We can move against the beliefs we've been strengthening since childhood if they no longer suit us.

See what house holds Gemini in your natal chart - this space is communicating with you now. During Gemini season we will be busy. Starts and endings will be fast and furious, but lasting .... that's very questionable.

FRIDAY - this is the big day and we will unpack this further in the New Moon post.

We have the Moon meeting the Sun at 2 degrees Gemini ushering in a new lunar month. The New Moon/Sun will trine Saturn making whatever is started now - extra sticky! New information, communications, ideas come in. Mercury (ruler of Gemini, and so ruler of this lunation) will be conjunct Venus -  so we could get some good news! - although there is a big BUT here - sorry! - his square to illusive Neptune could indicate hidden information or things seeming better than they actually are. Any Neptunian contact makes things cloudy, so watch for miss-information, any escape/addiction/self-sabotaging tendencies. Again this is a communicative New Moon and this is a good time to reach out to others.

We'll talk about the New Moon in detail in its own post!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Sunday, may 17, 2020 - an old opportunity comes back around, a lucky break, erasing some of those dots we've been connecting, two sides to everything now

https://www.deviantart.com/photoflake/art/The-Painted-Landscape-455106448

When we wake EDT, the Moon has completed her journey through Pisces - a space she loves. She has sextiled the Sun at 3:14AM EDT and gone void off a sextile to a retrograde Jupiter at 3:59A EDT. At 9:36AM EDT she moves into fiery Aries and will sextile a retrograde Saturn at 1:29PM EDT. Lots of lunar sextiles. Lots of opportunities to feel good.

The sextile to the Taurus Sun is this month's Waning Sextile - this is more dreams being made real energy. The unbounded, imaginative and compassionate Pisces Moon making nice with that stable, lasting and practical Taurus earth.

This is also the day the Sun trines a retrograde Jupiter. And, yes, this is within the same day the Moon sextiles Jupiter. Rewards for past work. Lucky breaks. What we have (that Taurus!)/what we value EXPANDS. Remember Jupiter is retrograde so going deep instead of wide right now and moving backward, so maybe the Sun shines a light now on something we had previously missed/discarded. Is there something more here? We don't have all the doors available we had last year, but there is a door and the Sun will find it!

The Sun will trine a retrograde Saturn this week, too - maybe an opportunity comes back around. Look for it. Make the call. Send the email. Make yourself visible.

Sometimes when we think we are waiting for something to happen, life has already tossed us the ball. We have to make a move with it and set a response into motion. We think we are waiting on something else when that something else is actually waiting on us! Keep in mind that North Node in Gemini for the next 18 months - there is no one great move/answer that will make everything better, instead there are a gazillion options and moves. Let's not be so afraid of making a mistake. Just start small and be flexible enough to pivot as needed and we can't lose!

This is also the day Pallas stations retrograde at 0 degrees Aquarius. So, she (as us) got all the way to innovative/future-focused Aquarius and now almost immediately has to turn around/go back over something. Pallas is our wise warrior woman who, unlike Mars who will just sock someone in the nose, thinks and plans and strategizes. Like Saturn before her, she doesn't get very far into Aquarius when she is held up. She moved outside the box and now is headed back into the box!

Something about our thinking/planning, the way we are connecting the dots - needs to be re-vised/re-viewed.

Keep in mind our North Node in Gemini's dual nature. Everyone gets a seat at the table. Our closed minds will be the death of us/set us on the path for a very restrictive future.

Think outside the box AND inside the box.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Saturday, May 16, 2020 - relationship tension, wanting something from the past, smothering, mothering, bending over backward to keep the peace, rocks and hard places, decisions, going with the flow

https://www.deviantart.com/rona-keller/art/seeking-balance-839088831

The Moon, nurtured by "going with the flow" in imaginative Pisces meets Neptune at 2:34PM EDT, squares Venus (retrograde) at 4:35PM EDT and sextiles Pluto (retrograde) at 11:14PM EDT.

The Pisces Moon meeting ruler Neptune in his home sign is UBER Neptune. Boundaries dissolve. This could be inspiration/compassion/delusion. We are feeling very comfortable with sensitivity, maybe with delusion, maybe with escape. It's Saturday .. I think ... so that feels about right. We will be very psychic.

Just take care with any over-the-top illusional hunches that push us into something that has no grounding in reality. Great for art, music, healing, charity work, spirituality.

By mid-afternoon we are approaching that square to Venus (who wants us to have a little bit of everything and especially anything we have had or have wanted before) - this is tension/a challenge maybe through a conversation/decision involving relationships or money or our resources/beauty/self-esteem. This could also be a kind of final straw, followed by a "drift apart" conclusion. Mercury is a bit stressed out with Pluto at the moment, making us more prone to black and white/doomsday, suspicious thinking or using some kind of 'deadly' language. Ouch.

From Pisces point of view, Gemini's need to go this way and that way tends to complicate things. Keep this in mind.

By the time the Moon meets Pluto we will know just what cards we are holding - having been to hell and back/death and rebirth with this subject - or maybe this is what we are dreaming about. I am fairly certain I will be sleeping. Either way there is opportunity here between our Pisces and Capricorn houses. This could be more making the dream real stuff - always good to find those times during the month and put them to good use!

Another thing we have exact today is Juno (our marriage archetype retrograde in partnership/balance focused Libra) inconjunct Ceres (in Pisces) at 6 degrees and since we just talked about that retrograde Venus squaring the Moon (in Pisces) this might amplify and color that tension.

So, maybe one partner wants to keep things on an even keel/wants to keep things light, and this can be a romantic relationship, but can really be anyone we have a contract/agreement with (it doesn't have to be a written contact, but there is usually some kind of societal expectations here) - while the other person is doing some kind of sacrificial/martyr thing or some kind of extreme lack of boundaries or idealization or smother mothering. This can also be about situations where it feels like one partner holds all the cards and the other feels very out of control.

This is an inconjunct, so a rock and a hard place.

We don't want to lose ourselves/over nurture/try to control someone AND we don't want to gloss over problems and pretend they don't exist.

The Moon in Pisces can be self-sacrificing and also self-sabotaging. Does the person we are 'helping' actually need our help?

And, on the other hand, if we are smiling through the 'helping' that has gotten on our last nerve (doing that bending over backward thing to keep the peace), maybe it's time to talk this thing out.

Don't expect all the wrinkles to be ironed out - we will be back here in mid-July with Ceres retrograde and Juno direct - BUT with Juno answering to Venus in dualistic Gemini - there will be more than one way through these kinds of relationship challenges.

Stay flexible. Compromise. Know that people and situations from our pasts/what we once loved can come back around if we still have strings attached to them.

We can use the Moon in Pisces to feel what the other person is feeling/to go with the flow.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, May 15, 2020 - controversial and healing conversations, do we still love last month's obsession, what needs to be wrapped up, what needs to be re-vised/re-visited/re-built

https://www.deviantart.com/alexandrasophie/art/NO-BIRDS-205894015

The Moon, in Pisces now and nurtured through the Piscean waters of our imagination, spirituality, connection, the past -

will sextile Uranus at 12:41PM EDT (unusual attachments, unconventional needs, comfort with chaos, surprise)

and square Mercury at 12:57PM EDT, so maybe that Uranian surprise leads to an argument/tension/controversy.

The planets are making multiple exact connections today - we have Mercury sextiling Chiron, Venus (retrograde) conjunct Vesta and the Sun trining a retrograde Pluto.

Mercury sextiling Chiron is a healing conversation/words. Mercury is home in fast-moving Gemini now, so this is not the energy of a deep heart-to-heart, but something quick and light and even humorous. Keep in mind Chiron in Aries is healed through courage. Be brave, say what needs to be said but don't make a big drama out of it.

Venus's meeting with Vesta is their second (of two) meetings.

