the astrology of covid and the vaccinations | part III SEDNA - a crisis that forces us onto a higher/more spiritual path, the narcissistic wound is where the light gets in

Part I is HERE

Part II is HERE

In mid-January 2020 (the Saturn/Pluto conjunction - the breakdown/cementing of limits and authority, the end of the death postponed, our time runs out), as China calls the WHO to report the first case of the new corona-virus outside of China, just a couple days after they call the WHO to report their own country's first death, a retrograde dwarf planet named Sedna backs into 26 degrees Taurus.

The home of fixed star Algol - considered to be the most malevolent star in our system - and the United State's natal chart's buried landmine - the USA natal Pandora/Wuhan conjunction (this is also closely conjunct Trump's midheaven).

We talked about that conjunction HERE.

Sedna is a dwarf planet, although not officially classified as such, about the same size as Ceres, so larger than Pluto. She was discovered in 2003. She is named for the Inuit's Goddess of the Sea. She is one of the TNOs (trans Neptunian objects); a group of celestial bodies with crazy elongated orbits thought to be influenced by Neptune's gravitational pull. Keep in mind Neptune's mythological position as God of the Sea.

A year earlier, back on February 7, 2019, Sedna stationed direct on this same degree.

At that time - the first pass of her journey here and strong and still at station - she was sextiling the North Node of Fate (in Cancer), trining the South Node of Fate (in Capricorn), applying to a square to Mercury (exact the next day) and conjuncting Juno. These are some MEGA-aspects, all impacting that ripe 26 degrees Taurus; that buried Pandora/Wuhan conjunction and Sedna.

But most likely no one was noticing.

I didn't know very much about Sedna until I prepared to write this post. I had written about her once or twice last year as she intersected with New/Full Moons, mostly connecting to her mythological Goddess origins/victim story which I got from a Google search and I missed alot/even got some things wrong.

We have already connected asteroid Narcissus (and narcissism) to the pandemic astrology - what can Sedna show us?

Let's try her story again and follow it a little more closely knowing we skip parts of a myth at our own peril because we can get the whole meaning wrong!

Sedna was a beautiful Inuit girl who lived with her father. She had refused all the village men's proposals - none were good enough for her. Her father begged her to consider someone, saying, "if you don't marry, we will all starve". Sedna just continued to look at her beautiful reflection in the water and brush her hair, ignoring her father's pleas. It is implied Sedna admires herself too much (was too narcissistic) to marry a mere mortal/flawed man.

Her mother is never mentioned in this story - which isn't surprising since mother-loss is very prominent in narcissistic wounding and we literally live in a galaxy whose origin story is about a cheating husband, an angry wife and a hungry baby (Hercules). The baby, birthed by another woman and held to angry wife's (sleeping wife at the time) breast by cheating husband and the lost mother's milk that flies out of her when she awakens to find another woman's baby at her breast. This spilled milk - which we've never been allowed to cry over -  creates our galaxy; the Milky Way Galaxy of un-mothered children (the dishonor to the feminine becoming baby's dishonor).

So, a stranger comes to the village, dressed in fine furs and appears to be quite wealthy. His face remains hidden. His words are few. Sedna's father tells the stranger he has a beautiful daughter and offers Sedna to the stranger as his wife. The stranger accepts and kicking and screaming, Sedna is tossed into the stranger's kayak and rowed away.

(in another telling, Sedna is bedazzled by the stranger's wealth and goes off without looking too closely at what she is getting into - this telling actually lines up a little better with the connections I had noticed in those Moon charts, so we will keep this in mind)

When they get to the stranger's island, he tosses off his fine furs and reveals himself to be a raven. He flies Sedna up to some kind of bird's nest on the top of a mountain peak. Now what could this be about because not a word in a myth is wasted? Sedna marries a bird and birds could represent ideas/thinking since they fly high and fast. Her world is empty, windy, cold. She is high in the sky and can see many miles into the distance. The myth tells us her mind becomes far-reaching. She lives in her head. Her life has lost its grounding. She is isolated. This makes me think of what is happening in our world with technology. We are far-seeing, but have become unbalanced.

At this point in the story we might stop and question why has this happened to Sedna?

Maybe the narcissistic wounding (her weak sense of self creating a kind of ungrounded grandiosity) is a natural consequence of her father's excessive attention to her outside (and inattention to her inside/real self) - the un-mothered child learning to live "in her head" instead of her heart.

Of course, she is miserable on her island and calls out to her father for help. Her cries are carried to her father by the howling winds, and eventually he climbs, guiltily, into his own kayak to rescue her. Sedna sees him coming from her mountain perch and rushes to the shoreline to meet him. She climbs quickly into his kayak. After several hours of exhaustive rowing, a black bird can be seen in the distance behind them, and Sedna's heart fills with dread. The raven/husband catches up with them and flies angrily around the boat creating gusts of strong wind and a raging storm and causing the boat to nearly capsize. Sedna's scared father tosses her into the sea (abandons her to save himself? or forces her to care for herself rather than calling to him for help? likely both will apply). He yells to the bird "here, take your wife and let me live!"

Sedna, fighting for her life in the frigid water, grabs hold of the sides of the kayak with all her strength. Her father smashes the oar down again and again on her frozen fingers which eventually break off into the sea - forming dolphins and whales and sea creatures. Eventually Sedna herself sinks to the bottom and becomes the Goddess of the Sea.

Inuit fishermen still make offerings to Sedna before taking their boats out and after a good catch. They believe she creates storms when angered and smooth seas when cared for. Since she has lost her fingers, she cannot brush her beautiful hair which has become a tangled mess, although she is often portrayed something like a mermaid.

To this day, according to Inuit legend, she is quite often, pretty freakin' pissed off. More deep and angry archetypal feminine energy being reclaimed - that feels familiar. So, we keep in mind the larger picture of what 'letting go'/sacrificing (and she had no choice by this point and so a kind of victim role is shown, but she also kind of got herself into this situation in a way) has given her - the powers of a Goddess, but also not forget what it is she has lost (her mortal life/her father/her idea of her father).

OK, I can hear your brain whirring around, "What does this have to do with covid? What does this have to do with the vaccines?".

Stay with me. You won't need a sports car to keep up.

I am old and tired now and a skateboard will probably do it.

Astrologers believe celestial bodies are discovered as their energies have ripened enough for us to work with them (and it certainly seems life gets more and more complicated as more and more asteroids, dwarf planets, etc are found and synchronistically named). When a new body is discovered it takes time to figure out what it represents. Astrologers have three tools available to figure this out. We can use the mythology. We can use the charts of historical figures to see how the placement energies fit/work. We can use the new body's discovery chart as a sort of a birth chart.

Astrologer, Alan Clay, who wrote the book Sedna Consciousness has studied dozens of the natal charts of historical figures/famous people/events to help determine what Sedna is all about. The following is some of his ideas from his research and then we'll talk about what this might mean with our current circumstances.

He sees Sedna's placement/activation as speaking of a crisis (quite often a health crisis) that forces us onto a higher/more spiritual path. Sedna activations tend to act on us in a way that is victimizing - the actual situation will depend on the houses in our chart involved.

If we are living life at one level, something happens to us, we adjust our course, we move on. Maybe we don't even realize we have shifted onto a higher road. If we are living life at another level and we have tired of this reality's density/grief, this crisis pushes us toward a higher spiritual path. Sedna hits us with crises that force us to let go (think of her fingers gripping that kayak) and rise above them. The crisis is out of our hands anyway and the more we try to fix/solve the problem, the more pain/hurt we experience until

finally we just let go - probably drop our attachment to whatever other outcome we are wanting that we can't have.

Think of Sedna holding on for dear life and then finally letting go - only to birth all the creatures in the sea/become a Goddess.

This author has also identified three events from Sedna's discovery chart in 2003 that he feels might connect to her energetic signature and since they all make me think of our subject matter here, let's look at them. The following is mostly directly from his book:

1.  The 2003, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded for groundbreaking research on how cells communicate and cooperate to form a living eco-system. The prize citation explaining the discovery states - through pioneering discoveries concerning the water and ion channels of cells this year's Nobel Laureates have contributed to fundamental chemical knowledge on how cells function. All living matter is made up of cells. A single human being has as many stars in a galaxy, about 100 thousand  million. The various cells (kidney cells, nerve cells, etc) act together in an intricate system in each one of us. The award winners have opened our eyes to a fantastic family of molecular machines - channels, gates and valves - all of which are needed for cells to function. For thousands of millions of cells to function as something other than one large lump, coordination is required. Communications between the cells is necessary ... (this continues, but you get the idea).

(if we think about a planet with 8 billion different people - we can see how if we are to survive here we can be expected to make concessions for other people/to operate cooperatively in order to survive. A pandemic could certainly make this happen, especially one where we are making sacrifices and doing what we are doing - for other people. Who, keep in mind, aren't really other people because we are all connected.)

2. In 2003, Fujitsu Laboratories developed the first learning system for humanoid robots that utilizes a dynamically reconfigurable neural network. In english, the company's new mathematical model of the human nervous system was a breakthrough that allowed robots to learn movement and motor coordination in a fraction of the time it had been taking to generate movement. These neural networks and deep learning have gone on to become key to this evolving new life form called AI (artificial intelligence).

