Chiron into Aries | February 18th, 2019 thru 2026 - healing the wounded masculine, our path to self-love, healing through action, our victim stories and wallowing is so last transit, no one is you and THAT is your super-power

Chiron was the first discovered (in 1977) and is the largest of the Centaurs - originally classified as asteroids and now called "minor planets". The Centaurs, like their mythical namesakes who were half-man, half-horse are wild celestial bodies. They come from the opposite side of the Sun and move toward the Sun vertically like comets do. Their orbits are erratic. Chiron, orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, is a bridge between these two great planets - he is a shamanic energy.

Last April, Chiron moved into Aries and gave us a sneak-peak of the next few years, but then stationed retrograde and once again backed into Pisces.

On February 19th, he will once ingress into Aries, this time for the long haul (through 2026). In Aries, Chiron turns away from the emotional, connecting reactions and the victim stories we grew through during his nine years in Pisces and toward the chapter of our personal regeneration.

Aries is the first sign so rules newness.

What does it take to embrace the new? It takes courage.

Chiron in Pisces has been about feeling and then surrendering the wound. Pisces is gentle energy. Water wears away rough edges over time.

With Chiron in Aries changes will be faster. Rough edges will be smoothed efficiently on a chopping block. We will have to get right back up when we fall down. We will see what we need to do and then we will need to do it.

There will be less time for reflection and there won't be any time for wallowing.

This will be about taking action.

Individual action. The kind of action that isn't always supported by other people. The kind of action we take for ourselves. This energetic is intensely impactful for the collective, too, although it could feel like we are all alone in whatever we do with this.

Our natal Aries house(s) theme(s) will be our personal field of healing.

Every situation, person, place and thing that comes through this space- if honestly met - will carry the opportunity to simultaneously gift and wound us here.

I believe, as spiritual beings, we came here with a game plan - a blueprint, a set of guidelines for our life arranged in a language of patterns and archetypes. Some of our blueprints are very specific. Most, are specific in some areas and more general in others.

Our natal astrology chart is a complicated set of specifications designed to build up an individual and run him/her. Like we would build a car or 3D print a Christmas ornament, except our "blueprints" are a map of our consciousness.

Unlike a machine, we always have the choice to become more conscious - more than our blueprints (we have free will) but without our blueprints we can't gain entrance here to life on planet Earth. They anchor us in time and space.

It may seem impossible to believe, that you, that I, that all of us, came into being with a plan/possibility for Chiron (discovered in 1977, so not even knowable when many of us were born) to move into the Aries room in our "blueprint" - the space we have always had to fight, always had to walk through that door alone, always had to initiate, be brave, be motivated - in order to get anything done, in order to be accepted - probably for lifetimes - that Chironic energy (wounded healer) was going to come into this space at this exact time in order to heal the wounds we are holding/hiding here. And all the actions we have taken up until now have prepared us for this.

There is a reason the symbol for Chiron looks like a key. Chiron acts like a portal between Saturn's reality and Uranus's awakening energies. And much about this new energy isn't understood yet.

(note the "key" is really a grouping of the letters O and K - originally called Object Kowal after discoverer Charles Kowal who then synchronistically named his find Chiron)

There are as many ways Aries in Chiron can play out as there are people on this planet.

A word salad could stretch our brain here, so let's try a few:

Healing the wounded (Chiron) masculine (Aries), healing (Chiron) from violence/war (Aries), physical (Aries) disabilities (Chiron), going (Aries) until we drop (Chiron), healing through men, male bonding, healing through self-defense, healing through self-assertion, healing through conflict, healing through courage, healing by going it alone, healing through our instincts or painful instincts, healing by pushing past a vulnerability, healing through expressing/acknowledging unexpressed anger or resentment, healing by resolving competition issues, healing through fighting/through passion, yada yada. You get the idea.

Remember our Aries house has always been the space we have had to fight/work alone/compete/push for what we want if we are going to have it.

Chiron is going to help us lighten this load.

And like the medic resetting a shoulder that has come out of its socket, here is the part where I say, "this is probably going to hurt."

Issues around self-doubt and self-worthiness will surface.

Chiron in Aries will form a natural opposition to Libra (and this is part of the Aries/Libra polarity dance) - this would be a time when the other people in our lives, and the people we meet, who have the energetic frequencies that can easily re-wound us (trigger our early wounding/past life wounds/familial karma), will do just that.

It can be painful, but this is the path to SELF- LOVE.

And yes, it will be strewn with roses and thorns.

Chironic healing doesn't mean the wounded space just disappears. Like a scar left after a deep cut, there is something about the wound we have to learn to live with. The healing comes through acceptance which shifts our energy and we become like a BEACON attracting others with similar wounds (the way a recovering alcoholic can help an alcoholic in ways no one else can).

As a collective we will learn to express anger, aggression and force in healthy, positive ways. We will be healing our sense of identity - that thing Uranus has been busy dismantling these last few years!

Uranus tilled the ground for this healing with his own eight year journey through Aries which comes to a close next month. The erratic energy exits stage left and the healing energy enters stage right.

The house is Arian - so the healing is flavored by Martian vibes (just as Uranus has been influenced by Mars these past few years). Whatever house Aries rules in our natal chart is ALWAYS going to be a house that favors action - this healing won't be any exception.

During 2019, Chiron will move from 0 degrees Aries to 5 degrees Aries by July 8th when he will station retrograde. He will get back to 1 degree Aries and then station direct on December 12th. Then we get to re-do the 1-5 degrees of Aries again for the third time (older and wiser). And this is kind of how it will go with the next few degrees every year until Chiron finishes up in Aries. In 2019, people with planets and points between 0 and 5 degrees Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn - will feel Chiron's energy strongest. Aries planets will get the conjunction, Libra the opposition and Cancer/Capricorn the squares. If you don't have any personal planets/points here, you might not feel personally impacted by Chiron's transit this year, but everyone will be impacted on a collective level.

The way things start is very important and the chart for February 19, 2019 reflects the importance of this transit - Chiron moves onto the hyper-sensitive world axis point of 0 degrees Aries. The Sun will be at 0 degrees Pisces and the Moon at 0 degrees Virgo, so this is happening on the Virgo Full Moon. Uranus will still be conjunct Mars (their exact conjunction is February 13th - a very powerful and combustible meeting). The Nodes will be squaring Uranus (this has been in play for a few months).

For the next few years as transitting planets interact with Chiron we will be dealing with certain collective (and personal) events. So, for example during Aries season, the Sun will meet Chiron and likely Mercury will meet Chiron and during Libra season, the Sun will oppose Chiron and likely Mercury will oppose Chiron. There will be squares during Cancer and Capricorn season. And times Chiron squares the Nodes. You get the idea. And with Chiron in Aries and answering to Mars we need to keep an eye on what Mars is doing. For example in May, Mars will be in Cancer and squaring Chiron. In early October 2020 - just a few weeks before the Saturn/Pluto conjunction is exact and with multiple planets in Capricorn - Mars will be in Libra opposing Chiron. In March 2020, Mars will be in Capricorn squaring Chiron.

This is the greatest opportunity we have had in 50 years to heal self-worth issues from our childhoods, from our ancestors and from our past lives.

We all have Chiron somewhere in our natal charts.

This is the Achille's heel/early wounding we try to avoid by building walls, staying busy, running away, hitting them before they can hit us, etc. With Chiron's move into Aries, two things happen to our individual charts. 1. Our Aries house gets the opportunity to heal via a visit from the wounded healer Chiron and 2. Chiron starts answering to Mars (Aries ruler) becoming more Martian - this is where the healing through action, through initiative, through courage part comes in.

By the time Chiron takes his leave for Taurus (2026) we are going to have a greater acceptance of ourselves (SELF-LOVE) and an understanding of how our uniquely individual energy is important for healing both our individual life and the entire collective.

Yes, we are that important. Every one of us.

No one is you and THAT is your super-power.

We'll talk more about this as we move through it. I will link to this (as well as other longer-term posts) on the front page of the site, for easier tracking and I'll add a "by house" section which gets more specific when I do that and post a heads-up. Note - some of this post is new and some is from an earlier post from last spring when Chiron ingressed into Aries before his retrograde.

Chiron into Aries | healing the wounded masculine, stepping into our warrior energy, healing through action, facing our anger

not angry by ZNZtazmanijus

Early this morning Chiron left Pisces - where he has been hanging his hat since 2011 - for warrior Aries.

In Aries, Chiron turns away from the emotional, connecting reactions and the victim stories we grew through in Pisces (this is a long process he is going to be in Aries for seven years but will drift back into Pisces during his retrograde, September 25th, 2018 - February 18, 2019)

and toward our personal regeneration.

(as the Parkland survivors have been reminding us - and if they are annoying you that annoyance is something to look at, not to judge yourself, just to sit with it - the time for prayers and long-suffering silence is over and this isn't about guns, but yes, in warrior Aries, Chiron will be about healing our relationship with guns, too)

Aries is the first sign so rules newness. What does it take to embrace the new? It takes courage.

Chiron in Pisces has been about feeling and then surrendering the wound. Chiron in Aries will require action.

