Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, October 8, 2020 - a slow start, our focus shifts, love (or any lack ) hurts, when fixing doesn't fix it, why do we want what we want and what do we really need

The Moon is void until 11:45AM EDT (feel free to sleep in if you can, you won't miss much that amounts to anything) when she comes home to Cancer. Turning our attention to home, family, mother, security, home business, family business, real estate, renovation, ancestry, country, patriotism. She is unaspected - mostly a good thing with all the Libra/Aries/Cappy stress awaiting her out there - until early, early tomorrow morning (2:16AM EDT) when she sextiles Venus.

And speaking of Venus, at 6 degrees Virgo, she has now moved into an inconjunct with wounded healer Chiron.

So, maybe the more we try to fix something, the less 'fixed' it is - the more it hurts. Or maybe the more we notice what isn't working. We talked abut our need during Venus in Virgo to not over-focus on what is "wrong" (especially within our relationship, finances) - this isn't about ignoring problems (not something Venus in Virgo is prone to do anyway), but more about realizing when they aren't totally fixable - situations have innate 'give and takes' built into them sometimes - some things we either have to live with or figure out we can't. Avoid over-giving/over-taking. Inconjuncts require adjustments and even then things aren't quite right.

Venus/Chiron speaks of our 'wants' being distorted by old/deep woundings.

Why do we want this? Why does our lack of this hurt? Chiron is in independent Aries - how can we give more of this (abundance, appreciation, love) to ourselves? The Moon is in Cancer - what do we need?

I am working on part II of the October Trump covid post where we'll add in the U.S. natal. It should be up tonight.

The connections are cray-cray.

Every day is DANGEROUS for Trump now that he has this virus. I don't believe for one second he is 'alright' as the Whitehouse is reporting. He isn't. We would assume he is getting the best possible care, but it seems like he might be driving the care he is getting. Doctors are reporting he has 'no symptoms', but are they getting this info from Trump or from testing? Who knows. Mercury is going to station retrograde Tuesday while the Sun squares Mars, kicking everything up a notch and even before that we have the Moon in Cancer forming a fast moving (but powerful with the Moon in her home sign) - Grand Cardinal Cross. Hopefully the people around him know what they are doing.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, October 7, 2020 - startling information, unexpected results, decision time, not a day to sit on what we know or close our eyes

We wake with the Moon still in "busy and chatty" Gemini - she has trined the Libra Sun at 5:17AM EDT, she squares Neptune at 1:50PM EDT and finally goes void off a productive sextile to a retrograde Mars at 9:56PM EDT. She will be void until 11:45AM tomorrow.

The Moon/Sun waning trine will help us with today's big aspect - Mercury opposing Uranus (first of three). This is unexpected news/secrets being revealed. Decisions.

We talked about this in length HERE (see Wednesday).

"Mercury in Scorpio is diving into the truth/secrets/a deeper level of information - Uranus is kind of a flash of 'genius' that illuminates what Mercury has dug up. Some unexpected truth could come out now. Disruptive results involving financial/intimacy/merged situations. Oppositions to Uranus can bring abrupt endings. With Mercury walking shadows degrees she/he will walk two more times we will have this aspect again on October 19th (with Mercury retrograde) and finally on November 17th, so this could be the start of a series of revelations.

Watch your language/words now. Be clear-sighted about the information/stories you tell and what you are allowing yourself to absorb. With Uranus, language is intensified - pulls us into the future. Think twice.

For some people this aspect can also bring technology/transportation issues. Surprises through siblings or our local community"

The good news here is the waning Gemini/Libra trine - this is information shared kindly/lightly, conversations with partners. So maybe whatever we find out here - the Mercury/Uranus deep dive - either involves a partnership or is communicated to other people. Maybe the communication brings things into a greater balance. Maybe whatever we do with the information increases our income/security/changes our values. We Mercury about to go retrograde and walking shadow degrees this will be a process.

This is not a day to sit on what we know or shut our eyes. Uranus brings the unexpected, but he also brings the detachment to help deal with it/the space and perspective to see it more clearly.

With Mercury/Uranus having two more oppositions - the next on October 17th with the Moon unaspected in Scorpio and the final on November 17th when the Moon is sextiling Venus - we can see this matter will be ongoing and more info will come out/more decisions made - it's not a "one and done" kind of thing, but situations can end well with that November sextile if we share what we know now/see what we are being shown.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - anxiety, restlessness, can't get no satisfaction, unexpected news, best two out of three, making it better, re-lighting an old passion

The Moon has moved into Gemini - we are nurtured through movement, communication, meetings, writing, siblings, commerce, humor, chatty interactions, our local community/neighbors, tech/transportation.

Her only aspect today a tense square to Venus (in Virgo) at 8:40AM EDT.

Virgo/Gemini squares, especially when they impact our emotional Moon can make us feel anxious. With Venus/Moon there is a disconnect between what we want and what we need. We might have to make quick decisions when we really want to check into something more thoroughly/dive into the details. Maybe we are faced with too many choices, but none are really exactly right. Maybe we are too quick to say yes to something or we feel criticized/picked apart. Restlessness makes us move from one thing to the other, but nothing is very satisfying.

We are building toward tomorrow's exact opposition between Mercury and Uranus - our lower and higher minds - and this can just add to the frustration. Maybe here is where we get some unexpected/potentially upsetting news. Back up your files. Check your oil. Lighten your schedule.

There are a couple ways through today astrologically.

First, we think about what today's lunar square - the Gemini/Virgo, Moon/Venus - is showing us.

I am reminded of a teaching from back in my banking days that was a pyramid with the angles labeled 1. quality 2. price 3. speed. The idea was that it was impossible to give a customer all three of these things and have a successful business. You couldn't give a cheap price and fast service and quality all at the same time. Something had to be given up or you would be out of business. I am not sure that model is still true, but it's kind of like today's energy, so probably it is.

Another thing we can do with tough aspects is look for smoother ones.

We have Mars, retrograde at 23 Aries, trine Vesta in Leo. This speaks of delays/revisions/even reversals working to our advantage. Maybe we are going back over something, so we are happier with it and can have more pride in what we are doing/creating. Vesta in Leo is our sacred focus on what makes us joyful/proud/our center-stage/what we are here to GIVE LIFE TO (which is always ourselves, but shows up in other forms). Aries and Leo are both signs of courage/bravery - this can be needed now. Vesta, and the fact Mars is retrograde, speak of a more concentrated "inside job" kind of focus/activity. Vesta in Leo makes it easier to feel that great BIG yes, we talked about in the weekly HERE. Time with children, a beloved hobby, a creative project, romantic partner - maybe going back to something we once loved to do, can stir up a forgotten memory (one of those untangled knots), and bring us closer to what our heart wants now.

Spark an old flame (and we can literally do this - grab that box of old birthday candles in the junk drawer and LIGHT one, two, all of them - see what comes to light).

Today's astrology Forecast for Creatives | Monday, October 5, 2020 - knowing our worth, what makes sense/cents, building things that last/stabilize us, staying flexible, taking care of ourselves

The Moon is exalted in Taurus today, making some nice/stabilizing aspects - she trines Pluto at 8:50AM EDT then goes void off a trine to Saturn at 2:41PM EDT. She is void for the rest of the day. Good for dealing with authority/power situations (providing we know our own worth), making solid progress, building things that last.

The Sun is nearing the middle of Libra and will start to move into his square to the Cappy planets in the next few days, but he's still got some space/time and Libra is an air sign so we can get a little distance from things; a little perspective.

The Moon will be in Gemini tomorrow - the pace will increase, the energies are more mixed - so take advantage of today's Taurus Moon and even this afternoon's time-stretching void (the Moon will continue to perform in her exalted sign of Taurus).

Mercury (news, information, communication) is moving toward her opposition to Uranus (unexpected), and with Mercury's upcoming retrograde this will be in play off and on for weeks. So, we need to be able to roll with some unexpected twists and turns here. Back up your files.