(this paved the way for Google, Facebook, etc, tech to learn from us, to figure out innoculous things about us like what time we eat breakfast and what movies we like and really important things like what we need to read to cement/shift our beliefs)

3. In 2003, new evidence cemented the radical idea that the universe is made up mostly - and by mostly we mean about 95% - by a mysterious dark matter and being stretched apart by an unknown force called dark energy. The Wilkinson Microwave Anistrophy Probe took the most detailed picture ever taken of the cosmic microwave background - the light emitted by the universe during the first instant of its existence. By analyzing the patterns in this light, the researchers concluded the universe is made up of only 4% regular matter. 23% is dark matter and the remaining 73% is dark energy. In the same year the Sloan Digital Sky Survey telescope, an effort to map out a million galaxies also made a major contribution to our understanding of how galaxies are spread out through space, as the researchers determined if the galaxies are being pulled apart by dark energy (yes) or pushed together by gravity (no). The director of NASA confirmed these studies were a milestone in how we view the universe - a turning point for cosmology. Their conclusions, through separate means and unconnected research, confirmed that this dominating dark energy/matter that makes up 95% of our galaxy affects universal expansion, but other than that they have no idea what it actually is/does.

Cue Darth Vader.

This book was written in 2015, so although to me, this is all connecting to Sedna's place with the virus story-line and these first public vaccination charts, the author wasn't cherry picking his results to fit what is going on now.

The AI (artificial intelligence) part of this, as every aspect of this pandemic seems to be turning us toward more tech/more science -  feels like something we really need to be cautious with. I am not usually a believer in slippery slopes, since we often worry about things that never happen, but showing up in multiple places here this is an actual slippery slope. And I am talking "off the side of a cliff" kind of slippery not just on our ass via a banana peel.

Sedna's narcissism connection reinforces the Narcissus myth connection. We probably all suffer from some degree of narcissistic injury. Narcissism can also be constructive in the sense that it can show us our own value, even if it is through an imagined kind of specialness. Why should Sedna have married any old bloke that came along anyway?

Sedna, the dwarf planet, has a very slow orbit, so all of us were born with Sedna in either Aries or Taurus.

In 2024, the same year Pluto moves into Aquarius with no more retrogrades back into Capricorn (some astrologers are connecting the Pluto transit with the 'official' start of the Age of Aquarius, I certainly think we will be deeply into it by that time), Sedna will move into Gemini with no more retrogrades back into Taurus. By this point the collective could be pretty much split in two, but we will have to see ... and, no, I don't really know what this means either.

The USA had transiting Sedna conjunct that Wuhan/Pandora landmine at the time of that first innoculation, but 1 degree past exact, so waning/releasing and she won't be back there.  Transiting Neptune was conjunct the USA natal Sedna. In the UK, transiting Neptune was EXACTLY conjunct their natal Sedna at 18 degrees Pisces and transiting Sedna was EXACTLY conjunct the descendant of that first chart. So exactly opposing the ascendant. The vac charts are certainly well-timed/synchronistic.

This entire pandemic feels quite Sednian (yes, I think I just made that word up). Health crisis/victimization - bumping us onto a higher path (is this higher spiritual or higher tech? can they work together? I am not sure). The failing patriarchy/what used to hold us up no longer holding us up - think of Sedna tossed overboard by her father. Sink or swim. But instead she holds on. Until her father quite literally - cuts her loose. And it would be quite one thing if the story ended there, and I am glad for all our sakes it does not.

I can't speak of how this will all turn out because there isn't a way this will all turn out. We are working this out as we go.

It is no coincidence we have had President Trump (here in the United States, but in some ways the entire world has had him, too) at the helm of the ship for this thing. His narcissistic wounding is front and center and impossible to miss. When narcissism is severely injured the potential for destruction is very great.

The dormant/fated narcissism storyline may have been kicked off back in 2008 when the United States elected President Obama - his natal Narcissus is exactly conjunct the United States natal Pluto (whose return to his 1776 position is in process now). President-elect Biden's progressed Narcissus is also exactly conjunct the United States natal Pluto (!) and Biden's natal Sedna conjunct the United States natal Chiron (where Mars was exactly transiting in that USA vac chart!).

Trump doesn't realize he is a narcissist. His wounding is very old and very deep and his natal Sun/North Node (10th house) conjunct the U.S. Mars (7th house) connects him - and this is karmic folks - to all kinds of U.S. toxic masculinity issues including this idea that needs to be put to bed of American exceptionalism, and anger with "the other" - within our relationships and what we are projecting onto other people.

Trump and covid is all part of the same awakening.

I think the charts show us pretty clearly - the narcissistic wound is where the light gets in .....

Today's Astrology Forecast | Saturday, January 9th, 2021 - limited information, focusing our attention, words are powerful, what we do can get us what we want, balance

The Moon is in hopeful/optimistic/bombastic Jupiter now. We are nurtured by adventure, stretching a limit, stepping outside our comfort zone, taking something to the next level, foreign people and situations, our faith. She is all opportunistic sextiles - with Mercury at 9:14AM EST, Saturn at 10:38AM EST and Jupiter at 2:17PM EST. Some great Saturday aspects.

This is also the day Mercury meets Saturn (2 degrees Aquarius) and Venus (in Cappy) trines Mars (in Taurus) at 1 degree.

Mercury/Saturn might be limits on what we can say or the information we can receive. Mercury meeting Saturn in the sign of technology (Aquarius) - sounds just like Twitter banning Trump and Google Play ditching Parler. This can also be a verbal commitment - etched in stone by serious Saturn in fixed Aqua. Or our feet held to the fire via an old commitment. Maybe it's time to limit our tech time which is so addicting/unproductive/manipulative. Words are powerful and sober. Think twice and speak once. Watch what you say on social media because you will be held responsible for it/limited by it in some way.

Saturn will focus our attention (Mercury), so notice what you are watching (absorbing), reading, thinking and saying. It matters.

Today's best aspect is the Venus/Mars trine.

Capricorn/Taurus. Solid earth. Excellent building energy. Here is where opposing energies - the yin and the yang can balance each other out/work together. What we do (ie the action we take) gets us what we want. With Mars in Taurus answering to Venus this is even more powerful. Money/resources/relationship moves now can be solid/sustaining. A couple caveats might be - we need to be thinking long term because these aren't fast moving energies, we need to be practical and we need to take other people into consideration. This ain't no independent Mars in Aries, no more. Just sayin'. :)

The astrology of the covid vaccinations | part II - the USA shots begin as Mars meets the USA natal Chiron on an eclipse!

Part l is HERE

So, now let's take a look at the USA's charts. We will look at the chart for the first USA vac and then see how it connects with the USA natal.

The USA public vaccinations begin as transiting Mars hits the USA natal Chiron, transiting Chiron squares the U.S. natal Jupiter (U.S. chart ruler) on a Solar Eclipse! Whah!

Let's unpack the charts!

The top chart is for the first USA vaccination - at 9:05AM in Brooklyn, New York - this was the date of the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius (a new quest) - I wrote about it HERE. We can see the chart has a Capricorn rising which makes Saturn, at 29 degrees Capricorn, the chart ruler for the vaccination event itself. Now, Saturn rules Capricorn which is a good thing although the 29th degree itself is considered an anaretic degree - accidentally weak/exhausted at the end of a sign - it often speaks of a desperate situation/a 'Hail Mary' play.

Moving right into the second chart - the first chart is pretty much all there in the Eclipse post - mostly a good Eclipse forecast (but Eclipses are tricky times to predict) with the exception of that dissolving/sometimes disappointing square to Neptune from the Eclipse Moon and Sun. Not a small thing in the vac chart since we are talking about a virus (Neptunian condition).

The first thing we see in that second chart - now here we are comparing the USA birth chart to the chart when that first vaccination is happening -  is we have Mars  EXACTLY conjunct the USA natal Chiron (wounded healer).

The transiting North Node is conjunct the USA natal Mars - the future/fate. Mars on the U.S. natal Chiron speaks of action toward healing very deep/old woundings - remember the "event" that stoked this whole fire (the mid-January meeting of Saturn and Pluto at 22 degrees Cappy) happened on the U.S. natal asteroid Narcissus which is squaring the Mars/Chiron.

Healings related to our collective narcissism, through Trump/through covid. As well as the learning, which may come now and over time, that there will be some things we are probably going to need to just learn to live with. 20 degrees Aries is also the degree of Biden's natal Sedna - she is going to play a BIG role in part III of this series as we decipher this stuff without all the astro talk. So, we have Mars meeting the USA's Chiron and Biden's Sedna at the time of the Eclipse/vaccination kick off. Biden's chart is about to be impacting the U.S. chart the way Trump's has been for the past four years, so this is important.

Transiting Sedna is conjunct the USA natal Wuhan/Pandora conjunction on fixed star Algol (known as the most malevolent star). She is trining those Cappy planets - Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn and squaring the USA Moon (the people, not all of whom trust/want the vaccine).

Transiting asteroids Pandora and Wuhan (two significators or tested stand-ins for the virus/pandemic) straddle the USA mid-heaven with transiting Narcissus opposing transiting Chiron. So, all the players are interacting, which is probably a good thing, but the interactions are complicated.

Transiting Venus - ruler of the USA's natal 6th house of health - is in the 12th house sextiling the USA natal Pluto, so there is alot we can't see here/can't measure/can't know. But we can see that chart ruler Saturn's very next aspect is an opportunistic sextile to Venus - this is good news since he rules the chart and she rules the USA natal 6th house (health). It does indicate this is going to take some time, but also that the opportunity to Venus - that 6th house- comes through Saturn, still in Cappy at this point, but at that anaretic degree (although a sign he rules), so we might say exhausted and tossing a 'Hail Mary' play. We could look at this as a weak government (that anaretic Saturn) imposing its authority on the people's daily lives/health (that 6th house), too. Nothing is set into stone and both the USA and UK vac programs started during a volatile Eclipse season, so this is all very karmic (meaning the result of a cause already set into motion) and unpredictable.

Both charts - and this is still in play now - have that dissipating square to Neptune.