Every situation, person, place and thing - if honestly met - will simultaneously gift and wound us here.

I believe, as spiritual beings, we came here with a game plan - a blueprint, a set of guidelines for our life arranged in a language of patterns and archetypes. Some of our blueprints are very specific. Most, are specific in some areas and more general in others. We probably can't even begin to know all the reasons for this. They are almost certainly diverse and complex.

Our natal astrology chart is a complicated set of specifications designed to build up an individual and run him/her. Like we would build a car or 3D print a Christmas ornament, except our "blueprints" are a map of our consciousness.

Unlike a machine, we always have the choice to become more conscious - more than our blueprints, we have free will - but without our blueprints we can't gain entrance here to life on planet Earth.

They anchor us in time and space.

It may seem impossible to believe, that you, that I, that all of us, came into being with a plan/possibility for Chiron (discovered in 1978, so not even knowable when many of us were born) to move into the Aries room in our "blueprint" - the space we have always had to fight, always had to walk through that door alone, always had to initiate, be brave, be motivated - in order to get anything done, maybe in order to be accepted - probably for lifetimes - that Chironic energy (wounded healer) was going to come into this space on April 17, 2018 - to work with this energy precisely as we carry it as of April 17, 2018, in order to heal the wounds we are holding/hiding here.

Life is magical that way.

There are a million ways this could play out.

A word salad could stretch our brain here, so let's do that: healing the wounded (Chiron) masculine (Aries), physical (Aries) disabilities (Chiron), going (Aries) until we drop (Chiron), healing through men, male bonding, healing through self-defense, healing through self-assertion, healing through conflict, healing through courage, healing by going it alone, healing through our instincts, painful instincts, healing by pushing past a vulnerability, healing through expressing/acknowledging unexpressed anger or resentment, healing by resolving competition issues, healing by being ourselves - you get the idea.

Remember our Aries house has always been the space we have had to fight/work alone/compete/push for what we want if we are going to have it.

Chiron is going to help us lighten this load.

And like the medic resetting a shoulder that has come out of its socket, here is the part where I say, "this is probably going to hurt."

Our Pisces house gets to breathe a nice sigh of relief. Chiron will be back for a few months, during his retrograde, to tie up the loose ends in Pisces and give our Aries houses (and especially people with planets/points in early Aries) a short respite.

Chironic healing doesn't mean the wounded space just disappears.

Like the scar after the deep cut, there is always something here we kind of have to learn to live with. The healing comes through acceptance. The healing comes through our learning to work with/live with the wound - the embrace of our scars - somehow this shifts our energy and we become like a beacon attracting others with similar wounds (the way a recovering alcoholic can help an alcoholic in ways no one else can).

That's where the collective thing comes in. But for now this will be all about ourselves. Remember this is a process. We can't jump ahead and skip steps.

We will heal by learning to express anger, aggression and force in healthy, positive ways.

For today - if we think about why we aren't doing what we want to be doing - who/what we are afraid of angering - why we are pissed off at men/the man/him - what we are resentful about - why we don't defend ourselves - why we are always defending ourselves - why we push our physical bodies so damn hard - why we don't get off the couch - we might find a place to start.

weekly astrology forecast | December 19th - 25th, 2022 - the week our painful vulnerabilities push us toward something better, a second wind and a second chance, new goals and ambitions and upgraded traditions

I am a bit slammed for time tonight, so let's jump right into the week and we will iron a few wrinkles out in the New Moon post next!

MONDAY, December 19 - Venus squares Chiron, Venus trines North Node, Sun crosses Galactic Center

TUESDAY, December 20 - Jupiter re-enters Aries!!

WEDNESDAY, December 21 - Sun into Capricorn (Winter Solstice northern hemisphere)

THURSDAY, December 22 - Venus trines Uranus

FRIDAY, December 23 - Chiron stations direct, NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN

SATURDAY, December 24 - Mercury sextiles Neptune

On MONDAY - Venus in Capricorn squares Chiron, Mars retro in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries then Venus trines the North Node In Taurus (a sign she rules

The Venus/Chiron square is painful/hurts. We could be reminded of how we don't quite fit in. Maybe this is a work situation where we do not feel like we are good enough or we feel unappreciated. Maybe we feel unattractive or too old. Maybe we make a mistake/feel humiliated/vulnerable. Venus is inconjunct Mars, so what we want and how we go about getting it are not so compatible right now - our actions/words can be awkward. This is a Cappy/Aries square - authority/rules vs the individual.

The good news - Venus immediately moves into a trine with the North Node (our best way forward - something more stable and more simple and more abundant). So somehow this pain/vulnerability is helping us move in a more solid direction. Something falls together as we take small practical steps in a new direction. Time to value ourselves. Keep in mind also Mars retro's opportunistic sextile to Chiron - keep things light, say it again in a different way, do something over, ask another question, make a different decision. Mars in Gemini is quick, so don't dwell on the painful situation/keep going.

This is also the day the Sun crosses over the Galactic Center - our homing center/seat of creation/source - pray, meditate, light a candle, ask for guidance.

On TUESDAY - Jupiter returns to Aries!! - crossing an Aries point (where our collective attention is all on the same thing) and GIVING US A SECOND WIND and A SECOND CHANCE.

We are back where we were on May 10th when Jupiter moved into Aries the first time, but now we are older and wiser. If we jumped into something back then that didn't seem to go anywhere, or we didn't jump and wish we had, or we jumped too quickly and made a mess of things, well, we might just get a second chance now to do it BETTER. If a situation got stuck or turned around back at the end of July or end of October, well, here's where things can start moving again. Keep in mind, Jupiter's propensity for 'bigger-is-better' - hopefully we used the the retro period and Jupiter's backtrack into Pisces to get an assessment of the reality of something here. If something starts to grow that is not to your liking think about what you have learned in the last few months and use the retrograde Mars in Gemini to make different choices and take different actions.

In Aries, Jupiter will get all of us fired up in some part of our life. Our Aries house expands. Jupiter, the natural ruler of fiery Sagittarius will increase our optimism/faith. We will talk about this in the next few posts. Jupiter will only be in Aries until May 2023, so because Aries is impulsive and this transit will be quick, there will be times we might feel like we have to grab onto things before we are sure and sometimes we will (why Jupiter rules FAITH) have to do this, but, we can also take something too far or go too fast, especially with Mars retrograde and Mercury about to be. Opportunities WILL present themselves. We are going to have to know ourselves/what we really want and need and be smart about things. Sometimes we are going to have to jump onto the train without the itinerary all set out for us and maybe with some of our luggage still at the station. We'll talk about this in the New Moon post and as we move through this. Keep in mind mid-January is going to launch a very clear GO cycle of many weeks.

On WEDNESDAY - the Sun moves into Capricorn (Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere) - we will talk about this in the next post on the New Moon. The standing Sun - 0 degrees Cappy - with beneficial Jupiter at 0 degrees Aries, the FIRST DEGREE of the zodiac - feels like a BIG FRESH START with an extra push. Multiple planets in Cappy should keep our feet on the ground.

Post to follow!

On THURSDAY - Venus in Cappy trines Uranus in Taurus. Like Mercury did last week, now serious Venus in Capricorn wants something ELSE. We are attracted to what is new and unusual. Traditions are upgraded/changed. Maybe we are stepping into new responsibilities, making new commitments, setting new goals. Career changes should provide more freedom. Something can fall into place here. Earth trines are solid/practical. Something here just makes sense/cents. And of course, Venus/Uranus can bring surprises with love and money!

On FRIDAY - Chiron stations direct. New Moon in Capricorn squaring an optimistic and expansive Jupiter in Aries.

Chiron direct means we are moving forward with whatever hurt/vulnerability we have been re-working since the middle of 2021. Collectively this will be about our ability to take care of ourselves and be ourselves and personally our natal and progressed Aries house themes will apply, too. With Jupiter in Aries now, too, we will have increased confidence and courage to deal with what hurts, trash any self-sabotaging crap and move on. I like the timing of this one.

This is also the day the Moon meets the Sun at 1 degree Capricorn giving us this month's New Moon, our annual New Moon in serious Capricorn. This New Moon is all about setting and applying ourselves to new and realistic, long-term goals and ambitions, making commitments to situations and people that make sense/cents - things we want to grow and taking responsibility for ourselves, BIG girl pants on. That square to a fiery Jupiter is going to push us to take some risks over the next few weeks. There is potential and optimism here, but we will surely have to watch for exaggerated hopes and over-doings. Expect a BIG post!

I hope something here is helpful. Short and sweet because I am a bit wiped out from a holiday party we threw tonight and the week looks pretty damn good.

The Moons on Christmas Eve (Cappy) and Christmas Day (Aquarius, so yes the mood will change) both look seriously dreamy and Mercury will be sextiling Neptune for even more 'making our dreams come true' energy.

Back with that important New Moon post next!

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | let's take a look at 2018 - reality bites back, part II

I Was Broken by Martin Stranka

OK, back to the future!

Chiron moves into Aries in April (until 2026).

Chiron is called the wounded healer. Read the centaur myths for background. Chiron comes from the opposite side of the Sun, from the "otherness/darkness" of outer space. Chiron's placement in our natal chart shows us our own space of "otherness/darkness"; our wounded heritage.