Tend to your thinking/your language now. We need to be mindful we aren't just talking/thinking about what needs to go/what we are worried about - because we can end up lining ourselves up with more things to worry about/more things that need to go. Stay focused on what you want - the future. Mars is retrograde, Mercury is soon to be - there are/will be looks back, but remember to be looking forward to something ELSE at the same time. Make plans. Yes, the Gods might laugh - make them anyway.

We talked about Trump's chart HERE and I took a peek at Biden's this morning and he's got asteroid Hygiea transiting his natal 8th house Pluto right now - exact next Saturday (when Mars will be at 22 degrees and squaring those hot January Cappy degrees) and it will exactly conjunct his natal Hygiea in the middle of November. He'll have Pandora at the top of his chart at that time and conjunct his natal Pandora and asteroid Wuhan will have reached 0 Aquarius, the degree Jupiter and Saturn will meet the next month. He's got some aspects to his 12th and 6th houses. He needs to be careful, too. And he is.

With Europe looking at new lockdowns and the U.S. President locked down - Saturn/Pluto both direct as of yesterday - we need to take care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally.

We will talk more about this when I continue the October series.

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of October 5, 2020 - unexpected truth, picking at scabs, power struggles, the courage to survive, changing the way we change

I don't want to say it. You don't want to hear it. But probably another intense week.

Maybe the most important thing to keep in mind now as we move through the astrology of this final quarter of 2020, and maybe especially October, is to keep things as simple as we can. Get rid of things we don't need. Take things off our plate. Slow down. Take care of our physical selves. Get more sleep. Drink more water. If something isn't a great big heartfelt YES or a great big MUST, then it needs to be a great big NO. And the 'must' can't be something we have manufactured through overthinking. If it doesn't get us fed, clothed, housed -  then it needs to be a great big heartfelt YES,

or, it's a clear NO.

I had two people talk to me this week about their fading memories/their past feeling very far away and feeling disconnected from their current life. And, we can see in these unstable times, how our minds might compartmentalize/wipe out what's not needed, in order to just keep us going.

We can try seeing memories as these kind of  tangles of energy that keep us connected to our old stories -and, yes, they also kind of hold our 3D self together in a way. Part of the reason we love the things we love is our memories of those things, so without our memories we can lose our emotional connections AND, on the flipside, be freed up to love new things.

Most energies just move right through us, but sometimes situations/emotions get stuck. As the old world fades and the New World advances (or kind of pulls us forward faster), those memories (energetic tangles) can untangle. It's tricky territory because they keep us connected to the lives we have built and the people we have built them with. Without the memories we can start feeling disconnected from what used to matter. We can also grow incredibly sentimental as these knots tighten up or come apart.

This 'unraveling' isn't a bad thing, but it can be painful/scary. It also allows us to see/feel what really matters now as we prepare to move forward and create new stories. Maybe this will make sense and be helpful to someone else. I have had Pluto back and forth over my third house Mercury for the last couple years and have seen these 'tangles' unravel me into a totally different way of thinking/seeing the world. Trying not to think about the swiss-cheese imagery a brain scan might produce for me right now!

Ok, let's unpack the week! We'll add in the Moon with some dailies - she looks pretty good until we get to the end of the week (Moon in Cancer) and she opposes all the Cappy stuff and squares the Libra/Aries. She will go void at 2:41PM EDT tomorrow for the rest of the day - so we will want to get our Monday work done early!

WEDNESDAY - Mercury opposes Uranus
THURSDAY - Venus inconjuncts Chiron
FRIDAY - Quarter Moon (17 degrees Cancer), Mars squares Pluto

SATURDAY - Mars sextiles North Node, Venus trines Uranus

SUNDAY - Sun squares Jupiter, Sun inconjunct Uranus

WEDNESDAY - Mercury at 9 degrees Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus.

Mercury in Scorpio is diving into the truth/secrets/a deeper level of information - Uranus is kind of a flash of 'genius' that illuminates what Mercury has dug up.

Surprises through siblings or our local community.

THURSDAY - Venus at 6 degrees Virgo inconjuncts Chiron in Aries.

Inconjuncts are awkward. What we want or a relationship/financial/values issue triggers a wound/hurt. Keep in mind, Venus in Virgo can be picky. So maybe it's just a tiny little thing that isn't quite right or maybe since Virgo is such a 'fixer 'energy we are focused on trying to fix something that just can't be fixed. Inconjuncts require adjustments, but we just have to kind of live with things being imperfect here.

FRIDAY - a retrograde Mars at 22 degrees Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn (this is the degree Saturn and Pluto met back in January - when "time ran out").

This is the second of three battles between these titans. They squared off back in mid August, with Pluto retrograde and Mars direct, now they have both reversed course and square off again. And, we will be back here for the final round on December 23rd (with both of these bad boys direct) - so immediately after this year's important Winter Solstice when Jupiter meets Saturn in Aquarius.

There might be intense competition and unbridled ambition. Manipulations. Obsessions. Jealousy. Physical power struggles. Excisions/surgical procedures. Situations that feel like "life and death" and sometimes they will be, but most often they won't. Our power could be challenged or we could be the one doing the calling out. If we are "waked", and with Mars retro we better be, this is the time to think about why this situation is "triggering" us.

If we are repressing anger/passion/strong urges - here's where the gloves might come off.

We could be mad (Mars) at the truth (Pluto). We could be battling (Mars) for power/control (Pluto). We don't want to be ruthless or under-handed, but we might have to stand up for ourselves. Avoid unnecessary run ins with the boss/authority because THEY WILL WIN. If we are the boss/authority then avoid making other people feel threatened/un-empowered because WE WILL LOSE in the long run. And we are playing a long game here. Keep this in mind.

Mars/Pluto is like a bully aspect, but it is also about having the courage to SURVIVE.

If we are pushing to make something happen with a kind of 'THIS MUST HAPPEN' urgency - well, here is the square where Mars is retrograde and life is an inside job - so, why are we pushing for this?? The New World that is about to kick off, and we can already feel ourselves being pulled into it which is why we are so unsteady - doing a hokey-pokey style dance in two worlds at the same time - the New World is not a linear space. We don't need to make herculean efforts to make things happen. We don't actually need to make anything happen. The center isn't going to hold because the center cannot hold. With challenging Plutonian aspects we need to keep in mind how to ground ourselves for our immediate survival. Stay healthy. Keep your environment clean/alive. Slow down. Take care of you.

This is also the date of the Third Quarter Moon, with the Moon at 17 degrees Cancer squaring the Sun in Libra. This is uncomfortable/frustrating. Maybe we want to stay home where we are comfy-cozy and situations are requiring we bring something into greater balance or maybe socialize. Cancer is old school, so maybe there is something here about rules, traditional roles within our family or a family situation vs a need for fairness. This is a part of the Full Moon in Aries conjunct Chiron story. The Moon is waning now, so what needs to go?

SATURDAY - Mars at 22 degrees Aries sextiles the North Node in Gemini.

Here are our actions lining us up with the future. Keep in mind Mars is retrograde so this could be more about what we are re-working, re-vising, re-viewing, even an un-raveling of the old.

At the same time - Venus at 9 degrees Virgo trines Uranus in Taurus

Here is where small changes/fixes - within relationships, finances, our values - can have a BIG impact. What needs tweaking? This is a good day for action and initiative. Things can fall into place. We are changing the way we deal with change. New ways to make money. New relationships. New values. Think practical/grounded/being of service. Good for changes to our daily routine and health practices - for these situations think more new/cutting edge. Changes that make sense/cents.

SUNDAY - the Sun at 18 degrees Libra squares Jupiter in Capricorn and inconjuncts Uranus in Taurus

This might speak of some exaggerated expressions of power within our relationships or maybe someone's need for expansion/more/change creates tension/frustration within a relationship. Things can feel out of balance.