We had this aspect back on April 14th, when maybe we got really obsessed about wanting something. Maybe we got it. Maybe we didn't. But, now Venus is retrograding back over this point for a re-view. And remember Vesta is about the stuff that keeps us up at night/a sacred focus. Happening in Gemini, this could be about a decision/conversation/news - we have lived a lifetime since mid-April haven't we? Has our desire here changed? Gemini is dualistic, so this could be about more than one way forward with this or maybe we are seeing the other side of some situation.

Finally, although this actually happens first, we have the Sun trining Pluto at 24 degrees.

Taurus/Capricorn is solid grounding. Slow and steady growth/power. Taurus rules what we have now/our resources, also our values/self-esteem and Capricorn is about the world, our responsibilities, our work and goals, authority. Good energy for dealing with authority/power structures, just keep things practical. Pluto in Cappy is retrograde, so we are going back over something - again the "re's" - revising, reviewing, rebuilding. The Sun shines a light here, creates a smooth path of slow and sober empowerment.

So, there is a good flow between our resources/self-esteem and authority/goals and maybe a hard conversation/news (that lunar square to Mercury) that is ultimately healing - courage/being ourselves/standing on our own two feet is needed to get the healing.

This is the time in our lunar cycle for culminations/endings AND the Moon is in Pisces - what do we need to wrap up? We don't know everything, but we know what is over.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, May 14, 2020 - what are we holding onto, what is holding us down, clearing the field, going further in, Jupiter stations retrograde

https://www.deviantart.com/nataliadrepina/art/Haze-434037099

Our Aquarius Moon trined Venus (retrograde in Gemini now) at 5:20AM EDT - this makes for a pleasant early morning, then she starts moving toward her square with the Sun - this month's Third Quarter Square. She will go void at 10:03AM EDT off that square and be void until 9:24PM EDT when she moves into Pisces.

The square is Taurus/Aquarius. This will be about your natal house themes or the collective themes of "mine" vs "the group's" or security/stability vs liberation/the future. The Sun in Taurus has had us focused on our money, our resources, our values. The Aquarius Moon is nurtured through doing it differently or what is best for the group. Squares are tension/frustration - areas of dissatisfaction that can no longer be ignored. The Sun asks - what is still worth holding onto? What do we value now? The Aquarius Moon asks - what are we holding onto that is holding us down? What needs to be shaken up?

This is also the day Jupiter (joining Pluto, Saturn and Venus in this backwards dance) stations retrograde in Capricorn. Now we have both our benefic planets moving backward! What does this tell us? We missed something! There is something back there we need to attend to before we can move forward! Maybe a space to be cleared, so fresh gold can be mined. A retrograde Jupiter goes deep instead of wide. We are going back over our faith/our beliefs/the big picture.

With both Saturn and Jupiter retrograde we are becoming older and wiser.

We can stop looking for a way out because we are all going further in.

Even though Jupiter is still sandwiched between Pluto and Saturn, the good news for his retrograde chart - remember the way we start, the chart in play at the beginning, matters - is a nice smooth trine to that Taurus Sun.

The Venus and Saturn retro charts looked a bit more dicey, but Jupiter's chart shows confidence/hope/faith/luck.

Jupiter will be retrograde until September 12th and amazingly he will also trine the Sun (the Virgo Sun - health!) on the day of his station direct. We have been wondering if Jupiter is expanding this tense situation we find ourselves in or making it better - this cycle would indicate he brings the "better".

Some things to keep in mind now - Mars is in Pisces. We are going to need more rest. More music. More God/the infinite. More imagination. More art. Know some things are likely to drift off-course. Let them drift. Pisces is the last sign, so finish what needs finishing. Mars is gearing up for his home sign of Aries (the first sign!) and once he gets there on June 27th, he will be there for the entire rest of the year! So rest/drift while you can.

We are totally supported right now for what we need to do next. Not so much for what we will be doing in six months or a year because we really haven't even started building the road to take us there yet. But what we should do next - we know. And we know because it is that unfinished thing.

Mars in Pisces and all these retrograde planets and a waning Moon ask - what needs to be re-vised/how can we finish this up?

And, of course, keep in mind that North Node (like our guiding star forward) in Gemini now. We don't have to have all the answers. Stay curious. Ask questions. Let other people have their own opinions/ideas. We need to re-learn the art of conversation. We need someone who is like a sister/brother, more than we need an expert (know-it-all) right now. The experts can't be trusted and this is not because they are lying or wrong necessarily, but just because they are looking through this very narrow lens of their expertise. They don't know what they don't know. We don't either.

Jupiter retrograde can bring a pause to Jupiter ruled expansion - so things like travel, publishing, religion, weddings, legal issues, politics will require re-views and re-visions.

Have a nice day everyone - keep in mind that void Moon from 10AM EDT to approx 9:30PM EDT - time gets stretchy, we can get alot done, but stick to practiced routine or we might find ourselves having to do it all over again later ...

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, May 13, 2020 - that chapter where we re-work our relationships, resources, values and ideas about beauty starts now, a more intuitive approach to action, no pushing

https://www.deviantart.com/livingloudphoto/art/Wishful-Thinking-509314135

The Moon is in forward-leaning and freedom-seeking Aquarius - her only aspect today, a square at 1:51AM EDT with Aquarius ruler Uranus (disruption, the unexpected). This was an hour after Mars left Aquarius for dreamy/idealistic Pisces (Mars in Pisces is the peaceful warrior and I'm pretty sure also the reason for the expression "steaming mad", go figure).

By the time we wake up, we are in this new energy. A kick-started/rebellious Moon with the need not to be tied down and a future-focused/rebellious Mars - tossed into the ocean to cool off.

The last time Mars was in Pisces (here's your wake-up call little fishes!) was in November 2018, so it's been awhile.

Mars is our masculine energy - he (as us) wants to go out and make things happen. Pisces in where we allow things to happen; we go with the flow. With Mars in Pisces, there is just no way to "force things" - stuff will go or it won't.

Mars (our actions) will be working through our emotional intuition now.
We'll need to use our inner guidance and work with divine timing.

Our natal Pisces house - is shaken awake and its theme (where is Pisces in your natal chart?) is activated. We are used to just going with the flow here, so Mars moving in could be just the kick in the a** we need to get moving.

Keep in mind Mars is still Mars even though he is wearing a toga and smoking something still illegal in most of the country. He (as us) can still get things done!

The key to working with Mars in Pisces is to continue to initiate, continue to take action, continue to move forward, but to avoid pushing.

And we will know we are pushing because whatever we are trying to do won't be working.

Mars in Pisces is also a kind of perfect storm for self-sabotage, so stay moving and AWAKE.

Venus stationed retrograde about an hour after the Moon squared Uranus - yes, all today's action was happening while we slept (EDT).

She is doing her back and forth through the dualistic sign of Gemini. We are connected back to a time eight years ago and also to a time eight years ahead. She is determined we decide (by bringing our values, resources and self-esteem into the mix), but also clouding things up through her square to foggy Neptune - and Mars, is answering to Neptune now, so that square gets even more powerful.

In Gemini, information is king and information will be anything but clear right now!

We talked about this Venus retrograde cycle HERE. We are going back over our values, our money, our self-esteem. We are looking at our choices/decisions. People from the past can come back into our life - usually for a brief time - as can people from past lives. Old resources/passion projects. Here Venus will influence our choices - what we want/what we don't want and our Gemini house theme is influenced by the beneficial Venus (although she is less powerful during the second part of this three-part dance, the part we are in NOW, when she is moving backward).

Relationships/passion projects/situations involving beauty or women can get held up now. It's a time for re-assessing what we need/want.

In Gemini, we will collectively notice what we are saying/thinking and if our conversations and the information we are absorbing/spouting best reflects our values.

This collective time-out is teaching us that you and I really, really matter. What each of us does impacts everyone else on a very real 3D level. We can literally keep each other alive.