Sometimes when we work with Chironic energies we find we can do more to help other people than we can do to help ourselves.

Chironic happenings make us more healed and more whole AND at the same time they make us more fragile and more vulnerable - so the cure and the wounding are both experienced at the same time.

If you were born with Chiron in Aries, this would show a kind of hypersensitivity to the idea of self in whatever house Chiron shows up. This is a wounding to our self-worth. It can show up as an inability to assert our own needs. It can make us over-reactive and over-sensitive to criticism. Since Aries rules the first house of our physical self - it could even make us accident prone, particularly in regard to accidents involving our head. It can produce headaches or situations we speak of as "a headache".

A musician friend with Chiron in Aries in his 5th house (also North Node 5th house) worked in a music store. The owner of the store wanted him to take on some students and teach them to play the guitar, but he always said no. He just didn't think he could do it, although he told himself he didn't want to do it.

Over the years as his money and joints got tighter and his love of music grew less enthusiastic, he found himself pushed into a corner (Aries requires us to be brave and we often, unless we have strong Aries/Mars in our chart, must have our backs against the wall to act) and finally agreed to try teaching - just "a few" students.

Three years later his 'few' students has grown to 60 students. He is the most sought after music teacher in his city. He teaches the children music, but he also helps them with their self-esteem. They tell him things they don't tell anyone else. They never miss a lesson. Their parents are amazed at the changes in their most bashful children. My friend's joints aren't as achy. His money isn't quite so tight. He is more self-assured, too.

He still has some issues asserting himself outside that classroom though.

Maybe it is something we can never totally 'fix' because it is the fragility, vulnerability and authenticity it opens up in us that is needed (for us and for other people - there is only one of us here) and not the actual healing (for us).

OK, so what does Chiron's move into Aries in 2018 mean to us.

It will bring a focus on our personal accountability to self. It will push into our awareness, any way it can (remember Uranus has just been creating chaos in this space opening everything up), whatever aspect of our personal existence we have abandoned.

Collectively, maybe the Chiron archetype itself morphs as we move into a new cycle with Aries, the first sign, the starting point. Maybe we can move from the 'wounded healer' into more of our own wholeness over the next few years. Surely we will be working with the more Aries/masculine woundedness - the spaces wounded by war and competition.

Some things this could bring up for us since our Chironic wounding is very much an inherited wounding - 1. Patterns we need to release, especially the stuff we have done in the past to keep us safe that is now keeping us stuck. So stuff will happen to us and we will react in our usual ways and either our usual ways will not work or we will see what we are doing in time to be brave (Aries) and do what is most loving and healing for ourselves 2. The childhood pacts and compromises we signed in order to be loved and accepted by others that are not very loving and accepting to us. We are starting a new cycle with all of this stuff. Those contracts have expired. We may find we aren't sure who we are for a while without these types of commitments and that's OK. Again we are starting a new cycle. We might have more questions than answers.

The years between now and 2024 when Pluto moves into Aquarius are a crisis point - crisis meaning both danger and opportunity.

There is alot of energy in 2018 that will focus us on being self-supporting and self-sustaining.

Where is Aries in your natal chart - this will be the house Uranus has been rocketing through the past seven years - something here is ripe for healing.

The North Node moves into Cancer and the South Node into Capricorn - coming home - in part III.

Full Moon in Aries | October 9, 2022 - restoring balance to relationships that have run off course, ending toxic connections & behaviors, last Full Moon before Eclipses

On Sunday, October 9th, at 4:54PM EDT, the Aries Moon moves into an exact opposition with the Libra Sun giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in Aries.

The Full Moon is always a time of tension (there is something to all that howling after all) - it's a time of Sun opposite Moon. Oppositions are pretty much just what they sound like. This one is in the "me vs we" polarity of the Aries/Libra axis.

This is the culmination of the Aries New Moon that launched the lunar year back in April, so maybe something from that time is finishing up/becoming illuminated/peaking.

Feels like years ago, doesn't it? I think I am aging in dog years now. Woof. At the Full Moon things peak, culminate or come to light. Results are delivered. Stuff finishes up. And this is our last Full Moon before Eclipse season, so is MEGA important.

Let's unpack the chart!

The Moon opposes the Libra Sun from 16 degrees Aries. The Moon is conjunct Chiron, The Sun is conjunct Venus (the Moon opposes) and answering to Venus, strong in her home sign of Libra. The Moon sextiles Saturn. The Sun trines. Uranus squares Saturn (exact by degree). Mars, the ruler of this lunation is at the 'power' degree of 22 in Gemini and answering to Mercury, recently direct in his home sign of Virgo. Mars trines Saturn (Grand Air Trine with Mars, Saturn and the Sun) and squares Neptune. The Moon/Sun are T-Squaring Black Moon Lilith in Cancer.

The Moon is conjunct Chiron. This aspect is separating/has already happened. Is still in play. So, just before the Moon reaches her fullness in Aries, she passes over Chiron/merges with Chiron (the Sun opposed Chiron on Friday). This makes this Moon extremely SENSITIVE. And this is Aries, an uncomfortable space for sensitivity. The Aries Moon is a warrior/protector not so much given to traditional nurturing or sentimentality. This is the mother who wants her children to be strong and independent. She doesn't coddle.

This conjunction can bring up emotional wounds. Mother wounds. Painful female relationships. Maybe we are feeling the ways we don't fit in or how we don't "look" the way we want to look. With the Sun in projecting Libra we could be feeling the way someone else is hurting or the way they don't fit in. Fears around not being able to take care of ourselves or be ourselves can come up through situations that stimulate these feelings. At almost the same time this is happening the Moon is opposing Venus. Echoing challenges with females/with partners. Feeling out of balance. Feeling the unfairness/injustice of something, What we are wanting isn't matching up with what we need. We are thinking/feeling all the ways our relationship/the other person isn't measuring up. There could be some kind of disappointment here.

And this is all happening in the background of the Aries/Libra polarity - me vs we.

Now, at the same time, the Sun (in Libra, so answering to Venus) is conjuncting Venus. This is one of the most harmonious aspects in astrology. This is amplified by the Full Moon in Aries, but opposing it. So, there is something here about us standing on our own two feet/being self reliant. If the ugly here is too ugly, the Aries Full Moon/Chiron opposing Sun/Venus can give us the grace and self-respect to DEAL WITH IT. To face whatever this is HEAD ON.

This is why this Moon will only be so challenging. Venus/Sun and Venus opposed Moon are both HELPFUL, loving. We are looking at the other person in a more loving way. Seeing the warts, the vulnerabilities in ourselves and maybe that is what allows us to be more compassionate with others. Maybe some person has been driving us crazy, and something may even come to a head here - likely this will come before the Moon  - and then, something either breaks lose - it is easier for things to end at Full Moons, especially this one - or, maybe we soldier on - the path to true love littered with fewer obstacles because we are dealing with the reality of what something is, warts and all.

This is all happening just as Pluto is stationing direct. So, here is the death that was postponed - the ending/the dead thing we are carrying around and need to release coupled with the Full Moon's need to exhale almost forces this to happen OR here is the thing that DIDN'T DIE, and now we have a full-load of Aries fire to breath some life into it/fire it up/push it back on track. Sun/Venus in Libra is loving, harmonious, peaceful. Speaks of our RELATIONSHIPS. Venus is trining Saturn, so this is SERIOUS. We are either committed or we aren't.

Rings go on fingers and rings come off.

The Sun is in a helpful (brakes off) trine to Mars in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius. Here is the AIR, the fiery Full Moon needs. Mercury is just moving off his/her square to Mars, who in Gemini, is answering to Mercury who has just stationed direct, too, so we are probably saying things we have been thinking about or saying things we have said before, but now there is some force/fire/energy behind the words.

The Moon is sextiling Saturn and Mars, so we should be able - in the Moon's bright light - to see more clearly our options and limits. And, again, this is all about our RELATIONSHIPS. And probably a primary relationship.

And in the background of all this is the Saturn/Uranus square - separating now, but exact within degree. The old vs the new. The stability vs the chaos.

This is all forcing our RISING TO THE OCCASION. Whatever the occasion is! Whether we need to work on something that has run off the road or end something that is TOXIC.

We are all lying in the beds we made, so what are we going to do with these sheets and blankets and maybe even that person lying next to us?

The Aries Full Moon is answering to Mars, who is in Gemini and answering to Mercury in Virgo. Because of his own upcoming retrograde Mars will be in Gemini until March 2023, so this Full Moon is part of the long and winding road to March 2023. Happening with the Moon's final dispositor (Mercury) in stable and practical Virgo tells us the best way through this Moon is by being stable and practical. Attending to our health. Attending to our daily obligations. Small is BIG. The way we do one thing is the way we do everything now.