On the bright side, and with Jupiter there is always a bright side, this aspect can bring confidence, enthusiasm, hope. We just want to avoid taking on too much/over-promising or expecting too much from other people. At the same time the Sun is inconjunct Uranus - some awkwardness/rocks and hard places between change and balance or liberation vs our partnerships/contracts. Adjustments required today.

xo all - back with the dailies and we'll toss up a chart for that infamous 'garden party' and see what we see

By now we've likely seen the photos of the rose garden ceremony (Amy Coney Barrett's Announcement Party) where it is being reported covid began its journey to Trump - mostly mask-less people, shaking hands, bear-hugging, back-patting - something the rest of us, including the CHILDREN (masked and encased in plexi windshields, our amazing teachers have made for their desks ie jeeps, for hours everyday where I live) would pay dearly to be able to do again as effortlessly and worry-free as these cocky revelers with RBG just barely lain to rest.

It made me go looking for asteroids Karma and Hybris (Greek Goddess of insolence, impudence and outrageous behavior - she gave her name to our word “hubris”).

Hybris turned out to be, #surprise, #nosurprise, exactly conjunct Trump's natal 4th house Moon and exactly opposing his natal Sun as his diagnosis was announced. And transiting asteroid Hygiea (the virus) conjunct his natal asteroid Hybris (exact on 10/13). Trump was born with asteroid Karma exactly on his natal Saturn and transiting Karma is now conjunct his 12th house Pluto.

Hubris and Karma playing their hand with him ....

the October Astrology of Trump, Covid and the United States | a major transformation to restore balance, part I

We talked about Trump's covid announcement astrology HERE.

This is a very BIG deal. We knew something BIG was coming in October - I know astrologers predicting war/alien invasions (and who knows, maybe this is still coming #kidding #notkidding) - but it should have been obvious, but somehow never is, that with Pluto stationing on the January "time runs out" degree, with both Mars (running the show) and the Sun moving through squares to those same Cappy planets that brought us covid - this was likely to be about covid which actually is both a war and an alien invasion.

On OCTOBER 4TH - Pluto is going to station direct (he is back to where he was in April and also takes us back to those mid-January situations - this stationing every is in effect for a few days) - here's the death that was postponed.

Things can escalate quickly.

I hope we have all been cleaning up our messes. The thing to remember about death and Pluto is most often the death is a metaphorical death. Something changes and we can't go back. At station, Pluto's energy is most powerful/unpredictable and he is powerful enough already being Lord of the Underworld and all that. He will be conjunct asteroid Wuhan (which we know represents the virus).

Not a time to muck around with.

At this point Trump's chart and the U.S. chart, because keep in mind they are impacting each other, will have a few things going on.

For Trump, some challenging transits are longer term - his progressed Moon (in Virgo) is exactly square his 10th house Uranus right now and for the next couple months. This is about his career and Uranus rules his 6th house of health (along with Saturn who we know is squaring Mars). His natal Uranus, sandwiched between his Sun and North Node has always helped him stay healthy, but now with transiting Uranus squaring the midpoint of his natal Mars/Saturn and his natal Pluto - which is known for nervous tension, stress, accidents, illness - good health can be challenging.

Crazy stress/pressure.

Now, as Pluto stations direct on OCTOBER 4TH, Trump will have Ceres (retrograde) exactly conjunct his natal descendant - so exactly opposing his ascendant (his physical self). Since Ceres was at that January palaver - we always talk about Saturn/Pluto, but it was actually Saturn/Pluto/Ceres/Mercury and the Sun - and she rules things outside our control, season of life issues/transitions, nature and Trump has a natal Pluto/Ceres opposition - this is important.

He has transiting Chiron (wounding) exactly conjunct his natal Eris (that prominent outsider energy of his). Chiron will be opposing his natal Neptune (in Libra). Neptune is ruler of his Pisces 8th house (of death). So ultimately his death, (and I am certainly not forecasting that which isn't even possible) could involve a woman and obviously there are other possibilities, but since he was tested for covid after a woman near him tested positive this could be important.

He will have transiting Mars retrograde (inflammation/fast-moving situations) backing over his natal Hygeia (the disease) and transiting Hygeia backing over his natal Pluto (power/death/transformation) - this stuff will be in play for a while with Mars/Hygeia exact on 10/12 and Hygeia/Pluto exact on 10/22.

If we look at the October astrology we have a Grand Cardinal Cross that turns into a Cardinal T-Square. We are going to move through - and this is all of us (personally and collectively) - a major transformation that attempts to restore some kind of harmony/balance.

The process looks gut-wrenching.

At the same time, the United States natal chart (the U.S. Sibley chart) is equally stressed as we build toward our Pluto return in 2022. The transiting North Node is approaching a conjunction to the U.S. Mars which is in Gemini and answering to the country's Mercury which natally opposes Pluto, but by transit is also opposing that Cappy pile-up which now includes Pallas (smart strategies - that's good) and asteroid Wuhan (not so good). Transiting Mars is set to back over the U.S. natal Chiron (a national wounding), so Trump's natal Hygeia is on the United States Chiron - a national wounding! The transiting Sun will soon be conjunct the U.S. Saturn (endings) - exact on the 7th.

I know this is alot of astro-babble - sorry.

Trump also has some good/protective aspects including the  transiting Sun conjuncting his natal Jupiter - this is strength, energy, expansion. It's very good. He has the transiting North Node conjunct his natal North Node - so fate is precisely lined up with itself from the day Trump was born - I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing for him, but assures us that whatever is going to happen here, the hand of destiny is playing a role.

We have Jupiter sextiling Neptune - exact on the 12th - prayers help.

Whatever happens his life is in bigger hands than those doctors.

I think we'll start including Trump's transits briefly in the dailies. If his health takes a turn one way or the other on OCTOBER 4TH, as Pluto stations - that could likely be the course that is set.

Prayer is very powerful now and I will be praying for him, because although I do not agree with him on very much - I see the warrior in his chart and I respect that. I see the United States Pluto return and the incoming Age of Aquarius and know something/someone like Trump was going to happen to us. For us. For all of us - for the world.

Breakdown to breakthrough.

500 years ago during the last Saturn/Pluto meeting in Capricorn the Protestant reformation began and although Martin Luther gets credit for nailing his manifesto to the doors of Wittenberg's Castle Church kicking things off (and rightfully so), another important player was King Henry VIII. His search for a male heir (and love of a woman not his wife) plus inability to get a annulment from the Catholic Church in order to divorce Catherine and marry Anne led to the creation of the Church of England. Trump is very much a Henry character (maybe even was Henry in another life) participating, albeit mainly unconsciously, in this current transfer of power. This time, from a kind of structured hierarchy/patriarchy that has created the illusion of holding everything together to a center that will not hold and so we are forced to see through the illusion/create something else.

We'll come back with part II after we get past Pluto's change of direction .....

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, October 2, 2020 - Trump's Full Moon, Venus into Virgo, needing to be needed, get it done early

We started the month with a BIG Full Moon in Aries on Chiron - a vulnerability exposed.

Within hours the White House announces Trump and Melania both have Covid-19 (probably via Hope Hicks, the loyal Trump staffer whose disappearance/reappearance has made headlines and whose diagnosis resulted in both Trumps being tested). Remember the chart showed the 'exposure' had already happened - the Moon and Chiron's conjunction waning.

You might remember THIS post connecting Covid-19 to asteroids Wuhan and Pandora conjunct on sinister fixed star Algol in the U.S. Sibley - the same degree conjunct Trump's mid-heaven (career/public life).

And what did Pandora have left in her box after pandemic and a myriad other ills made their escape - HOPE (which I am increasingly suspicious is actually one of the ills) .

With another Full Moon coming at the very end of this month conjunct Uranus (chaos, the unexpected) and with asteroid Hygie moving over Trump's natal 12th house (endings) Pluto (death) at that time - obviously he will get the best medical care - but he needs to be very, very careful. Pluto also rises from the ashes, which I hope he does, but I would be surprised if he just breezes through this thing. Of course, caught up in a political fight for his survival, we could just be seeing that and how his covid diagnosis and quarantine impacts that.