Which also makes it hard and we might say not possible to know for certain what results to expect. And both the UK and the USA have major challenges to their natal charts in the months and years ahead.

Keep in mind that every history book we have ever read was lived by people who DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. They had to just give things their best shot (no pun intended). And that, that 'living on'/doing the best they could do without knowing the outcome, is what PRODUCED the right outcome. Knowing the outcome ahead of time would have just screwed it all up.

We don't have a crystal ball, but astrology can be put to good use. The North Node - our guiding star - is in Gemini. The questions are more important than the answers. And sometimes with the North Node in Gemini our biggest screw-ups come because we ask the wrong questions.

I have become more and more interested in the asteroids/dwarf planets in the last couple years.

It is believed in astrological study, celestial bodies are discovered when we are ready to work with/know their energies and then synchronistically named. I have come to see them/their stories (told through their myths, by researching their placement in historical charts and by what is going on in the collective at the time they are discovered) as fragments of culture, held within our DNA - maybe a physical representation of that so-called junk DNA - so above, so below - or that 95% of the universe that is dark matter.

It is mega-important to note Chiron is active and activated in both charts - the wounded healer whose orbit takes him between Saturn and Uranus (Chiron in our natal chart shows the wounds that have a history longer than our lifetime). Saturn and Uranus are the co-rulers - Saturn/ancient, Uranus/modern, of the sign of Aquarius, whose age we are in/moving into.

Keep in mind, and this is VERY IMPORTANT that 2021 is going to be DEFINED by Saturn and Uranus's three-peating squares to each other AND Saturns three-peating sextiles to Chiron. This is not a coincidence.

Chiron travels - and his orbit is quite wonky - to the outer planet of Uranus (think - our higher hive mind, the memory of the ancestral traumas we carry that our lower mind has forgotten, outsider/alien territory/futuristic, non-dualistic energies) and then comes back into the fold and literally penetrates Saturn's orbit - which is our REALITY.

You can read the story of Chiron HERE

Astrologers have come to associate Chiron with very old woundings (multi-generational) that cannot be healed - we work with what is given to us/make the best of it that we can. A great example is a recovered/recovering alcoholic who becomes a counselor for other recovering alcoholics. Or maybe a better example is a closet drinker who effectively counsels recovering alcoholics - the healer who can heal others, but not herself. At our best we interrupt the wounding/let the light in. At our worst we continue/worsen the cycle. It's not so much about healing the wound as in learning to live with it in the highest possible way. And hopefully stop the continuation of the wounding into the next generation. On the one hand, when we are born we are literally created through our past lives into someone who lines up with this problem and on the other hand (and this is probably all the same hand) we are handed this problem ancestrally with our job being to 'figure this sh*t out'.

Chiron's own wound was healed through compassion/sacrifice when he gave up his own life to save Prometheus. Chiron was a great healer though, long before his own un-healable injury and considered the father of the Greek's medical art. I have seen his transits bring healing. And, of course, his story - the un-healable part - involved being pierced/shot with an arrow that has been laced with poison. And since we are talking about vaccinations, we will keep this in mind, too.

The USA natal Chiron is at 20 degrees Aries.

If we see this as our nation's wounding - natally, so likely of the unhealable variety - what does that tell us about the nature of the wound? Signs are divided into decans and 20 degrees Aries is the very end of Aries decan two. According to astrologer Marina at Dark Star Astrology (you can read the post HERE) "this decan is where Aries gets regal, for here we have the King, Princess, Dragon, etc. These people follow no leaders and work best as their own boss or taking command over others." Astrologer Austin Coppock calls Aries decan 2, "the Crown", and says, "applied magically, this decan has tremendous power. It is the power to generate the world of your choosing and to be its sovereign. It is the key to creating realities that do not obey the laws of the collective reality field in which they exist.” Interesting his use of the word "crown" since corona also means crown and "key" since Chiron is known as the key (and its symbol looks like a key), but of course we are always seeing what we are looking for :)

What also caught my eye with these charts was dwarf planet Sedna and I think here is the real story of what is happening.

We will talk about her in part III.

Less astro babble in this last one and we'll look at what this could all mean and some thoughts on where this might go ...

Today's astrology Forecast | Friday, January 8, 2021 - passion that embraces rules and structure, an ongoing argument, a need for rest

The Moon continues her journey through sister-sign Scorpio. She sextiles the Sun at 11:10AM EST, trines Neptune at 11:13AM EST and goes void tonight, at 8:58PM EST off a sextile (opportunity) with Pluto.

Her sextile with the Sun, this month's Waning Sextile is Scorpio/Capricorn at 18 degrees. Sextiles are little portals of opportunity, like most opportunities, take a little efforting on our part. If we have anything near 18 degrees of these two signs, the energies are more fertile. This is passion/intensity that embraces structure/authority/the rules. The structure is strengthened. The passion given a solid form.

She immediately trines Neptune - our intuition/dreams. This feels like all one thing with the Waning Sextile. Good for meditation, prayer, compassion - intense and realistic action toward our dreams. The ideal being made real.

(for some people, this trine will be about conspiracies/delusions - not all conspiracies are delusions, but Neptune trines are sure times for creative/imaginative/idealistic people to get sucked in - so much of this current conspiracy energy is trauma projected outward .. as we move through the next couple years, hopefully learning it is safe not to split and dissociate, we won't need so many of these to make sense of things - this 'not splitting' is going to be the harder/higher ground though).

That final sextile tonight with Pluto - who rules the Moon while she is in Scorpio - speaks of power/transformation. Merging/purging. Financial deals. We are comforted by murder podcasts. Getting to the bottom of something. Make up sex.

We have both Mercury and Venus changing signs today.

We talked about that HERE - see January 8th. The conversation changes/shifts. What we love/value changes. Our finances change. With 3 inner planets at the 0 degrees of different signs this week - something is STARTING.

The New Moon next week will really energize this.

When Mercury gets into intellectual Aquarius he/she will almost immediately square Mars at 1 degrees Taurus. Tension/frustration. How to start/what to build. This is fixed energy, so everyone is dug in/doesn't want to budge. Mercury is in the sign of the future/change that is often erratic and Mars in the sign of maintaining. So this could be an argument about finances/values. Conversations/words/ideas/information around change might feel like a threat to our security. Working our way through life's squares (and there are a gazillion of them this January) makes us stronger, but avoiding unnecessary arguments can be a good idea, too.

Because of Mercury's upcoming retrograde - whatever this tension/frustration/argument is, it probably won't be a one-off though, so not so easily avoided.

We'll be back here on February 10th.

That trine to Neptune can be draining. Use that void Moon tonight to rest/recharge. Our immune systems need extra sleep now. The Moon's move into optimistic Sagittarius tomorrow should feel even better.

Back to wrap up the vac.

(late yesterday afternoon as Uranus - think Trump here, with Uranus on his Sun/North Node and Mars on his ascendant, life has perfectly pre-fit him for these roles - was opposed by the Scorpio Moon, the astrology of what we spoke of yesterday  - "this can also be secret/back door maneuverings to avoid damage to what we own/value" - Trump, convinced by those closest to him of a need to act to save his presidency/legacy gave a speech condemning the people who stormed the capitol. So instead of greater liberation or chaos (Uranus), that powerful Moon in Scorpio had her way. Politics aside (no mention of how these people were 'wound up'), this is a chance to see that opposition to Uranian energies - because they are changeable in the first place - are not like oppositions to more stable energies, even when housed in fixed signs. With Uranus in Taurus - we can use what we value/already have/want to maintain to help stabilize things should we need to, also keeping in mind this stuff can be used to keep us 'in line'. Maybe no big eye-opener there, sounds like common sense since we are talking about Taurus, but good to keep in mind as we work through the Uranus squares in 2021.)

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, January 7, 2020 - wth just happened part two, surviving the next 24 hours, getting to the bottom of things

The intense Scorpio Moon took over while we slept. Can things get any deeper/darker/"my dick is bigger than your dick" than yesterday ....

The Scorpio Moon will oppose Mars at 4:14AM EST, square Saturn at 7:54AM EST, square Jupiter at 11:15AM EST, oppose a retrograde Uranus (Trump!) at 3:15PM EST and finally Black Moon Lilith.

First that opposition to Mars - and the Moon in Scorpio is answering to Mars - anger/aggression/obsession/deep resentments. Defensiveness. Unresolved issues projected outside of us. The pot is boiling. The pot is boiling over. These are fixed signs. Dug in.

Then the squares - tension/frustration - to Saturn (authority/limits/rules/restriction/depression) and Jupiter (expansion, taking something too far, BUT also truth, honor, justice). The Moon in Scorpio wants to go deep/get to the bottom of things/figure out what happened, with that square to Saturn- heads can roll.

This can also be secret/back door maneuverings to avoid damage to what we own/value.

This ends with an already intense and challenged Moon opposing "anything-can-happen" Uranus. He is still retrograde, so this won't be a totally new thing, but this can be like a sudden liberation/ending. Snap goes the camel's back. Pop goes the weasel. What just happened? Did we just burn the bridge/our fingers/the house down? The future is fast approaching, The future is HERE.

At the same time Mercury is again parallel Pluto - words are powerful. Secrets can come out. Words can hurt/maim. Our truth is weighty. This is powerful backdoor conversations/deals. We'll poke our eye out, or someone else's. Thinking/feeling something like, "I could never kill anyone. Oh no. I may have to kill someone." Not literally of course. But something could feel very life and death. It most likely won't be.

We lived through 2020, so please let's survive this freaking week/first two months of 2021.

Now Friday and Saturday the Moon is all smooth sextiles and trines. This should feel better.