(and it is also teaching us the polarity of this - and how we don't have control over the things we think we do)

The cosmos is conspiring (have I said Jupiter stations retrograde tomorrow, so that's three planets in one week!) to slow down any attempted return to 'business-as-normal'. Saturn/Pluto scorched that old landscape. Even if we could go back, and we can't, we aren't the same people - it wouldn't taste the same right now. We have been downloaded with a thirst for something else. So, we move forward (move through the fear) by moving backward. Back to old ideas, conversations, work, our community, our childhood friends (siblings, etc), our childhood likes and dislikes.

Knowing this storyline isn't really about a disease, although it is playing out through a dis-ease. We are really working through a very old story about POWER.

Everything will seem it is trying to stop us now and at the same time everything will seem that it is not letting us rest.

With the North Node in Gemini, information is power and so is our ability to believe in the possibility of multiple things at the same time. Getting entrenched in our own beliefs/thinking we KNOW is so last week. We don't know. Let other people have their own ideas. We don't need to control anyone else's thinking to stay safe (that Uranus in Taurus answering to Venus in Gemini answering to Mercury, ruler of the North Node bullshit) and thinking that we do is going to split us into TWO.

Stay curious. Ask questions. We need to stay open to connecting.

With the North Node in Gemini, the solution won't be one big thing, but lots of small things. the problems have grown so complex, we can see this now.

We will need ALL OF US - yes, even the people we don't agree with because we don't need to agree! What we need is for everyone (and every facet of ourselves) to have a voice.

Keep this in mind now.

Yesterday we had the Air National Guard of New Jersey fly over the beaches in salute of the front-line corona virus workers. People piled into their cars and came from miles around (the traffic jam out of town afterwards was something like the 4th of July) to sit on the hoods of their cars - beaches/boardwalks closed, parking lots roped off - and scatter ourselves, appropriately distanced, among fresh signs that read GOVERNOR'S ORDERS STAY HOME, KEEP OFF THE GRASS, PARKING ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD PROHIBITED. We had no idea exactly where these jets would fly or if we would see them, but we just kind of gathered without gathering - yes, on the grass and along the sides of the roads. Hundreds of people. Hundreds of cars. People started talking to each other. Hubs always attracts women of a certain age and he was quickly in a deep conversation about how this situation just really stinks for the kids. There were many, many older people. The jets thundered over head. The flyover lasted maybe 30 seconds, but even the jaded/and fast moving Jersey folks didn't complain about the wasted hours. It was nice to see people remove their masks, which are required here, and breathe in that fresh ocean air even if we couldn't actually see the water (personally I don't wear a mask outdoors, it defeats the point of getting outside, although I had a scarf I can pull up if I needed to). We all kind of looked around afterward before dispersing. It was clear to me and maybe to alot of other people. That we were going to be OK. This 'living our life' thing won't be stopped and our instinct to caretake life is much more complex than simply making sure that life is long ...

Today's Astrology Forecast | Monday, May 11, 2020 - the chickens and dust-bunnies coming home to roost, the ultimate re-structuring project begins, what are we re-working, a mandate to innovate

https://www.deviantart.com/thefirebomb/art/Balloon-River-827510321

The Moon is in sober Capricorn today answering to a retrograde Saturn.

We are nurtured through taking responsibility, doing the work, having work in the world and money in the bank, being practicalBig girl/boy pants ON.

The Cappy Moon sextiles Neptune at 6:04PM EDT (making the dream real, opportunities through knuckling down and working on art/music imaginative or spiritual projects) and then trines the Sun at 8:23PM EDT giving us this month's Waning Trine.

The trine - Cappy/Taurus - sets up a smooth energetic flow between our resources/values/money and our goals and ambitions. Practical actions to build/stabilize something real and lasting.

And from the weekly post for MONDAY:

"Mercury, at the very end of Taurus squares Mars at the very end of Aquarius - the potential is here for tension/disagreements around our resources, money, values. We could also be pushed (Mars) to make a decision (Mercury).

Mercury/Mars always makes me think of car accidents so DRIVE SAFELY.

Then Mercury (communication, ideas, local life and travel, transportation, sibling issues) flies into Gemini, for a very fast visit home. Here is where the chickens, ie decisions we have been procrastinating, come home to roost. Mercury will be in Gemini until May 28th.

Increased choices, conversations and ideas will start to flow.

We won't put everything to use, Gemini can be all-over-the-place, so some stuff will just move in and out, but the change in momentum will be noticeable. Of course, we have three planets starting to move backward this week, too, so there will probably be some back and forth.

Keep in mind with Gemini there are more questions than answers and the information might be somewhat unreliable. But easy, adaptable conversations, suitable for the moment, can pull everything forward now. Fresh information and conversations will come in and expand whatever we are dealing with. Gemini (the twins) is the sign of duality - of black and white, of feminine and masculine, of truth and lies. Nothing will be totally one way or the other or quite what is seems now. This can be stimulating if we've grown weary of Taurus's scrutiny and demand for truth."

At about midnight last night EDT, Saturn stationed retrograde at 1 degree Aquarius. He will get all the way back to 25 degrees Capricorn before stationing direct the end of September.

Maybe think of a retrograde as if we are pressing the wrinkles out of a shirt. We move the iron forward, then we slow down a bit and move backward being careful not to iron in any new creases. Then we make one final pass forward more forcefully before we move on. This is kind of how it goes.

Right now we are starting the backward swivel part where we try to avoid ironing in any new creases.

Saturn stations retrograde in Aquarius, so we are going back over our natal Aquarius house theme, and collectively, back to our friendships, groups, causes, the goals that bring us into connection with other people, online situations.

Generally the best use of Saturn retrogrades is going back over structural issues.

Re-considering our commitments. Re-thinking our responsibilities. Re-assessing our goals and ambitions. Re-defining our boundaries. Re-valuing our time. Re-structuring our projects.

Sometimes what is in our way moves out of our way and sometimes we get to see what is holding us up because it isn't holding us up anymore.

Dad is on vacation folks.

The activities of our Aquarius house (and by the beginning of July tend to slow down a bit so we have the time to establish a stronger foundation. Wherever Saturn goes, so does our time and commitment. When planets are retrograde, more of the work becomes internal.

And from the weekly post for MONDAY:

"What happens for us personally depends on our natal chart and our relationship with Saturn. If we have planets/points between around 25 degrees Capricorn and 1 degree Aquarius (and maybe we can add a couple degrees on either side of this) we will feel his retrograde strongest. This can also apply to planets/points in the other fixed to cardinal signs as he squares and opposes them. If we were born with Saturn retrograde, and so the need to face up to certain responsibilities in this lifetime we have previously avoided, we will feel his retrogrades more intensely, too.

For everyone else and for all of us collectively Saturn's station will either:

1. ease restrictions/limits/traditions (daddy on vacation) or 2. create delays/pull back support (again, daddy's on vacation). It just depends on which kind of "daddy" we have via our natal chart!

Saturn retrogrades give us a second chance to get it right. He will station direct at the end of September and it's report card time."

Given the fact Saturn (authority/restrictions) moved into Aquarius (groups/the people) as many people were locked-down, some of that should begin to ease up now - the external pressure to comply will start to ease, but since we know this is only a retrograde and we are headed back to toward January's hot-spot, we want to continue our safe practices even as we begin to re-emerge from our cocoon.

Going back to the same old, same old isn't going to work. Life is requiring us to innovate.

So, today look into the dark corners and see what the hell is in there. Maybe physically clean your house - sometimes it takes a physical action to stimulate a metaphysical one.

Tonight/tomorrow is the time to choose. Our choices are very, very narrow. And maybe this is what we need, and it is what we need, because it is what we have. We know what we have to do because it is the thing we have been procrastinating doing/deciding.

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | May 17th - May 23, 2020 - backing up, changing directions, new ideas, new conversations, a light shines on our power and those gold nuggets we missed

https://www.deviantart.com/vlue/art/You-139367310

I don't want to say another big week, but this is another BIG week!