 Let's hope so.

In the meantime, yesterday's Full Moon chart, as drawn for Washington DC, COMES TO LIFE.

The Full Moon conjunct Chiron - a vulnerability exposed. Venus at 28 Leo exactly conjunct the DC (a loved/royal/loyal young woman as an open enemy?), tightly conjunct Trump's natal AC and conjunct U.S. natal Hygie. Venus in the Full Moon chart conjunct asteroid Pandora - whose opened box unleashed all the ills upon the world, but trapped Hope - which is also the name of Trump's loyal staffer (the beloved young woman) whose diagnosis led to this "exposure" - at least as far as the mundane chart goes since this is what is made public at the time of the Moon.

Pandora exactly sextiling Mercury in Scorpio (in the 8th) - exposing surprising life and death secrets. Also the Full Moon in Aries kind of lighting the fuse for the rest of October - the astro of which looks totally cray-cray and wraps with another Full Moon, this time in Taurus conjunct Uranus ... with Hygie on Trump's 12th house (endings) Pluto (life and death). This diagnosis is no joke. And Full Moons are very powerful for Trump, since he was born on one.

Will covid transform Trump? Stay tuned.

In the meantime, it is Friday, October 2nd - Venus enters Virgo - the sign of her debilitation, since she is exalted in Virgo's polarity sign of Pisces - so now both benevolent planets are in challenging positions - more reason to focus on the Neptune/Jupiter we talked about in the Full Moon post HERE. Prayers are uber powerful right now.

With Venus in Virgo love is a verb - expressed through what we do for other people and what they do for us. Being needed makes us feel loved.

We will be analyzing what we want and what we have. We will be analyzing our relationships/our resources/our values. The problems will stand out. We won't be able to miss them. And since what we focus on grows, sometimes things get worse before they get better during this transit. But this is excellent energy to fix what needs fixing and accept (or eliminate) what just isn't fixable.

Virgo Suns and Ascendants get more attractive - both easier on the eye and able to attract what they want. Our natal Virgo houses get more attractive, too!

Venus in Virgo is about loving the details of something, enjoying the work, appreciating the craftsmanship and complexity of something or someone or some situation - yes, also, noticing the imperfections, Virgo can't miss those, and choosing not to dwell on them.

This is the time to get your Venusian stuff in order - your money, your resources. If you have a business - recheck your bottom line, your pricing, does everything still make sense/cents?

The Moon in Aries is challenged tonight through squares to Jupiter and Pluto. She meets up with Mars just before midnight EDT. Coming off the Full Moon and moving toward these squares could make for a stressful Friday, so get things done and out early. Take tonight off.

FULL MOON in Aries | October 1, 2020 - a BIG month kicks off, a light on what hurts, accepting what is, being self-centered without being an asshole, leaning into the magic, a turning point, the fuse is lit

"I'd rather be whole than good." ... C.G. Jung ...

October is bookended by two BIG Full Moons - one in Aries on October 1st and one in Taurus on October 31st. The first, conjunct Chiron (our wounded masculine, ouch), the second conjunct Uranus and Black Moon Lilith (change, chaos, female power/rejection, can you say October surprise?). And in between a HUGE New Moon in Libra.

Have I said before October is going to be a BIG month?! Maybe the biggest month of 2020.

Yes, I think I did!

The Full Moon is always a time of cosmic tension - the Moon opposes the Sun. The Moon is in Aries at 9 degrees (answering to a retrograde Mars in his home sign - initiative, passion, courage, anger, violence, independence). The Sun, opposing from 9 degrees Libra answering to Venus at the end of Leo (and look at her exactly conjunct the descendant of the Full Moon chart drawn for Washington D.C. - other people, open enemies, oh my). This is the culmination of the Aries New Moon that launched the lunar year back in April, so maybe something from that time is finishing up.

Feels like years ago, doesn't it? Time has kind of swallowed us up, so it probably was!

At the time of the Full Moon - situations peak, culminate, come to light, conclude.

Results are delivered.

And this month we have Saturn stationing direct just hours before! Whoosh - the tables turn.

Let's unpack the chart.

The Moon opposes the Sun - Aries/Libra at 9 degrees. Me vs we. How we partner. How we balance and share. Is justice just? An Aries Moon is raw/impulsive/self-centered. The energy can make us antsy and accident-prone.

The Moon is conjunct Chiron - the aspect is waning. The Moon is semi-sextile Uranus (exact) - the Sun inconjunct. Mars, ruler of Aries and so ruler of this lunation is retrograde in Aries, exactly conjunct Eris and squaring Saturn and the Capricorn pile-up, trining Venus and sextiling the North Node. I've been adding in asteroids lately if exact and the Sun is exactly conjunct asteroid Apophis (the Moon exactly opposed), so we'll take a look at that.

The Moon is conjunct wounded healer Chiron - a weakness, a fear, a vulnerability is illuminated now.

An old familial wound, the scab freshly picked and throbbing. We might need to stand up for ourselves/assert our right to be here/to fit in. Hidden vulnerabilities/wounds are made public under the Full Moon's beams (this is waning so the actual exposure has already happened, but it will play out over the course of the Full Moon - the next two weeks and also the next six months). Think about Trump's tax returns coming out and showing he makes less money/is less valuable than he claimed to (he has a natal 2nd house Chiron which rules money/resources/values, so an old familial wounding around his VALUE/his resources - fear of poverty, familial new money devalued by New York's old money society).

So, our private/personal (Mars) vulnerabilities/wounds (Chiron) are made public/come into the light (the Full Moon). This can also be about our actions/re-actions and their backlash or our own regrets. For some, this could play out as an injury/illness since Mars/Aries rules our collective first house of our physical body. With Mars retrograde this would probably be an old injury that acts back up or gets re-injured and this could have already happened and is now playing out.

Whatever this is for us, the Full Moon allows us to see this clearly and in real-time. Our insecurities, our lack of motivation/passion/courage, our physical shortcomings - the light goes HERE.

Saturn stations direct just hours before the Full Moon. Daddy's home.

A retrograde Mars (ruler of Aries and this Full Moon) is squaring Saturn - this is also waning, but only barely - this is old responsibilities, commitments. A tennis match so many of us are watching/playing between anger and depression. On the one hand Saturn is savings our asses (and reputation) from a misguided Mars impulsivity and on the other hand this is also the authoritarian strategy of divide and conquer that WANTS Mars (as us) to be out there fighting/chasing his tail. Nothing is ever just one thing. There are limits here. Controlled burning - maybe. But also fires getting stoked. This is within the collective, but also within our own home and our own HEAD.

What does all this mean?

This Moon is actually kind of simple - we have the Chiron wounding - which we can see in ourselves/in other people. We need to take ownership of our own crap/fear here, but not take on anyone else's crap. The Moon is really as simple and as complicated as that. It takes COURAGE (Aries) to take responsibility for our own issues. It also takes courage to not take on other people's issues. We want to be self-centered now, and self-centered meaning exactly that - centered in ourselves.

With Saturn/Pluto squaring it will be our old paternal/maternal power struggles that we are re-enacting with partners/with life. Maybe we notice this, maybe we don't. Either way we can choose to not engage with the energies at the level of 'blame' (and this includes blaming ourselves because these are very deeply buried patterns - that once kept us alive - that we are recreating) or we can go 'all in' with this stuff and dig ourselves an even bigger hole. Blame other people, blame our parents, the government, yada-yada. Or we can go 'all in' and take on the ownership of this wound as if we are the wound! So, let's not do that either. Let's not double-down on this stuff.

If we are going to be truly ourselves - better whole than good (as Jung would say), other people may not be so happy about it. This isn't about being a selfish asshole, but we are going to have to get angry sometimes. Maybe even very angry. And we are going to have to find ways to work with these feelings that aren't destructive. And, that don't allow this personal and collective tension and stress to dump directly into our nervous system and impact our health or force impulsive choices.