Let's just weather the next 24 hours and then we all get a gold star and a cookie. Stay safe. No dark alleys please.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, january 6, 2021 - a battle for balance/fairness/justice, taking action that gives some kind of safety and stability back to us in return

The Moon is in Libra now - we are nurtured through our relationships, through balance, through beauty. She squares the Sun at 16 degrees Capricorn at 4:37AM EST which will color the day until her square to Pluto (uncomfortable power plays) at 6:23PM EST.

The square to the Sun is the Moon's monthly Last Quarter Square. This month - Libra/Capricorn.

Balance/fairness vs one-sided power/authority. Cooperation vs 'my way or the highway'. Beauty vs starkness. Also pushing our problems into a closet/pouring pink paint over them vs getting real and dealing with them. This Moon is the waning of the promise of that Sag Full Moon Eclipse as we move toward next week's powerful New Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto - at 23 degrees, so past that devastated 22 degrees of last year. It's a whole new world by next week.

For today, we are adjusting. Who has the power now and how is this shifting/needing to shift?

It is not often (or maybe ever) from evil intent that power gets cemented - that power/hierarchies/families hold their shapes for too long for their own good. Really how long can anything maintain its structure/theme/pattern and survive without dying out or falling apart or rotting away? There comes a point where our struggle to maintain is the very thing that hastens the demise of something. The necessity for cleansing/change is preceded by an over-concentration of energy in one area and then we (individually and collectively) become kind of possessed of that energy for awhile. Kind of the way a child is born into a family playing a certain role to release the clan from their overabundance of whatever it is that has grown old and moldy. Interesting to see what happens in U.S. politics today - shifts that bring more fairness/justice/civility - maybe?

And from the monthly -

"Mars has FINALLY finished up our 6 month journey through his home sign of Aries and moves into Taurus today. He loves Aries/is strong in Aries, his home sign, but he (as we) might be a little burnt out from all the passion/fire. We are probably ready to get down to solid work/hands in the dirt/plant the seeds.

Mars wants to build something now, so let's give him (as us) something to build. New ways to make money, improve our resources, take physical action with things we can see/taste/touch. We want to take action that gives some kind of security/safety back to us in return.

Keep in mind Taurus is the space in our natal chart that naturally encloses what we are here to nurture, preserve and grow. It may be a space we have a bit less passion and ambition because we most naturally feel the need to sustain what takes root here. A bird in the hand thing usually applies to the theme of whatever space Taurus occupies in our natal chart. The energy is cautious because the thing we are holding/carrying here is precious. It can also become the fear-based space where good things go to die - and then we carry around a bunch of dead stuff like a crate of rotted vegetables and wonder why we are so tired all the time (and smell like moldy cabbage).

Mars is forced to slow down when he gets into Taurus. This is fixed earth.

That stop and smell the roses thing applies here and it will this time, too, but after all these months in Aries and with Mars on a collision course with anything-can-happen Uranus in just a few days - we are just as likely to feel an increased build up to THAT.

A kind of - change is coming. Here it comes. OMG. Electricity in the air.

xo all - lost my internet yesterday, so will try to finish up that vac series tonight, very interesting connections between the UK and USA (not unexpected) and crazy connections with dwarf planet Sedna

The astrology of the covid vaccinations in the UK and the United States | part 1 - the UK goes first, a Grand Mutable cross

Let's take a look at the charts for the UK and USA's first covid vaccinations and see what they can tell us.

Since the UK went first - during Eclipse season, those crazy Brits, although their chart is established on a Full Moon, so there's that  - let's look at the UK chart first. I have used the 1801 chart that my old astrology teacher Liz Greene works with. The first UK vaccine was given to 90 year-old grandmother, Margaret Keenan, at her local hospital in central England on December 8th, 2020, so we are looking at both the chart for this date/time and how that chart interacts with the UK's natal chart.

Let's unpack the charts!

The chart for the time of Margaret's actual shot in the arm - ouch!- is the top chart. HERE is my post for that day, keeping in mind Margaret is five hours ahead of me. It was a very positive forecast. I have added the asteroids to this chart that have worked in previous charts as significators for covid - Pandora, Wuhan and Hygiea as well as my significator for the reason/trigger for the pandemic ie Narcissus and dwarf planet/planet Sedna (we'll talk why in detail later as we unpack the UK and USA charts).

At the time the needle is going into Margaret's arm - and it appears she woke up pretty early for this honor - we have Scorpio on the ascendant. This seems rather appropriate. Is there another sign that makes us think of waking up on a dank late autumn morning and sticking a needle in our arm better than Scorpio, I don't think so. The chart is at 27 degrees, which makes it very late, almost too late to judge. I wish we had previous charts for the trials, etc, but we don't.

When we compare to the UK natal, though, we will see the chart looks very workable/reliable.

So we have Scorpio rising - answering to Mars and Pluto. Mars is in his home sign of Aries - direct and strong (and keep in mind this is his third pass through here, so not his first rodeo with this, and we know there have been trials, people who have come before Margaret, so this make sense) - in the 4th house of home/family/country/patriotism. Mars is trining (brakes off) that hopeful Sagittarius Sun - applying now and this trine will actually be his NEXT aspect. Mars is also trining the South Node as well as widely trining Mercury. Pluto is in that 2nd house of our resources/values/self-esteem at 23 degrees (the degree of next week's New Moon and a hot degree this winter) squaring Mars and exactly squaring Eris in Aries. Pluto is also trining the Moon (at the top of the charte and straddling the MC with asteroid Pandora) and trining Venus (in the 12th). The Midheaven of the chart is at 22 Virgo - Virgo is about service and humility, and on the 22nd degree which is a master number, but 22 also sometimes speaks of self-sabotage. We have the Sun sextiling (opportunity) asteroid Hygiea (another significator for the virus). Dwarf planet Sedna is exact on the descendant - we will get back to this! Scorpio's ancient and modern rulers squaring each other - is reminding me of 2021's journey through Aquarius and the upcoming Saturn and Uranus squares. The young Gods vs the old Gods - are we trying to cheat death? or just trying to not die?

This chart's most powerful aspect is its Grand Mutable Cross - very powerful - between the Moon, Neptune and the Nodes of Fate. A Grand Cross is formed when four (or more) planets or points form two sets of oppositions/four squares. Traditionally Grand Crosses are challenging configurations (our cross to bear sort of thing). It also gives great strength and endurance as we work with it. Here we have a planet/point in each of the four mutable signs and this speaks of the ongoing/flexible nature of this event chart.

This won't be a one-shot deal, but we know this already.

Let's unpack the cross. We'll start with our first mutable sign Gemini - here as the North Node (our North Star/future). Gemini is an air sign, ruled by Mercury and all about the processing of information. Gemini is the space where we TAKE IN the information. We evaluate facts and figures. We stay flexible with our thinking because there is always something new to see/think about/learn. There is an innate restlessness to Gemini. So, the North Node is in the 7th house of partnerships and Mercury (ruler of Gemini) is in that first house conjunct that hopeful Sag Sun. This speaks of this event involving partnerships/agreements and that first house physicality and expansive hopefulness.

The second mutable sign is Virgo - here represented by the practical Moon, who is making good aspects to that Cappy pile-up and again answering to Mercury. In the mutable definition Virgo is about self improvement, purification, the need to serve the greater good. The need to adjust via perfection/imperfection. So we have Gemini - the North Node - collecting the information and Virgo - the Moon - organizing it.

The third mutable sign is Sagittarius - here represented by the South Node/Sun conjunction. With Sag, we move from our right brain Gemini - to our left brain. This is more unconscious/our belief system. Why we do what we do. How we interpret the info Gemini has collected and Virgo has organized. We lean into our intuition here, into our instinctive knowledge of right and wrong. Natural law. Now we have to keep in mind, because by now we have a square to Virgo (tension, frustration, any sense of inferiority/imperfection, our health/purity, is this going to work?) and an opposition to Gemini (do we have the facts/right information) - the cross, by its very nature - made up of squares - is CHALLENGING. This third point of the Cross is in the first house of the chart/Margaret (what she represents here and the people who will follow her) and that vaccine in her arm.

The fourth mutable sign is Pisces - here represented by Neptune, strong as sh*t in his home sign since 2008 and upending our sense of what is real. Now, we are outside the confines of space and time. Neptune is the ethereal realms. Ultimate meaning. Also because we are outside reality - illusions, delusions, fantasies and ... God. Also things that connect us in ways we cannot see - things like viruses. This is in the third house of the vaccination chart. This is also the polarity point for the Nodes in this chart - in evolutionary astrology what is known as "a skipped step" is this us needing a better understanding of the virus? playing God - have we, the collective, been here before? - the resolution point would be the South Node.

Adjusting our beliefs. More wisdom needed.

I realize this is alot of astro jumble, but

when we connect this chart to the UK natal chart is when things really get interesting!

So, let's unpack that second chart.

Same cast of characters. Remember the natal chart for the UK works the same way our own natal charts do. The UK literally, in some sense, which I guess means not really literally, but you get the idea - the UK is #literally, #notliterally, January 1, 1801 at 12:01AM. As the world moves on the very next second and forever, planets will interact with this chart, so what we are looking at next is the way the chart for that first vaccination interacts with the UK origination chart. I haven't worked with this chart before, but we will see some interesting details right away.

As Margaret was getting that first shot in the arm, transiting Chiron (wounded healer) is exactly conjunct the UK natal asteroid Wuhan (a tested significator for the virus) from the 6th house of health and trining the UK natal Chiron! Crazy what these asteroids and dwarf planets bring to flesh out a chart. This speaks of what is happening very clearly.