MONDAY - Saturn stations retrograde (late Sunday night EDT) until the end of September, Mercury squares Mars, Mercury into Gemini TUESDAY - Mercury trines Saturn, Mars trines the North Node
WEDNESDAY - Venus stations retrograde until end of June, Mars into Pisces
THURSDAY - Jupiter stations retrograde until mid-September
FRIDAY - Sun trines Pluto, Mercury sextiles Chiron
SUNDAY - Sun trines Jupiter

This is the week of three retrogrades and two planets changing signs!

With so much of life upside down right now, is all this "backing up" going to turn everything right side up? Yes, we can certainly expect some of that!

Let's unpack the week and we'll color it in with some dailies.

MONDAY - Mercury, at the very end of Taurus squares Mars at the very end of Aquarius - the potential is here for tension/disagreements around our resources, money, values. We could also be pushed (Mars) to make a decision (Mercury).

Then Mercury (communication, ideas, local life and travel, transportation, sibling issues) flies into Gemini, for a very fast visit home.

Increased choices, conversations and ideas will start to flow.

We won't put everything to use, Gemini can be all-over-the-place until he gets settled in, so some stuff will just move in and out, but the change in momentum will be noticeable.

This can be stimulating if we've grown weary of Taurus's scrutiny and demand for truth.

Saturn stations retrograde until the end of September. We talked about this the other day:

"What happens for us personally depends on our natal chart and our relationship with Saturn. If we have planets/points between 22 degrees Capricorn and 1 degree Aquarius (and maybe we can add a couple degrees on either side of this) we will feel his retrograde strongest.

1. ease restrictions/limits/traditions (daddy on vacation

or 2. create delays/pull back support (again, daddy's on vacation). It just depends on which kind of "daddy" we have via our natal chart!

Saturn retrogrades give us a second chance to get it right.

He will station direct at the end of September and it's report card time."

Saturn retrograde in Aquarius also likely indicates authority changing the way information is delivered to the people.

TUESDAY - Mercury trines Saturn (retrograde in Aquarius). His/her trine to Saturn could provide stabilizing information or information about authority/limits/rules. Conversations around how to provide greater stability to the group/for our future.

We want to be careful (and purposeful) with our language now. Deliberate, thoughtful and sober words create the most impact.

When Mercury aspects Saturn our spoken/written words, and maybe most especially the things we tell ourselves about what is possible, create iron-clad contracts. Only make promises you know you can keep now because you will be held accountable. If you say you are going to do something, you are actually going to have to do it or it is going to come back and bite you in the ass.

Avoid gossip. With Saturn being the king of karma and all that, it has a way of coming back around. Communications and conversations with authority figures are helpful now. ANSWERS COME IN. Pay attention to what you are hearing. Be sure you are understanding what is being said and that you are being understood. This is great energy to work toward developing mastery of a subject. Just the right words/ideas/information could drop into our lap. Trines can't be forced. This stuff will just happen.

This is also the day Mars (at the end of Aquarius) trines the North Node (in Gemini).

Our future focused actions (maybe involving groups or tech) will just naturally move things forward. Maybe we are taking action on the information Mercury's move into Gemini has brought us! Again this doesn't have to be forced - our actions will just naturally move things in the best/right direction.

WEDNESDAY - Venus stations retrograde through June 25th.

We will be re-evaluating what and who we love. Old loves from the past can come back for some cosmic clean-up. Circumstances transpire to change our values/self-esteem. We are reconnecting with the spring of 2012, are we ready for that?

We talked about this in detail HERE

On the same day, Mars leaves Aquarius for watery Pisces.

This is excellent for creative/imaginative work, healing, spirituality, meditation, music, art. What we do to get what we want becomes less direct. We go over here and then start to drift over there or the ramifications of our actions are harder to control. We can't force stuff to happen with Mars in Pisces - it will be like directing water.

We need to be strategic (and we can because we have Pallas still in Aquarius) think of the way irrigation systems work or dams.

THURSDAY - Jupiter stations retrograde through September 13th.

Take a breath. Stuff that just keeps growing and growing is NOT sustainable. With Jupiter in Capricorn this year - there aren't the kind of endless opportunities we had last year (although some were kind of delusional), but Jupiter always delivers something. His placement in Cappy has brought us luck - things could have been much worse without him. Retrograde, our growth gets focused on one particular area. We go deep instead of wide.

Even though he is locked down in Scrooge's house, Jupiter is still intent on giving EVERYONE an open door/lucky break - this is where (over the next few weeks) an opportunity can come back around. Clearly something has been taken as far as it can go collectively in our Cappy houses and we need to go back over it. So, let's go back to this scorched territory and see what we missed the first time through. We will be going deep instead of wide with this. There is some gold here somewhere!

FRIDAY - the Sun (in stable Taurus) trines Pluto (retrograde in Capricorn).

This energy is dynamic and powerful. We could reap the rewards of our past hard work now or our attention could be brought to a Plutonian theme with a connection to the past - a life/death issue, sex, loans, taxes, merged resources, intimacy, third party situations, inheritances, reproduction, power dynamics, transformation. This is good energy to stabilize what needs stabilizing and to use our power wisely and opportunistically to empower what we value now.

Mercury sextiles Chiron - news/information/local community or sibling situations create opportunities for healing very old, very deep wounds. Decisions. Choices. Maybe putting something into words makes us feel less vulnerable.

SUNDAY - the Sun trines Jupiter (retrograde in Capricorn).

This is considered one of the luckiest days of the year. This is enthusiasm/confidence/luck. Financial gain. Business opportunities.

Back with the dailies and the final part of the Venus retro series!

The Astrology of 2020 | the Nodes shift to Gemini and Sagittarius Part II - re-learning the art of conversation as if our life depends on it because maybe it does, a potential collective split

https://www.deviantart.com/s-t-r-a-n-g-e/art/the-sandgiver-89753174

See Part I HERE

Part II is going to be quite a bit heavier (so odd for Gemini!), so please put this post off until another time if you are having a fun Saturday night, and I hope you are!

We talked about the nuts and bolts of this transit back in early January and now that we have a clearer vision of what we are dealing with right now we can flesh this out a little more.

*****

The Nodes of the Moon are not planetary bodies, they are the points where the Moon's orbit around the Earth intersects with the Earth's orbit around the Sun. The North Node is the ascending node - where we are going. The South Node is the descending node - where we are now/where we have been. They move counter-clock wise (sort of like being retrograde all the time) and are exactly 180 degrees apart - opposing each other.

When we work with them in our natal charts we will be astounded at their accuracy - the same can be said of the collective transits.

On May 5th, 2020, (after 18 months working the Cancer/Capricorn axis) the North Node moved into Gemini, the South Node into Sagittarius.

Keep in mind the North Node is our best path forward, our fate, a psychological shift that needs to happen AND also indicates what will not come easy because it is NEW and untested and we are genetically wired, likely in order to stay safe and alive for thousands of years, to crave what is familiar.

The South Node is where we are now and is the space of the energies ripe for release because they have outgrown their usefulness. Now, not ALL Sag energies have outgrown their usefulness - the good stuff, the stuff that is still valid and needed is going to be avialable to us in greater and more beneficial ways. As we move into the North Node and embrace the Gemini, we get the reward of the best of Sagittarius!

One of our challenges we will be facing with the North Node in the dualistic sign of the twins, Gemini, will be to understand we live in a society with a freedom of choice.

Not everyone is going to agree. Not everyone is going to be moving in the same direction at the same time or maybe not ever at all. Not everyone is going to be playing by the same rules. These differences are not going to make any of us any less safe - these differences are what is needed.

We will be releasing any certainty we have with "this is the absolute truth" which is different from "these are the facts", so that we can relate to each other where we are.

So we can listen and learn from each other.

We can't be afraid to be curious, to ask questions, to change our mind - this will all be good uses of this Gemini energy/ways we align with our best path forward.