Mars is approaching his square to Neptune, and this, with Mars' upcoming retrograde will be repeating and ongoing. This is already in play and we will feel it stronger as October plays out. Mars is our drive, our passion, our action, our energy. In Gemini, this is us, doing two things at once or doing things twice. This transit has us focused on our Gemini house theme or the more general Gemini themes of communication, words, paperwork, the local community, school, schoolchildren, writing, transportation, tech, etc. The square to Neptune is like the draining of our batteries/attention. Maybe we catch a cold. Maybe we give in to youtube/Netflix. It can be an aspect of confusion. If we are already dealing with mental health issues/neurological issues/breathing problems or love people who are, this will, most likely, have our ATTENTION THIS MONTH and into next year.

Mars/Neptune in mutable signs can dilute our attention from practical matters and make it harder to make sense of things. It can be self-deceptive which can easily float us right into self-sabotage, especially if we, or people we love - because remember this is the me vs we axis at this Full Moon -  are already struggling to care for ourselves in meaningful ways. Mars/Neptune can also fog up Martian things, so we don't notice that wolf at our door until he has his teeth in our leg ... something to keep in mind.

The Sun is conjunct asteroid Psyche. In mythology, Psyche, was part of a 'long and winding road' path of true love story with Aphrodite's son Eros (who is in Libra, too, now) and with Jupiter headed back into Pisces to join Juno it would seem this is all reinforcing the importance of our RELATIONSHIPS right not. The Full Moon though is in Aries and this is her lunation. The Sun in Libra wants everyone to play nice and the Moon in Aries wants to deal with this damn wound (Chiron)!

The T-Square to Black Moon Lilith in Cancer speaks of the ways our relationship challenges are connected to our childhood wound/mother wound. The ways we weren't seen or heard. The ways our needs were not accepted. There is a need at this Full Moon to see/confront emotional FEAR. At this Full Moon we will be able to see/feel what we do with this fear. Do we hide? Do we project it onto other people? Do we get sick? Do we entangle/manipulate? Do we take action? Do we get bloody freakin' angry? Can we allow our bodies to process/feel it without judging it? The square to BML might also indicate an uncomfortable female energy at odds with the Full Moon. She wants what she wants, and if this is us, we will need to be thinking about how we might be sabotaging ourselves here. Keep in mind the lunation ruler, Mars, is trining Saturn and the empty leg of this T-Square is Saturn ruled Cappy. What do we need to take responsibility for? And what is not our circus/not our monkeys?

(note with the Moon conjunct Chiron in Aries this is pretty much about OUR monkeys and we don't want to be burning bridges based on some victim story we are selling to ourselves that isn't the WHOLE story)

We can see this is a complicated Full Moon. We can also see Mercury - and Mars is answering to him/her - is approaching his FINAL opposition to Jupiter in just a couple days. The last chance to mine for that old gold (via Mercury/Jupiter). AND with Jupiter and Mercury both on a world point AND the axis of this Full Moon - Libra/Aries. We'll talk about this in the week ahead.

This is probably a time we will be thinking about who we are within our relationships and who we are without them. If we can see our part in any messes/tangles and take action, likely to be more independent or to encourage independence in others, we would be better off than if we are still doing the Mercury retrograde "re's" - time to move on/forward. Pluto direct/Moon with Chiron at a Full Moon that is not so warm and fuzzy anyway, can hurt, can end relationships and ways of relating, but the pain will be REAL. With Mars journey through Gemini just getting starting there are many choices/questions ahead of us over the next few months and it would be a good thing if right here/right now we can clearly SEE in the most practical way, the REAL of our relationships. Our patterns of relating and relationship imbalances will be ILLUMINATED allowing us to check-in with ourselves, potentially toss some toxic behaviors onto the pyre before this next chapter.

I hope something here is helpful. I have been blogging less as my faithful readers have probably noticed. I am converting 2 newish jewelry shops I have on Etsy to an escape room box shop (Unlockkit) and Coloring Gift Box Shop (name in process) and this, plus, a community school project (which ended right at this Full Moon thank goodness) has taken much of my time. I should be back here more often in a couple weeks! I miss blogging alot and making and taking pics of new work - especially after 15 years of jewelry only (I do still have my locket shop, of course) - has been freaking exhausting and uncertain. I am mostly more a 'stick with it'er' than a 'start from scratch'er', but circumstances are forcing my hand it seems ...

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of April 16th - HUGE WEEK, big news/events in the collective, the surprises they keep on coming, plot twists, are we busy living or busy dying, dad takes a powder, the wounded masculine needs a bandaid, we all need to hug a tree, identity crisis

Little Spring. by Lileinaya

The big aspects this week are:

SUNDAY - Mercury stations direct (4 degrees Aries),
New Moon (26 degrees Aries)
TUESDAY - Chiron enters Aries,
Jupiter opposes Venus and trines Pluto
Sun trines Galactic Center
Saturn stations retrograde (through September 6th) at 9 degrees Capricorn
WEDNESDAY - Sun conjuncts Uranus
THURSDAY - Sun enters Taurus
SUNDAY - Pluto stations retrograde (21 degrees Capricorn)

This is another HUGE week, even after the first New Moon of the astrological year and Mercury direct, which are big news all by themselves. Chiron exits Pisces and enters Aries for the first time since 1968 - crossing the world-hot-spot Aries point. Saturn stations retrograde mid-week for five months then Pluto stations retrograde next weekend for five and a half months.

On SUNDAY night we have the BIG Aries Full Moon kick off to our new lunar year. We have had a month of Capricorn holding back Aries and now Aries gives Capricorn the finger and HERE WE GO.

Are we busy living (Aries) or busy dying (Capricorn) - what's it gonna be, folks? Decide.

The only way an Aries New Moon could get any newer is to join Uranus ... and yup, it does.

See my post about this HERE.

Mercury stations direct. Answers come in. We get greater clarity around whatever is going on in our Aries houses. Things that have been stuck for the last three weeks will start to move forward now

(maybe especially, because Mercury rules our mental processes, whatever we have been going over and over in our heads).

Keep in mind that Mercury is still walking the degrees she/he has walked before (once forward and once backward) and won't be covering entirely new ground until early May.

So, we still have one final pass over this territory- older and wiser.

Also, keep in mind, it will be 10 days (April 25th's square between Mercury and Saturn) before Mercury is making contact with any planet other than the Moon, so although we will start to make progress now, some things might still be kind of left blowing in the wind. It always takes some time after Mercury is direct to fully figure out what the retrograde was intent on teaching us and get moving again.

On MONDAY the Moon is in stable Taurus and trining serious Saturn encouraging us to build on those New Moon intentions. Actions that link career/authority with money, our resources, values and self-esteem work together beneficially now. The Taurus Moon has us seeking comfort and security. Always good energy for a massage. Nature is especially grounding with the Moon in Taurus.

The Moon will support us over the next couple days with 3 trines to planets in Capricorn and a sextile to Neptune (this is why we will have happier planets next month when the inner planets start to move into Taurus) and an opposition to Jupiter. Nothing the Moon (our emotions) can't handle and mostly beneficial energies.

On TUESDAY, Chiron moves into Aries for the first time since 1968.

We are going to talk about this as we move through it and I will write a post. I am in no way a Chiron expert, we will make this journey together! This will be about the healing of our masculine energy. In Aries, Chiron turns away from the emotional, connecting reactions and the victim stories we grew through in Pisces (this is a long process he is going to be here for seven years and will pop back into Pisces during his retrograde) and toward our personal regeneration.

I think this will be more "oxygen mask on our own face first" energy (like the Leo North Node).

We have been shattered by 'virtual reality' as Uranus and Eris have rampaged through Aries and our first houses of ourselves these last few years and pushed us to the very limits of our physical bodies.

Are we still in our physical bodies? We are about to find out! Our nervous systems are fried, but we still can't stop clicking.

Chiron in Aries will ignite a process to heal this, as well as our masculine energy fractured through decades and lifetimes of war and competition and the loss of the mother. Chiron is the wound and the cure - it is through Chiron that we face a lost part of ourselves - our sense of 'other-ness'. His journey through Aries will bring him into contact with that other discordant outsider energy; Eris.

This seven year transit is going to be about finding our Aries courage and facing our personal vulnerabilities. It is going to force into our consciousness aspects of our life we have neglected.

Hello Catherine, meet Catherine! Yikes - does my hair really look like that from the back?!

Today, as he transits over the Aries point (and he will do this three times between now and March 2019) - the world axis point - our attention will turn to a world event that will catalyze something for us collectively. And this collective story will have a relationship to our personal story. One story, myriad ways of experiencing it. Or something like that.

Then Chiron will be back in Pisces, due to his upcoming retrograde, from late September until mid February (the time to wrap up our Chiron/Pisces storyline) - so whatever happens between now and September will be a good indication of the kind of things we will be working through when he settles into Aries for his long stay.

EXAMPLE FOR GEMINI/GEMINI Rising - Chiron is moving into your 11th house of the collective - your friendships, groups, causes, the internet, the public, the goals that bring you into relationship with other people, your advancement, technology. Challenges via your personal vulnerabilities could be subject to public exposure. You might be embarrassed. Your warts could be on display, but in the long run it will be those warts, or the process that exposes them, that is the part of your healing journey that heals other people. Or maybe you bring an inner battle into the public sphere. Maybe your Chiron "outsider" story is going to play out through your friendships/groups/causes or with a particular friend who acts as a catalyst. You could be a mentor/guide or meet one and probably both will happen at some time over this transit. Chiron is going to show you (over the next few years) how effective you truly are at shattering the obstacles that keep people separated. Your wounded warrior is waking up Gemini!