Transiting Narcissus is exactly conjunct the UK natal Pandora/Uranus conjunction - at 1 degree Libra conjunct the U.S. midheaven and the UK ascendant - this is happening in the UK's 12th house. Yes, the UK has an exact natal Pandora/Uranus conjunction! Pandemic (also the first woman) and 'the future'/trauma/change/technology wedded and embedded deep in its DNA.

The Moon is conjunct the UK natal Narcissus. The Sun is conjunct the UK natal Mercury - applying, but on the South Node. Transiting Mars is conjunct the North Node (action supportive of the future - this is waning). Transiting Venus is conjunct the UK natal Neptune - Venus rules the natal chart and Neptune the 6th house of health - this is good. Transiting Neptune is exactly conjunct the UK natal Sedna. Transiting Hygiea opposes the UK exact natal Venus/Hygiea conjunction.

Now, I realize that is alot more astro-babble, although the celestial suspense is building, I hope.

We'll take a look at the chart for the first US jab in part II and then we'll look at Sedna and some conclusions in part III that won't take an astrology primer to decipher, I promise. Gives me something to ponder this week other than this messy studio after the holiday rush.

Today's Astrology Forecast and a peek at the week ahead | Monday, January 4, 2021 - speaking our truth even if our voice shakes, destructive/transformative information, changes right out of the gate

We talked about most of this in the January monthly HERE. And we'll iron out the week with a couple dailies as we factor in the Moons.

This is a pivotal week. Anytime we have all three inner planets - Mercury, Venus and Mars - changing signs in the SAME WEEK (I can't remember the last time this has happened), we know CHANGE is going to be hitting our personal lives in some noticeable ways.

By February, we are going to have a MAJOR Aquarius stellium the likes of which we haven't seen since February 1962, but we are still in Capricorn territory today.

The Moon is in organized and grounded Virgo. She opposed Neptune while we slept (EST) and goes on to trine Mercury and Pluto (both in Capricorn) - good for grounded communications and practical power moves - in the mid-afternoon and finally go void at 4:33PM EST off a square to Venus (at the end of Sag). She will be void for the rest for the day, so chill.

This is the day Mercury meets Pluto at 23 degrees Capricorn (the degree of next week's New Moon, but we knew this already) .

Truth/secrets/financial/sexual/life and death - information/news comes out. Words are very powerful. Information can ruin/kill/transform. This might speak of communications with powerful people or conversations/ideas where our own powerful underpinnings are awakened. All possibly combinations of words and power/transformation are on the table now.

On FRIDAY, Mercury (communication, conversations) is going to move into Aquarius and quickly square Mars who has just  moved into Taurus. Mercury/Mars squares are arguments/tense communications and these are fixed signs, so no one is budging -

maybe this is within a group situation or maybe over finances, resources, our self-esteem. Aqua can help us keep a cool (and slightly detached) head. And now that I was written "detached head" this doesn't sound like a good thing after all!

The next day, SATURDAY, Mercury meets Saturn - new rules/limits are communicated. What can be said/what is off the table now. Social commitments/maybe internet projects get firmed up. This might be some kind of wrap-up to Friday's disagreements - conjunctions with Saturn can bring results/endings.

At the END OF THE WEEK, Venus is going to replace Mercury in Capricorn as she exits Sagittarius (crossing over the Galactic Center - our seat of creation homing signal, and getting NEW instructions, in the process). Back in November 2019, she crossed the Galactic Center with Jupiter. I always imagined her whispering in his ear, "be careful in Capricorn Jupe, Saturn and Pluto are determined to destroy whatever is necessary to cement Saturn's power - can you bring some hope? can you do your expanding routine without making things worse?". This year, it is Venus alone getting the new intel as she crosses the Galactic Center and moves into the more sober/serious pastures of Capricorn. Keep in mind, Uranus, and Mars by this time, are in Taurus and answering to Venus. So, Venus in Cappy, as well as the Sun in Cappy this week, will hold us still firmly in that grounded/but kind of backward-feeling energy. Trust this. This is perfectly timed to move us toward the New Moon next week in Capricorn - when we start again from a higher level (23 degrees Capricorn). More about Venus in Cappy in the monthly HERE - see January 8th.

Mars has been in Aries for six months and on TUESDAY finally leaves his home sign and moves into stable Taurus (where, yes, he will start answering to Venus, who will actually be very helpful trining from the  master-builder sign of Capricorn). Mars is forced to slow down. Consolidate. Build something one brick at a time. In Taurus he is going to square the Aqua planets and bang smack into Uranus, so our Taurus house is going to be bringing the fire/chaos this month, knowing the theme of your natal Taurus house will be helpful. Keep this in mind.

In terms of your personal natal chart - what are we talking about?

For all of us our Cappy house loses Mercury (so maybe some of the busyness) and gains beneficial Venus. Venus attracts. We will take her anywhere we can get her! Our natal Venus - and the houses she rules - Taurus and Libra  - become more serious/grounded. Our natal Aquarius house- already starting to get heated up, although we might not be feeling it yet because we don't have a personal planet there - well, now we will have a personal planet there (!) and Mercury will just start speeding things up. Our vision/thinking turns to the future. Our natal Taurus house - rocking and rolling for years with Uranus - will welcome (and not with open arms I suspect) fiery/passionate/active and sometimes angry Mars. And with Venus, Taurus's ruling planet changing signs at the same time, we will certainly feel this one! Our natal Aries house for the first time without Mars in 6 months - will start to ease-up. When we take rulerships into consideration our - Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio (thru Mars co-rulership), Capricorn and Aquarius houses are shifting - all in one week, so 2021 is wasting no time.

I am going to keep this short since we have the monthly covering most of this. Going to pop up the vaccine charts (first doses UK and USA, which are very interesting) and then the Narcissism and then finish up January. This month is going to be cray-cray by the middle, so use this first week or so to get yourself organized and prepared.

We are living in a new world with new possibilities/writing a new story - it almost makes no sense for me to write these forecasting posts anymore because it feels like I am just pigeon-holing us with my words. I have to think about this.

Neptune is squaring the Nodes - the past is being erased, the future is a collection of possibilities, too dynamic for us to remain stagnant, but too amorphous to hold onto just yet or maybe we have to come to understand the concept of un-solid things still being things. To holding on without holding on. Change is coming. Change is here.

Today's astrology Forecast | Sunday, January 3, 2021 - small fixes, the healing of relationship wounds, good surprises, the beauty of practicality/stability is illuminated

Lots of trines today, so the brakes are off.

Something, maybe even multiple somethings, are falling smoothly into place here.

The Moon moved into organized and health conscious Virgo last night. We are nurtured through our schedule/routine, our daily practices, work, service. She trines a retrograde Uranus at 8:11AM EST and then the Sun at 8:44PM EST.

The trine to Uranus integrates the new/the future/the unexpected - do something different! expect a good surprise! Taurus rules your resources, your self esteem, your bank account - ka-ching!

The trine to the Sun is this month's Waning Trine - Virgo to Cappy at 13 degrees. This is a smooth flow between the small details/fixes and our goals/ambitions/authority. Something is wrapping up here - falling into place. Venus is parallel the Sun - the beauty of practicality/stability is illuminated now.

At the same time we have Chiron (in Aries) trining Juno at 5 degrees Sagittarius.

These two squared each other last summer and we were dealing with painful relationship imbalances and projections. The trine now suggests we can move into a healing through sharing our woundings/vulnerabilities. Partnerships/agreements are strengthened and hopeful. We are in this together.

Although I can't see your personal chart - this look like a pretty SMOOTH day folks. Enjoy it.

the astrology of january 2021 | part 1 - accepting the invitation, january and february set up the year - january expands/explodes, february retracts/reality checks, saying yes to an uncertain future

We are in a kind of birth canal toward the Age of Aquarius and there is no going back (mommy!?)  - by the time Pluto enters Aquarius in 2024, it is certain we will be living in a whole new world.

To some extent we are still determining what that world is going to look like/how this is all going to work, in other ways we are married to the future already. We've already put a ring on some of this. I hope we were smarter than we look.

Now Uranus (ruler of Aquarius, co-ruler really) is very unpredictable and MAJORLY activated in January - interacting with all the personal planets plus Jupiter (and then Saturn starting in February and really for the rest of the year). Collectively this is massive changes with our values and personal resources - with the way we see ourselves and everything else.

The first week of the year, the players start to get into their positions for the new game/level and then the first two months of 2021 really sets the stage for the year. BIG changes. We allow ourselves to be moved by the NEW in January, knowing that in February we will come back down to earth. Yes, there are great opportunities here (and challenges), some may even be MASSIVE, but we will need a little time to see everything clearly/unpack this.

We move from those Cappy squares to Aquarius squares. Primarily this month the Aqua squares are to Mars and Uranus in Taurus.  This is our friendships, our groups/causes, the goals that bring us into connection with other people, the future, tech, science, our mentors vs our values, our money, our resources, our physicality. This is your Aquarius natal house theme vs your Taurus natal house theme.

Some people, yes you, I'm talking to you, are going to have something insanely AMAZING - like dreams come true amazing - birthed through this year's process. If those old story-lines that have been put to bed were holding you up, they aren't holding you up anymore, and this meaning works two ways - "holding you up" as in literally supporting you AND holding you up as in holding you back.

January and February are very exciting/volatile. January is explosive/expansive energy. Ideas/events are popping. Some things will pan out/pay off and some will not. We need to be careful because we know next month the reality check is coming, so don't bet the farm. We are still dealing with the old 2020 energies, but the new energies very quickly take over. February is more retractive/here are those reality checks. Saturn will square Uranus and Mercury will station retrograde in Aquarius in February. Both kind of holding up the new.

It's almost like the new/the shock in January is SO BIG we need a little time, we need it to retract a little in February and let us catch up with it.