This will not be about coming into consensus because remember Gemini is a dualistic energy.

We aren't trying to get anyone else to agree with us. Think student here, not teacher.

When we move toward this new mindset, what will happen, because the other person will feel heard (rather than judged/preached at) is we will easily add to the conversation ideas/thoughts/information that help the other person and our words will be accepted.

Now, this isn't some backdoor way to change someone else's mind about something (ie control what they think) because that's not our job and that won't move us in the direction we need to go (because we will be moving in different directions).

Instead, it is a way to get along with people we don't agree with - which we have all done all our lives, but somehow have forgotten how to do now. We will be able to expand the other person's perspective as we listen and allow them to expand ours bringing out the best of that South Node in Sagittarius. A good mantra will be something like, "when I am willing to listen and learn from the other person, I win."

Now, this will be just one challenge of the North Node in Gemini. This will be about everything from our relationship to our siblings/local community to our need to take multiple steps and make multiple choices to get somewhere. Not one big step. There won't be one big solution, but multiple smaller solutions. Like a few years ago when the North Node was in Virgo; small is the new big.

We will talk about this as we move through it.

And because the South Node (where we are now and the problems here are what is ripe for release) is in Sagittarius - the sign of our big beliefs/the sign of the sage/preacher - none of this is going to come easy.

We are in our isolated spaces having deserted everyone around us to explore 'our truth'. We go to our phones and computers and mostly see the stuff that supports what we have seen before - because that's how the algorithms online work now - and we get agitated when someone doesn't agree with us. We even feel the need to argue with other people on their own posts on Facebook or report people's "fake news" to them as if we are their mothers.

We're not their mothers (unless we are, and then, of course, we get to DM them and ask them what the hell they are thinking).

We are not the "truth" police. It's not our job to control what other people think.

Self-righteousness is going to be one of our biggest challenges.

This is one of the reasons the nodes in Gemini/Sag often bring in a time of WAR. We want to avoid that, right. We can all agree - war bad. Avoid the war.

We are going to be working with our very old and very entrenched beliefs; the very spaces we are used to thinking of ourselves as "right".

Also with the Sag South Node we can expect changes with other Sagittarius themes - foreign travel, higher education, weddings, publishing, religion, legal issues, etc.

Now, nothing happens in a vacuum and at the same time we are going to have Neptune in Pisces which makes it very hard to know what is "true" - which is actually helpful for this transit and we are going to have Uranus in Taurus, upending what we value/creating chaos with our security and again this works well with this transit. Because we can't 'do' the North Node in Gemini without some changes to our security and values. We can't 'do' the North Node in Gemini when we have all the answers. We have Venus back in Gemini like she was in 2012 when we could have blown this 3D popsicle stand, but obviously weren't ready (sniffle) and collectively chose, unconsciously, to stay put and fight this out - SNIFFLE!

So, best case with all this is we learn the art of conversation; the process of skillful interaction. Humor will help, too!

We learn to offer our words/ our point of view with a sensitivity to the way the other person is hearing them. We invite their responses. We share helpful information. We turn the spotlight on other people from time to time via our questions rather than just going on and on about ourselves.

Conversation is like breathing, right, we inhale and then we exhale.

OK breathing, which Gemini rules, as well as our lungs, brings us to this pandemic and this corona-virus.

So, we come into this nodal switch with many, many people at home, feeling vulnerable and unsure about our security, our work in the world - if there is even going to be a world.

That North Node in Cancer/South Node in Capricorn - as this sh*t is apt to do - went out with a BANG.

With the Nodes changing at this time - because in astrology the chart when something begins sets up the whole game plan - it looks like we are going to collectively be deciding between two things/two ways of life. With the North Node in Gemini, coming to an agreement is probably not a possibility here. As a group we are going to come apart. We are going to split.

Right now, we are in a kind of limbo land. It's like we have been in an eight billion car pile-up. We have felt the initial impact of the crash. It was hard. It was fast. We had limited time to react. We are hurt and we suspect/know other people are hurt even worse.

The car crash has already happened.

But our car, and the others cars involved, haven't come to a stop yet.

We are still kind of tumbling around/flying through the air. So, whether we land in a soft marsh or slam into a semi going in the opposite direction or a brick wall isn't in our reality yet. We are maybe trying to avoid these worst scenarios, and maybe what we are doing is helping a little bit or maybe it is just creating a whole other set of problems. Like we have avoided the wall (a more rampant disease) which is a good thing, but then that semi is RIGHT IN FRONT OF US (the economy).

We don't know exactly what we are going to do and we don't know what the other drivers, and did I say eight billion, yes, eight billion, are going to do yet either.

I don't want to be negative because like I said we are still in the AIR. I also don't want to toss balloons over the car crash and call it a sweet sixteen party. Someday we will see the good/the silver lining that will come from this, but like I said .. the car hasn't even landed yet. Today is not that day. Tomorrow is not that day either.

I would suspect from the patterns and archetypes we are at a collective split. The cars are going to land on different roads and facing in different directions.

And in some very important ways we have already passed that split. Some of this is maybe already out of our hands. We are married to the future. But maybe there will be paths that lead to the other road in the future if we look hard enough. Then we will carry ourselves to this other space and watch our world reshape herself around us.

With Pluto retrograding back toward my natal Mercury, with my natal Mercury in serious, but also sometimes pessimistic Capricorn and with my third house Aquarius stellium including my Sun/Saturn making me a great over-thinker - I can gloom and doom with the best of them, believe me.

I could see a collective split in the future - being set up right now, between two sides of a scared populace. One side having been taken to the place where all we care about is that "this never happens again" and we give up our right to control our own body and our health via experimental/traceable vaccinations. We are tracked at all times, our conversations and our news controlled - for our safety and most importantly, for the safety of other people, of course. Or maybe there is no vaccine, so it isn't totally safe to venture outside just for pleasure anymore (we don't stop and ask if it ever was) - well who needs that park anymore, we can strip that land and give everyone a virtual reality headset for an imaginary picnic. No need to worry about keeping the cold cuts cold anymore either - another plus! And who needs other flesh and blood people in person - they are all so freaking germy - when we can just talk to the people who agree with us on Facebook or AI can just provide us with friends who will laugh at all our jokes, never be too tired to chat or out-cute us on bad-hair days. Money is dirty so that will go digital and yes it can be turned off and on, but why should we care about that, right? We pay our taxes. They won't turn our money off. We are the good guys. Masks and plastic shields will come in so many pretty designs and even though they could be totally ineffective, they are another great-equalizer and we will keep on buying them. We will call this side - the road for the people who value safety over all else.

And you might say to yourself, I don't value safety over all else, well, let's see then for you there is this other road - you cowboy/outlaw you!

Home to the people who value freedom over safety. This road will have less rules - no masks, no social distancing. There might be more illness for awhile at least, but maybe that will pass. This is the road for people who care more about "returning to the way things were before" or something like that. But maybe these people are not free to get on an airplane anymore or travel outside their "freedom" area or even work or live in certain places. There will be no trips to Disney World or trips to visit their family on the other side for this group. This is alot to give up, so maybe this road is not only the road less traveled, but maybe in not so many years, maybe not in our lifetime but maybe in our children's, it is the road not traveled at all.

This is very depressing, but the car is still in the air, like we said before

and there are certainly a thousand other/better roads - and almost surely I am thinking way too far ahead and extreme anyway. I know I am!

And there is always Chiron in Aries, we can draw ourselves up as the warriors we truly are if we need to.

In the meantime, maybe focus on the art of conversation part of Gemini/Sag. Give some thought to that. And we'll look at some different roads in Part III.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Saturday, May 9th, 2020 - the need to come up for air, our words are our fortune and our future

https://www.deviantart.com/thefirebomb/art/Girlfish-628665772

The Moon continues her journey through Sagittarius, nurtured through adventure and spontaneity and it's Saturday - find a way to get out of your comfort zone and have some fun before the Moon moves into 'serious-as-a-heart-attack' Capricorn tomorrow!