Jupiter has been holed up all year in Cappy, Saturn's house. It's like having Santa Claus living with Scrooge and instead of making toys at the North Pole he's busy doing his taxes ... for a year. But right now - and this becomes exact next week - he has a beneficial sextile to ancient ruler Neptune and since this aspect is applying, it is stronger than the waning aspects we have already talked about.

Neptune brings compassion/a higher purpose/connection to our past/our ancestors/our unconscious memories that we carry in our DNA of all the good things we have ever done or wanted to do. Jupiter brings the luck that comes from confidence. Now sextiles require some action - and this will be our Cappy house and our Pisces house - we talked about this/and felt this yesterday through our Pisces Moon aspecting Saturn and Pluto. Making the dream real. Stabilizing the confusion. Responsibilities forcing us out of our lethargy. Magic. Lining up with divinity. The reality police WAKE US UP. This brings opportunities, so don't hit the snooze button. We are either replaying old karma or moving into our destiny.

The New World requires we be living an authentic life. It's the only requirement really. If we think someone else has to change or they have to do something for us to be happy - we have set our ladder against the wrong wall. We have to move that damn ladder! This month will go much easier if we are trusting God/life/the Universe. We have to trust the process. Keep in mind Chiron's healing comes through acceptance of the wound. Meeting life where it is. Here's my damn ladder. Let's stay centered in our breath.

Full Moons are culminations and with Saturn stationing direct we are at a TURNING POINT. Pray. Meditate. And don't be afraid to confront what hurts - an Aries Moon is brave/independent. We want to be standing in our own shoes now.

(and just as I write this I remember this morning's dream where I was in college and trying to navigate steep stairs, which were more like the bars on a kid's jungle gym and wearing de-stabilizing spikey heels - me in high heels!? - and it was getting late and I had to be somewhere else/maybe home (?), but at the same time had very important information to deliver and kept running into the people who needed it - woke up later than I have in years and feeling refreshed, but lost in the pressure of the dream)

This is a wonderful and bittersweet Full Moon to get out and walk in, so let's do that! We can see Mars easily, too, now, retrograde he is at his closest position to the Earth.

xo all - (back with an October post and we'll look at the mid-month and covid)

I just realized I never got to asteroid Apophis and now that I've looked into him, I can see why! He is exactly conjunct the Sun and opposing the Full Moon, so let's look at his mythology and see if he can add anything to our celestial weather forecasting.

Apophis - and we are reaching back to ancient Eqyptian mythology here - also known as Apep was a Great Serpent and enemy of the Sun God Ra. He attacked Ra's great ship every night in an attempt to kill Ra and prevent the sunrise. He is associated with chaos, storms, darkness, death. And in modern days, he is also associated with terrorism.

Because Apophis was thought to have always existed - he swam in the dark waters of undifferentiated chaos (to quote ancient.eu here) before creation started. Creation - duality/order - angered Apophis, I guess being used to a disorderly, but unified whole. After creation there were opposites - day and night, light and dark, good and bad, female and male. He thought if he could swallow the Sun (light being the first sign of divine "order") he could return the world to the 'unity' of darkness/chaos.

Interesting (North Node in Gemini stay curious!) that he would be exactly conjunct the Sun and oppose the Moon at the Aries Full Moon as we proceed through this last chapter of 2020, which ends with Jupiter meeting Saturn on the winter solstice at 0 degrees Aquarius (the New World, in the sign of equality and also chaos). We'll talk more about this in the October posts!

Today's Astrology Forecast | Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 - the reality police stop for a beer, the drunk at the end of the bar goes to work, intimate conversations, financial disclosures, talking about sex

The Moon in illusive and magical Pisces met Neptune at 1:00AM EDT, then sextiles a retrograde Pluto at 7:49AM EDT and finally goes void off another sextile to Saturn at 1:29PM EDT. Rise early

Get things done before the void.

Pisces (the Moon) and Capricorn (Pluto and Saturn) sextiles are opportunities for making our dreams into something solid, to bring magic/compassion to the mundane, reality to our confusion. If we are drifting, here's a rock we can grab onto. Or maybe better said, because this is Capricorn after all, here's a responsibility/a reason to get out of bed/put our brush to the canvas/our words to paper/our ass on the mat.

Our Pisces natal house is where we are born with a direct link to God/the Universe/our higher selves/our past lives/our ancestors. So, this energy brings assistance to this Capricorn situation. It's here to help.

The Moon will be void until 10:47PM EDT (when she moves into Aries and readies us for tomorrow's Full Moon), so most of the day is good for production, doing things we do all the time. Expect some twists and turns (that nothing will come of) and for time to get STRETCHY.

We also have Mercury (in Scorpio, now) meeting up with Juno (3 degrees) who slipped out of Libra, where she's been for what felt like a lifetime, into Scorpio when we weren't looking. This is about deep/intense conversations within partnerships/commitments. With Mercury's upcoming retrograde we will have this aspect twice more over the next couple months, but here's the kicking off point. They are together here - of like mind about a financial/intimacy situation. Or maybe with Mercury in Scorpio, a secret (Juno was Jupiter's long-suffering and vengeful wife, committed to keeping the marriage together at all costs) comes out.

With Mars in Aries (remember Mars holds all the cards now and for the rest of the year, or maybe that should read - all the "aces"), not to mention Chiron, this is all about self-actualization. And self-actualization can be messy. And painful. If we've been playing too small and most of us have, our taking up of 'more space' means other people's toes will be stepped on. And they will be stepping on ours. There is alot to work through here. A new dance to learn. Not all partnerships/contracts will survive.

For today, there is support this morning for progress/getting things done, then a period to chill out this afternoon/tonight. Once the Moon moves into Aries she starts heading toward tomorrow night's Full Moon in Aries. This is peak/culminating energy. How will you use it?

Today's Astrology Forecast | Monday, September 28, 2020 - second chances, the things we do for love, ka-ching, what won't be ignored, speaking to ghosts, hanging in there

We wake (EDT) to a Void Moon (a good Monday to sleep in if we can - because we won't miss much that amounts to anything) - the Moon in intellectual Aquarius having opposed Venus at 1:04AM EDT and gone void off a sextile to our retrograde Mars at 3:17AM EDT. She is void until 11:34 AM EDT when she moves into emotional Pisces trining (brakes off) Mercury (in Scorpio) at 2:42PM EDT then drifting through the rest of the day unaspected. We are mesmerized by secrets, renewed and transformed by spirit/our imagination/grief/ghosts. We are connecting to other people on deep levels.

Venus (at 25 Leo) trines our retrograde Mars in Aries while she inconjuncts our retrograde Saturn in Capricorn. The Venus/Mars trine is our actions getting us what we want (love, money, making something more beautiful). Our masculine and feminine sides playing nicely together. We attract what we want through action/courage. By doing something for LOVE. Keep in mind Mars is retrograde, so we might be returning to something/someone from the past.

The fly in the Venus/Mars party - besides the fact that Mars is retrograde - is an inconjunct to a powerful Saturn. There will be limits/rules/responsibilities/maybe an older person or tradition that must be attended to. Patience can be required/maturity. Saturn provides structure/limits - with Venus in Leo, we could want too much/get greedy. Saturn will put a cap on this. This doesn't lose us access to the helpful trine - which is between your Mars/Leo houses - but, your Cappy house (yes, the one that has been on fire all year) will be heard from, too.

Everyone gets a seat at the table or the table gets flipped.

I find almost always Saturn makes things better/longer lasting.

In the meantime, as Mars and Saturn are interacting with beneficial Venus they are squaring each other. We have had this tense and frustrating square for weeks. It is exact tomorrow. Then they will begin to separate. Saturn will start to move forward, Mars will continue backward.

That tight corner we have painted ourselves into will begin to widen. Shifts can also occur with anything that might have seemed totally rock/solid permanent as Saturn stations.

Keep in mind always our North Node in mutable Gemini - change is good. Something better, remember Jupiter has yet to walk these late Cappy degrees, is coming.