Let's take a brief - is this brief?!, why am I still typing?! - look at the month ahead. I am going to be changing things up around here - less daily content that is stale at midnight and more big-picture/evergreen posts, and, so hopefully, more useful, content.

Keep in mind I am writing about aspects when they perfect/are most exact - we can find events playing out as they are applying or even unwinding sometimes, so the exact dates matter less than the energies. I have not included the Moon except in a couple instances - and the Moon is very important, but it's just not possible to factor her in here or my head might actually explode.

We'll still do some dailies to keep up with Luna!

JANUARY 4TH - Mercury conjuncts Pluto (24 degrees Cappy).

Mercury has been out of bounds since December 12th, so not operating by the usual rules. He/she comes back in bounds today, just hours before meeting with powerful Pluto. The last time Mercury met Pluto was last January when "time ran out". HERE is a post about that - see January 12th. The difference this year, and it is a VERY big difference, is Saturn is no longer in Cappy and not part of this year's meet-up and neither is the South Node and Ceres.

Mercury in Cappy - picture the serious reporter with the pencil behind his ear and his fingertips on the typewriter getting the important story out because he is doing his job - meets up with Pluto today giving Pluto (transformation/life and death) a voice. Honest communications. We get to the bottom of things. Conversations go deep - and maybe dark. Information is dug up. It may not all be things we want to know. Although on some level we are seeking any painful revelations. Discussions can be intimate. Good for research. Secrets are unearthed. Words (Mercury) are powerful (Pluto). Power struggles, communications with powerful people or where our own powerful underpinnings are awakened are possible. Shadow issues and what we do in the dark (sex, death, taxes, reproduction) are talked about. It's good energy to verbalize what we are carrying inside. It's probably important to note, Mercury is back in bounds here, so playing by the rules.

JANUARY 6TH - Third Quarter Moon - Libra/Capricorn (16 degrees), Mars enters Taurus (!)

The Moon at 16 degrees Libra squares the Sun at 16 degrees Capricorn giving us this month's Last Quarter Square. Squares are tension/frustration - this one carrying forth our Full Moon story (from December 29th - time to go). This speaks of issues/situations involving relationships and fairness. The Sun in Cappy is old rules, limits, traditions, authority. The Moon in Libra is always seeking balance, beauty, relationship, peace. Out of balance relationship situations (personal, work) come to light.  What needs to change here, so we can move on or continue? The Third Quarter Square Moon is a time of release/letting go, the Moon is losing light/letting go of the old New Moon story (23 Sag), as we begin to move into preparation for the next New Moon (23 degrees Cappy on 1/13).

Mars has FINALLY finished up our 6 month journey through his home sign of Aries and moves into Taurus today.

Normally Mars is forced to slow down when he gets into Taurus. A stop and smell the roses thing applies here, but after all these months in Aries and with Mars on a collision course with anything-can-happen Uranus in just a few days - we are just as likely to feel an increased build up to THAT. A kind of - change is coming. Here it comes. OMG. Electricity in the air.

JANUARY 8TH - Sun sextile Neptune (18 degrees), Mercury moves into Aquarius and squares Mars in Taurus, Venus enters Capricorn

The Sun in Cappy sextile Neptune in Pisces is as close as we are going to get to those Saturn/Neptune opportunities in 2019 - we did or didn't take advantage of. This is about making the dream REAL. Hard work makes the dream work - something like that. This can also be a reality check on our 'escape' machinations, but sextiles create opportunities, so this is mostly a good thing. At the same time Mercury leaves Capricorn for the lighter space of Aquarius. Mercury is much happier here answering to Uranus - the higher mind/hive-mind.

Mercury (our thinking, information, communication) FINALLY gets into an air sign today with his/her move into detached and future-focused Aquarius. Yes, it's fixed air, so people are not always flexible, but at least we've got some air! Aquarian detachment can be our friend. We step back. We view our situation from an observer position. Does what we are saying/signing/thinking/writing MAKE intellectual SENSE?!

Some people think Aquarius represents independence (that's Aries), but more accurately Aquarius represents individuality. Think about it. There is an independent spirit here, yes, but since Aquarius rules the 11th house of groups, it shows people bound together by a cause. So, in Aquarius we find a better way to work together so it benefits everyone or else we go our own way. These are the only two outcomes for Aquarius. Aquarius is the space in your chart where it's never going to work to follow the crowd just for the sake of fitting in, you will always have to do things differently. Our rough, uncomfortable rebel edges are there for a reason.

So, three things happen when Mercury changes signs.

Mercury changes (the conversation changes, our thinking changes, we are more innovative, we can detach emotionally from our thoughts, there is more air in this room so maybe we can breathe easier). The house Mercury exits changes (Cappy house slows/relaxes a tiny bit). The house Mercury enters changes (Aquarius house - gets busy busier).

Almost immediately Mercury moves into a square with Mars freshly minted in stubborn Taurus. More of that electricity stuff we were talking about. Fixed air vs fixed earth. Something needs to give and nothing will. Our actions with our resources, our values, our money are clashing with new ideas/conversations/information. This might also speak of sibling, local community, transportation or tech issues. Mercury wants the new and not to think about what needs to be maintained. Liberating words are clashing with our security-driven actions. Mars says "we still need to make money, we still need to eat." Maybe we are challenged to walk our talk as what we are saying is not lining up with what we are doing.

Mercury in Aquarius is bright/new ideas/new conversations, agreements or paperwork (this might also be something that involves a group/cause/Aquarius theme) and Mars in Taurus wants a physical result. A return on our investment. We want, whatever this is now, we want it in our hands.

Venus (love, money, women, values, self-esteem, beauty) moves into Capricorn today.  Capricorn is the sign of structure and discipline. In Capricorn season (winter) these are the qualities that kept our ancestors alive. When Venus visits this space of the heavens these are the qualities that help us attract what we want and need.

Capricorn Suns and Risings get more attractive now (more able to attract what they want and easier on the eye). Our Capricorn houses (natal) become more attractive, too. Enjoy this energy dear Cappys - you have most decidedly earned it. Invest in yourself now!

Remember last summer when everyone was mashing it up in Cappy, Venus was going back and forth through Gemini - the delays enabling her to be HERE NOW just when we need her. So, she is going to cross over all the HOT Cappy degrees during this crazy month.

This is the time to get serious with Venus ruled themes.

Venus in Capricorn is an excellent time for organizing our finances so we can attract more money that sticks. Instead of here comes the money then here comes the bill, or vice versa. And this isn't about hoarding, but a few benjamins in the bank is what allows Venus in Cappy to sleep at night.

Venus in Capricorn allows us to recognize we attract what we earn

(ie if we've attracted it, we HAVE earned it),

so we get to KEEP it.

We really only have to earn everything by the sweat of our brow if we believe we do, although with Venus in Capricorn there might be sweat!

Tradition will become a focus - the way something has always been done. This doesn't mean we will continue doing things the way we've always done them, there is a hell of alot of energy in future-focused Aquarius, but these older things and ways will come to our attention now. We get more serious about love, too. If something isn't going anywhere, this can be the transit we cut it loose. Our focus returns to what is real. We attract stability and longer lasting success/love/money by finishing what we start and honoring our commitments. Venus will be in Capricorn until February 1st.

JANUARY 9TH - Venus (1 degree Capricorn) trines Mars at 1 degree Taurus, Sun inconjunct North Node, Mercury conjunct Saturn - this is a BIG day (although as always the energies can play out as they apply and as the release, not always at the exact time).

So, almost immediately as Venus and Mars both get grounded in earth signs - they trine each other. Smooth flow. Cappy/Taurus. Practical. What we want and what we have to do to get what we want working together ie our actions get us what we want. Nothing needs to be forced here. This is powerful personal energy between our Cappy and Taurus houses.

Now this isn't happening in a vacuum because we also have the Sun inconjunct the North Node (rock and a hard place) and Mercury meeting Saturn, so let's unpack that.

Mercury meeting Saturn can bring sobering news/reality checks. We ignore this at our own risk because next month we begin the year-long Saturn/Uranus squares.

Pay attention. MAYBE THIS IS WHERE THE BRIGHT IDEA COMES IN. Mercury squared Saturn back in early November - Libra/Cappy. Back then through tension/frustration we turned a corner (relationship imbalances, something wasn't fair, we were tested). Now they meet - results given - in Aquarius we can step-back and detach a bit from things. Maybe see the reasons things have played out as they have, maybe not. Either way a new Mercury/Saturn cycle kicks off - this time in Aquarius, a sign Mercury loves and Saturn co-rules. This is good. New ideas/conversations that have legs/can be made real. Pinocchio can become a real boy. We just need to watch out for the Aqua traps of over-thinking or getting too detached. Also note Mercury is approaching her/his square to Uranus, so back up your files.

The Sun (at 19 Cappy, so approaching those UBER hot degrees, although maybe less hot than they once were) inconjuncts the North Node in Gemini. The Cappy/Gemini rock and a hard place. We've talked about this when Mercury hit this degree. The Sun in Capricorn is serious. His/her mind is on work. And Gemini needs variety/breathing room/doesn't like the boss breathing down her neck. That Gemini North Node is requiring us to do a little of this and a little of that and to take breaks as needed. If our Cappy ego can bend to accommodate this we can work with this energy/get it done. Otherwise, Gemini cannot meet Cappy's demands, so our emanating/burning fuel like a Cappy isn't helpful to our moving forward. There is a warning here about being too rigid/maybe too bossy. Yes, keep an eye on the bottom line/your goals/priorities BUT don't forget our path forward - GEMINI! - is about having a beginner's mind/asking questions/making conversation. Ideas/words need to move about - no hoarding. Winter is already here, it's too late for that. Something to keep in mind now is we have a BIG eclipse coming on June 10, 2021 at 19 degrees Gemini, so where the North Node is now - this will start to activate on May 10th, so these rocks and hard places now need to be attended to. Again stay flexible.