She will inconjunct the Sun in the morning EDT and then move on to square Neptune (1:13PM ) and oppose Venus at 3:13PM.

The waning inconjunct is a rock and a hard place with not only the Sun, but also this week's Full Moon in Scorpio story. That Scorpio Moon wants us to go deep/get to the truth/find the bottom, but today's Sag Moon reminds us of the need to come up for air!

Inconjunct the grounded Taurus Sun - this is also about optimism/hope vs practicality. This is a head in the clouds/feet on the ground blending that is hard to master, so we might kind of teeter-totter back and forth and that's OK.

The Moon's challenges with Neptune and Venus speak of caution/a red light with any large purchases/big investments today (yes, this includes over-the-top emotional investments). It also allows us to connect with other people and with our muses/angels/imagination today.

Mercury reaches 24 degrees and trines Pluto (retrograde in Capricorn) and she/he will trine Jupiter tomorrow. Trines remove the brakes. So communication with authority/power, particularly issues we are backtracking over, should go more smoothly. Talking/thinking about security issues/joint resources. The info we need/seek will come to our awareness.

This is an excellent aspect for manifesting what we are thinking/talking/writing about. Words (Mercury) are power (Pluto) so we need to use them well now. Our voice matters. This is also the energy for powerful people/corporations/govt to silence others' words - keep this in mind, too.

Powerful conversations/alignments with siblings or local community situations. This won't be something we have to push for, it will just fall smoothly into place.

This is EXCELLENT energy to set intentions and make a powerful vision board!

So we want to watch our language today - use our words intentionally or not at all.

BECAUSE WORDS ARE POWERFUL.

I love how "word" and "lord" can be combined to create "world". And "uni" meaning one and "verse" meaning word or poem or song makes "universe".

And a spell is a s-p-e-l-l.

And dog is God spelled backwards (maybe especially that one).

You might be familiar with the Bible story of the Tower of Babel - which is the story of God's displeasure at humankind's progress after the great flood. Everyone speaking the same language and working together meant soon nothing would be out of humankind's reach. This worried God so much that he scattered everyone all over the planet and changed their one language into many as a way to dis-empower everyone.

We can see how this is happening in our world today with Facebook, Google, etc, controlling the information we can access.

One nugget to take from this story is that Babel babble/inability to communicate = dis-empowerment/separation.

Mercury is the God of communication.

We honor Mercury when we speak our truth, when we think through our thoughts before we say our words, when we say more and talk less.

When we say what we want and not what we don't want.

We dishonor Mercury when we babble. We also dis-empower ourselves.

We are working through a powerful chapter about who has the power here and words/communication/connection - NOT AGREEMENT - are the super-power of the masses (Aquarius).

No matter our personal opinion about the Facebook stories/accounts that have been deleted lately (this will vary to the degree we value safety or freedom since we have no way of knowing the real truth here) - it can be very costly to humankind to allow ourselves to be silenced/disconnected again ....

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, May 8th, 2020 - practical action, confidence is healing, small decisions, multiple answers, daddy packs his bags

https://www.deviantart.com/njurur/art/we-are-the-sleepyheads-68812538

The Moon is in big-picture Sagittarius now (3:15AM EDT) and answering to a very slow Jupiter, ruler of the South Node now, very uncomfortable in Capricorn and preparing for his station next week. Venus is very slow and preparing to station, too, and so is SATURN. So, three planets will join Pluto and station retrograde starting on Sunday.

In the meantime, the Moon will sextile Saturn (1 degree at 6:26AM EDT) then move on to square Ceres (4 degrees) and trine Chiron (7 degrees). The sextile to sober Saturn keeps our "head in the clouds" Sag feet on the ground. Practical and optimistic energy. The need to not take anything too far, but at the same time the need to take it somewhere! The square to Ceres could bring up some tension/challenges later on with things "outside our control" or maybe some mothering/smothering issues. And then, finally, the confident Sag Moon will trine hurting/healing Chiron - we step up/we stand up - we feel better. Moon/Chiron can make us more sensitive, maybe overly reactive - something to keep in mind.

We are all kind of in this pressure cooker/cosmic science experiment anyway, right?

As Saturn stations retrograde on Sunday - and keep in mind all three planets that will retrograde next week are at the degree of their station already - what happens for us personally depends on our natal chart and our relationship with Saturn. If we have planets/points between 22 degrees Capricorn and 1 degree Aquarius (and maybe we can add a couple degrees on either side of this) we will feel his retrograde strongest.

1. ease restrictions/limits/traditions (daddy on vacation

or 2. create delays/pull back support (again, daddy's on vacation). It just depends on which kind of "daddy" we have via our natal chart!

Saturn retrogrades give us a second chance to get it right.

He will station direct at the end of September and it's report card time.

In the meantime, watch for over-confidence/delusion that creates avoidance.

We want to use that Saturn sextile today to take practical action.

Keep in mind always now the North Node in Gemini - keep your mind open, our stories/the facts are changing, there will be MANY small answers not one big answer, small will be bigger than big.

Small decisions are easier (and faster) to make anyway, and we have to start where we are, which is obvious because the concrete feels pretty thick. So, focus.

I keep thinking about that scene in the 80's Chevy Chase film "Funny Farm" where the moving guys are asking the locals for directions and the local guy, sitting on his porch and chewing on a piece of barley (as I remember it) says "well, I wouldn't start from here", and the moving guy says "well, supposen' you had to". That's where we stand with something. That's the thing that needs to move. It doesn't need to move from New York to Cleveland, but maybe it does need to get over the Brooklyn Bridge. Which might also be what someone is trying to sell you now, so stay frosty/alert.

We have less than 72 hours before the dominoes start to tumble backward - what do you want to do with these hours?

We are going to get much more busy. The busy is coming. Even if we don't get very far with all the retrogrades, the busy won't be stopped. But, maybe stop looking for a way out because we are all going further in.

Full Moon in Scorpio | May 7th, 2020 - what comes to light/what ends, reclaiming our commitment to life, money on everyone's mind, going with the flow, avoiding distractions, promises and problems that might not ever actually happen

We wake on Wednesday, May 6th with the Moon in Scorpio now. We are nurtured through intimacy, the ways we merge what we have/earn with other people, truth, getting to the bottom of things, research, purging the stuff that is 'dead' to us.

We've left the Venusian lunar energies of balanced Libra and are now (on some level) seeking emotional INTENSITY.

The Moon is quickly challenged by a square to Saturn in Aquarius (6:09AM EDT) - maybe we are over-complicating things by looking too far ahead this morning. Groups could be testy/demanding. Lunar squares to Saturn can feel depressing/lonely. The Moon in Scorpio wants to go deep/be intimate and Aquarius steps back/wants his space/won't go there.

The Moon in Scorpio likes to keep her secrets, but she is on a collision course with unpredictable Uranus (this afternoon) and then (tomorrow) with that bright Sun in Taurus aligned with Mercury - so things aren't very likely to stay hidden.

By 2:31PM (Wednesday EDT) she has moved into her opposition with disruptive Uranus. After the tension of that restrictive square this morning - here's where something can come uncorked. Or maybe whatever it is we have been smothering/obsessing over moves away from us!

Whatever this is, a Scorpio Moon needs to feel in control and here is something unexpected.

If Uranus doesn't get us to some kind of 'disclosure' - breakthrough, breakdown, break-up - on Wednesday, there is always the Full Moon on Thursday to bring something into the light.

(keep in mind our information planet Mercury is in slow and steady Taurus, so this could be a process, but we'll get there!)

On Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 6:45AM EDT - the Scorpio Moon will oppose the Taurus Sun at 17 degrees giving us this month's FULL MOON.

The Full Moon in Scorpio is ruled by Pluto (modern ruler) and Mars (ancient ruler). Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn and Mars is reaching the end of Aquarius, widely squaring the Moon and Sun.