At the same time we have Jupiter (retrograde in Scorpio) opposing Venus (strong in Taurus) - stretching that Venusian financial/love situation and trining (brakes off) Pluto, strong and still in Capricorn (preparing for his retrograde this week).

This is that 'coming back to life' energy we talked about in the New Moon post. This is an expansion (Jupiter) of what we want (Venus) with a powerful green light from Pluto - who Jupiter is answering to! Impacted by the New Moon in Aries maybe this is us giving ourselves a second chance!

Keep in mind Jupiter is retrograde so - going deep instead of wide, expanding something that is already in play - with Pluto in Capricorn and answering to serious Saturn - going with whatever has the best chance of paying off in the long run, whatever offers the greater stability over time. Venus rules love, money, our resources, our values and self-esteem, women and beauty.

Maybe don't waste this energy pouring over pretty pictures on Pinterest all day! At least not all day!

EXAMPLE FOR PISCES/PISCES Rising - this transit is happening between your 3rd, 9th and 11th houses. You could receive good news now. Positive expressions could come through an idea, information, a conversation, learning, teaching, a sibling or within your local environment. This might impact your 9th house - travel, higher education, weddings, politics, legal issues, the media, publishing, foreigners, everything outside your comfort zone, exploration, your beliefs and higher thinking via your 11th house - your friendships, groups, causes, the internet, the public, the goals that bring you into relationship with other people, your advancement, technology. Just keep in mind that expansive Jupiter is retrograde - so this will be about going deep instead of wide, re-working something already in play. Note - keep in mind I can't see your personal chart, and your houses, even with a Pisces rising, could vary a bit and would vary the forecast. The good news/information you can use part is most likely on target.

Also on TUESDAY, Saturn stations retrograde at 9 degrees Capricorn.

Since Saturn is the development of self-discipline via challenges, struggle, hard work and restraints having him ease up on us a little is very likely a good thing. Do I hear a hallelujah?!

Some kind of limit - where is 9 degrees Capricorn in your natal chart? - is removed.

Astrologer Steven Forrest says (I'm trusting my memory with this, hopefully it's not too swiss-cheesy today) - Saturn in our natal chart is the area we must learn to walk our talk and walk it all by ourselves. It's the space where any lack of self discipline can quickly lead to our undoing. It's the space where we make peace with solitude and develop patience.

Saturn rules structure. During his retrograde we will be going back and retooling and shoring up the physical structures in our life (including our bodies). Saturn rules time. Time is on our side now. We just need to trust this (patience people!). Saturn's retrograde offers us the time to "re-make" the structure of something before it is too late. It's a time to reconsider rules and obligations.

In Capricorn, this is going to take us back over recently covered ground dealing with the theme of our Capricorn house and collectively our career, authority, our goals, our father, rules - you get the idea. This period could allow a re-view or re-working. For some it will be a time to slow down and get a better handle of what is and isn't working. Someone from our past, especially work-related, could re-appear. An old responsibility could be back on our plate.

Pay attention to any situations that shift gears NOW because this will be the ground we are re-working through September.

FOR AQUARIUS/AQUARIUS Rising - Saturn is retrograding in your 12th house of what is hidden, put away or done behind the scenes, secrets, the ethereal realms, imagination, hospitals, spirituality, addiction, healing. Something here is being re-visited, re-viewed or re-worked. Since the 12th house is one of the houses that rules our past you could be severing old ties or releasing certain responsibilities over the next few months. If you are trying to control the uncontrollable (an Aquarius dealing with control issues - that sounds about right!) - the 12th house ruled by Neptune is like trying to hold onto water - there could be some relief from that now as Saturn eases up. Your co-ruling planet, Uranus, is active this week, so it could take you a bit to figure out what Saturn's retrograde will be about for you if you get caught up in the other stuff. Note - keep in mind I can't see your personal chart, and your houses, even with a Aquarius rising, could vary a bit and would vary the forecast.

The Sun (at the very end of Aries) trines - brakes off - the Galactic Center. The Galactic Center is the black hole at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy; the solar system that houses all the planets including Earth.

This is most likely the place where time and space were created so you and I would have a place to learn and grow and work and play.

Saturn (security, stability, the patriarchy, the rules, duty, judgement, authority) spent quite a bit of time on or near the Galactic Center last year - getting a makeover or maybe I should say a make-under.

Interesting that on the day he stations retrograde, the Sun, in action-oriented Aries, will trine this space.

It's like the teacher steps out of the room and the kids take over! Of course, with Aries (Mars) the 'kids' could be playing with fire. Hopefully Saturn took the matches with him.

Tuesday is huge and of course, everything won't all play out on Tuesday and probably won't all be one thing.

On WEDNESDAY, after an early A.M. void, the Moon will enter Gemini at 8.02AM EDT. Life gets busier. We are more mentally active over the next couple days. This is the first Gemini Moon we have had with Mercury direct in weeks, so we will likely be catching up with missed information, communications, connections and appointments. This is good energy for sales, presentations, teaching, sibling interactions, short trips and errands.

The Sun conjuncts Uranus with Uranus still at his New Moon degree. This exactly squares the United States' Pluto (karma, transformation) and we have a President who is Uranus (via being born with this very aspect).

Something unexpected will "come to light now" - PLOT TWIST - as Uranus and the Sun kick off their final solar cycle in the warrior sign of Aries for our lifetime.

This ties into Sunday's New Moon energy and we can all expect the unexpected ... again.

With the Sun moving into Taurus afterward and Uranus set to move into Taurus next month (a space he hasn't occupied since 1942 and where he will stay until 2026 - Taurus, exalted in Scorpio is considered in "his fall" in stable Taurus) this could be a glimpse of something to come.

Anything "coming to light" might stress, likely through instability and potential instability, Taurean themes - security, contentment, money, our resources, the planet.

In our personal lives there could be another surprise, liberating break from restriction or disruption from the status quo. Uranus conjunctions usually bring EXCITEMENT!

There could be an abrupt ending/fresh start/disruption.

This aspect always makes me think of an unreliable dad (and Saturn is retrograde, too!).

This is good energy to do something new. Freak flags will fly. Uranus rules the 11th house and our minds can be open to new ideas and experiences now. Stay flexible and go with the flow.

Since Uranus rules accidents it would be a good idea to try to avoid unnecessary risks and impulsive behavior - especially anything brought on by us feeling restrained (for example a hasty move with our car when we don't want to wait) or feeling bossed around. People will not want to feel boxed in. Challenges to authority might not end the way we had hoped.

EXAMPLE FOR CANCER/Cancer Rising - the Sun and Uranus are meeting up in your 10th house of your career, your calling, your achievements, your achievement goals, dad, business, authority, responsibility. Whatever you had going on at the New Moon in any of these areas continues to offer surprises and innovating energy. There could be a change in your job or career or with someone in authority that gets you moving along a new path or doing something in a new way. This could impact your relationship to "the group" or with friendships or one friend in particular. Keep in mind Chiron is moving into your 10th house this week also as well as Mercury stationing direct here. Your career, goals, responsibilities should be a focus. With Aries in your 10th house you have always had to fight, and stand up for yourself, for what you want with your career/goals. What you have you have earned. The Sun then immediately moves into your 11th house of the collective - your friendships, groups, causes, the internet, the public, the goals that bring you into relationship with other people, your advancement, technology- the house Taurus will begin rocketing through next month encouraging some 'herd-separation' as you design a path uniquely your own over the next few years!

On THURSDAY, the Gemini Moon squares dreamy Neptune making it hard to tell fact from fiction now. We are doing lots of adjusting today so stay flexible. The Sun enters stabilizing Taurus maybe making it feel like one of those mornings after big news when things don't seem quite as bad (or quite as good) as they did the night before. Maybe.

Burning Taurus energy for fuel now our attention turns to Taurean themes - our comfort, security, money, resources, our income, our possessions, our values and self-esteem - all that 2nd house stuff. What house does Taurus rule in your natal chart? Events will conspire to shift your energy there. Any Taurus planets in your chart will meet up with the Sun over the next 30 days (Scorpio planets will be opposed by the Sun and Leo/Aquarius planets will square the Sun). In Taurus, the Sun is prudent and stubborn - and doesn't really want to fight anymore. The fire of "let's go for it" in Aries yields to a more earthy and resolute "let's take it one day at a time" kind of thing in more laid-back Taurus.

On FRIDAY, TGIF! The Moon moves into home and family oriented Cancer focusing us on family, real estate, renovation, security, safety, patriotism, mom, history. The Moon will sextile the Taurus Sun in the a.m. - good energy for opportunity within those Cancer or Taurus themes. The Moon squares Mercury in the evening - maybe not the best date night energy. Just stay home. Cancer/Taurus says take a long bath. Cook a nourishing meal. We could be challenged by a conversation, news or just Friday night traffic.

I am sorry I didn't get to the New Moon info by sign with that last post - UGH!