JANUARY 11TH - this is a FOUR STAR DAY - even the Cappy Moon is making all kinds of nice moves (money, career, our goals, action, change, the future) - Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (5 degrees Aquarius), Mercury and Jupiter both sextile Chiron

GOOD NEWS. Lucky conversations/ideas. Being in the right place at the right time. Saying just the right thing. Whatever is going on now brings the opportunity to heal very old and very deep wounds. These Chiron sextiles happening as Mercury and Jupiter launch a new/hopeful story is a good thing. A very good thing.

JANUARY 12TH - things get a little more challenging. That's OK, this is how life works. Now, Venus from 5 degrees Cappy squares Chiron - remember she is getting pulled into the old Cappy story because we AREN'T QUITE DONE WITH IT. Our money, our resources, our SELF-ESTEEM, something is getting jolted. Tension, frustration. Maybe we aren't getting what we want here. We could feel rejected/not enough. We have to move through this - stay sober/do our job - and we will, because in just two days she will be trining (brakes off) Uranus (liberation/the future). Things will get better. Our vulnerabilities may be on display now, but it somehow ends up a good thing. Leans us into change. Just keep embracing the new and releasing the old!

Mercury (6 degrees Aquarius) is squaring Uranus. Unexpected news. Disruption. Financial, resources, self-esteem challenges. The good news - this won't be part of a three-peat, because Mercury, set to station retrograde in a couple weeks isn't walking his/her shadow degrees just yet. Mercury's next move is a smooth trine to the North Node in a few days, so we are going to have to, and will, get through/survive this square.

Our Aquarius and Taurus houses are uber activated and mashing it up. What are the themes of those houses in your chart - this is where to expect your personal challenges. For example, let's say you are a SCORPIO RISING - this might be your 4th and 7th houses - so home/family and partnerships. There is tension/frustration here. Forewarned is forearmed.

JANUARY 13TH - Venus (6 degrees Capricorn) trines Uranus in Taurus. New Moon at 23 degrees Capricorn. Mars (3 degrees Taurus) squares Saturn in Aquarius.

So, after her tussle with Chiron (ouch!) and Mercury's disruptive news, Venus moves into a smooth trine (no need to push) with Uranus. We are attracting change and we are attractive to change! Change is good. With Venus in Cappy we are embracing new goals/new work/new rules.

At the same time the New Moon in Cappy - which will get her own post, is conjunct Pluto - so pulls us right into tomorrow's Sun/Pluto. Mars is squaring Saturn - we had a couple of these last year from Aries/Cappy, but just get this one from Taurus/Aquarius. This is like a new fight that comes out of an old fight!

They have moved from one house into another still swinging.

Independent Mars in Taurus is determined to hold onto what he has/maybe even who he is and Saturn in Aquarius is new rules/new authority/a collective commitment. More battle of the Gods and happening as the Moon meets the Sun and the Sun is only hours from meeting Pluto!

This New Moon is the birth of a new kind of power. That old Cappy storyline gets a funeral. Reality check. Brutal honesty. Power birthed through authenticity. Through the scorched soil of 2020. What the hell will ever grow here?! Well, we are about to find out.

We will unpack this in a BIG post.

JANUARY 14TH - the Sun (24 degrees Cappy) meets Pluto. This is their annual check-in and reboot and it's BIG. Uranus stations direct, Mercury starts walking the shadow degrees of his/her upcoming retrograde (so pay attention to what is happening now, since we will be moving back and forth over it)

Here we are past the death/past the point in the game we always died before. Results come in. A new cycle, around how we handle power, ends and begins begins. The last time the Sun met Pluto, the world ended - we may or may not have noticed back in January 2020 - hindsight being 2020 and all, but over the last year we have surely ALL noticed.

This time the South Node has moved on and so has Saturn (and Ceres and Mercury), so it's a whole different ballgame.

Power/life and death comes to light. Merging/purging. The king is dead, long live the king. The truth comes out of the shadows and how we handle this - fear or embrace - is up to us, and sets up our new Sun/Pluto chapter. Are we busy dying or busy living? If power is stagnant/outdated it will crumble in the harsh light. If we are stepping into ultimate potential, our authority will be unquestionable. With Uranus stationing direct at the same time, here is disruption/change - something unexpected. And keep in mind all the Aqua energies answering to Uranus AND WAKING UP NOW - the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Pallas and Mercury!

As you can see MID MONTH IS HUGE and just keeps going. Have we ever seen anything like this? Something is earth shattering.

That's as far as I can get in one sitting. The rest of this HUGE month we'll unpack in the next post. It is kind of unbelievable and rolls out something like this:

JANUARY 17TH - Jupiter squares Uranus - this is a one-time aspect in 2021, we don't get multiple Jupiter squares as we do with Saturn - this one is bringing something NEW and something BIG. The new expands. With Jupiter ruling the South Node - this is changing old karma/our past/our beliefs IN AN INSTANT. This is Aquarius/Taurus - our future, groups, technology, our money. resources, self-esteem. This can look very good or very bad. Remember Jupiter's ability to make things seem larger than they actually are - when Mercury retrogrades back through Aquarius in February we will get a reality check with this - keep in mind 2021 will be two steps forward and one step back.

JANUARY 19TH - Sun into Aquarius, Vesta stations retrograde

JANUARY 20TH - Mars conjunct Uranus - this is literally a bomb, so let's watch that we don't blow something up, Mercury trines the North Node, First Quarter Moon - this is the day of the United States Inauguration - the chart is major cray-cray.

JANUARY 23RD - Mars squares Jupiter, Venus sextiles Neptune and inconjuncts the North Node, Sun conjuncts Saturn

JANUARY 25TH - Sun sextiles Chiron

JANUARY 26TH - Sun squares Uranus, Neptune squares the North Node

JANUARY 28TH (!!) - Venus conjuncts Pluto, Sun conjuncts Jupiter, Full Moon in Leo - Hygiea is conjunct the Moon, Jupiter is conjunct the Sun - there is a fixed T-Square pointing to Mars who is sandwiched between Uranus and Black Moon Lilith! And Venus is conjunct Pluto at 25 degrees - yes Pluto hits 25 degrees. Oh my!

JANUARY 31ST - Mercury stations retrograde at 26 degrees Aquarius (works his way back to the degree he was walking on JANUARY 15TH where we were dealing with something HUGE) - so if something from the middle of the month was too good or too bad to be true - here is where we go back over them and find out.

There are going to be many opportunities to receive (and give and hold and build) in NEW ways in 2021.

The invitations go out in January.

SAY YES.

In February we will get a more realistic look at what kind of invitation we have accepted/signed up for.

Probably because if we knew the whole story we wouldn't sign up and life needs us to sign up/accept the invitation. Don't bet the farm, but don't skip the invitation even if it seems a little risky.

We just need to be looking ahead.

Remember the Bible story about someone turning to salt when looking backward - who was that, my brain isn't cooperating? - it really doesn't matter, just remember the bottom line - DON'T LOOK BACK.

Happy New Year 2021 | we are the ones we have been waiting for

I will be back with a look at the astrology of January, probably tonight, in the meantime, let's celebrate the new calendar year (bye-bye 2020, don't let the door hit ya!) with some beautiful and time appropriate Hopi wisdom:

"You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour.

And there are things to be considered . . .

Where are you living?

What are you doing?

What are your relationships?

Are you in right relation?

Where is your water?

Know your garden.

It is time to speak your Truth.

Create your community.

Be good to each other.

And do not look outside yourself for the leader."

Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, "This could be a good time!"

"There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are torn apart and will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves.

For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time for the lone wolf is over.

Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary.

All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we have been waiting for."

Happy New Year!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, December 31, 2020 - the day before hindsight really does become 2020

The Moon, at home in Cancer now and waning from her full glory on Tuesday night, opposes Pluto at 3:10AM EST and then goes void off a square to Mars at 8:44AM EST. She is void of course until 1:59PM when she moves into fun-loving, generous and ego-driven Leo (just in time for New Year's Eve). From Leo, the Sun's sign, she will oppose Saturn in Aquarius (for the first time) at 4:56PM EST and a couple hours later, 7:05PM EST oppose Jupiter - also for the first time in Aquarius.

That square to Mars feels uncomfortable. Home/family vs independence/action. Then the Leo/Aqua oppositions certainly sound like those fun plans for New Year's Eve are blocked by those powerful Aqua forces (our commitment to the collective, rules/limits). Aquarius rules the internet, so surely some kind of different fun can be found there!

The news here in the U.S. will almost surely be on fire all weekend and into next week because transiting Mars is now squaring the United States natal Pluto (uber activated already) - also see that Moon in Cancer - opposing Pluto and squaring Mars - from the sign of the United States Sun and Mercury - something BIG is brewing here. Trump, that Mars incarnate, has cut short his vacation and is on his way back to Washington. Expect FIREWORKS and these aspects will lead us into Tuesday's BIG pow-wow of Mercury/Pluto. What will be destroyed/dug up??

Today is also the day, and we talked about this in the Full Moon post, but only briefly - Venus crosses the South Node (19 degrees Sagittarius) and then squares Vesta (20 degrees Virgo).

Venus/South Node is some kind of Venusian wrap-up/result - in the United States it looks like this includes something like: do not pass GO, do not collect $2000. Relationship, resource, financial, self-esteem - something isn't going with us into the New Year and Venus is seeing to that. This is old karmic stuff. The South Node is in Sagittarius - our beliefs/hopes - something here is released as we move toward those Gemini facts and figures. Stay curious. Stay flexible. Keep your eyes/ears open.