Full Moons bring things to light and to a culmination/peak. They are times of opposition.

Scorpio, in the northern hemisphere, rules late autumn. The wind is blowing the leaves from the trees, the landscape is becoming barren, death is expected - there is a sense of being cut off, a sense we are on our own.

Taurus, in the northern hemisphere, rules late spring. The world is fertile. Taurus energy seeks the light/the touch of others.

Both signs are fixed and want what they want

(one energy isn't "good" and the other "bad" - neither could exist without the other - we could think of this as two sides of the same coin).

So, we have this polarity - Scorpio beckoning us "come over to the dark side" and not only because there are cookies (although there might be and I am pretty sure they will be homemade this year because everyone seems to be baking now or is that just all of us in stressed-out New Jersey clearing the shelves of flour and baking supplies), but because there is also buried treasure.

Scorpio energy embraces complication. There is no fear of what we might find when we go digging around in the dark because Scorpio knows the negative thought or feeling isn't bad, it's just an aspect of personality we have sacrificed to help us survive and "fit in"

(it is up to us to be HUMBLE enough, and astrology is helpful here, to find the context for such thoughts and feelings and give them credibility by knowing they are there for some GOOD reason).

Taurus is equally adamant that we should "stay where we are - it's safe, it's comfortable, it's working out just fine" and besides, here's the pantry with all that hoarded flour. Taurus energy embraces peace and comfort.

With Scorpio we have the shadow of control and jealousy and taking on too much that can fuel greed. With Taurus, the shadow of stubborn resistance to change and resistance to anything that is complicated - an attachment to the familiar that can also fuel greed.

There are no right or wrong answers. Without any journeying through Scorpio, Taurus "peace and comfort" is just pouring pink paint over our problems and calling them cotton candy. And without any journeying through Taurus, well, Scorpio's dark side, would just be, well, instead of fertile earth ... just too freaking terrifying.

With Scorpio we are either living our life or we are getting ready to die - and now that we all have one more thing that is looking to kill us - we need to make a commitment to being here if we really want to be here!

Let's unpack the chart!

The Moon is doing that "cheese stands alone thing" she did back in January, at the last Eclipse (still in play), but instead of standing in home-centered "mama-bear" Cancer, she is in the murky waters of Scorpio now. Deep in the underworld with grim-reaper Pluto. We know now something about how this January stuff will play out in the 3D world. Not everything. But we know now what we didn't know then.

Pluto don't play.

(and something to keep in mind with Scorpio Full Moons and the endings they sometimes bring - they are permanent resets, with distinct 'before and after' qualities and often involve trajectories we have resisted)

The Moon is opposing the Taurus Sun. The Sun is conjunct Mercury and this aspect is waning/unwinding. So, a couple days before the Full Moon, Mercury met the Sun - their first meeting since that MAJOR "time runs out" PALAVER back in January.

So, maybe a couple days ago some information came to light. Maybe something about our finances or shared resources. Maybe there was an important conversation or something culminated/finalized. An announcement. A result.

So now, Mercury has moved past the Sun. He carries this information with him. Maybe the light of the intimate Scorpio Full Moon intensifies the impact of the message he is carrying or maybe what was important just a couple days ago is much less important now.

He will be out of Taurus and into his home sign of Gemini on Monday, so the flow of information will speed up. A push for info/commerce/the flow of goods/to get things moving. But he/she will be squaring that Mars in Aquarius (the people/the science) slowing things down - PLUS THREE PLANETS STATION RETROGRADE NEXT WEEK.

So we will all be going backward!

The Moon and Sun are sextiling Neptune (strong in Pisces) connecting us to our past, our ancestors, spiritual wisdom, art, music, our imaginations, healing. THIS MATTERS. The Moon will sextile Neptune within a couple hours, the Sun within a couple days.

And, now that I think about it, the Sun will get to this sextile around the same time Mercury will trine Jupiter (Sunday, May 10th) and that's the day Saturn stations retrograde!

Neptune may be tricking Venus about what we think we want/need or making something seem better than it actually is this month, but here he is showing the Sun the real deal opportunity in Taurus - something practical, maybe something we already have.

One thing to keep in mind with Neptune is he can distract us from all sorts of important things. Our Pisces house always holds things we don't always want to, and sometimes just can't, see clearly.

But certainly watch for something to come to light this week that gives us an opening - a light at the end of the tunnel.

We've got the Full Moon ruler Pluto recently stationed retrograde in Capricorn, moving back toward the Saturn/Pluto conjunction point, away from Jupiter. Pluto retrogrades are times to do some deep inner work. Fear that is ripe for release will come up to be looked up/worked through/maybe just survived. Fear can arise through uncomfortable situations, but we can see it for what it is now. There is no confusion that we are simply safe at home. We are in Pluto's lair, playing Pluto's game, "hey I know you".

One thing that is probably going to be happening around this Full Moon is big financial issues are going to be out in the open. Also some of the virus death numbers might ratchet up, maybe from little pockets that were ignored/misinterpreted. What comes out at a Scorpio Full Moon will be 'truth', but she'll hold some of her secrets and everything won't come out.

There is another side/potential pitfall to the 'shelter at home' thing that we won't be able to ignore any longer. Our capitalistic system is being starved. This will play out both personally and collectively. More choice points - the North Node is in Gemini now. We will need information, communications, small steps not giant leaps. Doing things quickly can work, yes, but in small steps that are thought out and backed by the facts we know/the information available.

Scorpio's co-ruler (modern ruler) Mars is widely squaring the Moon/Sun and also trining Venus. That trine with Venus is deceptive because we know she is going to turn around next week and it won't be until September 28th when Venus is in Leo and Mars is in Aries that they will finally trine each other. So, this is kind of something building that never happens. Mars square to the Sun is also not going to happen in this cycle - they won't square until June 6th from Pisces and Gemini.

Maybe some of what this Full Moon promises - both good and bad - will not actually be delivered. And there are secrets here and things we just can't yet know.

At the same time Vesta is exactly conjunct Hygei. This is showing our continued focus/commitment - for another lunar cycle - to specific health practices including hygiene. Vesta is saying - yes, this still matters. Our health is sacred. Our health is our hearth. Put your attention HERE. Keep this fire burning.

Venus is just past her meeting with Vesta on April 14th when our focus, maybe almost like an obsession, fell on SOMETHING we wanted. Maybe we got it. Maybe we resisted. Whatever this is we will be revisiting this around the middle of May. And keep in mind Venus's square to Neptune - something we think we want or thought we wanted/needed is dissolving.

There is alot here we will be working through until the New Moon in Gemini in a couple weeks.

In the meantime, the Moon's sextile to Neptune makes this a wonderful Moon and highly effective Moon for prayer, meditation, music, poetry, Plutonian total transformation courtesy of GOING WITH THE FLOW.

Be sure to get out and walk in it if you can! This is an especially excellent Full Moon to purge what is no longer needed. The lunar cycle is like our breath cycle and the Full Moon is the point where our lungs are sated - we have inhaled and are now ready to exhale. So, what do we need to release?

Today's Astrology Forecast | Tuesday, May 5, 2020 - smooth sailing then the evening gets more stressful, communicate, socialize, our path/the story changes, the facts and the children will lead us

https://www.deviantart.com/yokhicolmadi/art/minik-bir-hediye-60260773

The Moon is in social Libra now - nurtured through other people, beauty, peace, bringing things into balance.

She (as us) has a lovely trine (brakes off) to ruler Venus in Gemini - so in mutual reception with Mercury in Taurus. Good for improved communication/connecting with other people. Tonight she runs into - via a tense square - a retrograde Pluto at 7:04PM EDT. Power struggles/intense situations and the Moon in Libra likes things smooth and easy. She will quickly trine Mars though (in Aquarius), so we should be able to work through whatever this is by using a cool head and keeping one detached eye on the future.