Weekly Astrology Forecast for Creatives | September 28th - October 4th, 2020 - love gets picky and practical, something hurts, course corrections, some delays end, karmic results

MONDAY - Venus trine Mars and inconjunct Saturn

TUESDAY - Sun inconjunct Chiron, Mars square Saturn, Saturn stations direct

THURSDAY - Full Moon in Aries conjunct Chiron

FRIDAY - Venus into Virgo, Sun inconjunct Uranus

SATURDAY - Pluto inconjunct North Node

SUNDAY - Pluto stations direct, Mercury inconjunct Chiron

Wow - I hadn't really laid this week all out until just now, it's a BIGGIE.

Mercury is in Scorpio now and Ceres has retrograded back into Aquarius. This week we have a BIG Full Moon in Aries, two monster planets changing direction (daddy's home and he's brought the big boss for dinner), an important inner planet changing signs, Mars second square to Saturn (challenges, issues with goals, authority, responsibilities) and multiple challenging inconjuncts (the need to adjust).

Cue the flying monkeys - we are going to need them.

Saturn direct kicks off the final leg of our Saturn through Cappy journey. His square to Mars at station (Tuesday) speaks of BLOCKS/frustration that takes us back to August 24th. BUT with Saturn direct there will be PROGRESS, too. Big structural change. Time to commit or quit. Maybe we will discover, if we don’t already know, how well and how fully we are solving our Cappy problem. Our world and "the world" can shift rapidly. Decisions will be made; some outside our control. Some we have already made but don’t even realize it yet. I wouldn’t count anyone in or out. Stay open and flexible, willing to honor the highest good in everyone and everything and re-frame, reshape your vision as you move through this. We close the week with Pluto direct - on that hot and powerful 22 degree Capricorn - as Mercury (in Scorpio, so answering to both Pluto and a retrograde Mars) inconjuncts Chiron. Painful truth as that power, sex, finance, tax, inheritance, intimacy, reproduction, goal, authority, career situation shifts gears.

Three aspects to Chiron this week, so we will be confronting our wounds/vulnerabilities as we shift into this final leg of our 2020 Capricorn story about how we deal with power, how we deal with CONTROL.

Don't pack too much into this week if you don't have to.

MONDAY - Venus trines Mars - this is what we want smoothly flowing with what we have to do to get it. Keep in mind Mars is retrograde, so this could be an old situation/something from the past. Delays/revisions can and have required work, but this speaks of our ultimate success with something. This is Leo/Aries - courage might be required. We probably want to do something with his because Venus is in her last days in generous/happy Leo and taking any last vestiges of summer with her.

Now, keep in mind at the same time Venus (our relationships, money, creative projects, self-esteem, children, romance, our values, our place on the center stage) is inconjunct (that rock and a hard place) a sober Saturn in his own sign. There are going to be rules/limits that need to be followed. This whole thing could take time/patience. I said last week and I'll say it again - it's important to keep tending to the things we are passionate about even if we are not seeing the progress in the way we expected.

TUESDAY - the Sun inconjuncts Chiron - shining a light on our old wounding. Mars' second square to Saturn reaches perfection - this is the one with Mars retrograde and Saturn direct - note, Saturn stations direct in the early A.M. hours and the square prefects at 5:49PM EDT. We had this first square back on August 24th, so this could connect back to that time.

Saturn has the upper hand. We keep our cool and live to fight another day or we lose. This is unyielding - a denial of aggression/assertion. There is a "no" here. Responsibilities/burdens are strongly felt. We want to do this and we have to do that. Roadblocks/limits/traditions serve a purpose - sometimes we need to go around, crash over or plow through them and sometimes they keep us from falling off the cliff. On the other hand, Saturn (as us or as authority) can win the battle and lose the war if he overplays his hand. We might have to work harder or just accept that we cannot get exactly what we want right now

The big news - DADDY'S HOME.

After many months retrograde - Saturn is back where he was on May 17th and in some way so are we - Saturn's retrograde "review" wraps up. Commitments are firmed up. Endings become the real deal. Second chances are over. We need to be taking responsibility for our actions and holding other people responsible for theirs.

It could have felt, during his retrograde, that we were getting further away from our goal. Maybe obligations weighed heavily. Walls and limitations had to be faced. Corners we had previously cut were noted to be missing. The bills came due. Maybe we were re-evaluating, re-assessing, re-affirming our responsibilities and commitments. Maybe we learned to say, "no". Maybe we learned to say "yes" to something we had been avoiding.

What happens now is going to depend on what we did with this retrograde and sometimes, especially if we are looking at an ending, something ends no matter what we did, hopefully we have had some time to prepare for it.

With Saturn direct - daddy's home! - greater external structure is brought into our lives. This can feel supportive/rewarding or like a wall/limit/roadblock.

Have we been goofing off? Staying out late? Running up the electric bill? Worn out pop's favorite chair or left his tools out in the rain to rust?

Karmic books get balanced. Rewards for hard work come in -and these rewards can look like endings if we have hitched our ladder to the wrong wall. This is simply cause and effect - we are just being served what we ordered. If we don't like what we are being served - we can choose to do things differently for next time. We can start today. Right now.

THURSDAY - Full Moon in Aries conjunct Chiron (standing up, confronting what hurts)- expect a BIG post. Mars, Aries ruler, is holding all the cards now, so we know this will be an important Full Moon. Those with planets/points near 7- 9 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) will probably feel this energy most.

FRIDAY - the Sun (in Libra) inconjuncts Uranus, this is relationships/balance vs our freak flags/independence - nobody wins, everybody loses a little. Adjustments to both sides are required.

At the same time Venus moves into precise and practical Virgo.

SUNDAY - Pluto stations direct right on the degree of January's Saturn/Pluto palaver. Here is the death that was postponed - maybe we had time to clean up our mess; to get our ducks in a row - maybe to prevent a big-bang style ending, but more likely to prepare ourselves for it (we are back where we were on April 25th). Pluto forges ahead again - bent on deconstructing the old order.

Pluto direct speaks of a loss (this could have already happened with Saturn's station a few days ago in the same sign), a total transformation or change of course of some part of our life and/or real EMPOWERMENT.

If you have planets or points near 22 degrees of the cardinal signs, you are no doubt feeling this (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn).

Pluto's direct station (as Mercury begins his long journey through Scorpio) is a time for truths to come out. A time for us to consider things we didn't want to have to deal with/think about - the stuff we shoved into closets and pushed under carpets -situations that require authentic Plutonian power (a kind of fearlessness; a sense of being past-death) - from intimate and honest financial or sexual conversations to indomitable power moves in business.

At the same time, Mercury (in Scorpio now so answering to Pluto and a retrograde Mars) is making his own inconjunct to Chiron. Words that hurt/wound. Information we don't want to hear/deal with. Maybe a need to stand up for ourselves. The week seems to go out with a bang. Or a good long cry.

Back with the dailies where we add in the Moons plus a Full Moon post and a big picture October because it's going to be a very important month.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Friday, September 25, 2020 - big girl pants on, stay in your magic

Going to disappear for the weekend to look at/think about October's cray-cray energy and I am launching a new jewelry line and need to get pics taken and descriptions written.

The Moon is in Cappy today, the sign of her detriment since she's a Cancer-girl (answering to a retrograde big-daddy Saturn with his bags packed for home - you know that "vaca" is ending feeling? Well, that's Saturn now. Do we need to be dragged from our hotel room on that last weekend kicking and screaming for the drive back or is our head already filled with the projects we are going to do when we get home/get back to work? Something like that - our choice - sort of, kind of, maybe. Saturn isn't so much about choices though.).

The Moon (as us) is challenged by Pluto, Saturn, Mars and Mercury. It starts around lunchtime and continues until she goes void at 11:36PM EDT. Big girl pants on. Looks like a hard day. No soft corners, but there IS a nice sextile to Neptune in the a.m. - good for creative work, healing, magic - so use that. Another day to get things done early with others and then hunker down for some solitary work later - if this is possible. I know it might not be.