My body - neck, shoulder and elbow - is not cooperating with long stints at the computer right now and I thought it more important to get the weekly done for the week ahead.

If anyone has anything important going on or would just like a personal heads up please email me or leave a comment and I will check your rising sign/houses for the Moon.

Please take the time to do your New Moon intentions (or make a vision board) during the best hours in your area - Sunday night between 9:57PM EDT and 1:50AM EDT. If you miss this wait until after 7:51AM EDT on Monday - but try to shoot for the best time Sunday night.

This is a late degree New Moon and doesn't give us much time to take advantage of maximum potency!

Venus into Gemini | more options regarding love and money plus the transit's kick-off sextile to Chiron

Duel by Diana Cretu

I wrote quite a bit about this transit (thru May 19th) HERE see Tuesday.

Venus's month in Gemini will give us more options.

So you will want to keep yours open, if possible. If you are a flexible person this will feel good. If you feel more comfortable with solid situations, you are going to have to remind yourself that change is a good thing. Stay curious.

Maybe this will work/feel good. Maybe that will. Maybe a little of this and a little of that is needed.

Maybe you don't have to know what you want right now.

Try that one on for size.

If we must choose and the choice is important at least we finally have a planet in an air sign.

We should be able to get a little distance from the situation mentally and not make the choice based entirely on emotions.

Gemini is dualistic and not much help with deciding though. There will be alot for us to see and hear and learn - so unless we are being terrible lazy, we won't be choosing without quite a bit of information available to us, so there's that.

Now, immediately, because Gemini is sextile to Aries and Chiron is freshly minted into Aries and moving through 0 degrees, Venus will sextile (opportunity) Chiron.

Having the wounded healer energy (Chiron) in Aries for the next few years won't be about healing through talk therapy or hugging it out or crying about it.

Cardinal Aries just wants to get moving.

Some electric shock therapy might work, and with both Chiron and electrical Uranus in Aries for the next couple weeks - most of us have experienced some kind of shocking ending or beginning (or will over the next couple weeks).

It might seem that shell-shocked people would need cuddles and warm chicken soup, but probably

(and keep in mind I am an armchair astrologer and not a psychiatrist - my couch is occupied by a 25 pound brindle beagle/terrier named Olive, not some guy named Harry with a marriage problem paying me two hundred bucks an hour)

what shell-shocked people need most is TO KEEP MOVING.

And actually I once read the survivors of a horrendous African genocide who were given counseling afterward were three times more likely to commit suicide than those who weren't given counseling.

This makes sense to me and with Chiron in Aries now maybe this is something to keep in mind.

Remember how our high school heartaches were mended so much faster if we just KEPT GOING out with our girlfriends/boyfriends and didn't sit around wallowing. By the time we got to the wallowing part, we had enough distance from the situation (ie less of ourselves invested in it) that the pity party was over with a pint of Chunky Monkey - we didn't need the whole gallon and we were able to skip the John Cusack marathon entirely.

Hub's Moon is in Aries and too much (ie almost any) even well-intentioned comforting and care-taking leaves him feeling muzzled and restless. Back rubs work because Aries rules the first house of our physical bodies, but what he really wants is to KEEP MOVING and take some kind of  action.

Today's sextile (opportunity) between Venus, breezy in Gemini, and Chiron, already antsy in Aries - tells us the balm for whatever is hurting/needs healing will come through giving the situation a little more air, a lighter (Gemini) touch (Venus) and through our ability to KEEP MOVING. This could be good advice for the entire Venus in Gemini season, too.

deep iN THE ECLIPSE SPIN CYCLE now .... mercury stations retrograde - slow down, venus catches up with neptune and then moves into aries, the sun meets the north node shining a light on a new, more authentic path forward

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of July 2nd - a message is delivered, what words are we noticing, what needs to be said, where are we saying one thing and doing another, an argument, sib trouble, car trouble, things falling into place but what place and where's that HORSEFLY

words by andaria

This week is all about building toward our first eclipse of the summer season (and first eclipse in Cancer/Capricorn) which will be NEXT week when the Cancer Sun (home, family, real estate, home business, mother, mothering, security) opposes a Capricorn Moon/Pluto conjunction!

Let's take a breath first, see where we are and look at the week ahead:

Mars (what we do to get what we want, passion, impulse, action, anger) is moving backward through Aquarius toward the South Node (what is ripe for release) and toward an opposition with the North Node (our future).

Mars doesn't mind being in Aquarius. He is not exalted here, like he is in Capricorn (the sign where his backward movement will end up), but Aquarius is about advancement and the future, and ruled by Uranus - fast change - so Mars can usually make it work here.

Moving backward though is not so fun at high speed as he (as us) is finding out. Retrogrades always have us going back over something - in this case maybe something started around mid-May when he first entered Aquarius. So, we might be re-thinking something or re-doing it or delays and obstacles could have something stalled. Retrogrades are a GIFT or we would be falling off cliffs all the time.

Venus (in Leo for just a few more days) is still desirous of attention, still in love with love, still wanting what she wants, being ignored is hard to handle as are compromises. On July 10th, Venus will take up her position for the first half of this intense summer, with her move into Virgo.

This will put relationship issues as well as issues around what we want and what we already have under the microscope. Venus doesn't like being in Virgo. In Virgo, problems will stand out because the details of things move front and center, and remember Venus rules Libra and Taurus, where problems maybe get smoothed out, but just as often get pushed under the rug in favor of diplomacy and comfort.

Now, the problems will be visible. We won't be able to miss them. They might be all we can see. And since what we focus on grows, sometimes things get worse before they get better during this transit. But this is excellent energy to fix what needs fixing and accept (or eliminate) what just isn't fixable. This is all part of getting us clear on what we want and appreciative and aware of what we already have.

Mercury, freshly unpacked in Leo, and moving full steam ahead, is headed toward his North Node meetup TOMORROW (in play NOW). This is a message being delivered. This is a communication or information or a conversation or an idea that hooks us into our future. PAY ATTENTION. This might also be us delivering just the right information or saying just the right thing that will open a door (or window!).

So, connect with people - be verbal, be out and about! If nothing is happening - go online, visit a bookstore.

The outer planets are all retrograde, too, except Uranus. Plowing full steam ahead is unlikely now.

The Sun is in Cancer all week - we are burning Cancerian fuel and our Cancer houses are LIT - remember that first eclipse next week is in Cancer because the North Node - our future! - is moving into Cancer in the fall. We are focused on Cancerian matters - home, family, real estate, renovation, home business, mothers, mothering, our security, the theme of our natal Cancer houses.

The Moon this week will move from Pisces - dreaming, escaping, art, imagination - through Aries as we build toward the last quarter square Moon late in the week (triggering a crisis point, people with planets/points around 12-16 degrees of the cardinal signs will feel this one most strongly - Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) initiating, being passionate, fighting, taking action (and yes Aries ruler Mars in moving backward, so likely either actions we have previously taken or actions where we are going back over things) and finally by Friday morning EDT she will move into Taurus - where she is exalted - nature, comfort, pleasure, sustenance.

Some of the big aspects this week are:

TUESDAY - Mercury conjunct the North Node
THURSDAY - Chiron stations retrograde, Mercury opposes Mars, Grand Water Trine
SATURDAY - Mercury enters his retrograde shadow

We kick off MONDAY morning without much kick. The Moon is void until 1:31PM EDT when she moves into dreamy Pisces. The next couple days will be good for imaginative work, meditation, healing, escaping from reality, making art and music and endings.

On TUESDAY, Mercury (in fiery Leo) will conjunct the North Node. A message is delivered. This is a communication or information or conversation or idea that hooks us into our future. PAY ATTENTION. This might also be us delivering just the right information or saying just the right thing that will open a door (or window!). So, connect with people - be verbal, be out and about!

On WEDNESDAY - Happy 4th of July America! - the Moon is void all day until she moves into Aries at 12:50AM EDT (early Thursday morning). An excellent time to kick back and relax.

There is alot happening on THURSDAY, but of course, some of this will be playing out a couple days before or after - this is just the date the energy is exact!

Chiron (wounded healer) stations retrograde until December 9th. Yes, another retrograde energy!

He has been SLOWLY moving through Aries since mid-April when he left Pisces and now he stops (at 2 degrees Aries) and reverses course. Chiron in Pisces had been about feeling and then surrendering the wound. Chiron in Aries is requiring us to take action on the wound. Individual action. The kind of action that isn't always supported by other people.

If his retrograde motion means he is moving nearer to a planet or point in our chart whatever is hurting will intensify now - maybe we will be required to be brave, do something we don't want to do, stand up for ourselves, etc. For most people though, and especially those with planets or points that Chiron is backing off - this will be about us doing the re's here - reflecting, re-evaluating, revising - with whatever eases up a bit. With Chiron in Aries answering to Mars and Mars retrograde and moving toward the South Node, too, whatever has been zapping our ability to get what we want (do Mars!) is up for review/release - our motivation, passion, courage. See my April post about Chiron in Aries HERE

Also on THURSDAY we have Mercury (in loud and proud Leo) opposing Mars (in detached humanitarian Aquarius).