This is also the day via Libra/Taurus we get this month's Waxing Inconjunct between the Moon and the Sun showing a need to balance both our current resources, our money, our values, our wants with what is wanted/needed within our relationships/by other people. Inconjuncts are rocks and hard places, so require adjustment, some give and take, and still leave us unsettled because things cannot be fully reconciled. As part of this month's lunar cycle and with a Full Moon (in Scorpio so answering to powerful Pluto) in a just a couple days - it could be a good idea to deal with this now, rather than stuff it as a Libra Moon is prone to do with anything distasteful - and maybe tonight's squares force our hand with this - we will get a much better culminating result as the Moon reaches her fullness in Scorpio, if we do (dealing with the ways we merge ours with theirs, etc)

The big news today, but this is longer term, so more impactful over time - the Nodes of the Moon move from Cancer into Gemini and Capricorn to Sagittarius. We still have an eclipse on the Cancer/Capricorn polarity and Mercury is going to make a long retrograde through Cancer - June/July and Mars will square Cancer/Capricorn in the fall, so we are still dealing with this polarity, but it is no longer our guideposts.

The past, where we are now, represented by Sagittarius now - our entrenched beliefs, may become even more entrenched until it becomes obvious they are the elephant in the room blocking the door. Sag themes - travel, higher education, weddings, politics, legal issues, the media, publishing, foreigners, everything outside our comfort zone, exploration, our beliefs and higher thinking and, of course, the theme of our natal Sag house - will be subject to the disintegration of whatever is no longer working.

The future, our best path forward is represented by Gemini now - our mind, information, communication, facts, asking a question, questioning ourselves, making a new choice, telling a fresh story, looking at fresh perspectives and new ideas, trying new things, taking a class, doing something within our local neighborhood, calling our sister (or brother or cousin), starting that book, starting that business, making something smaller, travel/shop/sell more locally.

We will talk about this alot over the next couple years. We change our beliefs (and this is fate, so no stopping this train!), we change our life.

Instead of running on hope/what we believe we will be running on information. Start small. In Gemini we absorb information - this will be a great transit for learning. The student will be a more important role for us than the teacher. What is best for the kids, more important than what is best for older people - you can see how this is going to flip everything as we move through this. Trust this. Everything is unfolding just as it should be.

Today's Moon will go void at 10:31PM EDT off a square to Jupiter diving into Scorpio while we sleep preparing for the big Full Moon - we will talk about that in the next post.

Astrology Forecast for creatives | Week of May 4th - May 10th, 2020 - major pivot points, our path forward shifts, clarity, culminations, a focus on finances, being re-wired for a new world, time is on our side

https://www.deviantart.com/fairyladyphotography/art/Willows-739659027

This is a HUGE week and so is next week - after that the energy should slow down for a couple weeks.

This isn't the time for big decisions if we can help it, (because so much is in flux this week and next), but it is the time to really think about the ways we make decisions.

Do we move toward what we want or do we move away from what we don't want with no clear idea of where we are headed? As simple as this sounds - getting real about this, is going to make all the difference in the way things play out for us over the next 18 months!

SUNDAY - Venus squares Neptune
MONDAY - Mercury conjuncts the Sun
TUESDAY - Nodes change signs- North Node into GEMINI, South Node into Sagittarius
THURSDAY - Full Moon in Scorpio (17 degrees)
FRIDAY - trigger date for next month's ECLIPSE
SATURDAY - Mercury trines Pluto
SUNDAY - Mercury trines Jupiter

SUNDAY - Venus, in Gemini (for a long back and forth), squares Neptune, in Pisces, the first of THREE squares. There are many ways for this to play out, but this is basically tension/the need to adjust between what we want/or the choices that are available right now vs the 'ideal". Something unrealistic could feel very realistic, so proceed cautiously. This will be in play all month and then pick back up at the end of July.

We talked about this last week HERE and then again HERE.

MONDAY - Mercury in Taurus, meets the Sun at 14 degrees.

This is amplified by being in play at this week's Full Moon later in the week. This is the superior conjunction in their cycle and brings a culmination - CLARITY, a clear result/ending or practical/grounded news or information. Personally this will be about/come through our Taurus house theme, collectively this will be about our values, resources, money and security. We also have Mars quintile (which I don't talk about much, but it could be useful here to know about it) Uranus tonight, so something unexpected coming in.

TUESDAY - This is HUGE and will be in play for the next 18 months.

The North Node (our collective way forward) moves into Gemini and our South Node (where we are now, what we have outgrown) moves into Sagittarius.

Alot of what happens to us collectively (and personally) here is FATED for the next year and a half.

We talked about this HERE and I am going to return to that post and update it for the pandemic.

This is an eighteen month process - away from our homes (Cancer) and out into our communities (Gemini), away from a focus on our security/vulnerabilities toward a focus on different facts/information/choices.

We become more dualistic as, collectively and personally, we move in TWO very different directions!

When we can see both sides of a situation - that's when we will be able to get things moving. When we just dig in our heels and know we are right and the other side is wrong we will just get more and more stuck in the mud, spinning our wheels.

With the South Node in Sag - we are releasing (through often complicated and sometimes painful situations) outdated beliefs, the things we think we "know for sure", issues around foreign situations, travel, education, religion, politics. Very old and very deep stories about what we BELIEVE (and our beliefs truly form who we are) are going to be put to bed over the next eighteen months.

We'll explore more about this in a bigger post, and, of course as we move through it. And, again, don't miss checking out the Nodes post HERE.

We can see how life is synchronistically setting us up for this - both collectively and in our personal lives already.

(it's been interesting how the end of the North Node in Leo brought us here in the U.S. into the Trump Presidency - the ultimate Leo/king/royalty storyline and the end of the North Node in Cancer brought so many people home and all of us face to face with greater insecurity/our vulnerabilities - the Universe don't play around folks!)

THURSDAY - This is the big Scorpio Full Moon (17 degrees), ruled by a retrograde Pluto and with the Moon making nice with Neptune (our dreams!) and the Sun conjunct Mercury. This is about truth and reality. Intimacies. Merged resources. Pretending everything can just go back to the way it was or that everything is OK isn't going to work.

The stuff underneath, dark as it might be, must be acknowledged, but, getting lost in some murky media-fueled horror show of "certainty" - whether that be death or economic depression - rather than the neutral unknown TRUTH can do us even more damage!

And we'll talk about this in a big FULL MOON post later in the week.

On FRIDAY, we reach the trigger date for next month's Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius. I find events sometimes occur exactly one month before or after the eclipse itself. So, we could be reaching a BIG culmination related to our Sag natal house theme or the collective themes of - higher education, our beliefs, travel, media, religion, politics, weddings, foreign situations.

SATURDAY - Mercury trines Pluto - so Mercury met the Sun on Monday and started (as us through information, news, communications, a sibling situation, local community, transportation, internet) a new chapter (as one ends, one always begins) and now he/she trines (brakes off) a retrograde Pluto -

deepening the information/more truth now maybe and certainly a greater intensity. We could have a powerful influence via our words/information or others could be making one on us, so think about what you are feeding your brain now.

Good for research/getting to the bottom of things and dealing with powerful people and situations. this isn't something we have to force, it will just naturally happen.

SUNDAY - Now, after Mercury unwinds a little bit from Pluto she/he moves into a trine (again, brakes off) with Jupiter (in Capricorn). Good news. Expansion. Confidence. With Mercury in Taurus - this is good for money-making/resource building information/communication/ideas to come in. Again, this won't be something we have to force, it will just naturally happen.

Just keep in mind, Mercury is in Taurus, so answering to Venus, and we know she is squaring illusive Neptune. Don't bet the farm or run off to Vegas (is Vegas even open?) just yet. Keep one eye on your heart and the other on your wallet.

Back with some dailies and the Full Moon in Scorpio post!

Next week Venus, Saturn and Pluto will all turn backward giving us all a chance to make better decisions!