On Monday, Saturn stations direct. And, even though it will take him some time to get back up to speed (things will continue to feel stuck for a while), it will be game on. DADDY'S HOME.

For now, we still have the Yod - pointing us toward our Leo house - what we love/how we are here to shine/our children and creative projects. Vesta is in Leo, too - making something here sacred/able to keep us up all night. What's that about for you? And today, Vesta is making her inconjunct to Neptune.

This is helpful in the sense all challenges are helpful because they help us see what really matters/what is most important.

We must find a way to keep the flame (the thing we are determined to keep ALIVE) from being doused by these Neptunian waters (delusion, escape, exhaustion), at the same time giving Neptune his due by pretty much doing these exact things (!) - using our imaginative, getting some extra sleep, getting near or into water, staying in our magic, taking some needed escape from this thing we are so focused on. It's true of all energies that the negative side is always the positive side taken to the extreme. The Sun is in Libra now - keep things balanced.

Take a breath.

I usually feel these energies the prior day and yesterday didn't feel so challenging to me as this day today looks on paper. If it's hard for you, know the Moon is fleeting. This too shall pass.

By tomorrow the Moon will be in humanitarian Aquarius for the weekend - good for groups, our causes, working with tech, detaching from the Cappy heaviness. On Monday morning she will be void in the a.m. EDT - so feel free to sleep in a bit - and then drift into Pisces to start the week.

Back in a couple days.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Thursday, September 24, 2020 - Mercury opposes Mars, Mercury opposes Black Moon Lilith - repressed anger comes out, angry words, releasing burdens, focusing on what we love

Mercury (in Libra) opposes Mars (in Aries) at 6:53AM EDT. If you have planets/points near 26 degrees of the cardinal signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn - you will feel this energy strongest. Oppositions can seem to bring situations/people/energies from the outside to oppose us. And like Full Moons, they bring things to a peak or a culmination, sometimes an ending.

Then Mercury - because he/she is FLYING - moves on to oppose Black Moon Lilith (the angry and repressed part of us and the collective, BLM will surely be back in the news and with BML sitting with Mars - this anger has to go somewhere).

Disagreements are possible. Competition. Challenging information. Internalized anger - what are we really so pissed off about?! - comes up and out through fiery words.

Since Mercury rules transportation - take care driving.

More in the weekly for Thursday HERE

The good news - a way through this - the Moon in stable Capricorn will trine unpredictable Uranus at 1:20PM EDT - different people/situations move things forward. Here is a way through. A release valve.

If we need to blow off a job/relationship/commitment  - here's the energy to do just that - just be certain that is what you really want/need to do.

Break with tradition. Embrace something different. RELEASE A BURDEN. Try something else

Our values can shift - when life is cray-cray we can focus like a laser beam on what really matters - so what really matters?

And we have the Yod (Finger of God) that has been perfecting - although never quite will. There is creativity, compassion, love. The STRESS focuses us. HERE'S what really matters! Venus in Leo - what our heart wants, our center stage, our children - for us to be acknowledged/seen, to be loved.

Someone quotable once said something like - "we have a dozen balls in the air, but keep in mind some are plastic and some are glass. Your ability to know/feel the difference will make all the difference. You don't want to drop the glass balls. But you have to drop the plastic balls or you will drop the glass balls."

Keep in mind Mars is the main guy for the rest of 2020, bringing us this retrograde in Aries (ourselves) so we can work through our internalized anger and motivation issues. Alot of this is going to happen through our relationships. If we can't own our anger (what we are repressing/what we are afraid to confront) other people are going to get angry with us!

Be gentle with yourself today. Solo work is best. Use that Moon/Uranus to BLOW OFF STEAM. Embrace something else. Try something NEW.

If something repressive really needs to end, well something could be said now that ends it.

Today's Astrology Forecast | September 23, 2020 - hard to say the right thing, "no" is a complete sentence, hard news, reality checks

The Moon in high-flying Sagittarius squared a retrograde Neptune at 12:20AM EDT and moves on to sextile Mercury (expansive/hopeful conversations/ideas) at 11:30AM EDT and then goes Void off a productive trine to a retrograde Mars (what needs to be re-done?) at 1:31PM EDT.

If something must get done today, get it done early and then give yourself a well-earned break during the Void.

The Moon will be Void until 7:16PM EDT when she moves into "all-business" Capricorn and at 9:54PM EDT squares the Libra Sun giving us this month's First Quarter Square - a time of action in the lunar cycle.

The Libra Sun/Cappy Moon square is happening on the same day we have Mercury (in Libra) precisely squaring Saturn (in Capricorn) - exact at 6:38AM EDT - so we get kind of a double whammy with this energy today!

(this is also the day Mercury starts walking the degrees he/she will walk two more times during October's retrograde, so pay attention to what is happening because we won't have seen the last of it

Squares are not comfortable and two squares are even more uncomfortable.

Libra/Cappy speaks of tension/frustration between being agreeable/pacifying/not wanting to appear impolite AND saying "no", setting limits/boundaries/ending something/being the boss.

Mercury/Saturn -makes me think of things like how good fences make good neighbors. And how sometimes limits create opportunities because the boundaries/limited options give us something real to work with.

Squares to Saturn can bring reality checks.

There might be things we can't say/can't agree to now. Maybe we hear a "no" or some challenging news. And if we do, because this is a square and not an opposition and because Mercury will go retrograde and we get to do this all again - this might be an actual stop sign but in some ways is most likely a jumping off point.

People might not want to hear what we have to say and it might be a time to just zip it. On the other hand if the temptation to zip it comes (with the Sun in Libra now) so we might most easily smooth things out/fill the uncomfortable silences with flowery pleasantries and not say the real stuff that needs to be given a voice/say yes when we want to say no, then this zipping it thing is not such a good tactic. Bending over backward, pushing elephants under carpets and denying we have any accountability for what is happening (or ignoring someone else's accountability in order to keep the peace) will backfire later.

Libra/Cappy can also be relationships vs work/career/goals.

If we don't want to do something, now would be a good time to say so. Firmly.

And we don't need to make a bunch of bullshit excuses while we do it. "No", is a complete sentence. We learned that from Oprah back in the 90's. We may have tossed our Doc Martens and Sony Discman, but the "no" thing is a keeper.

Tomorrow and Friday we have a Yod aspect that will help us get clear on what we really need/need to do - so if something (ideas, projects, etc) isn't jelling right now, it might be a good idea to give ourselves a little time to get clear. The Venus/Neptune will reach precision today, so we could feel the confusion of that - also the compassion/creativity/imagination.

Still we can't just sit around - that square tells us some action needs to be taken - we ignore lunar aspects at our later peril. Just try to get it done early.

Keep in mind Mars is retrograde until mid-November and Mercury will be joining him. We're going to have two of our three inner planets retrograde and things will really be slowing down. We will be stopped in our tracks and re-evaluating everything. We need to tend to our projects, etc, even if we are not seeing progress in the way we expected.

We are in between ages, living in the time between chapters, the crack in the book. Reality has to get pretty screwed up for us to realize reality isn't real. The Age of Pisces was really an age of delusion. So we feel half-dead because we are split between worlds and we are holding this energy. And, it's not easy to do this, because while everyone is waking up and we are reaching a collective tipping point, the bills still need to be paid and the dogs fed.

Hang in there. This is all going to make sense at some point.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Tuesday, September 22, 2020 - ... and venus was her name (and no, she doesn't belong to russia), excellent time to start something

The Moon is in Sagittarius now - we are nurtured and nourished through adventure, by what is foreign to us, by making something bigger/taking something further. Her only aspect a (brakes off/opportunistic) trine to beneficial Venus (in Leo) at 1:33PM EDT. Optimism. Hope. Good feels.

Venus is coming moves off last night's rock and a hard place with Jupiter (in Capricorn) - which will be followed over the next few days by Neptune and Pluto and Saturn - relationship, financial, self-esteem complications.