An argument now is probably covering old ground (or about what Mars retrograde is delaying) but it could also be constructive. We might be compelled to speak up/out this week. New ideas could oppose actions we have perfected through practice. This could also be about us (or them) saying one thing (Mercury) and doing another (Mars). We could have an argument with a sibling or a transportation/local community issue - all Mercury ruled. This is not the day to call your sister or operate heavy machinery. Or operate heavy machinery with your sister. Drive safely.

Also exact on THURSDAY but in play pretty much all week is a Grand Water Trine (our 3rd of three within the last few weeks!) - this time between the Sun in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. We had this energetic when Venus was in Cancer (June 1-2) and when Mercury was in Cancer (June 19th-20th).

Trines remove roadblocks. If the roadblock IS the problem, then great, things improve. Things slide into place. If the roadblock has been holding the problem at bay - things might appear to grow worse, but really it is a closed loop and we can only deal with what is already in here.

While we have the trine energy, working to remove the block - forgiveness, compassion, etc -  is very helpful. These are water signs so expect to be emotional about whatever is happening here.

The fly in the ointment here and he might have grown into one of those nasty, biting horseflies by this time, is that because this is our THIRD Grand Water Trine in just a few weeks - we might start feeling something abnormal is normal.

An unhealthy activity turns into a habit, we overdo, we overspend, we drift into something dangerous or destructive because the energy is starting to feel comfortable now. Miracles appear commonplace. We start believing the odds are 'ever in our favor'. We increase our bets.

It will be easy to make a very impractical decision that we will be living with long after the trine's 'easy-breezy' power-player energetic is gone.

Horseflies aren't easily shaken.

Avoid mind altering chemicals and known addictions.

Life's natural anesthetic is moving in reverse now - Neptune retrograde, so the lure of outside numbing agents - another day at the beach or shopping spree or pain pill will be stronger - keep this in mind. Yes, I know I am a negative thinker (and Pluto back and forth over my natal Mercury in Capricorn is like being besties with a Dementor).

I am sure other astrologers are reporting good things with this and they are totally correct.

Just be careful. This is excellent energy to feel good (and to feel like that big thing is possible and yes, the only way that big thing is possible is for us to feel it is!) - just keep it real - be cautious with big decisions this week that can't be unwound later when that trine is gone. Saturn in Capricorn is making everything sticky and that horsefly could be left biting our ass for years.

Back later in the week - xo all!

Chiron backs into Pisces, Sun squares Saturn | the healing power of our collective imagination, unbalanced and unfair, arguments, power struggles, limitations that require compromise and adjustment

diving for the ground by Dark Gomo

A retrograde Chiron (the wounded healer) returns to Pisces today, allowing us to clean up any unfinished business left behind from his 7 year cycle there (which ended in April).

If he is backing off planets or points in our chart (early Aries/early cardinal signs - although with the Full Moon energy here still uber active you may not feel it for a few days), this could be experienced as an easing up of a situation. If he is moving toward a planet or point (early Pisces/early mutable signs) an old situation, from Apirl/pre-April, could intensify.

Probably these past few months with Chiron in Aries (healing the wounded masculine) has taught us something about "putting the oxygen mask on our own face first", setting better boundaries, embracing the new, being brave, getting our own tired asses out of the well. HERE is a post about Chiron in Aries.

Something in our Aries house has been seeded. We will get back to it in February. And by then we will have Jupiter home in Sagittarius (keep your eye on November!) - we will be feeling much more optimistic!

For now, he moves back into Pisces until February to finish up.

In Pisces - we let go.

This can be a good thing. This could be a time of forgiveness (a big Pisces theme) - which we do for ourselves and not for them - we release that story's hold on us. Pisces kind of gone, is gone-gone. It's out to sea, lost in the vastness of the ocean's waters. Impossible to hold onto, slippery when wet.

Grief gets released as we are given one more chance to accept the loss/pain.

Letting go could also pull us back into a fantasy (maybe of being taken care of?), an addiction, an escape from reality. Chiron in Pisces can be an almost crippling sensitivity. His years in Pisces speak of a mass deception, collective confusion and disillusionment - a mass escape from reality.

So watch for the "dream" to pop back up. Remember we had that Virgo New Moon a couple weeks ago where we were literally pulling that Piscean dream into our Virgo reality or else we need to let that dream go, lest we be pulled under with it.

A good use of this time is to connect with ourselves (by starting a meditation practice or a mindfulness practice or both), offer other people compassion/connection - it is easier to feel other people's pain now. There is healing through art, imagination, music, water. We have the healing power of the collective imagination.

Keep in mind Chiron's healing power is in the acceptance of the wound - it's not some magic fairy dust that makes the problem itself disappear.

******

We wake on TUESDAY within the energy of the Aries Moon squaring Mercury (in Libra). Communications could be testy. Our words, and the words of other people, could come off harsher than we intended. We might have been feeling this last night, too. Arguments are possible.

Our minds are restless.

By 7:40PM EDT, the Libra Sun is squaring Saturn (in Capricorn). We talked about this in yesterday's Full Moon post because the energy is part of the Aries Full Moon story.

We are kind of being awakened to our personal challenges now. Limitations will require adjustments and compromise. A duty or responsibility can be demanding our complete attention or rigid compliance. We are dealing with issues of our reputation. This doesn't feel good. Libra wants things balanced and for justice to prevail and somehow it isn't.

Heads up that tomorrow is another all day Void Moon - 6:28AM EDT through midnight - so won't be a good day to start anything brand new - and goes void off a square to Pluto which speaks of power struggles and intense emotions (things can feel like life and death). But we could also have alot of stamina and energy on WEDNESDAY and get alot accomplished.

weekly astrology forecast | march 20th - 26th, 2023 - New Moon in Aries at the EQUINOX, Pluto into Aquarius, Mars finally leaves Gemini, Venus takes her power back, the future is here!

the astrology of Will, Jada, Chris and Oscar | the impulsive New Moon, the Sea Goddess out of water, the wounded masculine, more than sticks and stones can break our bones, a zeitgeist teachable moment

We might all be a bit tired of talking/thinking about this story, or maybe we didn't give it  a second thought in the first place, either way, the astrology is truly fascinating.

At the time of the 'slap heard round the world' - and remember this was all applying to the New Moon in Aries/New Lunar Year, so the energies will be in play for a good, long time - the astrology, as it is apt to do with zeitgeist moments/things that resonate with us collectively is incredibly RICH and revealing.

Let's take a look!

We will start with Will and Jada's natal charts and their transits last week.

Will Smith's birthchart has a packed 6th house, a powerful and not always predictable 'performing/royalty/talented' 5th house Jupiter/Pluto/Uranus/Sun. He has a natal 11th house Chiron at 0 degrees Aries opposing his Libra Sun

(so this charismatic, beautiful shine challenged by this very old, very deep wound around his masculinity and not fitting in within groups/not getting the rewards).

0 degrees Aries is an Aries point (zero degrees of a cardinal sign). A natal planet or angle on an Aries point indicates something significant to contribute to the world - because here is where the inner becomes outer - in terms of the planet and house at the Aries point. Will's Chiron (wound) and in Aries we are looking at the 'wounded masculine' here, opposes his Sun and plays out in an 11th house realm, the 11th house being about groups and goals and achievements that bring us into connection with other people, so this Academy Award ceremony with Will Smith at the top of his game fits in rather nicely - and this Aries point Chiron shows up as for all of us as a COLLECTIVE LESSON/GIFT in this pivotal year on this pivotal New Moon. With an Aries point - our collective attention goes HERE.

The New Moon in Aries was tight on his natal Eris/North Node  - the stuff that is hidden/not talked about in polite society somehow connecting Will to his destiny/fate (and ours!) - and remember our New Moon this week was conjunct both Chiron (wounded masculine) and Mercury (words, news, information, hands) and answering to Mars (impulsivity, anger, arguments, violence). This was all very tight on his North Node/Eris.

He has also had transiting Saturn squaring his natal Moon for a few weeks which doesn't feel good (this is also where Mars will meet Saturn because remember we talked about this New Moon's actions bringing reality checks/report cards).

Exact on his North Node on award night was dwarf planet Salacia (also conjunct our Aries New Moon and collectively bringing a salacious story to our collective attention, but here is where we don't get the total story like we would at the bright Full Moon, because this is a New Moon/dark moon, so things are hidden).

Salacia (Chris Rock's natal Salacia is at 22 degrees Cappy - the degree of the falling patriarchy/time runs out/power is cemented) was a Sea Goddess (wife of Neptune) who started life as a beautiful nymph known for her gorgeous seaweed braids. When Neptune pursued her, she ran away, overwhelmed by the fact he was a "God" and also wanting to maintain her virginity - keep in mind, virginity in mythology speaks of a female's freedom to not be owned by a man. Finally, Neptune convinces Salacia she could maintain her freedom within their marriage and they marry. Their most famous offspring was their son Triton - the first half man/half fish (merman).

And speaking of Sea Goddess, Jada Pinkett Smith has an uber interesting natal chart. She has a packed 10th house (career/voice in the world/public attention/reputation). She has an EXACT - and I am about to write EXACT over and over again - natal Chiron/Eris at 12 degrees Aries, so the New Moon in Aries was EXACT on her painful conjunction/fresh start this week. So, Will has the natal Eris/North Node and she has the natal Eris/Chiron and he has Chiron on that zeitgeist Aries point!