Off the South Node, Venus immediately squares Vesta in Virgo. Vesta is our intense focus/what keeps us up at night. In Virgo, she is probably trying to fix something that is broken/imperfect or focused on health (which is obviously part of this) or maybe too fussy over the details of something. Venus is in Sag - seeking adventure, being all easy come/easy go, maybe a little too "know-it-all". The square to Vesta shakes her (as us) up. What's most important now? What keeps us up at night now? Vesta in Virgo, pulls us into 2021 insisting we focus on our health. Physical, financial, relationship. But Venus has her say, too - she still needs breadth of scope, in Sag wants to do the right thing AND live large, can drag our focus away from that broken thingamajig and toward some greener grass over there. Maybe life isn't "a daring adventure or nothing at all" (what's that quote?) or maybe it is.

What do we want our life to be?

January's post is next and if we thought December 31st was putting anything to bed, most especially us, we might need to buy some stronger coffee.

the meaning of the Full Moon in Cancer | December 29, 2020 - it's time to go

On Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:28PM EST, the Cancer Moon will oppose the Capricorn Sun giving us this month's Full Moon - our annual Full Moon in Cancer.

Full Moons are peak energy/culmination points - often endings. We have the moon (where we've been, what we know, feminine energy, being) and the sun (where we are trying to go/be, masculine energy, doing) as far apart in the sky as they can be from our earthly perspective during a Full Moon. This Moon at home in Cancer - so very strong - the Sun, quite comfortable in serious Cappy, but answering to Saturn in Aquarius who is himself answering to Uranus.

Cancer/Capricorn is the polarity of traditional female/male roles. Home and family vs work and the world. How we care for ourselves (and others) and meet our needs for safety and security vs how we push ourselves toward meeting new goals for safety and security. Sometimes on some level love/comfort vs money/comfort. Mom vs dad. Lots of family patterns and soul group energies in this polarity - the Cancer/Capricorn axis - that come to the surface now; ripe to be released.

This release is our gift to ourselves, our ancestors, our past lives and to the planet.

This chart looks pretty straight forward - let's unpack it!

Our last two Cancer Full Moons have been eclipses and this is the first Cancer Full Moon we have had in a couple years without all that Cappy opposition - now we just have Pluto (which is, of course, crazy to say just Pluto, but there I have just said it - ha).

The Moon is at 8 degrees Cancer, the Sun at 8 degrees Capricorn. The Moon is squaring Chiron in Aries (waning). The Sun is trining Uranus in Taurus (also waning/separating). The Moon is building toward/applying to a trine to Ceres in Pisces. Venus is squaring Neptune. Vesta is squaring the North/South Nodes.

The Moon's square to Chiron speaks of a painful home/family/mothering situation. This is in the past, but strongly felt here. Chiron's wounds are very old and very deep. We have been over every inch of Cancer territory the last couple years - this has something like 'the last straw' feel to it.

Keep in mind this pain isn't something that is happening to us, although squares can feel like that. This is actually happening for us. Whatever is triggering us now - understand this is a soul/karmic situation supporting our growth to greater truth/power. They (or the situation) is showing us we are ready to be stronger in our energy. The Chironic wound is actually a great gift.

At the same time the Sun's trine to a future leaning Uranus/Black Moon Lilith conjunction - also waning/separating, so in the past - speaks of change coming from this pain - as we liberate ourselves from what hurts and move smoothly in a new direction.

The Moon's only other close aspect is an approaching trine - brakes off - to Ceres (in Pisces). The Moon and Ceres are both mothering archetypes, so good buddies, I think. Their trine feels a bit smother-mothering, but is also incredibly nurturing, compassionate and fertile.

Maybe just what the doctor ordered.

So, this lunation speaks of a familial pain, wounding, "last straw", our movement away from the wound in a detached/intelligent/maybe even rebellious way (remember Capricorn's ruler is in Aquarius now) which leads us toward more compassion and connection. Unconditional love. Forgiveness. God. Peace.

The separating trine to Uranus/BML has made the cord cutting (real or symbolic) a smooth process - not chaotic/disorderly. The applying trine to Ceres (in Pisces) speaks of season of life issues. One door opening as another door closes. Something bigger/even limitless is waiting with open arms.

It's time to go.

This Moon, as all things celestial - perfectly and synchronistically timed to wrap up 2020 and speak of our journey this year in the beautiful archetypal language as only the heavens can. The very old deep wounding, the healing coming through the future/tech/the unknown (our karma with trauma) with the connection, forgiveness, unconditional love, peace, God (which, yes, to some of us might feel like smother-mothering we'll talk about that in the 2021 post) in the future. This Moon speaks of where we find ourselves right now - as the Moon tends to do. Our next New Moon (our second of four 23 degree New Moons) will be a BIG one conjunct Pluto. January - especially once we get toward the middle - is HUGE and February is, too. The two steps forward in January, the one step backward reality check in February. This will start to feel familiar as the year rolls out. Going to write a monthly overview this week.

Make the time to get out and walk in the Full Moon's energy. The Moon rules Cancer and is very strong/fertile here. Remember your mother's smiling face and know she did the best she could ....

The last of my mother's sisters is in the hospital with covid. Refusing food/nourishment - driven suddenly to some late stage of alzheimer's. She was a working, single-mother back in the late 60's/70's when such a thing was not so common. We are not extremely close, since she wasn't very close to my mother, but in a small family there is always a certain closeness. Intimacy. This Moon is so much like her story right now (as I unpack it) I feel I should warn you, dear reader, there might be something I am not seeing here being as how I can only read this chart with my own eyes. Clouded with nostalgia as they are.

And that wistful nostalgia is making me think of this - from that kindergarten bestseller of a few years back and it seems the perfect way to end this Christmas season as the Cancer Full Moon takes 2020 out with a bang:

"I've known since I was forty years old. Wind-up mechanical toys that make noises and go round and round and do funny things. No batteries. Toys that need me to help them out from time to time. The old-fashioned painted tin ones I had as a child. That's what I want. Nobody believes me. It's what I want, I tell you. Well, okay, that's close, but not quite exactly it. It's delight and simplicity that I want. Foolishness and fantasy and noise. Angels and miracles and wonder and innocence and magic. That's closer to what I want. It's harder to talk about, but what I really, really, really want for Christmas is just this:

I want to be five years old again for an hour.
I want to laugh a lot and cry a lot.
I want to be picked up and rocked to sleep in someone's arms, and carried up to bed just one more time. I know what I really want for Christmas.
I want my childhood back.

Nobody is going to give me that. I might give at least the memory of it to myself if I try. I know it doesn't make sense, but since when is Christmas about sense, anyway? It is about the child of now. In you and me. Waiting behind the door of our hearts for something wonderful to happen."

All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten

Today's Astrology Forecast | Monday, December 28, 2020 - a slow process of fast change

The Moon has been in Gemini for the last couple days - we are nurtured by movement, learning, conversation. She opposed Venus late last night (EST), squares Neptune at 6:58AM EST and then goes void off a 10PM EST sextile with Mars. She will be void until 5:28AM EST tomorrow when her move home to Cancer pushes us toward Tuesday's Full Moon. So, we start today kind of groggy/uncertain maybe with that foggy Neptune and then pick up speed/action/certainty the closer we get to that opportunistic aspect with Mars.

We are coming off Sunday's Sun/Uranus trine - in play at tomorrow's Full Moon and today, too. The Sun in realistic/sober Cappy making nice with Uranus in Taurus. A smooth integration of the new. Change doesn't always have to be disruptive.

Today, Pallas moves into a square with Uranus and the Sun a trine with Black Moon Lilith.

So, maybe yesterday's liberating leaning toward something else runs up against the details/maybe overthinking that complicates it. Or maybe I have this whole thing backward and our intelligent/forward leaning plans run up against some #unexpected #not-totally-unexpected changes.

Either way it could be what we don't want to see/who or what we don't want to invite to the table that trips us up. That smooth trine Sun/BML will help us integrate what we have been avoiding/not wanting to deal with.

I keep thinking of Uranus on the descendant of both the USA's birth chart and Biden's natal - both major amplifications of 'the other'. And Trump's Sun/Uranus/North Node - all fated to bring our understanding of 'the other' under a magnifying glass/to our attention. Trauma/karma with 'the other' eventually bringing us to the realization that those people/things/situations we mistrust as 'other' are not really our enemies at all, but just splintered off pieces of ourselves.

Where you end and I begin isn't so fixed as we used to think.

Before the ideas of control/ownership of patriarchal religion and the hijacking of our natural resources engulfed us, we lived in sharing and caring communities. It's rather obvious, or better be at this late date, the so-called civilizing influence of modern societies have been simply a smokescreen for grand theft global, with the biggest losses hitting the pillagers themselves - and their descendants - in the form of soul dis-connection.

Uranus/Aquarius is about to change all of that.

Jupiter and Saturn, as us, have passed through the eye of the needle. Or launched us like a rocket into the stratosphere. Our uncomfortableness isn't so much about our fear of change/the new/the other/our so-called 'junk' DNA being activated as it is about being straitjacketed into something we have outgrown. 2021 won't be the inside job 2020 was, but it will be a hell of alot easier if we actually did/do the inside work. Life has a few more tricks/opportunities for this up her sleeve - one coming as early as tomorrow's potent Full Moon in Cancer which will reverberate over the next couple weeks.

For today, give yourself some extra time.

The Moon in Gemini is all fast moving go-go-go, but that square to Neptune requires some extra rest or a deeper connection. With smart Pallas in smart Aqua squaring Aqua's ruler Uranus our over-thinking will be on steroids and not apt to be super effective. Just winging it won't be either. So take your time.