The Sun leaves Virgo for Venus-ruled Libra - giving us our Autumn Equinox (Spring down-under). A time of RE-BALANCING.

With the Sun leaving Virgo and moving toward these Cappy and Aries squares and literally/figuratively "falling" now, this can be a good time to pare down our to-do list - tense energies ahead/sinking Sun can leave us less motivated and require we either adjust our goals or get further out of whack by martyring ourselves. Feeling burned out and anxious over small things are signs something needs to give.

The chart for the Equinox will influence the next six months; in Libra focused on our relationships, women, beauty, fairness and balance.

With the Sun in Libra a light gets tossed on OTHER PEOPLE. Relationship imbalances will be felt.

And keep in mind we move through life casting our shadow (what we reject from ourselves) onto other people, so often (maybe always) it is our own shadows we are seeing now. The parts of ourselves we have rejected, "I can see I'm not like this, by attracting someone who is like this." Or maybe something like "I'm not going to deal with this, so you deal with this and then I can blame you if you screw it up."

Which sounds mean and lazy and few would actually say this out loud (this is mostly all an unconscious thing, of course), but is really more about overwhelm/perfection, and we all do this all the time.

Changing things isn't about judging anything. The death of our most prominent female jurist here in the United States is powerful on multiple levels. And especially not about judging ourselves. Mercury in Libra (although yes, kind of "judgey") can make us just the right kind of "detached". And with the North Node in Gemini our main job here is to stay flexible/curious "isn't this interesting that I am responding like this or this other person is showing me this part of me that is totally triggered by this" - ack!

Remember this year everyone/every piece of us, gets a seat at the table. It is our job to SEE what we are denying (the situations that need to be re-balanced, maybe the places we have give our power away) and those energies will make themselves known one way or the other.

We don't have to/want to make ourselves nuts here.

This is the 3D world's separation consciousness/polarity. How life works. But this is an important week. We want to be responding and not reacting - which also means paying attention to the small things so they can become big things, but also BEFORE they can become big things (when I say small is big this year, we are talking about challenging things, too).

The first aspect the Sun will make in Libra (the chart and its first aspects set the ball rolling, so this one matters) is an inconjunct to Ceres in boundless Pisces. That smother mothering thing. We could create an imbalance through forcing unsolicited help onto someone or maybe someone does require our self-sacrificing care and this creates the imbalance. We need to re-balance this somehow - if we don't want to feel resentful or engender resentment in others. The Sun brings things to light, so we can see the situation CLEARLY. Libra doesn't always bring the answers (we have Mercury about to make a long retrograde through Scorpio for that part), but the imbalances are clearly shown. Any over-giving/over-receiving within our relationships will show up to be looked at.

Then she trines the North Node - a smooth energetic toward our best future.

There is lots of good stuff in today's chart, too (which influences us until spring). The Sun and Venus are in mutual reception - empowering each other. This is not only influencing our natal Leo and Libra houses, but also energizing our natal Sun and Venus positions. Love, happiness.

Venus is in between her inconjuncts to Jupiter and Neptune. Now inconjuncts are pressurized situations, so we need to be smart within our relationships/with our money/our self-esteem. If things are good now, that is very good news for you. If things are challenging now, we are going to need to figure this out - make some changes.

The best case scenario here - we own our own crap.

The Sun enters Libra on the 22nd (because of Leap Year this year we get this MEGA added bonus of this happening a day early) - a master number, but also the number of self-sabotage if we are afraid to reach for that mastery. We need to do some stretching.

This is a great time to start something related to business/design/beauty/other people.

The optimistic Sag Moon is waxing. The Sun enters Libra (9:31AM EDT) and crosses the Aries point (our collective focus) on the 22nd - the actions we take are made WIDER, more able to reach the public and be well-received.

Then the Moon in Sag (our beliefs, legal situations, education, travel, the media, publishing, weddings, politics, marketing) trines Venus in Leo (love, money, our values, self-esteem, children, what our heart wants, our center stage, romance, creative projects) this afternoon pulling it all together.

Today's Astrology Forecast | Monday, September 21, 2020 - challenging news and conversations - be brave, go deep, merge/purge, clean things up

The Moon is in deep/rich Scorpio now - we are nurtured by merging, purging, going deep, diving into puzzles/mysteries.

She sextiled a retrograde Pluto at 3:06AM EDT then a retrograde Saturn at 7:50AMEDT and finally she sextiles our Virgo Sun at 2:12PM EDT - these sextiles are today's route through the Mercury/Pluto stuff we talked about in the weekly HERE - the challenging information/conversations.

There is always a way through.

The sextiles are Scorpio/Cappy and Scorpio/Virgo - today's way through.

The parts of us that need to be right. The parts of us that need to be good. The parts of us that need to be in control. Where is Capricorn in your natal chart? Where is Virgo? Where is Scorpio? We all carry these energies to a greater or lesser extent.

And, of course, we can only be right when we label someone else as wrong and we can only be good when we label someone else as bad. Without scapegoats we would actually have to own our own crap.

The more I look at astrology charts and the more I talk to people about them, the clearer it becomes that our road maps (natal charts) and the subsequent transits over the course of our lives to those road maps are more relevant and more nuanced than we could ever imagine.

Our beliefs, the way we see the world (our natal chart) become our reality, our way of connecting with the world, and then the world reacts/responds to us.

Maybe the biggest question we all face right now is how to live our own truth, even when that truth is not supported by other people and even when that truth does not support other people. Ouch. What is it we want that we don't want to look at/own up to?

And just as important - how can we hold a space for other people to live their truth even when we do not agree with them? Even when it hurts us. More ouch.

At the same time we need to be mindful of the bigger picture as the "service to self" vs "service to others" war plays out, do we really want to be on the side of "service to self" - this Chiron in Aries, every man for himself thing is wearing me the f*ck out.

In 2016, I wrote, "we are living in the days between the Age of Pisces (religion, patriarchy) and the Age of Aquarius (science, equality). We can see far enough ahead now to understand that we could get this science/equality thing very wrong, very fast, if we are not careful. If we lose our heart (Leo). If we lose our connection to our passion (Scorpio).  If we lose our connection to each other (Neptune). It is Pisces that rules our eternal connection, spirituality, love. Aquarius rules disconnection and chaos. What do we really need to carry with us because there is only so much room on the ark."

Flash ahead four years later and here we are on the ark and I, for one, am still so loaded down with baggage I feel in perpetual danger of sinking.

The Cappy sextiles with the lunar energies today tell us we need to be standing in our own shoes. The truth of who we are. We need to be prepared to live with the consequences of whatever we are dishing out and whatever is being served (because on some level we ordered it, even if we think we didn't). Scorpio is only sated when things get intimate/deep. Go deep. Take this stuff seriously. Stand in your power. Less is more with Scorpio - less words can be more impactful, less clutter more beautiful.

That Mercury square we talked about in the weekly tells us cooperation/collaboration will unravel if the tension/intensity isn't dealt with.

So life tosses us some Scorpio so we can deal with it!

The Waxing Sextile - Scorpio/Virgo - is this month's smooth flow from last week's New Moon in Virgo. Scorpio brings the smooth. This will pull in the theme of your Scorpio house, but also universal Scorpio energies to your disposal. Going deeper than Virgo's need for perfection/quality. Because this "quality" will not be enough. Where's the passion? Where's the mystery? Scorpio teaches us by showing us what we don't need. Go back to what you started last week and go deeper with it/connect with it on another level. Virgo is the surface cleaning/light watering and Scorpio is the deep cleaning/drenching/don't be afraid to start over if you need to/facing the deep truth.

Maybe last week's New Moon energy needs a deep cleaning/come to Jesus moment of truth.

Then it will be ready to rise rooted.

So will we.

High level Scorpio is the phoenix rising from the ashes. Make it simpler. Be honest. Clean up any mess. And keep in mind the other part of the waxing (growing) sextile (opportunity) is Virgo - don't allow yourself to be overwhelmed - take it one step at a time. Stay practical. Time is on our side here.