She also has an EXACT Juno/Mercury (Juno being about contracts and marriage and our power that comes through our relationships to powerful people and Mercury ruling her 7th house of partners and Will's chart) and an EXACT Jupiter/Neptune.

Yes, Jupiter/Neptune, THE big conjunction of 2022 is reactivating her natal Jupiter/Neptune. She doesn't have this conjunction in Pisces, of course, since she wasn't born in 1856 - although now that I am writing this, I am thinking there might be an 1856 connection to this story via their past lives or ancestors. Jada's Jupiter/Neptune is in Sagittarius so answering to Jupiter in her 12th house of THE PAST and what is done behind closed doors. AND her Jupiter/Neptune (ancient and modern rulers of Pisces, almost exact RIGHT NOW) is also tightly conjunct her Ascendant - likely enabling her to see/feel a higher purpose with events/people she interacts with. We might say, along with the Salacia connection, Jada IS kind of/sort of literally (does that all cancel itself out, I hope not) an embodied GODDESS OF THE SEA. No wonder she always looks so graceful/noble/royal, kind of float-y, am I right?!

Jada also has an EXACT Black Moon Lilith (the first "Eve" ejected from paradise for demanding equal status with Adam and then demonized. "Liliths" are often vilified as 'evil'/wrathful women who need to be exiled when what is really happening here is that the patriarchy has no intention of sharing power) conjunct her natal Uranus, double freedom-lovers/chaos in partnership focused Libra and her Libra Venus is conjunct Will Smith's Sun.

So, they are kind of reflecting all this back and forth with each other. She also has a very tight Mars/North Node conjunct Chris Rock's Sun. Her Sun is conjunct Pluto and Venus. Her Saturn on the descendant (partner) tightly conjunct Will Smith's ascendant, so they could almost switch places/energies at times. A very powerful chart. A very powerful/unusual partnership. I mean you can't make this stuff up.

The crazy thing is Jada has NO water in her chart and this is still true when we add in a bundle of dwarf planets/asteroids! This is VERY unusual, might feel like living in an emotional vacuum, make it hard to connect emotionally with people. Sometimes people without water turn to religion/spirituality for connection. This can also attract overly-emotional people to her, to mellow them out, and make her attracted to overly-emotional people, to kind of de-mellow her. She also has an enormous amount of mutable planets, so is likely very changeable/restless/maybe moody.

Her Moon is conjunct her Midheaven which will help a little with this no water thing, but a Goddess of the Sea with no water!

WTH!

Makes me think of Salacia without her gorgeous seaweed braids (and Pluto/death is conjunct Jada's natal Salacia right now, applying). Sounds painful.

We won't go into Chris Rock's chart, because this would just get too long, but he has MANY connections to their charts, the current transits and also, interestingly, to their marriage chart. When Will and Jada married there was a stellium/pile-up of planets in Aquarius on Jada's Mars/North Node, with transiting Saturn on Jada's natal Chiron/Eris (and remember her natal Saturn is conjunct her descendant/partner), with the North Node conjunct her natal Moon/Juno/Mercury and transiting Neptune on her natal Salacia and transiting Jupiter (remember Jada is a Jupiter/Neptune Sea Goddess) at 22 degrees Aquarius which is right where Saturn is now and where Mars will meet Saturn - when the accountability/results of what happened will show up (for all of us). Will's chart was equally activated when they married (Chris Rock's was also, and he has many connections to their charts, especially Jada's, including his Sun conjunct Jada's North Node of Fate - I think this would get too long if were to pull in his chart, too, but he is definitely connected here at least historically and more than just a trigger for this).

We also have Juno conjunct Saturn in Aquarius this week and Mars will meet Juno after he meets Saturn - unusual relationships/contracts, freedoms within relationships and the future of relationships (collectively speaking) is a big part of this story, too.

This is a dark Moon, so alot we don't know here.

I went looking for asteroid Narcissus because this whole thing had a narcisstic signature to me, maybe because of Will's speech and the times we live in, and the character he played in the movie and the whole triggering scene including the Oscar crowd's surreal standing ovation after his win. Transiting Jupiter was tightly conjunct Jada's natal Narcissus - and remember Jupiter rules her chart and is part of her Jupiter/Neptune, Sea Goddess energy. Transiting Narcissus was conjunct Chris Rock's natal descendant (other people, open enemies) and Chris Rock's natal Narcissus is conjunct Jada's natal descendant. Alot about her here. Transiting Narcissus was conjunct Will's natal Cupido - maybe, he wasn't so far out in left field when he spoke of 'love making him do crazy things'. Well, love touched by narcissism maybe. Was he defending Jada's honor or his own masculinity here? Probably both, but not that simple in any case. It would have been a whole different story if Jada had risen up and smacked Chris, wouldn't it? Or would it?

What would have been a whole other story was if Will had spoken out about his wife's Chiron (wound) and connected us to her vulnerability (see the rich/the 1% are just people, too, with their wounded spaces and broken-places, we are all going through hard things, so maybe even our jokes should be kinder right now) through the kind of loving language he used in his acceptance speech instead of lashing out with vulgar language that felt (to me at least) as violent/shocking as the slap itself. Although maybe the angry words said the same thing if we listen closely (see the rich/the 1% are just people, too, with their wounded spaces and broken-places).

And, keep in mind, whatever we 'think this is about' is something we should think about. And I mean more in terms of "why do I think it means this?" and not "what do I think is really happening?" because Will's Chiron on the Aries point makes this public story/zeitgeist moment somehow a very personal lesson/gift for all of us.

My hub's immediate reaction, and honestly I was surprised with his lack of pop-culture reference points he even knew who the main characters are (he wasn't familiar with Jada, I am not really either, but know who she is), was that Chris Rock caused this because his jokes can be mean and Will seems like a nice guy. Then I rolled the tape for him and he was like, "hmm, that was weird, I didn't think Will Smith could go off like that. Chris Rock really kept it together". Although a couple days later he was back to his, "Chris Rock is mean" thing.

My gut reaction was to feel the 'class' implications of the whole thing. Chris Rock was the hired help/doing a job he was paid to do and Will and Jada are Hollywood royalty. It made me think of the waitresses/service people wearing masks while the patrons didn't. The standing ovation for Will's win just a few minutes later made me feel a little/lot sick, like we'd collectively lost the thread of something ... that mattered. I felt more empathy for Jada and Will as the days moved on. Some friends immediate reaction was to feel for Jada, for Will, her wound/the 'hair thing'/the pain of a Black man defending a Black woman which has not always been historically possible. It's a VERY rich/very old story. So connected with our times. Such a teachable moment.

And the way it speaks to us, WHAT WE SEE, and the way we re-language it - says more about us than them.

That's how these zeitgeist moments work. THIS is where we are. THIS is who we are. Here's a window as the inside comes outside.

It also made my think about the future of marriage/this Aquarius style marriage of theirs (and the collective future of marriage which could look like something alot like theirs) and some of the potential pitfalls/cliffs like maybe the fine line between equality/freedom and becoming so unattached we are detached or maybe one partner is detached and the other has to kind of play the role of unattached/independent when they are actually very lonely/in need of attachment and then genuine emotions/spousal support/love comes out all wonky. Or maybe since Aqua is fixed air, and so logic driven, if the relationship dies emotionally it will be hard to even tell, and then we are wearing something dead and calling it a mink coat. I am not saying this relationship is dead, but Aquarius is such a sticky/fixed sign, things can drag on too long with stuck emotions that will sometimes come out in unexpected/chaotic ways.

(here's another MIND BLOWER - Chris Rock produced a documentary about Black hair (!) called Good Hair released 10/9/2009, he even interviewed a woman with alopecia. When the movie came out Uranus/Juno/Salacia were EXACTLY where Neptune and Jupiter are RIGHT NOW - Jada the Goddess of the Sea! - and the Sun, then, right where Narcissus is now and transiting Narcissus, then, EXACT on Jada's ascendant and conjunct her Jupiter/Neptune and Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune THEN piled up in Aquarius just as Mars/Venus/Juno/Saturn were at the New Moon.)

I admit I watched as little as possible of the whole thing. Enough to see Will's quick/easy laugh at Chris's joke, maybe before he caught the implications, Jada's eye roll. Enough to hear a bit about her alopecia, their marriage, her affair, their joint feeling of being previously dissed by both the Academy and Chris. The charts showing a very old story and a rather perfect astrological storm.

With Mars ruling the New Moon and headed to Saturn, there will be consequences.

Keep in mind where we are tonight - one day after the New Moon in Aries made her first aspect which was her connection to wounded-healer Chiron - allowing the wound to humble us is what allows us to step onto this new path, our personal fresh start in Aries. The story of Jada and Will and Chris and Oscar is a perfectly, imperfect narrative that brings this New Moon to life. A gift to all of us and to them.

And, once again, in these rocking and rolling 2020's the narcissistic wound, which we all carry, some of us more visibly than others right now, is where the light gets in ....
